The PSI Positron Production experiment, known as $\text{P}^{3}$ or $\textit{P-cubed}$, is a proof-of-principle positron source and capture system that can greatly improve the state-of-the-art positron yield. The $\text{P}^{3}$ project is led by the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland, and addresses the long-standing challenge faced by conventional injector facilities to generate, capture, and damp the emittance of high-current positron beam, which is a major limiting factor for the feasibility of future electron-positron colliders. Damping ring and transfer lines of FCC-𝑒+𝑒− injector complex / Spampinati, Simone (Frascati) ; De Santis, Antonio (Frascati) ; Dutheil, Yann (CERN) ; Etisken, Ozgur (Kirikkale U. ; Frascati) ; Ramjiawan, Rebecca (CERN) ; Milardi, Catia (Frascati)
The Future Circular Collider project is built around two main pillars: the construction of 100 km lepton collider running at increasing energies from the Z-pole to the t-tbar threshold (FCC-ee) followed by a hadron collider in the same tunnel (FCC-hh) to explore unprecedented energy frontier. The realization of FCC-ee relies on a very challenging injector complex that should provide the highest ever realized source of positrons, which will serve the first phase of the collider operations (Z-pole). In this contribution the relevant aspects related to the damping of the high-emittance beam coming from the positron source and the transport of the damped beam within the different LINAC of the injector complex are presented and discussed..

The Tracking Code RF-Track and Its Application / Latina, Andrea (CERN)
RF-Track is a CERN-developed particle tracking code that can simulate the generation, acceleration, and tracking of beams of any species through an entire accelerator, both in realistic field maps and conventional elements. RF-Track includes a large set of single-particle and collective effects: space-charge, beam-beam, beam loading in standing and travelling wave structures, short- and long-range wakefield effects, synchrotron radiation emission, multiple Coulomb scattering in materials, and particle lifetime. Benchmarking the FCC-ee positron source simulation tools using the SuperKEKB results / Alharthi, F (IJCLab, Orsay ; KACST, Riyadh) ; Chaikovska, I (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Chehab, R (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Zhao, Y (CERN) ; Latina, A (CERN) ; Enomoto, Y (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Miyahara, F (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Mytrochenko, V (Kharkov, KIPT)
For the Future Circular Collider (FCC-ee), particular attention is drowned to the crucial role of the positron source. Two positron production schemes are considered for the FCC-ee: conventional and crystal-based (hybrid), implying the use of channeling radiation in the oriented crystals. [...]

State of the Art in Cyclotrons for Radionuclide Production in Biomedicine / Marengo, Mario (Bologna U.) ; Cicoria, Gianfranco ; Infantino, Angelo (CERN) ; Vichi, Sara ; Zagni, Federico ; Mostacci, Domiziano (Bologna U.)
Cyclotrons are one of the most important sources of radionuclides used in biomedical applications. The production of important radionuclides used in single-photon emission tomography techniques such as 123I, 67Ga, 201Tl, and 111In has been based for decades on cyclotrons, typically proton machines with an energy up to 30 MeV. A special session at eeFACT’22 reviewed the electrical power budgets and luminosity risks for eight proposed future Higgs and electroweak factories (CCC, CEPC, CERC, CLIC, FCC-ee, HELEN, ILC, and RELIC) and, in comparison, for a lepton-hadron collider (EIC) presently under construction. We report highlights of presentations and discussions..

Fast28 a low-power fast readout design for SiPMs in 28nm CMOS / Piller, M (CERN ; Graz, Tech. U.) ; Ballabriga, R (CERN) ; Bandi, F (CERN) ; Campbell, M (CERN) ; Deutschmann, B (Graz, Tech. The field of detector readout electronics for precise timing has experienced a remarkable surge of interest due to its diverse range of applications in nuclear medicine such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET), High Energy Physics (HEP), Time-of-Flight (ToF) mass spectrometry and many other fields. This growth can be attributed to rapid advancements in photodetectors, particularly the silicon photomultiplier (SiPM), which has demonstrated exceptional suitability for these applications, owing to its ability to generate signals with unprecedentedly fast rise times. Comparison of timing and DOI performance of light-sharing TOF-PET modules with different readout electronics / Terragni, G (CERN ; TU Vienna) ; Nadig, V (RWTH Aachen U.) ; Di Gangi, S (Milan Bicocca U.) ; Marton, J (TU Vienna) ; Schulz, V (RWTH Aachen U.) ; Gundacker, S (RWTH Aachen U.) ; Pizzichemi, M (CERN ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Hillemanns, E Auffray (CERN)
Time resolution plays a key role in positron emission tomography (PET) by enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio and ultimately improving the quality of the image. In previous studies, an array of 16 LYSO crystals (measuring 3.1x3.1x15 mm$^3$) coupled to Hamamatsu S13361-3050AE-04 SiPMs and readout by a custom-made NINO board achieved a coincidence time resolution (CTR) below 160 ps.
