Pulsar Timing Probes of Primordial Black Holes and Subhalos / Dror, Jeff A. (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley) ; Ramani, Harikrishnan (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley) ; Trickle, Tanner (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley) ; Zurek, Kathryn M. (CERN ; LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley)
Pulsars act as accurate clocks, sensitive to gravitational redshift and acceleration induced by transiting clumps of matter. We study the sensitivity of pulsar timing arrays (PTAs) to single transiting compact objects, focusing on primordial black holes and compact subhalos in the mass range from $10^{-12} M _{\odot}$ to well above $100~M_\odot$. Direct Detection of Bound States of Asymmetric Dark Matter / Coskuner, Ahmet (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley) ; Grabowska, Dorota M. (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley) ; Knapen, Simon (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley ; Princeton, Inst. Advanced Study) ; Zurek, Kathryn M. (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley ; CERN)
We study the reach of direct detection experiments for large bound states (containing $10^4$ or more dark nucleons) of Asymmetric Dark Matter. We consider ordinary nuclear recoils, excitation of collective modes (phonons), and electronic excitations, paying careful attention to the impact of the energy threshold of the experiment. [...]

Asymmetric Dark Stars and Neutron Star Stability / Gresham, Moira I. (Whitman Coll.) ; Zurek, Kathryn M. (CERN ; LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley)
We consider gravitationally bound states of asymmetric dark matter (ADM stars), and the impact of ADM capture on the stability of neutron stars. We derive and interpret the equation of state for ADM with both attractive and repulsive interactions, and solve the Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff equations to find equilibrium sequences and maximum masses of ADM stars. [...]

Directional Detection of Light Dark Matter with Polar Materials / Griffin, Sinead (UC, Berkeley ; LBL, Berkeley) ; Knapen, Simon (UC, Berkeley ; LBL, Berkeley) ; Lin, Tongyan (UC, Berkeley ; LBL, Berkeley ; UC, San Diego) ; Zurek, Kathryn M. (UC, Berkeley ; LBL, Berkeley ; CERN)
We consider the direct detection of dark matter (DM) with polar materials, where single production of optical or acoustic phonons gives excellent reach to scattering of sub-MeV DM for both scalar and vector mediators. Using Density Functional Theory (DFT), we calculate the material-specific matrix elements, focusing on GaAs and sapphire, and show that DM scattering in an anisotropic crystal such as sapphire features a strong directional dependence. Long-Lived Particles at the Energy Frontier: The MATHUSLA Physics Case / Curtin, David (Toronto U.) ; Drewes, Marco (Louvain U., CP3) ; McCullough, Matthew (CERN) ; Meade, Patrick (YITP, Stony Brook) ; Mohapatra, Rabindra N. (Maryland U.) ; Shelton, Jessie (Illinois U., Urbana) ; Shuve, Brian (Harvey Mudd Coll. ; SLAC) ; Accomando, Elena (Southampton U.) ; Alpigiani, Cristiano (Washington U., Seattle) ; Antusch, Stefan (Basel U.) et al.
We examine the theoretical motivations for long-lived particle (LLP) signals at the LHC in a comprehensive survey of Standard Model (SM) extensions. LLPs are a common prediction of a wide range of theories that address unsolved fundamental mysteries such as naturalness, dark matter, baryogenesis and neutrino masses, and represent a natural and generic possibility for physics beyond the SM (BSM). Astrophysical Signatures of Asymmetric Dark Matter Bound States / Gresham, Moira I. (Whitman Coll.) ; Lou, Hou Keong (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley) ; Zurek, Kathryn M. (LBL, Berkeley ; UC, Berkeley ; CERN)
Nuggets---very large stable bound objects arising in the presence of a sufficiently attractive and long-range force and in the absence of a dark Coulomb force---are a smoking gun signature for Asymmetric Dark Matter (ADM). The cosmology of ADM nuggets is both generic and unique: nuggets feature highly exothermic fusion processes, which can impact the shape of the core in galaxies, as well as give rise to rare dark star formation.
