(Royal Holloway, U. of London) et al.
The ReadOut System (ROS) is a central part of the data acquisition (DAQ) system of the ATLAS Experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The system is responsible for receiving and buffering event data from all detector subsystems and serving these to the High Level Trigger (HLT) system via a 10 GbE network, discarding or transporting data onward once the trigger has completed its selection process. Measurement of the inclusive $t\bar{t}$ production cross section in the lepton+jets channel in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$= 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector using support vector machines / ATLAS Collaboration
A measurement of the top quark pair-production cross section in the lepton+jets decay channel is presented. It is based on 4.6 fb$^{-1}$ of $\sqrt{s} = 7$ TeV $pp$ collision data collected during 2011 by the ATLAS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. [...]

Measurement of the relative $B^{\pm}_{c}/B^{\pm}$ production cross section with the ATLAS detector at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV / ATLAS Collaboration
The total cross section and differential cross sections for the production of $B_{c}^{\pm}$ mesons, times their branching fraction to $J/\psi \pi^{\pm}$, are measured relative to those for the production of $B^{\pm}$ mesons, times their branching fraction to $J/\psi K^{\pm}$. The data used for this study correspond to an integrated luminosity of $20.3\,\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider in 2012 at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV. Determination of jet calibration and energy resolution in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV using the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The jet energy scale, jet energy resolution, and their systematic uncertainties are measured for jets reconstructed with the ATLAS detector in 2012 using proton-proton data produced at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV with an integrated luminosity of 20 fb$^{-1}$. Jets are reconstructed from clusters of energy depositions in the ATLAS calorimeters using the anti-$k_t$ algorithm. [...]

Measurement of $J/\psi$ production in association with a $W^\pm$ boson with $pp$ data at 8 TeV / ATLAS Collaboration
A measurement of the production of a prompt $J/\psi$ meson in association with a $W^\pm$ boson with $W^\pm \rightarrow \mu\nu$ and $J/\psi \rightarrow \mu^+ \mu^-$ is presented for $J/\psi$ transverse momenta in the range 8.5$-$150 GeV and rapidity $|y_{J/\psi}|<2.1$ using ATLAS data recorded in 2012 at the LHC. The data were taken at a proton-proton centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}$ = 8 TeV and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 20.3 fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Measurement of long-range two-particle azimuthal correlations in $Z$-boson tagged $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$8 and 13 TeV / ATLAS Collaboration
Results are presented from the measurement by ATLAS of long-range ($|\Delta\eta|>2$) dihadron angular correlations in $\sqrt{s}=8$ and 13 TeV $pp$ collisions containing a $Z$ boson. The analysis is performed using 19.4 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV data recorded during Run 1 of the LHC and 36.1 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV data recorded during Run 2. [...]

Observation of electroweak production of a same-sign $W$ boson pair in association with two jets in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
This Letter presents the observation and measurement of electroweak production of a same-sign $W$ boson pair in association with two jets using 36.1 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data recorded at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The analysis is performed in the detector fiducial phase-space region, defined by the presence of two same-sign leptons, electron or muon, and at least two jets with a large invariant mass and rapidity difference. Search for excited electrons singly produced in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV with the ATLAS experiment at the LHC / ATLAS Collaboration
A search for excited electrons produced in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV via a contact interaction $q\bar{q} \to ee^*$ is presented. The search uses 36.1 fb$^{-1}$ of data collected in 2015 and 2016 by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. [...]

This paper presents measurements of charged-particle distributions sensitive to the properties of the underlying event in events containing a $Z$ boson decaying into a muon pair. The data were obtained using the ATLAS detector at the LHC in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with an integrated luminosity of 3.2 fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Search for heavy neutral leptons in decays of $W$ bosons produced in 13 TeV $pp$ collisions using prompt and displaced signatures with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The problems of neutrino masses, matter-antimatter asymmetry, and dark matter could be successfully addressed by postulating right-handed neutrinos with Majorana masses below the electroweak scale. In this work, leptonic decays of $W$ bosons extracted from 32.9 fb$^{-1}$ to 36.1 fb$^{-1}$ of 13 TeV proton-proton collisions at the LHC are used to search for heavy neutral leptons (HNLs) that are produced through mixing with muon or electron neutrinos.
