The cosmic ray proton, helium and CNO fluxes in the 100 TeV energy region from TeV muons and EAS atmospheric Cherenkov light observations of MACRO and EAS-TOP / Aglietta, M ; Alessandro, B ; Ambrosio, M ; Antolini, R ; Antonioli, P ; Arneodo, F ; Baldini, A ; Barbarino, G C ; Barish, B C ; Battistoni, G et al.
The primary cosmic ray (CR) proton, helium and CNO fluxes in the energy range 80-300 TeV are studied at the National Gran Sasso Laboratories by means of EAS-TOP (Campo Imperatore, 2005 m a.s.l.) and MACRO (deep underground, 3100 m w.e., the surface energy threshold for a muon reaching the detector being E/sub mu //sup th/ approximately=1.3 TeV). The measurement is based on: (a) the selection of primaries based on their energy/nucleon (i.e., with energy/nucleon sufficient to produce a muon with energy larger than 1.3 TeV) and the reconstruction of the shower geometry by means of the muons recorded by MACRO in the deep underground laboratories; (b) the detection of the associated atmospheric Cherenkov light (C.l.) signals by means of the C.l. Calibrations of CR39 and Makrofol nuclear track detectors and search for exotic particles / MACRO Collaboration
We present the final results of the search for exotic massive particles in the cosmic radiation performed with the MACRO underground experiment. Magnetic monopoles and nuclearites flux upper limits obtained with the CR39 nuclear track subdetector, the scintillation and streamer tube subdetectors are given. [...]

Search for GUT magnetic monopoles and nuclearites with the MACRO experiment / MACRO Collaboration
We present the final results obtained by the MACRO experiment in the search for GUT magnetic monopoles and nuclearites. Several searches were performed with different subdetectors, i.e. [...]

Search for stellar gravitational collapses with the MACRO detector / MACRO Collaboration
We present the final results of the search for stellar gravitational collapses obtained by the MACRO experiment. The detector was active for a stellar collapse search for more than 11 years and it was sensitive to collapses occurring all over in our galaxy for 8.6 years. [...]

The cosmic ray primary composition between $10^{15}$ and $10^{16}$ ev from Extensive Air Showers electromagnetic and TeV muon data / Aglietta, M ; Alessandro, B ; Ambrosio, M ; Antolini, R ; Antonioli, P ; Arneodo, F ; Baldini, A ; Barbarino, G C ; Barish, B C ; Battistoni, G et al.
The cosmic ray primary composition in the energy range between 10/sup 15/ and 10/sup 16/ eV, i.e., around the "knee" of the primary spectrum, has been studied through the combined measurements of the EAS-TOP air shower array (2005 m a.s.l., 10/sup 5/ m/sup 2/ collecting area) and the MACRO underground detector (963 m a.s.l., 3100 m w.e. of minimum rock overburden, 920 m/sup 2/ effective area) at the National Gran Sasso Laboratories. Test of multiplicity independence of single pi 'mean scaled' distributions in low-energy pp annihilations / Angelini, C ; Bertanza, L ; Bigi, A ; Casali, R ; Defoix, C ; Espigat, P ; Flaminio, V ; Laloum, M ; Pazzi, R ; Petitjean, P et al.
Dao et al. (1974) proposed the hypotheses that the distributions, properly normalized of 'mean scaled' variables in multiparticle production at high energies are independent of multiplicity, initial state and incident energy. [...]

Observation of interference correlations between like pions in the reaction pp to 2 pi /sup +/2 pi /sup -/ pi /sup 0/ at low energy / Angelini, C ; Bertanza, L ; Bigi, A ; Casali, R ; Espigat, P ; Ladrón de Guevara, P ; Laloum, M ; Pazzi, R ; Petri, C
Two-pion correlations are reported in the pp to 2 pi /sup +/2 pi /sup -/ pi /sup 0/ annihilations, at incoming-p momenta between 0 and 700 MeV/c. The data have been obtained at CERN from several exposures of the 81 HBC. [...]

A thermodynamical analysis of the charged-pion momentum spectra from the annihilations pp to pi /sup +or-/K/sub s//sup 0/X/sup -or+/ at low energy / Angelini, C ; Bertanza, L ; Bigi, A ; Casali, R ; Defoix, C ; Ladrón de Guevara, P ; Pazzi, R ; Petitjean, P ; Petri, C ; Romani, E
The data are obtained from p interactions in the CERN 81 cm hydrogen bubble chamber at several momenta between 0.3 and 0.7 GeV/c corresponding to (s)=3.80 GeV/sup 2/. About 7000 events with one visible K/sub s//sup 0/ at least were recorded corresponding to a sample of about 10/sup 4/ weighted charged pions. [...]

pn annihilations into three and five charged mesons with or without neutrals have been studied, in order to measure the contributions of the various final states to the 5.5 mb enhancement discovered in the total I=1 NN cross section at 2190 MeV total CM energy. Fits have been performed to the cross sections as functions of the incident p momentum with background plus a resonant term. [...]
