At the Fermilab Tevatron proton-antiproton ($p\bar{p}$) collider, high-mass electron-neutrino ($e\nu$) pairs are produced predominantly in the process $p \bar{p} \rightarrow W(\rightarrow e\nu) + X$. The asymmetry of the electron and positron yield as a function of their pseudorapidity constrain the slope of the ratio of the $u$- to $d$-quark parton distributions versus the fraction of the proton momentum carried by the quarks. Measurement of the mass difference between top quark and antiquark in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV / CMS Collaboration
The invariance of the standard model (SM) under the CPT transformation predicts equality of particle and antiparticle masses. This prediction is tested by measuring the mass difference between the top quark and antiquark (Delta m[t] = m[t] - m[t-bar]) that are produced in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, using events with a muon or an electron and at least four jets in the final state. Measurement of diffractive dissociation cross sections in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ =7 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Measurements of diffractive dissociation cross sections in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV are presented in kinematic regions defined by the masses $M_X$ and $M_Y$ of the two final-state hadronic systems separated by the largest rapidity gap in the event. Differential cross sections are measured as a function of $\xi_X= M^2_X/s$ in the region $\log_{10}\xi_X$ between $-5.5$ and $-2.5$, for $\log_{10}M_Y$ lower than $0.5$, dominated by single dissociation (SD), and $\log_{10}M_Y$ between $0.5$ and $1.1$, dominated by double dissociation (DD), where $M_X$ and $M_Y$ are given in GeV.
