Accuracy versus precision in boosted top tagging with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The identification of top quark decays where the top quark has a large momentum transverse to the beam axis, known as \textit{top tagging}, is a crucial component in many measurements of Standard Model processes and searches for beyond the Standard Model physics at the Large Hadron Collider. Machine learning techniques have improved the performance of top tagging algorithms, but the size of the systematic uncertainties for all proposed algorithms has not been systematically studied. Jet radius dependence of dijet momentum balance and suppression in Pb+Pb collisions at 5.02 TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
This paper describes a measurement of the jet radius dependence of the dijet momentum balance between leading back-to-back jets in 1.72 $nb^{-1}$ of Pb+Pb collisions collected in 2018 and 255 pb$^{-1}$ of $pp$ collisions collected in 2017 by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Both data sets were collected at $ \sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=$ 5.02 TeV. [...]

Using pile-up collisions as an abundant source of low-energy hadronic physics processes in ATLAS and an extraction of the jet energy resolution / ATLAS Collaboration
During the 2015-2018 data-taking period, the Large Hadron Collider delivered proton-proton bunch crossings at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV to the ATLAS experiment at a rate of roughly 30 MHz, where each bunch crossing contained an average of 34 independent inelastic proton-proton collisions. The ATLAS trigger system selected roughly 1 kHz of these bunch crossings to be recorded to disk. [...]

Sensor response and radiation damage effects for 3D pixels in the ATLAS IBL Detector / ATLAS Collaboration
Pixel sensors in 3D technology equip the outer ends of the staves of the Insertable B Layer (IBL), the innermost layer of the ATLAS Pixel Detector, which was installed before the start of LHC Run 2 in 2015. 3D pixel sensors are expected to exhibit more tolerance to radiation damage and are the technology of choice for the innermost layer in the ATLAS tracker upgrade for the HL-LHC programme. Search for decays of the Higgs boson into a pair of pseudoscalar particles decaying into $b\bar{b}\tau^+\tau^-$ using $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
This paper presents a search for exotic decays of the Higgs boson into a pair of new pseudoscalar particles, $H\rightarrow aa$, where one pseudoscalar decays into a $b$-quark pair and the other decays into a $\tau$-lepton pair, in the mass range $12\leq m_{a}\leq 60$ GeV. The analysis uses $pp$ collision data at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $140 \mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. [...]

Combination of searches for Higgs boson pair production in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
This Letter presents results from a combination of searches for Higgs boson pair production using 126-140 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector. At $95%$ confidence level (CL), the upper limit on the production rate is 2.9 times the Standard Model (SM) prediction, with an expected limit of 2.4 assuming no Higgs boson pair production. [...]

Combination of searches for Higgs boson decays into a photon and a massless dark photon using $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
A combination of searches for Higgs boson decaying into a visible photon and a massless dark photon ($H\to\gamma\gamma_{\text{d}}$) is presented using 139 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV recorded by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The observed (expected) 95% confidence level upper limit on the Standard Model Higgs boson decay branching ratio is determined to be $\mathcal{B}(H\to\gamma\gamma_{\text{d}}) < $ 1.3 % (1.5) %. [...]

Measurements of jet cross-section ratios in 13 TeV proton-proton collisions with ATLAS / ATLAS Collaboration
Measurements of jet cross-section ratios between inclusive bins of jet multiplicity are performed in 140 fb$^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions with $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV center-of-mass energy, recorded with the ATLAS detector at CERN's Large Hadron Collider. Observables that are sensitive the energy-scale and angular distribution of radiation due to the strong interaction in the final state are measured double-differentially, in bins of jet multiplicity, and are unfolded to account for acceptance and detector-related effects. A search is presented for the pair-production of heavy vector-like quarks (VLQs) that each decay into a $W$ boson and a light quark. This study focuses on events where one $W$ boson decays into leptons and the other into hadrons. [...]

A search for dark mesons originating from strongly-coupled, SU(2) dark flavor symmetry conserving models and decaying gaugephobically to pure Standard Model final states containing top and bottom quarks is presented. The search targets fully hadronic final states and final states with exactly one electron or muon. [...]
