The Pixel Luminosity Telescope: A detector for luminosity measurement at CMS using silicon pixel sensors / CMS BRIL Collaboration
The Pixel Luminosity Telescope is a silicon pixel detector dedicated to luminosity measurement at the CMS experiment at the LHC. It is located approximately 1.75 m from the interaction point and arranged into 16 "telescopes", with eight telescopes installed around the beam pipe at either end of the detector and each telescope composed of three individual silicon sensor planes. In sight of the luminosity increase of the High Luminosity-LHC (HL-LHC), most experiments at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are planning upgrades for their innermost layers in the next 5–10 years. These upgrades will require more radiation tolerant technologies than exist today. [...]

Latest results on radiation tolerance of diamond detectors / RD42 Collaboration
At present most experiments at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are planning upgrades in the next 5-10 years for their innermost tracking layers as well as luminosity monitors to be able to take data as the luminosity increases and CERN moves toward the High Luminosity-LHC (HL-LHC). These upgrades will most likely require more radiation tolerant technologies than exist today. [...]

Studies of charm quark diffusion inside jets using PbPb and pp collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}} =$ 5.02 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The first study of charm quark diffusion with respect to the jet axis in heavy ion collisions is presented. The measurement is performed using jets with ${p_{\mathrm{T}}^{\text{jet}}} > $ 60 GeV/$c$ and ${\mathrm{D^0}}$ mesons with ${p_{\mathrm{T}}^{\text{D}}} > $ 4 GeV/$c$ in lead-lead (PbPb) and proton-proton (pp) collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of $ {\sqrt {\smash [b]{s_{_{\mathrm {NN}}}}}} = $ 5.02 TeV, recorded by the CMS detector at the LHC. Bose-Einstein correlations of charged hadrons in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Bose-Einstein correlations of charged hadrons are measured over a broad multiplicity range, from a few particles up to about 250 reconstructed charged hadrons in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} =$ 13 TeV. The results are based on data collected using the CMS detector at the LHC during runs with a special low-pileup configuration. [...]

Strange hadron production in $pp$ and $p$Pb collisions at ${\sqrt {\smash [b]{s_{_{\mathrm {NN}}}}}} = $ 5.02 TeV / CMS Collaboration
The transverse momentum (${p_{\mathrm{T}}}$) distributions of $\Lambda$, $ \Xi^{-}$, and $\Omega^{-}$ baryons, their antiparticles, and ${\mathrm{K^0_S}}$ mesons are measured in proton-proton (pp) and proton-lead (pPb) collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV over a broad rapidity range. The data, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 40.2 nb$^{-1}$ and 15.6 $\mu$b$^{-1}$ for pp and pPb collisions, respectively, were collected by the CMS experiment. [...]

Detectors based on Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) diamond have been used extensively and successfully in beam conditions/beam loss monitors as the innermost detectors in the highest radiation areas of Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiments. The startup of the LHC in 2015 brought a new milestone where the first polycrystalline CVD (pCVD) diamond pixel modules were installed in an LHC experiment and successfully began operation. [...]

Correlations of azimuthal anisotropy Fourier harmonics in pPb collisions at ${\sqrt {\smash [b]{s_{_{\mathrm {NN}}}}}} = $ 8.16 TeV / CMS Collaboration
Event-by-event correlations of azimuthal anisotropy Fourier coefficients ($v_n$) in 8.16 TeV pPb collision data, collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC, are extracted using a subevent four-particle cumulant technique. The pseudorapidity range of the CMS tracker from $ -2.4 $ to $ 2.4 $ is divided into either two, three, or four distinct subevent regions. [...]

Azimuthal separation in nearly back-to-back jet topologies in inclusive 2- and 3-jet events in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}=$ 13 TeV / CMS Collaboration
A measurement for inclusive 2- and 3-jet events of the azimuthal correlation between the two jets with the largest transverse momenta, $\Delta\phi_{12}$ , is presented. The measurement considers events where the two leading jets are nearly collinear ("back-to-back") in the transverse plane and is performed for several ranges of the leading jet transverse momentum.
