/ Morrison, L (Surrey U.) ; Hadyńska-Klȩk, K (Warsaw U., Heavy Ion Lab ; Surrey U.) ; Podolyák, Zs (Surrey U.) ; Gaffney, L P (Liverpool U. ; CERN) ; Zielińska, M (IRFU, Saclay) ; Brown, B A (Michigan State U., East Lansing (main)) ; Grawe, H (Darmstadt, GSI) ; Stevenson, P D (Surrey U.) ; Berry, T (Surrey U.) ; Boukhari, A (CSNSM, Orsay) et al.

The reduced transition probabilities for the $4^+_1 \to 2^+_1$ and $2^+_1 \to 0^+_1$ transitions in $^{92}$Mo and $^{94}$Ru and for the $4^+_1 \to 2^+_1$ and $6^+_1 \to 4^+_1$ transitions in $^{90}$Zr have been determined in this experiment making use of a multinucleon transfer reaction. These results have been interpreted on the basis of realistic shell-model calculations in the $f_{5/2}, p_{3/2}, p_{1/2},$ and $g_{9/2}$ proton valence space. [...]

A projectile Coulomb-excitation experiment was performed at the radioactive ion beam facility HIE-ISOLDE at CERN. The radioactive $^{140}$Nd and $^{142}$Sm ions were post accelerated to the energy of 4.62 MeV/A and impinged on a 1.45 mg/cm$^2$-thin $^{208}$Pb target. [...]

Dealing with contaminants in Coulomb excitation of radioactive beams
/ Morrison, L (Surrey U.) ; Hadynska-Klek, K (Warsaw U. (main) ; Surrey U.) ; Podolyák, Zs (Surrey U.) ; Gaffney, L P (Liverpool U. ; CERN) ; Kaya, L (Cologne U.) ; Berry, T (Surrey U.) ; Boukhari, A (Orsay) ; Brunet, M (Surrey U.) ; Canavan, R (Surrey U. ; Teddington, Natl. Phys. Lab) ; Catherall, R (CERN) et al.
Data analysis of the Coulomb excitation experiment of the exotic $^{206}$Hg nucleus, recently performed at CERN’s HIE-ISOLDE facility, needs to account for the contribution to target excitation due to the strongly-present beam contaminant $^{130}$Xe. In this paper, the contamination subtraction procedure is presented..

The dipole strength of the nuclide $^{66}$Zn was studied in photon-scattering experiments using bremsstrahlung produced with electron beams of energies of 7.5 and 13.4 MeV at the γELBE facility as well as using quasimonoenergetic and linearly polarized photon beams of 30 energies within the range of 4.3 to 9.9 MeV at the HIγS facility. A total of 128 J=1 states were identified, among them 9 with 1$^+$ and 86 with 1$^−$ assignments. [...]

We measured absolute cross sections for neutron transfer channels populated in the Rb94+Pb208 binary reaction. Cross sections have been extracted identifying directly the lead isotopes with the high efficiency MINIBALL γ-ray array coupled to a particle detector combined with a radioactive Rb94 beam delivered at Elab=6.2 MeV/nucleon by the HIE-ISOLDE facility. Quadrupole deformation of $^{130}$Xe measured in a Coulomb-excitation experiment

Low-lying states in the isotope $^{130}$Xe were populated in a Coulomb-excitation experiment performed at CERN's HIE-ISOLDE facility. The magnitudes and relative signs of seven $E2$ matrix elements and one $M1$ matrix element coupling five low-lying states in $^{130}$Xe were determined using the semiclassical coupled-channel Coulomb-excitation least-squares search code gosia. A projectile Coulomb-excitation experiment was performed at the radioactive-ion beam facility HIE-ISOLDE at CERN to obtain $E2$ and $M1$ transition matrix elements of $^{140}$Nd using the multistep Coulomb-excitation code GOSIA. The absolute $M1$ strengths, $\textrm{B}(M1;2^+_2→2^+_1)=0.033(8)μ^2_N,\textrm{B}(M1;2^+_3→2^+_1)=0.26^{+0.11}_{−0.10}μ^2_N$, and $\textrm{B}(M1;2^+_4→2^+_1)<0.04μ^2_{\textrm{N}}$, identify the $2^+_3$ state as the main fragment of the one-quadrupole-phonon proton-neutron mixed-symmetry state of $^{140}$Nd.
