Destruction of the cosmic γ-ray emitter $^{26}$Al in massive stars: Study of the key $^{26}$Al$(n,\alpha)$ reaction / n_TOF Collaboration
Neutron destruction reactions of the cosmic $\gamma$-ray emitter $^{26}$Al are of importance to determine the amount of $^{26}$Al ejected into our galaxy by supernova explosions and for 26 Al production in asymptotic giant branch stars. We performed a new measurement of the $^{26}$Al$(n, \alpha)$ reaction up to 160-keV neutron energy at the neutron time-of-flight facilities n_TOF at CERN and GELINA at EC-JRC. [...]

Destruction of the cosmic $\gamma$-ray emitter $^{26}$Al in massive stars: Study of the key $^{26}$Al$(n,p)$ reaction / n_TOF Collaboration
The  $^{26}$Al$(n,p)$ $^{26}$Mg reaction is the key reaction impacting on the abundances of the cosmic  γ -ray emitter  $^{26}$Al  produced in massive stars and impacts on the potential pollution of the early solar system with  $^{26}$Al  by asymptotic giant branch stars. We performed a measurement of the  $^{26}$Al$(n,p)$ $^{26}$Mg  cross section at the high-flux beam line EAR-2 at the n_TOF facility (CERN). [...]

Probing proton halo effects in the $^8$B+$^{64}$Zn collision around the Coulomb barrier / Spartà, R (Catania U. ; INFN, Catania) ; Di Pietro, A (INFN, Catania) ; Figuera, P (INFN, Catania) ; Tengblad, O (CSIC, Madrid) ; Moro, A M (Seville U.) ; Martel, I (Huelva U.) ; Fernández-García, J P (Seville U.) ; Lei, Jin (INFN, Pisa) ; Acosta, L (Mexico U. ; INFN, Catania) ; Borge, M J (CSIC, Madrid) et al.
Proton halo effects in the 8B+64Zn reaction at an energy around 1.5 times the Coulomb barrier have been studied at HIE-ISOLDE CERN using, for the first time, the only existing postaccelerated 8B beam. This, together with the use of a high granularity and large solid angle detection system, allowed for a careful mapping of the elastic angular distribution, especially in the Coulomb-nuclear interference region. We report on the study of excited states in $^{92,94,96}Kr$ populated via projectile Coulomb excitation at safe energies. The radioactive ion beams at energies of 2.85 MeV/u were delivered by the REX-ISOLDE facility at CERN and impinged on self-supporting $^{194,196}Pt$ targets. [...]

Experimental investigation of exotic clustering in $^{13}$B and $^{14}$C using the resonance scattering method / Di Pietro, A (INFN, LNS) ; Fernández-García, J P (INFN, LNS ; Catania U.) ; Ferrera, F (INFN, LNS) ; Figuera, P (INFN, LNS) ; Fisichella, M (INFN, LNS) ; Lattuada, M (INFN, LNS ; Catania U.) ; Marletta, S (INFN, LNS) ; Marchetta, C (INFN, LNS) ; Torresi, D (INFN, LNS ; Catania U.) ; Alcorta, M (TRIUMF) et al.
In order to investigate the existence of molecular and/or exotic cluster configurations in Boron and Carbon n-rich isotopes we undertook two experiments: the first experimental study of exotic 9Li+α cluster states in 13B using the resonance scattering method at TRIUMF (Canada), and, with the same technique, the measurement of 10Be+α scattering at LNS in Catania, where a 10Be radioactive beam was produced for the first time. In order to measure the excitation function in a wide energy range, the beams were stopped in a Helium-flooded chamber. [...]

In order to investigate the compound nucleus 13B, the excitation function of the resonant reaction 4He(9Li,α) was measured. This measurement was carried out using the thick target inverse kinematics scattering technique, with a thick 4He gas target and a 9Li beam. [...]
