The ATLAS group has evaluated the charge collection in silicon microstrip sensors irradiated up to a fluence of 1×1016 n eq /cm 2 , exceeding the maximum of 1.6×1015 n eq /cm 2 expected for the strip tracker during the high luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) period including a safety factor of 2. The ATLAS12, n + -on-p type sensor, which is fabricated by Hamamatsu Photonics (HPK) on float zone (FZ) substrates, is the latest barrel sensor prototype. [...]

A proposal to fabricate large area strip sensors with integrated, or embedded, pitch adapters is presented for the End-cap part of the Inner Tracker in the ATLAS experiment. To implement the embedded pitch adapters, a second metal layer is used in the sensor fabrication, for signal routing to the ASICs. [...]

Evaluation of the performance of irradiated silicon strip sensors for the forward detector of the ATLAS Inner Tracker Upgrade / Mori, R (Freiburg U.) ; Allport, P P (Birmingham U.) ; Baca, M (Birmingham U.) ; Broughton, J (Birmingham U.) ; Chisholm, A (Birmingham U.) ; Nikolopoulos, K (Birmingham U.) ; Pyatt, S (Birmingham U.) ; Thomas, J P (Birmingham U.) ; Wilson, J A (Birmingham U.) ; Kierstead, J (Brookhaven) et al.
The upgrade to the High-Luminosity LHC foreseen in about ten years represents a great challenge for the ATLAS inner tracker and the silicon strip sensors in the forward region. Several strip sensor designs were developed by the ATLAS collaboration and fabricated by Hamamatsu in order to maintain enough performance in terms of charge collection efficiency and its uniformity throughout the active region. Measurement of the centrality dependence of the charged-particle pseudorapidity distribution in proton--lead collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_\text{NN}}} = 5.02$ TeV with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The centrality dependence of the mean charged-particle multiplicity as a function of pseudorapidity is measured in approximately 1 $\mu$b$^{-1}$ of proton--lead collisions at a nucleon--nucleon centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s_{_\text{NN}}} = 5.02$ TeV using the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. Charged particles with absolute pseudorapidity less than 2.7 are reconstructed using the ATLAS pixel detector. [...]

Determination of the top-quark pole mass using $t \bar{t}+1$-jet events collected with the ATLAS experiment in 7 TeV $pp$ collisions / ATLAS Collaboration
The normalized differential cross section for top-quark pair production in association with at least one jet is studied as a function of the inverse of the invariant mass of the $t \bar{t}+1$-jet system. This distribution can be used for a precise determination of the top-quark mass since gluon radiation depends on the mass of the quarks. [...]

Centrality, rapidity and transverse momentum dependence of isolated prompt photon production in lead-lead collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}} = 2.76$ TeV measured with the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
Prompt photon production in $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}} = 2.76$ TeV Pb+Pb collisions has been measured by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider using data collected in 2011 with an integrated luminosity of 0.14 nb$^{-1}$. Inclusive photon yields, scaled by the mean nuclear thickness function, are presented as a function of collision centrality and transverse momentum in two pseudo rapidity intervals, $|\eta| < 1.37$ and $1.52 < |\eta| < 2.37$. Search for heavy Majorana neutrinos with the ATLAS detector in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV / ATLAS Collaboration
A search for heavy Majorana neutrinos in events containing a pair of high-$p_{\mathrm{T}}$ leptons of the same charge and high-$p_{\mathrm{T}}$ jets is presented. The search uses $20.3 \mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $pp$ collision data collected with the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider with a centre-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 8$ TeV. [...]
