Abstract A search for beyond the standard model physics in events with at least one photon, missing transverse energy and jets is presented. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb$^{-1}$ of pp~collisions at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV, recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC. The missing transverse energy distribution in events containing at least one photon and at least two hadronic jets is compared to the spectra expected from standard model processes. No excess of events at high missing transverse energy is observed. The results are interpreted in the context of General Gauge Mediated SUSY with the next-to-lightest SUSY particle being either a bino or wino-like neutralino. A 95\% confidence level exclusion region is defined for the production cross section in bino and wino-like neutralino scenarios.
