Nederlandse Loterij promotes Arno de Jong to CCO role

Nederlandse Loterij, the largest gambling provider in the Netherlands, offering sports betting, iGaming and lotteries, strengthened its senior-level team with strategic promotion.

Arno de Jong elevated to Chief Customer Officer

On Tuesday, the operator confirmed that it appointed Arno de Jong, an executive with extensive experience in the gambling sector, to the role of Chief Customer Officer (CCO).

Before his most recent appointment to the CCO role, de Jong held the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). He initially joined Nederlandse Loterij back in April 2016.

Holding the role of CCO, de Jong will join the operator's Board of Directors.

In his new role, he will rub shoulders with Nederlandse Loterij's CFRO, Jet Roos-van Aerssen, as well as CEO, Arjan Blok.

The list of responsibilities de Jong will be tasked with includes the development of the operator's game brands and customer strategy.

Moreover, the new CCO will oversee other strategic processes including commercial policy integration, among others.

The promotion is expected to boost the growth of the operator

In a statement released via LinkedIn, de Jong revealed that it is exciting to take on the new role of CCO, effective from July 1.

"I would like to thank our Supervisory Board for their trust and look forward to my time with the board of Nederlandse Loterij together with Arjan Blok and Jet Roos-van Aerssen," he wrote.

Finally, the new CCO outlined: "Above all, it is a great assignment to further grow the success of Nederlandse Loterij together with our fantastic employees, retailers and marketing partners."

Alexander Pechtold, Nederlandse Loterij's Chairman of the Supervisory Board, was just as thrilled about the latest announcement.

The exec outlined that Nederlandse Loterij continues to grow its offering, delivering new "attractive and safe games."

Additionally, Pechtold explained: "With Arno de Jong as CCO in the daily management of Nederlandse Loterij, we are putting our players even more centrally in the organization."

Last but not least, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board said: "With his entrepreneurial and creative spirit, Arno is the right person to guide Nederlandse Loterij in the desired further development."

The executive holds extensive experience

Overall, de Jong was a part of the Nederlandse Loterij for nearly a decade.

During his tenure as CMO, he played a key role in the growth of the operator, including the expansion of its portfolio.

De Jong also helped lead Nederlandse Loterij's digital transformation, among other strategic growth tasks.

Outside of the leading Dutch operator, the executive held important roles for De Lotto, AD NieuwsMedia, as well as EMM.
