Trust us—there were plenty of pencil marks on the wall 😆, but the end result was so worth it! We added the dado rail after, as we had to adjust its angle to suit the curve. MAISON BOURGAULT | interior design on Instagram: "JE VOIS CETTE ERREUR PARTOUT ⬇️⬇️ Il existe quelques règles à respecter quand on pose des moulures afin de rendre l’espace luxueux et raffiné. 👉 Espacement Proportionné : Pour un rendu chic, l’espacement entre les moulures doit être harmonieux. Trop d’espace peut donner un aspect désordonné et surtout bon marché. 👉 Dimensions Adaptées : Choisissez des moulures proportionnelles à la taille de la pièce et à la hauteur des plafonds. Des moulures trop petites ou trop grandes peuvent déséquilibrer l’ensemble. 👉 Placement Soigné : Assurez-vous que les moulures sont alignées et uniformément espacées. Ne laissez pas trop d’espace entre chaque moulure pour éviter un rendu cheap. L’idée serait d’espacer chaque élément avec la même dimension.

How to cut a dado rail or beading to go around a corner… 🛠 Tools you’ll need 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 ✅ Miter block ✅ Miter Saw ✅ Measuring tape ✅ Pencil ✅ Spirit Level ✅ Ruler ⭐️ THE PROCESS ⭐️ 1: Once you are ready to cut the dado/beading you will need to ensure that you measure up to the very edge or corner of the wall. This is where you will mark the wood to make your first cut. (As seen in this reel) 2: To do this you need a miter block and saw. Place the beading/dado into the miter block using the slots marked 45 degrees. Ensure that the mark you made on the panelling is exactly in line with the cutting slot. 3: Make your first cut. 4: Then repeat the process for the second cut using the 45 degree slot in the opposite dir

Yesterday I drilled two holes in the ceiling (for a light) in the wrong place, had to dig out the rawl plugs, fill in the holes and start again 🙈. Now she said I’ll spend an hour here instead of 45 minutes 🤣 Let’s make this sad toilet room more enjoyable! We decided to add more character by adding wainscoting on a 3:1 ratio. I took the measurements for all the boxes, calculating a 3” gap in between each corner and box. After figuring out the measurements I stopped by Home Depot and bought pre cut 1 3/8 primed Finger Jointed base cap trims, a new sawhorse to hold my mitersaw and went straight to my angle cuts! The first cut piece is crucial because I’ll make this my template in order to save time and cut all my 45 degree cuts perfectly. Then it’s repeat the process a million times! Now it’s time to fix
