By filler, I mean the general category of products used to fill holes and cracks in walls, such as joint-compound, plaster or renovation filler. Note that not all will work. Some will crack and crumble once dry. You need to experiment to find one that works (or learn from someone who has found the exact brands that work and are also available to you).
