This 1957 Volvo TP21 is one of approximately 720 examples built for military use in Sweden, where it is said to have been utilized for radio command operations. Later imported to the US, it underwent a build circa 2009 and was modified further for display at the 2018 SEMA show in Las Vegas before being acquired by the current owner in 2022. It was fitted with a 572ci big-block V8 that has a Holley Demon carburetor, ceramic-coated headers, and a side-exit exhaust system, and power is transmitted via a TH475 three-speed automatic transmission, an Advanced Adapters transfer case, and air-locking differentials. The truck rides on 22″ beadlock wheels mounted with 40″ Toyo tires, and a power-opening hood and rear beverage cooler were added to the yellow body. The cabin has brown upholstery, a flatscreen TV, a head unit, air conditioning, and a Kicker sound system. This modified TP21 is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with a clean Florida title in the name of the owner’s LLC.

Assembled for military use in Sweden from 1953 to 1958, the TP21 utilized bodywork from the civilian PV831 and a shortened frame. This example was refinished in yellow under previous ownership and has a black front bumper with how hooks in addition to a pop-out windshield, a roof turret hatch, side-exit exhaust outlets, a rear bumper guard, a whip antenna, a pintle hitch, and a shovel mounted to the roof.

The instrument cluster has supplementary gauges, a 150-km/h speedometer, and a five-digit odometer that shows 53 kilometers (~33 miles). Total chassis mileage is unknown.
