This set is very fun to build and worth the money! The Lego bricks come together easily, and I love Avatar too! I like the fact that the Avatars are bigger than normal Lego minifigs just like Avatars are bigger than people in the movies. I also like that it comes with a stand!

well, i didn't expect liking the set more than it did, cause the box picture didn't show quiet well on how big the skimwing ended up being, so that's definitely a good start

okay let's start with the minifigures, Jake and Tonowari is a good minifigures (and surprisingly the only avatar 2 sets with Jake in it), they both have a nice detailing on the torso and legs although sadly they both share the same hairpiece, and i kinda wish they give tonowari an armour piece of sorts since he has it in the films but overall they're both pretty good minifigures.

and now onto the skimwing itself, which is in my opinion the main draw of the set, the skimwing has an exclusive mould for the head and lower jaw thats just look plain awesome, the design on the print is also good but unfortunately the colour print on the lower head doesn't match the colour on the lower jaw but the head is still what makes skimwing work for me though, as for the body, its pretty nice, it has enough movement for the tail and main body so you can recreate scenes from the film, and as for the wings, its sad that its vinyl instead of cloth but it'll do the job and the wings gives a pretty good wingspan to give the skimwing a good presence when you display it, as for the vinyl design is also pretty good and i like the buttefly-esqe design.

as for the side built, the design is fine and random enough to represent the seas, but most importantly it also allow you to display the skimwing like in the film so thats definitely a good inclusion, and as for the other side built, its nice that it allow the minifigures to look like it swims and i also like the coral piece since it looks so vibrant.

and as for the price, i don't really think its worth $35 although i get why, but since i got it at a discount i can't complain too much

so overall in my opinion its a pretty good looking set with pretty good minifigures
