They're taking the Hobbits to Oz!
Set #71219 Fun Pack Legolas: When it comes to The Lord of the Rings fun packs Gollum is needed for some puzzles, the other two are just different characters you may want to use for your teams, however they aren’t very popular considering they don’t offer much and some places still have poor Gimli lingering to this day. The same can be said for Legolas unfortunately, but is it really a terrible pack? Let’s discuss it and find out.
Packaging
Legolas is front and center on the front of this packaging looking ready to take on all of Mordor as it is visible in the background, the artwork continues to impress while the rest of the packaging is all identical.
Parts
No real unique or rare parts in this set, only 36 pieces and not all such small offerings will give up a rare or fun part sadly.
Minifigures
Legolas: The printing on this Minifigure is shared from past iterations, however the site lists this Minifigure as unique to the Dimensions Theme. Which is accurate, I believe what they’ve done here is take the original torso and legs and put them together with the Hobbit head/facial prints, which technically makes this a unique and different looking Minifigure compared to what we saw during the days of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit set releases.
The build
Arrow Launcher, Seeking Shooter & Triple Ballista: This trio of models are very repetitive and samey, so much so I choose to discuss them all in one go instead of breaking it up like with previous reviews. The Arrow Launcher is pretty much identical to its digital model, it looks great, the only thing missing between the two models is the clip on the back for a Minifigure to hold onto.
The Seeking Shooter changes the placement of some of the pieces, but is pretty much a very similar style build and the Triple Ballista takes the pieces to make another slightly altered model, all three of them are so similar they kind of feel less impressive than other packs, but all three would make an excellent display for a small Elf army if you bought and built multiples of this set.
The completed model
Arrow Launcher & Alternate Models: All three of these models work great as standalone toys, take them off the tags and you can add them into any Lord of the Rings/Hobbit display for some added artillery against the hordes of Orcs and Goblins. Kind of wish they’d released them in a polybag back in the day.
The Digital Content
The Adventure World: Another character capable of venturing into The Lord of the Rings world, seeing as this world is unlocked with the Starter Pack, unless you’ve lost Gandalf for whatever reason it isn’t much to look forward to if you’re aiming to experience everything in the game for the least amount of money spent.
Character & Vehicle Abilities: Legolas plays pretty much identical to his character in LEGO Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, he has Acrobat, Target and Pole Vault skills and that’s pretty much it.
The Arrow Launcher can activate Accelerator Switches, one of the oddest looking vehicles to access them, it’s second model can use Tow Bar and also has a Special Attack (Basically a projectile launcher for characters who can’t shoot.), the third build gains the Special Weapon ability in exchange for the other two. Considering it’s a long range weapon emplacement from middle ages these abilities are really fun and funny to watch when characters use this particular vehicle.
Overall opinion
Legolas is a character many easily decided to skip, I can see why, he doesn’t bring much to the table. I think the physical toy is a lot better than the digital content which is a rare thing for LEGO Dimensions. If you missed out on the original theme and want that torso and leg print from The Lord of the Rings for your Legolas Minifigure you’d definitely want to pick this pack up while it’s still around at discount. If not I’d say skipping it is a viable option to preserve money.

Aiming for greatness, but just misses the target.
Legolas was a character I got purely for the ability to aim at targets, so I had low expectations. Was I correct?
Box/Instructions
The box is pretty nice, with the typical artwork showing off the product nicely.
Parts
The parts here are fairly standard, with the standouts being the 2x2 round jumper tile in reddish brown, the small dish-shaped wheels, and the NFC base decorated with Elvish designs.
Minifigures
Legolas here is a pretty nice figure, as I hadn't had him before. His hair is a nice piece, cast in cool yellow and molded with his ears. It's detailed with some braiding and is pretty long, too. His torso and legs are also nicely detailed and accurate to the movies.
The build
The build was fairly easy.
The completed model
The model itself is supposed to be some sort of crossbow on a cart, but it just screams "filler" to me.
Gameplay
Legolas is a character I find myself using, but very little. As mentioned before, he can shoot target switches (not an exclusive ability), is acrobatic, and has the exclusive ability to fire arrows into special sockets, which can then be swung on like an acrobatic pole. Unfortunately, I can't think of a single instance in which the arrow sockets can't be bypassed, and they ususally don't lead to important collectibles, anyway.
The arrow launcher is one of the weakest vehicles out there. I don't believe it has any unique or practical abilities in-game.
Overall opinion
This pack is one best skipped. While the figure is nice, it's not new, and the abilities granted by this pack are best gained through another character.
