In brief...

First LEGO Set - A basic set of Duplo from when I was 4 years old. I no longer have that set, it's long since vanished into the void where all lost bricks go.

Being aware of LEGO and excited about them - The Fabuland LEGO sets from the 80's, of which I still have many of the pieces, minifigs, and accessories. The Animal Minifigs came in handy with early Space sets as aliens.

First LEGOLAND set - For Easter, the Castle Catapult set 6030.

First LEGO Set I bought - It was a Two Pack Value Space LEGO Set - 1557 & 1558.

Favorite Themes -

Pirates - Especially the early Pirate sets when they first came out.

Indiana Jones

Batman!

Atlantis

Other Themes -

Castle/City/Space/ect - It comes down to the Theme in question and if any sets stood out for me to buy only 1 or 2 sets or most/all of a theme.
