Sweet purple bikes - I can't believe almost 300 users actually own this!

I really want those bikes in that color!

By in Australia,

I own two of the smaller sets, so that's two purple bikes in my collection, at least.

What a great set! I would love to see something similar using the new mountain bike (from 60202 Outdoor Adventures). Be nice to have some downhill racers with various bike/uniform colors and a podium. Or even better, some ramps, rocks, logs, etc.

Love to have this. Not sure I could justify £50+ though

Perfect timing for the Bikes to Billund challenge. I might take one of the magenta bikes with me.

By in United States,

I just recently broke down and purchased this from Bricklink to complete my "every bicycle color" collection. Oddly enough, this is only the 4th rarest bicycle frame color behind yellow (1 set), bright light orange (2 sets), and white (3 sets).

Man those bikes look sweet in the pink/purple/magenta color, cool that so many of them came in the same set!

Definitely a neat set.

Am I correct in assuming this was a promo for Deutsche Telekom?
(T-Mobile here in the US..)

By in United Kingdom,

Yes, this and 3 other sets were promos for Deutsche Telekom.
I knew people who worked for DT at the time and tried to get some sets through them, but it wasn't any easier for them to get them.
I think I eventually had to order them from DT direct, but it's hard to remember now, after all these years.

By in Portugal,

I love those bikes but I think there was missing light on the bikes.

Really, a bike race set would be great. Problem is that, these days everything in City that isn't Police and Fire is in a Friends set.

I didn't know this set before today. What a pleasant surprise. :-)

@jgadget You were able to buy it in normal toy shops like cedes.

I was lucky enough to have a friend in Germany able to buy these sets for me and ship them to the U.S. The only downside is that the jerseys are stickers. Still, solid green and yellow minifigs along with the white torso and magenta arms made this set a keeper besides the bikes.
