2024-25 NFL Odds to Win Outright
Here’s a look at the Super Bowl 59 potential winner according to the latest NFL 2024 betting odds:
The 2024 NFL season odds have the Kansas City Chiefs as the favorites once again to win the title. The Chiefs are well coached by Andy Reid, who has won three championships with the team in the last five years, and they have the best quarterback in the league in Patrick Mahomes.
The San Francisco 49ers were very close to winning the trophies once again, but they fell short to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, the same story as in 2019. They have reached the NFC Championship Game in three straight years, and they have one of the most complete rosters in the league.
The Baltimore Ravens signing Derrick Henry from the Titans was one of the biggest moves in the off-season, and they are always one of the contenders for the title. This might be the year for the Detroit Lions with such an explosive offense, but it might very well turn out to be the opposite after their heartbreaking loss to the 49ers last season. The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off a disappointing season after missing the playoffs, as they were hit by injuries all season, but Joe Burrow and the team look healthy again and will go for the title again.
NFL 2024 Season Format & Overview
There are 32 teams competing for the championship in the National Football League, and they are split into eight divisions in the Eastern and Western Conferences. Each team plays a total of 17 games in the regular season, as the eight teams that win their division qualify directly for the postseason, while the remaining top three teams in the overall record in each conference qualify as well.
The top team from each conference receives a bye from the first playoff round, which is the Wild Card Round, as the Divisional Round comes after that. Then, the AFC and NFC Championship Games, and finally, the Super Bowl to determine the Vince Lombardi Trophy winners. All of the playoff matchups are played with a single-elimination game system.
History of the National Football League
The Kansas City Chiefs are the only team to win back-to-back championships in the last two decades, and they are looking to be only the second team after the Packers to achieve the three-peat. This will be the 105th NFL season and the 59th edition with the Super Bowl system. The New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers are tied for the most Super Bowl wins (6), while the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys come after that with five trophies each.
Last Five Winners & Runners Up
- 2023 – Kansas City Chiefs 25-22 San Francisco 49ers
- 2022 – Kansas City Chiefs 38-35 Philadelphia Eagles
- 2021 – Los Angeles Rams 23-20 Cincinnati Bengals
- 2020 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-9 Kansas City Chiefs
- 2019 – Kansas City Chiefs 31-20 San Francisco 49ers
NFL 2024 Divisions Betting Preview
AFC East Division: Teams Overview & Predictions
AFC East Participants | AFC East Division Winner Odds | Division Finish Prediction |
---|---|---|
Buffalo Bills* | 2.70 (17/10) | 1st |
New York Jets* | 2.80 (9/5) | 2nd |
Miami Dolphins | 3.0 (2/1) | 3rd |
New England Patriots | 29.0 (28/1) | 4th |
This is always one of the most competitive divisions, as any of the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins can win the AFC East. The Bills are the most balanced team out of them, and they are more consistent, while the New York Jets’ performance depends on how well Aaron Rodgers will recover this year. The New England Patriots are almost certainly going to finish last in this division, as they are by far the less talented team.
AFC North Division: Teams Overview & Predictions
AFC North Participants | AFC North Division Winner Odds | Division Finish Prediction |
---|---|---|
Cincinnati Bengals* | 2.65 (33/20) | 1st |
Baltimore Ravens* | 2.40 (7/5) | 2nd |
Cleveland Browns | 6.50 (11/2) | 3rd |
Pittsburgh Steelers | 8.0 (7/1) | 4th |
The Baltimore Ravens are the slight favorites to win the AFC North Division this year, but the Cincinnati Bengals will make some noise after being healthy again. The Cleveland Browns are one of the best underdogs to bet on this season, and they always perform well against the spread. The Pittsburgh Steelers can finish third as well, but it will be tough for them to reach the playoffs.
AFC South Division: Teams Overview & Predictions
AFC South Participants | AFC South Division Winner Odds | Division Finish Prediction |
---|---|---|
Houston Texans* | 2.10 (11/10) | 1st |
Jacksonville Jaguars* | 3.50 (5/2) | 2nd |
Indianapolis Colts | 4.33 (10/3) | 3rd |
Tennessee Titans | 10.0 (9/1) | 4th |
The odds for NFL divisional playoffs 2024 for the Texans are really enticing. They have one of the most promising quarterbacks in C.J. Stroud, in addition to acquiring Stefon Diggs to play with an already talented offensive group. The Jacksonville Jaguars will also be contenders to win the division with Trevor Lawrence. We don’t expect the Colts and the Titans to do well this year.
AFC West Division: Teams Overview & Predictions
AFC West Participants | AFC West Division Winner Odds | Division Finish Prediction |
---|---|---|
Kansas City Chiefs* | 1.40 (2/5) | 1st |
Los Angeles Chargers | 4.50 (7/2) | 2nd |
Las Vegas Raiders | 10.0 (9/1) | 3rd |
Denver Broncos | 21.0 (20/1) | 4th |
The Kansas City Chiefs finished on top of the AFC West Division in eight straight seasons, and they are the two-time Super Bowl defending champions, so they will most likely win the division once again with ease. The Los Angeles Chargers have the potential to do well this year, but they are never consistent enough to achieve that potential. The Las Vegas Raiders still have Davante Adams, who is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, if not the best, but they aren’t expected to go far this year, and neither are the Broncos.
NFC East Division: Teams Overview & Predictions
NFC East Participants | NFC East Division Winner Odds | Division Finish Prediction |
---|---|---|
Philadelphia Eagles* | 1.90 (9/10) | 1st |
Dallas Cowboys* | 2.70 (17/10) | 2nd |
Washington Commanders | 13.0 (12/1) | 3rd |
New York Giants | 15.0 (14/1) | 4th |
The Philadelphia Eagles started last season by winning 10 of their first 11 games, but they went on to lose five of their last six games, as well as losing in the first round to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as huge favorites. They are expected to fight for the division with the Dallas Cowboys, as always, while the Washington Commanders and the New York Giants will be playing for third place.
NFC North Division: Teams Overview & Predictions
NFC North Participants | NFC North Division Winner Odds | Division Finish Prediction |
---|---|---|
Detroit Lions* | 2.30 (13/10) | 1st |
Green Bay Packers* | 3.0 (2/1) | 2nd |
Chicago Bears | 6.50 (11/2) | 3rd |
Minnesota Vikings | 10.0 (9/1) | 4th |
The Detroit Lions didn’t disappoint in the regular season in 2023 and won the NFC North Division with ease, but the Green Bay Packers, led by Jordan Love, won’t be an easy team to beat this year. The Chicago Bears have the potential to upset both teams and win the division, but it’s unlikely, while the Minnesota Vikings have lost so many good players and won’t be a contender.
NFC South Division: Teams Overview & Predictions
NFC South Participants | NFC South Division Winner Odds | Division Finish Prediction |
---|---|---|
Atlanta Falcons* | 1.83 (5/6) | 1st |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | 4.25 (13/4) | 2nd |
New Orleans Saints | 4.33 (10/3) | 3rd |
Carolina Panthers | 15.0 (14/1) | 4th |
The Atlanta Falcons are coming into the season with the best team they have had in years, as they have acquired Kirk Cousins to play with some of the best talents in the league, like Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts. The Buccaneers and the Saints will be fighting for the second spot to try and reach the playoffs, while the Carolina Panthers are almost guaranteed to finish last.
NFC West Division: Teams Overview & Predictions
NFC West Participants | NFC West Division Winner Odds | Division Finish Prediction |
---|---|---|
Los Angeles Rams* | 4.50 (7/2) | 1st |
San Francisco 49ers* | 1.50 (1/2) | 2nd |
Seattle Seahawks | 9.0 (8/1) | 3rd |
Arizona Cardinals | 13.0 (12/1) | 4th |
The San Francisco 49ers are unsurprisingly the favorites to win the division, but we think that the Los Angeles Rams can take that spot from them this year. The Seattle Seahawks were very close to reaching the playoffs last season, and they will try to do just that this time. Kyler Murray is finally set to start for the Arizona Cardinals after recovering from injury, and they are expected to be a fun team to watch but probably won’t achieve more than that.
Super Bowl LIX Winner Prediction
Buffalo Bills to Win NFL 2024 @ 17.0 (16/1)
4 (100%)
0
The best odds for American football have the Buffalo Bills as the 7th favorites to win the title, and they always perform well when no one expects them to do so. Josh Allen is one of the best and most talented quarterbacks in the league, and he will be motivated to give his best after Stefon Diggs finally left the team, as they didn’t have the best relationship in Buffalo.
The Buffalo Bills finished last year with an 11-6 record in the regular season, which was the second-best in the AFC Conference, and they have some very underrated offensive players who might get their breakout season this year. The Bills also have a lot of talent in defense, like Von Miller, Greg Rousseau, and Matt Milano, so they have a balanced team on both sides of the pitch.
2024 NFL Divisional Predictions
AFC Divisional Prediction: Indianapolis Colts Under 8.5 Regular Season Wins @ 1.85 (17/20)
2 (50%)
(50%) 2
The Indianapolis Colts are coming off an 8-9 season, in which they could have reached the playoffs if they had won the last game at home, but they lost. This is a young team that is still developing in the NFL, and their hopes for the new season rely on Anthony Richardson. The problem is that Richardson kept getting injured last year, and it’s unclear if he can stay fit this time, so the Colts winning less than nine games again has a lot of value here.
NFC Divisional Prediction: Los Angeles Rams to Reach the NFC Championship Game @ 8.50 (15/2)
4 (100%)
0
We think that the Los Angeles Rams are the most underrated team coming into this season. They have a Super Bowl-winning coach in Sean McVay, and Matthew Stafford is finally healthy and ready. The duo of Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp as wide receivers will be one of the best in the league, and they have some other good offensive players, like Tyler Higbee and DeMarcus Robinson. This is a long shot at winning the NFC Championship title, but the Rams have the potential to do great this year.
2024 NFL Betting Tips: Individuals
Joe Burrow to Win the Comeback Player of the Year Award @ 3.25 (9/4)
3 (75%)
(25%) 1
The NCAA 2024 betting sites have some great odds for Joe Burrow to win the Comeback Player of the Year Award. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback suffered an injury last year and missed most of the season, but he looks healthy again, and he is an MVP candidate when healthy. His main rival for this award will be Aaron Rodgers, who is also coming off an injury, but the New York Jets quarterback will be 41 years old this year, so he probably won’t be back at his best.
