Lisa Collier
Lisa Collier is the Texas State Auditor. Collier assumed office on January 5, 2016.
The Legislative Audit Committee appointed Collier to Texas State Auditor on November 1, 2021. Prior to her appointment, Collier had been serving as the Acting Texas State Auditor since 2016.
Biography
Collier is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a certified fraud examiner (CFE). She worked for the state auditor for more than 20 years before becoming head of the office. Prior to that she was an accountant for a law office and a property management company.[1][2]
Collier graduated from Central Oklahoma University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She lives in Kyle, Texas, and is a volunteer mentor for Dress for Success, a nonprofit that assists women gaining access to careers.[3][4]
Political career
Texas State Auditor (2016-Present)
Collier served as Acting Texas State Auditor from January 2016 to October 2021. She replaced John Keel. In November 2021, she was appointed Texas State Auditor by the Legislative Audit Committee.[5]
