Jennifer Choe Groves is a federal judge on the United States Court of International Trade. Judge Groves was confirmed on a voice vote of the United States Senate on June 6, 2016.[1] Prior to her appointment to the court, she was the chief executive officer of Titanium Law Group PLLC and Choe Groves Consulting LLC.[2]

Education

Groves earned her A.B. from Princeton University in 1991, her J.D. from Rutgers School of Law - Newark in 1994, and her LL.M. from Columbia Law School in 1998.[2]

Groves was nominated to the United States Court of International Trade on July 30, 2015. President Barack Obama said of the nomination:

The American Bar Association rated Groves Majority Qualified, Minority Not Qualified for the position.[5]

Hearings on Groves' nomination were held in the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary on January 27, 2016, and Groves' nomination was reported by U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on April 7, 2016. Groves was confirmed on a voice vote of the U.S. Senate on June 6, 2016, and she received her commission on June 8, 2016.[2][1]
