James M. Lammey
James M. Lammey is a criminal court judge for the Shelby County Criminal Court Division V in the Thirtieth Judicial District of Tennessee. He was elected to this position on August 3, 2006, to replace retired Judge Joseph B. Dailey. Lammey was then re-elected on August 7, 2014, for another eight-year term expiring in 2022.[1][2][3][4]

General: He defeated Mozella T. Ross in the general election on August 7, 2014, receiving 64.3 percent of the vote.

Education
Lammey received his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in 1980 and his J.D. degree from Memphis State University in 1989.[1][6]
Career
Lammey spent sixteen years as an assistant district attorney prior to his judicial election in 2006. In that position, he served in the Major Violators Unit, the Violent Crimes Prosecution Unit, and was a division leader supervising criminal court cases.[6]
