Claire Levy
Claire Levy is a former Democratic member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 13 from 2006 to 2013. She served as minority whip. Levy resigned her seat in October 2013 to become the executive director of the Colorado Center on Law and Policy.[1]
Biography
Levy's professional experience includes working as an attorney with her own firm, the Claire B. Levy Limited Liability Company, serving as assistant county attorney of Jefferson County from 1989-1999, as an associate with Buchan, Gray, Purvis, and Scheutze from 1986-1989, and as deputy public defender in the Colorado State Public Defender's Office from 1983-1986.[2]

Issues
Political courage tests
Levy provided answers to the Colorado State Legislative Election 2008 Political Courage Test. The test informs voters how a candidate would vote on the issues if elected. When asked his legislative priorities she stated, "Energy efficiency programs for utilities, Universal health care, Increasing transit oriented development and increasing state support for public transportation."[3]

Elections
2012
Levy won re-election in the 2012 election for Colorado House of Representatives District 13. She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 26, 2012. She defeated Adam Ochs (R) and Howard Lambert (L) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[4]
2010
Levy ran for re-election to the 13th District seat in 2010. She had no opposition in the August 10 primary. Levy defeated Robert E. Houdeshell (R) in the November 2 general election.

2008
On November 4, 2008, Levy won re-election to the 13th District seat in the Colorado House of Representatives, defeating opponent Robert E. Houdeshell (R).[5]
Levy raised $22,722 for her campaign, while Houdeshell raised $9,862.[6]
