Ed Tarver
Ed Tarver (Democratic Party) was a member of the Georgia State Senate, representing District 22. He assumed office in 2005. He left office in 2009.
Tarver (Democratic Party) ran in a special election to the U.S. Senate to represent Georgia. He lost in the special general election on November 3, 2020.

He is the former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia.[1]
Biography
Ed Tarver was born in Killeen, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery Officer from 1982 to 1989. Tarver earned his B.A. from Augusta State University in 1981 and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1991.
Tarver represented District 22 in the Georgia State Senate from 2005 to 2009. In 2009, Barack Obama appointed Tarver as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia.[2][3]
