Tilta on Instagram: "Been getting a ton of messages about this handle for the Tilta Cage for RED KOMODO. I’ll see if I can answer some of the common questions as well as give further insight on my opinion about this handle. The quick release rosette system seems really solid to me. Like yesterday I hiked 5 miles sporting one of my Tokina Vista Primes, I tried multiple handle mount configurations with zero problems. Between the four rosette options and the ability to rotate the handle it provides flexibility where most other cages / handles are limited. On top of all those options is the speed in which you can switch configurations. I found it possible to detach and reattach the handle on another rosette in less than 10 seconds! Rotating the arm using the one push button release takes 2-3 seconds. That’s insane. You can go from underslug/low mode, to vertical shooting in as little as 2-3 seconds. Vertical being “sooo popular” these days. In addition to the cold shoes at the front and rear of the handle itself, there is an additional cold shoe on the arm, as well as a 15mm rod attachment. Plenty of mount points for AKS. All in all it’s a very versatile handle. The current preproduction demo unit I’ve been testing does have a slight bit of play at the rotation joint (very very small amount) but the lock is absolutely secure. The rosette lock is also secure and reliable. Tilta does have a few other handle options for this cage too but none are like this.
