BUT… they are affordable and appropriate for our budget currently, and we are OBSESSED with the look of plywood, so we have to give it a try, right?! 

If you followed in our stories a few weekends back, we ended up redoing the island as we originally did it in marine ply which when sealed gave a more of a dark walnut finish. We ended up using structural ply from @wickes which cost us £40 per sheet. 

In total, these worktops cost us less than £200. If we need to change a few years down the line - that’s good with us! 

We’ve sealed and protected using @rubiomonocoatuk Oil 2C in Pure (pr product).
