Chapter Text
There’s something kind of funny about Legends. More often than not, they come from accounts of history, if often inflated and hyperbolized. For the longest time, legends were the source from which people learned their history, for better and for worse. Nevertheless, despite their dubiously factual account, a great many legends have survived on, and meant a lot to those they were told to. They helped these people through trying times, taught them to find and express the better parts of themselves in some cases, and served as inspiration for further stories for generations new and old. Some pretty powerful stuff, that.
But a Legend only retains its power as long as there is someone to tell it. And nothing really can truly survive forever. Legends become Myth in time, and myths lost to the incomprehensible ages.
Such is the Fate of one of the oldest planets in this galaxy. One of the first that the chief pantheon of the New Era seeded with some form of life, as a test run of sorts to ensure that they were up to the task of seeing this incarnation of the universe through to the end.
The planet is now trillions of not eons of years old. It was never given a formal name by its creators, as they felt that was the privilege of those who would inhabit it. Alas, the name never came, as the people upon it never seemed to progress far enough to bother, beset by disaster upon disaster that inevitably and perpetually left them living in the ruin of their ancestors.
But yet, some things did persist, even if eventually the very Legends that made the primary land of this planet faded into nothing.
As much as it was doomed to fall, it seemed that the Kingdom of Hyrule was forever destined to rise.
However long it took.
