Chapter 1: EP.0 : PROLOGUE
Chapter Text
You wake up on an strange island, in an unfamiliar body. All of your previous memories had been wiped and knowledge of who you were and your history was, it was no longer a thing. Now, you had to fend for yourself, find food and look out for dinosaurs. Though there's something different about these prehistoric creatures than you could ever recall.
You sit up on the beach, your eyes opened as they take in your surroundings. Your skin shivered as the cool breeze from the ocean had touched it. You are naked. You looked down at your hands, turning them over to check if you were hallucinating. This was real.
You soon came to discover the triangular looking device on your forearm. It was somehow a light blue color and the heat from it felt as if it was burning your skin.
Having little time to process what was occurring in the moment, you forced yourself to get up, legs slightly wobbly but you maintained that balance. Now that you were conscious, there was no time to wait in scavenging for resources.
It would be dark soon, and who knows what would be to come.
Chapter 2: EP1: FORAGING
Chapter Text
Your first objective was to find food. There were plenty of water around, hint the ocean. It surprisingly is safe and clear enough for you to drink. You spotted a few large bushes not too far away, all close together near the small trees standing by.
You sprint towards the bushes, skimming through it so you could find anything edible. There were plenty of berries ranging from red, to purple, yellow, blue, etc. Although they all were quite questionable for consumption. Still, food is food and now wouldn't be the time to complain.
The berries you had collected went straight to your inventory–each group divided with their respective names. Tintoberry was red. Amarberry was yellow. Azulberry was blue. Mejoberry as purple. Narcobery as black. Stimberry as white.
Surely those wouldn't be too complicated to remember. You search through more of your spacious inventory, wondering if you could craft anything useful. Other than the fiber, which could be used for clothing, you would have to gather more resources to craft a campfire. You force yourself onto your feet, arms lowered down to your sides as you once again sprint around, gathering stone here and there.
Once you harvested the materials you needed to, with of course having to make an axe and pickaxe, you moved onto your next goal; building a shelter.
Dodos freely roamed the island along with a few Triceratops feasting on bushes as you trailed through, searching for a spot that wasn’t too open, nor too closed off to take shelter upon. It was around evening, the sky slowly changing from its light blue color to more of a orangish-purple tint. Night was coming and thus far you accomplished a lot in the span of a day’s time.
Although, you would need (a) companion(s) to get through the night. Loneliness isn't a thing where you could deal with. You weren't in a world where humans reigned in population. You are on an island dominated by the existence of dinosaurs.
You slingshotted a rock at a dodo with light green feathers, resulting in it to raise its feathered arms as it is fleeing. Your attempts to knock out the mammal continued until it falls limp, consciousness temporarily leaving it.
If there was one thing you'd find horrifying, was the pure silence as night came around. You laid comfortable on your sleeping bag inside your thatch shelter, the hide blended in with the other resources, providing you warmth. Today was an simple and easy day.
Tommorow wouldn't be so sure.
Chapter 3: EP2: TWO PEAS & A POD
Chapter Text
The next morning arrives and the rays of sunlight beams through the cracks and crevices of your thatch shelter. You turned and tossed in your sleep and the feeling of something hot and goey rolls down your leg. Your eyes bolted open and almost immediately you jumped up from the warm sensation on your leg.
There was white liquid oozing down your leg and obviously it didn't come from you. Your eyes dart towards the green and grey dodo waddling around, it's beak pecking the thatch foundation. For an animal that size, it sure wasn't all that intelligent. No wonder how it's easy for them to get killed. A small glimpse of its skinny, barbed penis catches your attention.
It was covered in slime and the tip of it resembled the ends of a feather. It grossed you out tremendously and using a large leaf you held onto since last night, you wiped off the trail of semen from your thigh and downwards. What were you going to do with the dodo? You frankly debated whether to kill and it eat or save it and find another way.
That way they could potentially breed and you'd have more to use as a main food source of food. Although, you'd have to travel out more to do that. For now, you opted to cleanse yourself up first. No one wants to smell of bird sperm.
Stepping outside of your shelter, you trail towards the water, scooping water into your hands and using it to clean off the fluid. A sigh rolls off your tongue as you contemplated what to do. There was so much to do; gathering wood, searching for more dodos and simply upping on armor. For now, you had to do one thing at a time.
After you cleansed yourself, your hand plays with your stone axe, fingers gripping it firmly.
—
Nearly an hour pass and with the much needed luck, you obtained two more dodo birds, returning them back to your base. One male and the other female. The male had bluish feathers with a patch of brownish-grey, while the female had the same complexion as the first one you left back at the shelter. The differences between all three wouldn't be too difficult to tell apart.
The sound of your axe hitting the thick wooden tree echoes in your ears. Each hit weakened the tree, thus resulting in it to fall on the ground. Just when you had let your guard down, the sudden screech from a wild dodo bird comes from down the beach. The bird flapped its tiny wings as it flees from a dilo, just nearly twice its size. Green blobs of venom squirts from the predator’s mouth as it chases the smaller creature down the beach. While it was further down from where you stood, you continued to collect berries, thatch and wood, all while maintaining your guard.
Your feet quietly sneak passed the two dilophosaurus's feasting on the dodo they had just caught. Their sharp teeth now stained with blood from the carcass, rips into the flesh. You felt bad for the fate of the animal but as you would see it, it was the part of life. You moved quietly through the bushes, praying that you wouldn't get the attention.
When you believed for a split second that you were free, the sudden snap of a twig catches the predator's attention.
They glanced around in search of the noise, their nostills flaring as they smell the air. One of them at some point locked eyes with you. It suddenly lets out a screech as it zooms towards you, completely leaving it's partner and the carcass behind. The other seems to follow behind, now aware of the sudden commotion.
Chapter Text
"Stupid shits." You cursed as sharp teeth clamps down on your arm as it pulls you out the bushes and by a tree, unintentionally bashing your head against the bark of it. You could barely see anything as venom was shot in your eye making everything all so blurry and disoriented. The temporary blindness in your eyes subsides as you regain the sight of color and the scene taking place upon you. You equipped your axe, swinging it at both of them with all your might. The attack catches both of them off guard but nonetheless they continued with their attacks nonetheless.
"Fuck off." You grumbled, growing irritated by the second at how they were reluctant at giving up. With a heavy hit from your axe, the force of the weapon collides with the skull of one of the dilos, killing it. As you witnessed it's body fall onto the ground, blood oozing out from its head, your attention still remains onto the smaller one.
The female runs towards you as you harvested meat and hide from the deceased male, using it to your advantage. Clearly these things didn't have enough braincells as they continuously attack you, the female being the remainder of the pair. If they weren't such irritating pests, then you'd have no issue with taming them.
A thought gives you an idea. You did need something to protect your dodo birds and with the undiscovered dangers in this new world, you'd needed to figure out something and fast. The strength of your current shelter could only take so much damage.
Your fingers run across the black and grey scales of the dilo lying unconsciously in front of you. Her body still takes in oxygen as you fed it meat. You managed to knock it out with your fists. The only downside was the throbbing pain in your knuckles. Your eyes explored the carnivorous creature, noticing the details of it up close.
To tell it's gender, it wasn't hard to determine that given the size and the slit underneath its anus. It is certainly female. Your hands lift its tail up to double check. Definitely female. Not that it truly mattered anyways. As the taming bar increases with the span of time, it eventually comes down to you needing to return to camp and cook the meat before it spoils.
The dinosaur eventually wakes up, slowly scrambling onto her feet. She looks at you with a mixture of confusion and irritation. Nonetheless she awaits for you to make your next move which is heading back home.
Later that night, you settled down by a campfire, occasionally feeding it twigs and small logs.
Portions of your small shelter were now upgraded to wood, adding a stronger layer of protection. The female dilo lies beside you, oddly close for comfort. You made a mental note to yourself of the difference between wild and tamed animals.
Wild were more chaotically territorial, idiotic and unpredictable. Tamed were more laid back, still protective over their territory but also protective over their tamers. For some reason their brains had developed prior to their wild counterparts, affecting their intelligence and abilities as a whole.
Interesting.
As you cook the meat over the fire, you fed one to your new companion, watching as her sharp teeth tear into the flesh before swallowing it whole. There was an undetermined glint in her eye as her slitted eyes learns the familiarity of your features.
What it was could be a mask of curiosity, hunger, but there was a possibility of it being something else.

' Your first two nights are relatively easy for you but as time progresses, nature decides to up its challenges with you. '
