Tom: A very warm welcome to our drivers today. We have Pierre Gasly, Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri, welcome back boys! Share with us a little about your summer break. Lewis we'll start with you.

Lewis Hamilton: it was good. Went back home, visited family and friends. Had a nice time, recharged for the rest of the races this year.

Pierre Gasly: It was fun, same like Lewis, spent time with family and friends. It was a much needed break.

Tom: It looks like some of you went on holiday to the same place.

Oscar Piastri: [laughs]

Lewis: These boys really had a good time.

Tom: Were you with them as well, Lewis?

Lewis: I wasn't. I mean, they invited me but I already had plans so... yeah, sorry guys.

Max Verstappen: [laughs] next impromptu trip maybe?

Charles Leclerc: It's not impromptu for our next trip, no?

Lewis: [laughs]

Tom: Max, maybe you'll like to share a little bit about the trip. Just a little before we move on to the racing part.

Max Verstappen: Uh yeah basically came down, had a good time with a few of the drivers and yeah, you know, we genuinely enjoy our time on and off track so it's always great when we can come together and have a good time.

Tom: How about Charles? Can you share a little bit about it?

Charles: It was fun, a good time for us to relax and just enjoy ourselves.

Tom: Alright, thank you. Now moving on to the race for this weekend.....

Tom: Welcome back from the summer break! You boys are looking well rested and ready to go today! Share with us a little about your summer break. We'll start with George.

George Russell: it was much needed. We were able to rest and we're fully focused for the rest of the season now.

Tom: Share with us a little about your impromptu holiday. It seems all of you here on the couch were in attendance of the trip. Alex?

Alexander Albon: [laughs] Oh right we' were all there.

Carlos Sainz: It's funny if someone who didn't go was stuck here with us and have to answer all these questions eh.

George Russell: But just so we're clear, the invitation was extended to everyone on the grid. Some were just unable to make it cause it was too last minute.

Tom: it seemed that it was a spontaneous plan. Who initiated this?

Alexander Albon: Err... It just kind of.... happened.

Yuki Tsunoda: I don't remember how it started.

Carlos Sainz: It was in the group chat, no?

Lando Norris: Someone just said something and we said okay.

Alexander Albon: [laughs] Yeah, that sounds about right.

Tom: So it was you, George, Carlos, Lando, Oscar, Charles, Yuki, Pierre, Max? 9 of you on holiday?

Lando Norris: Daniel joined us too. Seb also came down at some point to join us for dinner for a few hours.

Tom: Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel?

George Russell: Yes, we're still in contact with them so we invited them over.

Tom: That is a lot of you. Where did you go?

Lando Norris: [laughs] Let's move on to the racing questions.

Tom: Right.... Let's move on....

"Hello, everyone! Lando here, with Oscar, and we're here to answer some of your questions."

Lando claps his hands before reaching into a box that the media team had prepared earlier for this quick segment before the race begins. He pulls out a piece of paper and begins reading aloud, smiling as he prepares to throw the question to Oscar.

"Alright, Oscar... The question is: What is your favorite movie?"

Lando grins, thinking this question is an easy one—he already knows the answer. Oscar pretends to think, raising his eyebrows dramatically before breaking into a grin.

"The Gentlemen," Oscar finally answers, as Lando mouths the title along with him. Oscar bursts out laughing.

"I know you well, Oscar," Lando teases, smirking.

Now it’s Oscar’s turn. He reaches into the box, pulling out a paper and scanning the question quickly before chuckling.

"Lando, if you had to team up with five people on the grid to go through an escape room, who would they be?" Oscar raises his eyebrows, waiting curiously for Lando’s response.

Lando tilts his head, clearly considering the question. A smirk creeps onto his face as a memory flashes in his mind, and Oscar catches on immediately, starting to laugh.

"Are you thinking about the...?" Oscar trails off, his tone playful.

Lando nods, giggling, before covering his face with his hands. The memory is clearly too much, and Oscar watches him fondly.

"I think we both know the answer to this," Oscar says, addressing the camera. "Or rather, we know who not to take to an escape room."

Lando is still laughing, and Oscar shakes his head.

"Lando is having war flashbacks from a few weeks ago," Oscar adds with a grin.

When Lando finally recovers, he exhales and shakes his head with a final laugh. "I think we’d actually be pretty good in an escape room, Oscar."

Oscar raises an eyebrow. "You? No way. You’re one of the worst people to go with. We literally got lost because of you!"

Lando bursts out laughing again while Oscar continues, mock-serious.

"Lando, Charles, Yuki, Max, and Daniel. Those five are the absolute worst. Impossible to work with."

Lando grins, shrugging. "Well, now that we know who not to pick, I guess we can move on to the next question!"

Oscar smirks. "The question was who you would pick, though."

Lando waves dismissively. "Moving on."

Oscar shakes his head, smiling fondly, as they dive into the next round of questions. They’re straightforward enough, and the segment moves quickly. But when Oscar pulls out the final question, his expression shifts slightly.

"How did we decide on the room arrangements during our summer trip with the drivers?"

Lando and Oscar exchange nervous glances before laughing.

"Are we even allowed to answer that?" Oscar asks, looking off-camera toward the PR manager.

The manager shrugs, and both drivers chuckle.

"Maybe we can give a little," Lando says, grinning mischievously. "The people want to know."

"It actually wasn’t that bad," Oscar says, nodding. "It was a huge villa."

"Very huge," Lando agrees. "There were, like, six rooms?"

"Yeah, Lando and I shared a room since we’re used to it from traveling for races," Oscar adds, looking smug.

"I’m a good roommate, though, aren’t I?"

"You steal the covers," Oscar accuses, pointing at him. "And all the pillows!"

Lando shrugs. "You know I get cold easily!"

"Okay, fair point. You do get cold fast," Oscar concedes. "So yeah, we shared a room... and that’s all we’re going to say about that."

Lando grins, leaning in as if sharing a secret. "But Carlos and Daniel... they each had their own rooms. They were the lonely ones."

"The lonely ones," Oscar echoes, laughing warmly.

"Charles! I hear congratulations are in order!"

Charles freezes, his eyes darting around the room as if searching for his PR team to swoop in and save him. Before he can respond, the interviewer bursts into laughter, clapping him on the back.

"What's the special occasion, eh?"

Charles exhales, a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding, and lets out a strained laugh. His three closest friends are watching from the sidelines, their poorly concealed smirks betraying how much they're enjoying his discomfort. He raises a brow at them, silently daring someone—anyone—to help him out of this mess they dragged him into.

But of course, the cowards just shrug, leaving him to fend for himself. Just as Charles is contemplating a well-timed eye roll, one of them finally picks up the microphone. Alexander Albon’s warm smile meets his gaze, and Charles feels a flicker of relief. Trust Alex to come through when it counts.

"It was a fantastic party," Alex says smoothly, redirecting the conversation. "Very last minute, though."

"Too last minute," Lando pipes up, earning a chuckle from George.

"How last minute are we talking?" the interviewer asks, now fully distracted, shifting his attention from Charles to the others.

Charles silently blesses Alex for the diversion. This wasn’t how their media day interview was supposed to go. The four of them—dubbed the "Twitch Quartet" by their fans—had been invited for a lighthearted chat. Despite not streaming as much these days, their group dynamic still had a loyal following.

George hums thoughtfully, a mischievous smile tugging at his lips. "Basically, Daniel threw us all into a group chat, some conversations happened, and the next thing we know, 24 hours later, we’re packing our bags and flying out."

"It’s funny," Alex adds. "George and I had this whole hiking trip planned in Indonesia, but as soon as we saw Daniel’s text, we just dropped everything."

The interviewer grins. "Well, if Daniel Ricciardo’s hosting, it’s bound to be epic, right?"

Charles laughs nervously. He’s not sure if the interviewer realizes he’s just subtly confirmed Daniel as the mastermind behind the trip—the one everyone in the media and their grandmothers had been speculating about for weeks. The other three seem blissfully unaware, though, the atmosphere still light and playful.

"Ten drivers in one villa," the interviewer muses. "That must have been chaos."

"Absolute chaos," George agrees immediately.

"It’s ten guys," Lando chimes in, deadpan. "And three of them are Daniel, Max, and Yuki. That’s all the chaos you need."

"Those Red Bull boys do know how to party," the interviewer jokes.

"Oh, you don’t know the half of it," George sighs, feigning exasperation.

"Come on, share one favorite memory from the trip—if you can recall any," the interviewer teases, gesturing toward Alex.

Alex adjusts his hat, grinning as he thinks. "Hmm… I don’t know."

"He didn’t enjoy it," Lando quips immediately.

"Hated every second," George adds with a smirk.

Alex laughs, shaking his head. "No, no! I think I enjoyed it too much, honestly. It’s hard to pick one moment. These guys… I grew up racing with them. We’ve been through so much together, so getting away and just relaxing for once was special. Not many people understand what we do, but these guys get it. They’re the only ones who truly do."

Charles nods in quiet agreement. Alex’s words resonate deeply with him. As much as they’re rivals on the track, they’ve grown up side by side, witnessing each other’s triumphs, failures, and milestones. They’ve traveled the world together, spent more time with one another than with their own families. It’s a bond no one outside the grid can fully grasp.

And for one unforgettable trip, they had the rare chance to just be themselves—not competitors, but friends. Charles loved every moment of it.

"But that, ladies and gentlemen," the interviewer says with a grin, "was a textbook example of a perfectly rehearsed PR answer."

The others laugh, but the interviewer isn’t letting them off the hook that easily. He turns to Lando, gesturing for him to share next.

And Lando... Charles feels the beginnings of a headache. Lando has that look. The one that spells trouble.

Charles has always known Lando Norris would be the death of him someday.

"Alex doesn’t remember anything," Lando says with mock seriousness, "hence the very polished response."

"Hey! I wasn’t as blackout drunk as you!" Alex retorts, immediately defensive.

"Mate, you had Oscar carrying you back to your room most nights," Charles teases, smirking.

Lando’s cheeks flush pink, and he narrows his eyes at Charles. "You’re not any better, mate."

"Alright, alright, break it up, boys," the interviewer interjects, laughing as he holds up his hands. "George, what about you? Any favorite moments?"

George leans back, scratching his chin as he thinks. "Favorite moment... Geez. Let me see if I can come up with a decent answer... Hmm. Honestly? I’d say it was when we were discussing breakfast arrangements."

"Oh my God," Alex groans, burying his face in his hands as he laughs. "That was the worst."

"Most stressful time of my life," Lando agrees, shaking his head.

George chuckles. "Every night, we’d have these long, drawn-out discussions about how we were going to handle breakfast the next morning. Someone—probably Daniel—suggested we take turns making it in groups."

"I think Daniel even found a whiteboard," Alex adds, grinning. "God knows where he got it, but suddenly we had this whole system for buying ingredients and planning meals."

"And yet," George continues, laughing, "every morning the table was completely empty because we were either too tired or too hungover to actually cook."

"So you guys just ended up ordering in?" the interviewer asks curiously.

George shakes his head, smiling at the memory. "We were too remote for delivery. So we ate scrambled eggs and bread every morning, whoever woke up first making it for everyone."

"I couldn’t eat eggs for a week after that," Alex admits..

"But Alex," George chimes in, his eyes lighting up, "do you remember that one morning? You were in the kitchen with Carlos, and then Yuki came down and did... whatever he did with the eggs. It was incredible."

Alex laughs, nodding. "Oh yeah, Yuki saved us from food poisoning. He was the MVP of the trip, no doubt."

"I can only imagine the chaos of it all," the interviewer laughs, shaking his head fondly.

"I think there's a video somewhere of us bickering about food. Don’t you remember?" Lando says, glancing at Alex.

"There definitely is," Alex nods, smirking.

"Any chance you could share an exclusive clip with us?" the interviewer asks, his tone practically begging.

The boys exchange a look, shrugging in unison. They’ll find a video that’s safe to share—or at least safe enough. Charles nods, already bracing himself for whatever comes next.

A few days later, Charles receives an update: the Twitch Quartet interview is going viral, and the exclusive video at the end is the main reason why. George had vetted the video, checked with Charles to make sure it was harmless, and Charles, after watching it a million times, gave the green light.

It was, as it turns out, not harmless.

The video starts off innocently enough. It’s filmed on George’s phone, beginning in selfie mode as George grins at the camera.

"This is amazing," George says with barely contained excitement. "Oh boy, Daniel has found a whiteboard."

The camera flips, revealing Daniel Ricciardo proudly standing next to a whiteboard on an outdoor patio. The scene is picturesque: a pool glistens in the background, and Alexander Albon, Yuki Tsunoda, Oscar Piastri, Charles Leclerc, and Pierre Gasly are all in the pool, all watching Daniel with a mix of amusement and curiosity.

"Alright, so!" Daniel claps his hands, the self-appointed captain of breakfast logistics. "We’ll split into groups to make breakfast in the mornings."

"What are we doing now?" a voice interrupts.

The camera pans to Max Verstappen, casually strolling toward the pool with two beers in hand. He takes a seat at the pool's edge, feet dangling in the water. Charles swims towards him and rests against rhe edge of the pool, as Max hands one of the bottles to Charles, bending down to whisper something. Charles giggles, then teasingly splashes water at Max.

"Mate, where did you even get that board?" Carlos Sainz asks as the camera shifts again. Carlos steps out of the villa, stopping dead in his tracks as he stares at the whiteboard, confusion written all over his face.

Before Daniel can answer, chaos ensues.

Lando Norris bolts out of the villa at full speed, running past Carlos and cannonballing into the pool. Water explodes everywhere, soaking everyone nearby.

"Lando!! I just grabbed these!" Max shouts, holding up his drenched beer bottle in exasperation. Without missing a beat, he plucks Charles’s bottle out of his hand as well and retreats toward the villa, muttering something unintelligible under his breath.

Meanwhile, Yuki is stealing the spotlight, attempting—and somehow landing—backflips into the pool while the rest of the boys cheer him on.

The camera pans back to Daniel, who simply shrugs as if to say, What can you do? Then, without another word, he dives into the pool, whiteboard plans officially forgotten.

"I guess there goes the breakfast plans," George’s amused voice narrates as the video ends.

"Max looks grumpy."

Carlos leans over and whispers, subtly elbowing his teammate while waving to the crowd. The two are making their rounds in Monza during the drivers’ parade, cruising in vintage cars as they greet fans lining the track.

Charles sighs, glancing at Carlos while still waving. “He’s been like this since that video.”

Carlos raises an eyebrow, intrigued. “You two weren’t kissing in the video, right?”

Charles shoots him a pointed look, his expression screaming, What do you think?

“but now,” Charles adds with a dramatic sigh, “our PR teams think it’s best if we keep our distance this weekend.”

Carlos chuckles, patting his teammate on the back. “Good luck with that. I’d like to see anyone try to keep you two apart.”

Charles can’t help but grin bashfully as their cars approach the paddock. They hop out and begin heading toward their garages when Carlos notices Max in his peripheral vision. He’s storming toward them with fierce determination, but just as he’s about to reach them, a member of the Red Bull staff intercepts him. Quite literally, they drag him away, leaving Max visibly frustrated.

Carlos bursts into laughter. “Oh, this weekend is going to be fun.”

“Congratulations on securing fourth, Carlos.”

A Sky Sports reporter greets him warmly, handing him a microphone. Carlos, while disappointed with his finish, feels the sting lessen knowing Charles took the win. At least Ferrari has something to celebrate.

After giving a concise race debrief, Carlos feels a hand squeeze his shoulder. Turning, he finds Max Verstappen, still sweaty from the race, offering a half-hug.

“Congrats on P4,” Max says with a grin.

“What about you? Where’d you finish?” Carlos asks.

“Sixth,” Max replies, groaning. “The car was terrible today—balance issues, just bad all around.”

Carlos nods sympathetically, but Max’s mind seems elsewhere.

“Have you seen Charles?” Max asks, his tone casual but his eyes sharp.

Carlos smirks, raising an eyebrow knowingly as he raises his hand and whispers . “Are you even allowed to see him?”

Max rolls his eyes, laughing. “Oh, fuck off, man.”

Their playful exchange earns a few chuckles from the nearby media crew. Max gives Carlos a shove before being called away for another round of interviews.

Carlos shakes his head, amused, and turns back to the Sky Sports reporter. “What a funny guy, that Verstappen.”

The interviewer chuckles. “He’s certainly something. Speaking of which, fans are saying he seemed quite comfortable with your teammate in a certain video…”

Carlos grins but narrows his eyes slightly—he knows bait when he sees it. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

The reporter nervously laughs, and before they can push further, Carlos’s PR team steps in, signaling it’s time to wrap up. With a polite nod, Carlos walks off, already gearing up for the next round of interviews.

It’s a nightmare.

Whenever Charles participates in these Ferrari challenges with Carlos, he’s tempted to fight everyone on the PR team. It’s not that he dislikes Carlos—no, it’s just that he can never seem to win. Carlos has a knack for quickly grasping instructions, while Charles often struggles to keep up. It doesn’t help that Charles is incredibly competitive (even if he won’t admit it), and, truth be told, he’s a sore loser.

Today, they’re playing a game of chess, but there’s a twist—it’s live-streamed for Instagram. And, of course, Charles is losing, while Carlos is savoring every second of it.

Charles is starting to crack under the pressure, his mind racing for any possible way to turn the game around. Then, a thought crosses his mind. Why not cheat? What’s the harm? So, he makes a subtle, crafty move—but Carlos spots it immediately.

“Hey!!” Carlos shouts, voice rising in mock outrage.

And just like that, they’re tussling over the chessboard. Charles is laughing, trying to escape Carlos’s grip while Carlos is literally pushing him away from the pieces.

“I’m going to tell Max that you cheated!” Carlos threatens, still wrestling with Charles.

“Stop telling him everything!” Charles chuckles, trying to wriggle free.

“You guys are married, right?” Carlos teases, a smirk dancing on his lips.

“Oh my God, we are not!” Charles protests, finally breaking free from Carlos’s hold.

Carlos grins, eyeing Charles’s wild hair with amusement, while Charles huffs in mock frustration. He shoots a pointed look at the camera.

“We are not married,” Charles says firmly, pointing an accusing finger at the lens.

Carlos doesn’t let up, his grin widening. “You’re just engaged, then.”

Charles groans in exasperation. “Carlos! Stop!”

Charles beams, thanking the interviewer as he launches into an explanation about how well the team had worked during the race and how thrilled he is to score points for them. His enthusiasm is palpable as he speaks, his grin widening with every word.

He halts mid-sentence, startled by a firm but familiar squeeze on his shoulders. Turning, he’s greeted by Max, grinning at him.

"Congratulations!" Max says warmly, pulling Charles into a tight hug.

The interviewer chuckles at the scene, teasing lightly, "Aww, look at this! What a sweet little gesture."

Max squeezes Charles once more before stepping back, his grin still firmly in place. He’s just about to leave when the interviewer stops him, shoving a microphone toward him.

"Max, just a quick question," they ask playfully. "How happy are you for Charles on his win?"

Max arches an eyebrow, the corner of his mouth quirking up as he throws an arm around Charles’s shoulder. "Very happy," he replies, turning to look at Charles with mock seriousness. "He is my fiancé, after all."

Charles groans, batting Max’s arm away. "We are not engaged!" he protests, his voice somewhere between exasperation and amusement.

Max lets him go, laughing, but the teasing twinkle in his eyes doesn’t fade. Before Charles can retaliate, Max’s manager calls out, motioning for him to move on to his next obligation.

"Looks like you’ve got to go," the interviewer says, thanking Max for his time.

Max nods, still laughing, but before he walks away, he turns back to Charles, his grin softening just slightly.

"See you later, fiancé," he teases, the words dripping with playful affection.

And then, to Charles’s utter shock—and the delight of everyone watching—Max cups his jaw, leans down, and kisses him breathlessly.

Tom: First and foremost, a big congratulations to Max Verstappen on your very happy relationship with Ferrari’s golden boy, Charles Leclerc.

(All the drivers starts applauding)

Tom: Before we start talking about the race, can you maybe share with us a little bit about your relationship with Charles? When did this all begin and how are your thoughts moving forward racing against your boyfriend on track?

Max Verstappen: It's been going on for awhile now and us being together has never affected our races. So... Yeah. You know, we're at the stage where we decided that we wanted to share what we have with our fans but aside from that, nothing has changed in our abilities to race against each other.

Tom: You don't think that being together will affect your career in any way?

Max Verstappen: No, we've been together for some time now and nothing has changed. So I don't see how it will affect our career is any way.

Tom: And what about the other drivers on the grid? I supposed that they already knew about this relationship?

Max Verstappen; *chuckles while looking at the drivers* I think they're happy for us.

Lando Norris: We didn't know it was happening until recently.

Carlos Sainz: I was wondering why I keep seeing you at our garage.

Pierre Gasly: I'm surprised Charles was able to keep it from me for so long.

Max Verstappen: I'm surprised as well.

Tom: So the trip that you boys had... It was for both you and Charles? What was the congratulations for?

Max Verstappen; Ah well... That's a funny story.

It's been awhile.

Charles presses a kiss to his boyfriend's cheeks, snuggling closer. He loves how Max is always so warm against his skin. Max kisses Charles hair and then his focus shifts back to his game.

They're snuggled on the couch, Max playing a game of Fifa while Charles chooses to watch. He's not interested in playing anymore, after Max has beaten him five times before this, but he's content to watch as Max continues playing.

"I’m getting some drinks." Charles yawns and then stumbles out of Max's hold, stretching as he gets up.

Max pauses the game, leaning back to watch as Charles’s shirt rides up his body as he stretches. He smirks when he notices Charles catching him staring and shakes his head in amusement.

"Like what you see, mi amour?" Charles asks teasingly.

Max nods, hands reaching out to grab Charles by his waist. He pulls Charles and Charles stumbles back into Max's lap.

"I always like you." Max responds, smirking.

Charles rolls his eyes, repositioning himself more comfortably on Max's lap. He bends his head down to press his lips against Max's, moaning softly as Max deepens the kiss.

Charles moans as Max slips a hand underneath his shirt and when they finally breaking their kiss, Charles sighs dreamily, leaning his forehead against Max's.

"I love you." He whispers, kissing Max’s nose.

"Love you too, Mijn liefje." Max smiles, kissing Charles's forehead.

"Thank you for bringing me here." Charles softly says, "It’s so beautiful."

"You're beautiful." Max grins teasingly while Charles rolls his eyes exasperated.

Max had surprised Charles with a romantic getaway a few days ago. Their two years anniversary is in a few days and Max had pulled some strings and brought them to a private island. The last few days had been so peaceful with nothing but sea, sand and lots of sex.

"I guess it's good that Daniel walked in on us after all." Max smirks.

Charles shakes his head, grimacing "Don't even remind me."

Max chuckles, "I can't believe he knows someone who owns a private isla-."

"SUPRISE MOTHERFUCKERS!"

The booming shouts startle them and Charles and Max are flying and scrambling apart, almost falling over. The door to the villa flies open, and....

Standing there, grinning like they've just pulled off the heist of the century, are Daniel, Lando, Pierre and the rest of their chaotic crew.

Fuck.

"I guess it's not that bad."

Max smiles, pressing a kiss to Charles’s hair as they watch their friends. It’s the last day of their romantic getaway—well, not so romantic anymore since their friends decided to crash it.

“They’re a handful, aren’t they?” Max sighs, nodding toward the group. “Especially that idiot over there.”

He gestures to Daniel, who’s laughing obnoxiously at something Lando just said.

“They mean well,” Charles replies, tilting his chin toward their friends. “All of them.”

Max grins, brushing his nose against Charles’s. “Happy anniversary, Charles.”

Charles wraps his arms around Max, pressing a kiss to his cheek before leaning down to whisper in his ear.

“You look very handsome in white, chéri.”

Max groans dramatically. “I still can’t believe those idiots hid our luggages and made us wear all their white clothes the entire time.”

Charles laughs, stealing a quick kiss. “It’s kind of romantic, though, isn’t it?”

Max’s smile softens as he cradles Charles’s jaw, his gaze warm and full of affection.

“I do love seeing you, us, in white, schat.”

Charles grins, humming in response. He knows exactly what Max means—and maybe someday, they’ll be back here for an entirely different celebration.

But for now, as he leans into Max and watches their friends bicker and laugh, Charles feels content. This moment, with Max by his side and the chaos of their friends filling the air, is more than enough.
