Chapter Text

In the dark cold moon, a boy was running through a forest, crying and panting. He was running away from something or even, someone. He couldn’t see anything, he was all alone, trying to find the only light, the light of freedom. The sound of the men and dogs weren’t as loud as earlier, either he was becoming deaf or he succeeded, he was far from them. He sat down, behind a giant rock.

“Oh please God, I’m sorry for everything, please forgive my desperate soul. I’ll never preach again, God, I’m begging you…”

He could only rest a little time before he could clearly hear their voices, they all were here. He stood up and ran away again, always in the same direction and at the exact opposite of the men. He could finally see the end of the forest, the light of the dark moon and.. He just found himself at the edge of a cliff. Too high to jump without any consequences.

What could he even do ? The men were there, coming for him, the dog’s barks were clearer than before. Jumping ? No way…- But he would never go back there. He looked at the men, they all were here, surrounding him. He looked back at the end of the cliff, it was.. High. Really high.

“Ah, God, please forgive me for what I’m about to do. I know, I’ll go to Hell for that. I’m sorry again God… I… I’m so sorry…”

The boy closed his eyes and took a step back, letting himself fall into the dark and high pit. While falling, he opened his eyes again to see at least one last time the magnificent moon. He smiled, some tears were falling from his face.

He was free, finally free.

Chapter Text

The dark was embracing the cold and unmoving body on the floor, nobody could see a single thing, everything was so dark in the room… Everyone was confused, the summoning ended up turning off all the lights. The body wasn’t moving from an inch, no sign of life, absolutely nothing. The only man in the room started to approach it, still being careful of any kind of movements they could do. We could feel the nervous atmosphere of the room, not being sure of anything.

“Someone, light up the candles per favore. We can’t see a single thing here..”

One of the monstrosities in this room immediately lit up some candles, they could finally see what the body looked like. It looked like it was really fragile, it was so.. Short and tiny. It was clearly something unexpected since everyone in the room looked shocked somehow. A choir “Aww” resonated in the room. They all admired the little cold body in the centre of the room. The man started to move towards the body.

“Do.. You think it’s alive ?” the man asked to the other things in the room.

They all looked at each other, not really sure of the response, they could all feel the presence of the new one there but.. It was really soft, only a slight fire between all the other big ones. They all agreed though. The man sighed and kneeled down next to the body, he could notice many scars and scratches on it, dear Lucifer, what happened to them ? He gently touched his body, trying to get any form of life from it and it actually itched.

“Oh Satanas, thank you. Could you warm them up in some sheets and put them in their bed ?”

The biggest ones in the room agreed, they immediately went to find some soft sheets to warm their body inside. Even at the touch of the sheets, the body wasn’t even moving, their tail, their ears… Nothing. They could only see their light skin itching. They all were seriously concerned for them. As the man was watching closely the big one taking the cold body in their bed, the others were asking him many questions that he couldn’t even respond.

“Papa, what do you think will be their name ?”

“Hey, do you think they’ll be a lil’ softie ?”

“Oh ! What will be their place in the band ?”

None of these questions could be responded, at least not until they woke up. The man was only wondering one thing ; “Could they even make it ?”. He tried to not think a lot about it and then he just went back to his usual occupation, same for the others.. Even if the arrival of a new member had brought chaos in the mind of everyone. All senses are increased, having to understand the feeling of a new person, their essence and scent…Everything is always hard for them to handle.

After some long days of waiting, the monstrosities have decided to do some turn over to keep an eye on the new one. Even the only man of the band joined them. They all wanted to make sure everything was okay. They seemed to be better than the first day after the summoning but still very weak. They started to make some theories about them, like if they will always be weak, how they act and many other things like that, they even started to make some bets… Yeah that wasn’t really… Right…?

One night, everything was just silent. In the cold and dark room, one of the most gentle person of the band looked over at them. Everything was dark, cold and blurry, their head was hurting so bad and couldn’t help but whine about it. The person sitting on the sofa immediately raised her head towards them, it was the first time the new one was making any noises, maybe.. They finally woke up ? The young thing was moving slightly even if his whole body hurts and burns, the sheets were burning, the mattress was burning, everything felt like it was burning their body. They slowly opened his eyes from his dark nightmare and the first thing they saw was.. Shiny eyes looking deeply into theirs.

They immediately straightened up, hissing at that thing, they reacted on pure instincts, obviously. They couldn’t help but be scared of that thing. The thing got a bit scared of them, they didn’t seem to be a big menace but still… The little ones can be the most savage ones. They were warping up the sheets around them, like a shield even if that shield was hurting them. They were hissing a lot, showing the thing in front of them their sharp teeths, and they were extremely shocked by how they looked, their teeths were short, but sharp, it was.. Amazing. Suddenly, the thing raised their voice.

“Hey little one… I know you’re scared, it’s okay.. But there’s nothing to fear, I-.. We don’t want to hurt you, you’re safe here, nobody’s ever gonna hurt you again, I promise.”

The young one stopped hissing, their pointed ears slowly lowered…They started to feel more.. Comfortable. The one in front of them started to smile and showed them their hands to prove there’s nothing to be scared of.

“Everything is probably really confusing to you, but do not worry, we will explain everything to you soon.” Seeing how the young one was still on guard, they wondered how they could help…

“My name is Cirrus, and, like you, I am a Ghoul. A Ghoulette. Mmh… Oh, I can talk about my summoning ! It was really scary, they left me in a dark place, alone.. I didn’t understand what happened. Nobody was here to reassure me, unlike you.” She was trying in her own way to be nice. The little one was less on guard, their body was less crisped and they let the Ghoulette come besides them.

“Tho, one of the Ghoul came soon after I woke up and helped me. Everyone was nice to me and everything went great. Now look, I’m the one that gets to help you in that hard time.” She smiled, the young one stopped to be scared. Cirrus sat down on the edge of the bed. They were both silent, Cirrus just let the little one take their time to say something and after a moment, they opened their mouth.

“Ah..” They tried to talk, but no words came out of their mouth causing them to blush, they put their sheets close to them again, Cirrus just gently smiled at them, showing that she’ll not judge any of their movements.

“H…H-Hello..?” Successful attempt. They gently smiled at the Ghoulette.

“Hi little one ! I’m glad to meet you.” She said with her soft tone, she was just a softie.

The new one looked at her, she has that one soft aura, you know ? When we see some people, we know immediately they’ll not judge you and they’re just soft. Cirrus is exactly like that. They jumped in Cirrus arms for her great surprise, she just softly pated their back in response.

“Mmh, yes, you’re safe here, do not worry.” They responded with a little purring, Cirrus knew they’ll have a certain connection between them.

After a moment, Cirrus broke the hug to tell them she has to call a man named “Papa”, the little one didn’t understand a lot but still let her go, after a moment, she came back with the mysterious man.

“Oh, sweet little one, I’m glad you’re perfectly awake now.” He noticed how they were on their guard again. He sighed and showed them his hands.

“No need to be scared my dear. I’ve got a lot to explain to you, but first, let me introduce myself. Call me “Papa”, I’m the one who summoned you there, on earth.” He did a little introduction, the little one looked at him intensely, listening to everything he was saying. “Now, what is your sweet name ? And hum.. Ghoul or Ghoulette ?”

The little one didn’t know how to respond, especially their name, what was their name…? He couldn’t remember a single thing, not even his name… They opened their mouth and hesitated a moment before talking. Finally, some sounds came out.

“G-Ghoul…I.. I guess..- ?”

“So him ?” The man asked.

He nodded in response, it sounded right to him. After a moment, he noticed that the man was still waiting for his name. He was trying to think about his name, everything he could do, nothing came.. Well, not really nothing. The only thing that came to mind was the feeling of the cold night. Nothing else. The man and the Ghoulette in front of him were waiting for him to talk. In all shyness, he finally opened his mouth again.

“M-Moon… Moonlight…” He said, in a soft tone.

“Magnifico !” The man clapped his hands together. Moonlight was kinda scared of the reaction, he was certainly not expecting this from him, specifically not the sudden Italian… Papa noticed that. “Oh, sorry little one, didn’t mean to scare you. Now, you get to know everything about all of that…”

Papa talked for a moment about all of this, his life, what he was before, how they ended up a Ghoul… He also talked about why he summoned Moonlight and all of that… Moonlight didn’t really know what to answer to all of this.

“So yeah. Basically you’re a Ghoul, before going to hell you were a human and you were summoned here to participate to the Ghost project ! As a new fellow member ! Bellissimo, right ?” The Ghoul was too stunned to speak. He didn’t even know what to say.

“You’re maybe too tired right ? Don’t worry, that's okay. Em.. Oh well, I’m letting you sleep again. Thank you Cirrus for being there for him.” Papa complimented Cirrus and she slightly blushed, any compliments from Papa was a blessing. He left them alone.

Cirrus gently sat at the edge of the bed and caressed the little one leg. She smiled, as always. The little Ghoul smiled back. It was just a calm moment with both of them, enjoying each other’s presence. Moonlight yawned, it’s sure that these informations were really… Insane ? Now, he didn’t know what to do, or even think about, his moment where he was a human ? Suddenly, a question came to mind. He looked at Cirrus, she knew he wanted to ask something but she didn’t want to rush him, so she just silently looked at him. After a moment, Moonlight started to speak.

“Do.. D-Do you remember… When y-you were in hell…-?” He asked, with his soft little tone.

“Mmh ? Oh..” Cirrus was kind of surprised by the question, she didn’t expect something like this. “Remember.. Yeah, actually I remember a lot of it ! Hell wasn’t a bad thing like most people try to make you think of it. It was just.. All the Ghouls thing that was kind of… Special… Why are you asking me that ?” Cirrus was a bit curious.

“I.. I c-can’t remember a single thing…” He tightened the sheets around him. “Not even an image.. The feeling… Nothing…”

Cirrus looked at him softly, she didn’t know why he couldn’t remember a thing, either a traumatic experience or.. He just went to hell for a short moment. She smiled with a sad expression, Moonlight seemed to be really sad about the fact he can’t remember about it. She stood up and left a soft kiss on his head. The little Ghoul slightly blushed about the gentle action of the Ghoulette

“Do not worry, it’s not that bad to not remember a lot of things about it. Do not think of it a lot. I know you want to sleep, I’ll come back to see you soon.” Cirrus left the room, leaving Moonlight alone. It's true that he was really tired and he wanted to sleep, how could she know that ? He just stopped wondering so much and went to sleep, warping the sheets around his body, it wasn’t burning anymore like when he woke up. But he could still feel that slight feeling of pain. He slept peacefully, wondering what will happen when he wakes up…

Chapter Text

Moonlight woke up with an uncomfortable feeling, he couldn’t tell what it was but something was definitely wrong. When he woke up, nobody was there in his room. He was all alone. He didn’t know what to do. The little Ghoul just stood up, legs trembling and walked, well… Tried to walk. He couldn’t walk without using something to stand up. He didn’t realise how big his room was when he was in bed. He turned his hand from left to right, wondering what could help him to stand up and his gaze stopped at the mirror - no it’ll not help him standing up.

He looked at himself.. So… He looks like that…? It felt weird, like it wasn’t himself. His paper grey skin, his pointed ears, his horns, his tail… Everything was so tiny, it was.. Surprising. He looked intensely at his skin, there were so many scars everywhere, it was scary, from where did they come from ? He gently caressed his skin, especially his scars. The little Ghoul sighed and “walked” again, towards the door. He opened it and hoped to find someone but no. Just a big hall with many doors, he didn’t know where to go, who to ask… Suddenly, the door just in front of him opened, and a big Ghoul just appeared. He was like.. Twice the high of Moonlight…?

“Ah, I knew that I felt a presence coming out of there. Hello little one.” The big Ghoul said, Moonlight was pretty intimidated by it. He could really do anything he wanted with him…

“Mmh ? Oh, call me Mountain. It’s Moonlight, right ?” Moonlight nodded in response, Mountain was reserved and calm. Really calm. It was relaxing.

“...H-Hungry.” The little Ghoul said, not being able to form a correct sentence.

Mountain nodded and just took Moonlight in his arms, carrying him in a bridal style. He noticed how weak his legs were. The little one was just embarrassed by this, being carried by someone that big in that way and also all naked… He couldn’t help but blush from it. How could Mountain just be that indifferent of it ? It is.. Natural there ? The biggest one was carrying him through the hall and went to a big room, with a big kitchen, a place to eat and a place with three big sofas and a TV. Mountain let Moonlight sit down on a chair and started to cook something for him.

“I think something soft and easy to eat is good for you, mmh ?” He asked the little Ghoul, he didn’t know what to respond, he just nodded in return. He was just hungry, he could eat anything. Mountain finished cooking and served him. Moonlight immediately started to eat it.

“O-Oh well.. You seriously were a hungry little one.” Mountain chuckled softly. Moonlight just kept eating. “If you have any questions, I’m here for you. I know everything might be confusing to you.” He sat down, next to the hungry one.

“Humpf… It’s so good… C-Could you teach me how to do that ?” He looked into the eyes of Mountain, he seemed kind of.. Surprised, he didn’t expect that kind of question.

“H-Hum.. Cooking ? Huh… Yeah, sure ! It’s easy, you’ll see.”

Moonlight just kept eating, in silence, while Mountain was looking over him, making sure everything was okay. When he finished eating, Mountain took his plate to wash it, and just after that, he carried him again in a bridal style.

“So, I guess I’m taking you to your room ?” He asked, the little one just responded by nodding. He was pretty shy and intimidated by the big one, it sure is normal since how big he is, he could do anything he wanted with Moonlight’s little body. Mountain took him to his room, putting him in his bed and covered him with his sheets, he made sure he got everything he wanted before leaving.

“..W-Wait..!” A little voice could resonate in the room, the big Ghoul turned around to see the one who called. “I.. I feel cold… And alone…” He immediately understood what the Ghoul wanted, he sighed, it wasn’t how he planned his day but anyway, he would do anything to stay with that little tiny cute thing.

Mountain slightly undressed, just to be a bit more comfy and slid under the sheets, Moonlight snuggled in his big arms and they just kept cuddling together, purring in satisfaction. Moonlight was wondering if all of that intimacy thing was common between all the Ghouls or just some were.. Like that. Anyway, he started to feel more comfortable with being close to the Ghouls, specifically Mountain, he was just a relaxing and comfortable Ghoul. After a short moment, the little one easily fell asleep while the big one just gently caressed his body, making sure he was all comfortable.

After a long day of sleeping and cuddling, Moonlight woke up in Mountain’s arms that was perfectly awake. They both looked right in each other’s eyes, the little felt his cheeks getting red.

“Hello sleepyhead, how are we feeling ?” He asked gently

“G-Good…” He responded, burying his head into the big Ghoul chest.

“I’m glad then” He slowly left a kiss on his head. “I have to go, I feel a little hungry and I know the others want to see me. If you want.. You can go with me.”

“H-Huh…? N-No.. I’m not ready… I.. I’m sorry…” The little one said, with a small voice.

“Don’t be sorry. I understand. Take the time that you need. If you want I can even call Cirrus to stay with you.” Mountain was so gentle, he made sure the little tiny Ghoul was okay and that he felt good and comfortable.

“I.. I don’t want to bother…” After saying that the big Ghoul slowly lifted up his head, making him look into his eyes.

“Don’t ever say that. You’re not bothering anyone. Actually, a lot of the Ghouls want to spend a lot of time with you.” He said, reassuring the little one. He felt less.. Guilty of it. Mountain stood up, letting Moonlight alone under the sheets, he dressed up and, before leaving Moonlight’s bedroom, he left a little kiss on his forehead.

Moonlight felt alone, he wanted someone to be there for him, someone to cuddle him and bring warmth. He closed his eyes, embracing loneliness again. It reminded him of something, he couldn’t tell what but he already felt that, so many times, the desire of having someone next to you to just bring you warmth and love. Maybe… That feeling was from his past life ? He tried to not think a lot about it, even if it was quite impossible. He was lost in his thoughts until someone knocked at his door, he immediately raised up his head towards the door.

“Can I come in ?” It was Papa. The Ghoul accepted and he came into the room. It was pretty dark, only the light of the moon was lighting up the room. “Hello mio caro, I heard from the Ghouls you were awake, so I came to see if you were okay.”

“H-Huh..? Y-Yes.. Thank you…? I.. Just feel lonely…” He responded to the human, looking down, slightly covering himself with the sheets.

“Mmh, I see… Then, let’s have a talk ? How does it sound ?” The man was.. Very special. Moonlight had a hard time understanding his emotions, how he acts and things like that, but even with that he felt safe with him. The little one nodded in agreement. Papa sat down on the edge of Moonlight’s bed, still being careful about him, no one knew what he could do.

“Perfetto ! We can talk about the concerts and the rehearsals, so..” The man started to talk, mostly alone. Moonlight wasn’t really talkative, he just sometimes added some “Mmh..” or “Yes…” to the convo. As they both talked, Moonlight felt really more comfortable with the man, and slowly, without noticing it, they both were closer to the other one.

“W-What instrument will I play…?” He asked, feeling a bit egocentric to say that kind of thing, like if they will keep him in the band.. He just has a very low esteem of himself. He gently put his head on Papa’s thighs, the man was surprised by that move but didn’t complain, it was good if the little Ghoul already felt safe with him.

“I will tell you when the time comes. But for now.. Hum… Just take some rest and try to meet all the other sweet Ghouls. They’ll not eat you. Well, they will, but in another way, you see ahah ?” Moonlight looked at Papa, confused, trying to understand what he meant by that. The man understood that he was way too innocent, such a sweet soul to keep safe from all the perversity of this world… Anyway, Papa and the Ghouls will destroy him, in any way possible.

“Forgot what I said. Anyway, I have to go. See you soon, mio tesoro.” He left a sweet kiss on the little Ghoul’s head, being the softest possible. Moonlight raised his head to let him stand up and Papa left, leaving him alone with his thoughts again.

Moonlight couldn’t sleep, he had too many thoughts running through his head about… Well, everything. His past life, when he was in hell, the other ghouls, Papa, his instrument, the band… He got tired of that and got up, leaving the bed and walking, his legs finally weren’t shaking and he could walk almost normally. The little Ghoul went directly towards a door, he opened it and behind it was… A bathroom. Finally, after a lot of time just sleeping, he doesn’t even know how much time he spent sleeping. He stinks.

The little one went towards the bath, it felt so familiar, but still, so new. He knew what to do but he forgot the feeling. He turned on the tap and the water flowed, making a loud noise inside the bathroom, making himself feel less alone. When the bath was full, he went inside, the hot feeling of the water, embracing him, as if someone was hugging him. All his loneliness went away, making him feel… Finally good. After a long moment, the little Ghoul went outside the bath, took a towel, dried himself and went outside the bathroom. He walked in front of the mirror and stopped.

“Me… My body… It’s.. Mmh.” He said, talking to himself. He put down his towel and examined every single part of his body, looking at each detail, running his hands around, feeling it, finally being in harmony with it. Suddenly, someone knocked at the door and just after that, someone came in, it was Cirrus. Moonlight looked at her, being red as hell, he didn’t expect her to come like that…

“Oh my ! Sorry Moonlight, we didn’t mean to bother you !” The Ghoulette looked around, everywhere else than where the little Ghoul was. Yes, Cirrus already saw him naked but.. That was an intimate moment for him. “I just thought you would still be in bed. I’m so sorry.”

Moonlight looked around, his chest was tight, he didn’t know what to say. He sighed, walked towards Cirrus and took her hands in his. “I.. I like you… Y-You make me.. Feel comfortable… D-Do not be sorry.” The little Ghoul looked up at Cirrus, she looked back at him and both just looked at each other for a moment before the little made her go inside his bed with him.

“I.. I just need someone with me…” He said, gripping Cirrus hands tighter and snuggling close to her. She immediately understood how lonely we can feel after a summoning. Being alone, sleeping most of the time as we want to have someone close to us, the cold feeling, the thoughts… Everything. She gently left a soft kiss on Moonlight’s head. “I’m not leaving you. Do not worry sweetie.”

They got interrupted in their moment of sweet cuddling by the feeling of two presence, just in front of the door, and suddenly, two Ghoulettes came inside the room. One of them being extremely.. Angry ? Excited ? Weird…?

“Cirrus ! Getting to know the newbie without us is mean !” The shortest Ghoulette said, just after coming inside the room. The tallest one came in after her, trying to make the shortie calm down.

“Aw dear, calm down you’ll scare the cutie… He maybe needs some time to adapt, you know.” She said, being the softest possible, the other one didn’t want to hear anything. She just wanted to be with Moonlight (and possibly, Cirrus and Cumulus).

“Stay there, don’t move.” Cirrus murmured in Moonlight’s ear, she was about to stand up when the little one slightly grabbed her wrist to make her stop it. He looked guilty and mad. “I.. I want to be… Independent…” He said, with a low and soft voice. He was tired of people taking care of him, being a bother for everyone. The Ghoulette was kind of surprised by that but she knew she had to let him do what he wanted to do. He standed a bit more upright, still putting his sheets around him.

“I… I don’t want you to argue because of me…” The little Ghoul took a deep breath, the Ghoulette beside him took one of his hands in hers. “I’m.. I’m feeling more… Comfortable with all of this.. You, the Ghoul, Papa… And so.. I… Don’t mind you staying with me… A-And you are friends with Cirrus so… H-Huh.. I’m sorry…” The three Ghoulette looked at him so sweetly.

Cirrus gently rubbed his cheek with her free hand. “Aw sweetie.. Do not be sorry. I’m glad you feel comfortable enough now.” Cumulus went closer to the bed and sat down, rubbing one of Moonlight’s legs “Moonlight.. We would have never argued for that. You’re so cute…” And the last Ghoul jumped on the bed, on Moonlight. “I can finally feel that hot body I’ve been craving…” As Aurora said those words, he could feel his cheeks getting red, a lot. They definitely saw it since Cumulus tried to change the convo… “So.. We haven’t told you our names right ? I’m Cumulus, she’s Aurora. She doesn’t bite, do not worry !”

It felt weird to Moonlight to have so many people craving for his attention and to be with him. They all were so kind to him, making sure he was comfortable.. “Oh ! Have you met anyone else by the way ? I was wondering…” Said the one, with Moonlight’s hands in hers. He put his head on her shoulder and responded.

“O-Only Mountain.. He.. Was kind. H-He made me something to eat…” He said, in a soft tone.

“Oh Mountain ? Mmh.. That’s not surprising we heard nothing from him. He’s such a calm and gentle Ghoul.” Said the one that got her hands, running through Moonlight’s legs.

“A-And I saw Papa.. He.. He said something about the Ghoul eating me.. I didn’t understand…” When he said that, the three of them looked directly into his eyes.

“You’ll soon understand, don't worry ahah ! You’re so cute !” Said the one that got her hands wrapped around Moonlight’s waist.

And they all kept talking, about many different things, that helped Moonlight’s understanding their relation, life and the other Ghouls a lot better. Everything went clearer, they talked about some fun stories that happened, some embarrassing things, their life in hell… Until the moment when the little Ghoul went asleep.

“Ah.. The little cutie went asleep..” Cumulus said, looking at the sleeping one.

“He had a long day, talking with many people was probably hard for him.” Added Cirrus, resting her head against his.

Just after that, Aurora also went asleep on Moonlight’s stomach, Cumulus snuggled on the bed to find a place where she could sleep (she was a half on the sheets, the other half on Moonlight’s legs) and Cirrus looked a moment at her dear friends and just went to sleep too..

And that’s how a sweet and peaceful night started for the fourth of them.

Chapter Text

The warm light of the sun caressed Moonlight’s body, he woke up slowly, feeling at peace. The other Ghoulette were already awake, looking at him and gently cuddling up.

“Hello little sunshine, you slept well ?” Cumulus said, when the little one opened his eyes.

“You were reaaaaally comfortable !” Added the little Ghoulette.

“Are you feeling okay ? Hungry maybe ?” Cirrus said. Moonlight was slightly overwhelmed by all the caring and affection. He didn’t know how to respond to all of them.

“H-Huh.. Yes.. I slept very well… A-and.. I’m feeling a bit hungry right…” The Ghoul said. He could feel the Ghoulette caressing his body and their tails wrapping around his body.

“We will take good care of you cutie… Let’s go eat our breakfast, shall we ?” The biggest Ghoulette said, slowly standing up and letting Moonlight’s legs breathe (they can’t move anymore), the other Ghoulette did the same and started to go towards the door. Moonlight was still under the sheets, extremely embarrassed. Cirrus looked back at him and immediately understood what was going on. She went out and came back a bit after with a short and a large T-shirt.

“Here, for you my cutie.” She said while landing her clothes to him.

“We’ll come back when you’re done changing!” Said the little Ghoulette while taking her friends with her.

He smiled at the act of kindness, it was kind of weird to him to get such acts.. He couldn’t tell why but these feelings were really new to him. He sighed and took a look at the t-shirt, a big logo was on it, “Iron Maiden”…? The hell was that ? He put it on, it was really big.. And it didn’t smell like Cirrus. Was it really her shirt…? Anyway, he didn’t ask too many questions, the Ghoulettes were waiting for him. He put the short and.. He looked good and cute. The little Ghoul looked at himself in the mirror, taking a moment. He wasn’t really used to this body but still, he was starting to like it, especially how tiny and cute he was. Moonlight took a deep breath and went outside, the Ghoulettes were all looking at him, amazed.

“You are so damn cute !” The little one said, jumping in his arms.

“My my… It makes me want to eat you.” Cumulus said, in a teasing tone.

“You’re ready ? We will probably see the other Ghouls.” The last Ghoulette added, giving her hand to him.

“Y-Yes.. Ready.” Moonlight said, confident. He took Cirrus hand in his. He will finally see the other Ghouls.. Four Ghouls to see and apparently, two of them were… Really special. He took a deep breath and all of them went towards the living room.

When they arrived, all the Ghouls were there. All. Of. Them. Moonlight hidden behind Cirrus, while the 3 Ghoulettes were already going towards the Ghouls.

“Goddamn, here you are. We were wondering what the fuck you were doing.” Said one of the Ghoul.

“Want something to eat ?” The biggest Ghoul added. Still in the kitchen, cooking something.

“Oh yeah ! Please please please !!!” The little Ghoulette said while sitting down at the table.

“Always so hungry huh ? And Cirrus you- Wait… Oh.. Hello little one, I see that you got my shirt…”

All eyes were on him. The little Ghoul didn’t know how to act, and to respond to the flirty Ghoul. He looked down and suddenly, a hand lifted up his head, it was him. The Ghoul. How did he come so fast next to him…? Moonlight blushed so hard, the Ghoul was looking right into his eyes, making him blush even more.

“Cute little thing.. You like my shirt, right ? I can give you more than- Ow ow ow ow !” Cirrus was pulling one of his ears, making him stop what he was doing right now.

“Sorry Moonlight. Don’t mind him.. Can you at least introduce yourself before fucking flirting with him ?!” She was really mad at him, well, Moonlight didn’t expect this kind of.. Welcome. But anyway, the flirty Ghoul sighed and finally introduced himself.

“I’m Swiss but you can call me to-”

“No no no. That’s all. Thank you. So hum… Could y’all introduce yourselves please ?” Thank Satan she stopped him before he could say any more words. Swiss was really annoyed, he ran back to the table and sat down. No one knew who should introduce first so it’s the calm and tall Mountain that talked first.

“You already know me but I’m Mountain. Mmh.. Want something to eat ?” He said, pointing at what he was cooking right now. Moonlight nodded in agreement, he was so hungry he could eat anything. After that, one of the Ghoul who was at the table finally spoke up.

“Phantom. Glad to meet you.” He was calm, he seemed to be someone really nice.. Perfect. Then, one of the Ghoul who had their feets on the table talked.

“I’m Sodo.. So you’re the newbie huh ? The fuck you’re so short ?” He groaned, Moonlight was scared of him, he directly knew they wouldn’t be close friends.. He looked too brute. The little Ghoul hid again behind Cirrus, even if it wasn’t really helpful..

“Please.. Do not talk to him like that… U-Um.. I’m Rain. Nice to meet you !” Said the last Ghoul.. He seemed shy too, not as shy as Moonlight but still someone nice and gentle. Moonlight didn’t know how to react but just waved at them. He was more comfortable with only the Ghoulettes or Mountain. Cirrus took Moonlight with her and made him sit between her and Rain, she knew they would get along very well. After a little moment, all the Ghouls were talking together and he felt a bit.. Alone. Until Mountain came to see him with his food. Unholy fuck, it seemed to be so good.

“This time try to not eat everything in two seconds… I don’t want to have to save another dumbass.” The big Ghoul said while looking at Swiss. Making it clear it was about him he talked about.

“Don’t expose myself like that just in front of the new cute one ! He’ll think I’m nothing more but a dumbass !” The Ghoul responded to the provocation.

“It’s maybe because you’re one huh…?” The shortest Ghoulette said, with a smile on her face.

“Shut up ! I am not !”

“Hehe..” Everyone looked towards where the laugh came from, it was the newbie.. It’s the first time they saw him laugh and smile. They all looked at him amazingly, like if it was something that would happen one time per year.. Well actually it’s not wrong. The little Ghoulie stopped and his eyes switched between all the Ghouls… Anxiety started growing up, did he do something wrong ? He didn’t understand. Then, suddenly, some of the other Ghouls started to laugh and smile.

“Hey ! Stop mocking me ahah !” They all started to laugh and have fun together, Moonlight finally felt adopted by this family. Everyone was talking to him even if some Ghouls were still on guard or just shy.

“So, what’s today’s plan ?” One of the Ghoulette asked.

“Nothing. Like.. Really nothing. No rehearsals, Papa doesn’t want us to go out and we can’t help at the ministry…” And one of the Ghoul responded.

“Ugh.. That just makes me want to go back to sleep ! Obviously.. With the lil’ new one…” The most flirty Ghoul said, looking directly at the shortest one.

“W-What…?” The shorty responded, blushing

“Don’t mind him. We will find something to do ! Like watch a movie or play a game ! Oh yeah Swiss ! Let’s go play Mario Kart !” The shortest Ghoulette declared, already going towards the sofa and the TV.

“Don’t worry cutie, we’re gonna teach you.” Cirrus told the little Ghoul, seeing how Moonlight was confused.

Everyone went on the sofas or well, around it. The ones playing were Swiss, Aurora, Sodo and Moonlight. They really wanted him to play with them… Moonlight was sitting at the center of the sofa, Cirrus and Swiss just besides him, Aurora down on the floor, Sodo, Rain and Phantom at the other sofa and Mountain and Cumulus were washing up the dishes, still having a look on the little children playing…(Sodo and Swiss will obligatory fight.)

Cirrus and Swiss explained to him how to play, the basic commands and some tips. For the first time, the Ghoul wasn’t flirting with him, he was def really serious about all of this. Moonlight was a bit anxious about playing, especially with Sodo… He didn’t understand why but Sodo was making him really anxious. Cirrus and Swiss felt that and were reassuring him.

They started to play, everyone was deadly focused on the game, and well.. Moonlight was so good at it. Everyone was surprised by his skills, it was like he played at it his whole afterlife. After 3 races he got first, beating all of them.

“Damn you’re amazing Moonlight !” Cirrus went straight up to hug him.

“Not bad cutie.. Can’t wait to see all your other skills.” Swiss murmured to his ear, making the little Ghoul blush.

Everyone was congratulating him like the thing he did was amazing… Well, it was, but not for Moonlight himself. He just accepted all of the compliments, still being all shy about it. After a moment, they stopped playing Mario Kart to play Uno, Monopoly and many other games. Moonlight could finally understand everyone’s personalities, knowing them better and see all the relationships. As the day passed, he felt more and more accepted by this family. At the end of the day, they all again sat on the sofas, talking about many different things, especially their past dreams and their lives in hell.

“I.. I can feel that my past self wanted to be a musician. It’s one of the only things I can remember.” Phantom said, while fingering Rain’s hair, who was peacefully resting on him.

“To be honest, I only remember my life in hell. Anything else is just so fucking blurry.” Sodo added, he was resting on Phantom. These three were inseparable. “And you, newbie ?”

“H-Huh..?” He raised his head, looking at Sodo. The Ghoul was definitely intimidating him. He hesitated some seconds before opening his mouth. “I.. I don’t remember anything… Like… I only have one image that keeps coming to my mind… A dark forest illuminated by the moonlight. Not even a single image about hell…” Everyone was looking at him, no one was speaking. Moonlight started to be anxious, why no one was talking ? Did he say something wrong ?

“Aww that’s where your name comes from ! Well, you’ve chosen a good one !” Said the little Ghoulette who was resting on both Swiss and Cumulus. She looked so tiny on both of them.

“Y-Yes.. Nothing else could even come to my mind anyway…” He added, Cirrus, just besides him, was gently tracing up and down his back, caressing it carefully. Mountain, him, just wrapped one arm around his waist, holding it tightly.

Moonlight yawned, it sure was a long day for him.. Meeting all the Ghouls and understanding all of them was tiring. The Ghoulette beside him cupped his cheeks and noticed how tired he looked. She sent a look at Mountain who understood the instructions. He grabbed Moonlight and carried him in his arms. The Ghoul didn’t even complain. He accepted his fate. Anyway, he would have probably fallen asleep while talking to the others.

“Good night everyone, we’re gonna take care of that little guy.” She said, everyone replied with a good night, and Mountain and Cirrus went toward Moonlight’s room.

The big Ghoul left Moonlight on his bed. He waited a second before undressing Moonlight, to just have his approval but the Ghoul just made him understand that anything with him was okay. Mountain took down Moonlight’s shirt and shorts, always with that calm and relaxed attitude. Nothing was making him blush or embarrassed. He also slightly undressed himself and Cirrus did the exact same. They both went under the sheets, cuddling with Moonlight between them.
“I’m so glad I’m the one you woke up with…” Cirrus said, kissing the little Ghoul’s head.

“And I’m glad I’m the one who found you hungry.” Mountain added, grabbing Moonlight tight against him.

They both were glad to be already so close to that shy little mess. Moonlight couldn’t help but blush at their declarations. Some days ago, he woke up and met Cirrus, now he’s in his bed, cuddling with her and another Ghoul. What will even happen in some days..? The little Ghoul lifted up his head to look at Cirrus who was looking at him tenderly and he couldn’t help but bring his head closer to hers, closer and closer until their lips were only inches apart.

“Are you sure you want it Moonlight ?” She said. She didn’t exactly know what Moonlight wanted to do. He nodded in response and he kissed her, he didn’t know how to do it, if he should do it or anything else.. But he deadly wanted it. He wanted to kiss her and to stay close to her. They broke the kiss a bit after. Moonlight was just a blushing mess.

“You’re so cute.” She added, bringing Moonlight close to her and hugging him tightly.

Just beside them, Mountain. Waiting. He knew he should wait until Moonlight was ready but he felt a bit.. Left out. Until he felt the little Ghoul in his arms turning around to face him and do the exact same as Cirrus. He kissed him tenderly and just after that, he immediately felt asleep. Both of them didn’t understand how he could do that… Kissing two of them for the first time and going to sleep ? He was sure an original one. Little did they know, Moonlight wasn’t asleep, he was overthinking as fuck. Tomorrow’s morning will be a fun one. (He will die in embarrassment.)

But a little after that, Moonlight fell asleep, followed by Cirrus and Mountain. The little Ghoul was hugged by both sides tightly, giving him a warmth he was craving for since a really long time.

Everything was dark for him, nothing could bring him outside of that darkness. As one of the men opened the door to bring some lights, everything went darker. This man.. This fucking asshole was the one responsible of the young man’s darkness.

“Stop crying you little shit. If all of that is happening to you is because God wants it and you deserve it.” The man said, grabbing the young man by the hair and taking him in front of God himself. Making him kneel down and cry. Another man grabbed his head, making him look directly into his eyes.

“If you’re still alive that day, it’s because God wants you to repent for your sins my child.” The man said, the little one in front of him was crying and begging for mercy, he just wanted to go back home, to find his friends again, to be free and himself…

“Be glad of the body God gave you. All of this is for YOUR own good, so you don’t go to hell.” He added, ignoring the cries of the helpless young man in front of him. He looked at the two persons behind the mess in front of him and made them sign. The man left, leaving the young man with the two persons who could save him from disobeying God.

“A-Ah.. Fucking God ! I’m not praying for that shit !” The young man said before being beaten up by one of the people.

“Ag-gh.. Please.. Let me go… I do not care.. Y-You can’t change my-” The other person slapped his face.

“I… Can’t.. I’m sorry God…” He said before falling down, exhausted from all of this, he swore he saw an angel about to beat him up again. He passed out, closing his eyes and hoping no more darkness in his dream.
