Chapter Text

It didn't matter how many Sporix beasts Void Queen had liberated from the power rangers or how many times she had referred to them as her children, there was still a wound deep down inside her heart that could never be filled. While her Rafkonian self had been fully consumed and corrupted by the power of the Sporix beasts, there was still a piece of her that longed for her daughter. A piece of her that the humans selfishly took away from her because they decided her and her husband needed to be tortured and experimented on for their own personal gain.

She recalls all the times her and Tarrick plead for mercy from the humans. At the very least allowing their child a life outside the walls she and Tarrick were confined to, but no. They didn't care and because of that, her family was destroyed. As far as the humans were concerned, their Rafkonian lives were meaningless. They were nothing.

Sitting on what used to be Void Knights throne, Void Queen sits with her elbow on the arm of the chair and he head resting in her hand as if to be in deep thought as she watches random human activities on the several tv screens in the room. People sitting in a park having a picnic. Others at the beach enjoying sweet treats while their children build sandcastles. The more she saw these humans laughing and living carefree lives, the more angered she became. Why were they allowed to have normal lives and be together, when she was denied those rights? All these sights just made her more and more angry about what the humans had done to her and her family.

"Is everything alright, my queen?" Void King asks, stepping into the room, immediately kneeling down before his wife before standing back up straight.

"No" she replies with a bitter tone, keeping her gaze on the screens.

"What can I do to help?"

The screen switches to the power rangers, as their casual unmorphed selves, out at the local zoo. Ollie and Amelia were taking a selfie in front of the monkey exhibits, while Javi appeared to be taunting his sister, pointing to the monkeys, most likely making a joke about how she escaped her enclosure, while Zayto was reading the information board about the monkeys and surprise surprise, Aiyon was face deep in overpriced sweets from the food stalls. Each of them smiling, laughing, going on with their carefree perfect lives.

"She would have been around their ages..." Void queen says, completely lost in her own world, not replying to her husbands concerned request to help.

"Y-Yes, she would have been" Void King replies in agreement.

"Why is it they get to be happy?" Void queen replies in a more bitter tone, finally taking her attention off the screens and to her husband. "While we lost everything?"

Void King was silent. If he were still Tarrick, he would have tried to defend the humans by stating that they were just scared of what they didn't understand. That the group of humans who had initially captured them did not represent the human race as a whole, that there were good people out there. But as Void King? All humans were the same. Selfish beings who had no problem taking away the lives of others for personal gain.

"I want to complete our family" Void Queen suddenly states, knowing that no one could truly replace the daughter they lost, but thinking that maybe one of the humans could help fill the void.

Void King looks to the screen, watching as the power rangers each continue on their carefree lives through the zoo before turning his attention back to his wife. He brings his arm up to his chest and gives a slight bow.

"I'll see what I can do to make that happen" Void king states like the obedient servant he was, wanting only to make his wife happy at any means necessary.

Chapter Text

"I didn't know you were afraid of snakes!" Izzy teased to her brother as the group were exiting the reptile enclosures.

"I'm not!" Javi scoffs back defensively. "They're just not my favorite of animals!"

"That noise you made, was it not one of fear?" Zayto questions, chiming into the little sibling quarrel.

"You're not helping!" Javi pouts, shooting Zayto a look.

"It's ok buddy!" Ollie adds, slapping Javi on the back with a laugh. "You don't have to like all animals"

Ollie looks at Javi in silence for a moment before removing his hand from Javi's back and stepping away. "Woah, don't look now..."

"What?" Javi questions, as he looks to his shoulder. His eyes widen in horror as he lets out a girlish scream as he sees a rubber snake had been planted on his shoulder. It's limp rubber body just dangling there while it's beady little eyes stared at him. Without any thought, he reaches to his shoulder with his opposite hand and grips the toy tightly before throwing it as far as he could away from himself.

"Not cool man!" Javi angerly exclaims as he watches Ollie high-five his sister, both of them chuckling at their planned prank. It might had been a harmless prank to them but Javi couldn't help but feel like they were just making fun of him for having such a fear, especially when they were power rangers and faced all kind of dangers out there. Angered, he pushes himself past Ollie and Izzy, running off to try and blow off some steam.

"Ollie, that wasn't nice" Amelia adds, crossing her arms and giving Ollie a look that instantly changed his proud demeanor into one of guilt.

Zayto observes the team with a little confusion. He understood that Javi apparently didn't like snakes but the one placed on him was fake, and looked fake to add. Still, he wasn't going to question it. A member of his team was upset and he wasn't going to say or do anything to make it worse.

As Javi pushes himself past, Izzy even stops with the chucking, having not realized that maybe they had taken the prank a little too far. "Javi, I'm sorry!" she says but it was too late, the damage was gone and Javi had disappeared into the crowd.

"Did I miss anything?" A clueless Aiyon asks as he had been a little preoccupied with a funnel cake vendor that happened to be conveniently located at the exit of the reptiles enclosures. He stands there, powered sugar all over his face and a paper plate with a half eaten funnel cake sitting on it in his hands.

While Amelia looks to Ollie and Izzy as if trying to tell them that one of them should be telling Aiyon about their little incident they had with Javi, Zayto immediately breaks the tension.

"Ollie put a rubber snake on Javi's shoulder and now Javi has run off" he blurts out informatively.

Aiyon takes a bit of his cake as he processes what Zayto had just told him. "So...Javi is upset because of a rubber snake?" he questions as he slowly chews his treat. "Wouldn't he be more angry if it were real?"

"Thats what I was thinking!" Zayto adds quickly in agreement with the statement, before taking note of the unimpressed look from Amelia and forcing a cough to correct himself. "I mean, it doesn't matter. Javi's feelings were hurt...."

Ollie frowns as he starts to feel guilt take over. He was only trying to have a little fun. Had he known Javi would react the way he did, he would of certainly reconsidered his actions but the deed was done. "Where would we even begin to look for Javi, this place is huge?"

"Izzy, you know him best" Amelia says calmly, trying to just help keep things together. "What is his favorite animal?"

"That is actually smart" Zayto adds, complimenting Amelia's idea. "What better way to calm oneself down!"

"Uhh..." Izzy starts to think for a moment however, before she could give an answer, with the worst possible timing (as usual) screams could be heard near by. People start to scramble as a familiar monstrous laugher echoes. A souvenir stand is seen being thrown in the distance, as balloons break free from the tethers, escaping into the air above.

"That can't be good!" Aiyon states, dropping his funnel cake, knowing that protecting the people and defeating the sporix beast took priority.

"IT'S MORPHING TIME!" Zayto exclaims loudly.

"LINK TO MORPHING GRID!"

Chapter Text

While people are scrambling away, the Pink, Red, Blue and Green rangers all charge towards the direction until they spot the monster. Wolfgang. A wolf like sporix beast that they had faced off against one before.

"Wolfgang?" Ollie comments with a smirk under his helmet. "This is going to be way to easy!"

"Don't let your guard down, Ollie!" Amelia states, reminding Ollie that this was still a monster.

"Lets finish this fast" Izzy adds, "I still want to see the elephants"

"After we find Javi and apologize" Zayto replies, adding to the usual banter between them.

"Of course!" Izzy states before going in for the charge, her saber raised up as she gets closer to wolfgang. Just as she goes in for a strike, Wolfgang lets out a loud howl, sending multiple sound waves towards the green ranger. The attack hitting her and sending the ranger flying backwards and away. Izzy lands on the ground with a roll while the red ranger leaps past her for his own strike.

"HYPER DINO KEY!" Zayto calls out while leaping though the air. He inserts the key into his saber, instantly upgrading his abilities to increase his slashing powers. As he begins his descent from the air, he slashes is saber down, slicing through the open space and unleashing a large powerful crescent blast towards wolfgang.

As the beam hits sparks ignite around the beast and as he stumbles backwards, Aiyon and Amelia attack from the back with a mighty kick. Their joint force knocking Wolfgang down on his face. Enter the blue ranger, leaping through the air with his saber up high. He lets out a loud yell as be begins slicing through the air, aiming for Wolfgang's exposed back. Unfortunately, with his speed, Wolfgang rolls away to the side and out of sight just as the saber would have made contact. The ground sparks a little as the blade meets the concrete ground.

"Shoot!" Ollie exclaims with annoyance, but before he could move for another attack, Ollie is grabbed from behind. Ambushed by the insane speed of the creature, Ollie is picked up off of his feet and hurled towards the gold and pink rangers who had initially knocked Wolfgang down.

Ollie crashes into Aiyon and Amelia like a bowling ball. His fellow rangers going down to the ground like the pins. The three of them lay there a moment, a little disoriented from the unexpected hit.

"You three ok?!" Izzy asks as she rushes to his friends aid to help them back up.

"We're fine!" Amelia replies, pulling herself back up, taking a fighting stance, preparing to go in for more.

Meanwhile Javi was only just starting to see the wave of people fleeing the zoo. He stops and looks around as people pass him, finally taking notice of the explosions and sparks happening over by the reptile enclosures. He takes in a breath, knowing that as annoyed as he was at the childish behavior of his sister and Ollie, his duty as a ranger took priority. Going into a small sprint, Javi rushes towards the fight. He holds out his hand with his morpher, about to say his usual line when he stops. Noticing a civilian hiding behind a sign, watching the fight.

Not wanting to risk exposing himself as the black ranger or drawing any unwanted attention from the monster, Javi holds off on his transformation, instead choosing to get the civilian out of there while his friends kept the monster occupied.

"H-hey!" Javi calls out, running to the civilians side.

It was an older looking man, wearing a zoo uniform. Though to Javi's surprise, he didn't seem to be scared or actually in hiding. Rather, he was watching the fight.

"I know it's cool and all" Javi says reaching out to the man, placing a hand on his shoulder to try and turn his attention away from the fight. "But its not safe"

The man looks to Javi with surprise, honestly not expecting anyone else to have been in the area. He eyes Javi a moment before looking back to the rangers. "Pink, Blue, Red....Gold....Green" he mutters to himself, as if to be counting the rangers. "BLACK!" he exclaims, realizing why the boy in front of him looked familiar. "You're not morphed!"

Javi blinks a moment with confusion at this mans response. "What?" he questions, trying to figure out what he had just stumbled into.

"Well, this is going to be way easier than I had hoped!"

The man jumps up from his hiding spot with a joyous laugh. A whirlwind begins spinning around him, the human disguise vanishing and revealing the civilian to actually be the shapeshifting machine, Slyther.

"SLYTHER?!" Javi exclaims with surprise, somehow not even seeing this ambush coming.

Instinctively, Javi holds out his arm as he prepares to morph into the black ranger. "Link-"

As he begins to speak, Slyther reaches out, taking a hold of Javi's left wrist in his hand, preventing him from connecting with his morpher. "I'd rather you not~" Slyther says in almost a musical tone in his voice as he then pulls Javi in close to his body, wrapping an arm around him tightly across his chest.

Slyther's instructions from Void King were simple. He wanted a ranger to gift to his queen and because there were no specifications as to which one he wanted captured, it was dealers choice. Originally Slyther was considering Pink but when Javi approached unmorphed, the choice was obvious.

"H-Hey!" Javi exclaims loudly. "Let me go!"

Back at the fight, Izzy had just finished using the spin key to take down Wolfgang when she hears her brother voice. As Wolfgang falls down, he explodes, sparks shooting into the air like fireworks.

"Javi?!" she calls out, turning away from the monster to see where her brother was. Then she sees it, her brother being held and pulled away from Slyther.

"Guys, Javi's in trouble!" Izzy exclaims as she goes into a sprint towards Slyther and Javi. Sure they had their sibling rivalries, but no one messed with her brother.

It was from one battle to the next as the rest of the team follows behind Izzy to take on Slyther.

"Izzy!" Javi calls out, trying to reach out towards his sister with his left arm..

Just as his sisters name leaves his lips, he and Slyther teleport away from the scene.

Izzy's sprint dies down to a stop as she runs through the spot where Slyther and Javi once stood. Her heart pounding away at her chest as she demorphs. Her breathing heavies as she stands there, eyes widened in shock. This was her fault. If she hadn't encouraged Ollie to play that stupid prank, he brother wouldn't have run off the way he did. He would still be here. He would have been morphed and fighting with them.

"JAVI!" she screams loudly with pained tone in her voice before dropping down to her knees, panic and guilt fully consuming her for allowing this to happen. "This is all my fault...."

Chapter Text

Mucus stands before void Queen in the middle of the throne room. Her bubbly self attempting (and failing) to juggle some random pieces of junk that had been laying around the room, like a jester trying to amuse the royal family. She manages to get a small flow going, tossing a wrench into the air, closely followed by a steel ball and a brick, but it didn't take long for her coordination to go off balance, causing the objects to one by one hit her on the head.

"Owww" she cries out as she immediately places her hands on her head while the unimpressed Void Queen watches from her throne with Void King standing obediently by her side.

"Was that suppose to be funny?" She questions with obvious boredom. And while she wasn't really amused by this attempt by Mucus, her motherly instincts kicked in. "Perhaps there are other hobbies out there more suitable for unique sporix like yourself" she adds on softly, not wanting to upset the sensitive one.

Mucus was on the verge of crying as she continued to hold her head. Just hearing that Void Queen didn't like her act hurt her quite a bit emotionally but then there was that moment of motherly love. "Y-Yea!" she exclaims, perking right up with excitement. "You're right! There is so much I have yet to try! Like Balloon animals or Lion taming!"

"How about something useful like destroying the power rangers?" Void King adds in a serious voice, not amused at all by the hijinks of Mucus.

Just as he speaks the words 'power rangers' as if being personally summoned by his king, Slyther appears right beside Mucus in the middle of the room, Javi the black power ranger in tow.

"I said let go!" Javi exclaims as he elbows Slyther in the stomach, not realizing that they had already teleported away as he was focused on getting freed.

Slyther lets go of Javi, giving him a slight push forward towards Void Kind and Void Queen. But not before slipping the morpher off of Javi's wrist. As the morpher comes off, Javi swats at Slyther in attempts of grabbing it back. "Hey! Give that back!" he demands as Slyther simply holds the morpher up in the air out of reach.

"One power ranger, just as you ordered!" Slyther exclaims joyfully, having successfully completed his mission for once.

Void King straightens his back out with surprise that Slyther had actually managed to pull the task off so quickly. If at all.

"What is this?" Void queen questions, also straightening up in the chair with curiosity.

Javi freezes in his steps, turning his attention away from Slyther as reality kicks in. Slowly, he looks around the room. It was unfamiliar, darker and clearly not the zoo.

"Hi!" Mucus says with a happy wave when Javi looks to her with a look of horror on his face. Then he hears the familiar voice talking behind him. He swallows nervously as he completely turns around to see the last thing he would want to see, especially without his morpher, Void King and Void Queen.

"A gift, for my beautiful wife" Void king says staring down Javi. "Though, I was expecting a female..."

"You never specified!" Slyther replies defensively before muttering to himself. FIgures, he would get a job done and Void King would still find a way to criticize it.

Before the two could continue bickering, Void Queen holds up her hand. The two of them immediately going silent as the Queen rises from the throne, clearly intrigued by this 'gift' her husband had gotten for her. She takes a couple steps towards Javi, leaning in to look at the terrified boy in the eyes. Seeing humans endure the pain and suffering she had gone through for all those years brought her a great joy, after all, she wanted to end humanity. It was all they deserved.

As Void queen leans in closer to examine him, Javi takes a nervous step back. His throat was dry and his chest was starting to feel heavy, it was like being back in the reptile enclosure again, only there was no glass to separate him from the venomous snakes. He wanted to say something, but nothing was coming out as his body starts to tremble with fear.

"While I appreciate this...gift..." Void queen starts, taking Javi's chin in her hand as she slightly turns his head to the side as if she were inspecting a new toy. "What am I suppose to do with it?"

"You said you wanted to complete our family" Void Kind replies as he steps beside his wife, placing a hand on her shoulder. "The humans took away our daughter.....I believe the saying is 'an eye for an eye'"

Still holding Javi's chin, Void Queen looks to her husband. That would explain why Void King added the bit about 'wanting a female'. He was looking to give his wife the daughter they had lost, but it didn't matter to Void Queen. Her ideal Rafkonian life would have been her, Tarrick, their daughter and one day perhaps a little brother or sister. Her original dreams were no different than that of a human. Her family living carefree, learning new things together and experiencing the wonders the universe had to offer. She lets out a small laugh as she looks back to Javi, finally letting go of his chin and backing off a little.

"This truly is a wonderous surprise" She says finally understanding what her husband was up to.

Javi also takes a step back when she finally backs away. He swallows nervously as he uses his peripheral vision to try and get an idea of the rooms layout. There really wasn't much to it. There was the throne, a large door with pipes going through the wall into the room. A machine that Javi had immediately figured out was for the Sporix and a hallway. He was terrified but he still had no idea what they were going to do and he wasn't going to go down with out a fight.

"I knew you'd like it" Void king replies, reaching out to grab Javi.

Just as Void King makes a move, Javi pulls away and allowing his flight reflex to kick in as he sprints past Void queen towards the hallway, unfortunately Void king teleports from his spot to the open hallway causing Javi to crash directly into him. As Javi's body meets his, Void knight tightly grabs Javi's wrists.

"Did you really think you could run?" Void King questions as he forces Javi to turn around.

Javi pulls at his wrists but with each attempt at freedom, Void kings grip gets tighter and more uncomfortable, to the point that it feels like his wrists might actually snap in half. "No!" Javi exclaims as he's turned around to face the mysterious locked door at the other side of the room. He tries locking out his knees, refusing to budge but with one forceful push from Void knight, Javi's knees unlocked and he's moved even closer to the door. "You'll never get away with this!"

"Children really are a handful, aren't they" Void queen comments as she walks over to the door, opening it for her husband who currently had his hands full trying to keep Javi restrained. As the three of them enter the room, the door behind them is slammed closed.

"Did you ever find out what is in that room?" Mucus asks curiously, as the two of them were still technically not allowed in that room.

"No" Slyther replies with a shrug, neither of them bothered by the scene that had just unfolded before them.

Chapter Text

Back at Dinohenge, Solon stands in front of the control panel typing away with her claws. While her exterior didn't express much emotion, it was obvious she was just as worried about Javi as everyone else. Frantically, she presses some buttons but like many attempts before, a red x appears on the screen. Solon lets out a small sigh as she continues to try and get a lock on Javi, not wanting to give up.

"Are you sure you're doing it right?!" Izzy questions like a backseat driver as she paces back and forth behind Solon.

Since the incident a few hours ago, Izzy completely found herself unable to sit still or think straight. Everything was going so well. Everyone was having fun. Then she had to go and ruin it and now her brother was missing. Her mind was running a mile a minuet as she had no idea how to cope with what had happened. Then again, who would be prepared to watch their sibling get kidnapped right in front of them?

"Izzy, I'm doing everything I can" Solon replies, keeping her focus on the screen.

"Are you?" Izzy snaps back, stopping in her steps directly behind Solon, looking at the screen. "You sure that computer is working right? You just need to lock onto his communicator or energy source or something...!"

Zayto, Amelia, Aiyon and Ollie had all decided to give Izzy some space by hanging out at the other side of the control room. Each of them just as worried about their missing teammate and concerned about Izzy's current mental state. The group was sitting at a table in their own little huddle, speaking quietly as to not disrupt Solon and her work, and more importantly, not risk upsetting Izzy even more than she already was.

"I've never seen her like this...." Amelia says quietly, leaning on the table but keeping her gaze at Izzy who was too preoccupied with Solon. "We need to do something"

"Like what?" Ollie questions with a frustrated sigh. "Who knows what they want with Javi"

"It's likely they want a bargaining chip" Zayto replies, chiming in with the most logical explanation. "It wouldn't be the first time they tried something like this"

It was true. This wasn't the first time they had taken a hostage. Several months ago, back when Void King was Void Knight, their friend Adrian was taken. The demand was obviously the sporix that they had contained at dinohenge and thankfully the group had come up with a plan to get their friend back as well as not lose any of their collected sporix. If this was a situations like that, then they just had to wait for the villains to reach out to them first, right?

"Yea, why Javi?" Aiyon says in a light joking tone, just trying to break the tension a little. Though, his little chuckle quickly faded as he couldn't hide the fact that he was worried.

Before Zayto could make a comment about the ill-timed joke, he overhears Izzy giving Solon a hard time. He understood Izzy's frustrations but he knew that Solon was doing her best to track Javi.

"Izzy" Zayto half snaps, standing up from his seat. He felt bad snapping his voice at her but he couldn't continue watching her talk down the Solon anymore. "Solon is doing everything she can"

Solon stops typing for a moment when Zayto speaks. She looks down with a small sigh. "I want to find Javi just as much as you do" Solon says with a soothing voice. "Please trust that I am doing everything in my power to locate him."

Izzy closes her eyes a moment as she feels a small panic forming inside. While the voices were not scolding her, it's how her mind perceived it and it couldn't be helped. She had never had an experience like this before in her life and right now, she really didn't know how to react. She takes in a deep breath as she balls her hands into fists at her side. She lets out the breath before taking in another.

"Izzy?" Solon questions with worry as she notices Izzy struggling to control her emotions.

"I think she's having a panic attack!" Amelia exclaims as she jolts up from her seat, pushing herself past Zayto. She immediately wraps her arms around Izzy in an attempts to comfort her. Resting her head on Izzy's shoulder, she can hear that her heart is starting to race as the breathing picks up.

"It's ok" Amelia says calmly, gently rubbing Izzy's shoulder as she held her close. "It's going to be ok"

Izzy never was one to cry or show any kind of sad emotions in front of people but when she felt the comforting warmth from her friend, she couldn't hold it in anymore. She leans into Amelia's embrace as her eyes finally open, allowing tears to form and flow down her cheeks. "What if its not?!" she chokes out, her voice cracking as she can't keep it all in anymore.

"Javi is a strong person" Amelia replies, keeping her voice calm. "and so are you"

Izzy leans into the hug, finally returning it as she wraps her own arms around Amelia. Closing her eyes tightly, she rests her head on Amelia's shoulder. Her breathing starting to regulate as her heart returned to a slower pace. Tears continued to drip down her cheeks but Amelia was right. Javi was a strong person. He had to be with her as a sister.

Amelia gently rubs Izzy's back, like a mother soothing her child. If she could trade places with Javi, she would do so in a heartbeat. Anything to take this guilt and pain away from Izzy.

"We're going to get him back" Amelia states firmly yet soft as she pulls away from the hug.

"We are" Ollie states, approaching the two girl, placing a hand on Izzy's back.

Izzy looks up, her eyes meeting with Ollie who was staring back at her with a serious look.

"And we're going to make them regret messing with this team" he says with a smirk. He even thinks back to then Lord Zed had controlled his mind, referring to him as his 'pet'. Even though Ollie was on zed's side, his friends never gave up. They freed him from the poison and made Lord Zed pay for the trouble he caused.

"You're not alone in this" Aiyon adds, standing from his seat as well, moving to the other side of Izzy. He too places a hand on Izzy's back and as she looks to him, he gives her a light smile. "and you never will be"

Zayto smiles as he sees the team finally coming together. They all knew and understood that while they had lost a member of their team, Izzy did lose her brother. They all understood the weight she was currently feeling but they were not going to let her carry it alone. If one ranger was hurt, they all hurt. It's how the team worked. One for all and all for one as the musketeers said.

Finally, Zayto joins the small huddle around Izzy. He steps beside Amelia, placing a hand on her shoulder as he rests his head against hers in an attempts of comforting her. He takes in a deep breath before lifting his head back up to look at the heartbroken Izzy in the eyes. He was the leader of the group, and as such, it was his job to keep the team together and help them through the hardest of times.

"We are going to do whatever it takes to get Javi back" He says firmly. "Together."

Izzy gives a small nod as she finally lets out a smile, even though her eyes immediately watered back up. "Thank you" She chokes out, before just leaning back into a hug. As she moves, the team around her each lean into the hug. Even Solon join in, knowing that at this moment, they all had to be strong. Not just for Javi, but for Izzy.

Once the hug ends, everyone steps back, giving Izzy some space.

Izzy rubs her eyes with her sleeve as she tries to recompose herself. While the worry was still there, just letting all that out felt like a weight being lifted off her chest. Now she understood why people see therapists. She lets out a breath as she gives a smile to her friends.

"So what now?" she questions with a calmer voice, knowing that they needed a plan. Is Solon really couldn't get a trace on Javi's communicator or energy signals, they needed to come up with something else.

"We wait" Zayto replies, actually silencing the room with shock.

"Zayto, the longer Javi is wi-" Amelia starts to talk but Zayto shakes his head, and she stops.

"I can think of only two reasons they would kidnap Javi" Zayto says, wishing he didn't have to say any of these things but it was what it was. Thankfully, they were both situations they had dealt with before. "They're either planning to trade Javi for our remaining Sporix, or some other item they have their eyes on...."

"Or...?" Aiyon questions.

As Zayto talks, Ollie immediately clues in. He knew exactly where this was going, knowing this was exactly what happened with Lord Zed. "They're planning to turn him against us" Ollie says cutting Zayto off.

"Yeah" Zayto replies as Ollie speaks. "That..."

As hard as it was for Izzy to hear, it was true. She would have preferred neither of those scenarios but it was out of their control. She gives a small nod to the group, indicating to them that she understood what was going on. Zayto was right, they had no choice, all they could do was wait for a call with their demands or wait for the black power ranger to start causing trouble across the city just like Ollie and the poison.

Amelia frowns as she places her hand back on Izzy's back, gently moving her hand in comforting circles. "You going to be ok?"

"Y-yea" she replies with a smile that still screamed that she was worried about her brothers wellbeing. And then there was her parents. When that realization hit, she pinched the bridge of her nose. She already lied to them by keeping her and Javi's identities a secret but this? It wasn't like she could walk into the house and say 'Hey mom, hey dad! Javi got kidnapped by a monster!'. Nope. Now on top of worrying about her brother, she needed to up her acting game and come up with a convincing story.

"I just need to figure out what to tell my parents"

"Are you sure you're ready for this commitment?" Void queen asks as she leans on Void kings shoulder, her arm gently wrapped around his as she gazes to the pod that was originally used to house her when she was injured. While her mask was set to the same emotionless expression, it was obvious she was sadistically grinning. Her eyes lock to Javi, her current prisoner confined to the pod.

"I've waited for many years" Void king replies obediently, unable to disagree with his wife, though if he were still Tarrick, he would be doing everything he could to stop this.

Javi shifts uncomfortably inside his prison, placing his hands on the walls as he tries to control the panic trying to take over. He takes in a deep breath as he shifts around, pulling a hand away from the wall, immediately hitting it as hard as he could against the enclosure in an attempts of finding a weak spot. Of course, all efforts at this point were nothing more than a waste of energy. Letting out a frustrated yell, Javi bangs against the glass window, leaving his fist planted as he stares back at his captors unable to hide the fear he was feeling inside. And the longer he stood in this place, the more and more he felt like the animals he and his friends were observing at the zoo, only he was the caged animal people were gawking at.

"Honey, would you be a dear...." Void queen starts to say softly, letting go of her husbands arm. She lets out a soft chuckle as her husband looks to her as if being able to read her mind.

"It would be my pleasure" he states before she could even finish her sentence. As he speaks, he turns away from his wife, giving a look to Javi. And while the look was very brief, Javi couldn't control the chills being sent down his spine as he removes his fist from the glass, finally dropping both his hands down to his side in slight defeat.

As Void King exits the room, Void Queen steps towards the pod, placing her own hand against the glass as she looks closely. "You should be honored" she says calmly to Javi with a small head tilt. "Of all the disgusting humans on this planet, you've been chosen to serve me" Void queen gently runs her fingers along the glass before moving her hand under her chin. "I promise I'll treat you as if you were my own"

Once more, Javi's hands ball into fists as he punches the window. He lets out a small defeated cry, but while he could hear every word out of Void queens mouth, his noises were silenced on the outside. Suddenly, the pod lights up. The sudden change causing Javi to jump. And as swirls of white, pink, purple and gold energy flow around him, he begins looking around and banging on the walls frantically in a panic. His eyes widen as he starts to breathe heavily. He places both of his forearms on the window as he slumps over slightly as he tries to fight the energy trying to take over his body.

Void king returns into the room, the door slamming behind him as he returns to his Queens side, giving her a slight bow before standing straight to watch the 'show' with his wife.

"When we're finished with this planet, you'll be the last remaining human. Well, kind of" she says, tapping on the glass with a slight taunt before taking a step back to wrap an arm around her husbands waste. She leans her head back on his shoulder as she gazes through the glass window at the panicking Javi. Both of them just watching the scene unfold like proud parents seeing their child for the first time. Both of them knowing that this would never bring back their daughter, but, they could at the very least be a completed family.

Javi's punches against the enclosure become more and more intense as he can feel his body starting to change. His eyes widen with pain and fear as he struggles to fight off the power flowing through him, refusing to lose his humanity so easily. He starts to cough, choking on the thick air around him as he stumbles around the small enclosure. He slams his shoulder into the side of the wall as he lets out scream after scream, his hands holding onto his head as he loses the battle against the sporix energy. Heavy smoke builds around him as his once brown eyes start to fade away.

Chapter Text

It had been over a day since Javi's disappearance and there had been no sporix attacks, no call, nothing. While the plan was to wait for Void queen to make a move, who knew how long it was going to take and honestly, Izzy was unsure her lie about how Javi was out on a camping trip for buzzblast was going to work for very long.

Izzy was at the base, her head resting on the table as she sat down. She had barely gotten any sleep that night as she couldn't stop thinking about her brother. She sits there with her head planted in her arms, while Zayto stands by Solons side, trying to help her configure the computer to try and search for other sources of energy as the central lock on Javi himself was proving unsuccessful.

"Hey" Amelia says, shifting into the seat beside Izzy with a small tray of food that had been prepared by Aiyon in the kitchen. "You should eat something" she continues softly, setting the tray of food on the table in front of Izzy.

Izzy lets out a small groan as she lifts her head up from the table. She looked as tired as she felt but Amelia was right, she should eat.

"Thanks" she replies as she stretches an arm out to grab the strange looking sandwich sitting on the tray. She looks at it a moment and smiles before bravely taking a bite. Had she told her past self that she would be sitting in a secret underground base eating alien food, she would have thought she had gone crazy, but here she was, doing just that.

While Izzy and Amelia were enjoying their meal, Ollie teleports into the base.

"Sorry I'm late, did I miss anything?" He questions as he immediately goes to Solon and Zayto's side to try and help.

"Nothing yet" Solon says with a yawn, having stayed up late herself trying to reconfigure the computer, keeping her promise to not stop her search.

"You should rest" Zayto says with concern, placing a hand on Solons back. "Ollie and I can take it from here"

"Oh no, I'm fine" Solon replies trying to brush off Zayto. "I might be an old dinosaur but I keep going"

"It's ok Solon!" Ollie adds with a cheerful smile. "You've been working hard, take a break"

"Well, if you insis-"

Just as Solon was about to give in to their suggestion to taking a break, a light flashes on the computer. It was an incoming call and not one from the ranger hotline. Ollie, Zayto and Solon all go quiet as they notice the light, noting that this one was the one linked to the power rangers communicators.

Amelia looks over from the table. "What is it?" she asks, feeling the tension increase in the room. Of course, it didn't take long for her to realize what was happening. She gently smacks Izzy's arm with the back of her hand, both of them jolting up from their seats, moving behind Zayto, Ollie and Solon.

At the same time, Aiyon was walking into the room with a larger tray of food that he had just finished preparing for the rest of the team. As he sees everyone gathering around the computer, Aiyon gently places the tray down, running to the group.

"Did I miss anything?" he asks quietly.

As he speaks, Amelia looks to him in silence and shakes her head, placing a finger over her lips. Aiyon silences himself with a slight nod as he waits.

Standing at the computer Zayto looks to Solon, both of them giving a nod to each other as Solon reaches for the button to accept. He takes in a deep breath to compose himself before finally opening the communications.

The screen opens up to Void king. "Hello Rangers" he says in a deep threatening voice.

"WHERE'S MY BROTHER!" Izzy blurts out in anger, trying to push Zayto out of the way.

"Izzy!" Amelia exclaims with surprise at this, reaching out to pull her back. "I know it's not easy but we need to keep calm, let Zayto handle it"

Void king laughs at the outburst from Izzy, taking joy from the anger he could see in the green ranger.

"He's fine, for now" Void King states as his laugh fades into a more serious tone as he turns the camera around. On the screen now was Mucus enthusiastically waving and giggling while she stands beside 'Javi', his hands bound in front of him with a cloth gag tied around his mouth. "Of course, his wellbeing will depend on your actions"

"What do you want?" Zayto replies with anger in his tone, his hands balling into fists with anger.

"Your morphers" Void King simply replies, turning the camera back to himself. "You want your friend back, come to the abandoned saw mill at 5:00 tonight"

Of course he would want their morphers. If they couldn't link to the grid and morph, they couldn't fight him and void queen, the city...no, the planet would be theirs to destroy with ease.

"Fine. We'll be there" Zayto states firmly. "You better not hurt Javi"

The screen turns off as Zayto looks to his team.

"We're not actually..." Aiyon starts to say.

"No" Zayto says with a small head shake. "We'd be defenseless"

"So we risk Javi's life?! I say we just give him what they want" Izzy exclaims, almost ready to hand over her morpher this instant.

"Doing that means the planet loses. It's barely noon" Zayto says trying to keep calm. "We have more than enough time to formulate a plan"

"He's right" Ollie adds. "We're power rangers, we will figure something out"

"We better" Izzy replies with worry in her voice as she looks down to the ground.

"We will" Amelia adds chiming in, trying to keep herself and everyone optimistic. "After today, you, Javi, all of us will be enjoying some of Aiyon's famous flargon cake as we celebrate our win"

Chapter Text

This was a situation that had been seen before, when their friend Adrian was kidnapped and held for ransom. The demand at that time was their sporix and with the help of the double dino key, they were able to not only rescue their friend, but keep their sporix safe by tricking Slyther and Mucus into believing they had the real thing. And just like that day, todays plan was no different. Go in, hand over the duplicates of their morphers and secure their friend. With any luck, things would go down without a hitch.

"Alright" Zayto says taking in a slow breath as he and his team cautiously approach the large barn doors leading to the inside of the saw mill. "Everything just stick to the plan"

Ollie and Aiyon both give a firm nod while Izzy nervously looks around the large open room they had just walked into.

"This better work" She replies as calmly as she possibly could.

"It will" Amelia says, keeping herself optimistic. After all, it worked before.

The inside of the main sawmill was massive. It was a large factory like room, filled with conveyer belts leading into large metal boxes lined with saws. It was dark, dusty and clearly hadn't been used in years. There was scaffolding along the back wall and other random pieces of equipment covered in white tarps. Halfway up the wall, there was a balcony like lining with some offices, that allowed people to overlook the production below. Everything itself was just eerie.

"Where are they?" Izzy questions with impatience. "They said five, right?!"

"They'll be here" Zayto replies, trying to do the best he can to be a good leader.

"Yoohoo~~" A familiar high pitched cheerful voice calls from the left side of the room. "You looking for someone?"

Mucus was playfully sitting on a crate located just along the left wall of the building. She tilts her head slightly to the side as she swings her legs with joy. Sitting on the floor with his back to the crate was 'Javi', hands still bound with the cloth gag in place. His head was down as his body was slumped over. And finally to Javi's right stood the not so playful Void King.

"Javi!" Izzy calls out, preparing to run over, only to be stopped by Zayto who takes a step in front of her as the rest of the team takes a defensive stance, preparing themselves for whatever trap might be heading their way.

"Stick to the plan" Zayto says in a hushed voice before straightening himself out.

Void king looks to Mucus with a nod as he roughly pulls Javi to his feet. Javi lets out a muffled groan as he's forced up to his feet, completely at the mercy of void king.

Simultaneously, Mucus hops down from the crate, pulling out a brown burlap bag from practically no where. She happily skips over to the rangers, holding the bag open like a child trick-or-treating on halloween.

"You know the drill!" she whistles with joy, holding the bag in front of Zayto. "You give us those morphers, we give you your pal back!"

Zayto's eyes lock on void king with an angered glare. Without even breaking eye contact, he removes the morpher from his wrist, hesitantly holding it over the bag. "You better release him" he says with a slight growl in his voice.

"I am a man of my word" Void King replies, holding Javi close.

Finally, Zayto drops his morpher into the bag. As he does, Mucus tilts her head happily as she moves to the next ranger to collect the next morpher. In just a few moments, all morphers are collected, and Mucus happily closes the bag before looking back to her boss. "I got them!" she exclaims as she holds up the bag like a trophy before running back to Void king like a happy child.

"Now release him" Zayto states in a tone of voice that none of the rangers ever heard before, and judging by the anger from it, it was a voice none of them ever wanted to hear again.

Void King looks to Javi and then to the group. "He's of no use to me anymore" he states as he roughly shoves Javi towards the group as he takes the burlap sac from Mucus, opening it up to see the morphers inside before closing it back up.

Javi stumbles forward, nearly falling but thankfully, with Izzy's quick reflexes, she manages to get to her brothers side to catch him before he could hit the ground. As she catches him, Zayto runs over, taking a hold of Javi's arm so that he could untie his friend, only see inside Javi's mind.

He sees a flash of when Slyther arrived back at the base with Javi. When Javi had tried to make a break for it, but was dragged off into the mysterious room. But that was the last flash with Javi in it. Instead, the flash memory moves to Void king walking out of the room, approaching Slyther and Mucus. Void king goes over a plan with Slyther and Mucus to get the morphers, and suddenly, Slyther disappears behind a whirlwind as he shapeshifts into Javi.

"Thats not Javi!" Zayto exclaims as he forces himself between Izzy and the Javi impersonator, roughly shoving the Javi Impersonator away from them.

"What are you doing?!" Izzy replies with confusion and anger that Zayto would act out. She almost looked as though she was ready to fight her team mate for his actions but when Javi starts to chuckle in a completely different voice, she comes to realize that they were duped.

"Looks like you got me!"

A whirlwind swirls around Javi as he morphs back to his true form, Slyther. "It doesn't matter though" Slyther replies in a cocky voice. "We still got your morphers!"

Zayto knew this whole situation was too good to be true. Everything so far had been to easy. But that didn't matter, Void King wasn't the only one with tricks up his sleeve. There was no way he would ever allow his team to surrender their morphers, even if it was for a close friend.

"Jokes on you" Aiyon chims in with a smirk.

"IT'S MORPHING TIME!" Zayto calls out, revealing his real morpher from beneath his jacket. The other rangers following suit, removing their morphers from hidden pockets on their bodies.

"LINK TO MORPHING GRID!" The team all call out in unison, each of them transforming into the power rangers.

As they all change, Void Knight opens up the sac again to look inside, only this time it's filled with rocks. He lets out an angered scowl as he throws the bag on the floor. He was positive this was going to go off without any issues but no, they just had to ruin it.

The now morphed team teach take a fighting pose, all with their sabers out and ready for battle as they face Slyther, Mucus and Void King.

"Going to give you one chance to surrender and tell us where Javi is!" Zayto calls out, even though he knew that Void King would never negotiate.

Chapter Text

Unbeknown to the team, behind them on the second floor watching from above stood Void Queen. She knew her husbands silly plan wouldn't work. The power rangers were too smart to fall for those kind of tricks. She lets out a single laugh before looking to her new child. "Why don't you go play with the other children" she says like a mother trying to encourage her kid to be social.

While their focus was on Void King, Slyther and Mucus, a large purple energy beam is thrown across the room. The strike knocking the power rangers team off their feet, each of them completely unprepared for an attack from behind.

Izzy, Aiyon and Amelia are thrown into some crates across the room, the wood immediately breaking upon impact. Ollie lands on top of one of the conveyer belts, flipping off it on the other side, while Zayto lands on his back on the floor. Each of them letting out a pained groan as they pick themselves up, wondering what had just hit them,

An unfamiliar figure jumps from the second floor balcony, landing on the floor with a loud thud as dust scatters around them. The figure stood tall, it's arms covered in a white armor with black gauntlets. It's chest armored with a white plate that extended out into black tips, similar to that of void kings design. It's legs were also white, with large white boots that had black spikes all around it. It's the bottom half of it face was white with an emotionless expression fixed permanently, while the top half was black with stiff wavy hair like spikes sticking out but going down unlike Void Kings, which went up. In his hand, he held a large black and white sword that almost resembled the power rangers weapon, only this was longer and thicker in it's width. The figure holds the sword tightly in it's hand as it silently looks among the rangers, as if trying to decide which one to take on first.

"Who is that guy?" Amelia questions as is helped up by Izzy.

"Must be a new Sporix beast" Aiyon replies, getting himself up and readying to attack. "Nothing we can't take!"

Void Queen teleports from her spot, down beside her new creation. Immediately, Void King teleports to the other side of the creation, the three of them standing there like some strange psychotic family. "I guess I should introduce you to my Son" Void Queen says softly as the rest of the rangers stand themselves up.

"Son?" Ollie questions back with confusion, looking to his friends. "I didn't know Void queen had a kid..."

Aiyon gives a shrug when Ollies quick glance around the room catches him. This was the first they were hearing of a kid.

"Void Prince" she replies to them, almost insulted by the reaction.

Aiyon couldn't help but snicker at the unoriginality of the name. "Void Prince?" Aiyon states back, almost mocking the name. "I guess creativity doesn't run in the family!"

Void queen's shoots a glare behind her fixed mask at Aiyon. "He looks like a good playmate" she states firmly, placing her hand on Void Princes back, giving a small push towards Aiyon.

Void Prince takes a step forward before teleporting from his sport, appearing right behind Aiyon, slashing his sword through the air. Barely managing to evade the strike, Aiyon leaps forward unto a front summersault, leaping back to his feet and turning his attention back to his attacker, his saber out just in time to block another strike.

Aiyon's saber locks with the sword of his attacker, the sheer strength from his opponent actually causing his feet to slip against the concrete. Finally, with one strong push and swing from his blade, an energy beam throws Aiyon across the room. He lands with a loud crash, as he lands in some metal machinery, his body creating a large indent.

Void queen smiles behind her mask, leaning on her husbands arm like a proud mother.

"Sprint Dino Key!" Ollie calls out, placing the key in his saber. Ollie then starts running around Void Prince, striking him with his saber, each time he passed. One. Two. Thee. Eight hits until Void Prince finally held out his free arm clotheslining the Ranger. Ollie falls onto his back, but before he could get back up, Void Prince stomps his heavy boot down on the Blue rangers chest.

Ollie grasps for breath as Void Prince starts to put all his weight into his step.

"MUSCLE DINO KEY!" Izzy calls out.

"HYPER BOOST DINO KEY!" Amelia yells out as well.

Izzy charges at Void Prince, her arm pulled back with it's armor. She lets out a battle cry as she thrusts her right arm forward with full force, smashing her fist into Void Princes's back. And while Void Prince is knocked off of Ollie, Amelia swings her saber across the open air, creating a large beam of energy that immediately follows the punch.

A could of dust and sparks blurs the area, but as the smoke clears, there is not a body in sight. Amelia was positive it had hit but when Void Prince appears behind her, she realizes that it had in fact missed. Void Prince grabs Amelia by the shoulder, hoisting her over his head before tossing her like it was nothing at Izzy. Amelia crashes into her friend, the two of them landing hard on the ground.

Zayto looks around the room, seeing all his downed friends. Just like Void Queen and Void King, this guy was strong. There was no way any of them were ready to take him on.

"We need to retreat!" Zayto calls out, immediately drawing the attention of Void Prince.

Void Prince begins charging towards Zayto, his saber held high and ready to strike. As he gets closer, Void Prince swings the sword down onto Zayto. Quickly, Zayto holds out his saber to deflect. He could fell the immense power running through Void Prince as he tries to push back with his saber. Being forced to take steps back from Void Princes' strength, Zayto finds himself pinned against a wall with no where to run. With a swift movement, the saber, which was locked in place with the sword, is thrown from Zayto's hand.

Void Prince then pulls back his fist, quickly thrusting it forward towards the now defenseless Zayto. With no other option, Zayto's legs give out, allowing him to slide down the wall and dodge the punch. Void Princes' fist smashes into the wall, leaving a decent sized hole inside. Zayto then rolls to the side, getting back up, but not before Void Prince pulls his fist back, going for another strike.
Zayto reaches out his hand, taking a hold of Void Princes' wrist in an attempts to block.

Upon the touch of Void Prince, he sees flashes once again of Javi trying to make an escape at Void Kings base. This time however, as he's pushed into the room, the picture is complete. He sees Javi being forced into a large cryogenic pod, where he was trapped and rendered helpless. Zayto could feel the pain and terror that was flowing through Javi as the machine was activated. He could feel the helplessness when the sporix energy consumed his body until he was no longer Javi.

Zayto lets go of Void Prince in horror. He starts to breathe heavily as he takes a few steps backwards, looking over to Void King and Queen who were still watching the battle. He then turns his head back to Void Prince, who was currently walking towards him as if he were locked on target.

"Team, teleport back to base, NOW!" He states firmly with a tremble in his voice, holding up his wrist as he twists the dial and presses down on the button.

Zayto didn't have to tell them twice. As far as they all knew, this was a fight they could not win and the best course of action was to regroup.

The power rangers all teleport from the building, leaving Mucus, Slyther, Void King, Void Queen and the newest member, Void Prince.

"Very Impressive my Void Prince" Void queen says like a proud mother, approaching her creation once the Power Rangers flee the scene.

Void Prince gives his 'mother' a slight bow as she compliments his first battle against the Rangers.

"There is no way the rangers will be able to stand in our way now that our family is complete" Void King adds with confidence in his voice, also impressed with the amount of strength and power Void Prince had presented to them in that fight.

"Come now, we have much to do" Void queen replies with a small cackle in her voice. "I can practically taste our victory!"

In just a split second, the sawmill is completely empty as the remaining bodies inside teleport out, returning to area 62 to prepare for their next fight.

Chapter Text

Zayto paces in his room, the door locked as he tries to process what he had seen back at the fight. As the teams leader, he had to be the strong one but getting a glimpse as to what Void King and Void Queen had done to his friend really threw him off guard. He had seen inside many minds before but this was the first time he could really feel the fear and suffering, as if it were him. He couldn't even begin to imagine what Javi went though. What he was still going through. Not only that, what was he going to tell the others. Hell, how was he going to tell Izzy?

Stopping in his steps, Zayto takes a seat down on the edge of his bed, pinching the bridge of his nose as he struggles with how to approach this delicate situation. He closes his eyes tightly as he tries to compose himself, almost traumatized himself for what he had seen. "I don't know what to do..." he mutters to himself as he rubs his face with his hands, keeping his gaze down to the floor as his mind just races a mile a minuet. The easiest thing for him would be to just show everyone what he saw, but, there was no way he could do that to his team. The best option would be to spare them the harsh details and just tell them what he learned.

"Zayto?"

There is a quiet knock on his door, while Solon and Amelia stand on the other side with concern, as neither of them had seen Zayto act like this. Ever.

"Is everything ok? You've been in there for over an hour" Amelia questions from the other side as she gives Solon a look of worry.

Solon shakes her head as she leans on the door slightly.

"You know you can always come to us if you need to" Solon adds, knowing that Zayto was her oldest friend and that he could come to her with anything. It didn't matter what it was, she would always be there for him, just like she knew he would always be there for her.

As Solon speaks, Zayto finally opens his door. Normally the response would be 'everything is fine' to which he would be called out for lying but there was no lying this time. No forced fake smile on his face would hide the fact that something was indeed wrong, and knowing this, he just decides that as their leader, he has to be up front and honest with what he saw. "No. It is not ok" Zayto says as calmly as he could.

"You don't look good..." Solon says with concern as she places a concerned claw on Zayto's shoulder. "Maybe we should get you to the medical bay, let me do an examination?"

When the team had originally left for the fight, he was normal. Confident. Ready to take out Void Queen, but now? Everything was off.

"Trust me, there is nothing physically wrong" Zayto says forcing a smile as he gently places a hand on Solons shoulder in response.

"You saw something, didn't you." Amelia says, realizing that it was the only other explanation for his sudden change in behavior.

Zayto didn't even have to say anything to Amelia as his face said it all. The fact that he was struggling to even get words out confirmed that what he saw was about their friend. But he didn't want to just say it here. He lets out a small breath as he straightens out his back to give himself a stronger posture to try and just be the good leader he was. "Yeah" he replies with a slight nod, but his voice not sounding very excited about having finally gotten somewhere with where their friend was. "Come on, lets get the others"

Zayto takes in a slow deep breath as he tries to gather his thoughts. As he releases, he starts to walk down the hallway. Each step he takes towards the main control room, he does his best to hide what he was feeling inside. After all, he was their leader. He had to be strong, especially at a time like this.

Solon and Amelia follow behind Zayto down the hallway towards the control room, where the others were currently waiting.

By the time Zayto reaches the control room, he had managed to mask most of the distain that was showing on his exterior. He steps into the middle of the room, while Solon steps beside Zayto, Amelia passes him and stands across from him with her arms crossed giving him a look that said 'you can do this' on her face.

"I was worried about you buddy!" Ollie says as he approaches Zayto.

"I am fine" Zayto says, stating the truth that yeah, he was not actually hurt.

"You were hiding for over an hour" Izzy says interrupting, stepping beside Ollie, while Aiyon stays seated at the table. "You don't do that, so please don't say you're fine when clearly you're not"

Zayto swallows nervously as Izzy calls him out for going into hiding. "It's not that I wanted to..." he says trying to defend himself a little. He only locked himself in his room because he needed to figure out how he was going to approach everything. He had delt with so much as a leader but this? This was way beyond anything the team had seen before "I mean, I am fine in the sense that I am not harmed..."

"Then what is going on?" Izzy questions as though it was an interrogation. "Why disappear for an hour when we know my brother is still out there?"

Zayto goes to open his mouth, but nothing comes out as Izzy's tone becomes a little hostile. It was one of the reactions he was afraid he was going to get from Izzy. He closes his mouth again a moment, knowing it wasn't her fault she was acting this way. She was worried about her brother.

"Izzy" Amelia says from her spot, trying to remind her to keep calm. "Let Zayto talk...."

Izzy pauses a moment, stepping in close to Zayto. She looks him in the eyes as if trying to read him. As Izzy gets close, Zayto shifts uncomfortably. He swallows nervously as Izzy's eyes finally widen as she is hit by the realization of what Zayto was hiding. "You know something about my brother!"

"I-I..." Zayto closes his eyes a moment as he takes in a small breath to try and just get it out. As he lets the breath out, he opens his eyes again as he speaks. "Yes, I learned something about Javi".

Izzy wanted to say something to Zayto about how he kept that from them for this long, but she backs down, realizing that Zayto was struggling enough with trying to break this news to the team as is. Biting her lip, Izzy holds out her arm. "Show me!" she states firmly.

Zayto looks at Izzy, shaking his head in disagreement. "I don't think...-"

"He's my brother" she says, cutting Zayto off, not taking no for an answer. "I want to see"

Zayto was hesitant. It wasn't that he didn't think she had a right to see what he saw, but rather, he didn't want to upset Izzy. She had been through so much already. He looks around the room with uncertainty as to if he should do it or not. He sees Ollie, Aiyon, Solon and finally Amelia, all of whom just give him a silent nod in agreement with Izzy. Giving a nod back, he looks back to Izzy, closing his eyes as his antenna come out. He places his hand on Izzy's arm as he thinks about what he had seen when he made contact with Void Prince.

Izzy closes her eyes as the images of her brother flash through her mind. The capture, the attempt to run, his narrow prison filled with Sporix energy and finally the transformation. With the final flash of Void Prince, Izzy lets out a small scream as she throws herself away from Zayto, her heart racing as her eyes are widened with a panic.

"Izzy!" Aiyon exclains as he steps behind Izzy to catch her.

Ollie also steps in to Izzy's aid, catching her from the other side. "Hey, hey, it's ok" he says calmly, as he notices her breathing pick up in a panic.

Zayto's antenna disappear as he lowers his hand back to his side, looking away with his eyes closed. He hated seeing his team mates, no, his friends in pain. "I'm so sorry" Zayto says in a quieter voice.

Izzy takes in a couple controlled breaths as she gently pushes Ollie and Aiyon away, telling them she was fine. She shakes her head as she approaches Zayto, immediately wrapping her arms around him, tightly pulling him into a hug. She finally understood why Zayto had to hide away for a bit. He wasn't trying to keep Javi's secret from them or waste time but rather, figure out what to do next. "No, I'm sorry" she replies as her eyes start to water. "I shouldn't have...."

"I should have told you sooner" Zayto replies, refusing to let Izzy apologize for having normal human emotions.

"Told her what?" Ollie questions, watching the two of them have their moment.

Izzy pulls back from the hug, wiping her eyes with her sleeve. "Javi..." she chokes out, turning back towards the others in the room. As she speaks, Zayto places a hand on her shoulder. If anyone should tell the team, he realized now that it should be her. It was this moment he realized that just because he was designated the leader because of his red suit, this wasn't his battle to lead.

Izzy takes a second to compose herself. "Javi is Void Prince" she states firmly, her hands balling into fists.

"You're serious?" Amelia chokes out in disbelif. "They really-..."

"Void Queen and Void King used some machine to fuse Javi's body with Sporix energy" Zayto replies, feeling a little better that everything was now out in the open.

"We can't fight that!" Aiyon states, knowing that there was no way they could risk harming their friend.

"No, we can't" Zayon replies in agreement. There was no telling what would happen if they successfully defeated Void Prince. Would the sporix energy disappear and turn Javi back to normal? Or would Javi die along with the sporix beast. Not knowing the outcome of the fight meant they couldn't take the risk.

"But we can unfuse that Energy, right? Turn Javi back to normal?" Ollie adds, taking it to a more scientific approach.

"I don't see why that wouldn't be possible" Solon replies in thought. "You'd have to capture him and bring him back to base"

"Then we have our mission" Zayto states in a more confident tone, knowing that there was no room for doubt in this.

"Let's go get my brother" Izzy states firmly.

Chapter Text

"We might not have walked away with the morphers, but I think yesterdays excursion was a success" Void queen says from her throne in a surprisingly good mood, despite Void King's failed plan to get the Morphers from the Rangers. "Wouldn't you agree?"

Void King and Void Prince stand before their queens thrown. Both of them bowing slighting as a sign of respect and obedience.

"Of course" Void King replies with slight surprise, having expected her to ridicule him for his failed plan. Then again, it helped that she didn't know that this would be the second time the double dino key had tricked him. And he planned to keep that to him.

Silently, Void Prince gives a nod in agreement.

"Is it me or is it weird Void Prince is a mute?" Mucus casually questions entering the room with a skip, having heard most of the families conversation. She casually approaches Void Prince, leaning in curiously from the side before poking the cheek of his mask. "Didn't that Javi guy talk alot?"

As she pokes him, Void Prince turns his head to Mucus. Despite the fixed expression, she could feel the glare being shot at her from behind the mask. Taking a small half step back, she holds her hands up a little with a chuckle.

Void Queen watches Mucus as she skips around the room so carefree. And when she brings up the fact that Void Prince was silent, she places a hand under her chin in deep thought. The mushroom sporix wasn't wrong. Javi was known for his love of music, always singing and making noise. Not to mention he was rather vocal before his transformation. It really was odd. She didn't mind having such a quiet and obedient son but it also made her wonder if he was broken. Had this been a normal family, this would be there the mother questioned if she had done something wrong.

"She has a point" Void King adds in agreement with Mucus as he looks to his 'son'.

"Hmmm" Void Queen replies in thought as she stares at Void Prince. She stands from her seat, approaching her son. Standing before him, she takes her hand and gently places it under his chin, turning his glance away from Mucus and towards her. "Is something wrong?" She asks with concern as she closes her eyes, channeling her inner Rafkoian abilities. She takes a small breath in as she clears her mind and allows herself to look inside Void Princes.

Inside she sees nothing but a white light. It wasn't what she had expected but it was intriguing to her. As she looks around, she sees a small tornado of Sporix energy, as if it were attacking something. Curiously, she walks towards the phenomena. Upon closer inspection, she sees Javi in his human form in the center of the tornado. He swats his arms at the energy around him, as if trying to fight back. The fact that there was still a part of him trying to hang on was rather impressive. By her calculations from the machine, all of Javi's humanity should have been locked away, yet here was a piece of him preventing her son from reaching his full potential. Luckily, she knew how to fix it

Opening her eyes, she slides her hand from Void Princes' chin to his back as she pulls him into a hug. "I should have realized sooner" she says like a mother feeling guilty for not realizing her child was in need of something. She pulls back from the hug and looks at Void Prince. "Don't worry, I can fix you"

Void Queen steps away from Void Prince, walking towards the large door with the sporix machine outside it. Since she had last used it, the levels were lower than she would have liked, but there was more than enough to wipe out the last remaining bit of Javi trying to fight back against the beasts within him. Plus there was still Sporix beasts out there, not to mention the ones the power rangers had in their storage. It wouldn't take much to get them back. As she opens the door, Void Prince follows behind.

"Honey, would you get the switch?" She politely calls out as she enters the room, opening the pod door for Void Prince.

Without question, Void Prince enters into the pod, turning around to face the open window as the door closes behind him. Within seconds the pod begins lighting up as swirls of Sporix enregy fills the inside.

Inside Of Void Prince's mind, the whirlwind around Javi intensifies. Javi begins to choke as the winds speed takes his breath away. "no..." he cries out as he falls to his hands in knees as the whirlwind begins to feel heavy. His body collapses flat against the ground as the weight of the energy overpowers him. A dark shadow forms below him as he's continuously pressed deeper into the ground. His body begins to sink into the blackness. He reaches out in desperation as he tries to escape but it's too late. As his finger tips reach out, the black nothingness consumes him leaving nothing more than just the sporix beasts.

On the outside, Void Queen watches as Void Prince's body tenses as it absorbs more of the energy. The inside of the pod starts to fill with smoke, before finally, it shuts down. Void Queen immediately opens the door, reaching in to make sure her child wasn't hurt. As she touches his shoulder, Void Prince reaches up and places his hand on top of hers.

"Everything is fine, mother" he replies, finally speaking his first words, his voice having only hints of Javi's old vocals.

Void Queen smiles behind her mask as she hears her sons first words. It made her so proud hearing Void Prince speak for the first time. Not only that, but now that Javi was completely out of the picture, what other abilities was he being denied? Void Prince had already shown great strength and agility at his first battle, but now that he was no longer wasting energy focusing on repressing his inner humanity, there was no doubt he would destroy the power rangers with great ease.

"My Queen" Void King interrupts her moment, coming into the room with a bow. "We just received word that the Rangers may have located a new Zord"

"I wouldn't mind a new toy" Void Prince replies in dark sadistic tone.

Chapter Text

With Javi no longer trying to fight back, Void Prince heads out on a new mission to beat the Power Rangers to the newly discovered Zord.

Accompanied by Void King, Void Prince teleports to the mountainside just on the outskirts of the forest where Dinohedge resides. The pair were prepared to engage in an immediate battle with the power rangers but were surprised to find that no one was actually around. The rocky paths ahead of them were empty. Not a sign of the power rangers anywhere.

"Are you sure this is the right location?" Void prince scows as he glares at Void King, who had initially been the one to bring the zord to their attention.

"I know what I heard" Void King replies, almost insulted that he would be questioned in such a way by his own son. "It's around here somewhere!"

While his face was fixed, Void Prince rolls his eyes like an entitled teenager. He lets out a small huffed breath of annoyance as he begins to walk along the rocky pathway leading up the mountain. "It better be"

"What, like you have something better to be doing?!" Void King responds in a dad tone.

"I'm just saying, the power rangers better not find that zord first!" Void prince scowls back.

"I liked it better when you were silent" Void king mutters back. Then again, his son was right, they had to find the zord before the power rangers did. If they returned to Void Queen empty handed, she would not be pleased with either of them and because Void Prince was her precious child, he knew that he would get the blunt of the anger.

While the two of them continued on the path up the mountain, the power rangers stood higher up on a cliffside looking down on them.

Zayto leans over the cliffside with the vision dino key in place as he watches the two. He takes note that Void Prince is walking in front with Void King a few feet behind, and while he can't really tell that they're talking about due to the fact that they didn't exactly have lips for him to read, he could tell that they seemed to be having some sort of squabble. And he wasn't really surprised by that. The beasts they usually fought were always short tempered and quick to bickering.

"You ready Izzy and Aiyon?" Zayto asks as he holds his wrist up to his mouth, speaking into his communicator.

Izzy stands beside a large boulder with the smash dino key in place as she sees the paid walking down below. She cracks her neck as she playfully punches a fist into her other hand.

"Yeah, Ollie? Amelia?" Aiyon asks as he stands beside the battle ready Izzy, holding his key in place.

"Just say the word!" Amelia replies, standing by with two dino keys in her hand, ready to use back to back.

"We got this!" Ollie adds with a cocky grin behind his helmet.

"Alright! Izzy, Aiyon!" Zayto calls out as he stands up from looking over the cliff's edge. "You're up!"

With a smirk on her face, Izzy pulls her armored arm back and immediately throws a strong punch. The boulder rolls like a marble off the side of the cliff as her fist meets the hard surface. And just as the bolder begins it's descent, Aiyon holds out his saber.
"GROW DINO KEY!" he exclaims as he places the key inside the saber. A light emits from the saber, which he aims at the boulder, making it grow several times larger. The intent not to crush their friend below.

"Ollie, Amelia, go!" Zayto then exclaims as he watches below.

Down below, Void king and Void Prince hear the noise from the falling rocks above. "It's an ambush!" Void prince calls out as the boulder gets closer.

"Sprint Dino Key!" Ollie yells out as he places his key into his saber. Instantly, he goes into a run, zooming down the mountain towards Void Prince. While Void Prince was distracted by the boulder just moments from hitting him, Ollie scoops Void Prince into his arms, pulling him out of harms way just as the boulder smashes into the ground.

The boulder smashes into several pieces as dust and dirk are kicked up form the ground. Void King, just a few steps away from being crushed holds his arms over his face to protect himself from the debris. He coughs as the dust cloud around him starts to clear.

"Void Prince?!" He exclaims with concern as he lets out one final cough before stepping on the debris. "Where are you?!"

As the dust clears, he begins digging at the pile of broken rock, throwing the pieces aside as he attempts to unbury his son.

While Void King is distracted down below, Ollie returns up the mountain by Amelia's side. As he stops running, he immediately lets go of the confused Void Prince.

"What the?!" He questions, knowing that just a second ago he was down below about to be crushed by a giant boulder.

"Bed time Javi" Amelia says softly as she holds out her saber. "Snooze Dino Key!"

A mist emits from the saber in Void Princes' direction.

"What is this?!" He exclaims as he accidently inhales the mist. His body starts to feel heavy as the mist starts to take an immediate effect on his body. "N-..no!"

In one final struggle to fight it off, he throws a punch towards Ollie, but because of his sluggish movements, Ollie dodges without any trouble. And with that fist out, Void Prince falls, flat on his stomach completely passed out.

"we got him" Amelia then says with a sigh of relief into her communicator.

"Alright, lets get him back to base" Zayto replies through the com. Unfortunately as he begins to speak, Void King appears behind Amelia.

Turns out that during his final struggle against Ollie, Ollie had accidentally kicked some rocks off the side of the cliff. The rocks had hit the concerned Void King, drawing his attention away from the pile below him and up above, where he managed to get a glimpse of Void Prince struggling against the blue ranger. In a rage, he teleported himself from his spot, up to where his son was.

"You're taking him no where!" Void king states in a firm scowl as he picks amelia up and tosses her to towards the cliffs edge. Amelia thankfully lands in a slight roll, catching the edge of the cliff before actually falling off. As she pulls herself back up, Ollie readies his saber, holding out a key. "Invisi Dino Key!" he calls out, before suddenly disappearing.

"Running away?" Void King taunts as the ranger completely disappears.

Before he could get to his sleeping son though, he is tossed to the side as an invisible punch catches him off guard. Frustrated, Void King swats at the empty space where the hit came from, only to find nothing.

"Get Javi out of here!" Ollie's voice says from behind Void King as he's thrusted forward from a kick to his back. "I'll keep this guy busy"

"Right, be careful" Amelia replies as she sprints next to the downed body of Javi, placing a hand on him. "Heading back to base!" she states into her communicator before turning the dial.

"I'll be right behind you" the invisible Ollie replies, almost enjoying this fight a little too much.

"Get away from my son!" Void King exclaims as he turns his attention back to Amelia, except this time he falls on his face, as Ollie had extended a leg out to trip the enemy.

Amelia finally presses the button on her communicator, teleporting her and Javi away from the scene.

Chapter Text

Running a little bit behind, as he was having a little too much fun messing with Void King, Ollie finally teleports himself back to the base. Amelia, Zayto and Aiyon are standing outside the medical bay, while a distressed Izzy paces inside the room as she watches Solon do her thing.

"Sorry I'm late" he says with a slight smirk on his face as his blue ranger suit disappears, returning him to his civilian clothes. "Any updates?"

"Nothing yet" Amelia says with a worried tone, shaking her head before letting out a sigh.

"I could probably use your help" Solon calls out from the open door, knowing that of the team, Ollie was the most qualified when it came to science and medicine.

"Yeah, sure" Ollie replies as he walks past the three members of his team and into the room.

Void Prince, was laying on the bed with a couple wires suctioned to his head. A monitor beside him was tracking his brainwaves, which were currently dark red lines that were spiking rapidly across the screen, indicating that despite his body was out like a light, his brain was still incredibly active. And because it was hard to gage how long he would be out, Solon had unfortunately taken the extra precaution by strapping Void Princes' arms and legs down to the table. It was a scene that was incredibly difficult for Izzy to watch but she refused to leave the room, insisting that if her brother could endure this much pain and suffering, she can do the same. She wasn't going to leave his side, wanting to be there the moment he was back to normal.

Ollie takes in a slow breath as he tries to keep his own cool, knowing that this scene was also bothering him. Javi and Izzy were his friends, and seeing them both like this wasn't easy either, for any of the team. Taking a moment to just clear his mind, Ollie approaches Solon, who was currently holding a clipboard with some papers on it.

"What can I do?" he asks as he leans over her shoulder.

"Here, can you take a look at these readings I got?" she requests, holding out the clip board. "Something just isn't adding up.."

Ollie gives a firm nod as he takes the board. He flips through the papers, carefully analyzing the words on the paper. From what he could tell, all the activity within Void Prince's head was from Sporix energy, which didn't make sense. When Zayto got into his head, he could see Javi's thoughts and memories. But now, according to the data collected from Solon, it was as if Javi no longer existed inside this beast. Even the tests to the bodies structure were showing very low traces of human dna, as if the sporix was completely consuming Javi's body, a result that if not treated quickly could mean he was going to be like this permanently.

Biting his lip, Ollie lowers the pad to look over his friend who was sleeping peacefully.

"Solon, do the test again, just to make sure this isn't some....mistake" Ollie says as calmly as possible, as to not alarm Izzy.

Unfortunately, the fact that Ollie wanted her to double check some test results was cause for concern. Hell, there was nothing that wouldn't concern her.

"What is going on?" Izzy asks in a slightly demanding tone. "Ollie, what is happening to my brother?"

Ollie pauses as he is questioned about what he was reading. He looks to Solon with uncertainty with what to say. Izzy had a right to know but this wasn't going to be an easy thing to say.

"Izzy..." Solon starts to say calmly. Before Ollie takes over, not wanting Izzy to lash out at Solon again, knowing that Izzy's emotions have been a little unstable the past few days.

"The sporix energy inside Javi's body has almost completely destroyed whatever humanity was left inside him" Ollie states in a neutral voice.

"What are you saying?" Izzy chokes out, having an idea of what he is saying but praying he says something different. "It's reversible right? You can make him Javi again?"

"I don't know how much time we have left" Ollie replies with a frown.

"We only have a short window left before he's gone" Solon adds, looking down with having to break such horrible news to Izzy.

"Short window? How much time?" Izzy continues to question, her eyes starting to go blurry with tears.

"It's hard to say, but we are going to do everything in our power to get him back to normal" Solon says firmly, trying to be optimistic. "I will not stop until Javi is back and playing his guitar again"

"I-I know" Izzy says as she can't help the rush of emotions, tears finally streaming down her face. "I know you and Ollie will do your best"

It was actually a nice change, Izzy not lashing out with statement about how they aren't doing enough to help him, but rather changing the attitude to knowing that Javi was in the best care he could be in. Izzy places her hand atop of Javi's hand as she crouches down to his level, finally placing her head on his arm.

"I'm so sorry" she says as she squeezes her brothers hand. Part of her hoping that maybe she could help bring him out of this, like in the tv shows when a person in a coma comes too after a family member spends time talking to them from their bedside. "I wish I could just go inside and kick those Sporix beasts butts...."

As Izzy mutters about fighting the sporix beasts inside Javi, Ollie perks up. He actually manages to get a smirk back on his face as he looks out the open door to his team mates.

"Zayto! Aiyon!" Ollie calls out. "I have an idea!"

"Oh?" Zayto questions as he and Aiyon are summoned into the med bay.

"What's up?" Aiyon questions, wondering what he could even do to help. This wasn't exactly his forte.

"Think you could have a look inside Javi's mind?" Ollie questions with confidence, praying that this might actually help bring Javi back.

Chapter Text

With their connection to Javi set, Aiyon and Zayto close their eyes, allowing their antenna to come out as they concentrate on seeing inside Javi's mind in a way they had not attempted before.

Everything inside Javi's mind was white, almost empty. It's only defining feature were several black vine like things lining the walls, ceiling and floors around them. Every few seconds, a light shoots through it like water being sucked through a straw.

"You ever see anything like this?" Aiyon questions as he walks through the white void that was currently inhabiting Javi's mind. His words echoing back.

Zayto shakes his head. "Nothing" he replies, feeling incredibly uneasy with what he was seeing. Most minds were filled with memories, stories, anything but never emptiness. Was this really what the inside of a sporix beasts mind looked like? No, it couldn't be. The Sporix beasts were not the creation of Void Queen, but rather the Rafkonian's, and they were created as sentient beings, capable of their own thoughts. This had to be the mind of a creature with no free will. A chill runs up Zayto's spine as the two of them continue to walk through the emptiness. "I don't like this"

Aiyon shakes his head in agreement. "You don't think...."

"No, don't even say that" Zayto immediately states, cutting his friend off, knowing that he was insinuating that they were already too late and that they had lost Javi for good. "He's still here, I know it, we just need to follow these energy streams, they have to lead to something..." he adds, gesturing to the vines as a circle of light speeds past them.

As the two of them silently walk, keeping a steady watch, a large black figure is seen up ahead. Zayto and Aiyon look at eachother, giving a firm nod before turning their attention back to what was ahead and going into a sprint. As they get closer, the figure becomes more clear.

Hanging on the wall, strung by up all the black vines that were clumped together like a big glob of gum was Javi. His head hanging down against his chest while he was unconscious. Another burst of light shoots through the vine towards him on one side, before traveling out on the other side of him, as if he was the center of the brain keeping the rest of the body alive and functioning. Javi's body was the host for the sporix beast so if Javi were to die, chance are, so would the beast. But as long as Javi was kept under control in the state he was in now, the sporix beast would thrive.

Aiyon looks to Zayto with horror on his face. "What do we do?" he questions, looking for his leader to make the call.

"We get him down" Zayto states firmly, not even hesitating as he pushes forward, climbing over the vines to get closer to Javi. Stepping on one of the larger clumps, Zayto reaches out to a vine that was wrapped around Javi's arm, trying to pry it off.

Aiyon was a little more hesitant but Zayto was right, they had to free their friend. Following Zayto's lead, Aiyon too climbs over the pile of black vines, getting beside his friend and firmly taking a hold of some of the vines restraining Javi across the chest.

The two of them begin pulling as hard as they could. "This would be easier if we had our sabers" Aiyon states as he digs his nails into the vine as he pulls harder.

"Agreed..." Zayto replies as a vine finally snaps, falling to the floor like a piece of string.

"Next time we figure out how to use our morphers when going into peoples minds" Aiyon says with a small smirk, as the vine around Javi's chest snaps.

"Wouldn't that be something"

Bit by bit, the vines start snapping and Javi's body slowly starts to slump forward more and more. Thankfully, both Aiyon and Zayto were there to catch him as the weight of his body causes him to completely fall forward off the wall as fewer vines were there to support him.

"careful!" Zayto says calmly as he slowly lowers Javi down with the help of Aiyon, not wanting to hurt his friend who already was in pretty rough shape. "Lay him down..."

As Aiyon carefully places Javi's lower half on the ground, Zayto slowly lowers Javi's head down against the floor. Both of them taking a seat to closely watch over their friend, not knowing what was going to happen next, but at least he was no longer hanging from the wall.

"What now?" Aiyon asks as he takes a seat beside Javi with worry as he overlooks his unconscious body.

"I wish I knew" Zayto replies, also taking a seat beside his friend. He wasn't even sure if there anything else they could do. Technically everything here, was inside of Javi's mind and their powers were limited as their physical forms were still standing in the med bay holding onto Void Princes' arm while they put all their focus and energy into what they were doing now.

"Javi, come on" a female voice suddenly says, echoing through his mind. "We need you. I need you!"

As the voice is heard, Javi's body starts to twitch a little as if it were responding to his sisters call. Aiyon was the first to notice, perking up and gently smacking Zayto's arm to the small movements.

Zayto turns his attention to the small movement coming from Javi. "Thats it" he says with sudden hope. "Javi, you need to fight this" Zayto says, placing a hand on Javi's shoulder.

"I can't keep lying to mom and dad about where you've been!" Izzy's voice says with pain in his voice. "but I can't tell them the truth either. Just please come back"

Javi lets out a small pained groan as he slowly opens his eyes.

"I-Iz-zy?" he questions with pain in his voice. "What is going on?"

"You're ok, you're safe..." Aiyon says as Javi starts to try and sit up.

Zayto gently places his hand on Javi's back for support as Javi pulls himself up, immediately slumping himself forward, placing his hand on his head. Everything just felt like it was spinning, like he had just woken up from a nightmare.

"Just take it easy" Zayto says calmly as he rubs Javi's back. "Right now, we need you to rest, ok?"

"Where is Izzy?" Javi questions in a slight daze as he couldn't quite figure out what was happening.

"She is with you" Zayto replies. "In the medical bay"

"Yeah, she hasn't left your side" Aiyon adds with a smile, glad that their mission turned out to be successful. "Shes a good sister"

"Aiyon and I need to go now, you take as much time as you need to rest. We'll all be waiting for you on the other side" Zayto says, referring to the real world outside of Javi's mind. Both of them hoping that it wouldn't be long before Javi himself wakes up and with the help of Ollie and Solon, return to a somewhat normal life.

"The sporix activity is disppearing" Solon says as she monitors the machines monitoring Javi's current brain waves with Ollie.

While they over look the machines, Aiyon and Zayto snap back to reality, both letting go of Javi's arm to break their connection with him. "He should be himself now" Zayto says calmly with a small breath, not wanting to go into detail as to what the inside of Javi's mind looked like.

"That's one thing taken care of" Solon replies as she moves away with her brain wave machine, to do a body scan once again with a small hand held device to try and get more data on how she could help get Javi back to his human form.

"You can still turn him back, right?" Izzy questions, still sitting in her seat beside her brother, her hand still holding Javi's hand tightly.

"We're not going to stop till we've reversed this" Ollie states, knowing that neither of them would give up on Javi. Even if Javi had reached the point of no return in this fusion with the Sporix beasts, they would still put all their efforts into helping their friend.

"That's not an answer" Izzy replies, looking to Ollie with a more serious look. "You can say that over and over but I want the truth, can you turn him back?"

Ollie hesitates as he bites his lip. He didn't want to give his friend false hope but he didn't want to hurt her. He glances down to the clipboard in his hand to look over their current readings and back up to Javi in his current Sporix beast form. If the information was correct, most of the cells had already been taken over and mutated. "Well..."

As Ollie goes to speak, Javi starts to shift a little as he lets out a small groan. Slowly, Javi's eyes open, allowing bright lights in. He tilts his head to the side as he tries to avoid the light. "Where am I?" He says with small groan as he goes to move his arms, only to find them currently restrained. The moment he feels his body restrained, panic starts to kick in. Javi's breathing begins to become heavy while his heart started to race. "L-Let me go!" he exclaims as he pulls at the restraints, completely unaware of his surroundings.

Izzy jolts up with surprise. "Javi!" she exclaims, placing her hands on his shoulders to try and calm him down. "It's ok! Everything is fine!"

Zayto joins Izzy in trying to calm Javi down, knowing that this whole situation would be terrifying after what he had already gone through. "You're in the medical bay at base" Zayto says calmly to his panicked friend.

Javi's heart was still beating a mile a minuet but hearing the voices of his friends was enough to calm him down. "What is going on?" he says between breaths, still very dazed as to what was happening. "Why am I tied down?"

"I'm sorry about that Javi" Solon says in a genuinely sorry voice. "It was just a precaution"

"Precaution?" Javi questions with strain in his voice as he finally stops struggling. "Precaution for what?"

"You don't remember?" Aiyon questions with an arched brow while Solon approaches Javi and begins to undo the restraints, knowing that while it wasn't physically him, mentally that was their friend Javi.

"What do you remember?" Zayto immediately asks.

"I remember being ambushed by Slyther....Void Queen and Void King's base....some machine" As the restraints are removed, Javi pulls his hands over his face to rub his temples as his head just felt like it was pounding. As his hands enter view though, Javi pauses, holding his hands above his head. His heart begins to race again as he sees they are not his normal 'human' hands, but rather white and black, similar to that of Void king and Void Queen. He sits up in a panic, looking down at his body, unable to recognize any of it. "What the hell is this?!" he exclaims with more panic than before.

"I-t's going to be ok" Izzy tries to say as calmly as possibly, hating to see her brother like this.

"H-How?! I'm a beast!" Javi replies, falling completely off the bed onto the floor as if trying to get away from himself. He backs himself into the wall, as small flashes of what happened at Void Queens base enter into his head. Everything after that was mostly a blur though.

Amelia comes running into the room after hearing all the commotion from the outside, checking in to see what was happening. From what she could see, Aiyon, Solon and Ollie were keeping their distance, trying to give Javi some space while Zayto and Izzy were right by Javi's side on the ground, trying to help him through this the best they could.

Amelia calmly approaches Zayto, Izzy and Javi, slowly crouching down to their level on the floor. She was happy they mostly had their friend back but she could see how this whole situation could be incredibly overwhelming. Everything that happened, that was happening was going to take time to sink in. "Hey, maybe we should let him rest a little" she says to Zayto and Izzy, knowing how much they wanted to be by Javi's side.

Izzy hesitates at the suggestion of leaving Javi be for a little bit but seeing the panic in her brother, even without much expression on the outside, Amelia was right. She wanted to stay by her brother side but he was going to need a little time to process everything. Despite how much this pained her, Izzy gives a small nod to Amelia in agreement as her and Zayto pick themselves up to give Javi the much needed space.

"Solon, take care of Javi..." Zayto says allowing the leader in him to take over. "Everyone else, lets give them some space"

Void queen sits in her throne, her head resting on the back of her right hand while her left hand rests along the arm of the chair, her index finger tapping the wood with annoyance as she stares down her husband. The room was tense as she silently glared at him from behind her mask. She was so livid with her husband with that last mission, she couldn't even form words. Not only did he fall for a trap set by the power rangers, there was no zord and worst of all, he had allowed them to kidnap her child. Had this been any other sporix beast, she would have destroyed him by now, but this was her husband. Even though their relationship was strained, she still somehow loved him. Even if he was nothing more than a servant with no choice but to obey her ever whim.

Void king gives a slight bow to his wife. "I truly am sorry, my wife" he says as his gaze meets the ground, unworthy to even look his wife in the eyes.

"Sorry isn't going to bring back my son, is it." she replies sharply, still tapping away at the arm of the chair.

"No" Void king replies, still keeping his gaze down.

"And every moment you waste here, leaves him in the hands of those wretched power rangers"

Void king goes silent, knowing that there was no asking for forgiveness on this one. Had he been smarter, he would have realized that the power rangers were lying about the zord from the beginning, and brought more sporix beasts to turn their own trap against them. but not. He decided to go down alone with Void Prince and allowed this to happen.

"I will bring him him" Void king replies, straightening himself up to look at his wife. "And I will make the power rangers pay for messing with our family"

Everyone gathered outside of the medical bay, each deciding to give Javi the much needed space while Solon did her best to reverse the damage done to Javi's body.

The energy in the room was tense was everyone was on edge with concern for what was going to happen next. And as their leader, Zayto was really feeling the pressure. He was suppose to have all the answers and be ready for everything yet he was at a loss of where to even begin. If anything, he felt as if he was letting the team down by not having any answers on how to approach this. If there was anything he did know, it was that sooner or later there was going to be a strike against them for their move against void queen. Not to mention, if they did all that to Javi, who was to say they wouldn't have the ability to make the same move on any of them or even innocent civilians. Then again, their only saving grace was the limited sporix beasts available for them to do such a thing.

Everyone was silent while they all tried to figure out what to do next. Do they wait for the next attack or should they go out there and strike first and try to catch the enemy by surprise in the hopes of ending this battle once and for all.

"So, thats it then? Javi is going to be a sporix beast forever?" Izzy finally lets out, trying to accept that her brother was never going to be the same again.

"Nobody said that" Zayto replies, trying to remain optimistic that he could still be helped.

"Ollie's hesitation kind of did"

Ollie swallows nervously when she points out that yeah, he wasn't really the best at lying. And she wasn't wrong but she wasn't exactly right either. Even when it came to terminal illnesses, there was always a small frame of hope that people looked to. "The odds are against him at this moment but that doesn't mean he can't be fixed" Ollie finally replies, trying to be as honest as he could. "Javi said something about a machine"

"Yeah, I saw it" Zayto replies, knowing exactly what he was talking about as he saw the flashes of what happened to Javi. "It was connected to a bunch of sporix eggs and harnessed their energy"

Ollie nods as Zayto describes the machine that was used to transform Javi into what he was and it was nothing like what they had here at the base. And by the description alone, it wasn't even technology they had. Going into a thinking mode, Ollie paces a little as the gears in his head start to spin. It was a long shot and would be incredibly risky but he was starting to get a couple ideas.

"If I could get close to that machine...." Ollie says quietly to himself as the other rangers listen closely, knowing that this was probably the closest thing to a plan they were going to get. "it would be dangerous but if I could get inside their base somehow and reconfigure their containment unit and isolation pod..."

"You saying we take Javi back to Void Queen put my brother back into that machine? After all he's been through?" Izzy spits out with concern, knowing that everything Ollie was saying was a hypothetical, not to mention there was no way they could sneak him in. They didn't even know where the base was.

"Void Queen's throne is in the same room as the sporix containment unit and there are sporix beasts all over the place" Zayto responds, as he describes the layout of the room. "Even if we knew how to get inside, you'd be caught instantly"

Aiyon listens in to both side of the arguments but steps beside Ollie, placing a hand on his shoulder for support. "It's dangerous but what other options are there? We can't leave our friend in that condition"

"Can't we just recreate that machine here?" Izzy questions, hoping there was a safer option.

"I would have to see how everything is connected...know what parts are used...." Ollie replies with a small frown before Zayto chimes in.

"I don't recognize any of the components to those machines, I'm not even sure they were all materials from earth"

Zayto didn't want to be the barer of bad news but even just having a visual on it wouldn't be enough for Ollie and Solon to recreate such an elaborate machine.

"So how do we get Ollie inside undetected?" Amelia quickly adds, knowing the risks but when it came to their team, the risks were worth it. Especially if it meant Javi would be back.

"It's not just a matter of getting Ollie in and out" Zayto adds, trying to approach this whole thing smartly.

"I'd need time to figure out the wiring" Ollie states with uncertainty "and even then....we'd need to get Javi in and there would be no time for trials"

There was a plan coming together but Ollie was right about the trials. Normally with things like this, you would want to experiment first but if they could get Javi inside the machine, there would be no guarantee it would even work.

"I'm sorry but I can't allow this" Zayto states firmly with a frown. As much as he wanted to help Javi, he wasn't going to risk endangering Ollie over something that might not even work. "It's too dangerous, besides, we don't even know how to get inside their base"

Suddenly the door to the med bay opens up. Javi walks out of the room, despite his hard looking exterior, he was almost embarrassed with how he looked but there was nothing he could do about it and having heard the conversation from the others, even if the odds were slim and the mission dangerous, he wanted to do it. He knew that as long as he looked the way he did, he could never return home. He could never have a normal life and thats all he wanted more than anything right now.

"I can teleport in there" he says with slight fear in his voice. While he didn't exactly know where the hideout was, he was able to freely go in and out of the building.

Everyone went silent when Javi exited the med bay and joined in on the conversation. None of them had expected Javi to be up and ready to do something like this so soon. Especially after everything he had gone through.

"Javi, it's too dangerous" Izzy finally says, breaking the silence. "They can find another way"

Javi shakes his head in disagreement. "And how long is that going to take?" he replies, not taking no for an answer. "How long you going to tell mom and dad I'm off on some BuzzBlast camping trip?"

Izzy swallows nervously as he brings that point up. Their parents were already a little suspicious as he had been gone for nearly a week without hearing from him, despite Izzy insisting it was some top secret mission for work.

"I can get Ollie in while you all keep void king and her sporix beasts busy" Javi says, slowing getting his confidence back. He takes in a slow breath, knowing this whole thing was dangerous but it had to be done.

"and what about void queen?" Zayto questions, knowing she wasn't one to join in the battles.

"Leave her to me"

As he speaks, the base starts to shake a little as explosions are heard from above. A screen turns on, showing that outside, Void King, several hengemen, Mucus and Slyther at dinohenge. Some of the trees around them are down on the ground, destroyed by a blast thrown by an angry void king.

"Looks like we have no other choice..." Zayto says, finally giving into this plan of theirs. "Just be careful"

"IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!"

Chapter Text

"Come out here!" Void King scows as he holds his sword out up above his head. With a mighty yell, he swings the blade down towards the Dino statue belonging to the red ranger. Luckily, just in time to prevent his statue from being destroyed, Zayto appears in front, catching the sword with his own saber.

"Alright, Alright, we're here" Zayto says as he pushes back with his saber, shoving Void King away from his statue. And as Void King stumbles backwards, Zayto is instantly joined by the other rangers. Each of them with their own weapons out and ready to fight. "What do you want?"

Naturally on the other side, against the rangers, Void King, Mucus, Slyther, and four hengemen stood.

"You know exactly what we want" Void King firmly states in a threatening voice as he points his blades tip at Zayto. "You return Void Prince now and I will ensure your end is quick with little suffering"

"/Javi/ is staying with us" Zayto replies, knowing they had a plan and it was now or never to go through with it. "

"Amelia, you take Mucus! Ollie and Izzy, you two take slyther. Aiyon, get rid of those hengemen" Zayto commands to his team, knowing that if they wanted everything to work, this fight and everything to come had to look real. "I've got Void king"

"This will be too easy" Void King mutters as he charges at Zayto.

Amelia leaps into the air, extending a leg out as she throws a kick at Mucus. As her foot closes in. Mucus crosses her arms over her own body to deflect the hit. As impact is made, Mucus stumbles back, landing into a small backwards roll. "Hey!" she calls out as she lands flat on her back. "no fair, I wasn't ready!"

Next to them, Slyther thrusts his staff forward, shooting an energy blast towards the two rangers who were commended to take him on. He lets out a small delighted laugh as the blast explodes in the ground, causing Ollie and Izzy to leap away from each other to get away from the hit. Of course, in mid air, Izzy pulls out her blaster, taking aim at Slyther as he begins to shoot. As for Ollie, uses the hyper boost dino key, blasting a larger energy ball Slythers way. The attacks from both rangers exploding into a cloud of dust as they appear to hit their target.

"Sprint Dino Key!" Aiyon calls out as he places the key in his saber. "Lets do this"

Aiyon charges from his spot towards the hengemen. He appears beside Hengemen number one while hengemen number two lowers it's spear for an attack. Unfortunately, with the speed boost, just as Aiyon was about to be skewered like a kabob, he sprints out of the way, allowing the hengemen to take out his buddy. While he takes a second to watch his work, hengemen number three charges at Aiyon swinging it's spear at him like a sword.

"Shield Dino key!" Aiyon quickly changes the key in his saber and instantly, a large shield appears on his arm just in time to block the strike. And as the spear meets the shield, Aiyon pushes the shield forward with all his might up, forcing the hengemens spear and arm into the air as he creates an opening. With the shield now held above his head, Aiyon uses his free hand to hold out his blaster. "Hey" he says with a smirk behind his helmet as he point blank shoots the hengemen in the chest with the blaster, sending the hengemen flying.

Mucus pulls herself back up just in time to avoid a second attack from Amelia. "I said I wasn't ready!"

Amelia lands from a jump right where Mucus was laying from her first strike. Part of her was feeling bad for the mushroom sporix, seeing that she really wasn't much of a fighter. "It's a fight" she says in response to Mucus' constant crying about how she wasn't ready.

Mucus finally turns and faces Amelia, her hands closed into tight fists as she bounces a couple times in the spot like a boxer hyping themselves up in the ring. "Ok, ok! Now I am ready!" She calls out as she takes a more traditional fighting stance. Of course, watching the mushroom slightly bounce back and forth like a video game character on pause, Amelia was having trouble taking this fight serious. Part of her wanted to allow Mucus to just get one hit so she could have her moment, but, then again, this was a fight and they had a plan.

While everyone was busy with their matches, Zayto holds up the Blaze dino key. "BLAZE DINO KEY!" he calls out as he inserts the key into his saber, instantly gaining strong fire based armor. Void King laughs as the fire armor appears. "You're only delaying the inevitable" he cackles as he holds out his blades, swinging one down, shooting an energy blast at Zayto, immediately followed by a second blast as he swings his second sword in the same motion.

Zayto turns his body into the blasts, taking the impact as the armor protects them. As he swirls himself around closer to Void King, he holds his saber down at his side as he slashes it upwards across his body, retaliating with a large blast of fire.

Void king holds his blades over his face like a shield to protect himself from the fire. And just as Zayto was going to get a hit, Void Prince appears between them. Without any effort, Void prince catches Zayto's extended arm holding the saber, twisting it, flipping the ranger onto his back. He then turns attention to the battle between Slyther, Ollie and Izzy, holding out his hand and firing an energy blast. "I didn't need saving" Void prince says in a low tone to Void king. "I had everything under control"

The blast fires right at Ollie's feet, exploding into a large cloud of dust which created coverage for the blue ranger. Under the cover of the dirt and dust, Ollie inserts the invisi dino key into his saber, disappearing just as the dust was clearing. However, with the distraction of Izzy, Slyther was too distracted to even realize his second opponent vanishing from sight.

Careful to avoid the others in their battles, Ollie makes his way over towards Javi. There was no denying that he was nervous about this part of the plan but it was the only option. As he approaches his friend, he stands close, placing a hand on his shoulder to indicate that he was there with him and ready to go.

"Sure you did" Void King says with annoyance as he summons twelve more Hengement to the battle. "Your mother is worried, let the Hengement finish this"

Void Prince gives a slight nod of the head in agreement, knowing that Hengemen weren't anything the rest of his team couldn't handle. All that mattered now was getting Ollie into the base and getting Void Queen and the other sporix beasts out to allow Ollie to do a few adjustments to their equipment.

"Slyther! Mucus! We have what we need, lets go" Void King yells out in a demanding tone to his loyal sporix beasts.

"Alrighty!" Slyther yells back before spinning in his spot, disappearing from the fight.

"Awwww really? I was just getting warmed up!" Mucus replies with a whine, despite the fact that she had really not done anything except run and call time out any time Amelia had gotten close to her. "You got Lucky!" she finally says, pointing a finger at the pink ranger before teleporting away.

Finally, Void King and Void Prince teleport away from the scene (along with the invisible Ollie in tow) while the summoned Hengemen form into a circle around the rangers, all with their spears aimed and ready to strike.

Zayto, Amelia, Izzy and Aiyon form their own little circle, back to back as they face the Hengemen who were easing in on them.

"We've got lots of work to do, so lets finish these guys off quickly" Zayto says calmly with a smirk behind his mask, knowing that from this moment, they couldn't afford any mistakes. Not while Ollie and Javi were behind enemy lines.

"Oh I missed you big brother!" Mucus exclaims as she throws herself into Void Prince, wrapping he arms around him tightly. "I'm so glad those big mean rangers didn't hurt you"

Javi shifts a little uncomfortably as he is hugged by the bubbly mushroom sporix. "Right..." he replies as he places a hand on her head to push Mucus off. Didn't need to have his mind controlled by a sporix to know that he didn't exactly want affection from the mushroom.

Void Prince, Mucus, Slyther and Void King stood before Void Queens throne. While Mucus was a little more relaxed and clinging to Void Prince, Void King was a little more tense, standing off to the side.

"Mucus, that is enough, can't you see he's already been through enough?" Void Queen says intervening from her throne.

"Sorry" Mucus replies, giving Void prince one more tight hug before finally letting go and stepping away to give him some space. "I'm glad you're back!" she quickly adds with an excited whisper.

Javi shoots Mucus a quick glance before turning his attention back to Void Queen, who was getting up from her seat. Softly, she approaches Void Prince, placing her right hand on his cheek. "I missed you so much" she says in a calm motherly voice.

"I'm sorry I made you worry" Javi replies, trying to enter into a mindset that he wasn't quite familiar with. This moment on, he had to rely on his acting skills....not that he had many.

"No! Don't be!" Void Queen replies almost insulted that her son apologize to her. "It was your fathers idiocy that nearly tore this family apart! Right Dear?"

Void Queen removes her hand from Void Princes' cheek, looking to her husband with a slight tilt of the head. Her expressionless face somehow sending a cold look to her husband.

"It won't happen again, my love" Void King replies, placing his left fist over his heart and giving a slight bow.

While the void family have their little reunion, Ollie quietly moves around the room. Step by step, he makes his way from the lower part of the room where Javi and the sporix beasts were standing up towards the the containment unit for the sporix eggs. Knowing he couldn't do anything major till the room was cleared, he slides himself beside the machine, sitting quietly as he hid in plain sight. Sitting there, he observes the room around him. Most of it looking it like the stuff inside was comprised of old junk. Some of it looking like alien technology, as previously stated by Zayto. Even the throne wasn't what he had imagined in his head, but, he figured they just worked with what they had.

"Of course not" Void Queen replies with a scowl before returning to her seat. She lets out a small huffed breath as she sits herself back down on her throne.

"At least the family is back together!" Mucus exclaims cheerfully.

"So what exactly is next?" Slyther curiously asks, really unsure as to what was going on at the point.

"Y-yeah! I thought we were going to destroy this planet and make the humans pay, why are we just sitting around?" Mucus adds curiously pointing out the obvious that they hadn't actually made any moves to destroy this planet as intended.

Void Queen sits there silently, staring at the two sporix beasts. The truth was she wasn't powerful enough to carry out her current plan. Had they gone with Void Knights original plan of just leaving the planet, they would have been gone by now but she wanted to make a statement. Her gaze shifts from Mucus and Slyther over to Void Prince and Void King.

"Maybe I don't have to destroy this planet" She says in a eerily calm voice.

"My Love, you wanted to destroy this planet!" Void King exclaims, almost annoyed with her sudden change of plans. "After all the humans did to you!"

"And the humans will pay for everything" She replies, sitting herself up straight as she looks directly at Void Prince. "Look at how obedient my sweet prince has become. Imagine making this world our kingdom"

Javi shifts uncomfortably as she speaks about him. At least she couldn't tell that he wasn't completely under her control, yet.

"Are you saying..." Slyther starts to say.

"MORE SIBLINGS?!" Mucus joyfully exclaims, cutting Slyther off.

"You plan on turning all the humans on the planet into Sproix beasts?" Void King questions his wife, half expecting her to yell at him for questioning her.

"Is that even possible?" Void prince adds, almost forgetting he was undercover.

"maybe one day, but, for now we start small" She replies tilting her her a little with a small smile somehow emitting from her mask. "We enslave the humans and hand pick the best of the best to have the honor of joining our family"

Void Queen stands back up from her thrown and walks over towards the sporix containment unit. As she gets closer to the machine, Ollie pulls his legs in close to his body, knowing that even if he was invisible, he couldn't risk her tripping on him or hearing him make any noise.

Javi's chest started to feel heavy as she walked over to the machine. While he couldn't see his companion, he knew that she was stepping inches away from him. He swallows nervously as he watches, trying to keep calm and trust that Ollie was well hidden.

Void Queen opens the containment unit and pulls out a sporix egg. She holds it up into the light with a soft motherly smile (if she could give one) before turning around to face her small family. "We're going to help these children hatch and send them out into the world" she says as the egg starts to glow in her hand. A bight light flashes in the room before suddenly a Sporix beast appears before them. Stone-Sad returns

"I'm back?!" Sone-Sad exclaims with surprise before looking around to see if his two siblings, Stone-Sad and Stone-Rad were around. "Where's my brothers?!"

"In due time" Void queen replies as she turns back to the containment unit, reaching and removing six more sporix eggs. She passes two eggs to Mucus, two to Slyther, and two to the newly hatched Stone-Sad. "I want you to take these eggs and find them some nice places to hatch within the city."

"Can do!" Mucus replies with joy as she holds the eggs up, teleporting away from the room.

As Mucus disappears, Slyther and Stone-Sad teleport away as well. That was those beasts gone.

"What about me?" Void Prince asks, curious as to why she hadn't tasked him to release a sporix beast across the city like the others.

"My sweet prince..." she replies to him, approaching Void Prince and placing a hand on his back as she turns him towards Void King. "We're going on a family outing"

Javi had no idea what that meant but if it got Void Queen out of the room, then that is all that mattered. He gives a nod as she teleports out of the room. Void King follows, disappearing, and with a small breath out, Void Prince teleports out of the room.

With the room cleared, Ollie removes his helmet, becoming visible again. He lets out his own sigh of relief, having been worried that he was going to get caught when Void Queen had gotten close. He holds out his wrist with an attempts to open up the communication with the team but finds that currently, the signal was being blocked. No biggie, it was something he could add to his list of things to do. Ollie stands himself up, examining the machine as he tries to figure out how it worked and how he could improve it. And not knowing how long he had, he knew he had to work quickly.

Chapter Text

There was no communication between Ollie and the rest of the team, a factor that Zayto was prepared for but still wasn't a fan of. With no open communication lines, there was no way of telling what was happening inside. All he could do was continue going with their plan, in the hopes that everything was going fine on the other side.

Of course, he hadn't gotten too far into the plan as they were unexpectedly attacked by Void King and his groupies. Naturally though, like always, Void King abandoned the fight leaving Zayto and his ranger team alone against his Hengemen, an incredibly easy win for the team.

Zayto paces in the main room of the base with his ranger helmet off. The next step of the plan was to try and get the attention of void queen and have her send out the sporix beasts to empty their base. But how to do it? While Dinohenge was a little more known to the public, and a location known by Void king since he broke in to steal the sporix on day one of his awakening, none of them knew where Void Queen was hiding out. And the odds of them falling for the lie about finding a new zord again were probably slim.

"What if bait them out with the Sporix eggs we have?" Aiyon suggests, knowing that was a risky move but it was something of interest to void queen.

"Too risky" Zayto replies without hesitation.

"What if we stage a fight?" Izzy suggests with a small shrug.

"Thats not a bad idea" Amelia adds. "If they see us out in the open arguing among ourselves, Void Queen might take the opportunity to strike?"

"That could work!" Zayto replies, knowing that the enemy would love nothing more than to see tension among the group.

"Or you might not need any of that" Solon interrupts, entering into the main room where the team was gathered.

"What do you mean?" Zayto questions with confusion.

"The Ranger hotlines been going off nonstop" Solon replies. "Mucus has been spotted over by the library, Slyther just outside the highschool and a familiar looking sporix beast by the beach!"

It was actually surprising to Zayto that Void Queen would set an attack so soon after their encounter with Void King, but he wasn't going to complain. If Slyther and Mucus were out causing trouble around the city, it meant Ollie was one step closer to being alone to do his handywork.

"Alright. Aiyon, think you can handle Slyther?" Zayto asks, knowing they very rarely split up.

"Of course, that magician won't know what hit him!" Aiyon replies with a cocky smirk.

"Amelia..."

"Please don't make me go against Mucus again, I feel too bad trying to fight her" Amelia pleas, knowing that her last one on one fight with the mushroom sporix left her feeling more bad for her than anything.

"I'll take Mucus" Izzy states firmly with a fist in front of her chest, eager to fight.

"Alright" Zayto replies. "Izzy you take Mucus. Amelia, you and I will go round up that Sporix beast by the beach"

"Good luck Rangers" Solon says in a supportive voice, knowing there wasn't much she could do but hold down the fort.

"Lets go" Zayto says firmly as he puts his helmet back on, holding his wrist out.

The other Rangers follow suit, putting their own helmets on and holding their wrist out. In unison, the group turn the dial on their watches, press the button and teleport out of the base.

Chapter Text

Civilians come running out of the library, closely followed by Mucus who happily skips out of the front doors.

"Fear me!" she exclaims in a childish voice as she holds her hands up in the air, each with a glowing sporix egg in her hand. With a quick laugh and a giggle, she skips over to a shady tree planted by the front of the building and gently sets the first egg down. "There you go little one! Now grow big and strong" she continues with a slight hum in her voice. "Now where to put your little brother....hmmmm"

While Mucus contemplates where to place the next egg, Izzy teleports onto the scene. Her stance ready for battle as she appears directly behind Mucus. "I know the perfect spot for that sporix" she replies with a smirk behind her mask.

Mucus jumps with surprise when the green ranger appears. She quickly turns around and tilts her head curiously. "Really? Where?!" Mucus replies before pausing. "Wait, no! You just want this sporix all to yourself!"

"Duh" Izzy replies as she holds out her Saber. Before Mucus could even say anything, Izzy goes into a charge towards the mushroom sporix. She lets out a mighty yell as she leaps into the air, one leg extended out. Just as she was about to kick the sporix egg out of Mucus' hand, the one that was placed under the tree begins to glow. In seconds the Sporix beast is reborn into Smashstone, and without any thought, the sporix beast positions himself between Mucus and the Green Ranger, catching her by the foot and tossing the unprepared ranger to the side like a ragdoll.

Izzy flies across the air, crashing into the brick wall of the library. She lands on the ground with a loud thud as she lets out a groan of pain as she picks herself back up. She lets out a frustrated breath as she stretches out her shoulders, trying to recover quickly from the strike. "At least I can have some real fun now!" Izzy remarks, referring to the fact that Mucus really wasn't that much of a challenge when it came to fighting. Of course, as she speaks, the other sporix egg in Mucus' hand begins to glow. Instinctively, Mucus throws the egg up into the air as she steps back to give it room to hatch.

"It's good to be back!" The beast exclaims as it forms into Vypeera.

"Great" Izzy mutters to herself as Vypeera and Smashstone stand side by side laughing as if they had already won the fight. Reaching to her belt, Izzy reaches for one of the keys, knowing she needed to power up if she wanted to even stand a chance against these two. "MUSCLE DINO KEY!" she exclaims as she places the key into her saber, the armor instantly forming on her arm.

With her increased strength, Izzy raises her saber into the air, immediately slashing it down, sending a large beam of energy between the two sporix beasts. As the ground between them explode, Vypeera leaps to the left, while Smashstone goes right.

"HA! You missed us!" Smashstone taunts as he lands, dust still clearing from the strike.

Izzy smirks behind her helmet as the cocky Sporix beast speaks. She then thrusts herself forward through the cover of the debris brought up by the strike, throwing a powerful punch directly into Smashstones nose. Smashstone stumbles backwards when hit, but Izzy uses the force of the hit to push herself back towards Vypeera, this time with her leg out, landing a firm kick against the Sporix beasts body, knocking her back as well. Izzy then lands directly in the middle of the beasts, giving herself a small celebratory fist bump of managing to get hits on both beasts. "You were saying something?" She finally replies as the two Sporix beasts try to regroup themselves from the unsuspected attack.

Frustrated by the attack, Smashtone's body begins to glow red. Within seconds, his right volcano fist begins to glow. A lazer fires directly at Izzy, who was unfortunately still standing between the two beasts, and too quick for the attack. As she lazer draws near, Izzy leaps into a roll, dodging the attack and allowing it to continue towards Vypeera who was still holding his face, as he danced around dramatically.

The lazer hits the sporix beast, sending Vypeera flying backwards into a tree. She lands on the ground with a small thud, laying there momentarily.

"Hey! You're suppose to defeat the ranger, not eachother!" Mucus exclaims from the sidelines, almost as if she were throwing a dramatic tantrum.

Izzy couldn't help by laugh at how easy that was when she sees Vypeera go down. "Makes me job easier" she replies to mucus with a snort before turning her attention back to the still standing Smashstone. "One more to go" she says, holding out her saber. "Well, one and a half"

"Hey!" Mucus jumps into the air, stomping her feet into the ground as the Ranger insults her. "I'll have you know that I am a fearful sporix beast! Just ask all those screaming people who ran away!"

"Awwww you're actually more adorable when you're upset!" Izzy chuckles as she gets back into a battle stance.

"Hmph!" Mucus crosses her arms, annoyed with the taunts from the green ranger. "Destroy her!"

"Don't have to tell me twice" Smashstone exclaims as he holds out his volcano arms, each of them glowing as heat rays fire from them, directly at Izzy. Izzy jumps into another roll, summsaulting out of the way as the blast hits the ground ahead, causing it to explode dramatically.

With some quick thinking about how to take out the volcano themed sporix beast, Izzy removes the Muscle dino key and pulls out a new one to help her. "Freeze Di-"

"Did somebody say freeze?" Vyperra says with a cackle as she gets herself backup, her voice drawing the attention of the Green Ranger.

Having not fought this beast before, Izzy unsuspectedly turns around to face the beast. The yellow eyes on the beasts chest begin to glow as energy rings pulse from them directed at the ranger. Izzy freezes in place mid sentence, the Dino Key still held in her hand, ready to be placed in her saber. Had she been around during the Rangers first encounter with this beast, she would have known not to look but unfortunately, this was a beast Izzy was not familiar with.

Mucus tilts her head as she sees how easy it was to freeze the green ranger. "Why didn't you just start with that?" Mucus questions with a giggle as she skips over to the frozen ranger, poking her in the forehead to test if the ranger really was frozen.

"I would have if someone didn't carelessly fire at me!" Vypeera exclaims with annoyance that she was attacked by her own ally.

"Hey, I was locked on target, it's not my fault you were in the crossfire!" Smashstone replies defensively.

"Crossfire?! She dodged your attack!"

"Guys, come on! Stop fighting!" Mucus states, trying to keep the peace among beasts. "That stuff all in the past! Look! We actually got ourselves a ranger!"

"You mean I got us that ranger!" Vypeera replies, correcting Mucus, knowing that all that sporix did was stand by and watch the others do all the work.

"I did all the heavy lifting!" Smashstone adds refusing to let Vypeera take all the credit.

"Uggh!" Mucus lets out a frustrated growl as she watches the two sporix beasts bicker over who did the most work. "Come on, it doesn't matter who did what" she says calmly. "What matters is we won!"

Chapter Text

Aiyon teleports to the front of the high school, his saber out and ready for anything. He cautiously walks around the premises, thankful that the area had already been cleared of civilians. With the front of the building clear of any sporix, he circles around towards the back of the building to where the sports fields were. Just as he thought, Slyther was out by the baseball field, planting a sporix egg underneath one of the benches. Without hesitation, Aiyon sprints to the baseball field, ready to fight.

"Little early for a game, aren't you?" Aiyon states, grabbing the attention of the shapeshifter.

Slyther turns his attention away from the planted egg and jumps up a little with excitement. "Goldie!" He exclaims almost with excitement. "Actually, the games just about to begin!"

The egg under the bench begins to glow, right on cue to the remark from Slyther. With a quick flash of light the Sporix Beast hatches into yet another familiar face.

"Batter up!" Slyther exclaims with joy with the perfect timing of the egg, curious as to which beast would appear.

"TIme for a homerun!"

The beast reveals itself to be Quickspine. He lets out a maniacal laugh as the beast sprints from the bench, directly behind the gold ranger. Once behind, he throws a quick punch to the Rangers back, throwing him across the diamond. Aiyon lands in the sand with a roll but immediately picked himself back up.

"NICE HIT!" Slyther joyfully says, cheering on the newly hatched beast.

"It was a lucky shot!" Aiyon retorts as he pulls a key from his belt. "Won't happen again! Sprint Dino key!" he exclaims as he places the key into his saber. His speed and agility enhancing as the armor appears on his arm.

Quickspine sprints towards the newly powered up ranger once more, but with the added abilities of the sprint key, he has no issues with keeping up. Aiyon waits for Quickspine to throw his attack, watching as another punch is thrown his way, only this time Aiyon ducks under the fist of the beast, and drops to the ground, extending a leg out as he sweeps the legs of the beast. Quickspine tumbles over Aiyon, rolling a few feet with a groan. And before he can get back up, Aiyon removes the sprint key from his saber, replacing it with one of his more favorite keys, the Electro Dino key.

Aiyons armor switches to the lighting themed shields. He stands himself back up and raises his saber into the air. Just as Quickspine was going to pick himself up, Aiyon slices the saber threw the air. A large electric beam shoots from the saber, hitting the sporix beast right in the back. Upon impact Quickspine falls back to the ground as his body starts to twitch from the extreme shock. In just a few seconds, Quickspine reverts back to his egg form and Aiyon gives a smirk behind his mask before turning his attention to Slyther who was still by the benches cheering on his beast.

"Batter up" Aiyon says, mocking the initial comment made by Slyther eariler.

"Urrrh! You rangers never play by the rules!" Slyther remarks back in frustration. "When is that other beast going to hatch?!"

"Other beast? Theres another one?!" Aiyon question's with an annoyed sigh, believing he had just won the fight and not wanting to take on another.

"Oh yes there is!" Slyther exclaims with excitement. "And you'll never find it!"

Aiyon snorts when Slyther brags about how well he had hidden the other egg. "Thats what you think?"

"Of course it is! It's what I just said!" Slyther exclaims, angered by the cockyness of the gold ranger.

Aiyon removes the electro dinokey from his saber, holding out a new one. "VISION DINO KEY!"

Aiyon places the Vision dino key into his saber and begins to scan the area around them with the aid of his newly enhanced vision. Over by the track and field course, he spots a glowing sporix egg hidding in a trashbig. "FOUND IT!" Aiyon exclaims as he points in the direction of the placed egg, immediately going into a run towards the location with the hopes of reaching it before it could hatch.

"No fair! You cheated!" Slyther angrily yells as the Ranger finds the sporix, teleporting from his spot, directly in front of Aiyon to stop him from disturbing the egg before it could hatch.

As Slyther appears in front of him, Aiyon stops in his steps, holding his saber out as he places the electro key back in place. His electro armor reappearing as he takes on a fighting stance.

"HENGEMEN" Slyther calls out, summoning six hengemen, three on each side of him.

"Really? That scared to take me on your own?" Aiyon taunts as the first hengemen jabs his spear at him.

Aiyon steps to the side, knocking the spear to the side with his saber. A second hengemen comes to Aiyon from the left. Aiyon spins to the side, shoving his elbow into the hengemen before slashing his saber across it's chest. Sparks fly as the hengemen crumbles into pieces. With the first one down, the other five circle around Aiyon. The five of them hold their spears out, stabbing them forward to meet in the middle. Aiyon thankfully drops his body to the ground, dodging the strike before thrusting his saber through the chest of another Hengemen, creating himself a clearing to crawl out as it crumbles.

While distracted with the hengemen, the egg in the trashbin begins to glow. It hatches, and once again, a familiar beast appears. Seeing the beast hatch, Slyther teleports himself from his spot by the ranger over to the new beast to welcome him.

"Whats the catch of the day!?" Trawler exclaims as he appears, happy to be back.

"Over there!" Slyther excitedly replies, pointing to the gold ranger who had just taken out two more hengemen.

"Two down, one more to go" Aiyon mutters to himself as he faces the last standing hengemen.

Trawler lets out a mighty laugh as he stomps his way towards the distracted ranger. Just as Aiyon strikes down the final hengemen, with his back completely turned to the beast, Trawler shoots out one of his famous nets that he was originally mocked for the first time he appeared.

"W-what?!" Aiyon goes down to the ground with the net, having not been paying attention to the fact that the beast had hatched. As the net wraps around him, he drops his saber, it landing just outside of the net. Aiyon struggles from the inside to try and break free, even trying to reach the saber he had dropped but just as he was about to touch it, Slyther approaches and picks it up for himself. "How nice, a trophy!"

"Give that back!" Aiyon demands as he continues to try and rip the net from the inside.

"I won this fair and square!" Slyther says with a snicker as he looks down at the captured ranger, holding out the saber like it was his new prize.

"Twas not much of a fight" Trawler adds, almost disappointed that he managed to get the ranger so easily.

"There are lots of fish in the sea, don't you worry!" Slyther replies, patting the disappointed Beast on the back.

Chapter Text

"I was hopin' for my brothers!" Stone-sad cries out when the two beasts he was given hatch. "No fair!"

"Oh boo-hoo!" Tidemare taunts at the golem sporix beast as he prances around, kicking the sand.

"Stop that, you're getting my bandages dirty you animal!" Tombtress exclaims with annoyance as the sand is kicked around.

"Stop what?" Tidemare snickers as he begins kicking the sand directly at Tombtress.

"I said stop!"

"That sounds like my line"

Amelia and Zayto teleport onto the scene, both of them a little amused by the bickering Sporix beasts. If it wasn't for the fact that they were Sporix beasts, the two of them would have assumed this fight would be easily won in a few minuets. Unfortunately, the two rangers were well aware that they could not let their guard down.

"Lets see, Stone-sad, overly emotional. Tidemare, the water bender. And Tombtress..." Amelia says as she looks between the familiar beasts, trying to remember how each fight was originally won against them.

"Hello Pinky!" Tombtress replies with a wave of her right pyramid hand before shooting a bandage towards the pink power ranger.

With the first attack towards them set, Zayto holds out his Saber, along with the blaze dino key. "Blaze dino key!" he calls out as he places the key into the saber, the armor forming along his shoulders and chest. Just as the bandage is about to wrap around his friend, Zayto unleashes a blast of fire, incinerating the bandages.

Tombtress starts to flail in a panic as the bandages on her body start to go up in flames. Luckily for her, tidemare was near by. With a swift movement of the arms, a ball of water from the ocean splashes onto Tombtress, putting out the final flames and leaving a rather unimpressed looking sporix beast. Immediately after, tidemare holds out his hands towards the red ranger, sending out a powerful stream of water towards the fiery ranger.

"Oh no you don't!" Amelia exclaims as she uses the shield key, throwing herself between the stream of water and Zayto. The water hits the shield, dispersing around them. While the two were distracted, Stone-Sad comes from behind, lifting the red ranger over his head and throwing him across the beach.

Zayto lands on the soft sand with a roll before getting himself back up. Seconds later, Amelia lands a few feet away from Zayto, having also been thrown by the golem themed Sporix Beast. She lets out a small huff as she stands back up, wiping the sand off of her.

"Any ideas?" Amelia asks as she readies herself for another strike.

Zayto stands himself back up beside Amelia, the three beasts standing in a row across them them. They already knew that Tombtress' weakness was fire and that Tidemare's was electric, but unfortunately Aiyon had the electro key. As for Stone-Sad, they knew he wasn't at his full power because he didn't have his brothers with them. Of the three, Tombtress would be the easiest to take care of, but with Tidemare near by, it was impossible for Zayto to properly use the blaze key without being extinguished.

"Actually, yeah, you have the hover dino key with you?" Zayto replies as he removes his Blaze key for the time being. Instead, he pulls out the Spin dino key. "Aim it at Stone-Sad"

"You got it!" Amelia cheerfully exclaims as she pulls out the hover dino key, placing it into the Saber, activating the armor onto her arm.

"Aim at me?" Stone-sad whines as he looks at the sporix beasts beside him. "Why they pickin' on me?!"

As the Golem beast continues to whine, a strike from Amelia hits him, causing the two beside him to leap out of the way just in case this was some sort of trick against them. Stone-Sad then begins to float in the air.

"Dino Spin-key!" Zayto exclaims as he activates the key in his saber. "Spinning-slash!" he then yells as he slices the air in front of him, sending a whirlwind attack directly at the floating Sporix beast. The wind sending him floating far out above the ocean. As the effects of the attacks wear off, Stone-Sad is dropped into the water several miles off shore, hitting the water like a cannonball.

"That's one down" Zayto says with a smirk behind his mask.

"You'll pay for that!" Tidemare exclaims with anger as he throws a strong burst of water towards Zayto and Amelia. Amelia jumps to the left, while Zayto goes right, the two of them dodging the blast of water which explodes the sand between them. Before landing, Amelia uses the Elasto Dino key. Throwing a punch that extended from her spot right to Tidemares face. Tidemare stumbles backwards while Tombtress steps forwards to throw another bandage attack at the pink ranger. Once more, Zayto uses teh blaze key, setting the bandages ablaze.

Tombtress screams as she throws herself into the ocean water to stop the flames, standing back up on the shores looking more angered than usual. "Lets change the mood here!" she exclaims as she sends a beam of light towards Zayto in retaliation.

"Zayto! No!" Amelia exclaims as she watches the beam of light hit her partner, remembering that Tombtress had the ability to amplify peoples emotions.

"Why are we even trying?" Zayto replies, relaxing his battle stance. "We lost this battle the moment we split the team up"

"Zayto, snap out of it!" Amelia states firmly as she runs to her partners side, placing her hands on Zayto's shoulders to give him a shake. "Tombtress just put you under a spell, ok? Come on, fight it!"

"We don't even know if Ollie's plan is going to work" The emotions turn into full on tears behind Zayto's mask as he begins to feel overwhelmed with doubt. He throws his arms around Amelia as he rests his head on her shoulder. "What if we never get Javi back?"

"Zayto, come on!" she exclaims with slight frustration as she tries to pry the crying Zayto off of her. Unfortunately, while Zayto has her trapped in his arms, bandages come flying from behind. They wrap around the two rangers, binding them tightly together as they fall down onto the ground unable to move. Amelia struggles to break the bandages, while Zayto is stuck sobbing on Amelia's shoulder.

"Great..." Amelia mutters as Tidemare and Tombtress approach the tied rangers.

Chapter Text

While many of the citizens of Pine Ridge had manage to flee or go into hiding, a large group of them were rounded up by the hengemen and gathered in front of the buzzblast. A crowd of at least 100 people stood anxiously, surrounded by the hengemen, unsure as to what was going on. The only thing that was certain was that whatever was happening wasn't good. Among the people in the crowd was Warden Garcia, Lani Akana, Jane and of course J-Borg.

While the people in the crowd were a little restless, muttering among each other as to what was happening, Jane and J-Borg naturally had their camera's out, ensuring that every moment was captured. Lani was unfortunately stuck in the middle of the people, looking around desperately to see if her son had gotten mixed up in all of this and finally, Warden Garcia was fortunate enough to be near the front of the crowd somehow managing to keep his cool in this tense situation.

"We are not entirely sure what is going on, but as you can see, with the presence of the Hengemen, known enemy of the legendary power rangers, things aren't looking good!" Jane says into the camera as she busts out her journalistic side while J-Borg stands on the other side of the camera, holding it steady while it focus' on her best friend.

As Jane speaks, a bright light flashes on the buildings roof. In just a split second, Void Queen, Void King and Void Prince appear on the roof looking down at the group of humans.

"And it looks like our big baddie has made an appearance! Zoom in on them J-Borg!"

"Got it!" J-Borg gives a big thumbs up as she tilts the camera up towards the roofs building, focusing on the familiar void King and the unfamiliar Void Queen and Void Prince.

"Vermin of this city, you should consider yourself honored to be standing here among greatness" Void Queen says confidently, speaking down to the humans below. "I used to believe that this planet was horrendous and that it's inhabitants deserved nothing more than to be removed from existence, but I've come to realize the potential. I have decided to show the people of this planet mercy and in exchange, I expect obedience."

As void queen speaks to the crowd, Javi stands beside her, calmly looking down to see the people in the crowd. He could feel his stomach tighten as he analyzes the situation, knowing that he had to remain 'loyal' until Ollie was ready with the modifications. As he looks through the crowd, he sees the familiar faces and right smack at the front, his dad. Javi takes in a slow breath as he keeps himself calm, despite the fact that all he wanted to do was take down Void Queen.

"Yeah Right!" A person yells back from the crowd.

Scoffing at the response, Void queen holds out her hand to the ground below and points a finger. An energy beam shoots from her fingers tip, shooting into the cement below and exploding. While the strike didn't hit anyone, as it was just a warning shot, people in the crowd start to panic, unsure what to do. As long as the Hengemen were around them, they wouldn't get far.

"The Power Rangers won't let you get away with this!" Another person yells out from the panicked crowd and suddenly, other people stop their panic and join in with that statement.

"The Rangers will save us!"

Void queen holds her hand over her lips as she chuckles a little at the comments about the rangers. "You mean these Rangers?"

She then holds out her arms as several Hengemen appear behind her. With them, the Pink, Red, Green and Gold Ranger, each bound tightly by the bandages of Tombtress. Javi jumps slightly with shock as he sees his defeated friends, fear starting to grow inside that this battle might actually already be lost. He swallows nervously at the sight as he tries to control the panic inside wanting to explode. The Hengemen push the helpless Rangers forward for the people to get a better look.

"The city already belongs to me" Void Queen exclaims. "You can either serve me like the obedient dogs you all are or face the consequences"

The people down below go quiet at the sight of their heroes captured by the enemy. Tension grows as she people start to kneel down in defeat. J-Borg turns the camera among the crowd as people start to submit to the will of this new villain before turning it back onto Jane. "It appears that the power rangers might have met their match, yet, there are two unaccounted for....there may still be hope"

Warden Garcia looks around as several people in the crowd start to give up so easily. He turns his attention back to the rangers up top. "Red, Pink...Gold and Green" he mouths quietly to himself as he takes a count, unaware that the Black ranger was technically up there. "There are two unaccounted for..."

Warden Garvia takes a step forward out of the crowd, turning around to face the people to try and control the situation. "People! Don't give in to her words so easily!"

Void Queen tilts her head to the side as she looks directly at Warden Garcia.

As people kneel around her, Lani starts to yell out against Void Queen as well, knowing that he was right. "The Fight isn't over!" she exclaims as she tries to help.

"Don't let this monster intimidate you!" Warden Garcia exclaims.

"Monster?" Void queen mutters with annoyance at the audacity that a human would dare call her a monster, after what they did to her and her family? She holds out her hand, pointing a finger at Warden Garcia down below, this time not for a warning shot. "You humans are the monsters and should be grateful for my mercy!"

A light forms around her finger as a sudden energy beam fires from it.

Warden Garcia turns around, as Void Queen angerly addresses him, watching as the beam gets closer to him.

"No!" Javi exclaims as he teleports from the rooftop down below between his dad and the energy beam. Javi takes the brunt of the blow from the energy beam as he is thrown into the crowd of people, who split to the sides with confusion as to what just happened.

Warden Garcia, who was hiding under the cover of his own arms turns to see Void Prince laying in the middle of the crowd with smoke emanating from his body. Thankfully because of the armor provided from his Sporix transformation, he wasn't killed, just injured.

"What just happened?" Warden Garcia questions as he looks between Void Queen up on the roof and void prince on the ground below.

Everything goes silent as Void Queen watches the scene down below. "Take the Rangers away, I'll deal with them later" She says with an angered voice as she dismisses the Hengemen and rangers, before teleporting from the rooftop, appearing beside the downed Void Prince. She takes a step towards her 'son', reaching down and grabbing Javi by the neck. She pulls him up to his feet as she stares silently at him, tilting her head to the side as she sees inside his mind that Javi was back in full control. Javi takes a hold of her wrist, grasping for air as she holds him up. Warden Garcia watches a moment with confusion as to what had just happened. He was sure that Void Prince was on Void Queens side but then all this was happening. He was unsure why, but deep down instinctively, he felt the need to help Void Prince. Without much thought, the Warden sprints at void queen, preparing to tackle her to the ground. Unfortunately, what appeared in his head as a good idea ended up backfiring. Just as his shoulder made contact with Void Queen's back, Void Queen twists her upper body, swinging her free arm, swatting at the Warden like a flyswatter hitting a fly. Warden Garcia lets out a yell as he is flung across the ground, landing in a roll as dust flew around him. Two Hengemen approach, the Warden, each holding their spears at the man to prevent him from trying anything like that again against their Queen. "The Power Rangers aren't going to save you" Void Queen states firmly as she continues to hold the struggling Javi to the neck, speaking to not just Javi, but the people in the crowd. "Serve me and I will allow you all to continue with your miserable lives. Should you refuse, there will be consequences"

As she says the word 'consequences' Void Queen turns around to look at the downed Warden, standing himself back up with the unwanted help of the Hengemen. One on each side holding an arm.

"The Warden will serve as an example" she states firmly as the Hengemen teleport away with Warden Garcia in tow.

"Dad..."

Void Queen turns her attention back to Javi loosening her grip on him a little, allowing him to breath a bit better. "Lets get you fixed up" Void Queen says in a eerie motherly voice to Javi before teleporting them both away.

When Void Queen and Javi disappear from the scene, Void King teleports down to the ground level of the building and starts to give orders to the Hengemen on what to do with the civilians.

Chapter Text

Ollie wasn't sure how much time he had to do what needed to be done. So the moment Void Queen and everyone left the base, Ollie immediately went to work. He started with examining the circuits of the sporix containment unit itself. From what he could tell, the wiring for the machine itself wasn't that far off from anything he had seen or delt with before. With a welding tool in hand, he begins his work. He disconnect one wire and reconnects it in another location and finally ads a custom microchip made back at the rangers base. Once satisfied with the rewiring of the first unit, he steps away from the machine to examine the pipes that were feeding from the unit itself into the wall.

Ollie makes his way towards the door beside the machine, placing a hand on it to try and open it. Sadly, it's locked. "OF course..." he mutters quietly to himself as he backs away from the door to one of the control panels in the room to try and see if there was a way to disengage the locks. He approaches a keyboard and begins typing away. Luckily for Ollie, bypassing the computers security wasn't too difficult for him. In just a few short minuets, a clicking noise is heard from the door beside the containment unit. Ollie smirks to himself as he hears the lock click.

"Alright, just one more thing" Ollie says quietly to himself as he takes a moment to also disable the security system preventing the communicators from working inside the base, as well as allowing them to teleport away.

Once disabled, he holds up his wrist to try and contact the others to give an update. "Hey, I'm almost finished here, how is everyone else?

Nothing.

"Guys? Anyone?" As he speaks, he hears an echo of his voice coming from below the computer, under the desk.
Curiously, Ollie crouches down to get a closer look to where his voice was echoing from. Sitting inside the box, Javi's morpher. Ollie takes the morpher into his hand as he grins even more. It was lucky that he heard it too, because had he not, he would have easily missed it. And with no answers, Ollie had no choice but to continue.

"Alright, lets see whats behind door number 1!" Ollie says to himself, proud of his finding as he makes his way through the door into what used to be Void Knights secret room.

Ollie looks around in awe at the giant stasis pod connected to the Sporix chamber, closing the door behind him. He approaches the glass window, placing a hand on it as he looks inside.

"So this must be how they did it....."

Ollie then makes his way to the back of the machine, finding it's own wires and components. He removes the circuit panel and just like the machine outside, he begins to work his magic. Cutting wires here, welding them there, and topping it off with his own special chip, finishing the connecting link between the two machines.

Once finished, Ollie lets out a satisfied breath, placing the backing of the panel back on. And just in time too, in the other room, Void Queen, Void Prince, the Hengemen and the Warden arrive.

Ollie uses the invisi dino key once more, disappearing from sight as he moves out from behind the machine, to more in front (but still out of the way)

Suddenly, the door to the room is thrown open and an angered Void Queen storms through, dragging her son by the arm beside her. "We're going to ensure there is no trace of that pathetic human left" she scowls as she drags an obviously terrified Javi towards the pod. The terror being from the fact that he had no idea if Ollie was even ready.

"Leave him alone!" Warden Garcia exclaims as he too is pulled into the room by the Hengemen.

Void Queen pulls open the door to the chamber pod, giving Javi a good shove inside. And just as she was about to close the door behind Javi, Ollie stealthily slides Javi's morpher into the machine. With it unnoticed, the device lands on the floor beside Javi's feet as the door is slammed shut, locking him in.

Void Queen then turns her attention to Javi's dad, placing a hand on his cheek. "Don't you worry, your turn will come."

The once bright interior of the buzz blast HQ was now dimly lit and overrun with Sporix beasts, Hengemen and Void King. The main room which used to be filled with desks and film equipment was now filled with several large cages that were currently empty, and one with the four rangers inside, unmorphed of course.

"Do they know how long it took me to organize my desk?" Amelia huffs as she paces around in the cage, watching the hengemen throwing desks and chairs around as they redecorate the buildings interior.

"I feel like your desk is the least of our problems" Izzy states with frustration as she holds onto the bars tightly, glaring at Void King as he is busy directing the creatures inside the building. And sitting on a desk behind him, all their morphers which had been taken away from the rangers for obvious reasons.

"It's all on Ollie and Javi now" Aiyon replies as he remains seated with his back against the bars of the cage, his hands draped over his knees.

Having been pacing himself, Zayto places a hand on Aiyons shoulder as he takes a seat beside his friend. "I believe in them" he says with an optimistic voice.

Izzy rolls her eyes at the optimistic response from their leader before turning around to face him. "One ranger and one monster of a brother, literally, thats some great odds we have!" she snaps before realizing what had just come out of her mouth. Looking down to the floor, Izzy slides her back down the bars until she too is seated on the floor. "Sorry..."

"It's fine Izzy" Zayto replies as he shakes his head, understanding where she was coming from. "The odds are against them but with Ollies intelligence and Javi's determination, I know they'll find a way. We will find a way."

"Zayto is right" Amelia replies, taking a seat beside Izzy, placing an arm across her friends shoulder to comfort her. "We're rangers, we will find a way"

Izzy gives a nod as she forces a smile, despite the circumstances.

"I hope so"

"What are you all blabbering about?!"

Void King lets out a laugh as he approaches the caged rangers, having heard their conversation about finding a way. "You've lost!" he exclaims in an attempt to correct the rangers. "And when Void Queen is finished with your friend, she's going to make you regret having ever crossed her!"

Zayto jumps up from his seat as Void King talks, refusing to be intimidated. "You'll be the ones regretting you messed with our planet!"

As he speaks, the front doors open. About eight civilians are shoved through the doors by hengemen with their spears ready to strike if they made any sudden moves. Among them was Lani who was one of the people who tried speaking out against Void Queen during her speech. One of the hengemen open up the door to the cage beside the rangers, forcing the people inside before locking it.

"You're not going to get away with this!" Lani exclaims.

"This is our city!" another person replies.

"We will never bow to you!"

Void King turns his attention to the rowdy bunch that was just brought in. He holds out his hand towards the cage, his sword forming. "QUIET!" he exclaims as an energy beam shoots from the blades tip, exploding into sparks as it hits the bars of the cage. No one on the inside was hurt but they all jumped by the sudden strike.

"Leave them alone!" Amelia exclaims, jumping up and lunging at the bars towards Void King, not that she could do much from the inside.

"Or what?" Void King scowls, looking back to Amelia. "In case you haven't noticed, you're the ones caged like rats!"

Amelia keeps her glare on Void King as she takes a small step back, going silent. As much as she hated to admit it, there wasn't much she could do.

Void king then turns his attention away from the cages and to some of the hengemen. "Continue rounding up anyone who refuses to comply with Void Queen's demands" he says before walking away to continue giving direction to the other beasts inside.

Lani crosses her arms as she watches Void King walk away. This wasn't her first rodeo when it came to the sporix beasts and as long as Void King and Queen were loose, it probably wouldn't be the last.

"You kids alright?" she finally asks, turning her attention to Amelia, Izzy, Zayto and Aiyon.

"Yeah, what about you guys?" Amelia replies softly.

"We're fine" Lani replies firmly. "They're just going after anyone who refuses to kneel down to them. Thankfully theres still a good chunk of us out there who refuse to be bullied into submission"

"Thats good to know, the Rangers will need all the help they can get"

Lani nods in agreement.

"Was Ollie not with you?"

Amelia shakes her head.

"He managed to escape out the back when they raided the building" she says, clearly lying about the fact that Ollie was currently in Void Queens main base.

It was hard for her not to worry about her son as it was a mothers natural instinct but she knew he was a smart kid. She knew she could trust him to stay safe.

"What about my dad?" Izzy questions, realizing he wasn't among the group brought in, despite his obvious attempt to fight back. "Where is he?"

"Void Queen took him" Lani replies bluntly, knowing there was no point in lying or trying to sugarcoat the situation. "I'm not sure where. I'm sorry."

Izzy goes silent, knowing that the only place he could have been taken would be where Javi was taken. Now everything was on Ollie, if he wasn't ready with the machine, she was going to lose her dad too.

"So what now?" one of the other people ask, starting to feel a little anxious.

Zayto could tell the tension was getting high with the new captives, which was understandable. As the leader of the power rangers and a knight of rafkon, he felt a need to try and keep everyone calm. "There are six rangers and we only saw four of them" he says firmly. "As long as the Black and Blue rangers are out there, there is still hope for the city and the world"

Chapter Text

"What are you doing?!" The warden exclaims as he watches Void Prince shifting around on the inside.

"Correcting him" Void Queen replies, placing her hand under her chin as she watches. "And hopefully for good this time...."

Just on the other side of the Room, Ollie remains low on the floor under the cover of the bench that rested against the wall. "Come on" he mutters quietly to himself as he watches the machine do it's job. "come on..."

"Hmm?"

Void Queen turns her attention away from the machine as she hears the low muttering of the blue ranger trying to cheer on her friend.

"Is someone there?" She curiously asks as she looks to her left, seeing nothing there.

Ollie places his hands over his mouth as Void Queen looks his general direction. Had it not been for his Invisi-dino key, he would have been spotted immediately. Unfortunately as he makes this motion, his right elbow smacks itself against the hard metal bench. As the metal bench makes a loud echoing thud through the room, Ollie pulls his arm into his chest as he holds his elbow with his left hand. "Damn funny bone!" he hisses though his teeth as his invisibility stops, exposing his hiding spot.

"Blue Ranger!" Void Queen states with a small smirk behind her mask. "Come to join your friend?"

Javi watches the scene unfold outside of the pod. Ollie stupidly hitting his elbow. Void Queen spotting him and making her way towards him.

"Ollie...." Javi says as he closes his eyes tightly. The pod begins to fill with a white smoke, this time though, it's energy feeling more calming than before. Javi takes in a deep breath before reopening his eyes, gazing down at his hand as he feels it starting to change between sproix beast back to his human form. He lets out a breath of relief as his body begins to change back to normal. He can't help but grin as the changes occur. And luckily, because of the draw of Ollie, his dad was too preoccupied by Void Queen and the Blue ranger to notice his son reforming behind the smoke. As he becomes more human, Javi crouches down behind the smoke, taking a hold of his morpher that had been kicked into the pod earlier. "Thanks Ollie" he says to himself as he places it back on his wrist.

Void Queen points a finger at Ollie as an energy beam begins to charge. In just a few seconds, an energy beam is shot at the Blue ranger. Ollie dives out of the way, and into the arms of two hengemen waiting for him. Before Ollie could even react, he is pulled to his feet.

"As much as Void Prince would love to have you as a baby brother, I think your head will make a better statement to the people below" she says as she points her finger at Ollie again, the energy building up again.

Warden Garcia elbows the Hengemen holding him in the gut, managing to break free, knowing he had to do what he could to save the blue ranger. The moment he was let go, the Warden charges towards Void Queen with a distracting yell. It works. Just as she was about to shoot the ranger point blank, her attention is turned around to the Warden, along with her hand now pointing the blast in his direction.

At the same time, a bright light fills the inside of the pod as Javi connects to the morphing grid becoming the black ranger once again. And just in time too. As the energy beam makes its way towards his father, Javi bursts out of the machine, jumping towards his father and pushing him out of harms way. The blast misses the two of them and the ground behind them explodes into sparks.

"You ok?" Javi questions as he lowers his voice.

"Black Ranger?! That was you?!" The warden replies with surprise in his voice, almost forgetting the trouble they were all in.

"No time to explaine" Javi replies as he stands himself up. "Stay behind me"

"I knew it would work!" Ollie replies with a cheerful voice as he elbows the hengemen on his left in the stomach, freeing an arm to allow him to grip the one on his right and throw him over his shoulder towards void queen. "Lets get out of here!"

Javi gives a firm nod towards Ollie as he steps back closer to the Warden. "Hold on"

He didn't have to ask twice. Without any hesitation, the warden grabs onto the black rangers shoulders, gripping him tightly.

Before Void Queen could even react to the rangers as she was in the middle of dodging the hengemen that was thrown at her, the two rangers and the warden teleported out of the room, leaving her with a few downed Hengemen and a newly destroyed containment unit and pod thanks to the Black Ranger.

Chapter Text

Warden Garcia stumbles a little after the teleportation into the power ranger base. It was a way of travel he would really have to get use to. Once he has his moment to regain himself, he excitedly looks around the main control room of the base like a child. "Is this?! Am I really in the...?!"

Javi places his hand on his helmet, shaking his head slightly as he really should have expected this kind of child like wonder from his dad. If only he could just tell him who was behind the mask and really blow him away.

"Yes, you'll be safe here" Ollie says, knowing that his own mother had the exact same reaction her first time inside.

"Safe here? You two aren't planning on going out there alone are you?!"

As the Warden speaks, Solon enters the room from her own private quarters with a pleasant look of surprise on her face. "I'm so happy to see you back to your normal self Black ranger!" she states with excitement. "I knew you could do it!"

"Wait, is that a talking dinosaur!?"

"I prefer to be called Solon" she replies turning her attention to the Warden, extending a claw.

"Uhh...right, Solon....I'm the Warden around here. Warden Garcia" he replies, taking a claw into his hand to give a slightly awkward hand shake.

"Anyway!" Javi says in a lower voice, cutting it back to the remark about going back out there. "Solon here will keep you safe"

The warden lets go of Solons claw as he looks past her to the two rangers standing behind her.

"I don't doubt her capabilities but I'm not staying behind, it's not just your job to protect the city"

"Da-" Javi stops himself midsentence, biting his tongue as he tries to recover from almost calling the warden his dad and blowing his own cover.

"Don't underestimate these villains" Javi continues with a save. "They're stronger than anything we have faced before, we can't risk you or any other civilians getting hurt"

"They have the rest of your friends, you two really think you can go out there alone and win?!" The Warden replies firmly. "Not to mention my son and daughter are out there in that mess. It's my duty, not just as the warden, but as their father to protect them!"

"I-..." Javi goes to counter his dads argument only to find himself speechless. How could he argue with what? Ask any parent and they would do anything to save their kids.

"I think what my partner is trying to say is that, while your heart is in the right place, it's too dangerous" Ollie replies, still not liking the idea of the warden joining this fight.

"Nothing is too dangerous when it comes to a man and his children"

"I don't think the Warden is going to take no for an answer" Solon replies quietly, taking his side. "Maybe we should stop wasting time on who is going and start working on a plan on how to save the others"

"Fine" Javi replies with instant regret. "But you listen to everything we say and at the first sign of danger, we will not hesitate to teleport you back to base"

"Deal" The warden replies, knowing it was the best he was going to get.

Seeing that Ollie didn't know what things looked like in pine ridge, having been a little preoccupied with tampering with the machines at Void Queens base, he approaches the computers and begins typing away, bringing up some screens with views of what was happening around the city.

"I'm pretty sure they're using buzzblast HQ as their new base. It's where they had gathered everyone" The warden states as he approachrs Ollie to look at the screens, pointing to the Buzzblast building where several Hengemen were gathered around. "It might also be where your friends are being held"

With a few types of the keyboard, the camera switches to inside the buzzblast building.

Everything inside was dimly lit but it was as the Warden had stated. Several civilians were being held inside. Among them, Ollies mother and the other rangers.

"Izzy!" The warden exclaims as he sees her sitting on the floor inside one of the cages with her friends. "Where's your brother? Where is Javi?!"

Javi places a hand on the Wardens shoulder as he looks to the screen. "It's possible he managed to get away to safety"

"Y-yea, you're right..." The warden replies, despite his heart sinking. In all honesty, Izzy was the more athletic of the two, if anything, he would have imagined her being the one to make an escape. Didn't matter though, his daughter needed his help and he aws not going to let her down. "Javi probably got away...."

"Don't worry, we'll get your daughter, her friends and everyone out safely"

The warden gives a firm nod, knowing he could trust the rangers. "I don't see any sign of the other rangers though..."

"They're probably being held in another room somewhere" Ollie replies casually, knowing that they were actually looking right at them. Unmorphed but currently safe.

"So what's the plan?" Javi casually asks, noting the dozens upon dozens of hengemen and sporix beasts walking around the interior and exterior of the building. Not to mention Void King making himself comfortable up in what use to be Janes office.

"We already know that BuzzBlast doesn't exactly have the greatest cyber security" Ollie states with a smirk behind his mask.

"Clearly" The warden replies, referring to the fact that Ollie had no issues getting their security camera footage. "We're going to have to have a talk about that after this mess is cleared...."

"Yea, sure" Ollie responds, brushing off the more serious officer remark from Javi's dad. "You know Ja....It's been a while since we've played with that Double Dino key!"

Chapter Text

The exterior of Buzz Blast was crawling with Sporix beasts and Hengemen. There was even the odd civilian who felt it was easier to just surrender and serve Void Queen and her army, rather than try and fight back. It was understandable though, they were people just trying to stay alive, no one was expected to put their lives on the line. They were just the ones the Rangers had to be careful around till they could get to safety.

"You ready?" Ollie asks into his communicator as he ducks down into some bushes beside the building.

"Born ready!" Javi replies with a battle ready tone in his voice, wanting to let out some pent up anger for all Void Queen did to him.

Javi crouches down behind the cover of a tree that sat on the front lawn of the BUzz Blast building, his dad crouching beside him eager to burst through the doors and get the people out.

Getting inside wasn't the main issue though, it was the hengemen on the other side of the door, monitoring everything that came in and out. Preventing any unwanted guests from entering into the building.

"I'm going in!" Ollie says into his communicator before leaping out of the bushes and knocking on the main doors to get the attention of the beasts inside.

'Tap.'
'Tap.'
'Tap.'

As the hengemen on the other side look through the glass window of the doors, Ollie stands there on the otherside waving his hand gleefully. "Hey boys!" he says in a cocky voice. "How come I didn't get an invite to the party?!"

As Ollie does this, Javi leans out from behind the tree. He pulls out the double dino key, inserting it into his saber as he aims it at Ollie. They had only used this thing once before but it wasn't till now they realized how much fun this key could actually be, and how useful it would be to the fight.

Angered, the hengemen throw open the doors and begin a charge after the blue ranger.

Ollie turns away from the door and begins to run. Or so it seems. The real Ollie dives back into the bushes for cover as the duplicate continues to run, leading the group of hengemen away from their post.

"They fell for it!" Javi says with a smirk behind his mask, actually amused that they fell for it.

"Come on" The warden exclaims as he stands up from the bushes, not wanting to waste a minuet.

"No, wait-"

Javi would have preferred his dad stay outside where it was probably safer but this was his dad they were talking about. Before he could even get all the words out, the Warden was already passing through the doors into the building.

With no other choice, Javi and Ollie follow the Warden inside, keeping close.

Chapter Text

"Ugh, I'm tired of sitting around doing nothing!" Izzy exclaims with frustration as she paces around in the cage. "We need to do something!"

"Like what?" Zayto questions, still sitting on the floor with his back against the bars. They had no morphers, not to mention there were civilians in the room with them, so they wouldn't be able to morph without giving away their identities. Then again, by this point, identities weren't important.

"I don't know!" she snaps back. "but at this rate, we've lost, and I don't like to lose!"

"We haven't lost!" Amelia states firmly. "Not yet! Not while there are two rangers out there"

Izzy rolls her eyes at the statement of two rangers. "You mean one ranger"

"You don't know that!" Amelia replies with frustration, trying her best to remain optimistic.

"And you don't know that Ollie was successful! For all we know he's no better than..."

"Izzy, don't"

"Guys stop fighting!" Zayto states, finally snapping, getting tired of the tension between them all.

"Awwww trouble in paradise?" a playful voice chimes from the outside of the cage, gazing in like they were animals at the zoo. "I don't know what Void queen has planned for you but it couldn't be as fun as watching you all fight amongst each other~!"

Mucus stares into the cage with amusement on her face. Not that it had much range in expression.

"Go away" Aiyon says, leaning against the bars with his arms crossed, trying to stay out of the arguments happening between the others.

"No! You go Away!....oh wait! You can't!"

Mucus giggles at her joke as if it was the funniest thing ever said. "Get it, because you can't!?"

As much as Aiyon loved a terrible joke, this one just had him rolling his eyes. Then again, if their positions were swapped, he probably would have been making the same joke to her. He probably would have been laughing at it as well, but unfortunately, that was not the case.

Suddenly, several hengemen are tossed into the middle of the room, shattering upon landing in the middle. Mucus spins herself around with shock at the sudden attack in the room. Within seconds, in runs the blue rangers, the Warden and to Izzy's surprise, the black ranger as his normal self.

"Hey! Who let you in!" Mucus exclaims as she takes a not so intimidating fighting stance.

"I'll take Mucus, you two get everyone to safety!" Ollie commands to Javi and the warden as he holds out his saber.

"Would you care for a game of rock paper scissors?" Mucus questions as she tilts her head to the ranger.

"SLYTHER BEATS BLUE RANGER!" Slyther exclaims leaping from practically no where and landing behind, swinging his staff at Ollie, who manages to evade the strike due to Slyther announcing his attack to him.

As Ollie dodges the strike, Mucus giggles some more as Slyther and the Blue Ranger start to go at it. "We're such an amazing team!"

Hearing the noises in the room from the office upstairs, Void King exits the room, looking down at the sight of the rangers. More specifically, the black ranger. While Javi and the Warden were moving to open the cages, Void King teleports himself right in front of Javi.

"Just get everyone out" Javi says to the warden as he pulls out his own saber and takes a fighting stance as well.

"We took you in as one of our own!" Void King exclaims with anger in his voice as he swings the swords in his right and left hands down hard towards Javi, who swings his own saber out luckily in time to catch Void Kings strike. The two blades cross as Void King continues to press down on his own blade, while Javi struggles to protect himself by pressing back with his own. "We gave you ultimate power! And this is how you repay us?!"

"You kidnapped me!" Javi exclaims back through his teeth. With one firm press away from his body, Javi ducks out of the way of the attack, allowing Void King to stumble forward from the force. As Void King stumbles forward, Javi slices his saber through the air, creating a cresent energy blast that hits point blank against Void Kings back. Unfortunately, all it does is push the villain more off balance than anything. But at least it gave Javi a little more time to really have some fun.

"DOUBLE DINO-KEY!"

While Void King's back was turned away, Javi uses the key on himself to create a duplicate of himself. A second Black ranger appears beside him and like a mirror, copies his movements.

"Woah this is trippy" Javi jokes to himself as the him and the copy each take a fighting stance. While only the real Javi would be able to do damage, the hope was to confuse void king.

While the rangers were busy, Warden Garcia approaches the first cage of civilians. He examines the lock and chain securing the door and being the true genius he was, he just removes his flashlight from his pocket. Using the butt of the flashlight, he swings the piece of metal down against the lock, instantly breaking it open. He quickly swings open the door and the people inside flood out. The warden then continues on to the next until finally reaching the one with the Rangers inside. Well, as far as he was concerned, his daughter and her friends who were most likely just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

As the Warden swings open the door, Amelia, Zayto, and Aiyon dash out from their prison, each pretending to head to the exit, ducking down behind some desks as they moved towards their morphers.

Izzy however, stayed behind a moment. Exiting the cage and wrapping her arms tightly around her dad. "Dad!"

The Warden returns the hug, tightly embracing his daughter. "They didn't hurt you, did they?!"

Izzy shakes her head as her eyes start to water with emotions as she was worried Void Queen was going to hurt him. Not to mention the joy she was feeling, seeing her brother, the black ranger, back in the fight as himself. "I'm just glad you're safe..."

"Yeah, but we better get out of here" he says, gently breaking the embrace but keeping a hand on Izzy's back as the two of them make their way towards the exit. Just as they approach the door, Izzy pretends to run away from the building with her dad, but the moment her dad removes his hand from her back, she sneaks back into the building. There was no way she was going to miss this fight. Not after all the shit she had been through.

With no one actually guarding the rangers morphers properly, retrieving them was a piece of cake for Zayto and the others. They each grab their morpher from the desk they were sitting on, placing them on their wrists.

"Alright, lets do this" Zayto says to his team as they hold out their morphers, each of them still crouched low to the ground in partial hiding.

"Hey, not without me!" Izzy whispers as she stealthily makes her way to the team, snatching her own morpher back from the desk, placing it on her wrist. "Never letting this out of my sight again"

"Lets do this" Amelia says with a smirk on her face.

"It's morphing time!" Zayto exclaims quietly as they all activate their morphers and link to the grid, becoming rangers once more.

Void King successfully takes the bait, moving in to strike against the double Javi. As he swings down, the fake dodges to the side, as the real one leaps at him from behind, throwing a firm kick. Angered, Void King swings himself around after the hit, only to see Javi was now joined by the pink, gold, green and red ranger. While he was angered they had managed to escape their prison, their sight didn't phase him one bit.

"Just because you escaped doesn't mean you can win!" he exclaims as he joins his two weapons together in the middle, creating the long staff with two bladed ends. He holds up his staff, purple energy forming around it. "VOID SLASH!" he calls out as he swings the blades down, shooting an x shaped beam at the group standing before him.

As the beam approaches, the black and Red rangers jump to the right, while the green, gold and pink go left. Each of them pulling out their own dino key.

"Blazing Dino Key"

"Electro Dino Key!"

"Freeze Dino Key!"

"Smash Dino key!"

"COSMIC DINO KEY!"

Flame armor forms on Zayto. Electric armor on Aiyon. The smash armor on Izzy. The ice armor on Amelia. And finally, a key that Javi had borrowed from the base along with the double key, the armor for the cosmic key forms around him.

WIth the five rangers in the air, they begin their attacks, one after the other starting with the gold ranger, who strikes his saber down through the air as bolts of lightning rain around Void King, each strike from the bolt creating sparks all around the villain. Next was the fire, as Zayto created a whirlwind of flames that engulphed Void king.

"Too hot? Lets cool things down!" Amelia taunts as she slashes her own x shape into the air, shooting an ice blast at the already disorientated void king, freezing him solid. And it didn't end there. There was no way that ice would hold Void King for very long, thankfully they didn't need it to last

Izzy looks to her brother giving him a nod. Izzy prepares her fists as a green energy forms around her right fist, as her brother raises his saber into the air.

Javi slowly slices the blade down in a vertical line as a portal begins to open. Honestly, he didn't know where this portal was opening too but that didn't matter. The further they got Void king away from them, the better.

As the portal opens, Izzy charges at the frozen void king. The ice encapsulating him beginning to crack as she throws an energy punch at void king. The force from the hit not just shattering the ice around him to free him from the ice prison, but enough to force Void King through the portal and out of the buzz blast building.

While Mucus was cheering on her buddy who was evenly matched with the Blue ranger, she catches a glimpse of Void King being sent through the portal.

"No!" she exclaims as she stops cheering and dashes to the portal, jumping in after he boss as she didn't want to lose him.

Slyther turns his attention away from the fight as he watches his partner stupidly go after Void King. He lets out a sigh of frustration as he looks back to the blue ranger. "We'll continue this fight later!" he exclaims as he spins away from the fight and into the portal just before it closes.

As the portal closes, the rangers all simultaneously let out a sigh of relief. That was one issue dealt with, for now. and while the fight was far from over, they were going to take this moment of peace. One by one, each of the rangers power down, returning to their civilian forms.

The last of the group to do so, Javi. As his suit disappears, he stands there with a grin on his face and his arms out. "Did you all miss me?" he questions with his cocky smirk.

"JAVI!" Izzy exclaims as she runs into her brothers arms, squeezing him tightly. "I didn't think we'd ever get you back!"

The typical response to the hug would be to return the embrace, but when her arms wrap around him, Javi's body tenses a little. And when the hug wasn't reciprocated, Izzy lets go of him with a bit of underlaying concern.

"It's good to have you back" Zayto says calmly as he approaches the pair, placing a hand on Javi's shoulder. Though, upon that touch too, Javi twitches.

Zayto notices this movement, and removes his hand immediately. "I-is everything ok?" he asks with concern.

One moment Javi was happy to be back with his friends, and the next, nothing felt right. His whole demeanor was off.

"Yeah, you don't look too good..." Amelia says, chiming and noting how quickly his body language changed. "Maybe we should get you back to base..."

"I'm fine!" Javi snaps slightly, not wanting anyone to be concerned about him. "It's just been a long week" he jokes with a forced smirk.

"No, Javi" Izzy interrupts. "Amelia is right, lets go back and have Solon give you an examination.

"I SAID I'M FINE!" Javi snaps back to everyone's surprise.

"Ok..." Izzy replies quietly, knowing that this was a blatant lie.

Aiyon lets out a small breath as he tries his best to change the subject. He steps between Izzy and Javi, clapping his hands together. "Well, how about we return to base for a celebratory meal?! You must be starving!"

Now that was something Javi could go for. There was no denying that he was hungry. "Yeah, I could go for some food"

It had been almost a week since Javi had returned to normal. Almost a week since Javi has had any proper sleep. He couldn't help it though, every time he closed his eyes he saw them. Void Queen and Void King. He could see himself inside the pod while the sporix energy flowed through him. Every time he got close to falling asleep, he was back up again, chest tight and covered in a cold sweat.

What's worse was that this wasn't something he could just go and talk to his parents about. But how long would he be able to pretend everything was alright? Sooner or later his parents were going to notice that he wasn't actually getting sleep. Hell, his night terrors have already caused them to burst through his door once or twice and the most he could come up with was that he might have had a close call during Void Queens attack on the city. Which was only a small part of the truth.

Right now for Javi, the only good thing was that things had been relatively quiet the past little while. Void Queen was dealing with the destroyed machines at her base while her husband and lackies were out there somewhere lost. Hopefully for good. While it wasn't a permanent solution, it was enough to give the city time to recover and the rangers to better prepare themselves.

Javi lets out a deep sigh as he rolls onto his side in his bed, staring blankly at the blue wall across from him. Closing his eyes tightly, Javi pulls the blankets over his head as he tries his best to clear his mind. He hated this and he hated even more that as each day passed, he felt more and more like a burden than anything. Unable to focus at work. Skipping out ranger training. Feeling disconnected from his friends. He hadn't even touched an instrument since the 'victory' against Void Queen. Everything should have just gone back to normal but nothing was normal. To Javi, everything was falling apart.
