Chapter Text
POV: Y/N
You stared up at the clear blue sky, your face scrunched up as the bright sun burned your retinas and you threw up your arm to cover your eyes. Wait… You looked to your side, realizing that you were laying on a hard wooden ground. Where am- “ Where a-am I?” You wandered to yourself, wincing at the dryness of your throat as you spoke out loud.
Looking around, you found yourself on a boat in the middle of the ocean. There wasn’t a single thing in sight. You started to panic, you were stranded on a tiny boat with no idea which way to go to find land. Y/n, you aren’t allowed to leave. You’d slowly die of starvation and no one would even know.
Oh. Nevermind–
You had turned around behind you and there stood a huge island that looked just like it came out of Jurassic Park. You were panicking over nothing, food was right over there! You sighed as relief washed over you. “I won’t allow myself to die just yet!”
Now you had to figure out where the controls were for this ship so you could get to shore. You thought it would be easy to steer and start up the ship but it was bigger than you had first thought so there were plenty more controls. You felt like you were in the cockpit of an airplane. You stepped up to the helm but you suddenly felt a wave of nostalgia and began to fiddle with the control panel. You didn’t know what you were doing but it all felt right .
With little struggle, you started the engine and maneuvered the ship closer to shore. As you were getting closer you spotted a smaller island just off the coast. Something in you told you to land there instead. It would be safer, easier to protect.
Within minutes you had lowered the anchor and jumped off the boat with a rope which you tied to a nearby tree to keep the ship from being pulled away from the shore. You think you had forgotten to do that once and had to wade into deeper waters in order to get aboard, but the whole scenario was quickly fading from your mind. Why couldn’t you remember?
You shrugged it off, maybe it was a concussion. You didn’t have time to rest it off though. The first thing you wanted to do was scope out your new home. The island was bigger than it looked though it was still only about the size of two football fields. There was heavy vegetation which made it hard to move through the underbrush. You noticed that there wasn’t very much larger animal life on the island either. The ecosystem was too small to house enough food for predators.
After a few hours of walking around, scoping out the best places to find food--you had found a few banana trees farther in--you returned to your ship. Stomach growling, you explored the ship. You knew there were rations, vague images of a small kitchenette and stocked pantry flashed in your mind.
“Score!” You shouted. It took you a while to find it, but there it was in all its glory. Piles of food lined the inside of the pantry; fruits, meats, chips, bread, snacks galore and so much more. You wanted to eat it all but you rationed it out. You’d eat the perishables first before you moved onto the canned goods. You’d also need to start learning to forage and hunt in your free time so you would have time to learn through trial and error. Yawning, you made note to look for tools to help with making traps and clearing out the foliage as well.
Luckily you had come across the bedroom in your search for food so you easily navigated your way to the bedroom. In it you found a closet full of clothes that you could change into. You immediately stripped, all day you had felt gross from the sweat and humid sea air sticking to you and making your clothes almost unbearable to wear. You reached towards a pair of PJ’s before you hesitated. I remember there being a… shower..? I think- “Yes!” You cheered when you found a side door that led to a bathroom. Turning the knob, you immediately jumped in, yelping at the coldness of the water before melting at the feeling of cleanliness. I hope the water doesn’t run out anytime soon- “Oh god! The water will run out!” You screamed in realization. Instead of soaking in the water like you wanted, you quickly cleaned yourself and turned the shower off. “I can’t afford to be wasteful.”
Your mood had soured drastically at the reminder that as nice as you had it right now, you had to constantly be thinking about survival. Or you could try your luck and steer the boat in one direction until you found inhabited land. That actually seemed like a plausible-...
NO. MUST NOT LEAVE
You held your head in pain as a strike off pain pulse through your skull. What were you thinking about again? Oh, right, you were getting ready for bed. Maybe you did have a concussion.
POV: ???
It had been a few days since omega had noticed a white mass floating next to the Northern island. It was the only part of the island that remained unclaimed. He was a little curious about it and part of him wanted to know what it was but he couldn’t go wasting energy and time exploring when he needed to defend his territory, not that he could get to the island with his inability to swim anyway.
Lately the others had been encroaching on his territory. He tried to defend it with all of his might but the others didn’t care about his strength, not when they all thought of him as one of the lesser counterparts on the island. That’s why his territory was comprised the Northern beach of the island. Not one of his counterparts liked the water and he wasn't a fan either but this was the only bit of land that he could keep that the others would even consider as a part of his territory. Just because he was eternally stuck presenting as an omega. And omegas couldn’t have territory.
He growled at the thought. None of them respected him and most only allowed him territory so that they could claim a favor for later-- once the heats started. Everytime he swore that next time he wouldn’t end up as one of their one and done’s but he always found himself in one of their dens. Then the next day he’d be chased out of the territory and soon all his counterparts would know and come around to throw shade for being ‘ such a slutty omega ’. He hated it and what he hated even more was that the heat cycle was coming back around soon. He could sense the growing tension around the island, he could hear fights occurring more frequently as everyone became more territorial.
He paused. He could sense something in his territory. It wasn't any of those look-alikes of his but it wasn't an animal. He could sense a soul in the being and they were on the beach. Omega teleported closer to the shore but still far enough that he stayed covered by the foliage.
There he saw a familiar creature, a human. He instantly became defensive, humans from his world, from what he could vaguely remember, were two faced, appearing sweet but all rotten and full of LOV and hate on the inside. He stalked behind them as he watched them walk along the beach, picking up shells while they looked around.
He teleported behind them when they bent down to pick another up.
POV: Y/N
It had been a few days since you had arrived on your little island and you found that you were naturally a good hunter and forager which surprised you since it didn’t seem, from what you could remember, that you had ever been in a situation that prompted you to learn. It’s this island. Though you couldn’t really remember anything anyway.
But you got bored of your island pretty fast so you thought you could cure your boredom with an exciting adventure to Jurassic Park. At first you were going to head straight into the woods but you felt like you were being watched from the trees so you decided to stay away from the tree line and instead walk along the beach. You found plenty of cool shells too. Much cooler than any you’d seen at the beaches you used to visit, probably because there was no one else to take them. Your bag was getting pretty heavy from how many you had collected.
You saw another shell that was really shiny so you bent down to grab it. As you pulled yourself up, you heard a low growl from right behind you. Yelping, you twisted yourself around, jumping back and falling on your butt. You used your arms and legs to backwards crawl you away from whatever had made that noise.
As you did this you stole a glance up at the animal only to see a… skeleton? How was that possible? Maybe you really were in some kind of Jurassic Park. You stared up at it in shock while it continued to make a low growl, stepping closer to you. Its shoulders were hunched and it stood in a defensive stance.
You sat there frozen and unmoving, still trying to process the fact that there was a living skeleton and it was growling at you like it was about to maul you at any moment.
Your heart felt heavy in your chest. Meanwhile the skeleton had eventually stopped moving closer but continued to growl at you. You waited for him to do something, anything but after a minute of continued hissing you started to realize that it was just trying to intimidate you and was unlikely to make a move to actually hurt you.
So you slowly stood up, keeping a close eye on the skeleton to make sure he didn’t try anything. Just a loud growl. With a new confidence, you dusted off the sand from your pants and walked up to the skeleton. It hunched over even more, fluffing up the hood of its dirty and matted jacket. He was trying to intimidate you. You must not submit. Following the same instinct that had been guiding you the last few days, you took a step forward, then another, and another, until you were face to face with the skeleton.
You were close enough to see pink sweat beginning to drip down his skull. Almost. You growled back at him with a smirk when the skeleton took a step back. Let the intention overpower. You felt an immense satisfaction at the skeleton’s subtle submission. You stepped forward again to close the gap again and gave him another low growl.
The skeleton seemed to begin to hunch into himself as you continued to close the gap everytime he tried to move away. Eventually the skeleton had bowed his head. You didn’t know what that meant but could feel that he admitted that you’re---
Oh man, now you feel bad… You don’t know what had possessed you to do that but peering down to the skeleton-- he was a lot shorter than you realized-- you noticed that he looked panicked and afraid.
“Umm…” You had no idea what to do next and you felt really awkward for bullying this random skeleton. “Here, have this.”
You shoved a shiny shell into him. He stared at you with wide eyelights(?) but didn’t make any move to take it from you so you grabbed his hand-- which he let you move him like a doll-- then you placed the shell in his hand. He stared at the shell like you had just handed him a bomb.
“Alright! Bye!” You told him then ran away from the encounter.
You jumped into your inflatable raft and began to paddle away. When you looked back to the shore, the skeleton was gone.
