Work Text:

It was a lazy Sunday morning, the kind where sunlight streamed gently through the curtains and, the apartment was quiet, save for the faint sound of the coffee machine gurgling in the kitchen and the occasional rustle of bedsheets as Sehun stirred awake.

Sehun blinked slowly, his mind still foggy with sleep, but the warmth next to him reminded him of where he was — and more importantly, who he was with. Junmyeon. His boyfriend, his best friend, his everything.

Sehun couldn’t help but smile. Waking up beside Junmyeon was one of his favorite things in the world. It felt like a dream every time, even though they’d been together for over a year now. He glanced over at Junmyeon, who was still fast asleep, his lips slightly parted and his hair tousled in the cutest way possible.

Unable to resist, Sehun leaned over and pressed a gentle kiss to Junmyeon’s forehead, taking a moment to just savor the closeness. That’s when he remembered something important — something that made his smile widen even more.

National Kiss Your Crush Day

He chuckled softly to himself. How convenient that such a day existed, even though Junmyeon wasn’t his “crush” anymore. He was much more than that, but Sehun figured the spirit of the day still counted. And he was definitely going to take full advantage of it.

The smell of freshly brewed coffee drifted through the air, tempting him out of bed. Sehun carefully slipped out from under the blankets, trying not to disturb Junmyeon, and padded to the kitchen. He prepared two mugs of coffee, knowing Junmyeon would appreciate one as soon as he woke up. As he stirred in a splash of almond milk, an idea started to form in his mind.

If it was National Kiss Your Crush Day, then maybe he could turn the whole day into an excuse to sneak kisses on Junmyeon at every possible opportunity. A mischievous grin crept onto his face as he picked up the coffee mugs and headed back to the bedroom.

Junmyeon was stirring awake when Sehun returned, stretching with a soft yawn and blinking up at him sleepily. His face lit up when he saw Sehun.

“Good morning,” Junmyeon murmured, his voice raspy with sleep.

“Morning, hyung,” Sehun replied, setting the mugs on the bedside table. “Coffee for you.”

Junmyeon smiled appreciatively and sat up, taking the mug from Sehun’s hand. “You’re too good to me,” he said, taking a sip of the warm drink. Sehun shrugged, his eyes twinkling.

“Well, today’s a special day,” Sehun said casually, taking a sip of his own coffee.

Junmyeon raised an eyebrow. “Oh? Did I forget something? Our anniversary isn’t until next month…”

Sehun chuckled. “No, nothing like that. It’s National Kiss Your Crush Day.”

Junmyeon’s cheeks flushed a soft pink, and he gave Sehun a playful look. “Oh really? Is that so?”

Sehun nodded, a teasing glint in his eyes. “Yep. And I plan on celebrating it… thoroughly.”

Junmyeon set his coffee down, pretending to be nonchalant. “Well, technically I’m not your crush anymore, right? So I’m not sure that applies to us.”

Sehun leaned in, his voice low and teasing. “Are you saying I’m not allowed to kiss you then?”

Junmyeon’s lips curled into a smile, and he couldn’t hold back the soft laugh that bubbled up. “I didn’t say that.”

Sehun didn’t need any more encouragement. He placed his coffee down, leaned forward, and captured Junmyeon’s lips in a soft, lingering kiss. Junmyeon responded immediately, his hand coming up to gently cradle Sehun’s face as they kissed. It was slow, tender, and full of affection — the kind of kiss that said a million things without needing any words.

When they finally pulled apart, Junmyeon’s face was even redder than before. “Well, if that’s how we’re celebrating today, I’m all for it.”

Sehun smirked, his hand slipping down to intertwine with Junmyeon’s. “Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

The day progressed lazily, as Sundays often did. They spent the morning lounging on the couch, binge-watching their favorite drama, wrapped up in a cozy blanket. Sehun used every opportunity to steal kisses from Junmyeon — on the cheek, on the forehead, and of course, on the lips. Each time, Junmyeon would roll his eyes playfully, but the smile on his face never faded. He was secretly enjoying all the attention.

At one point, as they were preparing lunch together in the kitchen, Sehun came up behind Junmyeon while he was chopping vegetables and pressed a quick kiss to the back of his neck.

“Sehun!” Junmyeon yelped, startled but laughing. “You’re going to make me cut my finger.”

“Sorry,” Sehun said, though he didn’t sound sorry at all. He grinned and leaned in for another kiss, this time on Junmyeon’s temple. “I can’t help it. You’re just too kissable today.”

Junmyeon shook his head fondly, setting the knife down and turning around to face Sehun. “You’re insufferable,” he said, but there was nothing but love in his voice.

“And yet you love me,” Sehun replied confidently, leaning in for another kiss. Junmyeon kissed him back this time, their lips moving softly together as the scent of simmering soup filled the kitchen.

“I do,” Junmyeon whispered against Sehun’s lips, his hand resting on Sehun’s chest. “So much.”

The rest of the day continued in much the same way — soft kisses exchanged during mundane moments. Sehun kissed Junmyeon as they folded laundry, as they read on the couch, and even as they washed the dishes together. It was domestic bliss, wrapped in the warmth of love and comfort.

As the sun began to set, they found themselves back in bed, tangled in the sheets once more. Junmyeon rested his head on Sehun’s chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart.

“You really took that ‘National Kiss Your Crush Day’ thing seriously,” Junmyeon said with a soft chuckle.

Sehun smiled, his fingers running gently through Junmyeon’s hair. “Of course. Any excuse to kiss you.”

Junmyeon looked up at him, his eyes filled with so much love that it made Sehun’s heart skip a beat. “You don’t need an excuse, you know.”

Sehun leaned down and kissed Junmyeon one last time, slow and sweet, savoring the feeling of Junmyeon’s lips against his.

“I know,” Sehun murmured against his lips. “But I’ll still use one whenever I can.”

They stayed like that for a long time, wrapped up in each other, the world outside forgotten. It didn’t matter what day it was — every day felt special when they were together.

This was just a glimpse of their simple, yet beautiful life. A life full of love, warmth, and endless kisses.
