Work Text:
“Hoist the colors let ‘em fly”
The pirates aboard were scurrying around, powder monkeys filling up cannons, swabbies moving fast to make sure the sail was pointing in the right direction, all of them doing their duties as they sang a beautiful tune.
“Let the cannons rip the sky. Raise your cutlass, lift a glass!”
The captain was watching his crew as they all raised their cutlasses, smiles wide on their faces as they kept singing. The captain should be yelling at them to get back to work, but he too, was joyously grinning. Not because of his crew, of course, don’t get him wrong, his crew was everything to him. But they would always come second to the man the captain was lawfully wedded to. Just the thought of his spouse made the captain cheer, joining on the singing.
“Fight the current ‘til we die! Fortunes flame will never dim,”
“Treasure strokes the fire within, bring on hell or waters, high,”
Kim Hongjoong took a deep breath, breathing in the salty air that had always calmed him. Kim Hongjoong, the biggest name across the seven seas, was about to make his yearly stop at the Halazia kingdom. Most pirates know of his stops, always keeping an eye on the most feared crew for a reason. But what most pirates didn’t know was the reason why Kim Hongjoong stopped at Halazia so often. They assumed it was because of a verbal contract, or supplies, since Halazia was rich in gunpowder and foods, as well as rum. Those pirates couldn’t be more wrong.
“We will sail against the tide, Ra da da da ra da da,”
As the pirates sang more, the pilot of the ship, Choi Jongho, raised his voice to silence the pirates, “Land Ho!” Two simple words made the ship turn into another frenzy, every pirate going to their assigned jobs. As if the pirates were bewitched, they worked diligently and quickly, more excited for this trip than any mission they have gone on in the past year.
“Jongho, when might we be dockin’?” The captain asks, using his pinky to get a piece of food out of his teeth, if his spouse saw him, he would surely be dead.
“If the weather stays calm like this, we will be arriving in two days time.” Jongho replies with a smirk on his face, knowing why the captain is so antsy, “You ready to see the queen, Cap?”
“That ain’t why I be askin’... Just curious.. Makin’ sure we ‘ave supplies for two days…” Hongjoong sighed and called his parrot over, her red feathers flapping as she landed on the captain's shoulder.
“Sure, and that’s why you have a letter in your hand with sloppy hearts all over the envelope?” Jongho laughed when Hongjoong glared at him, patting the shoulder the bird was not on currently.
Hongjoong just ignored the pilot as he passed the letter to the bird, “Aurora, send this here letter to me star,” with those few words, Aurora took the letter between her beak and flew away from the ship, heading towards land.
“Was the ‘earts really sloppy?”
“The queen doesn’t care either way,” Jongho smiled even more, looking at the captain's insecure facial expression. It was so weird, how a land-dweller like the queen managed to capture the feared pirates heart like that. Kim Hongjoong was a beast, killing nearly anyone who crossed his path a little too roughly, yet he was reduced to an insecure and blushing mess at the thought of his spouse not liking the letter he wrote carefully for him. Shaking his head, Jongho walked off before he could make the captain overthink anymore.

Halazia was a calm kingdom, not a lot of big crimes happened in the area so Seonghwa felt safe residing there for the time being. As he entered his home, he hummed a tune he heard earlier in the day, “Ra da da da ra da da, bring on hell or waters, high…” He opened his bedroom door after taking off his shoes, forever grateful for the maid he hired while he was away, making the house spotless, “We will sail against the tide…”
Caw, caw… Seonghwa whipped his head towards the window, knowing exactly who it was, “Aurora!” Seonghwa grinned and opened his arms, the bird flying straight towards him as he settled between the man’s arms. “How have you been, girl? Joong is coming home soon right?” He nuzzled against the beak before noticing the letter in between it. Ah.. maybe he wasn’t the most observant…
Seonghwa kissed Aurora on the head before letting her fly to the bird cage he keeps for moments like this, knowing Aurora would stay with him until Hongjoong arrives to take her back. He carefully grabbed a gold-adorned letter opener. It was a gift from Hongjoong, he found it during one of his plunders and Hongjoong decided it was so precious, he needed Seonghwa to have it. At the thought of his cute husband, Seonghwa opened the letter carefully, grinning at the cute hearts on the envelope. Well, what he could imagine are hearts, they looked more like potatoes. Seonghwa opened the piece of paper fully, beginning to read the words,
My star,
Meet me at the dock on time of my arrival. By the time you receive this letter, we will be arriving at sundown. I have so many gifts to give you, I cannot wait to see you and ravish you in them. Just thinking of my pretty wife has me feeling so much… Every moment without you feels like an eternity. I could write forever, but I would only embarrass myself further. I will show you my true thoughts when I am lying next to you.
See you soon, my love.
- Captain
If Seonghwa felt happy just thinking of his husband, there would be no words to explain how much this letter means to him. Especially with the cute drawing of two stick figures holding hands and a heart-potato in between them. One stick figure had a crown on while the other had a pirate hat, he can only imagine that Hongjoong meant to draw them both. Seonghwa gets a hairpin from his dresser and pins the letter to his corkboard, filled with every letter Hongjoong has sent over the past few years. He smiles lovingly at the board, even without any verbal words, Hongjoong never fails to make him feel so loved, even with seas in between them. He will always love Hongjoong even with the far, far distance.
He takes a breath and looks out his window, the sun is still high in the sky, but his nerves are on fire now. Seonghwa looks at Aurora, who is chirping a tune happily, he decides to start getting ready while he has the parrots music accompany him. He runs into the bathroom, taking a long bath to wash about every crevice of his body, making sure every part of him is hairless besides his head, and even then, he gives himself a trim while he waits on the bubbles of the soap to form. Yes, he was pretty much freezing, he hates warming up the water, and he had no wood to heat it, either. Hongjoong usually goes out and chops wood for him, at least to last a year of heated bath water. The thought of his husband again makes him jittery, rushing through washing his hair and jumping out of the bath, he’ll dump out the water later. For now, he has to prepare for his husband's return.
He finds the prettiest half-dress half-pants that Hongjoong gave him a long, long time ago. He puts on turquoise jewelry from the finest kingdoms that, again, Hongjoong had bought him. Every piece he was wearing was something that Hongjoong had either bought or stolen for him, most of it being the latter. Seonghwa finished by putting turquoise earrings on and grinning at Aurora, “Hey girl, how do I look?” Interrupting the tune she was still singing, she looked at Seonghwa before chirping, “Star, Star!” she yelled, flapping her wings and landing on his shoulder.
“You’re such a smart girl, why don’t we go wait for our captain?” He speaks softly as to not startle the parrot, looking out at the window once more, looking at the sun that was bound to set in a few hours. Aurora just chirps and Seonghwa takes it as a yes, grabbing his bag, and leaving his house came all too quickly, as if he were rushing. He knew he had no reason to rush, it would be hours before Hongjoong arrived. But still, he couldn’t wait to see his husband.
On the dock, Seonghwa felt at peace. The ocean was his home, his real home. He always felt comforted by it, even though it called his name, beckoning Seonghwa to abandon everything just to take a swim. Seonghwa shook his head, he was just swimming this morning, he didn’t need to swim right now, he had someone to see! He watched as all the boats, most of them being mercantile or traders, passed. None of them looked good, none of them were as impressive as the ship that dominated the seven seas. He was thinking for what felt like centuries before he saw a familiar ship approaching the harbor, the ship was beautiful. Every single part of it. No wonder why Hongjoong had compared his ship and Seonghwa so much–they were both extravagant. He knew it was the Mist, the ship that had his husband on it, but the cries and screams of “Mama!” and “Queen!” confirmed it even further. He stood up slowly, his knees cracking from sitting in the same position for so long, waving his hands towards the ship. He could see the crew scrambling to prepare for docking, every now and again, a crew member would pop their head up to wave at Seonghwa, which he gladly waved back to.
As soon as the ship docked and a plank of wood acted as a bridge, pirates all scrambled to get on land. Wooyoung, the carpenter, was the first one off of the ship, launching himself into Seonghwa’s arms with a scream of “Mama!” Seonghwa held the boy tight, as if they were going to chemically bond and never detach, “Oh mama, I ’ave missed ye so much, Hongjoong been goin’ crazy!”
Seonghwa giggled lightly and Wooyoung snuggled into his neck even more, loving the rumbles of Seonghwa’s chest as he laughed, “I’ve missed you too, baby, how was your trip?” Trips were hardly ever a thing with pirates, mission would be the better term, but Seonghwa didn’t like to consider that. He liked imagining they were all safe, just going on vacations.
“It been sooo fun! Ye should join next time, Hwx, Captain don’t stop yappin’ about ye. It’s seriously buggin’ me!” Wooyoung didn’t really mean his words, shown by a giggle and a toothy smile, some teeth plated with gold and one tooth missing altogether. Seonghwa’s smile drops a little bit, Wooyoung didn’t know that Seonghwa was right there with them, keeping the crew safe from below. Guilt was about to consume him before the captain finally arrived, looking like he was shooting daggers through his eyes at the carpenter.
“Is Wooyoung telling you lies again? I’m not always talking about you…” Hongjoong rolled his eyes before grabbing Wooyoung's shoulder, practically ripping him away from Seonghwa, “But if I did, would you be mad?” Hongjoong takes Seonghwa’s left hand, placing a kiss on their marriage ring, and then on his hand. Seonghwa looks at Hongjoong with stars in his eyes. Everytime Hongjoong comes back to Halazia, Seonghwa feels like he’s falling for him for the very first time again and again. He uses his right hand to cup Hongjoong’s cheek, kissing his husband's lips softly, whispering into his mouth, “Not one bit, Captain.”
“Get a room!” San, the master gunner of the ship, sticks his tongue out at the couple. Even though Hongjoong could retort that he and Wooyoung are worse on the ship, he just ignores his crew for now. Nothing could distract him from his beautiful wife in front of him, smiling a real smile that no one has seen for months, “My star, you get more and more beautiful every time I see you.. I’m not sure if it’s my sea legs, or the effect you have on me, but I can’t seem to stand straight.” Hongjoong wobbles his legs, over-exaggerating the effect.
“Hm.. Should I carry you back to my house then, Captain?” Hongjoong chuckles at Seonghwa, knowing he’s not serious unless Hongjoong really couldn’t walk. He smirks and wraps his hand around Seonghwa’s, “I would never let you lift a finger, my love.”
After tons of chatting and checking to make sure the ship is safe and won’t sink while they are away, the crew follows Seonghwa to his house. Every time the crew of the Mist comes back to Halazia, they stay at Seonghwa’s house even if it is only for a day, the doors are always open for his husband's crew. The crew hardly ever stays docked for more than a day, but Seonghwa’s house is and always will be the lone exception.
The rest of the night is filled with stories from the mission, reenacting all of the scenes so that Seonghwa can get a feel for what really happened. Even though Seonghwa knew pretty much all the stories, he was there, after all. But the crew didn’t know that.
San and Hongjoong were cuddled up against Seonghwa’s side while Yunho, the quartermaster, and Mingi, the boatswain, were telling a story about Wooyoung trying to help in the guns room and almost blowing it up. Hongjoong couldn’t shake off the feeling of San being so close to Seonghwa. Sure, it was his own crew, but is a man wrong for wanting his gorgeous wife all to himself? Though, his sane mind reminds him that at the end of the day it’s Hongjoong laying in Seonghwa’s bed. Not San, not Wooyoung, not Yunho or some other crewmate, it’s only Hongjoong.
He’s grateful for this fact, especially right now when the crew has returned to the guest rooms and mattresses on the floor, while Hongjoong and Seonghwa are together in the latter's bed, tucked under the covers together. Their limbs tangled up together, Hongjoong rubbing Seonghwa’s back as he inhales the captain’s scent, it smells so good, the scent of salt of the ocean clings to his jacket, the smell of gunpowder of the ship invades his nose, making him cough a bit. Even though he doesn’t like gunpowder much, he thinks his husband smells like heaven. “I’ve missed you so much, star,” Hongjoong pulls Seonghwa impossibly closer, “I wish you would join us one day. Just for a small trip. No missions, no piracy, no danger. We could even take a mercantile ship instead of the Mist… I just want you with us. My two loves combined–my wife and the sea…”
Seonghwa breathes in the captain's scent once more, gripping the back of Hongjoong’s jacket as if he’d float away if he let go. “Captain…” He starts before Hongjoong cuts him off, “Please, I’m your husband, address me as such.”
“Joongie…” His voice sounds broken once he speaks up, had taken a second before replying.
“Yes, my star?”
“I’m always with you, my dear, even when you’re on the sea, I’m always with you.”
“I know you are, star, but I mean physically so I can ho–”
“I am,” Seonghwa doesn’t let Hongjoong finish speaking, he doesn’t want to imagine Hongjoong’s fantasy about them on the ship.
“Seonghwa, I don't unde–”
Seonghwa felt the world crashing down on him slowly, inching closer to Hongjoong to hide the tears slowly forming in his eyes. He tried to recollect himself before speaking, though his attempts were futile, “I am, Joongie. I am there with you physically. Don’t think too much about it, just sleep, my pirate. You need the rest.”
Hongjoong wished Seonghwa wasn’t right. He wanted to question him, he was so confused, he needed answers. But, he knew his wife was right. He needed rest, and he needed to sleep with Seonghwa right there beside him. If he were to demand answers right now, he knew Seonghwa would storm off and he wouldn’t see him until morning. So, he just nods and kisses his wife's head, looking into his eyes as if asking for something. Seonghwa knew exactly what it was, no words needed to be said between the two, they were connected, they knew everything about each other. Well, one of them knew everything. The other… not so much.
Seonghwa closes his eyes, assuming Hongjoong did the same, and starts to softly hum. Loud enough to encapture the room completely in it. Seonghwa thanked the maid mentally for making sure the room was mostly soundproof for this exact reason.
Hongjoong didn’t know if heaven existed, but if it did, he knew it would be here in Seonghwa’s arms listening to him sing. Well, hum. Seonghwa would never actually sing to him, only humming softly. But as soon as Seonghwa would hum, Hongjoongs body began to tingle, feeling lightweight and floaty. His brain slowly shut off, every thought in his mind began to dissipate. The only thought he could form would be about Seonghwa. Only Seonghwa. Seonghwa. Seonghwa. Seonghwa.
~~~
When the captain awoke, Seonghwa was in bed beside him playing with his hair, sitting up against the headboard as he was reading. It looked like one of Hongjoong’s letters he sent years ago, but Hongjoong wasn’t sure. He was still waking up slowly. He was NOT a morning person. Though, if this sight was before him, he couldn’t be too grumpy. Seonghwa looked beautiful this morning, Hongjoong couldn’t help cuddling up to his leg, kissing his thighs each. “Good morning, gorgeous.”
Seonghwa giggles, oh Calypso, he giggled. Hongjoong is so whipped and he knows it, how could he not when Seonghwa is this pretty? Seonghwa brushes through Hongjoong’s hair one last time. “Good afternoon, stinky,” He scrunches his nose. If it weren’t for the insult, Hongjoong would’ve kissed every part of his body. He settles for just kissing his lips softly after whining a bit, leaving Seonghwa alone in the bed to go use the bathroom.
So what if I smell? Hongjoong pouted in the bathroom, taking off his clothes quickly, not wanting to make his wife wait, I’m a pirate! Of course I smell! Though, no matter what Hongjoong thought, he knew he would do anything to keep his wife happy. And if being hygienic kept his wife happy, then he would be the cleanest damn pirate around. He takes a bath after dumping out the water, noticing that Seonghwa ran out of wood to heat the bath up. He would have to stay an extra day just to cut wood for his love. So what if it’s an excuse to stay longer with my wife?
After bathing and dumping the new water out, Hongjoong steps out of the bathroom, back into Seonghwa’s room, with only a towel wrapped around his waist. Seonghwa looks up for a split second before flinging his hands over his eyes, the letter in his hand being discarded on the bed. “Oh Calypso, a warning, Hongjoong!”
“‘m sorry, my heart, but I need clothes, I did not bring any from me ship. Besides, you have seen my body plenty of times. Why so shy now?” Hongjoong notices Seonghwa’s frown when he speaks pirate-ish. He always forgets to switch his accent when speaking to Seonghwa. Seonghwa never liked his pirate tone, so he speaks properly when in Halazia, just for his wife. Though, one time Seonghwa really enjoyed Hongjoong’s pirate tone, with the captain’s fingers in him, whispering into his mouth using his pirate accent about how well he's going to–
“Be-Because!” Seonghwa’s outburst cuts off Hongjoong’s thoughts, “Whatever! Turn around, Joongie!” Hongjoong giggles at Seonghwa, the only person who will ever get to hear that fond giggle. He turns around with his hands up, as if getting arrested by the royal guards. Which he has. Many times. Too many times for Seonghwa to be happy about it. “Anything for you, my dear.”
He hears Seonghwa stumbling around behind him, the sound of a few drawers opening before finding the drawer he was looking for. Pulling out a few of Hongjoong’s clothes he left from the trip before, he takes a moment to admire his husband before giving the clothes to him. Hongjoong looks divine. Almost like Seonghwa could take a bite. He’s sultry, amazing, gorgeous, and downright sexy, and this is his natural body. Seonghwa frowns, of course his thoughts had to make him feel guilty like always. He has seen every inch of Hongjoong. Oh Calypso, Hongjoong had been inside Seonghwa more times than he can count. And yet, Hongjoong has never once seen Seonghwa’s real body. It’s always been this fake one he created, the fake one he’s living in. Seonghwa doesn’t notice his tears until he feels a hand wiping them away. He doesn’t know when Hongjoong had turned around, or when he had started crying. He only notices when he speaks in that oh so soft tone.
“What’s wrong, baby?” Hongjoong cradles Seonghwa in his arms. Though there's a height difference, Hongjoong always makes him feel small, cradling Seonghwa’s head to his chest as he kisses his hair. Seonghwa has never felt more comfortable than when he is in Hongjoong’s arms. This isn’t heaven, this isn’t paradise. No, this is home. Hongjoong is his home.
“I… I just…” Seonghwa hiccups, voice catching on itself.
“Breathe, star.” Hongjoong rubs his back, taking deep breaths as if to show Seonghwa what he should be doing, so Seonghwa follows along.
Seonghwa takes a last deep breath before stuttering out, “I wish you could see me.”
“I do see you, star. I see you. I feel you, my wife. I’m here.” Hongjoong doesn’t question his wife’s words right now, Seonghwa often had experiences like this, anxious moments would make him blabber about nothing much.
“No, Joongie, I mean actually see me. I wish you could see all of me.” Seonghwa lifts his head from Hongjoong’s chest to drop it on his shoulder, sobbing loud enough to raise concerns if the crew was downstairs.
“Sweetheart, you’ve been so cryptic since we’ve docked. Tell me what's going on in that pretty mind of yours.”
Though Hongjoong meant to calm Seonghwa down, these words just made his breathing become irregular again, “I can’t, Joongie. I can’t. Maybe one day. Just… let’s get you changed for now, okay?” Seonghwa stands up straight and wipes his tears, hanging the clothes to Hongjoong, ignoring the others' big puppy eyes.
Seonghwa will be okay. He’s fine. He’s fine with the guilt as long as Hongjoong never finds out what he’s hiding. He’ll hate him. He’ll leave him. He can live under a false identity. He can live with a fake body, but he can never live without Hongjoong.
~~~
Throughout the day, Hongjoong wouldn’t stop looking at Seonghwa, he didn’t look like a fierce captain, he looked like a puppy who thought their owner would leave them. “Cap’n, the Queen will not leave if ye lay yer eyes off ‘im for more than a tick,” Yunho whispers into Hongjoong’s ear. “I’m not afraid of that. It’s just… I’m worried for him. What if I’m not enough for him anymore? I mean, he’s a land-dweller… and I’m… always on the sea. You think I should give up being a pirate? I want Seonghwa so badly– I just… I want to be with him.”
As they were shopping, Seonghwa went to pick out some fresh fruit with Yeosang, the ship's sail-master and Seonghwa’s best friend. Although Hongjoong wouldn’t let him out of his sight, Yunho distracted him enough to get him out of ear-shot distance. “Ye be confusin’ me switchin’ accents…” Yunho sighed before speaking up, less pirate-y this time. “I get your concerns, Cap’n. But both you and me know that Seonghwa, sorry, the Queen, would have your head before you even considered giving up your dream for him. He loves you, we all know he does. I have no clue why he does, but he really, truly loves you. I don’t even think WooSan are disgusting as y’all.”
Hongjoong nods and chuckles, feeling slightly reassured. Ignoring the insults, he looks at Yunho once more, “And he would have your head if he heard you addressing him as Queen. You’re my right-hand man, Yunho, you’re basically our son.”
Before Yunho could retort and say that it’s because of Seonghwa’s power over Yunho, Wooyoung beats him to speaking and runs up to the two, “Where be mama, Cap’n?” Of course, another ‘son’ of his and Seonghwa. It makes Hongjoong think… Did Seonghwa actually want children? Is that why he pretended the crew were his kids? Hongjoong can’t give him kids but he can try to get Seonghwa pregnant over and over and–
“Ahoooyyyy?” Wooyoung waves a hand in front of Hongjoong’s face, snapping him out of his thoughts, “Did Calypso take ye already? I asked, where be mama?”
“My lady is with Yeosang. Please, do not bother them. They do not need a rascal such as you.” Hongjoong glared at Wooyoung, knowing the boy wanted to cling to his wife. Plus, he’s pretty sure that Seonghwa wanted some time alone with Yeosang. After all, Yeosang was his best friend and knew Seonghwa longer than anyone, and is the reason why Hongjoong even knows of Seonghwa’s existence. He will forever be indebted to Yeosang for introducing him to this goddess.
“Yeosangie loves me and ye knows it!” Wooyoung pouted, stomping his feet before a big man smelling of gunpowder came up behind him and hugged him. “Sannie!” Wooyoung giggled, knowing exactly how his boyfriend's arms felt. “Wooieeee… Shop?” San didn’t speak too much, unless he was tipsy with rum, which he almost always was on sea. Wooyoung nodded, “Sannie wants to shop beside me. We be off, then!”
Wooyoung and San thankfully went in the opposite direction of Yeosang and Seonghwa, making Hongjoong sigh of relief.
While Seonghwa and Yeosang were shopping around, Yeosang noticed Seonghwa’s mood. “What did he do this time, pretty?” Seonghwa whipped his head around to face Yeosang with wide eyes, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Seonghwa.” Yeosang crossed his arms and looked into Seonghwa’s eyes, giving an Are you kidding me? look.
Just the tone of Yeosang’s voice makes him crack, “I… I want to tell him, Yeosang. But it hurts. I know he’ll hate me. I mean, he hunted and killed my kind, Yeosang. I-I don’t want to die, I don’t want to live without him, but I don’t want to live with this guilt, either. I don’t know what to do.” Calypso bless Yeosang. Yeosang is the sole reason why Seonghwa is even alive today. Seonghwa owes Yeosang so much. He is the reason why Seonghwa is alive and the reason why Seonghwa has his husband.
“Correction, he never hunted your kind. Your kind attacked him first, so of course, in self defense, he killed them,” Yeosang starts slowly, not wanting to piss off Seonghwa, “And you know Hongjoong would never hate you. He’s too whipped for you. Like seriously. It’s disgusting how much he loves you.”
That made Seonghwa smile a bit before the smile dropped again, “If it was self defense then why did he sell their… you know…” he gestured towards his legs, making Yeosang nod in understanding.
“So he could buy you pretty jewels. Before you, Hongjoong would have never done such a thing. But, any extra money he can grab, he does. All because he wants to spoil you. But don’t get me wrong, he wouldn’t not do it out of kindness, he wouldn’t do it because it was ‘too much work’” Yeosang held up air-quotations.
“Yeosang… Do you think I should tell him?” Seonghwa looks at him hopefully, ready to listen to advice even if he might not take it.
“It will come out sooner or later, Seonghwa. That boy is not letting you go. He’d prefer hearing it from you before finding out for himself.”
Seonghwa nods in understanding. Of course, he couldn’t keep this secret from Hongjoong for forever, even if he wishes he could. He just… didn’t know when would be a good time. And his thoughts almost always got in the way. Even though Seonghwa wants to tell him, his thoughts always stop him. He couldn’t handle Hongjoong hating him. He couldn’t do it.
That night, Seonghwa wanted to fix whatever was happening between him and Hongjoong. He could tell Hongjoong was suffering and distancing himself from Seonghwa. If Seonghwa couldn’t tell him the exact reason, he could at least reassure Hongjoong and let him know that he loves him more than anything. Under the stars, Seonghwa and Hongjoong met in Seonghwa’s backyard, a cliff with many rocks below it. Hongjoong sat down first, pulling on Seonghwa’s arm to make him sit in his lap. Wrapping his arms around his wife, he sighed. “I’m sorry, star.”
“No, Hongjoongie, I’m sorry. I have no clue why I had that breakdown… or why I have been acting like that. I think the distance got to me. It was a month longer than usual, and I kept rereading your letters so when I saw you… I just… I just missed you.” Seonghwa pouts at Hongjoong, wrapping his arms around his neck, gently kissing his nose.
“My star, it’s not your fault. I got insecure, I was the one to avoid you today, sweetheart. I didn’t intend to at first. But, I just felt like I was losing you. I can’t lose you, star. You’re my everything. I’d drop everything for you. Yunho would be a fine captain, dear, he would probably be more feared than me, so, if you ever want to settle down. Just send me a letter, baby, I’ll be here faster than ever.”
As sweet and tempting as it was, Seonghwa shook his head. “No, Joongie. As much as I’d love having you to myself, I’d never take you away from the sea. I’d never take you away from the crew. Though, half of them would follow you and come live with us. And I cannot deal with Wooyoung everyday, so you need to stay on that ship for as long as you can.” Seonghwa lightly jokes. He knew that he would gladly deal with Wooyoung everyday, that is his most spoiled son, afterall, but he knew the true meaning behind it.
“I knew you would say something like that,” Hongjoong took a deep breath, kissing Seonghwa lightly, “I love you, star, I saw you rereading our vows this morning,” Hongjoong gulps, thinking for a few seconds, trying to think of words to say. Shaking his head when he got frustrated, “I can’t think of what to say, I just love you so much, Seonghwa. I’d propose right now if I could, but I guess past-me got that covered,” He kisses the ring on Seonghwa’s finger.
“You are so cute, my husband. I love you so much. Never think that you aren’t enough. I know I miss you, I know you miss me, but also know that I am always with you, like I said before.” Seonghwa presses his lips against Hongjoong’s deeply this time, knowing actions can prove much, much more than words.
Hongjoong gladly kisses his wife back, oh how he has missed this, he’s craved for it. Every time Seonghwa kisses him like this, he debates ever going back to the sea again. He pulls his wife closer to him, accidentally grinding their cocks together. Both of them moan into each other’s mouths, Seonghwa hums when Hongjoong pulls back, a string of saliva being the only thing separating them. Hongjoong leans down to press kisses against Seonghwa’s neck, sucking every now and again. Seonghwa needs this, he loves this, he lays a hand in Hongjoong’s hair, pulling him to suck harder on his neck as he rolls his hips down to meet Hongjoong’s. “Please, Joongie…”
“Please what?” Seonghwa moans at the hot air against his neck, rocking his hips even faster.
“Please, please mark me, make me yours. Won’t you fuck me, my husband?” The way Seonghwa spoke in that sultry tone made Hongjoong growl, if he didn’t taste Seonghwa right now, he would go mad.
Within a second, Hongjoong undressed Seonghwa even though his half-dress was the hardest thing to get off, he made sure not to rip it even through his haze. He didn’t stop moving until Seonghwa was nude. He knew they were in Seonghwa’s backyard, where anyone could see them, and that spurred him on even more. He needed everyone to know who Seonghwa’s husband was, he needed everyone to know just how much the feared pirate captain loved his wife. “Fuck, baby, you’re stunning…” Hongjoong ran his hands up and down Seonghwa’s naked body, taking moments just admiring him. “Could fuckin’ worship you forever, babydoll. I’ll never get over how beautiful you are. I’m so lucky.”
Seonghwa didn’t know how to respond, just resting his arms against Hondjoong’s chest. “Joongie… D-..mghh… Don’t curse…” Seonghwa stuttered when Hongjoong ran his thumbs across his nipples, hips bucking against Hongjoong’s clothed crotch.
“Love your tits, baby. Love you. Love every inch of you.” Hongjoong places his lips against Seonghwa’s nipple, sucking and using his fingers to rub the other.
“J-Joongie.. Oh my Calypso… Please… If you love me so much,” Seonghwa let out a loud moan as Hongjoong bit down lightly, “Th-Then show me… how much you… mm… love me…”
Seonghwa couldn’t keep his voice down when Hongjoong went to grab his ass, squishing it in between his smaller hands, spreading it out before slapping it. “Hongjoong, please, if you don’t put your dick in me right now, I will get off in front of you while all you can do is watch. I can tie you up if I need to.” Seonghwa glared at Hongjoong, no matter how good he was feeling, it has been entirely too long since he’s gotten laid, he needs Hongjoong in him now.
“Hwa, that was entirely too sexy. We need to try that sometime, hm? Wanna ride me while I’m tied up?” Hongjoong finally gives his nipple a break, swollen and red now. “For now, I want to make sure the entire kingdom knows my name.” Hongjoong begins to strip himself before Seonghwa stops him. Moving Hongjoong’s hands away, Seonghwa takes control, laying Hongjoong back after slowly undoing his shirt, flinging it off of his body. He hopes the dirt doesn’t stain too much, he knows Hongjoong would never even try to scrub it out. After Hongjoong’s shirt is discarded, he takes his time leaving kisses down Hongjoong’s chest, stopping right above his pants. He can see the bulge straining against his pants, chuckling, Seonghwa places a kiss to it before undoing Hongjoong’s pants, taking the string between his teeth and pulling. He hears Hongjoong groan, “Fuck, you’re not even touching me and I could cum just from that sight.” Seonghwa slaps his thigh lightly, “Language.”
Hongjoong groans once again when his cock is set free, Seonghwa ripped his pants off in one go, of course going commando as he usually does aboard his ship. He just forgot he was on land. “Y-Yes, dear, I’ll remember my language. I promise. Just, fuck, you’re so hot–” Seonghwa frowns and Hongjoong realizes his mistake, “Shit– I mean– Fuck– No– …” Hongjoong takes a breath before continuing, “I’m sorry, Hwa, you’re just so sexy, makes me feel… things.”
“Is that right, Captain? I make you feel things?” Seonghwa’s voice and the sight of Seonghwa next to his cock, breathing against it lightly makes Hongjoong dribble out pre-cum. “What other things can I make you feel?” Seonghwa licks a stripe up Hongjoong’s cock, kissing the head and tonguing the slit. Hongjoong’s hips buck up, “Hwa–” he moans louder, his wifes mouth is holy. It is the best thing Hongjoong has ever felt. “Hwa, if you.. keep going, I-I’ll…” Seonghwa kept licking, smiling innocently at his husband. He grins before popping the head into his mouth, making Hongjoong groan and grip his hair. “Seonghwa— Seonghwa, please, baby,” Seonghwa looks up at him, innocence and question in his eyes and he starts bobbing his head, his spit making the drag feel amazing.
“Your mouth– Hwa… Your mouth… feels s’ good…” Hongjoong is slowly losing his mind. His wife snaps his fingers, staring straight into Hongjoong’s soul. Hongjoong knows Seonghwa loves eye contact, he knows Seonghwa gets off on being watched. But if he looks any more, he’ll cum just from the sight and feeling of Seonghwa sucking his cock. “I’m gonna– Seonghwa, babe, my wife, my doll, my darling,” Hongjoong bucks into Seonghwa’s mouth as he sucks harder, going at a faster pace before deepthroating Hongjoong, swallowing at the feeling of the head at the back of his throat. If Hongjoong could give a warning, he would’ve, but it just happened so fast, as soon as Seonghwa swallowed around his dick, he began spurting cum into his lover's mouth. Holding the back of his head, Hongjoong forced Seonghwa down his leaking cock even more. Once he was entirely done cumming, he let Seonghwa come up for air.
“You taste so good, Hongjoong… My dear, you sound heavenly. Like Calypso herself has blessed you.” Seonghwa ran his fingers through Hongjoong’s hair, Hongjoong practically purred when he heard his wife's praise. “You look so tired baby, it’s late now, so let’s go inside, hm?” Seonghwa spoke so softly, a complete 180 from just a few seconds earlier.
“N-No,” Hongjoong finally found his voice, “Wan’ make you cum too, Hwa. Wanna make you feel so good.” Seonghwa chuckled at his cute husband, clearly still recovering from the orgasm. “How about you make it up to me tomorrow morning?” Hongjoong kisses his wife, smirking into his mouth, “Sounds like a plan, love.”
~~~
So, for the next few days of the Mist’s stay, Hongjoong and his crew felt happier than ever. The first day was only a hiccup, from then on, Hongjoong and Seonghwa didn’t stay away from each other. Sometimes, they would split up just to make sure the crew was okay, but other than that, they were never apart. Especially at night, when it was just them two cuddled up beside each other, playing with each other's hair and leaving light kisses everywhere. The crew was nearing the end of their stay, they were bound to set sail tomorrow.
“It’ll be another year before you can hold me, Joongie…” Seonghwa trailed off. He felt terrible for Hongjoong. Seonghwa could see Hongjoong for the next year, but Hongjoong had to wait to see Seonghwa.
“Actually, darlin’, I was thinking… Maybe the Mist could stay one more night? Only if the Queen allows of course. I noticed you didn’t have any wood left. What kind of husband would I be if I didn’t provide hot baths for my love? So, tomorrow, you and the crew can have a picnic while the Brutes and I go chop some wood for you, hm?” Hongjoong softly smiles, anxiety creeping up on him the longer he speaks, afraid Seonghwa would say no.
Silly Hongjoong, he should know that Seonghwa would never say no to him. “Even if you asked to stay a hundred more years, I would say yes every single time. Of course, dear, just make sure to spend some time with me too? You’re staying an extra day afterall!” Seonghwa wraps his arms around Hongjoong, bringing him close, never wanting to let go.
“Yes, of course, I will make all the time in the world for my lovely wife. My Queen. My everything. Seonghwa, you’re my everything.” Hongjoong smiled wider as he heard Seonghwa sniffle a little bit, burying his head in his lover's chest. “Hongjoongie… that’s.. part of your vows…” Seonghwa sniffled once more, pulling Hongjoong tighter.
“I know, baby, I mean every word of it.”
“I didn’t know if you still remembered them…”
“I recite those words every single night in my head to you, my love, you’re my everything.”
“You make me feel so special, Joongie.”
“I always plan to do so.” With that, the two stayed quiet, embracing each other before closing their eyes. Seonghwa began to hum like he does every night.
In the morning, the two were the last out of the house. The rest of the crew was ready to go into the woods, especially the brutes, they wanted to try out the new axes Wooyoung made! But alas, they were waiting on the love-fueled couple to get out of bed. If they didn’t get up in the next twenty minutes, Jongho was surely going to break their door down.
When the couple finally made their way downstairs and out the door, they waved innocently as the crew raved about how long they took. “Where the hell have you two been!? Did you stay up too late? Hwa, you know that’s not good for you– Don’t tell me you went out to sw–” Seonghwa slapped a hand over Yeosang’s mouth. Hongjoong was not supposed to know about his love for swimming.
“I did not go out to do that, and we were just–”
“The Queen be lyin’! I witnessededed it!” Wooyoung shouted from the back, throwing his hands up, “Saw ye on top of Cap’n!” Seonghwa would rather Yeosang expose his secret right now because the embarrassment was just too much. Hongjoong, on the other hand, looked so proud.
“Wooyoung, I suggest ye shut yer trap before…” Mingi dragged his finger across his neck, signaling that Wooyoung would be dead if he kept speaking.
“Wh-Why don’t we get going?” The embarrassed wife said, covering his face with a hand, “We were late anyways so let’s–” He was once again cut off by a loud Wooyoung.
“That be a hickey!? It looks fresh too! What might ye be doin’ up there?” Wooyoung immediately finished his thought with a loud scream, being picked up by his boyfriend and thrown over his shoulder.
“Pardon us, Madam. I am still trying to train his mouth.” San bows politely at Seonghwa, flinging Wooyoung around, “Shall we escort you?” San didn’t seem to understand that Seonghwa wasn’t an actual queen. Since San didn’t get an education, only rose on any ship that would take him in. He’s heard about queens before, and that they needed the most respect. So that’s what San will do! Maybe then this Queen will have some mercy on him. His wish was given when Seonghwa pets San’s hair, “That would be lovely, Sannie, but how about you focus on that,” Seonghwa points to the boy on his shoulder, “I have my husband to escort me.”
San nods and bows, already said enough given his sober state, and leaves towards the woods with the rest of the brutes. Hongjoong giggles a bit as he watches the exchange. “You know, he still thinks you’re an actual queen, like, the queen of Halazia. He brags about it when we go to other kingdoms.”
Seonghwa giggles, “That’s my Sannie, I’ve told him so many times I’m not an actual queen, you know? I’m only a queen because I’m married to the King of the Seven Seas, what a title.”
“We have, as well, we’ll get him to realize it… One day, at least.” Hongjoong holds his hand out, waiting for his wife to intertwine their hands together before following the rest of the crew, walking a bit slower than the rest, trying to make time go by slower so that they would never have to leave each other's side.
“Go sit down with the rest, my love. San, the brutes, and I are all going to get some wood for you and the ship, okay?” Hongjoong looked at Seonghwa like he didn’t want to leave, like he would gladly leave everyone else if Seonghwa said so. But alas, Seonghwa just nodded and kissed Hongjoong’s cheek, “Be safe, my husband.”
“I will, my wife.” Neither stopped grinning the entire night. Hongjoong was in the woods chopping away while Seonghwa and the crew were having a picnic with big meals that Seonghwa had cooked in preparation for the crew. He and Yeosang also brought some fresh fruit and vegetables, knowing the crew hadn’t seen fruits and veggies in a long while, especially with Kim Hongjoong as their captain.
“I wish Joongie would listen to me more about meals. He is a terrible eater.” Seonghwa sighed, voicing his concerns to the crew.
Mingi threw his head back, “Have ye told ‘im that? Cap’n would do anythin’ for ye. Calypso, if ye asked to ‘ave the crew beheaded, Cap’n would do it. No second thought.” The rest of the crew began to laugh and agree, clapping and giving thumbs up.
“Oh please, as if you don’t know about the Captain's disdain for vegetables. That’s the only thing Seonghwa can’t get him to do.” Yeosang adds in, giggling a bit because it’s just so silly. The Captain’s weakness, his wife and vegetables.
“Queen, are ye sure ye can’t come as our cook? Meals be the best here, ‘cause of ye.” Yunho adds in, his pudgy cheeks full of food, making them rounder than usual.
“Yunho, dearest, please talk after you’re done chewing… I think the blanket is stained from your spit-filled food.” Seonghwa scoots closer to Yeosang, farther from Yunho, who looks like a rejected puppy, “Sorry, Miss…”
“It’s quite alright, puppy, sometimes I forget you’re all pirates.” Seonghwa giggles as he scratches under Yunho’s chin, like he was a real puppy. Seonghwa lied, he couldn’t forget that they were pirates, especially after everything he had witnessed.
“That’s us! Hit it boys!” Choi Sumin, one of the gunners and musikers, shouted loudly.
Seonghwa looked around confused as the crew of Mist began singing a wonderful pirate tune, each pirate grabbing their drinks of rum and lemonade that Seonghwa made, raising it as far as their arms could reach.
“Yo-ho Yo-ho! A pirate's life for me!”
Seonghwa looked around in awe, this is when he enjoys the crew the most, he loves when they’re all having a fun time, just like boys their age should. Seonghwa loves this crew more than life itself. Not just Kim Hongjoong, but the entire crew. Each crew member had their own backstory, it was really hard to learn each story because Seonghwa would get so choked up at some of them. These boys have had so many experiences and deserved so much more, that’s why Seonghwa wanted to be the gentle, non-pirate figure in their lives, to at least have some normalcy.
“We extort and pilfer, we filch and sack,
Drink up me hearties, Yo-ho!”
The crew suddenly turns to Seonghwa, grabbing him by his arms and making him stand, the pirates all dance around, like they have rehearsed this for so long. They each took a sip of their rum, continuing to dance even though sweat, food, and rum was flinging around all through the air.
“Maraud and embezzle and even hijack,
Drink up me hearties, Yo-ho!”
Even though they were singing about all the bad things that they do, Seonghwa couldn’t help but smile and mouth along the words. He knew he could never sing with them… But he could pretend, and that’s enough for him. He won’t even sing for Hongjoong. Ever. He promised himself that. He will never harm another person with his voice. Still, Seonghwa was so happy. Just to jump around silly with these boys, he’s so happy.
“C’mon Queen, sing wif us!” One of the boys, Hunter, Seonghwa assumed by the Thai fashion the boy had.
Seonghwa shook his head fast, “Ah, I don’t sing. But I will dance!”
“C’mon, ye gots to sing to ‘ave the full show!” Hunter persisted, tugging at Seonghwa’s arms. No one looked like they were going to help, Seonghwa obviously panicked, he couldn’t sing. He cannot. He will never. Seonghwa’s eyes darted towards Yeosang, pleading for help silently.
“Alright Hunter I think that’s enough–” Yeosang softly said, a bit too soft, because Hunter drunkenly giggles, pulling on Seonghwa more, “He ‘as to sing! Needs to!”
Just as Seonghwa was about to cry and scream, pleading for someone to get him away, a voice made the pirates freeze.
“What be goin’ on ‘ere?” Hongjoong using his pirate accent around Seonghwa was very rare, but when it happened, the pirates knew he was angry. Whenever Hongjoong was emotional, he always used his pirate voice.
The pirates stayed silent, which pissed Hongjoong even more, he was practically seething when he saw his wife nearly in tears. “Which one of ye need be in the brig fer the next full moon?” Hongjoong scanned his eyes around the crew, he knew Yeosang was innocent, but he glared specifically at him, “Silence is just as bad.” Hongjoong walked past Yeosang to hold Seonghwa’s hand. He’s never seen Hongjoong so mad, never seen Hongjoong like this… and it was hot.
“Tell me, pretty, who did this to you?” Hongjoong’s voice getting softer and gentle while speaking to Seonghwa almost gave him whiplash, “I-I” Seonghwa couldn’t get a word out, darting his eyes to Hunter, then back to Hongjoong, “It’s my fault, Joongie, don’t be so angry. I just don’t like to sing and–” Hongjoong kisses his wife before he becomes even more of a nervous wreck.
“That’s quite alright, dear, you don’t need to sing to anyone. Your presence alone is enough. You even danced with them, they should be grateful for such a blessing. How about I take a few toes from ‘em so they can’t dance anymore?” Hongjoong reached for his cutlass, being stopped by Seonghwa frantically grabbing his arms, “No, Hongjoong! He’s part of your crew, he’s one of our sons, silly. You cannot hurt him. You hurt any of your crew, and you hurt me too. I will never forgive you for maiming them.” By the way Seonghwa glared at Hongjoong, everyone knew that was not a threat, he would seriously never forgive him if he hurt any of them permanently.
“Yes, ma’am,” Hongjoong nodded, putting his cutlass back in the sheath and kissing Seonghwa sweetly, “You have the best ideas, my love. You always know what’s right.” If the crew knew Hongjoong was whipped for his wife before, they’re a hundred percent sure of it now. Throughout the years, no crew member has seen Hongjoong’s eyes filled with this amount of love in them. They haven’t seen Hongjoong smile for a year, and since they’ve been at Halazia, he won’t stop smiling.
The crew ignores the couple as they return to singing the final part of the song,
“Yo-ho, Yo-ho! A pirate’s life for me!”
The crew bursts into giggles, including Hunter, who will make sure to apologize to both the captain and the queen when he has sobered up. He will forever be indebted to Seonghwa for saving his life and his toes back there. The rest of the night went so well, a little too well, everyone was happy. Hongjoong was almost suspicious, it was too good to be true.
And boy, was he right. That night, the crew stayed at the Mist to get supplies ready for their next mission tomorrow. They were leaving Seonghwa bright and early in the morning, none of them wanted to, but they couldn’t stay there forever. Meanwhile, Seonghwa and Hongjoong went to Seonghwa’s house, spending the last night alone together in the house. They quickly got undressed, sleeping together skin-to-skin. This is one of their guilty pleasures, it’s how they felt the closest. During their sleep, Hongjoong awoke with a grumble of his stomach. Seeing his wife still sleeping on top of him, he smiles, petting Seonghwa’s hair for a while before hearing his stomach growl again, he decides he should get up for a midnight snack. Afterall, he didn’t eat at the picnic because of the stunt Hunter pulled, which he is still fuming about. But if his Seonghwa says it’s okay, he guesses he could let it pass, for now.
Hongjoong rolls them over, making Seonghwa groan and flip to the other side of the bed. He gets up from the bed, wrapping himself in a robe that Seonghwa uses often. Checking that Seonghwa was still asleep, he left a kiss on his head before descending downstairs. As soon as he flicks on the lantern to the kitchen with a match, he lets out a loud screech.
“Who the fuck are you?” Hongjoong hopes he didn’t wake up Seonghwa. If this was a dangerous intruder, he needed to keep him safe.
“Ahh, Seonghwa’s dear husband! I was wonderin’ when I was gonna meet you finally! He tells me so much about you!” The girl didn’t seem threatening and she was dressed… as a maid? Maybe Seonghwa hired her? “Oh right, I’m Seonghwa’s housemaid, Lee Yubin but you can call me Dami. I stay and attend his house while you two are on your trips. He tells me all about you, but never about himself. I always worry about him, how is he on the sea? Is he useful?” She kept throwing questions at him, but none of it made sense. None of this made sense.
“For one, Seonghwa didn’t tell me about a maid. Second, Seonghwa has never been on the sea with me. Who the fuck are you really?” Hongjoong’s mind was reeling.
She pulls out a card, handing it to him, “It’s an ID and proof of hiring, I even have his spare key, I’m not faking, I swear!” She shutters a bit, knowing what this pirate can do to her, despite his tiny stature. “H-He hires me while you two are away-”
“I told you, he doesn’t go with me. Should I trust you whom I just met or my wife who I have been lawfully married to for years?” Hongjoong was pretty much growling at this point, his mind was so confused. Seonghwa would never lie to him.. Right?
“Then I don’t… know. He always tells me that he sets sail with you. You are Kim Hongjoong, correct?” Dami tilts her head, she seems to also be confused about this.
“I am. You are not making any sense, Dami. You look legit, but you’re speaking of gibberish. Nonsense. Absolute nonsense.” Instead of belittling her, he sounds like he's trying to convince himself.
It dawned on him. He was right. His worries were right. He knew a good for nothing pirate wasn’t good enough for Seonghwa. Seonghwa found someone else. Seonghwa loves someone else. Is Seonghwa scared of him? Is Seonghwa scared that Hongjoong would kill him if he left him? He would never do that! As much as he didn’t want to believe it, he almost knew Seonghwa was cheating on him. But who was Seonghwa cheating on him with? If it’s another pirate, Hongjoong is sure to kill that pirate, his family, his crew, his ship, his–
Hongjoong runs up to Seonghwa’s room, panting and fuming with rage. He rips off the robe, cuddling back into bed with Seonghwa. He felt like he was on fire. He was burning. It hurt. He couldn’t breathe. He wrapped his arms around Seonghwa and tightened his grip so hard that it made Seonghwa wake up, wincing in pain. “Joongie?”
“Who is it? Who the fuck is it?” Hongjoong seethed.
“Who is what? Joongie, stop, you’re hurting me…” Seonghwa tried to loosen his grip, mewling when Hongjoong tightened it further. He’s so afraid. If he lets go, Seonghwa will go to that other man. Seonghwa will leave him. “Breathe, baby, breathe. Deep breaths with me, dear, okay?”
Hongjoong nods, maybe if he listens to Seonghwa, Seonghwa will love him. Maybe he’ll change his mind. He takes deep breaths with Seonghwa. One at a time. His mind becomes a bit more clear. But he still wants answers.
“Star, what do you do when I’m gone?” Hongjoong stares deeply in Seonghwa’s eyes, too afraid to move.
“I wait here for your return.” Seonghwa smiles sweetly, but it’s a smile that doesn’t quite reach his eyes. Seonghwa’s left eye twitches a bit, and that’s how Hongjoong knew. Seonghwa was lying.
“Seonghwa. You know what two things I hate in this world?”
“Uhm… Jung Wooyoung and vegetables? I’m confused, Joongie…” Seonghwa looked so concerned, if Hongjoong wasn’t blinded by rage, he would’ve kissed those pouty lips until they formed a smile.
“No, it’s cheaters and liars. I hate them more than anything.” Hongjoong rushed to get clothes on, or at least pants, before storming down the stairs.
“Hongjoong, wait! What’s going on?” Seonghwa rushed after him, putting on a robe as he stumbled downstairs. As soon as he went downstairs, he saw Dami. He knew exactly what happened then. “Hongjoong, Joongie! Please wait! I can explain! I love you! Please!”
Hongjoong only laughed, placing his hand on the doorknob, “Goodbye, Seonghwa.” He rushed out, sprinting to the dock as Seonghwa sprinted after him, yelling his name over and over again.
“Yunho, set sail, now! Do not let him get on the ship!” Hongjoong yelled as soon as he was in ear-shot of the ship. The anchor came up and Hongjoong made it just in time to grab onto a rope and pull himself on the ship.
“Hongjoong, please! Just let me explain!” Seonghwa sobbed. He looked like he was the definition of heartbroken. With mud and tears staining his face, he must have fallen while chasing Hongjoong, he sobbed and screamed, afraid his voice would give out too soon.
“Don’t write to me. Don’t call my name. Don’t search for me. I will never set foot on Halazia again, ye hear!?” Hongjoong yelled out angrily and the crew watched as he threw his wedding ring into the ocean. He turned his back after getting one last good look at Seonghwa. No matter how dirty and sad he was, Seonghwa still looked beautiful. Hongjoong was going to miss him. Hongjoong needed him and he knew that. But Hongjoong couldn’t bear being number two in Seonghwa’s heart. It’s all that random man's fault. Whoever Seonghwa fell in love with, he will kill, he will end everything–
No. Hongjoong can’t blame anyone but himself. He did this to himself. He is the only reason why Seonghwa doesn’t want him. He should’ve given up being a pirate as soon as they wed. He should’ve sent more letters. He should’ve spent more money and showered him with better gifts. He should’ve never let his wood run out. He should’ve–
The first night aboard the Mist was chaos, Hongjoong did nothing but drink and drink until even his pirate-tolerance couldn’t handle it. Despite having amazing sea legs, Hongjoong stumbled up and down around all the halls. Somehow, Hongjoong ended up being surrounded by his six main members cuddling him.
“I just… don’ understand… Why don’t he… Why can’t ‘e love me?” Hongjoong wiped his tears along Wooyoung’s shoulder. “Why does he ‘ave to ‘ave another man? Why? I love ‘im… He… He is my star. He’s mine. He…” The rest of the crew just patted his back as the captain let out his sorrows, none of them knew what to say. Except Yeosang.
“Did you even give him a chance to explain, Captain?” Yeosang crosses his arms. As much as he feels sorry for the captain, he knew that he would not talk to Seonghwa about his feelings even in a situation like this.
“NO! No, Yeosang. He loves another man. I am not good ‘nough for him… I love him. I need him. I love him so much. I miss him already. I can’t do anything without my star… Without my guiding light… But I can’t be…” Hongjoong gulps, “His second choice…”
“This just be unbelievable… Cap’n, we can turn around. Ye knows Mama loves ye more than anyone. Why don’t ye hear him out at least? We still have time–”
“Wooyoung, I won’t hesitate to throw ye overboard. Seonghwa loves someone else. That’s final.” Without another word, the captain stumbles drunkenly back to the captain’s quarters. Hearing a faint click, the crew knew this was going to be their hardest battle yet.
Hongjoong locked himself in the captain's quarters for what felt like months. He never came out of his room, much less, his bed. Seonghwa never left his mind. He thought about Seonghwa now more than his crew. Yunho was a good quartermaster, he could run the ship. Hongjoong was so useless, why hasn’t his crew thrown him overboard yet? Yeosang was even giving him food at night. Maybe he should do it himself. That’s right. He can see land from his window. He could survive there until a rescue ship came. He just needs to run out and jump. He needs to abandon his crew. They’re much better without a lovesick freak of a captain. As soon as he was about to open the door and make a run for it, he stepped on a shiny, silver ring. He looked at it in horror. Slowly picking it up, he knew it was his and Seonghwa’s wedding ring.
Hongjoong couldn’t help but fall on the floor, putting the ring on and cradling it like it was his newborn child. He didn’t know how it got there, afterall, it would’ve sunk to the bottom of Halazia’s shore on the first day he threw it. He didn’t question it, but he was so glad to have it back. It was almost like a sign. A sign he should go back to Seonghwa. To claim what’s rightfully his. Wiping his tears, he went to his desk. Every bone in his body was cracking every time he moved, he hadn’t moved for so long, it seems his body forgot exactly what it means to live.
He sat at his desk, drawing maps over and over again and writing letters to his beloved like a madman. “I need to see him. I need him. I can’t do this without him.” He looked at Aurora, his bird was also missing Seonghwa. By now, he usually would’ve sent a few letters to Seonghwa, so Aurora could see him. It’s been months since Aurora has even heard Seonghwa’s name. She was so sad, even repeating “Star, star” in her voice in the middle of the night. The loss of Seonghwa had an effect on everyone. He knew he had to get him back.
Tomorrow, he decided, tomorrow he will ask Jongho to abandon the mission and go straight to Halazia. Back to his spouse. Hongjoong smiled, watching outside as the sun slowly set. What he didn’t know of, though, was the commotion going on right outside his door.
~~~
“Gunners, fire!” San yelled, looking at the ship right next to them. Aiming at the pirates trying to cross onto the Mist by swinging ropes. After getting most of them and blowing a few holes into the ship, San calls the brutes, “Gunners, reload. Quickly! Brutes, hurry! Either cross ship or get yer fuckin’ ass out ‘ere and kill ‘em!” San screamed as he knocked an elbow into the enemy's pirate, trying to sneak attack him.
Jongho kept running around, writing down information of what was going on to report back. He reported every little detail that happened. The quartermaster, on the other hand, was frantically defending himself and the main crew members, hoping that most of the crew could handle themselves in this fight. The enemy’s ship doesn’t seem too skilled, seeing as no cannons have hit the ship yet, but damn there were so many of them. Seriously, how did they feed this many pirates? Maybe Yunho spoke too soon because as soon as he finished that thought, a cannon fire attacked them directly. “Fuck!”
Shrieks rang out through the ship, every pirate becoming more and more nervous. Wooyoung and his crew went straight to the issue, trying to fix it up before it became a major problem. The next thing they heard, though, could’ve never been imagined.
“While up aloft in storm, from me his absence mourn,”
A beautiful song surrounded each pirate. Making all of them stop and take a deep breath. Shit, they knew exactly who was going to win this fight, and it wouldn’t be either of the pirate crews.
“And firmly pray arrive the day he’s never more to roam,”
Hongjoong panicked. He didn’t know what to do. He didn’t want to go outside, he didn’t want to disrupt the crew, but fuck, the only wax they had was in Hongjoong’s room. If he wanted his crew to survive, he would have to go out and give it to his crew. As the singing began, he went around his room frantically, searching for the wax. He needed to put it in his ears but… this melody. It sounds so good. It sounds so familiar. It sounds like Seonghwa.
“My heart is pierced by Cupid,”
“Aurora, take this, give it to every member of the crew, I’ll be there soon… I just… really, really love this melody…” He only listened for a second longer before plugging his ears with the wax, missing the soft sounds of the siren’s song even more. But he had to outlast this for his crew. He stormed out of his quarters. Only having half the wax because he had given the other half to Aurora, he gave the first pieces to Yunho. The next pieces to San. And then he searched around for Jongho, having found him about to go overboard because the siren’s song was too enticing, “Jongho!” Yunho yelled, pinning him down while Hongjoong stuck pieces of wax into his ears.
“I disdain all glittering gold,”
“Fuck. We ‘ave to be quick. We could lose so many. Be quick. Take some and hurry.” The demanding voice of the captain made everyone’s nerves go away. If Hongjoong was in charge, they would be alright. Everyone would be alright.
“There is nothing can console me,”
The crew ran around, throwing some enemies overboard while giving wax to each crew member of the Mist. What they didn’t notice was that the enemy ship had turned around slowly, heading straight for an ice glacier. “Look!” Jongho yelled, even though no one could hear him with the wax still covering their ears, so he decided to do some jumping jacks and flailed his hands, pointing to the ship. No one aboard the Mist understood what was happening. More importantly, where the hell was Yeosang? He was supposed to be up top at the crows nest, so why couldn’t anyone find him or remember where he was?
“But my jolly sailor bold,”
A few of the crew members went to go look for Yeosang, while the rest of the crew watched the enemy ship go closer and closer to the iceberg, before finally hitting it and exploding. The gunpowder aboard must've reacted to something and caused the ship to become nothing but ashes, but the crew had no time to wonder about that. Hongjoong slowly took out the wax in his ear, checking to see if the siren was still targeting them. He was prepared to hear that beautiful melody again, but nothing came. He motioned for the rest of the crew to take out their ear plugs as well, sensing no danger.
As soon as Hongjoong was about to open his mouth to apologize, a brute, Seeun, yelled out. “Cap’n! We gots the siren! She as p’etty as e’er.” He smiled, looking proud. Sirens sold for a lot, every bit of them, they could milk this siren for a while as long as it was gagged. “Though, dunno how she survive without water.”
Hongjoong snapped his head at that, “Where she be?”
“Down in the brig, Cap, tied and gagged.”
Hongjoong never ran faster, he needed to see just who endangered his crew. And maybe satisfy his own curiosity. He ran across the ship, many pirates stopping him to say “Welcome back,” or praising him for the wax trick. Thankfully, he didn’t lose much of his crew, if any. He’ll have to see the reports from Jongho before he makes that call, though. When Hongjoong reached the brig, he felt his heart quicken. He stepped in carefully, he didn’t hear anything or see anything. The siren should be in the last cell, then, the biggest one. Depending on the tail size, he probably needed it. Capturing sirens wasn’t easy, it was shocking how a brute could capture a siren. But, either way, the captain made his way down to the last cell. If his heart quickened earlier, it surely has stopped due to the sight in front of him. Nothing could have prepared him for this.
The siren was beautiful, no doubt. His blue and silver tail taking up most of the cell. Most sirens would be flailing everywhere, using their tail to bang on every surface, even with their hands tied. But no, this wasn’t any siren. This was Park Seonghwa. This was his spouse. This is the man he married.
“Seonghwa.” Hongjoong didn’t know the tone of his voice, he didn’t want to. He was having a mix of emotions. Confusion, anger, relief, every emotion swarmed him. But most importantly, love surrounded him. Pure love for this siren. Not because he was a siren, not because of his song, but because this is Seonghwa. This is the man he loves. “My love, look at me, please.”
Seonghwa lifted his eyes slowly, tears streaming down his cheeks, he didn’t dare move. He didn’t know how Hongjoong felt about him right now. “Fuck, where be me keys,” the pirate grumbled while the siren grunted, throwing a glare at the pirate. As if he was saying ‘language’.
Hongjoong responded to the grunt with tears, he was so happy to have his Seonghwa back. He could have never imagined the way he would get Seonghwa back would be in his brig in this non-human state, but he wasn’t complaining. He was just happy to have his wife back. “I’m sorry, love, I got frustrated.”
Hongjoong dug in his pockets more and found the right key to the cell, he fumbled a bit, his hands shaking from pure excitement. Once he got the door open, he flung himself at the siren, silently crying. The siren was frozen. He didn’t know how to react. With the gag on, he couldn’t even voice his concerns.
“I’m sorry, Seonghwa. I’m so sorry. I need you. I do. I’m useless without you, I’m nothing without you.” Hongjoong cried into Seonghwa’s shoulder, holding the siren close, scratching his bare back in an attempt to make him stay. Seonghwa just rubs the gag against Hongjoongs neck, no doubt giving a ‘kiss’ through the cloth. Hongjoong suddenly remembers the gag and gasps, “I’m sorry, love, I’m so, so sorry…” He removes the siren's gag, staring at his beautiful eyes. This wasn’t just the siren’s beauty capturing him, it was Seonghwa’s beauty. His wife’s beauty.
“You’re not useless without me, Joongie.” Seonghwa smiles a toothy grin. In his siren form, his teeth looked massive and sharp, like he could bite someone’s head clean off. “I was so proud of you tonight, you did such a good job, my Joongie.”
Hongjoong felt so guilty. This is what Seonghwa meant by being with him on the sea. This is what Dami meant when she said Seonghwa would leave with him. He was so wrong. So, so wrong. “I thought… I..”
“Shhh Joongie, let me hold you, let us talk later, okay? You need some rest.” Seonghwa gently patted his back. Hongjoong just cried and sobbed, “This isn’t a dream, right? You’re real?” Seonghwa giggled at his cute husband, he used his sharp claws to pinch Hongjoong lightly, trying his best not to draw blood. “I’m real, baby.”
Speaking of blood, Seonghwa was covered in it. Wounds obviously showed that Seeun had stabbed and punched him multiple times. And by the state of Seeun, Hongjoong knew Seonghwa didn’t try to fight back even once. Afterall, the crew members were their family. Seonghwa promised to never hurt his family. But he also promised to never use his voice to harm humans… But it was self defense. He just needed to protect his husband.
“S-Seonghwa…” He sat up quickly, afraid of touching the siren’s wounds.
“I’ll be okay, it’s just a few scratches. Seeun was so happy. He didn’t recognize me… but it’s okay, he was such an amazing fighter. It makes me happier… Feeling that he is safe even alone.”
Hongjoong just stared into his wife’s eyes. “How are you… so perfect?” Hongjoong took a deep breath, he couldn’t believe this. He couldn’t believe that Seonghwa was a siren, much less, the nicest siren he will ever encounter. Even when his instincts are probably screaming at him to chew Hongjoong’s head off, he’s here caring for his crew members and if they could defend themselves… Hongjoong regrets ever letting this man–fish?--go.
“I-I’ll get a doctor, Wooyoung is our main doctor, uhm, we don’t have an official one, but Wooyoung is pretty good.” Hongjoong tries to stand but Seonghwa just shakes his head. “I’d grab you and tell you not to, but I’m kinda tied up right now.” Seonghwa giggles and grins with those pearly white teeth. Even with this monstrous form, he looks devastatingly beautiful.
Hongjoong looks down, crouching and about to get rid of Seeun’s not-very-tight knots, his eyes catching on Seonghwa’s hands. Fingernails replaced with talon-like claws. But his ring finger still held their marriage ring. “You’re wearing it…” Seonghwa nods, cooing at his cute human. “Even after I tossed mine to the sea?”
“You’re wearing yours too, Captain. Even after you tossed it to the sea.” Seonghwa giggled.
“It was you, wasn’t it? How did you get it to my quarters?” Hongjoong guessed instantly, making Seonghwa smile even more.
“Smart as ever, baby, as soon as you were out of sight, I dove in to grab it and follow your ship. I always do. That’s what I meant by always being with you, because I am. I was always just under your ship. Why else would no big killer ships come to attack you, dear? You thought you were that scary?” Seonghwa giggled again, “I gave the ring to Yeosang. He knows of my siren form. He always met me where he and Jongho… you know… kiss and stuff. It’s really secretive there. Only the boatswain and his boyfriend are allowed.” By the shocked expression on Hongjoong’s face, he could tell he didn’t know of Jongho and Yeosang’s relationship. Oh well, guess his husband is finding out a lot of stuff today.
“Why.. Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Would you tell a siren you were a pirate if you were dressed as a merman?”
“Well no, the siren would eat me–”
“And you could potentially kill me, skin me, or sell me. I had no clue what would happen. And I know you’ve done it… before. That time you were attacked by sirens, they thought I was part of their pod. So, they attacked and.. And you…” Seonghwa gulped, not wanting to continue any further.
“I understand, sweetheart, don’t say anything further. I know. I vow to never do it again, okay? I only did it out of self defense… Just like Seeun now.” Hongjoong knew it wasn’t an excuse, but it was an explanation. “I would let Yeosang treat your injuries, but, uhm, he’s kind of, lost…”
“WHAT!?” Seonghwa, for the first time, shouted. Loudly. It wasn’t a regular human shout, it was a shriek of a siren. Half of the crew managed to come into the brig, pointing their weapons at Seonghwa, prepared for a fight.
“Stop it! Ye fools! Look at him!” Hongjoong pointed towards his crew, “No one is hurt but him, do ye know who ye pointin’ towards?” All the crew take in their surroundings, looking closer at the siren. Fuck. The crew fucked up big time. This was their queen. They could go against the captain, but never his wife. And they just pointed their weapons towards him.
But one question remained: How the hell is their queen a siren!?
“Joongie, it’s okay, they didn’t know. They were doing their job.” The closest crew mate to Seonghwa, Yunho, was met with scratches under his chin. “Doing such a good job, puppy, thank you for protecting our captain.” If Yunho had a tail, it would surely be wagging now.
“Pardon me– Excuse me– Pardon— I SAID PARDON!!” Yeosang rumbled as he launched himself through the crowd, stopping and throwing himself at Seonghwa when he was in reach. “Seonghwa!!! My precious, I’m so glad you’re okay. I went to our spot, I was so worried when those pirates attacked! Who hurt you? I swear that enemy ship is going to be reconstructed and then die by MY hands!” Yeosang kept rambling and hugging Seonghwa tighter.
“Yeosangieeee, I blew up the ship so it’s fine, and no, none of the enemies got me. I’m okay.” Seonghwa smiled but this seemed to make Yeosang even more mad. “So you got hurt by one of our men!? Who was it? Who hurt him?” The crew had never seen Yeosang this angry before. It was more terrifying than the captain. Usually Yeosang is just… Yeosang. But Seeun stepped forward. “I-I did… I didn’t know it was Seonghwa or else I would have–”
“Save it. Kneel.” Yeosang demanded.
Seeun was quick to drop to his knee, lowering his head and putting a hand over his heart, “Queen, I be–”
“Seeun, my son, get up,” Seonghwa calls sweetly, smiling with his vicious grin even though it looked more like a motherly smile on him. “I never want this crew to kneel to me, okay? You are all family to me, not just my husband’s crew. I’m so proud of you, Seeun. You defended yourself and your crew, and for that, I cannot thank you enough.”
A pregnant pause rang out through the Mist. No one would dare speak a word until they heard a faint sniffle coming from the pink haired man. “Queen, mama, I am… so… sorry!!!” Seeun cried like a baby as he lept to hug Seonghwa, just as Hongjoong had before. “Ye so kind… I hurt ye… Would’ve killed if ye fought back. But still, ye be so kind to me…” Seonghwa kissed Seeuns forehead as many times as he could, running his hands down his back.
“You deserve it, Seeun, you are such a good boy. Why don’t you all focus on getting the ship redone, hm? I’m sure Wooyoung would like as much help as he can get.” The crew nodded along and agreed with Seonghwa. With Seonghwa aboard, the crew knew they had all the time in the world to catch up. No matter how many questions they had, they knew they could ask it later tonight at dinner.
As the crew scrambled out–Even though Yeosang put up a fight and said he should stay–Hongjoong remained right beside his spouse, gazing at his beautiful tail in awe. “Every time I see you, I become more bewitched. And it’s not by the siren charm.” Hongjoong laughed at his own joke, smiling even wider as he looked into Seonghwa’s eyes.
“Are you sure it’s not the siren charm? I’ve always been so worried about that– What if you aren’t in love with me and it’s actually–” Seonghwa was cut off with a kiss. It started as short and sweet but turned more heated when Hongjoong bit into his lower lip, signaling him to open up wider.
It was getting hotter by the second, both of them waited so long to have this moment together. The moment they were attached, they couldn’t get away from each other. Hongjoong’s hands traveled lower, untying Seonghwa’s tiny shell-bra before dusting his fingertips over the siren's nipples.
“Joong…” Seonghwa finally let go of the kiss, both of them panting and gasping into each other's mouths. “Please.” He flapped his tail, drawing Hongjoong’s attention to it.
“Star… shit.” Hongjoong couldn’t keep his mouth closed, jaw dropping at the sight in front of him. Whatever he was expecting siren genitalia to be like, it wasn’t this. Two dicks with barbs running down each length stared at Hongjoong, but Hongjoong was focused on the slit below the dicks… A slick, wet opening faced him, inviting him in. It seemed like Hongjoong didn’t need to use any lube, Seonghwa was already wet enough to last them a lifetime.
“Is it… is it okay? I can switch back to my human form if you don’t want– AH–” Seonghwa was once again cut off as Hongjoong’s tongue dove right into the slick, running his tongue up and down the opening, teasing him by never slipping it inside, just around the opening. “Hongjoong– Hongjoong, please… Captain…” He dug his nails into Hongjoong’s hair, gripping it as if his life depended on it.
“Inside.. Wan’ it inside…” Seonghwa mewled and squirmed, arching his back like a cat when Hongjoong finally slipped his tongue in, a finger joining slightly after. “Feels s’ good… So good, Joong. I need it. I need yOU–” His siren scream could be heard from miles away, he only hoped that his crew knew better than to come and check on the two weds. “Right there!” Hongjoong kept thrusting his finger into that spot, another finger coming in to assist him and his tongue.
Seonghwa kept squirming, gripping Hongjoong’s hair tighter and thrashing around. “‘M gonna cum, Joongie, c’mon, make me–” Every sensation that was pleasing his body stopped abruptly. Seonghwa cried, tears flowing instantly as his orgasm was cut short. “Why? Why, Joongie?” His pouty lips looked divine. Hongjoong knew he had to ruin him.
“Not yet, darling, I’m gonna take my time with this. I want you to cum over my cock. I’ve never seen you like this, Hwa, let me unravel you.” Hongjoong spoke so gently, no matter how desperate Seonghwa was, he nodded. Hongjoong gave him a smirk before kissing him again. This time much softer, although his hands were anything but. He aggressively twisted and pinched Seonghwa’s nipple, slapping at his tits every now and again. It only took a few seconds for Seonghwa to buck his hips up, his two dicks making a wet slapping noise against his stomach. Hongjoong took the hint and smiled, backing away slowly, “You want me to touch here, doll?”
Seonghwa nearly came just from the sound of Hongjoong’s voice. “Want it so badly, Joongie. Want my captain to fuck me. Please.” He begs not only with his words, but with his eyes too.
“Since you’ve asked so nicely, I’ll give you anything you want, you just have to come get it.” Hongjoong gestured towards his still clothed dick. Seonghwa panted and scrambled to release Hongjoong from his pants. He took his claws and ripped Hongjoong’s pants in half. Even if he tried, he knew he couldn’t pop the buttons in this form. This was just the quickest way. He looked at Hongjoong through his lashes, a silent demand of ‘Fuck me. Now.’ and who was Hongjoong to deny his lover?
Hongjoong propped Seonghwa up against the wall, making sure he was comfortable before slowly rubbing his tip against the opening. He slid up and down, sliding up a bit more to grind his dick in between Seonghwa’s two. “Shit. You’re so wet, Hwa. Feels so good just rubbing like this…” He kept bucking his hips over and over again while Seonghwa softly moaned, clearly seeking more. “I bet I feel even better inside, Joongie, why don’t you try it?” He said in the most seductive voice he could muster, even though it sounded more desperate than anything.
“Don’t worry, baby, I want it more than anything.” Hongjoong kissed Seonghwa’s forehead, “You look stunning, Hwa. You always do.” Seonghwa giggled lightly, feeling his chest bloom with pure love for his husband. He’s so lucky to have Hongjoong in his life.
“Let’s start, shall we?” Hongjoong takes Seonghwa’s lips in a searing kiss as he pushes the tip in his siren’s folds. “Captain– Captain, Oh my Calypso, feels so good–” Seonghwa kept moaning as Hongjoong kept pushing further. He buried himself completely, grinding slowly into Seonghwa, not exactly thrusting just yet. “No, star, you are the one that feels amazing. You’re so wet but so tight, holy shit–” Hongjoong moaned when he began thrusting, pulling in and out of Seonghwa teasingly. Feeling all of his velvet walls rub against him. As he sped up his thrusts, Seonghwa grabbed the back of his shirt, ripping it apart in an instant. “Fuck, babe, your strength–” Seonghwa wailed when Hongjoong hit a specific spot inside of him.
“That’s it! That’s it, Joong! Harder!” Seonghwa dug his nails into Hongjoongs back, making the smaller man groan in pain and pleasure. Hongjoong thrusted into that same spot, slowing down but hitting harder just as his wife asked him to. Hongjoong kept giving him more, and more, and more until he finally felt like he was going to leak all over. Digging his nails even further, the smell of blood hit his nose instantly. If this were any other time, he would’ve felt sorry for hurting his husband, but right now, he needed to cum. “I’m going to– Please, Captain, let me cum.. Wanna… Wanna cum, please, let me?” Seonghwa begged and scratched all over Hongjoong’s back, almost tearing it to shreds.
“Go ahead, baby, but I’m not stopping. I’m going to finish inside you.” Hongjoong whispered in his ear, breathing hot air onto the older’s face. With permission, Seonghwa finally let go. Cumming from his two dicks, his stomach became covered in… glitter? Hongjoong didn’t have much time to think about it, all he could feel is the tight heat he’s currently pounding into. His thrusts were getting sloppy as he continued to fuck Seonghwa. “Gonna fill you up, hun. Makin’ you mine.” His voice kept growing more of an accent the more he lost himself. At the mention of getting filled, it flipped a switch within. “Yes, yes, mate, please, fill me up. Breed me. Make me yours. Breed me full of your babies, captain, please…” Seonghwa could barely recognize his own voice, the overstimulation reaching his head. Hongjoong didn’t know what Seonghwa was talking about exactly… but he knew it made him so much closer. “Fuck. Fuck. I’m gonna cum, baby. Gonna fill you up so good.” Hongjoong finally spilled inside the siren, watching as his two dicks retracted into the folds and he pulled his own out.
“If I thought you were beautiful before, nothing could compare to you now.” Hongjoong leaned in, kissing his wife so sweetly. He stopped to admire him, looking at the glittery cum adorning his body, his folds still pulsing as if they’re trying to get more cum inside, and his lovers face being so fucked out he could only grin.
“‘M sorry for your back…” Seonghwa mumbled, smelling the blood and suddenly feeling lethargic. “I can… lick it better. Siren’s saliva… helps…” Hongjoong chuckled, grinning at the sleepy state his spouse is fighting against.
“Can I pick you up baby? Let me get you situated in our quarters, okay?” Seonghwa could do nothing but nod, feeling his husband pick him up and kiss his forehead.
Everything was so perfect. Seonghwa was happy with every little moment with Hongjoong, even the hard ones. He knew he was loved, safe, cared for, and it was all thanks to Hongjoong.
“One question though… Can male siren’s get pregnant?”
Well, everything was almost perfect.
