Chapter Text
The apartment was huge, and wasn't half bad if you're being honest. The kitchen was great and when you were shown the place they had actual cookies, you had to pass but it's nice to see that was coming back into style. The living room was connected to the dinning area and was large enough to host proper parties if you knew enough people. There were also two bedrooms, a master with a rather large bay window. The smaller room had a regular window, which was fine, it'd be turned into an office anyway. But the bathroom, this was the main event! The shower was a pretty standard sliding glass door, but the tub was a separate fixture. It was deep enough you could properly soak your entire body, maybe even two, if you had someone.
You stood in the livingroom with the apartment building owner, an older man. He was friends with you 'mother' and had no issue giving you the place for a steal! Although, he did seem a little more... stubborn, since you'd last seen him. He ended the conversation with a warning, and a rather unpleasant one at that.
"Just be careful wandering the halls, I know you have your heart set on this place because of your mother. But I'd hate to see her upset because one of the... things staying here hurts you." He was referring to the monsters, which were the real reason you were here. You didn't care for his warning or tone so you sent him on his way.
"My mother knows I can handle myself, I need to get unpacking now. Thank you for the tour and your help." You walked him to the door, your smile feeling strained as he continued.
"Of course! Any daughter of Christina is a welcomed occupant here. Do tell her I send my regards, I haven't spoken to her in ages." He smiled fondly and you couldn't help the small ting of guilt.
Truth be told this man didn't know your mother, he knew you. But he was much younger then, and you looked different enough. If you remembered correctly he had quite the crush on you back then, and he wasn't bad looking. He just had a sour heart, and seems that didn't change... Now that you're seeing him again after forty years you can see you were right in not pursuing him, the years had not been kind. And his heart certainly didn't get any sweeter.
"Of course! I'll be sure to let her know, bye now." You closed the door as he said a quick good bye. Turning around to see your apartment, you felt giddy. You hadn't been to Ebott in about thirty years now, and you excited to see what's changed!
But mostly you were excited to meet a proper monster! You plopped down on your couch before pulling out your phone, clicking on the video Otto sent you again. It wasn't much but it was so cool! You watched as a tiny kid and several monsters walked through the town, listening to Otto laugh and yell to you, explaining what's happening. When it ended you pressed the call button, it's been awhile and he should still be here.
"Hello?" His voice rang through and you couldn't help but smile.
"I'm home, are you still in Ebott?"
"I knew you'd couldn't resist. Yeah, I'm at the usual spot, will be for a few hours. Remi and Elelyn are here too." You could hear two hellos from the back ground.
"Wow, sounds like everyone's gonna he in Ebott." You started to gather some things preparing to meet up with everyone.
"Can you blame us?!? Real life monsters are here and! The humans are excepting them! The others are talking about having a council meeting! We might be going public too!" Evelyn was practically yelling into the phone, her accent mesmerizing as always.
"Do they also drink blood? Eat human flesh? Have weird powers that they can only chalk up to 'magic'?" Your tone was bitter, you know they're excited. But they're also younger than you and while you hate to be a killjoy, you know what false hope leads to.
"Calm down (Y/n), it's just a rumor. And apparently they do have magic, they don't eat humans though... They eat magic? Or something like that..." Otto was always good at changing the subject. He's almost as old as you are, so he's pretty good at defusing you.
You sighed as you pulled on your long gloves, the sun was still pretty high and you're not looking for a sun burn. Slapping on your sun hat you opened your appartment door, pupils shrinking as the bright light poured in over the railing of the hall balcony.
"I'm leaving now so I'll chat more when I arrive, is anyone coming?" Its rare vampires hang out in one place, they're usually pretty territorial. But this happens to be your territory, and as the third oldest vampire still alive they know not to start shit. That plus the excitement of monsters, everyone seem pretty distracted.
"Not everyone, I think Silas, Ezra, and Cecily said they were gonna show." That made you stop in your tracks, Silas and Ezra were common to show up but no one's seen Cecily in easily a hundred years, she's the oldest standing vampire and her presence is always something serious.
"Noted, I'll see you guys soon." Not your calmest hang up but they'll live, judging by the small sea of byes they didn't notice your tight response.
You pulled the door closed behind you and turned for the elevator, pulling up direction on your phone. You stopped abruptly when you knocked into someone, stepping back and looking up you're greeted with a rather tall skeleton. He was only an inch or two taller than you but that alone was rather impressive in your book.
"WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING HUMAN." Okay, loud. He side stepped you and you watched in amazement as he moved on his own, a smile pulling at your lips as he knocked on the door next to yours. Your neighbor is either a monster or friends with at least one, awesome!
You skipped to the elevator and eventually down the street as you walked to the small diner. It was nothing fancy, just the one spot in town vampires liked to congregate. It was still in town but out of the way enough people rarely visited.
It was a short walk and as you opened the door you immediately spot your friends in a booth in the back, away from all windows. You scooted into the booth as everyone laughed their assessment off.
"What did I miss?" You took off your hat as Otto acknowledged your question.
"Fuckin, Remi tell (Y/n) what you just said!" He was weezing as he spoke.
"So we're talking about our 'current names' and for this generation I picked Johnald." Remi looked so proud of himself and you had a hard time holding in the giggles. It wasn't so much the name as it was the way he puffed out his chest and gave duck lips as he answered.
"Whay Johnald??? The whole point is to blend!" Evelyn fell to the floor in her laughing fit and you had to grab her arm to help her back up.
"Eh, I had trouble coming up with anything else, already on my id anyway so what's done is done." He shrugged as he spoke.
"Better than 'Princess' over here." He pointed at Evelyn as her giggled calmed down.
"You didn't." You gave her a questioning look and she slapped down her id which indeed said Princess.
"I've never been able to marry a royal despite my best efforts so I'm just gonna make myself a princess." She smiled proudly at her loophole and Otto chines back in.
"Is your next gen gonna be called Queen?" Evelyn lit up before smiling wildly.
"It is now!"
"Oh Otto it's your turn, who are you this gen?" Remi pointed at Otto who just shrugged before answering.
"Blake, you know like a normal fucking person..."
"Boo, me and Princess got way better names! What about you (Y/n)? You flew in so you gotta have your new id already, what cha got?" Remi gave you a toothy grin, and you had to shrug like Otto did.
"Sorry guys, me and Otto are on the same wave length. Olivia, I'm really into olives right now, I think they're neat." You explained and Evelyn lost it again.
"You picked a name based on Olives??? Wait have you ever eaten an olive? When did olives become food?" You felt a little attacked by Evelyn's comment, you're not that old.
"I've eaten Olives, the ancient Roman's used em and stuff, I'm not that fuckin old, geez." You playfully popped her arm and she laughed.
"Sorry (Y/n)." Her phone started going off and she had to excuse herself. You could hear her speaking in French as she walked away.
"She learned French?" You looked to Remi since they were much closer, but his sudden sour attitude tells you it's not a good thing.
"Yeah, she started dating French people a few years back and insists her soulmate is in France."
"Thought he was in Rio?" Otto laughs and Remi scowled.
"He was, then he died and now he's 'reincarnated in France' and she's gotta find him. I don't get why she just won't date Vampires." He fiddled with his watch and you can't help but snort.
"You mean why she doesn't date you?"
"I didn't day that (Y/n), don't go doin that shit. Speakin of you don't date vamps either, what's up with that?" Otto left for the bathroom, he's been part of this chat before and hates it everytime.
"Well, for one. I know all the vampires and non of you suit my fancy, you forgot I've actually met everyone." Remi hums at your answer and decides to drop it this time, instead of arguing he stands up.
"Anyway, it was good seeing you but I gotta jet. I'll catch ya later. Yeah?" You nodded and he walked off, large hoodie going up to protect from the sun.
Evelyn and Otto come back but don't stay long before they both have to head off too. Seeing no point in staying at the diner alone you decide to stroll around town, the clouds were out so you had more time then usual to be outside in the day.

Chapter Text
It took you a few months to actually get here from the corner of the world you've been hiding in, and in that time monsters have been able to open their own businesses.
It was pretty cool to walk around and just see all the new creatures walking around, you popped into one of the shops and had a look around.
It mostly looked like junk, a few small treasures amongst the trash. Nothing for you though, you had a bad habit of hoarding. With being able to live forever you realized you didn't need to buy every single thing that caught your eye.
It was so painful but you knew someone else would eventually come to own it and who knows maybe they'll put it up for sell and someone else will buy and resell it and then it can finally be yours!
For now you'll have to find another monster shop, the nick nack store was not a smart choice on your part. As you stepped out you noticed the clouds starting to disappear, fuck.
While the hat and excess clothes helped they weren't full proof, the sun still got you it was just, less? If that makes sense.
You turned the street corner to see some humans harassing a monster, they all stood outside a small shop with signs but now they were solely focused on some poor monster with no arms. Like they didn't have it bad enough.
"The fuck are you supposed to be anyway? A fucking lizard?" That's rude, guess that's your cue.
Without skipping a beat you stepped up behind the small kid, scooping them into your arms and looking the bigot in the eye.
"Clearly they're a child, the fuck are you supposed to be?" The kid looked shocked but didn't protest, he just hissed at them.
Monsters hiss, noted.
"The fuck are you helping it for? You some kinda traitor to your own kind?" He sneered and you scoffed at him.
"You some kinda advocate for humans? What did he even do?" You shifted so you could hold the kid on your hip, your other hand resting on your free hip as you spoke.
"Looks like we got some kinda monster fucker boys, maybe we should show you how good humans are and you'll come crawling back." He got closer and you cringed, moving your hips with the kid on it further away from his foul mouth.
"Dude, there's a kid here cool it."
"Little shits not gonna die from hearing about human dick-" You cut him off before he could even finish, yelling as loud as you could.
"Pedophile alert! Some freak fuck wants to tell this kid about his dick! Pedo alert!" You screamed, smiling at him.
The shocked expression the fucker made was sweet as honey, he sneered and backed off. The rest of the protesters didn't approached you but they didn't stop protesting either.
You set the kid on the ground and smiled. "Hey kid, you okay?"
"I'm fine lady, I didn't need your help!" Well that threw you off.
"My bad, didn't look to good from where I was standing." You stood up straight and smiled again, the kid did not look impressed.
"What ever, maybe next time get a better look before barging in, I can handle myse- Hey!" Before you could turn around something slammed into the side of your face, your hat getting knocked off as your neck snapped rather harshly.
You body fell to the ground and you could hear yelling, but the sun was beaming down on you and now you were properly pissed. You managed to stand yourself up, stumbling as you went.
"Oh, the bitch can take a hit." You're not sure who spoke, everything was hazy.
Getting you neck snapped always made things a little fuzzy.
"The fucks up with your neck?" That voice sounded like the fucking pedo you just ran off.
What did he just hit you with?
You wanted to look up but your neck was broken so your head just kept flopping around.
"What's wrong bitch? Did it hurt?" You could hear him move to swing again, this time you were ready.
You caught the object with one of your hands, fingers sliding down the side.
He hit you with a wooden bat, this fucking asshole.
Your fingers began digging into the wood. It snapped and the attacker grunted, you held onto a hand of wooden shards while the rest clattered to the ground.
Fuck, the sun hurts.
This time you attacked, he started it after all. You clicked your tongue a few times, his vibrations telling you exactly where to hit.
You reached out with your free hand, grabbing his neck. You raised the hand holding bat shards and slammed it down into his face, immediately the smell his blood and his screams filled the air around you.
Dropping him to the ground you moved your hand to your face, licking a few drops from your fingers. You could already feel the small amount of blood helping to heal your neck.
"Fucking crazy bitch! My fucking eye!"
You could hear some others come and grab him before scuttling off. You could feel the back of your neck burning, shit.
Your body felt heavy, and before you could react you were on your hands and knees. The burns on your neck and back were painful, the skin beginning to bubble.
You could see the kid running around frantically, as their figure vanished from sight you fell fully to the ground. Your own weight too much on your scorched limbs.
At least their okay, the sun would be down soon and you could go home.
For now, a nap sounds like a really good idea.
As your eyes fluttered open you immediately felt soft cusion under you, and saw a purple and black ceiling above you.
What the fuck?
You sat up and looked around. Your head hurt, but at least your neck had healed. Thank fuck, last time your neck snapped it took almost a full week to heal back.
You stood up and stretched, you bones popping in several places before you properly looked around.
It was a café, a spider themed café. The kid was running up to you, their eyes wide.
"Y-You're up! Muffet! Muffet she got up!" They ran off again and you just kinda stood there.
When they came back a spider lady followed, Muffet if you had to guess.
She was an attractive lady too, small and slender, dressed in a style similar to gothic lolita. Her skin a pale lilac, hair tied back in long twintails.
Was it hot in here all of a sudden?
"This is Muffet, she helped me get you in here and healed you up!" The kid seemed way more excited now than before, maybe Muffet's important to them.
"Hi, I'm Olivia. Thanks for helping me." You held out your hand.
"Olivia." Her and the kid looked at eachother before looking back to me.
"Yes dearie, but I actually came over to tell you if you're not buying, you gotta go." She gave a smile and shrugged, her calm demeanor never wavering.
"I-I could only offer enough for her to let you stay til you woke up...." They looked so ashamed, what exactly do they mean by that.
"What did you have to offer?"
"A favor, that's how monsters operate, dearie. If you want something, you give something. And with this ones age and lack of arms, they don't have much they can give." Muffet looked down at the child and you frowned.
"Shouldn't I owe the favor, you helped me." The kid looked at you like you'd just asked for death instead of cake.
Muffet however looked rather pleased with the development.
"Well, that can certainly be arranged." She hummed, tapping her cheeks.
"Wait! Then I'm still gonna owe you something! I don't wanna owe a stranger a favor!" The kid stomped and you sat down to think for a second.
"Well, I saved you and you got someone to save me. But if you called an ambulance I'd have to pay the bill not you. You favor was getting the help, paying for the help is on me." You explain and the kid looked at you crazy before mulling it over.
"I- I guess that makes sense." They looked up at Muffet. "So, I'm free to go, yeah?" Muffet nodded and they smiled. "Alright! Later!" And they ran off.
"Now then, about my favor. Huhuhu." She smiled and you felt very nervous. And flustered?
Turns out her favor was free labor, which all things considered wasn't too bad.
She talked it over with you and gave you a schedule, she also warned if you didn't show she'd send her spiders after you. It was only a week of work so it was fine, you were about to leave but the sun was still out.
Almost set, but you lost your hat and didn't wanna risk it.
"Hey, if I buy something can I stay here longer?" Muffet gave a puzzled look from behind the counter and you smiled awkwardly. "I'm uh, allergic to the sun. That's why I passed out." She hummed.
"Hm well, if you want to stay you'll have to buy a pastry." You looked down and sure enough there was a case full of things you can't really eat... You frowned and Muffet spoke up again.
"Don't like sweets?" You shook your head trying to think of an explanation.
"Thats not it, I um, I'm just not feeling well enough to eat is all, I can still buy one though." Muffet laughed and bagged up a random muffin for you.
"It's all monster food, it's infused with healing magic. Eat up it'll make you feel better." She propped her head on two of her arms and watched you expectingly.
You cringed but complied, opening the bag and pulling out the muffin. You took a bite and were surprised.
Normally you're greeted to the taste of sand and mud. But this genuinely tasted like blue berries, or something close to what you remember blue berries tasting like.
As you chewed you could feel it dissolve in your mouth and your eyes nearly popped out at Muffet.
"I-it disappeared!" Immediately taking another bite as Muffet laughed.
"Yes dearie, monster food transfers into magic. Humans can't live on monster food alone, but it's always a pleasant treat." Her smile widening.
"Could I buy a dozen?" You were still chewing as you asked and Muffet hummed as she bagged your order and rang you up.
You paid for your treats and stowed them away in your backpack. You had to tell the others about monsters food, this was amazing!
After chatting for awhile the sun had finally settled, casting the streets in comforting shadows.
You said your good byes and headed off, pulling your arm gloves off and tucking them away as well. With the sun gone there was no need for them now.
Most of the shops were closing which sucked but all well, it was almost time for your show anyway.
As you walked up to your apartment building you noticed some humans standing near by, they were just huddled in a shadowed corner.
You ignored them and proceeded to the elevator, as the doors started closing one of the humans, a man, stepped inside with you.
He made no move to press any buttons, just stepped inside and looked ahead. The ride up to the second floor was short but the tension was thick.
You stepped out and he followed. You turned the corner and, oh look at that, he followed.
Your room was the second to last on this hall, so when you reached the door it was pretty obvious what this guy was doing.
But you like games.
You stood in front of your door for a second before turning around, he clearly didn't expect that.
"You need something?" He frowned and looked over the balcony, like he didn't just follow you to your apartment.
"Yo, anyone home?" You waved one of your hands in front of him and he grunted, snatching it from the air.
He was trying to squeeze your wrist but it wasn't very effective.
"You're shacking up with one of those monsters, aren't you?" You just stared blankly at him.
You are a grown woman, why do you need to live with someone???
"Ha, not that's it's ANY of your business, but I live alone. Asshat." You pulled the arm he was holding behind you so he'd be forced to stumble into your space.
The two of you were inches apart. Your taller body allowing you to tower over the man.
"Bullshit, why would you choose to live here? This shit was built for those freaks." You rolled your eyes, my how rumors fly.
"Actually the owner was friends with my mom, this building has been around since before you were born. So chill dude." He grunted, a low smart ass leaving his lips before his expression changed drastically.
He suddenly let go of you and started to back away, clear fear and panic in his eyes. You hadn't even done anything yet, but there he goes. Running back down the hall.
Eh, you'll take the win.
"Ha, yeah bitch get lost!" You flipped him off and turned around, only to bump into the same bones from earlier.
Stepping back you smiled. "Howdy neighbor!" The tall, sharp skeleton didn't seem to share your sentiment.
"I AM NOT YOUR NEIGHBOR, AND MY NAME IS PAPYRUS." He crossed his arms and proceeded down the hall, weird guy.
Sucks to know your neighbors not a skeleton though...

Chapter 4: The Rage of a Vampire
Summary:
You learn your neighbor is a bit of an asshole, that's fine though. Revenge is always sweet, right?
Chapter Text
You were woken up by the loudest noise in existence.
Screaming, yelling and fucking guitars. It was literally shaking the wall of your bedroom.
You groaned as you slid out of bed, banging on the joined wall and yelling.
"Dude! Turn it down!" Surprise, surprise, he's laughing at you.
Fucking ass wipe.
You dropped back onto your bed in defeat, now the cheap ass rent on this big ass room made a ton of sense...
Fucking neighbors...
You were about to try banging again when you felt your phone going off. You answered and tried to hear Otto on the other end.
"Hello?"
"..." Yeah you have no idea what's he's saying.
"My neighbor is really loud I can't hear you!" He hung up, guess he didn't wanna play yell into the phone. He did text you though.
-Otto
Meet at park, u know which.
Short as always, but it works.
You got dressed and grabbed your umbrella, you needed to buy another sun hat at somepoint...
You stepped outside and could still hear the loud music from outside, hopefully it's off by the time you'd get back.
Groaning you head to the elevator, it was still early morning so not many people were up yet.
Which suited you just fine.
You came up on the park and could already see Otto sitting at a bench, a book in hand.
"Yo!" You yelled out and he looked over smiling happily.
"Hey (Y/n), took you long enough." He looked up at your umbrella and started snickering.
You flicked the rim of his comedically large cow boy hat in response.
"Hey, cow boys are coming back into style! That thing looks weird as he'll, where'd your hat go?" You sat down next to him, the shade of a near by tree plus your umbrella was a nice break from the sun.
"Helped a monster kid and I lost it in the scuffle. Guy broke my neck so I was extremely out of it." You shrugged and adjusted your long gloves, they were starting to get too loose to stay up.
You'll need to buy new ones soon...
"Really? You should start acting like you're down when that happenes, did the paramedics notice or did it fix before they got there?"
"No paramedics, a monster lady healed me actually. Oh! I also brought these~" You opened your bag to reveal the muffins and Otto grimaced.
"(Y/n), you know we can't reall-"
"No no, trust me, eat one!" He looked doubtful but took one, you watched excitedly as he took a bite.
And, 3... 2... 1...
"It fucking dissolved!" He looked so bewildered, the comical expression making you laugh.
"Monster food, apparently you don't digest it, it just transfers into magic or something!" The two of you talked for a while, Otto in astonishment about being able to eat again and you telling him directions to Muffet's.
As well as mentioning you'd be working there for a week for free.
"Shit really?" You nodded smiling.
"Yeah, apparently monsters use a favor system for most stuff, and it was either I pay the favor or the armless kid I saved which... didn't sit right with me. Besides, it's the least of my problems right now." You sighed, dropping your head into your hands.
"Oh? And what's the most of your problems right now? You're usually able to handle anything." Otto puts a hand on your shoulder, you look at him sigh as you start ranting about your neighbor.
You explained the music and how frustrating it is that he just laughed when you asked, oh so nicely mind you, for him to turn it down. Otto gave you a sly smile.
"Wanna get back at him?" Your eyes lit up at his suggestion, Otto was usually so calm and serious. Now he's the one suggesting mischief, guess you are getting old.
You nodded excitedly as the two of you discussed a plan, nothing too fancy. Just a little spook party with four vamps. You called Remi and Evelyn to meet up with you guys and filled them in on the plan.
You all stood in your livingroom, getting ready.
"So, are we just spooking the guy? Or...?" Evelyn halfway stripped and folding her shirt as she posed her question.
"Just giving him a spook, there's four of us, we'd probably kill him if we all fed. Besides I don't need to til tomorrow night." You pulled your pants off, folding and adding them to your little pile on the couch.
"You're still on that once a week shit? Danm, you're better then me." Remi never could go more than three days so that didn't surprise you.
Once everyone was stripped you all took on your bat forms, it took a second for Evelyn and Remi.
They hadn't had as much time to practice shifting, especially Remi.
Otto climbed your curtains and everyone followed, once at a high enough point for take off he opened a small portal.
Normally he can only go places he's been before, but in situations where the layout should be almost identical he can focus well enough to make it work.
As the small sworl of Cyan and black opened in your living room you all launched from the curtain taking flight.
Once inside everyone found a place to perch and taking in the layout, luckily the music was off so noones ears were bleeding.
You scanned around in the dark, clicking your toung a few times. You quickly flung yourself from the curtains to the master bedroom, shifting as you landed at the door.
You put your ear up to the door and could hear snoring from inside, gotcha ass hole.
You stood and turned the knob, pushing the door open and levitating as you shifted back into a bat. The levitation giving you just enough air to fly inside the dark room, you clicked your tongue as you went. Finding his desk and landing gently as the others flew in.
Remi perched on the headboard of the bed, Evelyn following suit. Otto chose the chair next to the desk, always on the safer side of things.
You nodded to Evelyn and she took a deep breath, she focused on her shift.
Her bat form slowly separating into hundreds of bugs, mostly spiders and beetles. They descended down onto the bed as the rest of you jumped from your perches, flying around the room and squeaking loudly.
Your neghbor shot from his place on the bed as the bugs crawled over his form, yelling as he tumbled to the floor. "What the fuck?!"
He landed on his ass and looked up to see three bats screeching over head, instead of fear he mostly just looked confused.
Yeah, that wasn't gonna work.
You decided to fly straight at him, the tips of your wing pointed for his face. It wasn't until you were suddenly frozen in place that it dawned on you.
Human eyes don't glow red in the dark.
You glanced back, as much as you could and saw Remi and Otto were also frozen. You clicked your tounge and the vibrations you got back were of a skeleton.
You could vaguely see him stand, one hand out stretched while the other pinched the bridge of his nose. Nose cavity?
He walked to the other side of the room and opened the window, next thing you knew all three of you were moving outside against your will.
The window snapping shut abrutly, and you could move again. You perched on a tree near by, shifting human as Otto and Remi landed near by.
"That didn’t go as planned..." Remi groaned as he clung to a branch awkwardly in his human form.
"Shit, where's Evelyn?" You noticed she wasn't out here and Otto and Remi go pale.
"She was still bugs, she probably saw what happened and hid. You don't think she'll try again, right?" Otto was starting to freak out and you had to grab his shoulder to keep him from falling out of the tree.
"She can still hypnotize people, she can make him let her out!" Otto looked at the window but only saw the skeleton getting back into bed.
"Mind powers don't work on monsters, someone has to go get her..." Remi was almost yelling as you looked to Otto and he frowned.
"I can only teleport a few times per feeding, that was my last one..."
"I live next door, I can get her in the morning... she'll be fine over night." The three of you shifted into bats again and took off for your open window.
The boys got dressed and headed out, and you promised to keep them posted on Evelyns situation.
The next morning finally came, you could barely sleep and as the sun rises you were already dressed. You threw open your front door and stood at your neighbors.
You felt antsy, of all the dumbshit you guys had done over the years.
Noones ever been left behind before...
You took a deep breath to calm yourself, you still needed a reason to come inside and look. But you had no idea what to say, and just as you were finally starting to calm down someone interrupted your thoughts.
"EXCUSE ME, WHY ARE YOU IN MY WAY?" It was the tall skeleton, he did come here a lot... Maybe he could be your ticket in...
"Oh, I'm just visiting my neighbor, we became friends recently and I thought a visit would be nice." Quick to lie as always, a real skill you'd learned over the years.
"FRIENDS?" He seemed to hardly believe a word of it...
"Yes! We became friends over, our, shared love of music." A long shot but maybe.
"OF COURSE YOU DID. WELL KNOCK OR STEP ASIDE, I NEED TO SPEAK WITH MY BROTHER." Seeing as you were following him in you decided to step aside and he scoffed.
"OPEN THIS DOOR." He didn't even knock... just yelled.
And sure enough there was a much shorter, sleepier looking skeleton.
The taller one went inside immediately, but you hesitated, what do you tell this guy???
"WELL HUMAN, COME ALONG." The tall one ordered looking back.
Seeing as the shorter one didn't seem to care you decided, good enough.
"HUMAN I NEED TO SPEAK WITH MY BROTHER, FIND A WAY TO BUSY YOURSELF. KITCHEN. NOW." The tall skeleton began walking.
The shorter skeleton eyed you but didn't say anything as they stepped away.
As soon as you were out of eye shot you bolted to the bedroom. You clicked your tounge but found nothing.
"Evelyn, evelyn?" You whisper yelled but she didn't show, fuck.
You left the bedroom clicking your tounge around the house when finally you found her, tucked away on top of the living room ceiling fan.
As soon as she saw you she glided down, landing in your arms before scurrying under the collar of your sweater. Clinging to your undershirt like a life line, perfectly still and quite.
The two skeletons returned just late enough to miss her, the taller one saying his good byes and leaving.
The small one closed the door to see you just standing in his living room, you smiled and waved.
"why're you still here?" He just stood there starting at you, and you took that as your cue to leave.
"You're right, I'll be going now, bye!" And you were out the door before he could protest anything, you quickly stepped into your appartment and pulled Evelyn from your shirt.
"You fucking left me there!" As soon as she was in human form she was yelling, throwing on her clothes as she screamed at you.
"Hey, the walls are thin! He might hear you." You tired to calm her down but when Evelyn was pissed.
She was pissed.
"Fuck you (Y/n)! And fuck Remi and Otto too! I can't believe this!" She stormed outside and you followed, turning the corner after her.
"Wait, Evelyn! Where are you going!?"
"Fucking France! I'm done with this bullshit! Fuck you, fuck your pranks, and fuck these fucking monsters!" She didn't mean it, you knew that.
But, it still hurt...

Chapter Text
It was finally sundown, a smile on your lips as you prepared for the night. Everything had been so stressful lately, you needed a good meal.
You stepped into your room, slipping into something a tad revealing.
Just helps the process, some heels, nice low cut dress.
You spun around in the mirror, satisfied with your outfit for the night. Your heels clicked down the hall as you stepped into the elevator, your plans tonight were to just wonder the park, see who you could find before trying the bars.
As you stepped into your usual park you took a look around, looks like you'll be here awhile... You took a seat on a bench and pulled out your phone, maybe some dumb ass would approach you.
Which kinda worked, three dumb asses did show, but they didn't come towards you.
You looked up from your phone at the sound of bigot ass hats near by. You couldn't make out the words, just heard the voices.
Then you noticed the tense body language of the third guy, that and his little animal ears.
And it clicked. You sighed standing up and approaching the group, before you got closer you saw one of the humans attack.
He punched the monster in the face, you frozen up for a second.
Seeing bits of dust fling from him, he fell to the ground and held his face.
The two humans laughing.
He didn't look like he'd die or anything, your guess, the small bits of dust were the equivalent of being punched so hard it broke your nose.
Without a second thought you were running, hands curling at your sides. One of the men turned to face you, before he could speak your fist flew through the air.
You clocked him in the teeth, not your target but it worked. His hands flying to his mouth, blood and a single tooth falling into them. He ran, leaving his friend alone with you.
The other man turned to face you now, leaving the monster alone on the ground.
"You fucking bitch-" You went to punch him but he moved faster, grabbing your arm and twisting it.
The sudden shift of your anatomy had you trapped, you could feel his breath on your neck from behind as he laughed.
"Think you're a tough bitch, yeah?" Oh he was getting cocky, and you could smell the alcohol rolling off his breath.
But you were done with this game, you were hungry.
You twisted your body unnaturally, the bones in your arm shifting and popping out of place. You turned to face him, eyes red with blood lust.
You waited too long, you needed this.
His face was distorted in fear and panic, eyes blown wide, hands still gripping your now mangled arm like a vice.
You parted your lips, your incisors itching as they lengthened. The man yelled as you sank your teeth into him, the sound cut short by the calming effects of your saliva.
You could feel the warm liquid run over your tounge, his struggling slowly stopping as he fell to his knees.
You followed his body down, couching as you drank. He let out small huffs and groans as his mind became fuzzy.
You were about done when someone broke you from your thoughts.
"The fuck are you doing?"
Shit, you completely forgot about the monster.
You removed your teeth, letting them shrink back to their normal size before turning around. Letting the humans body fall to the ground fully, the bite already healing closed.
"Just uh, making sure he doesn't die while falling... I punched him really hard." You tried to be convincing but you were caught off guard.
You should probably drink more then once a week, you wouldn't get so hungry and do stupid shit.
"Right, sure..." His eyes flicked from you to the man on the ground.
He knew you were full of shit, and you could feel it.
You waited for him to say something but he didn't, just lit up a cigarette.
Seeing him upclose you recognized him, he's the cat monster that lives in your apartment, you've never spoken but seen him around.
"Are you okay? I saw the dust and kinda panicked."
"Didn't need your help." You watched as he took a long drag.
Monsters don't like help... noted.
"Looked like you did, besides, asshats need their assessment kicked." You shrugged as you stood up straight, your busted arm stinging at the sudden movement.
"The fuck did you do to your arm?" His face scrunched in discomfort.
"Ah, I think it broke when he uh, grabbed me too hard. Humans are soft, ya know?" He nodded and looked uncomfortable.
"Well, thanks for the help but I'm gonna go. And don't worry I won't say any thing about... this, to anyone." He turned on his heels to leave, but you couldn't just end it here.
"Um, hey-" Before you could finish the first guy came running back, an officer hot on his heels. Great.
"This monster and this freaky bitch attacked us, look my friend is knocked out! She probably killed him!" His voice was grating on your ears.
The cat monster stopped in his tracks, fear in his eyes at the sight of the cop.
"They attacked us, I was just defending myself... Look at my arm!" You quickly shifted so you busted arm was facing the officer, the man missing a tooth gagged.
The cop looked to the cat monster for a statement, when he didn't speak up you stepped in.
"It's okay honey, the cops can help us. We weren't doing anything wrong. Just tell him how we were attacked." You placed a hand on his shoulder as you spoke, his ears flattening back.
"Y-yeah, they attacked us. We didn't do anything, just, just going for a walk." The cat monster managed to follow along but he was still very panicked looking.
"Officer, I'd like to go to the hospital with my boyfriend if that's alright, could I give you my number? In case you have any questions about the incident?" And that sealed it.
The officer agreed and took your number, offering you a ride which you declined. You weren't going to a hospital.
You waved as he arrested the too men, one going willingly still dazed and the other kicking and screaming.
You hooked your good arm with the cat monsters as you walked, the two of you lived in the same building and he didn't look too good.
"Don't you need a hospital?" He didn't look at you, just straight ahead. What had the police done to them for this type of reaction?
"Nah, it'll heal on its own. Besides, figured you'd need someone to walk you home." You smiled when he turned to finally look down at you, his ears still pinned back.
"It's outta the way, I can walk myself." He moved to unhook his arm but you stopped him.
"We live in the same building, so it's no trouble."
"You got some kinda monster fetish? No humans live there..." Rude, but it was good to see him relaxing.
"No! My mom was friends with the owner, my name's Olivia by the way. You?" He gave you the same weird face Muffet and the kid had, do monsters hate Olivia's?
"Burgerpants." You had to do everything in your power to not laugh. You were not prepared for that...
"Just call me BP, ass hole." He jerked out of your hold and lit a cigarette but he couldn't be too mad if he was still walking with you.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I just wasn't ready." You breathed out between laughs, monsters really did have some uncommon names.
The two of you parted before the elevator, BP living on the first floor. As the doors closed you smiled.
Your night was goin great! Or it was...
As the elevator doors opened your coupd already hear the faint yelling music down the hall, a sigh leaving you. You walked to your room, stopping at the door.
Maybe you should just ask him to turn it down, you could try the bat thing again. Fly solo this time...
You stood there for awhile, really thinking over your options. Groaning in annoyance you decided fuck it, turning on your heels and heading back into your room. You'd had a long day and could deal with him tomorrow.
You needed time to think anyway.

Sans POV
Sans was pissed, he'd finally asked his brother what the deal was with the random human he brought over.
Papyrus explained how she ended up coming in with him and the lie she told to get there, it was good to know she was his neighbor though.
Made revenge all that much sweeter.
Considering she was in his house the day after those flying rodents is even more suspicious. And if she didn't mind a little breaking and entering, neither did he.
Sans turned his music up so it'd cover any sounds before imagining the inside of her aprtment, should be roughly the same layout.
Sure enough a shortcut was easy, and he stood in her livingroom.
He creeped over to the master bedroom, slowly opening the door to find it was empty...
The bitch wasn't even home...
Well, going through her shit is also a form of revenge, maybe find something to hang over her head.
Make her leave him alone.
Or find those flying rodents.
So digging through her shit it was. There wasn't much to go through, only a closet with a few things hanging up. He thought about shredding her clothes but that wasn't enough, monsters don't take lies lightly.
He popped open a suitcase he found in the corner of the closet, hoping to find something, anything he could hold over this chicks head.
Seems lady luck was doing him a favor as he pulled out a small wooden box with a lock on it.
Jack pot.
Busting the lock off was no issue with his magic, a small clank sounding as it fell. His grin widened as he flipped the latch up, dieing to know what was inside.
"Ugh..." Sounds like girly was home.
He hadn't heard the door but it didn't matter, her groan of annoyance was alarm enough as he slipped the box under his shirt. He could leave it but it was barried so far back there's no way she'd notice.
He was about to teleport away when she entered the bedroom, he could barely see her through the small crack in the door.
She hadn't bothered to turn on any lights, her skin giving a soft glow as the moon light showered over her form though the window.
Humans may be disgusting creatures but he's always found a strange appeal to them. Especially after learning they all had skeletons inside them, smooth pristine bones, never seen or touched even by the sun.
His eyes lights scanned over her as she closed her bedroom door, her heels clicking as she moved. The short dress she'd chosen to wear out riding up and revealing more of her long legs.
She hadn't looked this nice the last time he'd seen her.
The mattress squicked as she plopped down, leaning forward to remove her heels. Sans couldn't believe his luck, he came over for revenge and now he's getting his own private show.
The shoes clattered to the ground and she stood, Sans's eye lights widening as she gripped the bottom of her dress.
His breath hitched as she pulled it up, slowly revealing more of her skin. With the moon light pouring over her he could almost see three curvature of her spin, his bones making a soft rattling sound at the sight.
While the noise was soft apparently it had given him away, her head snapping to the closet. Sans sucked in a breath as she dropped the dress on the floor and rushed at the small space.
Sans tried to teleport but he was so caught up his magic decided to focus elsewhere.
His eye lights shrunk as the door swung open and a hand flew at him.
"shit!" He tried to recoiled away but she'd successfully gotten her hand into his socket.
As he fell backwards he brought his lovely neighbor with him, her much larger form pinning him in place.
Your POV
You're not sure what you were hung on, but you scared the intruder and now you were both on your closet floor.
Most vampires have great night vision, you are not most vampires...
So you have no idea who this was, what you were stuck on, or what was happening. You clicked your tounge a few times and the familiar outline of your neighbors vibrations came back to you.
Great, guess you can talk to him tonight.
You sat up, trying to pull your hand back but meeting a shit ton of resistance.
"fuckin knock it off!" His voice was low, definitely agitated.
"I'm trying to get free! What am I even stuck on???" You pulled again and he yelled, it sounded pained...
"my fuckin eye socket, now stop!"
"Stop yelling, it's not my fault!"
How did your hand end up inside his socket, you were trying to grab the intruder by their neck. Was he that fucking short!?!?
"oh so it's my fault your hand is in my eyesocket!?" You could feel him shift under you, probably trying to sit up.
"Considering the situation, yes! Why are you even in my house?" You put your free hand on his forehead and tried to pull free again.
"fuckin stop!" He grabbed your wrist with both of his hands.
You used the hand on his forehead to flick him between the eyes.
"Well, how do you think we should get it out? We can't stay like this." He grumbled under you as he thought.
He didn't seem like he was in pain from this as long as you didn't pull.
"you got like butter? or somethin?" He started trying to shuffle out from under you and you followed suit.
Both of you awkwardly standing and stepping out of the closet.
"I don't have butter, but I think I have some dish soap." You started making your way to the kitchen, flicking all the lights on as you passed the switches.
"yer not puttin dish soap in my fuckin socket!" He stopped abruptly and your hand tugged against his socket again, stopping you before you reached the kitchen.
"Well you have a better idea smart ass?!" You're getting fed up with this shit, why is he even here?
He was quiet for a long time, so you tried to move for the kitchen again. The small skeleton still not moving.
With a sigh you used your free hand to pick him up, your arms sliding around his waist before pressing him into your chest and lifting.
"the fuck are you doin?!" He started squirming trying to make you let him go.
"Well you're not moving and don't have a better idea! So I'm going to the kitchen, now stop before I rip my hand out of your eye!"
He was stiller, but still squirmy.
You walked into your kitchen and put the skeleton down by the sink, reaching blindly for the dish soap. Once in hand you opened it and poured a generous amount on your hand.
"fuck! give a little warning next time!"
"Figured the sound of it opening was warning enough, now hold still!" You snapped as you slowly shifted your hand around, the soap seeping into the socket.
You could feel something wet against the bottom of your wrist, it was washing the soap off and making this more difficult.
"Are you crying?"
"my socket's waterin cause you put fuckin soap in it!"
"When we're done you can put soap in my eye, so chill!" With a few more twists your hand popped out, covered in soap and skeleton tears but free at last.
You rinsed it off in the sink, the skeleton doing the same with his socket after you. It was a little funny to watch him hoist his upper half onto the sink and pour water into his soapy socket.
When he finished he slid down, wiping the water away on his shirt before looking up at you with only one eye light glowing.
"so, you gonna sit down or do i gotta stand on a chair?" You hummed before sitting on the floor.
A deal was a deal after all.
You heard the bottle open and could feel the soap pour out onto your forehead. You grabbed the skeleton by the wrist and moved his hand so the soap was in your eye.
"the fuck are you doin now?" He jerked away from you as he spoke.
"You missed my eye, I was helping." You huffed and rolled your eyes, the soap stinging at the movement.
"whatever, we're even now so i'm out."
Your hand shot out and grabbed the fur of his hoodie, pulling him back and into your lap. Not your intended goal but he was light as shit.
"Hold on, I still don't why you're in my house!" You looked down too see look him in the eyes, eye light...
His face was fucking priceless, sockets wide, eyelight small as hell. You can't help but wonder if your hand somehow broke his eye light.
But the best part, his entire skull was a bright red.
Skeletons are cute when flustered. Noted.
"the fuck woman, let me go!" You held him firmly in place, one hand on each of his shoulders.
"No, why are you in my house?"
"why the fuck were you in mine!? i talked to papyrus and he had no idea who you were! said we were friends, what were you doin?" Well, he had you there...
"Fine, get out." You let him go but he didn't make any move to leave.
Instead he shifted around so he was facing you, skull still a cute cherry red.
"no, what were you doin? did you have somethin to do with those flyin rats?" Well he's smarter than he looks, still.
You're not about to tell him shit.
"Flying rats? The fuck are you on about?"
"the night before you showed up i had three flyin rats in my room! im pretty sure you put em there!"
He was full on straddling your lap at this point, one had pointing at you while the other held your shoulder to stabilize his weight.
Despite the odd position and clearly flustered skeleton, the tension in the room with erie. Neither of you backing down.
"I didn't have anything to do with that! I don't even own any 'flying rats'." You swat the finger he was pointing at you.
"what ever, just stay the fuck away from me!" His small form stood up before stopping off.
"Gladly, you fuckin asshat!" You followed him to the door, slamming it closed behind him.
You could hear him slam his own door before turning the music up louder, causing you to scream into the void of your appartment out of frustration.

Chapter Text
You were invited to a halloween party! Papyrus had invited you to his friend, Undyne's place for drinks and the usual halloween festivities. But best of all.
You'd found the perfect costume.
You were practically singing as you hopped out of the shower, you quickly blow dried your hair before getting dressed. The dress was a simple black, corset styled bodice that made a lovely heart shape over your chest. The skirt of said dress was just black puffy tulle.
It was the accessories you were excited for! Fingerless gloves that reached just past your elbows, they were mostly black with simple white bones trailing up the arms. And to match, thigh high socks with the same bones pattern. You paid some simple black heels and were ready for your hair and makeup.
You used some cheap halloween color hair spray to make your hair white and a little chaotic looking, but it was halloween so that's fine...
And for your makeup you chose to do a more sugar skull style, you'd also painted your chest, collarbone, neck and shoulders to complete the skeleton esthetic.
Once you were done you slipped on a long trench coat before heading off, the walk was a little longer then you'd like but a car wasn't really a needed expense in your eyes.
When you knocked on the door you were surprised to see Papyrus all dressed up. He was such a serious guy, but seeing him dressed as skeletor was definitely a fun surprise!
"OLIVIA, I'M GLAD YOU COULD MAKE IT!" He stepped aside and you dropped your coat on the rack, Papyrus's eyes rolling at the sight of you.
"What? We match kinda, it's cool!" You tried to defend yourself but he just scoffed before heading to the kitchen.
"WHAT EVER YOU SAY..." You laughed as he walked off, hands waving dramatically.
Your laughs died down to giggled as you wandered into the livingroom, not many people were here yet. Sans wasn't even hear yet and you were dieing to know what he'd dress up as.
Probably something lazy, like a white t-shirt that just did costume.
Thankfully you didn't have to wonder long, as you took a seat on the couch Sans had made his appearance. And his costume, actually had effort put into it.
His clothes looked old and worn, like they were from the 1600s, properly. And he had a black cape tied around his neck, the underside a bright red. But the best part, he had drawn on his jaw bone, just below his mouth to make his canines look longer. That and the red 'blood' smudges at the corners of his mouth.
Smiling you got up and walked over to him, eager to tease him. You proper your elbow on his skull and leaned into him.
"A vampire, huh? So original~" You chuckled as his eyes racked over your own 'original' costume.
"Said the skeleton, like I've never seen that before..." there was a beat of silence before both of you fell into laughter.
Your taller frame practically folding over the short skeleton. Luckily he had no issues holding up your upper half as the two of you lost your shit.
For a simple get together with a bunch of monsters you didn't know, you had a great time. Swapping stories with everyone and even partaking in some drinking games.
As the night came to a close, Sans found you sitting outside on the porch. Your eyes were closed, head tilted up toward the sky. It wasn't until you felt his cape wrap around your shoulders you even realized he was there.
"You know I can't feel the cold." You didn't even bother to open your eyes, just giggled at his attempt at being sweet.
"Yeah I know! I also know your body temp'll drop and I'll have to deal with your weird half frozen ass!" You could hear how flustered he was, could practically see the cherry glow of his cheeks through your closed eye lids.
You hummed in response, and Sans just grumbled beside you. The moment was nice. It got even nicer when he leaned into you, your arm sliding behind him to rest on his shoulder and pull him closer.
It was casual for the two of you, two touch starved lovers just finding comfort in snuggling under the stars. It wasn't until you felt Sans lean into your neck and nuzzle you with his cheek that your finally opened.
Looking down you can see just how not platonic this really was, how close the two of you had grown. As if he could feel your eyes and hear your thoughts, Sans looked up too.
His eye lights were fuzzy, cheeks flushed red. The two of you leaned into eachother, lips meeting bone. The kiss was slow, curious and unsure. Clearly this was new territory for both of you, but it was a territory you both wanted to explore.
Notes:
Sorry if it seemed kinda rushed, didn't plan on doing anything, then I ended up writing this on my break today... Again it's not Canon, but I hope you guys enjoyed!

Chapter Text
You slept like shit. Your assless neighbor made sure of it, he kept his music blasting all night and day.
Vampires already don't need a lot of sleep, but they still needed some damn it!
You rolled out of bed, the sheets falling to the floor with your feet. You'd get them later, maybe...
The wooden floors creaked as you stalked to the bathroom, the mirror mocking your disheveled appearance.
Stupid mirror.
The steamy shower was nice though, you could feel the stress of recent events just wash away.
The incident with Evelyn.
Burgerpants knowing something is up.
The stupid skeleton next door.
It all flowed down the drain, and with a deep sigh you were ready to step out and face what ever else Ebott had to throw at you.
As you reentered your bedroom you dug through your closet for an outfit. You started at Muffets today and wanted to match the black and purple gothic style the café had.
You managed to find something that was close enough and got ready. You snatched your umbrella and headed out.
On your walk you noticed a few people wearing coats and scarves.
Guess it was getting cold out...
You didn't really have proper seasons in the country you'd been living in recently, just constantly warm. So you never had to worry about looking like you were bundled up for winter.
But now you'd have to keep up with dressing for the cold again. Which sucks, means you gotta go shopping... On the other hand you needed several things already, at least it'll all be one trip.
As you walked up to the bakery you noticed a lack of protesters, guess they didn't do mornings.
The little bell chimed as you stepped inside, greeting Muffet.
"Morning!" You waved as Muffet popped her head up from behind the counter, her pigtails bouncing as she moved.
"Oh, You actually showed! And on time, what a surprise you are." She came around and ushered you to the back, tossing you an apron as she went.
You tied it around your waist as Muffet began showing you around the back stations, and rambling about hunting down people who don't show.
Apparently most people didn't, and they had to face a giant spider she keeps in her appartment.
While the information was scary it didn't faze you much, you kinda hoped to meet her giant spider someday.
As the day went on Muffet trained you in making a few of the pastries, even let you eat a good few.
She also showed you how the register worked and threated to take your hand if you stole from her, you laughed and assured her you wouldn't. She didn't seem to care about your assurance though.
You were ringing up a small frog monster when the door chimed, you turned to greet them and were excited to see Otto.
"Hi, welcome to Muffet's! ...Ot- mm, Blake?" He laughed and made his way to the counter.
"So this is Muffet's? It's cute." It was slow right now so you figured you had time to humer him.
"Thanks, wanna buy something before I have to kick you out?" You hummed as you leaned on the counter.
"What? Is that how you treat Muffet's poor customers? Shame on you." He laughed and you could hear Muffet giggle from the back.
"Actually, it's store policy~" You pointed at the sign above you and Otto laughed as he read it.
'Buy something or leave!'
"Very direct, I like it."
"Oh, but when I say it I'm rude?" You teased as he looked over the case.
"You could tell someone they were as glorious as an angel and it'd be rude. So all of this is monster food, right?" He looked a little skeptical, but you can't really blame him.
He was only a few years younger then you, so seeing edible food again was still a huge shock.
"Yep. All of it dissolves! I promise." Muffet came out front as you spoke.
"Did you tell your friends to come here?" She must of noticed how friendly you were with Otto.
"Yeah, I also gave him one of the muffins I bought, I hope it's okay I told him to come here." You were starting to feel like you did something wrong, should you text the others to not come here?
"Oh dearie, it's perfectly fine! I just figured with you being forced to do free labor, you wouldn't exactly tell your friends. As long as he buys somwthing I don't care who you invite!" She smiled at Otto and he laughed.
"Yeah, she mentioned that. Thanks for healing her though, didn't know monsters could do that. I'm Blake by the way, Muffet I presume?" He held out his hand and Muffet gave him the same confused face she gave me when I introduced myself.
"Yes, pleasure to meet you dear." Muffet shook his hand before heading to the back again, the newly baked goods now in the display case and smelling amazing.
"Guess Blake wasn't the best choice..." Otto looked rather defeated and you felt bad for him, but could relate.
"So you caught that too? I keep getting that face from monsters when I introduce myself, at first I thought they didn't like Olivia's, but now I don't know..."
"Maybe human names are weird to monsters, I mean, Muffet is a little strange sounding at first." You nodded at that, guess it made sense if they aren't used to hear them.
Muffet and Burgerpants weren't exactly 'normal' human names...
Otto ended up buying several pastries before leaving, and Muffet seemed pleased you'd invited your friends, or at least happy for the new buisness.
The rest of the day was pretty slow, a few more customers and running off some protesters.
Muffet told you that you were good to head on home, but the fear of the loud music made you insist you should stay til closing.
Which was nice, you and Muffet spent most of the time just chatting and cleaning up the kitchen.
Well, you cleaned the kitchen, Muffet was preparing some dough that had to sit over night before use.
You swent up the last of the kitchen before sitting next to Muffet, has hands busy needing dough.
"I do hope you know staying later isn't going to shorten your week." Her sudden break in silence caught you off guard.
"Oh, that's not what I'm trying to do, I'm just, killing time. Nothing to really do after this and I'm enjoying being productive." Which wasn't a total lie.
All the things you did around the bakery were fun, you missed working. Over the years you'd built up enough that you could easily work from home doing a job with small earnings and still not worry. You'd put yourself in that position to avoid work, but being here and actually having stuff to do.
It gave you a small since of purpose you didn't realize you were missing.
"Oh? Well, if you do well enough over the week maybe I should consider giving you a paid position." Muffet didn't look up as she spoke, you almost missed her words at how soft she spoke.
"Really?" You scooted closer to her, excitement across your face as she glanced up.
"Calm down, it's only your first day, you're still bound to mess something up." She rolled her eyes and continued working the dough.
While you should have felt offended, you actually felt really giddy. Her words were rude, but her tone of voice was teasing. Like a friend.
Your first monster friend.
The rest of the time at Muffet's was short. She'd finished her batches of dough, the two of you talked. She filled you in on sooo much monster gossip.
You felt like you knew something about almost everyone.
And the sun was officially set.
"Alright, as much as I'd love to run a sweat shop, I don't need abounch of human police here banging on my door. Bad for buisness and all." Muffet hummed and she held out her hand for your apron.
You took it off and she accepted it smiling. The two of you stepped outside and she turned to lock up as she spoke.
"Same time tomorrow dearie, and thank you for all your extra help." She stood straight and tucked the key away in her pocket.
"Of course, thanks for letting me kill some time here." You waved her off as you headed home.
You were turning the corner to your building when your phone went off.
-Otto
Heard about Evelyn, drinks?
That was intresting, but fuck it. Maybe he found an alcohol hack that worked. You turned on your heels and headed to Otto's, it wasn't too far of a walk thankfully.
When you arrive Otto was eager as hell, he'd opened the door and pulled you inside before you'd even knocked.
"What's got you so excited? You start drinking without me?" You laughed and he stopped, grabbing both of your shoulders and holding intense eye contact.
"Yes, and it's fucking working!" He was drunk, a vampire, was drunk. For probably the first time ever, a vampire has actually become intoxicated.
He grabbed your arm again and pulled you into the living room, an extremely inebriated Remi sitting on his couch.
"Holy shit... how the fuck?" You were excited, you'd gotten drunk a few times as a human but once you vamped up all that was over.
Vampires can't consume anything but blood, on a good note they also can't be drugged by injection either which was cool. Being immune to poison was always a cool trick.
"Monsters have their own alcohol! And it's the same as the food!" He took the half empty bottle from Remi and held it up to you, their liquid inside was purple, a soft glow to it.
"This looks unsafe."
"It's magic!" Otto shouted as he threw his hands up before collapsing backwards on his couch.
"Sure..." You held up the bottle to the light, watching the liquid glitter inside.
You were essentially immune to anything so, this should be fine.
You brought the bottle to you lips and tilted you head back, the liquid was warm and sweet. As it evaporated you could feel a buzzing in your chest, warm and fuzzy. A slight dizziness taking over your mind and you smiled.
You eventually ended up on the couch with the boys, passing around the bottle and telling stories of your old lives. You'd always been curious about their lives.
"Man, you think monsters make cocaine too?" Remi was done, you took the bottle from him shaking your head.
"The more you talk the more I think getting bitten was the best thing for you." You laughed and Otto nodded.
"Man, I'm just asking, didn't was i was gonna do it..."
"You're not asking because you would definitely want to, and would want to get your hands on it?" Otto asked taking another sip.
"We're vampires it can't even hurt us now!" Remi pouted as he leaned back.
"We don't know that." Remi and Otto looked at you curious as you continued.
"Monster alcohol affects us, who knows what else they make and how else it can affect us. For all we know a tide pod made by monsters could kill us." You laughed at the memory of you and Remi eating tide pods and recording.
Otto had destroyed the video but the idea of going viral was enough for the two of you to risk it at the time.
"That's fair, I think I'm gonna head out. My uh, my flight leaves in the morning." Remi stood up and you followed him off the couch.
"You're leaving?" You questioned as you held his arm to help him steady himself.
"Yeah, headed to France. I wanna be with Evelyn, maybe I'll tell her how I feel." He was turning red and you cued, he could he so cute sometimes.
"I'll take him home, he's had far more then me and I wanna make sure he's good." You turned to Otto and he walked the two of you out.
As you and Remi stumbled down the path you could feel the alcohol settling into you, maybe this wasn't the best idea...
Not drinking for a few hundred years probably left you with a lower tolerance, but it's fine, everything is fine. Just gotta get Remi home and then find your own way home.
Easy. Ish...
Getting Remi home was the easy part, getting him to lay down, not so much... But once it was done you were on your way once again, stumbling through the night.
It wasn't too bad, a few creeps but your taller stature warded them off. Once you actually reached the appartment building you were pleased to be greeted by silence. You were out pretty late and as you stood outside your door you could see the morning sun beginning to rise, tomorrow's hang over was gonna be shit but it'd be worth it. Hopefully.
You stumbled into your appartment, landing comfortably on the couch. It was nice and soft. You were slowly dozing off when you heard knocking on your door.
You stood up and groaned. Who the fuck is at your appartment this late, no one text you...
You opened the door and the next thing you knew, was that your neighbor was dead meat.

Chapter Text
Sans POV
After the horrific night of meeting you, Sans decided it was in his best intrest to make your life hell.
As soon as he set foot back into his appartment he started blasting his stereo, the scream you let out was the high light of his night.
He kept the music going until around 4am. While he had no issues pulling an all nighter, he did have shit to do. Revenge shit.
He'd spent all night thinking up a way to get back at his pesky neighbor. He had to reel in alot of his ideas though, apparently humans for more suseptible to physical stuff than intent.
So he came up with something simple, child's play really. But it'd do the job.
The next morning he headed out to the store to buy what he needed, he also needed some stuff for his appartment so it was pretty convenient on his end.
However, he failed to realize monster stores wouldn't carry one item in particular he'd need. He'd have to suck it up and fins it in a human store...
It honestly took longer than he would've liked, apparently most places didn't just carry it. But he did eventually find his key ingredient in a gas station.
He bought up most of the stock earning a weird look from the cashier, but weather that was the items or because he was a skeleton was up for debate...
Once home he got to work, it was a simple prank really. One that'd put a lot of pain on that humans eyes. He dug through the bag and retrieved his prize, pepper spray.
He read online that it's the closest you can get to temporarily blinding a human without actually making them blind. And since she took out his eye light for a few hours she shouldn't mind him returning the favor.
After a few painful hours of hard work Sans managed to get the liquid out of all the spray bottles, only spraying himself once in the process.
Now he had his large bowl of spicy juice, but it needed just a little extra. Once it was all doctored up he set it beside his door.
Now we wait.
Your POV
As you opened your front door, ready to verbally assault who ever was disrupting your current buzz. Something above you shifted, and as your eyes moved up you were dragged in something.
You could smell two things, pepper spray and mustard. You looked down at yourself, thick yellow gunk and tiny flakes of glitter coating your entire being and the entrance of your appartment.
Him.
Your eyes glared at your neighbors door, it had to be his work. You tried to take a deep breath, but what the fuck! You angry stopped up to his door and poured your fist against it.
After a few moments of silence you thought about just breaking in, that little shit was hiding inside and you hated it. Lucky for him you've learned restraint over the years.
But this, this was far from over.
After getting cleaned up you sat on your couch, a notebook on the table and pen in hand. You'd been at it for a few hours now but you think you've finally found the perfect revenge.
Sadly, the perfect revenge must wait, for you had work at Muffets. The sun was casting light through the small cracks in your curtains, groaning you scooped up your notebook before changing for Muffet's.
You went with your umbrella again, since your gloves are old and your hat was lost. How much longer were you going to put off going to the store...
As you opened the front door you couldn't help but squint, the sun was really doing it's thing today. You felt your skin itch all over despite your extra coverage.
You rushed down the streets of Ebott as fast as you could, bumping into many people and even knocking a few to the ground. By the time Muffet's finally came into view you were exhausted, your skin was crawling and you were covered in sweat.
With wobbly legs you continued to run until you pushed through the door, landing on your hands and knees once inside. The door chimed behind you as your umbrella fell to the ground, you could see drops of sweat falling from your face and onto the floor infront of you.
Your vision was starting to blur and you could hear someone speaking but the words were muddy, as if they were underwater. Your blurred vision scanned over a lilac figure as you slumped further to the ground, finally passing out.
Being a vampire was cool and all, but man it had its down sides...
When you finally came to you were in the break room, glass of water sitting in front of you. You ignored it in favor of trying to stand, you very quickly say back down at the table you slumped over. Wincing in pain as you rolled up your pants leg, burn marks.
Not bad, looks liked they've healed quite a bit, but still too painful to stand. You noticed they also traveled up your arms, you were likely covered in them. Today was definitely a stay inside day, they were rare in the fall but could always happen.
You sighed and settled back into the chair, letting you head leaning back over the back of it. After a moment you hear footsteps shuffle in, lolling your head up to see Muffet with hands on her hips was well as a pair crossed over her chest.
"Well, what's the meaning of this?" She sounded pissed.
"Sorry, I didn't realize the sun was this bad until I was outside." Her face scrunched as she tried to make sense or your words, instead of making her quess you decided to just explain.
"I'm allergic to the sun, it's fall so I figured I'd be fine, and I didn't wanna call in sick on my second day so I tried to just run here. And failed miserably as you can tell." You chuckled as you gestured to your now burned arm.
"Well... You can't work in this condition! So clearly you have to go home!" She sounded worried but kept up the angry face, was this normal for all monsters or just her?
"Can't exactly leave while the suns up Muff." You scratched the back of your neck as you spoke, or at least tried to. As soon as your nails hit your skin you winced and pulled back.
"Muff?" She sounded flustered, and as you looked up you saw, plain as day a dark purple hue cast over her cheeks.
"It's a nickname, on the surface people give nicknames to their friends. Monsters don't?" She shook her head before clearing her throat.
"We are not friends, I am your employer and you can not work here with this... this allergy. You're fired, I'll arrange for a cab to come get you so you can avoid the sun." She turned away and began walking towards the door.
"Wait, Muffet, I can still work. I just need a few minutes, and I'm sorry about the nickname, I can reframe from using it!"
"Non sense, ita clear now that I was too kind to you and I've set a poor workplace hierarchy. I'm going to call your cab now." And with that she left you there. Stumped on what you did.
It didn't take long for the cab to arrive, the driver talking shit on monsters the entire ride back to your appartment. You would've said something but, you were so in your head you didn't really hear him.
When you finally arrived you ran like a madman to your appartment, slamming the door and groaning as you sat on the floor. Finally out of the suns reach for the day. Muffets words still played in your head.
You thought you'd finally made friends with a monster but you failed. Maybe vampires are destined to be alone, humans wouldn't accept you, why did you expect monsters to?
What where you hoping to gain?
What were you hoping to prove?
"Why did you have to tell me, (Y/n)? I could have died never knowing! I could have died still loving you!"
Your eyes snapped open at the memory, his voice rang clear as day.
His pale dieing body laying in your arms, sweat making his hair stick to his face. His beautiful eyes slowly loosing life as he looked at you with so much hate.
You loved him so much, and his dieing words still haunt you, hundreds of years later.
You shook your head, you can't focus on that. He was dead. But you were alive, and this was just a bump in the road. Muffet didn't work out but there are other monsters.
You will find someone who can accept you.
You refuse to be alone.
.
.
.
After your little, moment. You decided to do some random chorse around your appartment, anything to keep your mind busy. Sadly you were a fairly tidy person and most things were already done.
Luckily last nights laundry needed folding and you got to deep clean the bathroom, which is always fun. You also deep cleaned the rest of the small appartment. Making everything as spik and span as inhumanly possible.
It didn't take as long as you wouldve liked but you didn't finish after the sun had set. Guess nows as good a time as any to go shopping...
With the sun gone you didn't need so many extra items for protection and could just go outside. The breeze blew through your hair as you closed and locked your door. The night air was so welcoming.
With all of your burns healed, getting to the store was easy. Too easy, you stood outside and considered your options. You could get groceries here and be done fast, or you could wander aimlessly until you found a monster store, then you could buy food too!
So monster store it was! You had no idea where it was, you just knew Muffet had mentioned it once and had a vague idea of where to find it.
After about an hour of just walking around, you noticed a change in the people around you. Less humans, more monsters. Guess you were getting closer, but still no luck.
"Hey, can you tell me where the store is?" You stopped a rabbit monster near by and she frowned at you.
"You're on the wrong side of town babes, any store on this side sells monster goods." She popped a hand on her hip as she turned to face you.
She was pretty, and tall. Not as tall as you were but definitely taller than average. Her coat was a pale orange, with red streaks here and there. Her ears flopped over and covered in peircings. She was kinda cool.
"That's perfect! I'm looking for a monster store!" You smiled and she groaned.
"Are you one of those freaks with a monster fetish?" Her fave was twisted in disgust and you couldn't help but gasp.
"Why does everyone keep asking me that?! I just wanna buy some monster food! That's it!" You didn't mean to yell, it had just been a long day and you were tired of people asking you that!
You hadn't even realized you were so close to her. She raised a brow at you, she may have been shorter than you but it was clear she was no stranger to intimidating others. Then, she smiled, followed by loud laughter as she smacked you on the back.
"Alright, not a monster fetish. Let me show you where the shops are, it's not too far from here." She turned away from you and motioned for you to follow, so without a second thought you followed the strange rabbit monster.
"Name's Diz by the way, yourself?" She glanced up at you as she spoke, her voice much calmer and sweeter than her first time speaking.
"Call me Olive, it's short for Olivia." You smiled and held out your hand, and she didn't make a face. You're still not sure what the deal was with monsters and names, but she either wasn't a name person, or this is how you have to introduce yourself now.
"So, what's got you lookin for the monster shops? You're not gonna start protesting are you?" She was smiling but that was definitely a threat.
"No, I have unusual dietary restrictions. But with monster food, I'm not affected and I've missed eating whatever I want. So, I'm gonna buy some stuff and probably bake a whole cake to eat all by myself!" You hummed as you spoke. Cake was such an uncommon thing when you were human, like hell you were gonna miss out on it if you can it eat!
Diz laughed at you, smacking your back a couple more times.
"Can't be mad at you there, since coming top side I've been obsessed with some of the crap you humans eat." You laughed with her as the two of you neared the store, Diz stopping at the entrance.
"Welp, here we are, I'd go in with you but I got better shit to do." She smiled as she started to turn away, you hadn't had any luck with monsters so far... but danm it you were gonna try!
"Hey wait, could I get your number? I don't know alot about stuff on the monster side of town, and new friends never hurt!" You held out your phone to her and she thought it over for a second, her left ear twitching.
"Fuck it." She snatched your phone and types her number in. "You owe me for showing you the way anyway, buy me a drink sometime and we'll call it even." She tossed your phone back to you.
You caught it smiling and headed into the store, maybe not a friend yet, but soon!
You were excited to see all the awesome stuff they had here, in particular the clothes. Monsters could look like anything so alot of it was custom, and they did have a tailor in the back for just that. Thankfully most monsters humanoids, was that rude?...
So a good chunk of it was wearable for you! Not that it mattered since clothes wise you only needed a hat and pair of long gloves. The hat you found had a huge brim, you'd probably be able to wear it without gloves. But you still found a pair, well two pair...
The gloves you found that were in your size and the perfect color were in a four pack, clearly ment for a monster with four arms. But still, they fit!
Now for the food~
You were amazed at all the options, it had been so long since you even had basic options. The world has changes so much, you never bothered to even glance at what people were eating once you'd turned, knowing that you'd never get to taste it...
But now?
You grabbed almost everything you could off the shelves, cereal, fruit, jerky, condiments, if it's was edible it was in your cart!
When you reached the honey though, your smile spread wide. You had an annoying neighbor to get back at~
After remembering and getting your pranks supplies you headed for the check out, cart overflowing with ingredients for delicious meals and junk food. You had to literally stop to put something up that fell out and rearrange your cart a few times...
As you stepped in line, and familiar voice spoke, very, very close behind you.
"AH, HUMAN. FANCY SEEING YOU HERE. WE NEED TO HAVE A CHAT."

Chapter Text
Papyrus POV
After learning his brother had a human friend, Papyrus will admit he was curious about her. He'd wanted to as Sans about the human, but before he had the chance Sans had asked him about her. The conversation was long and tiresome, needless to say neither brother was happy to learn they were tricked.
Papyrus was normally better at catching people in a lie, but she managed to actually trick him. Now he was curious how well she could lie, and curious about how well she could keep up a poker face.
However, despite his best efforts her routine was always changing. When he'd first met her, she were leaving in the afternoon or at night. So learning that she'd started leaving early in the day was a bit of an inconvenience...
He was frustrated as he entered the shops, maybe this was his sign to leave his petty behavior underground. There was no need for it here on the surface. Papyrus sighed in annoyance.
He was grabbing another can off the shelf when he heard a clatter, turning his head he was surprised to see a human here. And after a moment more of inspection he smiled, approaching slowly.
"AH, HUMAN. FANCY SEEING YOU HERE. WE NEED TO HAVE A CHAT." She turned at face him, a box still in hand as she pushed her cart into the check out line.
"Oh, hey dude!" She were certainly a cheery one.
"PAPYRUS, NOT DUDE." He watched as she laughed and scratched the back of her neck, mumbling an apology as he rolled his eyelights.
"HUMAN I WOUL-"
"Olivia. Not human." She smiled as she interrupted him, Papyrus was surprised. Not many would dare to do so, but perhaps it was simply her human ignorance.
"YES, OLIVIA. I WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO DINNER, AT MY BROTHERS HOUSE SINCE IT'S CLOSER TO YOU THAN MINE IS, I DO HOPE YOU'LL ACCEPT." He tried to look pleasant as he spoke, it was imperative she accepted.
He watched as she thought it over, her face practiced and carful. Hard to read even, he watched as her eyes glanced down for only a moment before her lips parted to speak.
"I'm not sure if that's a good idea, we're in a bit of a fight right now." The words left her lips easily, and while he knew there was little truth to her statement, there was no lie to be heard.
She really did peak his intrest.
"NON SENSE, WE MONSTERS MAY BE DIFFICULT TO GET ALONG WITH BUT WE STILL LONG FOR CAMPAIONS. MY BROTHER IS SHAMEFUL WHEN IT COME TO EXPRESSING HIMSELF. I'M SURE WHAT EVER ISSUES YOU TWO ARE FACING, WE CAN SETTLE OVER DINNER." Her face was trained again as she thought, he was hesitant to speak again but he needed this to work.
"BESIDES, I MYSELF HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A HUMAN FRIENDS KNOWLEDGE OF THIS STRANGE WORLD WE NOW SHARE. SADLY MOST AREN'T WILLING TO GIVE ME THE TIME OF DAY. I SUPPOSE I ASSUMED THAT IF YOU WERE WILLING TO BEFRIEND MY BROTHER, YOU'D BEFRIEND ME ASWELL. APOLOGIES FOR WASTING YOUR TIME OLIVIA." He turned away, steps slow and calculated.
"Wait..." Predicable.
"I, I don't mind having dinner with you guys, maybe smoothing things other with... him would be a good idea." She smiled, and Papyrus realized something so funny to him.
She didn't even know Sans's name.
"I do have a request, no human food. I have dietary restrictions and my body can't process a lot of it, monster food how ever I can process just fine!" An odd request but it did explain her overflowing cart of monster goods.
"THAT ISN'T A PROBLEM. SKELETON MONSTERS CAN'T EAT HUMAN FOOD, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO USE HUMAN COOKING MATERIALS." A partial lie on his part but he needed to see how well she could pick up on that. He watched closely as her eyes fell, disappointed.
"They're that different?" Her eyes looked over her cart and she gave a sad smile. "Guess I should put most of this back than..."
"NO NEED, YOU CAN EASILY FIND RECPIEPS ON THE UNDERNET. SINCE OUR MERGING INTO SOCIETY IT'S ACCEPABLE TO HUMANS." Papyrus pulled out his phone and began showing her the app and a few of its uses.
"Neat! Thanks Papyrus!" He wanted to know if she could detect lies, not kill, whatever this was...
"DINNER WILL BE READY AROUND SEVEN, WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO WALK YOU OVER?"
"That's alright, should be able to find the place on my own." She laughed and they parted ways.
She really was a strange girl.
.
.
.
Papyrus arrives at his brother appartment and filled him in on their dinner company.
"why the fuck is she comin here? you gotta house, take er there!" Sans was stomping around behind Papyrus, following him around the kitchen as he yelled.
"BECAUSE THIS IS CLOSER, BESIDES SHE'S BEEN HERE BEFORE. POSSIBLY TWICE, SHE'LL BE COMFORTABLE ENOUGH TO LET HER GUARD DOWN AND BE ON OUR TERF. IT'S THE PERFECT PLAN REALLY." Papyrus snapped at his younger brother, Sans was many things and a dimwit as well.
"BESIDES BROTHER, IF THINGS GO WELL TONIGHT. THE HUMAN WILL NO LONGER BE AN ISSUE IN OUR DAY TO DAY LIVES. YOURS IN PARTICULAR, SO PERHAPS YOU SHOULD JUST LET ME WORK." Papyrus smiled as Sans finally left the kitchen, now Papyrus can finally cook.
Your POV
Your interaction with Papyrus was short, but hopefull. Maybe after dinner you and Sans could put your issues aside, be friends even.
You checked out with your many items of monster food and called a cab to get them home. Getting them into your appartment was it's own battle but you managed.
It was weird to see your kitchen fully stocked, and with so many things you've never even tried. You closed the fridge and cabinets, excited at all of the new possibilities. But that'd have to wait, it was already six and you wanted to get ready.
Papyrus seems like the type to appreciate people's appearance, you slipped on a pair of clean pants and a nice shirt. It was simple, but it was nice enough.
You threw on some simple makeup, one of those natural looks, and were ready to head out. You didn’t kill a full hour but a few minutes early should be fine.
You stood in front of your neighbors door, it was only fifeteen minutes, should be fine. You raised your fist to knock but the door swung open before you made contact, your fist gently knocking into a now familiar rib cage.
"AH, OLIVIA, WELCOME." Papyrus stepped aside, one of his arms gesturing inside the appartment as he smiled down at you.
It was still weird to meet someone taller than you, but a welcome weird.
You stepped inside and thanked him for having you, the shorter skeleton was sitting on the couch staring daggers. You smiled at him as Papyrus closed the door and walked back towards the kitchen.
"APOLOGIES OLIVIA, DINNER ISN'T READY YET. MY BROTHER CAN KEEP YOU COMPANY WHILE I FINISH UP." He waved a hand back as he disappeared through the archway.
"Right..." You frowned as you turned back to the couch, your neighbors frown pulling into a grin at the corners.
"sup, neighbor." He patted the empty cushion next to him and you strolled over, plopping down.
"Here for dinner, as you know, neighbor." The venom in your voice was sharp but he seemed unbothered, amused even at your tone.
"so, olivia, you go around liein to monsters often?" He smiled like he'd actually done something with that.
"So, shorty, does your brother know you broke into my apartment? I get the vibe he's all for rules and junk." You leaned down more to his level, smiling as visible sweat beads began forming on his skull.
"non of yer buisness." His eyes lights darted around as he avoided you, your smile widening.
"Intresting, sounds like I'm not the only liar here." You leaned closer into the side of his skull, moving your arm to block him into the couch.
"And at least I didn't lie to my own brother." You voice was low enough that Papyrus wouldn't hear you even if he tried. But the smaller skeleton, he absolutely heard you, the sudden disappearance of his eyelights was proof of that.
You kept your eyes on his small frame, sweat beads forming as his breathing got shallow. You smiled knowing you'd hit a nerve. His body was stock still, trapped firmly to the couch by your arm, cornered like pray.
As if by instinct you couldn't help but sniff the air around him, you nose twitched and it felt like time stood still. You could feel your Fangs itch, they didn't dare pop out. You knew this wasn't food, but the feeling of cornered pray, it had been so long since a real hunt.
The look on his face, the look of someone cornered who knows they've been caught. The sweet smell of fear, and yet, the small skeleton had the body language of a fighter. Completely still and unwavering, like he'd fight til his last breath.
You wouldn't bite, but you couldn't help moving in closer. Your face almost touching the bones of his neck, he tilted his chin up, as if giving you more room. You hummed at his immediate submission, curious if he even knew he was doing it. Or if he was naturally the type to give in.
Made you wonder, if you attacked right now, would he fight? Or would he give in? His body language gave you two different signals, one threatening and one-
"DINNER IS READY. COME HERE." Your eyes snapped open at the sound of Papyrus's voice. You pulled away and stood, leaving the small skeleton alone on the couch as you headed to dinner.
You're not sure why you did that, you've cornered tons of people over the years. But that, you felt so different, it probably had to do with him being a monster. That had to be it.
You pulled back a chair and had a seat at the table, Papyrus was already seated and his brother wasn't far behind.
Once the three of you were sat at the table and Papyrus served the food, it's was just a regular lasagna, you're not sure what you were expecting but this was extremely casual.
Papyrus didn't seem like the type to pull stupid pranks though, you really shouldn't have expected him to do something.
You chuckled at the thought, lifting your fork to take a bite of your food.
"SO OLIVIA, TELL ME HOW YOU CAME TO BE FRIENDS WITH MY BROTHER?" Papyrus smiled widely, hands folded under his chin expectingly.
You set the fork back down, deciding it was better to speak without a mouth full of delicious looking lasagna.
"Oh, uh, like I said, our shared taste of music." Your eyes glanced at your neighbor for only a second to gage his reaction, he still looked a bit shaken from earlier.
Guess that was new for him too.
"AH YES, I ALWAYS SEEM TO FORGET THE LITTLE THINGS. APOLOGIES OLIVIA. LET'S EAT."
Well you weren't gonna say no to that! You lifted the fork again and brought it to your mouth about to take a bit when the annoyance himself spoke.
"BY THE WAY OLIVIA, I HOPE LASAGNA IS ALRIGHT. YOUR ONLY CONDITION WAS MONSTER FOOD AND YOU HADN'T LISTED ANY ALLERGIES." You rolled your eyes as you set the fork down again, trying to keep a smile on your face.
"Oh no, no allergies, I can eat anything." The shorter skeleton nodded before taking a bite of his own food, guess he was feeling better.
He seemed fine eating, as did Papyrus, so without any more real thought to it you lifted your fork and took a bite.
Papyrus was an amazing cook, this might be the best lasagna you've ever eaten! Your mouth was watering as you chewed, a little hum leaving your nose as- CRUNCH.
Your eyes shot to the sound, it sounded like it came from Papyrus, but he seemed completely normal... CRUNCH. You couldn't help but winced as your eyes moved to the other skeleton, his chewing still making softer crunch sounds.
It wasn't until your second, hesitant bite that you felt it. Your tongue ran over the flat smooth surface before sliding over the rougher, jagged side.
Glass. There were shards of glass in it.
You kept your face calm now that you knew their game, eyes locking onto the shorter skeleton as you let the shard fall between your teeth.
CRUNCH.
A smile on your lips as he jumped slightly, you didn't bother for Papyrus's reaction. Your neighbor was the never ending thorn in your side, so he was your target.
That, and the faces he made were addictive.
The glass shattered into tiny pieces and you swallowed, taking another bite. As luck would have it you got two decently sized shards this time.
With out chewing you swallowed them whole, maintaining eye contact as you tilted your chin up just a bit.
You could feel them slide down, and the small skeletons face was priceless. His sockets wide, eye lights tiny as he stared at the two lumps in your throat sliding down. One was larger, you could feel it break skin and a warm liquid slowly starting to drip.
"HUMAN, YOU'RE BLEEDING. NOT VERY SEEMLY FOR THE DINNER TABLE." Papyrus sounded disappointed, almost like a child who lost a bet.
"Sorry, I should head home and clean up. Perhaps next time we leave out the glass. While I don't have allergies" You stood and walked behind Papyrus's chair, placing a hand on each of his shoulders while watching the shorter skeleton closely. "Shattered glass is also quite unseemly for the dinner table." Your voice was hushed, threatening.
You smiled as the shorter skeletons eye lights vanished completely for a second time tonight. You stood up right and let go of Papyrus's shoulders.
"Well boys it's been fun, dinner was amazing Papyrus. I hope to be invited again." Your words trailed behind you as you opened the front door. A smile on your lips as you pulled the door closed behind you.

The morning after your little glass stunt had you doing some annoying ass surgery, it was easier to just cut the glass from your stomach then even try to pass it. You've made that mistake before, and you were never doing it again...
You were sitting on the toilet, a bucket on the floor between your legs, and you stomach sliced about half way down. You had one of your intestines in hand, a pair of rubber tiped tweezers in the other as you gently pulled the last shard of glass free.
You tried to remember exactly how many pieces of glass there were, but you bit into a couple and who knows how many shards that made...
So you were just pulling out the biggest pieces, and hoping the smaller ones just lived inside you forever...
You tucked your intestines back inside, you didn't have to worry about putting them perfectly where they went. Your healing factor would deal with that, you just had to stitch your stomach shut. Thankfully Vampires don't really bleed.
Speaking of you should probably go hunting soon, once a week clearly isn't working so maybe twice a week?
You groaned as you tied off the last stitch, pulling your shirt down and exiting the bathroom. You could hear your neighbors music through certain parts of the wall, it wasn't nearly as loud as before.
But you still hadn't forgiven him for his stupid pranks, which is why you were excited to work on your revenge plan. You had already collected all the materials, and setting up the device would only take a little effort.
You sat down on the couch, it was way more comfortable without the glass ripping your insides everytime you shifted. You hadn't had your period in a long, long time, but glass in your lower intestines felt almost like cramps.
You smiled as you carefully put the spring into the box and placed the lid. Finally, it was done!
The device was small and seemed harmless, looked like a regular package on the outside. All he had to do was take it inside and open it.
The prank didn't really need much from you, so you just dropped it off at his front door. You didn't bother knocking, knowing him he'd probably open it immediately just to spoil your plans.
You returned to your living room and waited.
You'd dropped it off a few hours ago, you figured he wouldn't find it immediately but this was taking forever. You'd probably die of old age at this rate... Well, maybe not old age... but still!
You groaned as you glanced out your window, the sun had long set and if you wanted to eat tonight now was the time to go.
You didn't bother changing, dressed like a hottie or a bum, someone was bound to bother you. You opened your front door and took one step outside before stopping in your tracks.
The box was gone, he took it inside, but he hadn't opened it yet.
You stared at the spot next to his door where you left it, shifting your weight from one foot to the other before taking a deep breath.
You exhaled and went back into your appartment, you wanted to hear him when he opened it. You worked too hard, you needed this.
You sat in your hallway, back against the wall to his appartment. The hallway had the least soundproofing, you could hear from his livingroom all the way to his bedroom from here. You'd hear him no matter what.
Unless he opened it in his bathroom...
But that was unlikely!
You sat there waiting, eyes closed as you focused on the sound. It was weirdly quiet, he was normally so loud. Especially later in the day...
You could hear all kinds of small sounds, but it was a small click that made you smile. If it could your heart would beat out of your chest in excitement.
Not long after that tiny click was a much louder sound, like a pop, followed by a loud yell.
"what thr fuck!?!?" You pressed your ear into the wall as you scooted closer to where his living room was, the best part was coming! You wish you could see it.
Another sound, a much softer woosh, and another frustrated scream.
"what the fuck is this??" You could hear him stumble back and land on his ass with a thud.
Your hands flew up to your mouth to hide your giggles, he was probably freaking out!
You sat on the floor for a while, just imagining his situation. Once you'd finally caught your breath you just laid there, a dumb smile plastered across your face. You let out a content sigh, closing your eyes.
That is, until you heard the loud banging on your door. Sounds like you were gonna get to see the after math after all.
You stood up, brushing off any dust you'd picked up from the floor. As you approached the door you couldn't help the laughing fit threatening to pour out of you.
As you grabbed the knob you took several deep breaths to prepare yourself, stay strong!
You pulled open your door to see your tiny skeleton neighbor, he was pissed. Eye lights tiny and anger lines spreading across his skull.
The honey was dripping at his feet, a nice trail between the appartments. But the cherry on top was the hair sticking to him, different colors, different lengths. You'd visited a lot of hair salons to get all these clippings, and it was so worth it.
"You do something different with your hair?" You could barely keep it together as the words left your lips. You held onto the side of the door for dear life, body shaking ever so slightly as you tried to hold it in.
"you know danm well whats wrong here!" Even though he was shouting you couldn't take him seriously with the random strands slowly sliding through their honey prison.
And when a glop of the hairy honey slid into his nasel cavity, causing this absolutely tiny gremlin of a skeleton to start hacking you fucking lost it. You doubled over and the once threaten burst of laughter came forth as you grabbed your knees for support.
You couldn't breath and thankfully you didn't need too as you wheezed from the lack of air in your lungs. You looked up to see he'd finally stopped coughing but you couldn't stop laughing as you fell on your ass, one of your hands moving to hold your stomach as the fit died down.
You kept your eyes on the floor as you took deep calming breaths.
"This is the best day of my life." You wiped a tear as the laughing stopped and looked up at your neighbor again, his arms crossed and a scowl present under all the honey and hair.
"Oh don't give me that. You started this." You smiled as you leaned back on your hands, getting comfy on the floor.
"what the fuck? how the fuck did i start this?" He leaned over you, a drop of honey dripping into your leg.
"With the mustard and pepper spray." His eyelight shark for a second before returning to their usual size, his body leaning away from you as he huffed.
"Yeah, it's been awhile but I never forget that type a shit. Anyway, this was just payback."
"payback huh?" He tried to cross his arms but the sticky honey bunched his sleeves awkwardly as the fabric passed over itself, eventually he settled on putting his hands in his pockets. "alright, i can live with that." He smiled as he spoke, and uneasy feeling settling over you as he turned away.
You hummed as the skeleton walked back to his appartment, you'd expected a bigger fight. Kinda lack luster but all well, his face covered in honey and hair will forever be your favorite memory.
You closed the door before heading to your room, you still had plenty of time to go hunting to night. And now that you're moods improved dressing up for the hunt sounded way more fun!
You decided to go with your usual short cut, low neck line piece, it always attracted some dumbass. You did your hair and slipped on some heels, they made you taller but also added a nice shape to your legs.
As you stepped outside you smiled glancing at your neighbors door, that really was the most fun you'd had in awhile. A breeze blew by, your dress and hair fluttering as you looked over the railing. Ebott really was a beautiful city, you wish you could stay forever...
As you walked the streets, you couldn't help the melancholy feeling washing over you. This was not the vibe, not if you wanted to be approached. You took a deep breath as you approached a bar, the sad feelings pushing deep down to the depths of your mind.
You had all the time in the world to be sad later, for now, you'd enjoy your life and focus on the fun.
As you opened the door it was very clear it was a Saturday night, the place was packed. You usually hunted on Wednesdays but, after last time hunting more than once a week might be better for you...
You took a seat at the bar, even ordered a drink. While you couldn't really drink it, taking fake sips helped with the illusion, and like clockwork, a man was at your side.
"What's a girl like you doin here all alone? Boyfriend couldn't make it?" He leaned over the stool next to you, a drink in hand as he slurred.
"I never said I had a boyfriend." Your eyes looking him over as you spoke, he looked clean, honestly kinda cute.
"Oh yeah? Guess it's my lucky night." He moved closer, and you turned your body towards him and watched as his eyes roamed your form.
"Oh, and why's that?" You rested your head in one of your hands, your elbow proped up on the bar.
"Let me buy you another drink and you'll find out." He placed one of his hands on your leg, nudging it to the side before stepping between them.
He didn't press his body into yours, just stood between your knees and leaned into your hair. Oh he was very drunk, you could hear the soft giggles as his hand stroked from your knee to your thigh and back down.
You leaned into his ear, eye lids falling as you spoke. "I have a better idea, follow me."
You slid off the stool, your body gently bumping his before his drunken mind could think to move. Without a second glance you left the bar, you didn't need to turn around to know he followed.
As the two of you set foot outside he was at your side asking as many questions as he could, it was a bit irritating but you were almost there.
"So, where are we goin?"
"Can I know your name?"
"Your skin is soft."
"How tall are you? I don't meet many women your height."
"Hey, um... where are we?" He finally noticed how far the two of you walked, you were far away from the bars, no orying eyes here.
"Don't worry, it's right around here!" You spun around smiling, reaching out and grabbing his hands with your own.
He gave a dopey grin and followed you around the corner, once down the ally your friend got a little too excited. He pressed you into the wall, trying desperately to press his lips to yours. He was at least a foot shorter than you, his attempts were cute and made you laugh.
"Hold on dear, not yet." You put one of your hands on his head and played with his hair, he huffed before pulling away.
"What the hell, don't mess with my hair!" He jerked back and immediately began fixing his hair, you took the opportunity to walk deeper into the ally, knocking on the door hidden in the shadows.
"Doen here." You motioned for him to join you and he followed, slowing up as the door came into view.
"This is uh, kinda sketchy, you sure?" Guess he was sobering up.
"Trust me, I come here all the time. It's run by some friends so we get in free and get all the drinks we want." A partial lie but it didn't matter, her light up and the door swung open.
"Olivia, haven't seen you here in ages." The large man stepped aside and gesture for you to walk in, you linked arms with your new friend and headed inside.
The hallway was dark, doors on both sides. You didn't love coming here, but it made eating easier. A specially designed place, were vampires brought pray and left them. The staff takes care of their memory and gets them home. They do steal a little extra of the person's blood but no one's died.
You finally reached an open door and lead him inside.
"Is this a hotel?" He stumbled in after you.
"Come here." You sat down on the bed and beckoned him to you, he happily obliged.
He leaned into you for a kiss and you tilted you head to the side, trailing little kisses along his jaw until you reached his neck.
You hummed as you felt the familiar itch in your incisors, your hands coming to rest on his back, bunching the fabric of his shirt.
Your lips parted and you rested your teeth against his skin, you hesitated before biting. If he fell while you drank you could accidentally hurt him...
You moved away, leaning back to speak. "Hey, sit down for me." Your voice was sweet as you spoke, and he followed your instructions without question.
You smiled before climbing into his lap, hands returning to his back. With proper support he won't fall in a way that you can't catch him now.
He hummed as you returned to his neck. Incisors at full length as they slid down his skin, finding the perfect spot to sink in.
You found the tender spot and bit down, his hum turning into a groan of pain. Before he could even protest your saliva began dripping down into the wound, the effects calming him as it numbed the area.
Since you weren't starving you could actually take in the taste, while vampires can't taste food, blood is different. Each type had its own flavor, and how the person took care of themself would change it slightly. Like eating plane chicken or seasoned chicken.
This rando from the bar was definitely type o, his blood was fruity, but his diet was trash, it was salty. While salty fruit wasn't the best combo the naturally metallic taste brought them together nicely. If he'd had a better diet he could be compared to a fine wine.
You pulled back and let his body fall onto the bed limply. You wiped the small dribble of blood from your chin before sliding off his lap and leaving the room. You left the door cracked so the workers would know he was in there.
You smiled as you left, twice a week was definitely better than once. It had been awhile since you actually just enjoyed eating, normally it was a rush for food to avoid going feral.
You hummed as you walked back home, a small skip in your step. Completely obvious to the two red eyes following you from afar.

Chapter Text
Christmas was always a shit holiday for you, you avoided going to any events. Humans held so much love and joy in the holiday, you didn't want to intrud on something so... human.
And now you sit alone in your appartment, you thought about the other vampires and how they were dealing. You know a few of them like to celebrate their immortality but you stopped celebrating long ago. You'd lost alot when you turned.
You grabbed your glass of eggnog from the livingroom table. The drink was invented not long after you were born, but due to your life at the time and your turning later, this is your first time trying it. Monster food really had opened you up to a whole new world of food that you had missed, and fiid had come a long way since you'd turned.
You leaned back into your couch, the glass resting in your lap as you sighed. But a loud knock on your door pulled you from your thoughts as you set down your glass. Your feet moved across the floor slowly, your body always moved slower in the cold, you should probably turn the heat up later.
You opened the door to find Sans standing there, an ugly sweater under his jacket to match the holiday.
"i was sent to get you, you know cause you didnt show up." He looked bored and slightly annoyed, his eyes looking you up and down before he snorted.
"youre not even dressed, im gonna guess you didnt get invited to somethin better so what gives?"
"I uh, don't do big holidays." You walked back to your couch, leaving the door open for him to follow if he wants. You didn't look back when you heard the door close, just assumed he left.
"so you just sit alone and drink eggnog?" You jumped when you heard his voice right behind you.
"Uh, yeah. I don't like getting super close with mortals, you know that. We had this talk when you invited me." You grabbed your glass again as Sans sat next to you.
"you know everyones gonna be sad youre not there, heard diz was even gonna make an appearance. probably just coming for the alcohol but still, im sure shell wanna see you too." You chuckled at that, Diz was always a fish of a rabbit monster.
"Sans, if I go it's going to be harder on me when all of you eventually die. Don't you get that?" You were getting fed up, the idea of going may sound fun but the thought of getting close to only disappear later was dreary.
"never stopped toriel, shes also partially insane, but shes lived longer than all of us and has longer to go. monsters have different life spans and while no one else knows what youre going through, youre no alone in it." You looked up to meet his eyes, he was sitting alot closer than you remembered.
"i still think you should tell the others, itll be a shock but i handled it well." He was always so convincing, you always had trouble telling him no, but this. This was a big ask.
"Sans..."
"not today, today lets just show up. you can think about it tomorrow and decide when ever you want. but today lets just show up and have fun." He gave you a sweet smile and you felt warm, no extra heating required.
You leaned into him, well on him, the height difference didn't work in your favor but you tried. You head laying onto of his as you hummed.
"fuck youre cold, is your heat on?" Sans pulled away and you fell into the couch, you groaned as he moved to go check the heating.
"Doesn't matter, I'm going. You've convinced me." You exaggerated the last part, throwing your arms up before letting them flop above your head on the couch.
"well you cant go like that, go get ready, ill wait here." You groaned as you rolled off the couch and headed to your room.
You didn't have a lot of festive clothes since you didn't celebrate the holiday. Jeans and a sweater will do, you slipped on some boots aswell to walk through the snow. From your understanding the party was at Grillbys, so walking was sadly needed.
You returned to the living room to see Sans already asleep, at smile spread across your face as you pulled a marker from your desk. Creeping closer as quiet as possible, removing the cap from the pen as you inched it closer to his face.
"dont even try." He didn't even bother opening his eyes as he spoke, completely still as he spoke.
"What the fuck, how did you know?" You whined as you recapped the pen and tossed it to the floor.
"i didnt, just figured." He opened his eyes and stood from the couch, adjusting his sweater before heading for the door.
"ready?" He opened the door and turned back to you smiling.
The two of you headed out, the snow falling around you as you walked. The sun was completely hidden by the thick clouds and falling snow, winter really was beautiful.
Your eyes wandered back over to Sans, his skull was practically glowing with all the reflective light from the snow. He had his jacket zipped up and his nasel cavity pressed into the fluff.
He really was pretty at times, not that you could tell him that. He'd probably throw a tantrum at the statement, another thing he did that was cute. His eyelights looked up at you and he stopped walking.
"you okay? youre lookin a little blue there." He stopped walking and you followed suit, you're pretty sure there was a pun in there but you couldn't find it.
"I promise, I'm fine. If i start feeling all depressed again, I'll let you know, I promise." You bumped him with your hip and smiled but he still looked concerned.
"no doll, your lips are turnin blue. youre literally lookin blue." His deadpan expression was enough to send you into a fit of giggled, you're not sure why but everything was increasingly funny right now.
"yeah, thats probably not good. come here doll, grab onto me." Sans pulled you into his arms, his coat making him so comfortable to cuddle.
You couldn't help wanting to be closer, your hands slipping under the back of his coat and sweater. He jumped as they reached the back of his ribs.
"fuck! your hands are cold, stop that!" He jerked back and removed your hands, holding them with one hand while he pulled your body into his with the other. You couldn't help leaning into him as you giggled again.
The world around you spun for only a second before returning, the snowy outside world was now a cozy storage closet. Sans stepped back and released your hands before opening the door and leading you out.
The two of you were now in Grillby's, cleariry returning to your mind as color returned to your lips. The place was decked out for Gyftmas, the monster version of Christmas from your understanding. Some things were different, some the same, but still a holiday you felt weird intruding on.
"you back to normal now?" Your eyes looked down to Sans again, he was still leading you through the bar by your hand.
"Yeah, I'm back, guess it was colder than I thought." Sans pulled his hand away now that he knew you didn't need a guide, the two of you walking up to the bar and having a seat.
"glad to have ya back, was getting worried there." Sans laughed as Grillby passed him a drink.
"Aww, you were worried about lil ol me?" You rested your head in your hands as you teased and Sans smiled at you.
"well, yeah. thats why i came to get ya and everything. wounldnt have bothered if i wasnt worried." Your eyes widened a bit at his statement, Sans wasn't normally so blunt about this type of stuff.
"Well, thanks. I appreciate it." You cringed at how awkward you sounded, but Sans didn't comment on it. He'd usually be the first to tease you.
The party was a great time, it was fun to see humans and monsters getting along. Drinks were going by faster than they probably should have, but it's a party. Papyrus and Undyne got into another one of their dick measuring contests, which was always a treat to watch.
You and Diz had a drinking contest and she beat you with flying colors, you knew your limit so you not plastered yet but you're gettin close. At the end of the night everyone gathered around a tree Grillby had put up for the party to give out gifts, you didn't get anyone anything since you didn't know you'd be showing up.
Which felt very awkward so you sat at the bar hoping no one got you anything.
It was still fun though, watching everyone's face light up with excitement as they each opened their gifts. You were glad Sans dragged you here. You spent the rest of the night on that bar stool, watching while everyone chattered about their gifts and shared drinks in celebration.
Sans was right, it would've sucked to miss this. Everyone was starting to leave now, slowly less and less people were in the bar. You considered heading home yourself when Sans sat next to you, he always seemed to know when to pop up.
"you about ready to head home?" He was clearly drunk, his eyelights hazy and a stupidly cute smile on his face.
"Yeah, I'll walk you home. I don't think you should shortcut while you're this drunk." Sans laughed and slid off the stool, nearly falling on his face but he managed.
"i got this doll, chill~" He laughed as he walked out of the bar.
"Alright, what ever you say." You laughed at his stupid joke and started on your trip home.
The walk was quiet, peaceful even, and once again you find yourself enchanted by the snow and the red eye lights casting a soft light on the flakes that fell by them. The fluff of his hood was slowly but steadily getting covered in the pretty powder. And just like before, they roamed up to meet your hazy eyes.
"yer turnin blue again." Sans moved to walk in front of you, grabbing your hands and shoving them in his pockets.
Your body leaned down to reach and walking behind... over? Walking like this with him was difficult...
"Hey, this is making it kinda hard to walk." You tried to be polite about it, you knew he was trying to be helpful.
"if you turn into a tree frog again I'm not gonna be able to drag your frozen ass all the way back!" He started walking faster and you nearly fell on top of him.
"Sans! This isn't working, and I don't turn into a tree frog! I have a similar defense to cold weather as frogs!" You tried to defend yourself but Sans wasn't having it.
"okay, turn into a giant sleeping ice cube, whatever, point is i cant carry you!" He dropped your hands and turned around to face you, his cheeks slowly getting brighter red as he just stared at you.
You hadn't straightened back up yet so you were bend down to his level, and you couldn't help smiling as you watched his cheeks heat up.
"shut up! im only lettin this happen once! so dont get used to it!" You were confused by his sudden outburst, but slowly started connecting the dots and he pulled off his jacket and threw it at you.
"put it on."
"Sans, it's a sweet gesture, but vampires don't-"
"just put the danm thing on!" You did as you were told and put on his jacket, the sleeves stopped before your wrists and the hem fell around your waist, but it could easily close around you.
Once it was on Sans stubbornly stood infront of you, mumbling something. But you couldn't make it out.
"What?" He mumbled again, turning his head to the side.
"Sans, I can't hear you. What are you saying?" He snapped his head at you and grumbled.
"Sans I don't-"
"pick me up!" He yelled and you slow blinked in response, that was definitely not what you were expecting...
But you weren't going to pass this up, you quickly scooped up the tiny skeleton and held him close to you.
"zip it up, you cant generate your own heat but i do, should be enough to get us home..." He was mumbling again but he was so close you could actually hear him.
You definitely felt better, Sans was pressed into your chest, the jacket was only long enough to hold his torso. So his head poked out just under your chin and his hips stuck out at the bottom. But it was a good reason to touch is butt, or lack of since you had to prop it on your arm to keep him up high.
Sans had his arms wrapped around your waist like you'd drop him and you couldn't help but chuckle.
Eventually you reached the appartment building, but instead of dropping Sans off next door you took him straight into your appartment. It might have been the remaining alcohol in your system, but you were feeling extremely bold. If he let you get away with this, you could get away with cuddles.
"w-what are you doin?" You laughed as you zipped the jacket up over his skull, dashing into your appartment and closing the door.
You stopped at the couch and flopped down backwards, rolling on your side so Sans was sandwiched between you and the back of the couch.
You pulled down the zipper to see his skull squished into your chest, the bright red glow making you laugh again as you nuzzled the top of his skull.
"It's my first Christmas as a vampire, can this be my present? Just for a few minutes, then I'll let you go." You hugged him close and could feel him shifting in your arms, you loosened your grip. You knew he wouldn't agree, this was too far from his element.
But the joy you felt when a pair of arms wrapped back around from inside the jacket, as the small skeleton snuggled into you.
"i can stay, i dont have anywhere to be anytime soon. hold me hostage as long as you want, merry gyftmas (Y/n)." Your smile widened as he spoke, he was being uncharacteristically sweet and you were feeling drunk off it.
"Merry Gyftmas Sans." You leaned down and kissed the top of his skull before resting your chin on him.
Little did he know, you were going to keep him here forever.

Chapter Text
You were only a few feet away from your appartment building when you noticed the small sized crowd. You slowed down and approached with caution, getting just close enough to see and hear them without being spotted yourself.
"Come on guys, I don't want any trouble." Sounded like BP, you couldn't see him but this definitely didn't sound friendly.
"Come on kitty cat, we just wanna have some fun." Yeah, definitely not friendly.
"Sorry fellas, you're not really my idea of 'fun', so I'm gonna pass." You finally spotted BP trying to exit the group, but he was pulled back by the him of his shirt and slammed into the side of the building.
Yeah, time to get involved... somehow. You didn't really have a plan but BP didn't really have time for you to make one, so with blind confidence you ran in.
You approached the group slowly, your clicking heels drawing the attention of the small group.
"Hey babe, I was worried when you didn't show up. Is everything okay?" You stopped just a couple feet away and gave a concerned look to BP, who looked confused, but thankfully unharmed.
"Hey cutie, why don't you run along now? Your boyfriend here's a little busy at the moment." The guy pinning BP to the wall spoke as he eyed you up and down, gross.
"Back off, or I'm calling the police!" You pulled out your phone and dialed 911 as you spoke, your thumb hovering the button as you turned it to show them.
You didn't really wanna have a fight right now. There were too many to keep the fight civil and you didn't wanna drag BP into that, or explain...
"Tsh" The man dropped BP into the dirt and playing the roll of the good girlfriend you ran to his side. "Let's go, the chick killed the vibe."
The small group shuffled away and you offered BP a hand, which he blatantly ignored and stood up on his own.
"Great, twice now I've been saved by the random human girl and her tiny dress. Fucking hate being a cat monster." BP gumbled as he dusted off his clothes and shoved past you to go inside.
"You're welcome!" You yelled, annoyed and exasperated. You rolled your eyes and crossed your arms as you stood outside the building.
You were literally just trying to help, it's not your fault.
You kicked a rock and it flew across the street before skipping to a halt, with a deep breath you uncross your arms and headed into the building.
You walked into the elevator and pushed the button for the fourth floor before leaning against the wall. You let your eyes close as you waited for the elevator to take off, you didn't really have any plans for the rest of the night. Maybe try cooking something with all the monster food, or just lazy around your appartment.
Choices, choices.
Just as the elevator doors closed your phone dinged in your pocket, you pulled it out as you slumped against the wall.
-Diz
Time 4 u 2 pay me back. Meet here.
The next text was an address...
It took you a few minutes to remember the edgy rabbit woman who showed you where the monster shops were. You opened the address in your maps and it was a bar, a monster bar, with monster alcohol.
This edgy rabbit has just saved your entire boring ass night!
It took longer then you would've liked to get there and Diz was blowing up your phone the entire time. As the bar finally came into view you almost busted into a sprint, but with all the patrons outside you kept it chill, casual, totally not overly excited to go to a random bar with a drunk bunny girl.
You pushed open the door and the bars warm atmosphere alone was intoxicating. The booths and tables around you were full, monsters and humans alike getting drunk off their asses together, and the sight was heart warming. The walls were linned were photos of various monsters sitting in a similar bar, and some were signed.
As you made your way up to the bar you took in everything the bar had to offer, including the delicious smell of food coming from the back. You were about to take a seat when someone called out for you.
"Yo, Olive, down here hun!" You looked to the voice to see Diz on the other end of the bar, guess you'd missed her...
You hopped up and made your way down.
"Hey Diz, sorry it took so long, I walked here." You sat down at the empty stool next to her as she looked you up and down.
"And got dressed up, no wonder you took so long..." She groaned and waved her hand for the bartender but they were no where in sight.
"Oh, actually I was uh... on a date before this..." She perked up at your words, turning to face you with a sly grin.
"Oh yeah? What did I make you miss out on dick?" She busted out laughing and you couldn't help but join.
"No, nothing like that, date was a bust so I was actually headed back to my appartment when I got your text."
"Boo!" She groaned and rested her chin on the bar.
"So what's got you here drinking? Your text made it sound like you needed to get blasted." So far prying has made monsters dislike you, but Diz seemed drunk enough it should be fine.
"Ugh, so get this, my fucking boss is a fucking dick!" She slammed her hand down and sat back up looking around. "Yo, where the fuck is Grilby?!"
"Don't know who that is... But while we wait you can talk shit on your boss~" You spoke in a sing song voice and leaned into her making her snort.
After that she told you everything that had been going on, from work to family stuff. As well as some intresting news about monsters disappearing.
"So not only are we paid less, but now there's less of us. Which is just stupid now that there's jobs only monsters can do!" She flung her hands around as she spoke, before slouching in her seat again.
"There are jobs only monsters can do?" You hadn't heard about that, but you also never bothered to learn about anything involving a job...
"Yeah, well humans can... just isn't practical and I don't think you guys know how?" She looked confused, you were gonna pressed further but something, well, someone else caught her attention first.
She shot up out of her chair and pointed behind the bar yelling.
"Grillby! My wallet is here, let me get another drink!" Diz pointed to you before letting her face fall on the bar.
You looked up to finally see the Grillby, who apparently cut her off earlier for lack of funds...
He was a purple flame monster, and a hot one at that. Ha ha.
The mass of flames looked at you before cracking a smile.
"You owe Diz a favor? She'll drink you dry you know." He voice was deep and had a strange crackle to it.
"Psh, not if I drink me dry first!" Grillby laughed at your determined face.
You and Diz put in your orders and cheered before downing your drinks. You have no idea what you were drinking, you just copied Diz drink for drink, but it was definitely worth it. The sweet buzz of the alcohol was warming in your soul, and after a few more you were in the best mood of your life.
"Are you drunk?" You turned your head to see Diz looking down at you as little worried.
Her face was flushed a burnt orange and her ears were flattened down.
"You're drunk." You laughed as you bopped her nose, causing her own resolve to crumble into a fit of laughter with you.
"Alright hun, let's get you home." Diz grabbed your arm and threw it over your shoulder, once you were secure she grabbed your wallet and handed Grillby your card.
Once everything was paid the two of you made your way to your appartment, singing the last song you'd heard at the bar together.
Eventually you stumbled up to your door and had to figure out how keys worked again, much to Diz's dismay. Thankfully you got the poor rabbit in from the cold eventually.
You both stumbled to the couch and fell over eachother, Diz landing on your back as you face planted into the couch.
"You should stay the night, it's late and you're drunk." You tried to speak but your words were muffled by the cushions.
"All I got was stay the night and I'm letting you know now, I don't do that interspecies shit, or, whatever."
Your head shot off the cushion as you tried to look back. "No no, I meant like on the couch!"
"Chill, I get ya hun, now move. I wanna sleep!" She rolled off your back and sat on the floor.
You pushed yourself up and took a good minute to get steady before going to your room, you didn't have any extra blankets so she'd just have to use yours. Not like you actually needed it anyway.
You snatched it up before heading back to find Diz all sprawled out on the couch. You chuckled as you tossed the blanket over her and headed back to bed.
