Chapter 1: Chapter One
Chapter Text
It was a quiet day at UA High School, a rarity for class 1-A, until a black haired kid with strange clothing suddenly appeared in the common room with a loud cracking sound.
The young man looked around and muttered to himself, “Where in the bloody hell am I? I swear I have the worst luck with each year I go to Hogwarts.”
The students that were in the common room looked at the young man in front of them questioningly until a green haired young man spoke up, “This is UA High School. You just appeared in the common area of the dorms for Class 1-A.” He looked as if he were assessing a threat level mentally. “Two questions for you first before anything else. Who are you? And how did you get here?”
The newcomer blinked at the intense green eyes that were just a shade darker than his own and cocked his head, “My name is Harry Potter, I am from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I can tell you in all honesty, I haven’t a bloody clue how I got here. One moment I’m dealing with one of my classmates and the next I’m in an entirely new place with absolutely no idea what happened. Not that that’s anything different from my normal school years.” He scoffed. “Is this a muggle school? I’ve never heard of UA High School ever in my life.”
“Muggle? What’s that? And what's Hogwarts?” The greenette looked at Harry curiously. “Are they something from where you come from?”
Before Harry could open his mouth to answer, a gruff voice interrupted as a cloth wrapped tightly around his middle and pinned Harry’s arms to his side, “Problem Child, what is going on?” Harry looked at where the voice came from seeing an older gentleman in a black jumpsuit with a cloth wrapped around his neck and shoulders tightly held in his hands, his hair standing up with glowing red eyes focused on him. “I thought we had enough going on this year without another incident under your belts.”
“Mr. Aizawa!” A girl with brown hair, and pink cheeks spoke up, “For once this isn’t our fault. We were just about to get into movie night since there’s no school tomorrow. He just popped in out of nowhere with a loud crack. We were just about to send Iida to get you for this.”
The older man sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, “Just one week, that’s all I’ve asked for. Alright, I want everyone down here, we can use this as an opportunity to learn something new.” He turned to a blue haired boy, “Iida, go around and get everyone.”
The boy bowed stiffly, turning to do as he was told, giving Harry a clear view of the exhaust pipes that were embedded in his thighs. “Sero, tape this kid securely so that I can go make sure that there are no unneeded explosions when Bakugou gets woken up.” A young man with oddly shaped elbows nodded and sent out tape from those elbows to wind around Harry to replace the cloth.
Aizawa, sighing once more, and with a deadpan expression turned toward the elevators.
The greenette that had been speaking with Harry sheepishly looked at him and said, “Mr. Aizawa can be fairly intense, especially when it comes to us. We’ve had a few things happen to us this year that we weren’t prepared for in the slightest.” He smiled brightly, “I’m sure this will all clear up easily, and we won’t have to worry about anything else coming up. We just want a week to decompress.”
Harry nodded, “I can understand that, having a crazy murderer after you since you were born is irritating to say the least. Aizawa actually reminds me of one of my teachers.” He mused, “That would be an interesting match to see.” He was guided to a comfortable chair to sit in while they waited for the ones who had left to come back.
They didn’t have to wait long as students trickled in from different areas. Harry observed some interesting features coming into the room, a girl with jacks coming from her earlobes, a boy with red and white hair split evenly down the middle, and a few others that made his eyebrows raise into his hairline. Aizawa came back into the room, his scarf wrapped tightly around a blonde boy muttering obscenities and glaring at everything around him. Nonplussed, Aizawa put him next to the greenette with a glare and grabbed a chair to sit in front of Harry.
“Alright,” Aizawa started with a menacing stare. “We know two things about you, and I have a few more questions for you.” His eyes never lost the glowing red as they bore into Harry’s soul.
Harry shivered and thought, ‘I wonder if this is just another version of Snape. They would get along swimmingly.’ He grinned.
“What’s so funny kid? I wouldn’t be smiling in a room full of unknown people and abilities with no way to defend yourself.” Aizawa stated, frustration coloring his tone.
“Oh I’m not smiling at you sir, more an errant thought. You remind me of one of my professors at school and I thought it would be amusing to see you two meet. But I also had the realization that I don’t need that in my life. I have enough shit going on that I don’t need anything else added.” Harry grinned ruefully. “As for ‘not being able to defend myself’, that’s not really a thing. I always have my own protections on me. I mean, I’d probably get in trouble with the Ministry again if I did use it, but it probably wouldn’t get me expelled. What exactly is this place? I’ve seen a few strange things in my life, werewolves, grindylows and the like. But this takes the cake.” He nodded his chin at Iida, “He has literal exhaust pipes growing out of his calves, the punk rock girl looks to have jacks coming out of her earlobes. And a couple of these fine kids have extra appendages. I’d love to tell you about myself. But could I please get a drink?”
Aizawa, brow furrowed, nodded slightly. “Kaminari, go grab him a glass of water. We’ll go from there. Leaning forward and resting his knees on his elbows, Aizawa allowed his hair to fall and eyes went back to a natural black color that reminded Harry more and more of Snape. When Kaminari came back with the glass of water, Aizawa propped it up to Harry’s lips so that the liquid could slip past his lips. Setting the glass down, he slouched forward. “So, Harry, you’ve said that you’re from a school called Hogwarts and that you have no idea where you are. What exactly is your Quirk? How does it function?”
Harry looks at the dark haired man for a few minutes, confusion covering his face, “What is a Quirk, exactly? Is that a type of obscure magic?” He tried to not let the panic that was bubbling in his stomach show on his face.
“A quirk is a genetic mutation that gives people abilities, take Iida for example, he can run incredibly fast due to those engines. Sero shoots tape out of his elbows that is incredibly versatile.” Aizawa explains, “Mine allows me to disrupt all but the anthropomorphic external quirks, like Ojiro or Asui. Most of the world’s population has one. There are some that have no quirks whatsoever, but that’s incredibly rare.” Harry notices the greenette looking uncomfortable when this is said. As if he’s hiding a secret.
Harry is silent for a moment before nodding in understanding. “It’s kind of the same with magic. Those who don’t have it are called Muggles and those that do are Witches and Wizards. Muggles are looked down on as if they’re inferior. Sounds like both societies are the same. Instead of realizing that people are just people. It’s rather stupid.” As he opens his mouth to say anything more, another cracking sound happens as a platinum blonde wearing similar clothing to Harry’s appears in the common room.
Aizawa’s scarf immediately wraps around the new person’s torso causing an indignant squawk. He tugs the blonde over to where Harry is sitting and shoves the blonde into another chair that is placed next to him by the girl with the earphones. “Who in the absolute hell are you? We just got one intruder, we really don’t need another one.” He growls, his teeth gritting tightly together.
“Scar head,” the blonde says, ignoring Aizawa. “What the fuck did you do this time? I thought we had agreed to NOT have something weird happen this year after the tournament fiasco last year.”
Harry smiles ruefully, “Draco, you would think that you’d learned by now that I don’t exactly ask for these types of things to happen. They just do. As for the unspoken question, we’re in a place called UA High School, the disgruntled man in front of us that is giving off major Snape vibes is Aizawa. I’m pretty sure he’s the main teacher here, maybe the headmaster. But he was just explaining something called Quirks to me when suddenly you showed up. How on earth did that happen anyway?”
The blonde, Draco, snorted, “Had to make sure your dumb ass didn’t die. I’m a little too fond of it for that to happen. And I think it happened because of a random room that showed up. I found it on the map and followed. I may have forgotten to tell Severus, so that’s gonna be a fun conversation for if, and when we get back.”
Aizawa glared at the pair, his Quirk activating again, “Draco, was it? Would you care to elaborate? I’d really like to see if we can figure out how to get two obviously quirkless people back to where they belong. Which is not this school.”
Draco looked apathetically at Aizawa, and turned his head back to Harry with a quirked eyebrow. He then shook his head and looked back to Aizawa, “I’d appreciate it if you would unbind the two of us. We are not threats to you or your students. Hell, Harry and I are still students ourselves. Looking at a lot of these kids, they could take us down very easily just due to sheer size. And maybe we can show you what we can do in an exchange?”

Chapter Text
Aizawa paused for a moment, gazing at the two boys bound in the chairs before him. Sighing for the umpteenth time in the short twenty minutes that they had been there, he stood and nodded. “Alright, we can do that. But if I think there is anything that will harm my students with no way of being healed, I will end your lives without a second thought. Is that understood?”
Harry and Draco shared a brief look before nodding in agreement to the stipulations. With that confirmation, Aizawa stood and released his scarf from around Draco before pulling the knife located in the small of his back to cut Harry free. There was a moment pause before Harry stepped closer to Draco and entwined their fingers together. Aizawa’s eyebrow rose slightly at the gesture but made no comment.
“Alright,” Aizawa started, looking around at all of his students gathered around the room. “We will be going out to Ground Beta to see what they can do and to show them what some of the Quirks can do. Maybe even have a small battle to see if they are capable. We may be able to use them against the League of Villains.” He turned, jerked his head toward the doors and began leading the group to Ground Beta.
Harry and Draco followed close to Aizawa, speaking to each other quietly to plan who would show the offensive spells and the defensive spells. It did not take more than ten minutes to get to their destination. Aizawa opened the gate and gestured for the group to go inside. They trekked in quietly and waited for him to close the gate and move back to the front of the group.
“Alright, here’s what we’re going to do. We will have Harry and Draco give us a demonstration of what they can do first and once that is done, some of our class will demonstrate their Quirks. If you do not behave you will be put under house arrest, again.” Aizawa glared at his class. “Harry, Draco, what do you need in order to do the demonstration?”
The two boys looked at each other consideringly. “I think just a little bit away from the group would be best. That way we can use some of our more intense skills without the risk of someone getting hurt.” Harry said slowly. Aizawa nodded and gestured for the students to step back a few paces.
Harry and Draco took stances 10 paces between them, their wands held loosely enough to not be immediately threatening, but in a way that clearly showed a quick reaction when needed. They bowed to each other and immediately began casting spell after spell. Going from the typical jinxes and working up to more advanced, darker spells that they had learned together from training with Severus Snape in preparation for the inevitable battle with Voldemort back home.
After 10 minutes, Aizawa called a stop to the demonstration. He looked at the two boys, noticing that they were not showing signs of fatigue or strain. He cocked his head in thought before turning to his students. “Bakugou, Midoriya, Uraraka, I want you to show what you can do. After that we’ll have Harry and Draco go against Bakugou and Midoriya head to head.”
“Fuck yeah, being woken up will actually be worth something. I’ve been wanting to blow something or someone up because of that.” The blonde boy with piercing red eyes, dressed in a tight black tank top and looser sleeping pants snarked. He cracked his neck and walked away from the group, to the curiosity of Harry and Draco. “Aizawa! How much of a demonstration am I doing? All out or just a little bit?”
Aizawa considered the question for a moment. He called out, “Just try to not decimate the area and you’ll be good. I want to see how much we need to work on to get you better control.” The blonde nodded as he stopped in a nearby intersection.
Bracing his wrists, he let a small explosion ignite from his palms. After those small explosions he braced one hand on his hip with the other creating a circle in front of the palm. Aiming at a wall he called out, “AP Shot!” He grinned, looking slightly manic as the explosion hit the intended target. Pointing his hands toward the ground he propelled himself into the air and took a few tight turns before dropping back down to the ground lightly. “What do you think, teach? I don’t exactly have my grenades to do bigger explosions without fucking my arms up a bit. Not to the extent of Deku, but still fucked up for a bit.” As he walked back toward the group he made a pointed look at the greenette.
“Limits are good to know, Bakugou. They keep you from overexerting yourself. Uraraka! You’re up! Who do you want to use as your dummy” Aizawa looked at the girl with chocolate colored hair.
She tapped her chin with a finger before pointing at a boy with red hair and shark like teeth. “Kirishima! Wanna float for a bit?” She asked, a grin on her face. The boy nodded enthusiastically and walked over to her.
Looking at her, he asked, “Are we doing that move we’ve been working on?” She nodded as her smile grew sharper than before. She looked over at Aizawa and waited for him to go ahead.
He nodded at her. “Same rules apply to you as they did to Bakugou. Is that understood? I understand that the move you’re wanting to do does cause damage, just don’t make it excessive.”
The two went to the same area where Bakugou had set off his explosions. Uraraka stood behind Kirishima as he became rock-like. When he nodded at her, she put her hands on his back. Harry and Draco looked on surprised as the boy began to float higher and higher in the air. After a few minutes, Uraraka shouted “Release!”. Kirishima whooped as he came hurtling back to the ground, causing a crater in the intersection. He climbed out of the crater with a shit eating grin as he walked over to Uraraka and gave her a high five.
“Alright, Midoriya you’re up last. Again, same rules as the others. Try using all aspects that your Quirk has. But please, for the love of God, don’t do any damage to yourself or Recovery Girl will skin both our asses.” Aizawa leveled a look at the greenette, who blushed a little as he nodded. He made his way close to the crater and as he stood, green lightning began to engulf his body. His eyes, already a brilliant shade of green, gained a shine to them that made them even more prominent.
He took a deep breath before jumping into the air and kicked a pipe that was above him, causing it to buckle under the force. He pushed himself off the pipe as it was falling to bounce around the still intact pipes. Midoriya then released a tendril of black smoke like rope from his wrist, which attached to a point away from the group, and pulled toward the anchored point. He then swung back to the group before skidding to a halt. With barely any indication of exertion, he looked at Aizawa, “What do you think sir? I think I got better with Shoot Style, I just need to figure out how to better utilize Black Whip. I may be able to turn it into a capture move, instead of just propelling.”
There was a nod of acknowledgement. Aizawa then turned to Harry, Draco, Midoriya, Bakugou and Uraraka. “Alright you guys, I want you to do a sparring session. Use everything around you, not just what you can see. This will be a ten minute spar so as to not overwhelm you.” The group nodded at the instructions and made their way toward a different intersection that was still within eyesight of Aizawa. As soon as they were deemed ready, Aizawa told them to begin.
The first thing Draco and Harry did was duck into the shadows to pull Harry’s invisibility cloak out of his pocket. They slipped it on Draco’s shoulders so that he disappeared. After he was covered, Harry tapped the top of his head with his wand, casting a silent Disillusionment charm to obscure him. Without any need for verbal communication, they each set off to different corners of the intersection and made their way up to the roof tops.
Midoriya, Bakugou and Uraraka noticed the two boys slip into the shadows, but after waiting a few moments, they looked at each other before splitting up into the buildings. Bakugou was silent as he climbed up the side of a building close by, not wanting to give away his position to the boys. Midoriya pulled himself up to the top of the water tower and crouched in the railing looking for any sign of the boys. Uraraka floated herself to the building across from Bakugou and waited for a signal from the boys to attack.
There was a tense moment before a spell was sent to where Uraraka was standing on the building. The jet of energy had a gray-blue hue before hitting her in the chest, transforming her into a burrowing owl. She landed on the ledge of the building unable to fly or float. With one of the three opponents taken care of, Harry and Draco moved to meet up at a specified point to regroup. Once they came together they stayed in the shadows but removed the obscurations.
Harry smiled, “Who do we go after next? Blondie or Greenie?” He bounced on the balls of his feet as Draco chuckled, shaking his head with an amused exasperation. “ I think we should go after Greenie next. Blondie should be fairly easy to take down. Greenie is gonna take some time. I think we should start using the darker curses. That way we can get more practice using them in a battle.”
There was a nod of acknowledgement. “How dark are we going? Like obviously not an AK. But do we use the other two? Do you think we’ll even get in trouble here for it? Not gonna lie, it wouldn’t be a bad thing to potentially use, kind of fight fire with fire.”
While the two were hashing out their plans, they did not notice that Bakugou and Midoriya had met up to make plans of their own. Bakugou asked, impatiently, “What’s the plan Deku? Think you got enough for a plan to win?” He looked expectantly at Midoriya, waiting for his response.
Tapping his chin, Midoriya went through different ideas. “We can try and get those stick things away from them, that might be like a support item to help. I don’t know if we’d be able to get that close to them though, and I don’t have nearly enough control with Black Whip to stay in the shadows that close to them.” He looked at Bakugou, “Kacchan, do you want to be a diversion? Get them focused on you so that I can take the sticks?”
Bakugou’s grin turned into a scowl at the suggestion. “Don't tell me what to do you damn Deku.” He cracked his neck and flexed his hands, getting ready for a few different options to draw them out. He walked toward where he had last seen the wizards. Smirking, he mentally planned out how he was going to get them to follow him. As he got to where he had planned, he let out a couple of explosions to get himself up onto the roof. He kept an eye out for the wizards waiting to pounce the moment they made themselves seen.
Harry looked at Draco, “Think we should just not bother with being unseen? That way we can better see what we’re up against. And if they figure out a way to take our wands, we are fairly good at hand to hand combat as well as some wandless spells. We can also both fit under the invisibility cloak for a minute if we need to hide quickly and get into a covered spot.” There were a few minutes of quiet breathing before Draco answered,”I think that’s a good idea, but if I get the winning blow I demand a blow job from you.”
Harry laughed, and shook his head, “I don’t think that’ll be a problem. What am I supposed to say? No, Draco, I’m not going to give you something that I thoroughly enjoy doing. I can’t believe you’d think I wouldn’t do that anyway.” Draco grinned. He clapped Harry on the shoulder and pushed him toward the middle of the square. They walked with their shoulders together and kept an eye on their surroundings. Harry heard the direction that the explosions came from and jerked his head in that direction, signaling to Draco to go toward the sound.

Chapter Text
The class, standing in the observation section of Ground Beta, looked at each other with concern. They didn’t understand the mention of ‘spells’ and ‘curses’ in the context of this battle. After they retrieved Uraraka from her position, they noticed that she wasn’t turning back into her normal form. Aizawa used his Quirk on her and it didn’t cause the change to reverse. Looking at the group of four boys, he crossed his arms with a furrow in his brow as the worry in his mind began to gnaw. They all watched the group with trepidation, waiting to see who made the first move.
Harry noticed the ash blonde hair peeking out from the ledge of the roof in front of them. He gently nudged Draco and pointed his chin toward that area. Draco nodded and immediately had his wand in his hand loosely, ready to cast a spell at the first sign of danger. They slowed their pace just a little bit so as to appear unhurried while scanning the area for Deku. The air was tense. Neither pair of boys made their move, waiting for the other to crack first.
There was a beat of quiet, where only the wind made any significant noise, when Bakugou whooped as loud explosions began to fill the area with a light dusting of smoke. “Come here you fucks! You think you’re tough shit, I’ll beat you without fucking Deku’s help! I don’t need the shitty nerd here.” He landed in front of the wizards with a manic gleam in his piercing red eyes. He pointed both arms, palms out at them and yelled, “Die motherfuckers!” After the explosions, he then ran toward the tower.
Draco and Harry coughed slightly at the amount of smoke and dust that was standing in the air. Draco shook his head as the shield that he had created dissipated. “Well, that was certainly interesting. Why on Earth did he tell us to die? That’s just rude on a first date.” Draco drawled with a smirk causing Harry to bust a seam, putting his hands on his knees to keep from falling down.
“Jesus Christ, Draco.” Harry shook his head, “I don’t think that they’d be into that. Or even into each other?” He straightened himself and began walking again with Draco. The snickering answer was enough to make Harry sigh in exasperation.
“I do wish we had our brooms on us, it would be nice to fly and get a bird’s eye view of the battlefield. We probably could stay out of their reach if that were a possibility as well. I wish we’d been on our way to a seeker’s game before this.” Draco said, shrugging his shoulders. Looking over to Harry, “So to make sure we’re on the same page, you’re on offense and I’m on defense?”
Harry nodded, “We play to our strengths. I’m not exactly great at defensive spells. But that’s why we work so well together, we can practically read each other’s minds at this point with all the practice we’ve done. At some point we will want to switch just to cause some confusion and throw them off. But that’ll depend on if we even get to that point. There’s a very real chance that this will be either incredibly hard or laughably easy.” He pointed to the water tower as it was getting closer and closer to them, “I’m pretty sure Deku is up there and that Bakugou is being used to bait us in a way they want. Shall we get under the cloak and scale to get Deku taken care of?”
Draco practically dragged Harry forward into the closest shadowed corner before throwing the cloak over the both of them. As a precaution, Harry cast a silencing spell on their feet before the both started to slowly make their way to the tower. As they got closer, they kept a keen eye around them to see if either of the boys noticed the movement. As they got to one of the ladders, Harry cast a disillusionment spell so that he could climb up ahead of Draco without the cloak on him. As he silently climbed over the railing, Harry noticed that Deku was close enough to cast a quick Incarcerous. He waited for Draco to sidle up behind him. When he felt Draco’s hand on his shoulder, he silently cast Petrificus Totalus to immobilize Deku and quickly cast Incarcerous to keep him bound.
Deku, looking out toward the expected location of travel for the two wizards, did not notice until the first spell was cast. When he felt the spells hit, he attempted to call out to Bakugou but he was not able to get the sound past his lips. His eyes moved frantically to survey his surroundings, his eyes landing on the wizards unveiling themselves. The world began to close in on him as he began to pant heavily.
Draco, keeping an eye out for Bakugou, stepped over Deku to ready a spell at the explosive blonde. Harry moved up to Deku to make sure that there was no lasting damage. When he crouched closer to the boy, he saw that Deku was having a panic attack. He quickly cast Muffiliato and privacy wards before slowly putting his hands on Deku’s shoulders. Looking the boy in the eyes, Harry said slowly, “I am going to unbind you, I didn’t realize you would have any issues with being bound like this. When I do, I want you to keep looking me in the eyes, put your hands on my chest and match my breathing. Is that okay?” He tried to keep the immense worry from bleeding too far into his voice.
Deku, unsuccessfully attempting to control his breathing on his own, looked at Harry with a mild panic and nodded his head minutely.
Harry quickly released the spells and helped Deku to sit up, place his hands on Harry’s chest and started to count out breaths for Deku to follow. As he felt the boy's breathing slow, Harry pulled him into a slight hug and whispered, “I’m so sorry for that. I didn’t mean to cause a panic attack. I know how bad those can get and did not want to cause anything like that. Are you better now?” Snapping his fingers, Harry reached into his robes and pulled out a bar of Honeyduke’s finest chocolate to break into bite size chunks. “Chocolate helps with everything. Best thing I ever learned a couple years ago from a teacher that had to leave the school, despite being an amazing teacher. Chew slowly, I don’t want you to die on it.”
Deku took the offered treat with shaky hands. “Why are you being so nice about this?” He tilted his head at Harry as he asked his questions. “I’m not your ally. Is this normal for you?
Harry shook his head, “I always try to help the people that I can. Nobody deserves to suffer needlessly. I’ve had to deal with people making me suffer for too much of my life. I’d rather help if I can.” He sat next to Deku, their backs against the metal of the tower. “It seems like you’re of the same mindset as I am.”
Deku nodded absentmindedly. “I’d like to think that I can help everyone possible. I know it’s not realistic but I still want to try. There’s so much going wrong and it would be nice for it not to go to shit.” He picked at his fingernails before continuing, “I don’t know your background but it seems like you know about society not being exactly accepting of things beyond your control.”
Harry hummed in response, “When this battle is over, you and I can sit down and chat about it. I noticed you wince when Aizawa said something about people without quirks.” Harry looked at Draco, “Can you see him?”
Draco shook his head slightly. “Not yet, he’s surprisingly quiet.” He kept his eyes trained on the horizon while addressing Deku, “Is there anything that I need to know that’s pressing? Like any crazy triggers that would cause either a panic attack or a rampage?”
Deku nodded, knowing that Draco couldn’t see him. “He has the same issue with being restrained the way that I do. Ours were caused by the same villain. And he was kidnapped just a little while ago by some fuckers that kept him bound with his arms behind his back. If you have a way to prevent that from happening you should be fine.” Deku sighed, “He’s an asshole but he means well.”
Harry snorted, “Gee, I can’t think of anybody that matches that description in the slightest.” He smirked when Draco shot a two finger salute at him. Deku cocked his head to the side in confusion but quickly shook it.
Draco, noticing the ash blonde jumping from roof to roof, turned to Harry and asked, “Should I just incarcerate him, direct the ropes to mostly get his legs and shoulders?”
Harry nodded at him sharply. “That’s going to be the best way to do it for sure. I’d rather not have Aizawa hate us for causing two panic attacks in his students.”
Draco hummed. When Bakugou got closer to them, Draco silently cast Incarcerous at his legs to knock Bakugou over. After the spell was cast, they listened to the blonde angrily sputter and curse his surroundings. They heard Aizawa call the match and began making their way down to the class. Harry held his hand out to help Deku stand up before directing him to go down the ladder before Harry followed. Once they were on the ground, Harry sent Draco and Deku to Aizawa before making his way over to the blonde on the ground.
“Finite” he said simply, reaching his hand down to Bakugou. “That was well done, you and Deku work well together.”
Bakugou scoffed bitterly, “That nerd is a pain in the ass crybaby, doesn’t know when to make the finishing blow.” He kicked the ground with his sneakers. “Can’t fuckin’ stand him. Always looking down on me and shit.” He stalked back to where the class was standing, leaving a baffled Harry behind him to catch up.
‘I wonder what the story there is. It can’t be anything good, that's for sure.’ Harry thought, his mind racing through how best to handle the boy.
When they reached Aizawa, Draco flicked his wrist at Uraraka, turning her back to her normal self. She looked at him with thanks in her eyes and a quick nod in his direction. As Harry and Bakugou joined the group, Aizawa looked pensive before saying, “Alright, Draco and Harry, I’d like to get more of an explanation about what your power does and why it’s pretty much the same thing. Bakugou, Midoriya, I want you to tell me what you saw and your interactions with the two. Uraraka, what did it feel like being turned into an owl?”
Uraraka shivered, “It was the weirdest sensation. One minute I’m my normal self and then the next I’m looking at the world from an entirely different perspective. The only reason I didn’t get majorly hurt was because I was so close to the ledge I landed on. Changing back was the same thing. It was also a cold sensation, almost like when you get the feeling that something is wrong.” She then moved back toward a pink skinned girl to give the others a chance to speak.
“Bakugou, Midoriya, what about your experiences?” Aizawa gave a stern glare to Bakugou, “Try to not use profanity as every other word, understood?”
Bakugou pouted, “It was annoying to try and find them, they had something that practically erased their presence the whole time. They also stayed in the shadows when they weren’t hiding. At the end, the feeling of fucking ropes truss me up like a fucking animal was disconcerting. Luckily I still had use of my hands to land safely on the ground.” He glared at Draco angrily, “This fucker is the one who did it, there was a jet of energy that made impact before the ropes actually hit.”
Draco shrugged at the glare and turned his attention to Midoriya.
“I agree that they were able to hide incredibly well. They made no sound when they came up behind me on the water tower. When they got me, it triggered a panic attack as the ropes were spread too close to areas that caused them before. Harry did something other than the ropes that completely robbed me of movement other than my eyes and basic automatic responses like breathing before the ropes hit. When he noticed that I was having the attack, he did something to muffle the ambient sound and released the energies before guiding me through breathing exercises. He then gave me some chocolate, which I’m still confused about, but it did help to calm me down. He also asked about any triggers that Kacchan had just to be on the safe side so that there wasn’t any unnecessary damage. He told Draco how to manipulate the rope thing before he hit Kacchan with that energy.” Midoriya said, his eyes shining with possible questions to ask the wizards to understand their abilities better.
“Midoriya, you can ask your questions later. Harry, Draco, are there other abilities that you have that would be a potential fatality or cause undue pain? And what causes the energy that those three were talking about?” Aizawa asked, his face somewhat grim as he looked at the wizards for an explanation.
Harry and Draco looked at each other briefly before Draco spoke up, “Our ability is called Magic, it is an innate energy that resides in us. It allows us to manipulate our surroundings or people. It can be used to harm, heal, incapacitate and to kill. There are certain spells, which is the energy of the magic being pulled from our core, that are called Unforgivable Curses. They are named as such because they can be used to kill, control and torture people. There have been instances of those spells being used to make individuals lose everything that they are mentally even though their body is still healthy. Most spells are fairly harmless unless you use them offensively. There are also spells that are specifically for defense of yourself and others, depending on how much of your magic you use.”
Harry picked up the explanation, “Some spells come to people easier than others. Take Draco and I for example. I’m better at casting offensive spells, being more likely to bring an opponent down quickly and efficiently. Draco is better at the defensive spells, protecting others and causing opponents to exhaust themselves before ending a fight. That’s not to say that we can’t switch between the two. We just have things that come easier. There are also spells that can be used in specific situations. We have creatures called Dementors that can literally suck your soul from your body. But there is a spell that can ward them off and cause them to leave your presence. Not many wizards can cast this spell as you have to have happy memories that basically consume your thoughts to overpower the ambient energy that they exude. But there are spells, like the Incarcerous spell that can be used as something as simple as a prank to save your life when you need to. There are definitely spells that cover what we call the Dark Arts, these are more in line with using more questionable methods to affect others. They can still be used in defense, but that is not their primary function.”
Aizawa’s face became a little paler than normal as he thought about the possibilities that could be used against his students. He looked at Harry and Draco with a look of attempted understanding. “You previously mentioned Muggles, explain what those are to me. And is there any way for others to protect themselves from this Magic?”
Harry sighed, “A Muggle is someone who has no magical core in their body. There are other labels, Muggleborn which are wizards that are born from Muggles and have that magical core. There are Half-bloods, like myself, where one parent comes from an already magical family. The last one is what is called a Pureblood, these are people who are born to two parents that are from magical families. Some Pureblood families have proclivities to either Dark or Light magic. Basically they lean more toward the spells that are a little more aggressive or more defensive. Not to say either are bad, just different. We have a teacher, Professor Snape who is training Draco and I specifically to use and recognize all manner of spells to prepare for a fucking prophesy that was made about me and a dumb ass Dark Lord that decided to come back from the dead.” Harry’s expression darkened with barely restrained anger, the area around him crackling as his magic slipped his control before Draco intertwined their fingers gently. He took a deep breath and got his magic back under control.
“I think I understand the gist. To confirm, Muggles are exactly like the Quirkless people that are in our society. Is there a way for us to recognize and defend against the spells that you mentioned? The ones that can kill, torture or control?” the pink skinned girl piped up, at a look of confusion from the boys, “My name is Mina Ashido.”
The boys looked at the class in front of them. Slowly Harry nodded, “The killing curse cannot be blocked by magic. You can evade and put an inanimate object to take the hit. But if someone is hit by that spell, the person drops. The torture spell can also be evaded, which is the best option for all spells that you can. It makes your nerves feel intense pain, overloading your system and causes a person to drop and convulse until the caster releases the spell. The spell to control people can be fought even if you’ve been hit with it. It depends on your mental fortitude for it to work. I am able to fight it off, but it’s a disconcerting feeling, you are subject to the caster’s will and they can make you do absolutely anything they want to.”
Kirishima tilted his head, “So are there more of you? Like with the same abilities? And are they going to be able to find you here?”
Draco considered the questions for a moment. “There are quite a few people with the same abilities. We actually go to a school that teaches us how to harness the magic better. As for finding us, I’m not entirely sure. Scarhead, did your godfather give you an emergency portkey to get to him in case of shit hitting the fan?”
Harry nodded slowly and pulled his hand up to his chin. “Do you think we’d be able to get back through apparition after using it? Since we know exactly where it is. I almost want to send you back to see if it works. Maybe have one of these kids go with you, if Aizawa is amenable to that option.” He looked at Aizawa as he mentioned the latter part of his proposal.
The tired man pinched the bridge of his nose in exasperation. “Is there a limit to how many people can be transported by this portkey? I’d like to keep my problem children together so that I can keep an eye on them. They tend to get themselves into trouble when I’m not around.” He pointedly made eye contact with Midoriya and Bakugou, who uncomfortably looked at the ground. “And we might as well see what other magic people can do. Potentially figure out ways to stop the fucking League of Villains from causing anymore havoc.”
“I’m pretty sure that portkey’s can be enlarged to fit more people. Draco and I have one piece, so whoever can’t fit with me could go with him. It would take us to the same place, my Godfather, Sirius is currently in my ancestral home, the Pottery. We’re going to be directly inside the kitchen. ” Harry said, sharing a grin with Draco. “As a word of caution, traveling by portkey is an interesting experience. You’ll probably get dizzy on the landing so make sure to bend your knees and pick a point to stare at until the spinning stops.”
Chapter 4: Chapter Four
Summary:
Harry and company get to the Pottery, questions are asked. Stories are swapped between Harry and Midoriya
Notes:
Hi guys! Here's the next chapter of the absolute shenanigans with this story. The three adult wizards propose a way to question Aizawa's intention, and to get more information on what happened before they were brought into the kitchen.
Enjoy! And I'll try to get a better posting schedule! Thanks for reading!
Chapter Text
Draco motioned everyone to gather around the two wizards. “Alright, so this is going to be tight, you need to be touching the portkey before it goes off. Otherwise you’ll be left here. All you need to do is touch your pinky to it, but you’ll have to crowd each other. I hope you’re all comfortable with each other, it’ll be really awkward if you’re not.”
Kirishima, practically vibrating with excitement, hollered, “Bakusquad with Draco! Everyone else is free for all!” He immediately grabbed Bakugou’s arm and dragged him over before making him put his finger on the emerald centered pendant that had been enlarged slightly to accommodate the larger group. Draco snorted quietly at the antics of Kirishima and merely held out the pendent as far out as he could for the group going with him.
Aizawa sighed and divided the rest of the group. “Yayorozu, you’re in charge of the group going with Draco. I’ll be incharge of the group with Harry. I expect you to all be on guard but not ungrateful. This is going to be a learning experience for all of us. I expect you to learn the best way to incorporate it into your own fighting styles and quirk usage.”
The students quickly nodded their agreement and got into position around Harry and Draco. As they all pressed close to each other waiting for the signal from the wizards that they were going to be transported. There was a 10 second delay after the wizards called the passwords to their portkeys, which was just enough time for one of the students to be left behind with none the wiser until the travel completed.
The students and Aizawa looked around in confusion when they were encouraged to release the portkeys. The walls around them were loaded with pots, pans and other cooking utensils. There were dishes doing themselves at the sink in the corner while an older man, in his mid thirties happily whistling a tune was preparing some food.
Draco and Harry grinned at each other and immediately threw Tripping Jinxes at the man. They had a look of triumph that was immediately snuffed as they were bound by ropes from behind.
“You know boys, you really should be more aware of your surroundings. I also know for a fact that those portkeys were only to be used in entirely not your fault sticky situations. Not as a means of transport for a bunch of strangers.” The boys turned around sheepishly, rubbing their hands over the back of their necks, to look at the man who spoke.
The man in question, was of a wiry build, going prematurely gray in the hair with hazel eyes and a warm smile. The smile did not take away from the air of a predator in the room. Those hazel eyes raking over the strangers, taking note of their appearance and assessing the potential threat.
Harry sighed, “Moony, so um you can’t get mad at me at least, but I kind of ended up in an entirely different place due to a room at Hogwarts just appearing. Didn’t know that it was basically a ridiculously powerful portkey. But I ended up in their common room.” He gestured to the class and pointed at Aizawa. “This is their teacher, Mr. Aizawa. He reminds me of Snape a bit, which would be the most amusing meeting ever.”
“When you say that I can’t be mad at you for this one, am I to assume that Draco was the one to do the more stupid thing this time?” Moony asked, amusement coloring his voice. Looking at Draco with a smirk, “Severus would absolutely love to hear this story. So you all get comfortable while I go get the Snake in charge. Padfoot! We’re gonna need more than just Kreacher to help feed this lot.”
The man that was whistling did not turn around to acknowledge having been spoken to. Moony sighed before striding over and pulling an ear bud from him. “No wonder you didn’t hear the commotion behind you. Turn around Padfoot, you’re in for a treat. I’m going to go get Severus so that our two hellions can explain what happened at the same time. We’ll be back within the hour.”
Padfoot turned toward the group, his black hair framing gray eyes that were a little darker than Draco’s with high cheekbones and mouth slightly ajar. “Moony, why are there a bunch of weird looking people in my kitchen? And why are the godsons wrapped up?” He looked at the group, “No offense meant about the looks, just shocked is all. And welcome to the Pottery.”
Moony sighed and made his way to the fireplace that was on the other side of the kitchen. The newcomers watched in awe as he walked directly into the fire before calling out his destination and the flames flared a bright green before going back to the normal orange color. The group then turned back to Padfoot at his chuckle and saw that the table had been enlarged to fit the people in the room and more.
“Can we fucking sit or something? I’m fucking tired and can’t explode shit right now.” Bakugou snarled, looking at Aizawa, “Unless there’s a place where I can either explode some shit or take a fucking shower to get rid of some of this sweat?”
The man, Padfoot, snorted. “Dunno why you’re lookin’ at him. He doesn’t own this house. He wouldn’t exactly know where anything here is. We do have a few places where you can do spells and other things safely. We’ll also have you in bedrooms. We’re lucky that the Pottery is so fucking big, otherwise we’d never fit. But we’ll get to that after Moony and Severus get back and we eat. Now are you going to sit down or do I need to give you gilded invitations?” He rolled his eyes.
Sirius considered a moment before looking at Aizawa, “Am I to assume this is all of you? No more coming to find you? I just need to know how much food we need to get made.”
Aizawa took a cursory glance over his students, pausing a moment after noticing that there was one person missing. He couldn’t find it in him to care, as it gave the girls a chance to relax without the fucking class pervert around. “Unless Nezu, our principal, was able to figure out how to make a portkey in the 30 seconds between mention and use, I highly doubt it. Although I wouldn’t put it past him to get one of our support team on it. I’m pretty sure that Mei could do it and fairly quickly too. But as far as I know, this is it for us.” He sighed as the fire flared, bathing the room briefly green as two figures walked out.
Moony and another black haired man walked in to see the group sitting at the table. The black haired man had a very pale complection, with eyes that were black and intense. His eyes narrowed as he looked over the group, cataloging each of their appearances and garb. He flicked his eyes over to Sirius, verifying that they were not an immediate threat. Sirius shrugged helplessly. The man sighed before making his way over to sit next to Moony.
Harry and Draco went to sit down at the table, Harry next to Midoriya and Draco on the other side. Incidentally forcing Midoriya to sit closer to Bakugou. They looked over and saw Bakugou visibly tense as their shoulders brushed lightly, snapping, “Deku, don’t get any fucking closer or I will blast your ass.”
Midoriya sighed, “Fine Kacchan. I just needed to move over a little bit for Harry and Draco to sit at the table.” He turned slightly to face the wizards, who looked at him with incredulity. He just shook his head sadly, not wanting to talk about it.
Harry leaned over to whisper in Midoriya’s ear, “Would you like to come up to my room to talk about things? You seem incredibly tense and resigned in a way that I don’t like to see.” He waited a beat, about to ask again when he heard Midoriya respond, “I’d like that. I need an outside perspective about things. When do you wanna go up?”
Harry quickly grabbed Midoriya’s arm and pulled him out of the room, to the confusion of the rest of the group. They ignored the looks as Harry switched his grip from Midoriya’s arm to his hand. He guided the confused boy up five flights of stairs before opening the door of the room at the end of the hallway, unaware of the blonde spiked boy following silently. He conjured up a seat for Midoriya to sit on just across from the queen sized bed. There was a pregnant silence before Harry asked, “Why is Bakugou so hostile to you? You seem like you genuinely care about him but he’s an absolute asshole to you. I have a cousin who acted similarly until he started going to a boxing club to get out his aggression. We then had a chat and started acting like cousins. His parents on the other hand actively discourage him from associating with me. And why does he call you Deku? It doesn’t sound like something you should be calling someone.”
Midoriya hung his head, his hands coming up to cradle his face. “You absolutely cannot tell anybody about this. I don’t want anyone in my class to know about anything. And no offense, I don’t know any of the adults you know to trust them enough with things. As for Kacchan and I, we’ve known each other since we were really young. I always looked up to him and we got along until his quirk manifested. After that he got really angry and mean. I tried to keep him from blowing up the other kids when they started to really piss him off. When I didn’t develop a quirk at the age of 4, I was pretty much an outcast. Kacchan and the rest of our class growing up bullied me. Kacchan actually told me to hope for a quirk in the next life and jump off the roof. He doesn’t know this, but I almost did. I was leaning on the railing thinking about how useless I was, how much of a Deku I had become. But as I was about to let go and jump, I saw an owl coming toward me. It just flew overhead, but it was such a weird thing that I didn’t actually jump. I started walking home when I was attacked by a sludge villain, I was saved by All Might. He ended up leaving me on another rooftop before leaving. I made my way home and ran into the sludge villain again, but it had Kacchan caught in the same way it had me. The heroes that were on the scene weren’t doing anything to save him. So I ran in to attempt to help. Because I was quirkless, I couldn’t really do anything except to distract the villain enough for Kacchan to get use of his quirk.” There was a pause as Midoriya caught his breath. “I noticed some weird things happening around me when I was little. Just some things that could easily be ignored, like some of the objects around me would shake when I got super upset. I stopped noticing most of the weird things that happened around me. But as for the name Deku, it’s really an insult, basically meaning worthless. I’ve gotten used to it so I don’t fight it when people call me that.”
Bakugou, not wanting the two in the room to know he was listening, began to stare at the wall across from him in horror. He shook slightly when he heard Midoriya admit that he was about to jump off a roof. ‘What the fuck did I do to him? Why was I such a shithead?’ He thought to himself, bracing his back against the wall and breathed deeply to prevent the tears burning his eyes from falling.
Harry listened intently, stiffening in anger the more Midoriya divulged everything. He had to get up and pace around the room to keep his magic from escaping his control and alerting Sirius and Remus. He crouched down in front of Midoriya and looked him in the eye. “You did not deserve to be treated like that. Especially by someone that you were friends with. He is old enough to know that he should not be doing that. I don’t see why they allowed him to be in your school and your class specifically. Now, that’s not to say that he can’t begin to change or anything like that. But he’s going to need some guidance. I think Severus and Remus would be the best to help there. They got me through a rough patch in 3rd year. Severus even saved my life last year after I was forced to participate in a tournament that ended up almost killing one of my friends in the end.” He sighed and gripped Midoriya’s shaking shoulders, bringing him into a tight hug. “I can’t speak to anything else, but I’m here to listen and offer some potential advice. Sirius is also a great person to talk to. But not right now, he’s chomping at the bit to play a prank. He’s a genius with them, but they can get a little out of hand sometimes.”
Midoriya offered a small smile, “I appreciate that Harry. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself? You had mentioned someone trying to kill you?”
Harry snorted in derision, “So, I was targeted by a dark wizard named Voldemort. There’s apparently a prophecy about how one of us can live. We haven’t exactly pieced together what that actually means yet, but we’re working on it. Since I began at Hogwarts, he’s tried to kill me three separate times. In my first year, he was possessing one of our teachers and I ended up killing him with my bare hands. In my second year, a shade of the younger Voldemort appeared through a diary that had made it into the hands of my friend Ron’s baby sister. He possessed her to unleash a basilisk throughout the school. This caused all sorts of issues, my friend Hermione was paralyzed by it. Ron and I ended up going to the Chamber of Secrets to save Ginny. Well, I ended up by myself at the end, I had to kill the basilisk, and ended up almost dead because I was bitten. The only reason I survived is because of phoenix tears. Third year was a little different, we thought that Sirius was an escaped convict that was after me. Turns out he was wrongfully convicted and we were able to get him cleared. He owns the house that we’re currently in. And last year, I was forced to participate in the Triwizard Tournament. I never entered as there was an age limit on the people who could do so. The other champion’s and I worked together to get to the end of the tournament in one piece until the last task, which was a maze. At the end of the maze was the cup, which turned out to be a portkey. Cedric and I were transported to a graveyard where Voldemort ordered the Death Eaters to ‘kill the spare’. With the head’s up, we were able to conjure a slab of wood to protect him from the Killing Curse.” He took a breath before continuing, “I made Cedric go back to Hogwarts to prevent him from getting hurt. In doing that, I was bound to the gravestone of Tom Riddle Sr. Turns out Voldemort’s real name is Tom Riddle and he’s a half-blood masquerading as a pure-blood. He used my blood as part of a ritual to give him a new body. We ended up dueling before I was able to get a hold of the cup to go back to the school. After that, I was taken by my Defense “Professor” from the group that had come around Cedric. He was a Death Eater that had taken the post to get me in position to bring the Dark Lord back. He was about to curse me when Severus disarmed him and took me to his personal chambers. I was finally able to breathe and asked him to train me.”
Midoriya watched Harry with rapt attention, listening to everything. When Harry was finished, he pulled his legs underneath his chin. “We’re both kind of fucked up aren’t we? What’s the story with you and Draco?”
Harry blushed, “Well it wasn’t great to begin with. He was a pompous fucking blighter. Bullied my friend by calling her a disgusting slur as often as he could. But third year, we started meeting up in secret and began building an actual friendship. Ron and Hermione have no idea that we’re close. They have a major grudge, just because of the house he was sorted into.” He grimaced and scowled. “I’m trying to change that, there’s been a major divide in the school for far too long.”
The two boys sat in silence, each contemplating what the other had said, still unaware of their audience. That is until they heard a slight shuffle outside the door, walking away from the room. They looked at each other warily before slowly moving toward the door to see who had been there. When they peeked around the doorway, they found nobody in the hallway. They went back to the room and Harry cast wards on his door to prevent any further interruptions during their conversation. After a few minutes of quietly chatting about nothing and everything at the same time, there was a knock at the door.
“Harry, can I come in? You’ve been gone for a while and the group is getting antsy. Especially the discount Snape. He keeps muttering about his ‘Problem Child.’ There was a snort with that comment.
Harry shook his head with a grin before looking at Midoriya questioningly. Midoriya nodded, pulling his knees to his chest, leaning back on the headboard. Harry disabled the wards and opened the door. “Really Sirius? Discount Snape? That’s just cruel. Funny, but cruel.” He moved back to sit next to Midoriya, “Problem Child? There’s a story there. But that can wait for later.”
Sirius looked at the two boys, noting Midoriya’s tear streaked face he asked, “Who do I need to prank and how wild can I go with it?” He sat in the empty chair that Midoriya had sat in before. “I can’t help but see that you’re not exactly confident with crowds, Midoriya. I can promise that we can keep things from going too crazy, but it’s up to you if you want to go back downstairs. I can send some food up with the house elves.”
Midoriya sighed and shook his head, “If I don’t go back, Aizawa is going to come looking for me and that’s not exactly a fun situation. Cause he’ll end up using his scarf to keep me by him.” He stood up and moved to go toward the door.
“If you’d like, we can set up a nonverbal code if you get too uncomfortable. I had planned on using Veritaserum on Aizawa, to see if we can get any more information on the situation.” Sirius said, a dark look crossing his face briefly. “Snape seems to think it’ll work, but if not, it’ll have to be Legilimency. But it’ll be done in private, I know students are nosy buggers and I’m sure Aizawa has stuff to hide on purpose.” He stood and clapped Midoriya and Harry on the shoulders, guiding them back to the kitchen.

The adult wizards learn a little more about the strangers. Severus sees a lot more.
Notes:
Okay, so this chapter is the one where I decided to flip it from Mature to Explicit.... I may have gotten a little mean and let the words just flow from my fingers to the keyboard. So please don't be too mad at me!
I'm currently working on the next chapter for your enjoyment! I'll try to have that posted by Sunday!
Chapter Text
The trio slowly made their way down the four flights of stairs that Harry had brought Midoriya up. When Sirius opened the door to the kitchen, the dull roar that had been there dropped into silence. The three adults that were in the room, looked up with concern etched on their faces. Aizawa slowly got to his feet and walked over to Midoriya, crouching down to look him in the eye.
“Problem Child,” He said quietly, “What happened? You have tear tracks on your face, which is how I know.”
Midoriya flushed, “I’m fine Mr. Aizawa. You don’t need to worry about me. The rest of the class needs you more. Strange things happen to me all the time. I’m used to it.” He shrugged as an attempt at nonchalance, lowering his eyes from his teachers. Missing the slight frown and obvious concern that etched itself on all four adults’ faces completely. He stepped back from his teacher and made his way quietly back to his previous seat next to Harry. He angled his body a little bit to not upset Bakugou. The blonde frowned at the boy but remained silent.
The four adults made a note of that specific interaction, before Moony, Sirius and Severus turned to Aizawa. As they all made eye contact, Sirius jerked his head toward the second door next to the door leading to the hallway, indicating that they wanted to speak with him there. He nodded and stood up, activating his quirk addressing his students, “You will all behave while you’re eating here. If I hear even a peep out of line I will make sure you’re dealt with accordingly.” Once the students nodded, he turned to the wizards and walked into the room previously indicated.
Once the four men were in the room, Severus locked and warded the door to prevent any of the teenagers from following them in or attempts at eavesdropping. As soon as that was done, the wizards indicated a couch for Aizawa to sit on with chairs surrounding it. They sat in silence before Moony cleared his throat, “Aizawa, we have a way to determine if someone is hostile or lying to us. To do this we would like to administer the potion to do this, we will not abuse the effects of the potion. We merely want to ascertain whether or not we can trust you not to hurt the ones that we care about. We do also have the antidote to administer right after the questions.”
Aizawa looked at Severus impassively, “You will not use this against my kids as a means of punishment, correct? I don’t really care what happens to me, it’s my job to take care of them. They’ve already had enough happen to them recently.” His face turned into a sad and almost pleading look.
Remus, Sirius and Snape shared a concerned look between them before nodding to Aizawa. When Snape produced the vial of clear liquid, “I promise that we will not abuse the information that you provide. We understand the need to protect your charges no matter what. Is there anything that we need to avoid asking about? That wouldn’t be pertinent to this situation?” When Aizawa shook his head, Snape tilted his head back slightly and allowed three drops to fall on his tongue. They waited a few minutes until the tell tell sign of the potion taking effect.
“Aizawa, is that your first name?” Asked Sirius, his tone neutral. “And what do you prefer to be known as?”
“My first name is Shota.” He replied, his voice devoid of any emotion. “I have no preference in private. In front of my students, use Aizawa as they do not have permission to use my first name.”
They nodded to each other when Remus asked, “What was happening before you were brought here by Harry and Draco?”
“It was a normal day, which was rather surprising. The school day had ended and the students were in their dorms. I was grading school work when one of the alarms tripped, indicating that a stranger had gotten into the dorm. I immediately made my way over to the dorm from the teacher’s building. As I was running over, Iida, the kid with the exhaust pipes in his calves came up to me and told me about the strangely clothed stranger that had suddenly appeared in the common room. As I walked into the room, I immediately utilized my capture scarf to keep him restrained. I made sure to not inflict any damage as there was no indication of ill intent. I then had Sero, the boy with the strange elbows, secure him to a chair while I rounded up all the rest of the students to make sure they were not being taken or distracted by an enemy. As I came back to the common room, there was a cracking sound and a blonde boy who was wearing the same thing as the first boy appeared. I did the same thing with my scarf and restrained him before asking questions about who they were, where they were from and what they wanted. After my questions, I asked about their abilities and there was an offer of an exchange to show abilities. We then went to one of our training grounds and showed the abilities of three of my students and then the boys showed theirs. Once that was done, Draco asked Harry about a portkey and if it would work to bring them back home. They then looked at me as they asked to use one of my students as a test. I told them that they would need to take all of us so that I could keep an eye on my kids. They agreed and then we appeared in an unknown location being told to keep quiet before being led into the kitchen.”
The three men looked at each other and nodded, satisfied with the answers they administered the antidote to Aizawa. As it took effect, bringing back the light to his eyes. He looked at the three and nodded gratefully. “My kids have been through hell in the last few weeks. We’ve been targeted by a group of villains that we call the League of Villains. And just a few days ago, they kidnapped Bakugou from the training camp that we were using as a way to increase their stamina when we were attacked. He won’t talk about what happened in the time he was with them before we were able to rescue him, and it’s unnerving. He’s a brash kid, quick temper and not afraid to do what it takes to win. Since we brought him back, he’s been subdued and quiet.”
Remus turned to look at Severus, “Would you be able to use Legilimency on him? That way we can determine what’s going on with him?” He looked back at Aizawa’s confused expression. “It’s a way to read someone’s mind without asking any questions. It’s typically frowned upon to not get permission, but I think that this situation calls for it.”
Snape nodded, “I can do it silently, and he would not be any wiser about me being in his head briefly. I won’t need to be there for long. I will not do it unless you want me to. I am not without compunction. You will not need to give me any indication, other than a nod or shake of your head when we get back into the kitchen.” He stood and held his hand out to pull the man out of his chair. The quartet made their way back into the kitchen, silencing the noise quickly. They each made to take their seats. Severus across from Bakugou, Remus in the empty chair at the end of the table, Sirius at the head of the table and Aizawa on the right of Sirius.
“Is everything alright, Mr. Aizawa?” Midoriya leaned around Harry to ask. “You were gone for a while.” His concern shone through his green eyes.
Aizawa nodded, “Everything is fine. They had some questions for me, that’s all Midoriya.” He sat back in his chair and nodded minutely to Severus. He took a deep breath as he kept an eye on Bakugou for any indication of distress.
The moment that Severus slipped into Bakugou’s mind, he found it as if it was a hallway full of doors. Some were tightly closed, others slightly ajar and a few with heavy chains barricading the doors. The chains showed different signs of age, some older than others. The closest door had gleaming chains, as if it had been just recently erected. He stepped up to that door and searched for any obvious means of getting through the door. Finding none, he whispered “Alohomora” to open the chains. As they fell to the ground in front of the door, it swung open quietly. Taking a steadying breath he walked through the door to see what was trapped.
Stepping through the doorway, he was assaulted by a loud room. Full of people gloating, sneering and cackling. He made note of the group in front of him. A young girl with blonde hair and what looked to be fangs peeking in her sinister smile. A slightly older boy with burn scars and bright blue eyes, flicking bits of blue flames from his fingers. And the most disturbing individual, another young man with blue-gray hair and what looked to be hands across his body and on his face, that looked to be stretched too thin causing constant scratching. He heard the jingle of chains around wrists and saw Bakugou bound to a chair. His own mind began compartmentalizing what the most pressing thing to address with the boy.
The hand covered boy spoke with an uncomfortably scratchy voice, “Katsuki Bakugou, you’re a hard boy to pin down. My name is Shigaraki, the leader of the League of Villains. You’ll have to forgive us the method used to retrieve you, we wanted to be quick about it so that we could try to recruit you to join us.” He started giggling insanely, “And I would agree to do so, unless you want something to happen to the people precious to you.”
Severus felt the dread and fear the Katsuki had felt at the insinuation from Shigaraki. The boy stayed stubbornly silent, trying to tamp the feelings down and figure out a way to escape. He pulled at the chains holding his hands behind his back, testing their strength. At his attempts, he found that his hands were trapped in a cage rendering them useless. Severus felt the resignation and self hatred in the boy acutely. He watched as the group surrounding Katsuki began to laugh in earnest at the attempts to escape his bonds. Shigaraki walked closer to Katsuki, leaning to be face to face. A menacing aura surrounded him as he reiterated wanting Katsuki to join the league.
Katsuki spat in his face in response. Shigaraki jerked back and upright before turning to the group. “Dabi, Toga, you two get to have the opportunity to assist in the persuasion of him to join us. I don’t care how you do it. But I want him broken.” His voice tense and brokering no argument as he walked out of the room with the other people that had been in the room. As he walked through the door, the fire user sauntered over to stand in front of Katsuki.
“You know kid, Shigaraki ain’t too bad to work for. Keeps a roof over our head and food in our bellies. On top of that, we get to be brutal and take what we want.” Dabi’s voice rasped as he slid his fingers into Katsuki’s hair, pulling tightly and dragging his head backward. “You have a violent tendency that just needs to be honed. Nobody believes that you would make it as a hero after the Sports Festival. They already see you on your way to becoming a villain so why not prove them right and take what you want?” He brought his other hand to wrap lightly over Katsuki’s throat, and the smell of heated flesh rose.
“I’m not going to join you fucking wannabes, I will never be a fucking villian because I save people. You can’t convince me otherwise.” Katsuki snarled, trying to get away from the heated hand on his throat and the hand tightly wound in his hair. “You can’t give me anything. And you’re really starting to piss me off.”
Dabi snorted derisively, “You heard what Shigaraki said, we get to break you. In any way that we choose. You won’t get out of here unscathed and you know it. Why not just make it easier on yourself and join?” He tightened his grip and yanked Katsuki’s head back painfully. “We’d be able to take care of you and train you to use your quirk better than some stuffy school ever could.”
“Yeah Bakugou,” The blonde girl, Toga, said in a high pitched voice. She pulled out a knife from a holster on her thigh. “You’re better equipped to be a villain instead of a lousy hero. They don’t do anything to fix things in the system.”
“I already told you motherfuckers but I’ll say it clearly for you.” Katsuki snarked. “I.AM.NOT.GOING.TO.JOIN. YOU.” He took a deep breath to steady his breathing.
Dabi laughed, his voice sounding as if he smoked five packs of cigarettes a day, shook his head and stepped back a little bit from Katsuki. Looking at Toga, “You can play first Toga. It’s been awhile since you’ve been able to have fun. Just don’t forget that we have to keep him alive.” He walked over to the wall opposite to where Toga was stalking closer to Katsuki.
Severus, his mind racing, watched as Toga lifted Katsuki’s shirt and placed a blade at the bottom of his ribcage. “Oh we’re going to have so much fun together Katsuki! You’re going to be so much cuter with a few cuts on you!” She chirped, drawing the blade through his skin. Severus watched as Katsuki kept any sound from going past his lips. Fighting to not give the satisfaction to the two. Toga frowned and brought the knife to the other side of his torso and made another, deeper cut. He winced slightly and grimaced. She methodically made further cuts on his torso and when she found that she would not get any satisfaction that she was looking for.
She got a mischievous, menacing glint in her eye as she sliced through his pants drawing deep cuts through his thighs. She giggled when he made a slight noise of distress. She backed up and gazed at her handy work before motioning for Dabi to take over. He grinned sharply as he accepted Toga’s high five. Once he was again in Katsuki’s face, he slid his hand over the cuts on his ribs and ignited his hands causing a strangled cry of pain. He removed his hand from Katsuki’s rib and placed one on his thigh, right over one of the deep cuts. The smell of burning flesh filled Katsuki’s nose through the memory and Severus winced having smelled that many times during revels with the other Death Eaters.
After Dabi was done burning the blonde boy, he and Toga went behind the bar to retrieve medical supplies to treat the injuries. Talking the whole time to try and persuade Katsuki to join them.

Chapter Text
“Mr. Snape?” Midoriya’s voice snapped him out of the things he saw in Katsuki’s memories. “Are you okay? Your face is really pale.” The doe like green eyes gazed at him in concern. Severus flashed him a reassuring smile and nodded. Before turning back to his food, he caught Sirius’ eye and grimaced briefly.
The group ate quietly, the kids almost falling asleep on their plate. Remus gently told the kids to get up and settled them into bedrooms. Setting them up two to a room. He put Bakugou and Midoriya in the room next to the one Harry had taken Midoriya to earlier. He conjured a second bed for one of them to sleep on. The two boys trudged into the room silently and got ready for bed as soon as the door was closed. The boys slid under their covers and as soon as their heads hit the pillows they were dead to the world, exhausted by the happenings of the day.
As the kids were led up to their respective rooms by Remus, Sirius and Severus pulled Aizawa back into the sitting room where they had done the questioning previously. Sirius went to the small bar area and pulled a few glasses along with a bottle of Ogden’s best. He poured the drinks while they sat around the fireplace and waited for Remus to rejoin them. When Remus joined them, he sat in a seat right next to the fire to ward off the chill of the evening.
“Alright Severus, what did you find in his memories? I can assume it wasn’t good because you went incredibly pale.” Remus asked gently, taking a small sip of his firewhisky.
Severus took a deep breath before looking directly at Aizawa. “Shouta, it’s bad. I don’t know how bad you think it is, but I can assure you that it’s probably worse.” He paused for a moment. “Do you want to be in this conversation or do you want to go to bed?”
Shouta, his eyes heavy, shook his head. “I need to know how best to help Problem Child number two. Or to at least see if there is anything that I actually can do for him. I can go to bed afterwards.”
“I do want to ask a couple of questions to get an outside perspective.” Severus began slowly, “Other than him being quieter than normal, what was the condition he was found in? How has he been acting physically?”
“When he was rescued, initially, the reports said that his pants had been cut by a knife but only his thighs. His shirt was crumbled as if it had been pushed up repeatedly. The rescuers didn’t have time to fully look him over before he was taken to a new area by some sort of transportation that originated from his mouth. After that the other group of heroes saw the League and Katsuki arrive in an area that had almost been demolished by a villain named All For One. He was fought by All Might and was eventually defeated.” Shouta frowned, his voice taking a harder edge. “Katsuki was ultimately rescued by Midoriya, Momo, Shouto, Kirishima and Iida. They caused a distraction that All Might needed to succeed.”
As Shouta recounted what he knew, he kept a close watch on Severus’ face as his eyebrows furrowed more and more. He looked at the other men, seeing similar expressions being mirrored. “It sounds like you’ve seen similar issues, probably recently. One of your boys?” His face grim as they nodded in confirmation. “Which one?”
Sirius sighed in exasperation, “Harry, multiple times in the past few years. Most recent was just the last school year when he was forced to participate in a tournament that resurrected the Dark Lord Voldemort. He’s a bastard that wants to kill Muggles and Muggle Born witches and wizards, which is absolutely impossible because we have a Statute of Secrecy to protect magical folk. And the Muggles have all sorts of things that can kill very quickly and easily. We also have to combat an incompetent government that is denying that it happened.”
Remus nodded in agreement. “We are trying to train the boys now so that they can defend themselves in case of an attack.” His expression changed from grim to thoughtful. “Your kids may be able to help with that. They can teach different techniques for evasion and offensive maneuvers.”
“What kind of attacks are you trying to prepare for? How can we help?” Aizawa immediately asked, no hesitation in his voice. “If we don’t have a way to get home soon, then we can just teach as well.”
“We can talk about it in the morning. You look like you’re about to pass out where you sit. We have the option to give you your own room, or you can bunk with me.” Sirius piped up, “We have one other room set up. It’s up to you.”
“I’ll just room with you Sirius. I still might not get any sleep tonight, especially with what I now know about what happened to Bakugou. I need to figure out the best way to help him.” Aizawa sighed, his face looking pained. “Severus, is there a way to fix his injuries with magic? If so, I’d like to use that for him now. And Midoriya as well, he’s been losing weight and thinks that I haven’t noticed it. He keeps a lot of things hidden from us, even his classmates. I don’t know much about his home life, which is absolutely concerning since I know everyone else’s. Like Ochaco having been in a barebones apartment just to get to school before the dorms were implemented.”
“We’ll talk strategy in the morning, we all need sleep after the day we’ve all had.” Sirius said, casting a Tempus charm showing at 10:30 PM before pulling Aizawa up gently. “Moony, we should order a lot more chocolate from Honeydukes. I think we’re going to need it.”
Remus nodded and left the room with Severus following behind. As they left the room, Sirius walked alongside Aizawa to guide him to the master bedroom that Sirius was living in. Once they got in the room, Sirius transfigured one of the couches into a queen size bed. After it had been set up, the two men quickly stripped and buried themselves under the covers.
Midoriya, having not gone to sleep, heard the steps going up passed the room he was in. After the sound went further and further off, he quietly slipped from his bed and out of the room. Easing the door closed, he tiptoed down the stairs and looked for a door to get out of the house. As he stepped out into the brisk cool air, he found a bench across from the house. When his mind kept racing, he walked down the drive and made a left turn at the junction at the end of the road. He climbed up onto the jungle gym and sat near the slide platform, curling up into a ball to make himself as small as possible. His eyes drooped as sleep threatened to over take him, his body starting to ignore the chill in the air around him. Unable to keep his eyes open, he drifted off to sleep.
Harry, being attuned to the wards, felt them shift as someone left the house. He swung his legs over the edge of his bed and quickly made his way to Sirius’ room. Unaware that Aizawa was rooming with Sirius, barged into the room. Before he could even get past the threshold, he felt the wraps encase him again with glowing red eyes glaring at him. “I’m so sorry for startling you, sir. I didn’t know you were going to be in here. I need Sirius’s help with something. Can you release me so I can wake him up really quick?” Harry spoke with a note of urgency in his voice.
Aizawa blinked, releasing his quirk and his capture weapon and gestured for Harry to come in. Harry threw an apologetic look at him, “You’re going to want to prepare for a yelp. I’m not going to be nice with waking him up.”
Harry turned to his godfather, sound asleep in his bed and quietly cast, “Aguamenti.” Causing a spray of water directly onto Sirius. There was an immediate reaction as Sirius flicked his wand from his wrist to cast a spell. “Wait! Sirius! It’s just me, I know you like your sleep, but I need your help. Someone left the house and I don’t know who it was. I know it wasn’t Remus and Snape, I saw them leave earlier. But I don’t know the configuration of everybody in the rooms. Can you help me find whoever left?” He started breathing quickly, feeling a little lightheaded.
Sirius blinked the sleep from his eyes, sat up and nonchalantly cast a drying charm. It took him a couple minutes to come to consciousness. Quickly throwing his legs over the edge of the bed, he summoned a cloak to brace against the chill. “When did they leave?” He asked. “That might help to pinpoint a location to figure out who left.”
Aizawa noticed Harry’s breathing coming in quicker and strode over to put his hands on Harry’s shoulder to ground him. “Follow my breathing Harry, you’re working yourself into a panic attack. We need you to calm down enough to let us know everything needed to go get the person.” He counted the breaths until Harry’s breathing leveled out. “There we go, good job. Now, when did they walk outside? Did they go out the front or the back?”
Harry took a moment to gather his thoughts before answering, “They left through the front door, I think it was just a few hours ago. I don’t know for sure though, the wards woke me up and I didn’t check the time when they went off.” He blinked and cast a quick Tempus charm showing that it was past 2:30 in the morning
“Sirius, is there a way to quickly check the rooms to do a headcount?” Aizawa asked, gears already turning to figure out who it could be. His face, a concerned scowl.
“That’s a great idea, Shouta!” Sirius said. “Winky, Dobby! I need your help with something, come here please.”
There were two small pops that announced two creatures that baffled Aizawa. His eyes barely widening when the girl creature spoke, “Yes, Master Sirius, what is Winky and Dobby to be doing?”
“I need you to check in on the kids, one is missing and we’re trying to see who it was.” Sirius ordered. “As soon as you figure it out, come back and tell us right away.”
The two creatures nodded and popped away. After they left, Aizawa looked at Harry and Sirius with a raised, curious eyebrow. The two wizards chuckled and Harry told him, “Dobby and Winky are what are called House Elves. They do a lot of different tasks, prepping food, cleaning, maintaining ambient magic around magical properties.” Aizawa merely nodded, his thoughts going back to who could have left.
After a few minutes, the two elves popped back into Sirius’s room. “We looked for the green haired boy, but he is not in the house.” Winky said, her ears slightly dropped at the fact that she was giving bad news.”
“Thank you Winky and Dobby. You both did good work. Go ahead and go back to sleep, if we need you we’ll call you.” Harry said gently, crouching down to look them in the eye. They both nodded and popped away again.
“Harry, I want you to stay in the house.” Sirius held up his hand to cut off any protests. “Shouta and I will go look for Midoriya. If he comes back before we find him, send a patronus message to me. He can’t have gotten too far.” They all walked down to the living room, Sirius and Shota made their way to the front door while Harry went to sit on one of the steps watching the door.
Once the two men were outside, Sirius held his wand in his palm and said, “Point me, Midoriya.” His brow furrowed in confusion as his wand only spun in circles. “Shouta, what is Midoriya’s first name? The spell may require me to use both names.”
“His name is Izuku.” Shota supplied quickly, “Izuku Midoriya. If this spell doesn’t work, do we resort to the old fashioned way of looking by foot?” He bounced slightly on the balls of his feet, ready to get going.
Sirius nodded, “That’s exactly what’ll be done. I’m hoping that the spell will work this time.” He took a shaking breath before casting the spell again, “Point me, Izuku Midoriya.” The two men waited as the wand circled in Sirius’s palm. They both sighed when there was no clear direction provided. They went to the T-junction at the end of the road to the house and split up, Sirius to the left and Shouta to the right.
Aizawa walked slowly, keeping an eye out for his Problem Child. His eyes roving over the area. Midoriya, you’d better be okay. I’m going to be out here until I find you. He thought, his worry growing with each passing moment. As the hour passed, he made his way back to meet Sirius at the junction. Aizawa paced back and forth, waiting for Sirius to get back. While he paced, his mind brought up all of the observations about Midoriya that he had made during the school year so far. Some things popped out quickly, like the way that Midoriya was underweight, making himself as small as possible when being disciplined and how he always put others before himself, typically to his own detriment. He stopped in his tracks as a horrifying realization rolled through his body. He’s being abused, how the fuck did I miss that?! I need to help him. He thought angrily, kicking a few rocks away.
Sirius, as soon as Aizawa went in the direction agreed on, transformed into a black dog. He made his way toward the park that he knew was down the road. As he got closer, he caught a scent that was out of place. It smelled like Honey Crisp Apples, a forest after a hard rain with a strange undercurrent of lightning. He transformed back into a human form and walked closer to the playground that was just down the hill he was on. Sirius called Midoriya’s name, trying to pinpoint where he was.
Izuku, who had been fast asleep, jerked awake at the sound of his name being called. He felt the cricks in his back and legs from the position he had fallen asleep in. He groaned quietly as he stretched his legs out in front of him and attempted to stand, only to fall back on his ass. He cursed with vitriol as the pins and needles made themselves known.
Sirius grinned hearing the commotion and made his way toward the sound. As he climbed the stairs to the slides, he snorted at the annoyed look on Izuku’s face. “Hey kid,” he started, sitting next to him. “What’s going on? You look like you’re having a rough time.”
Izuku snorted, “You could say that. There’s just been a lot happening and it’s been overwhelming. You can’t tell Mr. Aizawa about this, but I needed to get away. It’s been a stressful few weeks.” Izuku sighed, tipping his head back to rest on the bars behind him. “He has others to worry about more than he needs to worry about me.”
Sirius frowned, looking closer at the boy next to him. As he watched Izuku, he noticed that the boy’s face was pale and slightly sunken, bags under his eyes as if he hadn’t gotten a good night’s sleep in a long time and what looked to be potential scars where his neck met his shoulders. Sirius said nothing about his observation, making a mental note to speak with Aizawa about helping the kid. After a few breaths he slung his arm around Izuku’s shoulders, “Your secret is safe with me kid. Now you’ve got a few people worried about you since you’ve been out here for a long time. So I think it’s time to get you back to the house, warmed up and in the cozy bed set up for you.” He stood and offered his hand for Izuku to take.
Izuku took Sirius’ hand and stumbled when trying to stand up. Huffing he steadied himself with the railing behind him. “I’m sorry for worrying you. I didn’t know I’d been out so long.” He said quietly as they started moving back toward where Aizawa was waiting for them. Sirius’ heart clenched as they walked close together.
When they got closer, Aizawa threw out his capture weapon to wrap around Izuku to drag him closer. When Izuku was in front of him, he sighed, “Midoriya, you should be asleep in your room. Not out here in a new place with cooler temperatures than we are used to. You could have gotten sick.” He took a look at the boy, checking for any obvious issues from him being outside. Seeing that the only thing indicating his time outside was a mark on his forehead, Aizawa nodded to himself and glanced at Sirius. The nod back indicated that they would speak later.
Before they turned back to go to the house, Sirius sent a message through a glowing white dog, “Harry, we found him. We’ll get him home, go to bed. Love you pup.” As the dog gamboled away, Sirius turned to Aizawa and Izuku with a grin. “That’s a Patronus, it’s got a couple of uses. The one you just saw was to use it as a messenger to a specific person. The other is to be a protection against Dementors, which are incredibly dark creatures. They steal joy and on some occasions a person's soul.” His eyes shuttered. Taking a deep breath, he forced another grin to his face. “Let’s get you two inside, we all need to get some sleep.”
Sirius opened the door, motioning the two inside. As they crossed the threshold, Sirius gently pushed Izuku toward the stairs. “You need to get some sleep, kid. Let’s not keep you up any longer than is needed. We’ll talk about things in the morning with clearer heads.” He turned his head to look at Aizawa over his shoulder. “Shouta, go on up. I’ll get a couple things before coming to join you. Shouldn’t take too long.” He waited for Aizawa to nod before walking toward the basement.
When Aizawa and Izuku got to the first landing of the stairs, he gently grabbed Izuku’s shoulder to stop him. He crouched to look Izuku in the eyes. “Are you okay kid? You’ve been acting a little strangely after the training camp.” He watched as Izuku seemed to shrink into himself and avert his eyes. “You’re not. I need to know what is going on so that I can help as much as possible. You and I are going to try something tomorrow that I think will help. It’s safe and we can keep it between us.”
Izuku sighed, his shoulders dropping, “Yes sir. Can I go to bed now?” He waited for his teacher’s nod and made his way up to the fifth floor, feeling the eyes burning into his shoulders. When he was sure that his teacher couldn’t see him anymore, he finally allowed some tears to fall from his eyes. When he got to his and Katsuki’s room, he took a breath and quietly slipped in. Keeping his footsteps light and soundless, he looked over to Katsuki. Watching the steady rise and fall of the blonde’s shoulders, Izuku sighed quietly with a sad smile. He slipped under his blankets and fell into a fitful sleep.
Katsuki had been asleep until the door opened quietly. He heard the quiet rustling of the blankets on the other bed and Izuku’s breathing even out, indicating that the boy had gone to sleep. What happened? Where had he been that he was only now just getting into bed and falling asleep? The thoughts raced through Katsuki’s head as the worry began to gnaw at his gut. He turned to lay on his back, one arm going to rest under his head. He was slowly falling back to sleep, until he heard whimpering from Izuku that was immediately silenced. He frowned, knowing that this wasn’t normal. His eyes went wide at the realization that this had happened before when they were younger. He knew that when Izuku had nightmares caused by stress or fear, any sound of distress was quickly silenced even though the boy was sound asleep. Katsuki shot up abruptly, looking over he saw Izuku tossing and turning causing the blankets to wrap around him uncomfortably.
Katsuki scrambled in a panic to get out of his bed to get the blankets ripped off of Izuku, wincing at the ear piercing screams emanating from the boy in front of him. “Fuck, fuck, fuck 'Zuku,” He whispered, his voice dripping with panic. He watched the boy’s usually vibrant green eyes open, unfocussed, dull and scared. Taking a steadying breath, Katsuki gently pulled Izuku into a sitting position to slip behind him. Please don’t hate me for this, I know you’re trying to get over this. He thought as he brought the boy’s head to rest on his chest and wound a hand into the soft green curls. As the smaller boy’s frame began to relax, Katsuki let out a breath of relief.
As he shifted to move Izuku back into a lying position and out of the boy’s bed, he felt a hand grip his shirt and heard a whimper, “Kacchan, I’m sorry I couldn’t save you. I should have been faster to get you away from them in the first place.” He froze, checking to see if the boy was awake. Seeing that he was still asleep, he stayed still a few more minutes before prying Izuku’s fingers from his shirt gently and slipping from the bed. Katsuki stood by Izuku’s bed for a few moment’s, keeping an eye to make sure he didn’t slip back into the panicked sleep. Once he was satisfied with the rise and fall of the boy’s shoulders, he slipped back into his own bed to go back to sleep

Chapter Text
The next morning found Katsuki still awake, quietly getting ready for the day. With one glance to Izuku, Katsuki sighed and eased the door open. He crept down the stairs to the kitchen with the sole thought of preparing breakfast for the group. As he walked into the kitchen, he pulled up short, seeing the two men that they met the previous morning sitting at the table with what looked to be a newspaper between them. A floorboard creaked under Katsuki’s foot, causing the men’s heads to snap toward the sound. The only reason that Katsuki was not hit by either of the spells that had been cast at him was because of his immediate instinct to drop to the floor. His right palm held out toward the men, small explosions crackling as he saw the men relax.
Moony walked over to the blonde slowly and offered a hand out to him. “I’m sorry about that Bakugou, we weren’t aware that anyone would be up this early. You have incredible reflexes to avoid those spells. Not a lot of wizards think to drop out of the way.” He smiled gently. Katsuki scoffed, smacking the man’s hand while standing up and hiding his face.
Severus kept an eye on the boy’s posture as he looked in the pantry. “Something happened last night Remus,” He muttered into Moony’s ear, “He’s holding his shoulders like someone is holding an incredible weight on them.” His face falling into a deeper frown with every passing moment.
Remus narrowed his eyes at the boy nodding, and turned to Severus. “I can smell worry and terror on him along with something incredibly sweet. I’m having a hard time placing the scent, but I know I’ve smelt it before.” He rested his chin in the palm of his hand.
“You know, it’s rude to talk about people behind their backs.” The two men’s heads snapped up to see the blonde scowling down at them as he slid into a seat across from them. Katsuki kept his ruby colored eyes on them, as if he were looking into their very souls.
“My apologies Bakugou,” Remus coughed. “It wasn’t our intention to make you uncomfortable. Are you okay? You seem rather tired.” There was concern rolling off the man, keeping Katsuki’s attention on him while Severus slipped into the boy’s mind at a discreet, but pointed nudge.
It didn’t take long for the sallow skinned man to see what happened the previous night. With a soft sigh falling from his lips, he reached out to gently place his hand on Katsuki’s shoulder. “Stay here and talk to Remus, I’m going to go grab Harry.” At the boy’s questioning look he continued, “He has access to a place that is ideal for working through difficult situations that require complete privacy. Now, I will be there merely to make sure you don’t end up dead. But other than that you’ll be left to your own devices.” He stood and made his way from the kitchen.
Katsuki narrowed his eyes in suspicion at Remus after Severus left the room. “What does he mean by that? Should I be getting Aizawa?” He paused, “And why would I need to talk to you while he’s getting Harry?”
Remus raised an eyebrow at him, “I’m not entirely sure, but I’m starting to see why he wants to take you where I think he does. Especially since he’s getting Harry specifically.” His lips tip into a smirk, “You look like you need to blow some steam.”
Katsuki rolled his eyes and slowly started eating his breakfast. “The fuck is that suppossed to mean? I’m fine.” He finishes his food and walks over to the kitchen to clean his plate. Bracing his hands against the sink and dropping his head down, “You said something about smelling things on me. What could you smell?”
Remus’ face softened as he heard the resignation in Katsuki’s voice. “I can smell your worry, your fear, and something sweet surrounding you. It’s the first two that are the most concerning to Severus and I.” He walked over to the boy and washed his own dishes. “I’m sure that Aizawa is worried as well. We’ve heard that you kids have been through the wringer recently. You and Izuku in particular.”
Katsuki’s jaw clenched, “Zuku and I go really far back. We were childhood friends and then my quirk came in and I turned into an absolute asshole. I bullied him relentlessly.” His voice cracked, “I told him to jump off a roof and pray for a quirk in the next life for fucks sake. What kind of friend does that?! He always wanted to be a hero, even though he had no quirk. I just wanted to keep him safe. I just didn’t know what else to do.” He didn’t notice the tears trickling down his cheeks until his face was being pressed to Remus’ sweater clad chest. He brought his arms around the man’s back and clutched the back of the sweater that he was soaking.
Remus held the boy tight to him, his hand cradling the back of his head. He rested his cheek on the boy’s unruly hair. “It’s alright Bakugou, we’re here to help.” He flicked his eyes toward the door as he heard it faintly open and locked eyes with Severus. At the raised eyebrow, he motioned for quiet steps to come in. Severus nodded and closed the door slightly, turning to murmur the same instructions to Harry who was standing just on the other side. They entered the room staying near the door until the shaking of the blonde’s shoulder subsided.
Harry, who had fallen asleep in Draco’s arms, was woken by a firm shaking of his shoulders. He blinked, clearing some of the blur standing over him. “Professor?” He asked, stifling a yawn. “What’s going on? You usually let me just sleep.”
Severus pursed his lips, handing Harry his glasses. “We need access to the Chamber. Bakugou needs a quiet place to process things. I’d just bring you back after we get in.”
Harry quickly untangled himself from Draco’s embrace. Pressing a soft kiss to the boy’s forehead, he walked over to his closet and threw on some clothes. “Let’s go, I can understand needing to process things in the quiet.”
They quickly made their way down to the kitchen, stopping when they heard crying and Remus’ voice whispering to the source. Harry looked at Severus with worry in his eyes. He stands behind the door, waiting for Severus to indicate whether to enter the room or stay where they are until otherwise told. Severus quickly gestured for Harry to enter the room quietly, neither noticing the footfalls behind them.
As the blonde subsided into soft hiccups, Remus cupped his cheeks to lift his face up. “Are you doing better now Bakugou?” He asked, gently wiping the tears from the boy’s cheeks.
Sniffing, Katsuki nodded. “I can pay for a new shirt for you. I ruined this one.” He frowned, “Well normally I can, I don’t think my money is gonna do anything here.”
Remus chuckled, “There’s no need for that. It’s not ruined in the slightest.” He moved away from the boy and pointed his wand at himself. “Scourgify.”
The boy’s eyes widened as the tear and snot stains vanished from Remus’ shirt in an instant. There was a slight chuckle from the man, “Magic is rather handy for this type of situation.”
Katsuki blinked and snorted, “I’m pretty sure that there are some quirks like that. The nerd would know for sure.” He turned around and stopped with his eyes wide. “When the fuck did you get here?”
“We just got here five minutes ago.” Severus said, no indication in his voice about having seen Katsuki’s vulnerability. “Harry has agreed to take us to the Chamber, so when you’re ready we can depart. We’re going to be going to my personal chambers at Hogwarts by Floo so that we can avoid Albus.” There was a scowl on all the wizard's faces.
“Remus,” Aizawa said, his rough voice startling the raven haired wizards in front of him. “Are you going with them or staying here?” His lips pursed slightly.
Remus nodded to the tired man. “I am going to be staying here with Sirius, we need to prepare for a couple other arrivals to the house in the next couple of days. Do you want to go with them?”
Aiawa nodded, “It’s not that I don’t trust you Severus, I just know that sometimes quirks get out of hand and I have the ability to stop them at the moment before it happens. I can also start training Harry in some hand to hand combat, I assume most wizards don’t know how to do that.”
Harry snorted derisively, “They think it’s far too Muggle for them, so they don’t bother to learn any other method of protection. I’d be more than happy to stick around the Chamber and work with you.” His eyes lit up in anticipation. “Let me just go tell Sirius and Draco so that they don’t worry too much when I don’t come right back to the house.”
The men nodded and Harry scurried to the room he and Draco were sharing. As he stepped in, he found Draco curled around his pillow. Walking over quietly, he knelt down next to the boy. “Hey babe, I’m going to be going to the Chamber with Severus, Bakugou and Aizawa. I’m not going to be back right away and I didn’t want you to worry.” He pressed a quick kiss to the boy’s lips and got to his feet.
Draco groaned, his nose scrunching slightly mumbled, “Thank you for letting me know Scarhead.” He returned the kiss before burrowing deeper into the covers.
Harry shook his head in amusement and left the room to Sirius’. When he got to the door, he knocked and waited for Sirius to let him in. Once Sirius hollered that it was safe, Harry opened the door and walked over to the bed.
“Hey, I just wanted to let you know that Severus, Aizawa, Bakugou and I are going to the Chamber. Aizawa wants to start working on hand to hand combat so I won’t be coming home right away. I didn’t want you to worry so I figured I’d let you know instead of leaving it to Moony to do.” He said as he sat on the end of the bed.
Sirius blinked slightly, taking a minute to process through the sleep fog. “Sounds good, kid. Did you already tell your other half?”
Harry nodded. “I told him first since our room is on the way.” He stood and leaned over to give Sirius a hug before leaving the room to meet the others back in the kitchen.
As he walked into the room, he strode over to the group. “Alright, we are good to go if you guys are ready.” Looking over to Remus, “Sirius is awake so if you want to get started with the arrangements for the Weasley’s and Hermione to get here early, you can.”
Severus stood and motioned the group to the fireplace. “Floo travel is fairly easy on the traveler. The flames are going to turn green and you’ll step in.” He looked at Aizawa and Bakugou. “Aizawa, you’ll come with me and Bakugou will go with Harry. We’re going to be avoiding the headmaster so you’ll need to follow us quickly to the Chamber.”
“Why are we avoiding him?” Aizawa asked, narrowing his eyes suspiciously. “And if we do encounter him, how do we approach that?”
Severus sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “He’s a manipulative old bastard. He’s trying to force children into a war that should have ended before Harry was born.” He looked at the boy. “If we do run into him, we won’t tell him how you got here. He may attempt to bring you into things that you don’t need to be involved in.”
Aizawa grimaced, “I see. How hard would it be to completely avoid him?”
Harry smirked, “I have an incredibly easy way to avoid people or just to track them in general. I have both in Snape’s office. One I’ve had since 1st year and the other was gifted to me in 3rd year. They’re great on their own, but use them both together and you’re only going to get caught if you’re stupid.” His smile widened at the sigh that slipped past Severus’ lips. “Oh don’t fret Snape, you’ve used it for you and Moony’s alone time a few times.”
“And on that note, it’s time for you lot to get going.” Remus cut in before Severus rounded on the boy. “Harry, you should really not aggravate him, when I could easily tell him of everything you’ve told me.”
Harry quickly grabbed Katsuki’s arm and dragged him to the fireplace, calling out the destination of Severus’ office to avoid the Impediment jinx that was aimed his way. The fire was quick to whisk the two boys away from the adults.
Remus smiled fondly at the antics. “Severus, go a little easy on him. You know he’s a bit of a shit in the mornings.” He walked over to the man and leaned up ever so slightly to press a quick kiss to Severus’. “Besides, you have a partner who can take over for you while training.”
Aizawa snorted and shook his head. “You say that now Remus, but I don’t know what good I’ll end up doing. Besides, it shouldn’t be too hard to avoid people. I’m rather good at being in the shadows since I’m a fucking underground hero.”
Severus raised his eyebrow and swiftly returned the kiss before walking over to the fireplace with Aizawa. “You’re gonna have to teach me your tricks, Shouta. I need more ways to scare my students.” Aizawa’s laugh was the last thing heard before it was just Remus standing in the room.
“Why did the fire change colors?” Remus whirled around seeing Izuku standing at the door with a tank top and shorts on. “Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you. I thought you saw me when Mr. Aizawa came through the door.” He rubbed the sleep from his eyes, and moved toward the sink to get a drink of water.
Remus took a deep breath before answering the initial question. “The color in the fire changed due to a powder that allows wizards to travel long distances in a matter of seconds. Green indicates that the Floo network has been used recently from that fireplace. Other than that, the fire is going to be the same color as normal.” He took the time to look the boy over, noting scars on his shoulders in the shape of explosions. He walked over to the boy and looked him over further. “Midoriya, I’d like you to come with me for a few minutes. I want to try something with you to see if it works.” He waited for the boy to process what was said before taking his hand and pulling him up to the library.
When they got to the room, Remus lit the fireplace to warm the space. He gestured to the couches near the fireplace, “Have a seat, I want to get something from Sirius real quick. You can read any of the books on the shelves.” He pointed to one shelf, “Well except that one, there’s some nasty books on that one and we don’t want any of you getting hurt. Partially because Shouta would murder us, most likely.”
Izuku chuckled quietly, grabbing a small book and slipping to sit on the floor. “Wait, who’s Shouta?” He asked, his head cocked to the side.
Remus cursed, “I meant Aizawa, my apologies.”
Izuku nodded, and opened his book. “Oh right, I forgot about that. He’s just always Mr. Aizawa to us.” He shrugged, “I probably won’t get too far into this before you and Sirius get back, but I’ll be safe enough here.”
Remus, not wanting to give an indication of what he was getting Sirius for, nodded and stood up. “It’ll be about ten minutes. Enjoy the book.” He left the room and quickly made his way to Sirius. When he got to the door, he didn’t bother knocking and strode into the room. He gripped Sirius’ shoulders and roughly shook him awake. “Padfoot, you need to get up right now, we have a potential situation with Midoriya. I need your pensieve, as quickly as possible.”
Sirius bolted upright, “What happened now? I was going to talk to him about last night sometime today.” He slipped out from under his blanket and threw on a dressing gown. “I’ll have you take me to him, I already got the damn pensieve last night for this kind of conversation. I assume Shouta went with Harry and the rest?”
Remus nodded mutely and followed Sirius out the door quickly. Pausing only when the other man grabbed the pensieve that was resting on the end table by the bed. Sirius took the stairs two at a time and swiftly entered the library. Cocking his head slightly at the sight of Izuku curled up with a copy of Beetle and the Bard very close to the fire.
“Hey kid,” He said gently as he sunk into the chair closest to the fire. “Did you get enough sleep last night? It’s pretty early for when you fell asleep.”
Izuku briefly looked at the man and shrugged. “I’m used to running on little sleep. This was actually sleeping in for me.” His face took on a frail, bitter smile. “Mom needed a lot of help with the house and worked long hours. So it mostly fell to me to do it. It’s not a big deal, I still keep my grades up and manage training to be strong enough for my quirk.” His eyes grew wide and his mouth slammed shut.
Sirius looked at the boy curiously. He thought a moment before sliding off the chair next to the boy, close enough to be a solid presence but not making Izuku feel trapped. He motioned Remus to do the same on the other side of the boy, waiting until the other man had gotten comfortable. “What do you mean by that? Strong enough to handle your quirk?”
Izuku tensed up slightly, looking around the room to double check that they were the only ones in the room. In a small voice, he said, “I wasn’t born with my quirk. I didn’t get it until the day before the entrance exams to get into UA. My quirk is called One for All, at first it was just a super strength quirk, but then another quirk manifested after Kacchan got kidnapped and the rescue. It’s called Black Whip and I’m now trying to work on it.” He went quiet before adding, “I think there’s going to be more aspects of it to manifest. When Black Whip did, I got pulled into this liminal space that was occupied by previous wielders of the quirk. I’m no better than a Nomu at this point.”
“I have so many questions about that. But first, I want to ask you about yourself. I’ve noticed a few things that are raising some concerns with all of us adults, Aizawa included.” Remus said gently, resting a hand on Izuku’s shoulder. “I think Bakugou is worried too.”
Izuku snorted, “I doubt that. He stopped wanting me around him when his quirk manifested. Aizawa only would because he’s my teacher, and that’s about the extent that would be. I’m fine, I can take care of myself. There are others in my class that need more help than I do.” He placed a bookmark, laid the book next to him and drew his knees to his chest. “I’m not exactly useful to have around.”
Sirius and Remus gave each other a long look over Izuku’s head. “Remus, why don’t you go get some hot chocolate for Izuku? I’ll work with him through the pensieve to see things from his point of view.” Remus nodded and left the room, throwing a look at Sirius.
The man turned his body to face Izuku, looking at the boy without speaking for a few minutes. “Izuku, I need you to look at me. I know you’re not okay. I may be able to help, but I need to see what’s happened to do so.” He waited for the boy to look at him. “May I give you a look over? I’ll make it quick and then I can get you something comfortable to be in.”
Izuku was quiet, taking a while before turning to face Sirius with guarded green eyes. “You won’t tell anyone else, right?” He bit his bottom lip to keep the desperation out of his voice.
Sirius sighed, cupping Izuku’s cheeks. “If I need more help I’ll have to tell someone. But until that’s necessary, I won’t tell anybody.” Mentally he added, I won’t say anything. I’ll just put it in the pensieve with the others to see. “Now, let’s have you stand up so I can see what we’re working with.”
Izuku nodded woodenly and slowly stood, swaying slightly. “What do you want to look at first?” He asked, voice flat.
Sirius scowled slightly, “How about we start with your upper body? Just take off your tank top and I’ll take a look real quick.” When Izuku removed his tank top, Sirius sucked in a breath. He could almost count Izuku’s ribs with how skinny the boy was. “Can you turn around? I’d like to see your back.”
Izuku hesitated. “Do I have to?” At Sirius’ sharp look, he slowly turned around. His body trembled slightly when Sirius snarled a curse and paced the room. The books on the shelves quaked with the force of magic swirling around Sirius as he tried to prepare to process the mess that was Izuku’s back.
“Izuku,” He rasped, brushing the ridges of old whip lashings crisscrossing the boy’s back and disappearing beneath the waistband of his shorts. “I need you to remove your shorts. I need to see how far this damage goes.”
The boy took a steadying breath before slowly removing his shorts. Hearing another sharp intake of air from a different area, his head snapped up and moved to find the source. Whimpering, he scrambled to try and pull his shorts and shirt back on quickly. He felt his breathing becoming erratic and his vision starting to tunnel. He vaguely heard voices talking to him as he kept trying to regain control of himself. When warm hands cupped his cheeks, he flinched away from the touch.
“Izuku, hey Izuku,” Remus’ voice came through the fog of panic. “Breathe kid, you’re safe. There’s no judgment from either of us. Follow my breathing.” He pulled the boy close to his chest and breathed calmly. As he kept breathing, he felt Izuku start to relax and sag against him. Remus looked up at Sirius as the boy’s breathing evened out into a sleeping rhythm.
“Sirius, this is bad. This is worse than Harry for Merlin’s sake!” Remus dragged his hand through his hair roughly. “We need to get Shouta and Severus as quickly as possible. It can’t just be you and I knowing.” His eyes were filled with tears that threatened to fall.
Sirius nodded sharply. “I had already planned on bringing them into the loop tonight when they get home.” He gnawed on his lip. “Remus, he’s in bad shape physically. Not just his back or the obvious malnutrition, look at his arms. Those are absolutely self-inflicted. What does that mean for him mentally? There’s no way he’s okay.”
Remus scooped the boy into his arms as he stood up from the floor. “I know Sirius, I’m going to put him in your room for you to watch him. I’ll stay out in the house to take care of the other kids since Shouta isn’t here.”
“Here, give him to me. I’ll take him up. The rest of the kids should be getting up soon, have the elves make some pancakes for breakfast.” Sirius gestured for the sleeping boy. “I’m going to put some pretty heavy wards up to keep him in one place. Can you send Severus a Patronus and let him know what’s going on?”
“I was planning on it. I think I’m going to tell them to leave Harry and Bakugou in the Chamber. This is a pressing issue and needs to be addressed as quickly and quietly as possible.” Remus said, handing the boy to Sirius and opening the door to leave the library. The two men walked up to Sirius’ room quietly, keeping an eye out for any of the other kids walking down the stairs. Once they got into Sirius’ room, they got Izuku comfortable in Aizawa’s bed. Sirius sat heavily on his own bed and sent Remus out to get the day started.
Remus strode from the room toward the kitchen. As he opened the door, he saw the red headed boy looking for some food. He smiled softly, “Hey kid, how’d you sleep?”
The boy looked over his shoulder, “I slept really well Mr. Moony. Do you know where Mr. Aizawa is? I wanted to ask him some questions about what we’re going to be doing. He may also know where Bakubro went. He’s usually the first one to the kitchen no matter what.” He paused, “We didn’t introduce ourselves last night! My name is Eijirou Kirishima, nice to meet you!”
Remus smiled and nodded at him. “So what is your quirk?”
Kirishima grinned and activated his quirk, turning into a rocky body. “My quirk is Hardening. Basically I can become a rock and be a great shield for people. I don’t know what would happen with the spells that y’all are working with but it’s going to be fun seeing what happens.”
“I see, that’s rather handy in a battle scenario.” Remus said, walking to get a drink. Chuckling at Kirishima’s happy response. “I need to step out for a few minutes. Winky and Dobby are going to make breakfast this morning. I won’t be long, but will you be okay by yourself?” At Kirishima’s nod, he walked out to the office off the kitchen.
Locking and warding the door thoroughly before taking a breath. He cast his patronus, taking a moment to smile gently as the raven flew around him once. “Sev, you need to come back as quickly as possible. There’s a situation that needs to be handled. Bring at least Shouta with you. But try to get your whole group back.” The raven flew off toward the man’s location. He leaned his back against the door and allowed the tears to fall from his eyes. Once he got his composure back, he scrubbed his face and walked back into the kitchen to find a few more of the kids sitting at the table.
“Good morning everyone,” Remus said. “I hope you all slept well! Once everyone is here, I have some announcements.” He smiled at the nods from the kids and called out, “Winky! Dobby! Would you be so kind as to make pancakes for everyone?”
The two elves popped into the kitchen and immediately began to make pancakes and other breakfast foods. The kids looked at the elves questioningly but didn’t make commentary and just shrugged their shoulders. There was a slight sigh of relief from Remus as he made his way to the table to listen to the conversations going around.
“Mina, have you seen Bakubro yet this morning? He wasn’t here when I got to the kitchen.” Kirishima asked the pink skinned girl, leaning around a boy with yellow and black hair, to look at her.
She shook her head, “I haven’t, are you sure he isn’t just asleep still? Or maybe out on his typical morning run?” She leaned her chin on her fist, “I’m sure Blasty will make himself known at some point this morning.”
“That’s a fair point,” Kirishima nodded. “Denki, what about you? Did you even see what room he’s in? Just in case we need to find him at some point to keep him from sulking.”
The yellow haired boy also shook his head. “If I had, Bakugou would already be away and trying to murder us.” The whole table snorted in agreement.
Remus, taking a sip from his tea cup, hid a smile as more and more of the kids came in. Once everyone was sitting around the table, Winky and Dobby levitated the food for them to dish themselves. He chuckled as he watched their eyes widen at the sheer amount of food in front of them before tucking in.
As they ate, a girl with frog-like features looked around and asked, “Where’s Midoriya? He and Bakugou are usually up by now.”
Remus sighed and answered, “Midoriya is still sleeping. Don’t worry, he’ll have some food once he’s awake. Bakugou is with Severus and will be fed where they are.”
“I hope they’re both okay.” The boy with a birdlike head said. “They don’t revel in the dark and it can catch up to you. Isn’t that right, Dark Shadow?” He looked at the dark entity that was eating over his shoulder. Dark Shadow nodded as he munched on a piece of bacon.
“Ah, good morning Draco.” Remus said as the blonde slunk into the kitchen. “Obviously breakfast is served so eat up.”
The boy grunted and sunk into the seat next to Remus. “Morning.” He immediately started serving himself a stack of pancakes and dug in.
For the next few minutes the only sounds around the table were cutlery on the plates and murmured questions to pass items around. Once the group were finished eating, the plates vanished from the table and immediately went into the sink.
“Alright, I know you have more questions. But I would like to get to know you all so that I can actually know your names. And if possible I’d like to know about your powers. I already know Kirishima’s as he was the first one down.” Remus grabbed the group’s attention. “Let’s go around the table. Starting with Mina, correct?”
The girl nodded, “Mina Ashido is my name, my quirk is acid. I channel acid from my hands as a defensive and offensive measure.”
Remus nodded and looked at the boy next to her. “I’m Denki Kaminari, I’m electric.” He grinned. “I can utilize quite a few volts of electricity, overuse typically fries my brain though.”
“I’m Kyouka Jirou.” The girl said, twirling one of her ear jacks. “My quirk is best suited for recon. I can plug my jacks into anything and hear everything.”
“I’m Momo Yaoyurozu.” She said politely, holding herself with more confidence than most purebloods. “I can create any inorganic material from the lipids in my body. The amount of lipids used is dependent on what the creation is.”
“I am Tokoyami Fumikage and this is Dark Shadow.” The boy gestured to the grinning shadow. “He is my quirk and friend. He can be a little volatile but we’re working to better work together.”
“I’m Shoji Mezo. I’m like Jirou in the way that my quirk is best used for recon. I can duplicate my arms and turn the ends into either eyes or ears.” He demonstrated what he meant quickly.
“I’m Koda Koji,” The boy said, nervously wringing his hands. “I can talk to all creatures.”
“I’m Ojiro Nashirao,” Gesturing to the large tail behind him. “My quirk is my tail, it’s useful in a fight and for balance.”
“I’m Sato Rikido,” The boy with incredibly bulky muscles. “I can turn sugar into strength. The more I consume, the stronger I get.”
“I am Yuga Aoyama.” The boy said, his demeanor flamboyant. “I shoot a laser from my belly.”
“I’m Tsuyu Asui,” The girl with the green hair and frog-like features said. “I can do pretty much anything a frog can do.”
“Oooh, ooh me next, me next!” An excited voice came from what seemed like empty space. “I’m Toru Hagakure! I’m invisible!”
“I’m Sero Hanta.” The boy with oddly shaped elbows said. “I shot tape from my elbows. I can use it in multiple scenarios.”
“I’m Ochako Uraraka!” Her cheeks a rosy color and a smile on her face. “I can control gravity! Mostly I can take it away from people, making it easier for rescue purposes.”
“My name is Tenya Iida.” The blue haired boy said standing and bowing. “I am the class representative. And my quirk is Engine. The pipes in my calves control the speed.”
The two tone haired boy said in a monotone voice, “I’m Shoto Todoroki. I have a dual quirk of fire and ice. I don’t use my fire side.” His face turned into a scowl.
“Nice to meet you all. I look forward to seeing you all in action sometime.” Remus said, his voice warm. “Now, I don’t know Midoriya or Bakugou’s quirks but I’ll learn those later. Right now, the only adults here are myself and Sirius. Your teacher, Bakugou, Harry and Severus are running an errand and will be back at some point today. There are a few ground rules here. One is to come to us for any questions about magic or, if you’re in the library to see which books are safe for handling. The second is to not leave the house unless you’re going into the backyard. The house is warded against hostile entities and going beyond those wards will leave you vulnerable. Third is to not take advantage of the House Elves. They are here to help you but they are not slaves.” He gave them a serious expression. “We do need to take you shopping so that you can blend easier in the Muggle and Wizarding worlds. We will be the ones to purchase those items for you.”
“That is very kind of you, Remus.” Said Momo, her tone grateful. “Are there any other things we need to know?”
Remus nodded. “Yes, there are more people coming to spend the next two weeks. They have no idea that you’re here so be prepared for a barrage of questions from three people in particular. They are practically family and as such are to be treated with respect. They will have their own rooms unless they want to bunk with anyone. We can make the rooms big enough to accommodate everyone. Other than that, you have free reign of the house.”
The class nodded at the easy rules. “These are definitely easier rules that Mr. Aizawa’s” muttered Mina.

Chapter Text
Katsuki stumbled out of the fireplace, nearly hitting his head on a bookshelf. Cursing he smacked the soot from his clothing. When Harry came through he glared. “What the fuck was that? And where the hell are we?”
“That was Floo travel. It’s a less magic intensive form of travel between places.” Harry explained. “We’re now at Hogwarts in Snape’s personal chambers.” Pointing at the door on the opposite side of the room. “That’s the potions room, if you value your life don’t go in there unless told specifically by Snape.”
Katsuki raised an eyebrow, “Why? Is something going to happen?” Crossing his arms and leaning against a wall. “What’s so special about this Chamber you were talking about anyway?”
The answer was interrupted by the sound of flames rising higher. Aizawa and Snape stepped out gracefully and they both adopted an apathetic expression. “The potions room is off limits until we know what you can do. There are volatile ingredients that could possibly kill you if you’re not careful. As for the Chamber, it’s hidden from even the headmaster and is the perfect place to utilize skills that would otherwise cause damage.” Severus drawled, looking at Harry. “Potter, check the map now to see if the old coot is nearby.”
Harry nodded quickly and grabbed an old piece of parchment. “I solemnly swear I am up to no good.” He said and watched as the map formed. Quickly scanning the map, he saw that Dumbledore was in the headmaster’s office with Ron Weasley. “He’s in his office, but for some reason Ron is there too. I thought that most students didn’t come to Hogwarts during the summer?”
Severus pursed his lips. “That is concerning. For now, we are here for the Chamber and should make our way down there quickly.” He ushered the group out of his quarters and gestured for Harry to lead the way to the closest entrance.
Harry stopped in front of a wall not far from Severus’ room and hissed a language that made the newcomers shiver. They watched as the wall melted away to unveil a staircase leading down. Harry strode forward with his wand lit to guide the group into the Chamber, Severus taking up the back of the group. There was a sound of stone moving back into place and they continued down for a few minutes until their footsteps hit a concrete floor.
“Welcome to the Chamber of Secrets! This is unknown to everybody but a select few. I am the only one that can get you into this place as it opens to Parseltongue.” Harry said, spreading his arms wide. “ I came down here in my second year to save my friend Ron’s little sister Ginny and ended up killing the basilisk that was down here.”
Severus snorted, “And almost got yourself killed in the process.” His face deadpan.
“So what can we do here?” Aizawa asked, his tone curious. His eyes moved over the space looking for potential issues.
“You can do anything in here, it was built as a training and safety room.” Harry laughed. “At least that was what I was told.”
“What do you mean by that Potter?” Severus questioned, narrowing his eyes at the raven teen.
Harry looked sheepishly at his professor. “Um, I may have come down here a few times last year to get away from people during the night.” He gestured to the stone face on the far wall. “I may have done some exploring and found an office that maybehadthefounderspotraitsinit.” He quickly finished.
Severus pinched the bridge of his nose. “Care to repeat that last bit Potter? I’m sure I misheard you.” He leveled a glare that brokered no funny business.
Harry sighed, “I found a portrait containing the founders and have been down a few times to speak with them. Salazar has been helping me with Parsel magic. He’s actually a real decent fellow. History is all wrong about him and his departure. He actually came back and never once did he say that the other founders were enemies.”
“You are going to take all of us there NOW Potter.” Severus said sharply. “And don’t think that this conversation is over. I am absolutely going to tell Remus and your Dogfather about this.”
Harry nodded mutely and led them to the figure. Hissing the password, the figurehead moved to the side and led into a cozy sitting room with a portrait frame in front of a plush couch.
“Salazar, I have some…. Guests that are demanding to meet you and everyone else. I may have let it slip that you were.” Harry hissed to the empty portrait. “And don’t worry, they are all trustworthy. They will not reveal you to the headmaster.”
There was a loud sigh from the portrait as it revealed four individuals. “Damn it Harry! We told you to keep it quiet! What on Earth made you talk?” A man with a salt and pepper beard and dark eyes said, exasperation coloring his tone as he looked at the group. “Hello, I am Salazar Slytherin, one of the founders of this school. Who are you?”
“Salazar, be nice. I’m sure that there’s a good reason they’re here.” A woman with Hazel-green eyes chided. “I’m Helga Hufflepuff. Welcome to Hogwarts! It’s nice to meet you.”
The other man, his eyes lit up in mirth, nudged Slytherin’s shoulder. “Come on Sal, you can’t deny that you’re curious.” He said, looking at the group, they saw that his eyes were heterochromatic, with gold and red. “My name is Godric Gryffindor. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
The other woman, in deep blue robes with eyes as dark as the night sky, introduced herself. “I am Rowena Ravenclaw. It’s nice to meet you in person, Katsuki Bakugou and Shouta Aizawa.” Her voice warm and inviting. “Please make yourselves comfortable.”
Aizawa immediately activated his quirk and pushed Katsuki behind him. Noting a small stutter in the portrait, he concluded that his quirk did affect magic. “How the fuck do you know us?” He snarled.
Katsuki, not fighting his teacher’s protective nature, peeked at Harry. Scowling at the surprised look coloring the other boy’s face. He tapped Aizawa’s back, when the man looked back at him, he said, “They can’t do anything to us. They’re a picture not physical. There’s got to be a reason that they know us. We should at least hear them out, Sensei.”
He frowned and let his quirk deactivate before plopping down on one of the couches. “Alright, start talking please. It’s been a hell of a 48 hours and I’m not entirely comfortable with where we’ve found ourselves.”
Rowena chuckled, “You and your class are here to help fulfill a prophecy. You will learn everything you will need to conquer it.” She looked at Aizawa with a hard expression. “You will need to keep on your guard. There are many things lurking under the surface of your students and you will need to help them through this difficult process.”
Harry and Severus’ faces drained of their color as they stared at the founders. “Are you talking about the one involving me?” Harry asked tentatively.
Godric nodded. “Yes, Harry. They will be an incredible asset to you in the coming battle. And you will be an asset to them when they need you.”
Aizawa, a chill moving up his spine, asked, “What is this prophecy and why are we needed for it?”
“Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives…” Recited Severus dully. “This is what we’re training Harry for. He was marked as the Dark Lord’s equal when he was a babe and as such kick started the prophecy.”
Harry’s expression rivaled Severus’ when he was displeased with his students. “I’m trying to learn as much as I can. We don’t know when Voldemort is going to attack. He just resurrected this last year after the bloody tournament that I had to participate in even though I’m underage.”
Aizawa crossed his arms over his chest with a thoughtful expression on his face. “Since we know why we’re here now, we can plan. Severus, Sirius, Remus and I can come up with a training schedule for everyone. If we’re going to be fighting against wizards, my class will need to be able to recognize spells that are most likely to be used against them.”
Severus nodded, “We can-” He was cut off by the appearance of Remus’ Patronus.
“Severus, Shouta, I need you to come home as soon as possible. There’s something going on with Midoriya that needs immediate attention.” His voice came through the spectral form. As the form faded, the two men looked at each other with worried looks and quickly stood.
As Aizawa moved toward the entrance, there was a tug on the back of his shirt. He turned around to see Katsuki’s pale face. “I’m coming with you.” He said, his voice shaky. “I might be able to help.”
His teacher hesitated before nodding. “If you do anything that will cause damage, I will make your life a living hell. Is that understood?” The boy swiftly moved with the other three.
Once they got back to Severus’ chambers they went directly to the fireplace. Within seconds they were whisked away to the house. As the flames died down and the group stepped out of the fireplace, they immediately went over to Remus.
“Where is he?” Aizawa demanded softly. His fists clenched to keep from shaking.
“He’s in with Sirius.” Remus responded quietly. Leaning closer to Aizawa, he muttered into his ear. “It’s on the same level or worse than Bakugou. There’s scars everywhere on his back and his arms. The ones on his arms look like they were caused around the same time and definitely a different method.” Neither man noticed Katsuki’s closeness or his swift departure from the kitchen.
The blonde walked out with a purpose, breaking into a sprint up the stairs to Sirius’ room. Skidding to a halt in front of the door, he knocked hard on the wood. It didn’t take long for the wizard to open the door, his face drawn and worried. Katsuki stormed past the man to see Izuku curled in a ball, showing scars that he had never seen. With a clenched jaw, he went to the green haired boy and knelt beside the bed. The blonde ran gentle hands over the scars on his back, the other boy relaxing slowly in his sleep. The younger boy whimpered in his sleep, tossing and turning. Katsuki’s eyes were drawn to his arms, showing what looked like small burns pressed into them. Tears slipped down his cheeks as he rested his head on Izuku’s back.
Izuku, trapped in a memory of the most recent beating his mother gave him, cried out, “I’m sorry mom! I didn’t mean to make any noise. Please don’t hurt me again!” His body hunched into an even tighter ball as if he was creating a smaller target. “Help me!” The boy had tears streaming from his closed eyes as he felt the whip ripping through his back, opening old scars that were already there.
His mother, bringing the whip down harshly, replied, “You’re useless, born without a quirk. You can’t do anything right. I told you that you were to be silent when home and wait for me to provide you food. You didn’t do that and you know the consequences.” She hit Izuku harder with the whip, seeing the blood running down the boy’s back. With one flick she hit him in the check, creating a slight line that was easily waved off. “You know that you deserve this. You shouldn’t have come back from Kamino. It would have been better if you had died.” She laughed at the cries from the boy before stopping. “Clean this up and take a shower to clean your back, it’s a mess. I had better not hear another sound from you, or your punishment will be much more severe.”
Izuku nodded and shakily stood up to move to the cleaning supplies and began cleaning up the blood on the floor that had surrounded him. He moved gingerly to avoid aggravating the wounds on his back. After he had that cleaned, he made his way to the bathroom and turned on the shower. Waiting for the water to heat to the correct temperature, he looked at himself in the mirror. Looking back at him was a boy he didn’t recognize. His face pale and sunken, eyes that were usually a vibrant green were dull and lifeless. He stood back and looked at his torso, grimacing at the ribs poking out through the skin. He moved to the shower to test the water and stepped in, hissing when the water trickled down his back over his shoulders. He quickly leaned backward to wash his hair before letting the water wash away the blood.
“Midoriya,” A gruff voice broke through the dream and the boy started, jerking into a sitting position. He quickly fell back after hitting his head on something solid. He opened his eyes and saw Katsuki kneeling next to him, concern etched on every inch of his face. His eyes, those ruby eyes that Izuku secretly loved, looked at him with a softness he hadn’t seen in a long time. “Midoriya, what happened?” Aizawa came into view, his own concern palpable. “And don’t you dare try to brush it off. Those are recent and a couple look like they’ve reopened.”
Izuku grimaced, noticing the blood running down his back. “It’s nothing Mr. Aizawa, just a reminder is all. Can I go take a shower to take care of my back?” He moved to get up, only to be stopped by Katsuki’s warm hands on his shoulders.
“‘Zuku,” he started quietly. “They have something to help heal you. Let us help you?” He leaned closer to the boy’s ear and whispered, “I am so sorry for how I treated you. I’m going to work to show you a better me. You didn’t deserve anything that I gave you. I want to be better to help you.”
Izuku stared at the blonde, his thoughts stopped in their tracks. “Do you mean that Kacchan?” He asked, his voice small and hesitant. “Please tell me that you mean it.” He searched the boy's face as he nodded. Izuku turned onto his stomach, showing the whip scars that marred his pale skin. He winced when the others in the room sucked in a breath at the damage.
“I’ll be right back,” He heard Severus say as the door opened. “I have a few healing salves and potions.”
They didn’t have to wait long for him to return. “Midoriya, who do you want to tend to your back?” Severus asked, his voice gentle.
Izuku buried his head in the pillow, “I-I want Kacchan to do it, please?” His voice was timid and scared.
Katsuki nodded, reached out to get the healing salve from Severus and gently sat next to Izuku. “Alright nerd, you’re going to feel my hands on your back. I’m going to start between your shoulders and then go lower. I’ll tell you as I work down your back.” He said in a matter of fact tone.
“Okay Kacchan,” Izuku took a deep breath, jumping slightly at the gentle touch of the explosive blonde’s warm hands. “Th- thank you Kacchan.” There was a gentle squeeze on his shoulder in response.
“Midoriya, while Katsuki is working on your back. I need to know how this happened.” Aizawa said, his usually gruff voice gentle. “You don’t have to look at us if you don’t want to, we just need to know so that we can take the appropriate measures.”
Izuku sucked in a breath as Katsuki hit an extra sensitive lash mark on his shoulder blade. The blonde paused until Isuku gave him a nod to continue. The room stayed quiet for a few minutes before the three grown men shifted to sit on Sirius’ bed.
Aizawa took a deep breath before asking, “Who did this to you, Problem Child?” He leaned his elbows on his knees. “There is no judgment from us. I need to know so that I can make sure I can take custody of you to get you out of the situation.”
Izuku took a few minutes before answering quietly, “My mom, mostly. There were a couple other people but it wasn’t as common for them to do anything.” He hid his face further into his arms to hide the tears in his eyes. He jumped slightly when he felt a rough hand that wasn’t Katsuki’s on his shoulder.
Aizawa’s eyes narrowed. “Who else Izuku?” His voice was hard and brokered no nonsense. When Izuku didn’t answer, his voice took a sharper edge. “Izuku, I am not going to leave this alone. You need to tell me. Right now.”
The boy whimpered, shaking his head. “I-I can’t Mr. Aizawa. I don’t want to ruin someone’s reputation just because they were a bully.” He bit into the pillow to keep the rest of the whimpers at bay. He felt fingers gently work their way between his jaw and arms before they lifted his head to look into black eyes that held a barely contained anger. The eyes did not belong to his teacher however, they belonged to the raven haired, sharp tongued wizard.
“Midoriya, this is far worse than bullying.” he started, his voice a soothing balm. “Is it something that you can’t say at all? Or just because you’re scared of the fallout it could cause?” Izuku attempted to pull his chin from the gentle grip, the fingers tightening to keep his face toward Severus. “If you are unable to make the words, I can slip into your mind and see it for myself. But that will only be if you allow it.”
The boy’s green eyes widened nervously as he looked into the black eyes. “You’re sure you can do that, sir?” He asked, his lower lip trembling and tears threatening to fall faster down his cheeks.
Severus briefly glances at Katsuki before looking back at Izuku, “I know I can. I just need you to think of the person. And if you can, a memory of what was done.” He gently carded his fingers through the green curls. “Everyone that you want to stay in the room will. But if you don’t want someone here, you need to tell us.”
Izuku thinks for a few minutes before answering, “Everybody here can stay,” he raised himself up a little bit to look at Katsuki. “You need to promise me that you won’t use this against me, Kacchan. Can you promise me that?” His eyes bore desperately into the rubies over his shoulder.
Katsuki pauses, his hands stopping their ministrations. He takes an unsteady breath before answering, “I promise, nerd. I’m going to make sure that this stops happening.” He started working the salve into Izuku’s back again. “I’m going to move to your lower back. It should serve as a little bit of a distraction.”
Izuku looked at Severus, his eyes defeated. “Will this hurt, sir?”
Severus shook his head. “No Midoriya, you shouldn’t feel anything but maybe a slight pressure. The only thing that you need to do is maintain eye contact with me. As soon as I see what’s needed I will withdraw.” He considered the boy in front of him. “Is this a comfortable position? Or would you want to adjust first?”
Izuku bit his lip, “Can I roll onto my side with a couple pillows under my head? Kacchan can either sit or lay behind me.”
They all nodded and adjusted accordingly. Severus pulled a low chair to sit in comfortably while maintaining contact. Aizawa sat quietly, keeping his eyes fixed on the blonde working on Izuku’s back. Sirius stood near the door, working to keep the wards around the room up, preventing any noise from escaping.
Severus and Izuku took a breath before Severus cast, “Legimens.” and slid carefully into the boy’s head.
The first thing he sees in the boy’s head is the similarities to Katsuki in terms of organization. Where Katsuki had doors, Izuku had bookcases. Some with glass doors and some that were encased in metal and locked with padlocks. With his magic, he nudged Izuku to open the closest one to him. As the door opened, the first thing Severus hears is painful cries and the sound of skin striking skin. Steeling himself, he opened the door further to see what was happening. The first thing he sees is a beach that Izuku is cleaning, lifting heavy objects and trash with a burly blonde man yelling at him to go faster and work harder. The boy was pushing himself too hard and hurting himself.
“All Might, I need a break or I’m going to cause permanent damage to my body.” Izuku said, breathless from the exertion but not stopping. “This is too much. I can’t sustain this on the diet plan that you set on top of endurance training.”
The man scowled before jumping off the refrigerator that he was sitting on. Walking up to Izuku, he grabbed his jaw in an almost bruising grip forcing the boy to look into a pair of bright blue eyes. “If you want to inherit my quirk, you will listen to everything that I tell you to do and not complain about it.” He brought his fist into Izuku’s stomach, causing the boy to double over and fall to his knees. “Right now you are weak and pathetic, this will make you stronger.”
The boy was on his hands and knees coughing and trying to push himself into a standing position when All Might kicked him in the side, a crack sounding from his ribs. Tears welled in his eyes as he curled into a ball to make a smaller target. The man kept kicking the boy, berating him the entire time. When he was done kicking the kid, he lit a cigarette with a sadistic smirk and pressed the burning end into Izuku’s arm causing the boy to scream.
“You deserve this. You know that you deserve this all because you were born quirkless.” All Might relit and pressed the cigarette in another spot to leave another burn, listening to the boy scream before scoffing and walking away. “You may rest tomorrow. But I expect you to still follow your diet.”
Izuku just curled further into himself as he cried in the sand, before slowly pushing himself up and limping home. As he limped into his home, he was met with an immediate slap to his cheek snapping his head to the left rapidly. He looked at his mother who had a snarl on her face as she spat, “You worthless thing. Can’t even come home on time. Get your sorry ass to your room and make absolutely no sound.” The berating continued until he quietly shut his door.
As the memory ended, Severus pulled himself out of Izuku’s mind. As he came back to himself, he took a moment to breathe before he looked at Aizawa, his expression pained. He rested his hand on the boy’s head before sighing. “Does the name All Might ring any bells, Shouta?”
The man stiffens as the blonde boy sucks in a breath. Aizawa’s jaw clenched, “What did he do? And how many times?”
Izuku whimpered and buried his head into Katsuki’s lap at the tone slipping into his teacher’s voice. Katsuki stopped rubbing the healing salve into Izuku’s back to pull him further into a protective hold.
“It’ll be okay, ‘Zuku. I promise it’ll be okay.” Katsuki whispered, tightening his hold. “Aizawa and the others won’t let anything more happen to you. We will protect you as much as we can.” He felt the other boy slowly melt into his hold and adjusted him to rest the green curls on his collarbone.
Aizawa nodded solemnly, “He’s right, Izuku. We are going to get you out of that situation. You will not go back, ever again. I will make sure that All Might gets what he deserves. You never should have been subjected to this.”
“Shouta,” Remus started quietly, “We need to plan next steps to prevent this from continuing, but we need to do so when he’s ready to talk. But for now, we need to focus on healing him.”
“Aizawa, I can keep an eye on him.” Katsuki whispered. “There’s not much I can do. But I can at least keep him secure.”
Aizawa nodded, getting up from his spot, “Very well, Bakugou. If there is something that you can’t take care of, then you get any of us adults. You can’t do this on your own.” He stared at the boy, “Do you understand me?”
Katsuki nodded, his face set in a determined expression. As the men got up and walked out of the room, Katsuki tightened his grip and buried his nose in the green curls.

Chapter Text
The moment Aizawa left the room he punched the opposite wall. The knuckles bruised and split with the force behind the punch. He heard the shifting of clothing that was not associated with the known people around him. He threw out his capture weapon in the direction of the sound without looking and smirked at the indignant yelps. He tugged on the cloth pulling the captured bodies into the hallway and found it was Harry and Draco with strings that reminded him of Jiro’s quirk, coming out of their ears. Looking at the adults sheepishly, they didn’t fight the tugs.
“Do you two not know the meaning of the wards being put up?” Snarked Severus. “Or have you forgotten your manners and decided to eavesdrop into something that didn’t concern you?”
Harry leveled a glare at the man while Draco lowered his eyes to the floor. “We were worried about a friend that needs help.” Harry snarled. “You know we can’t and won’t go as far as needed to learn what we need to. And don’t even think that Fred and George won’t sink their teeth into this either. They’re worse than we are, as evidenced by my second year.”
Sirius sighed as he motioned Aizawa to release the boys. “We understand where you’re coming from Harry, but we’ve taught you better than to eavesdrop. And this is a much more delicate situation to handle. The only thing that we need you to do is to watch out for both of them. Not just Izuku, Katsuki needs support as well.”
“Katsuki has made some questionable decisions,” Remus cut in, a steely gaze in his eyes. “But you are not to pry into anything. Do you understand?”
“But Moony-” Harry began.
“Do you understand Harry James Potter?” Remus growled, not allowing Harry to ignore his question. Watching the boy squirm under the intensity of his expression. It only takes a minute before Harry is nodding to show that he does understand the command. “Good, now go back down to the kitchen. You don’t need to be up here. And lose the ears. Or I will destroy them for good this time.”
The boys hang their heads and trudge down the stairs. Sirius shakes his head and places his hand on Aizawa’s shoulder and begins guiding him up to the roof of the house to avoid any further questions from the kids. As soon as they step out onto the roof, the men sit on the furniture arranged in a circle. They don’t speak, each lost in their own thoughts trying to process the influx of information in a short period of time.
As Harry and Draco trudged into the kitchen, they were met with a silence that hadn’t been there when Draco had left after eating his breakfast. They looked at each other warily.
“What’s going on, you guys?” Kirishima asked, crossing his arms. “Jiro heard some stuff that has us concerned. And hiding things isn’t very manly.”
The boys back up toward the door only to find themselves blocked by Shoji. “We deserve as much of an explanation as possible. We are Class A and we take care of each other.” He gently started pushing the blonde and raven boys toward the open seats at the table.
As soon as they sat down, Sero wrapped them in tape, making sure that they couldn’t move. The group looked at the two expectantly, waiting for them to give them the information requested. The boys launched into their story, glossing over information that wasn’t necessary. As they spoke the class grew more and more pale, their dismay prominent.
“Where are they now?” Kirishima asked, his voice shaking. “Where are Bakubro and Midoriya? We couldn’t pinpoint them with Jiro’s quirk. Something muffled the sound.”
“They’re in Sirius’ room.” Harry said, “But give them the chance to relax and come down themselves. It was a lot and if we force ourselves into it, they’re more likely to keep everyone out. Just be there for them, I definitely understand the urge to just insert yourself in the situation. I do it fairly often.”
The kids all looked at each other and nodded in agreement. Small conversations broke out amongst them, mostly plans on how best to help their classmates.
Izuku shifted against Katsuki, “Hey Kacchan,” he said quietly. “Why are you helping me so much? I thought you didn’t want anything to do with me unless I was only progressing with OFA. I don’t understand.”
“I never stopped caring, Zuku. I just wanted to protect you from getting hurt because you were quirkless.” Katsuki bit his lip and buried his face further into the green curls. “I should have told you what I was trying to do. I should have stepped in to help you instead of feeding into it. I’m so sorry Zuku.”
“I’m not going to lie and say that it didn’t hurt, Kacchan. I thought I was doing something wrong and made you hate me.” Izuku shifted to look Katsuki in the eye, flinching slightly as his back had pressure put on it. He smiled gently, bringing his hand to cup the blonde’s cheek. “I understand why you did it now, but I felt like I lost my best and only friend. I had nobody to talk to, or help with the whip scars. There was more than one time where I was wearing four to five shirts to keep the blood from showing at Aldera. I forgave you a long time ago.” He sat up and shifted to put his back against the headboard.
Katsuki turned to face Izuku, pulling his knees to his chin. He said, “I can’t believe what an asshole I was. I will be apologizing for the rest of our lives. Assuming you want anything to do with me after we graduate and become full blown heroes.” He jolted when he felt a scarred hand cover one of his clenched fists. He shook his head at the pleading look in Izuku’s green eyes. “You’re too forgiving, you know that?”
Izuku chuckled and brought Katsuki into a tight hug. “Can we cuddle? Like we used to as kids? I’m even more touch starved than I was back then.”
Katsuki snorted and nodded, shifting into the normal position of cuddling that the boys used to do as kids. Pulling Izuku in by the waist to fit snugly against his chest. They both quickly fell asleep as they sunk into the familiarity and safety it brought them.
“Shouta,” Sirius said, gently taking hold of his wrist as he paced back and forth, agitated. “I know this is a lot, but we know now and can help them. We have access to quite a few things that are helpful in healing old scars, mental and physical.”
Aizawa sighed, slumping into the seat next to Sirius. “I just don’t know how I missed the signs. I should have stepped in sooner. These are my kids damn it. It’s my job to protect them, and with the track record so far I’m not doing a fantastic job.”
Severus snorted, “Well that’s a lie in that regard. From what we’ve learned, you’ve done everything that you could.” He glanced at the other man. “You’re only one person and can’t do everything. You’re taught them what they need to know to survive. They will be better for it as they grow up. That’s more than most kids will get in their lifetime.”
“You’re not alone now, Shouta. We’re going to work together to make sure every single child that we are responsible for is taken care of. And not just in the platitude way. I mean in a meaningful way.” Remus stated, putting his hand on Aizawa’s knee, squeezing gently.
“All this does is make me wonder what else I’ve missed. Who else has been abused, or neglected?” Aizawa said, shaking his head ruefully. Laying his head on the back of the chair he was slumped in, he groaned. “At least I can start looking for any other signs in the other kids.”
The other men nodded, once again lost in their thoughts. They were jerked from their thoughts at the sound of small pops next to Sirius. They all looked over at Dobby, who was wringing his hands. “Dobby is sorry for interrupting. I is bringing an update. The blonde and green boys are asleep.”
“Thank you, Dobby.” Sirius said, “I need you and Winky to keep an eye on the rest of those kids. Have Kreacher help as well. He’ll notice things that you won’t.” Dobby nodded and popped away.
“We have more pairs of eyes now, and we have more coming soon.” Sirius explained, throwing his arm around Aizawa’s shoulders. “I trust a few of the others that are coming. They are going to be mischievous about it, but they’re good kids.”
Aizawa sighed and leaned into Sirius’ side slightly. “As long as you trust them, I’ll keep quiet about their methods.”
They sat for a little while longer before getting up and going back down to the kitchen. As they stepped into the room, the noise immediately ceased. The first thing they saw was Harry and Draco taped to chairs at the table with the class in a semicircle around them. The men looked at each other and sighed as one.
“Problem children,” Aizawa said, his hair rising as his quirk activated. “What the hell is going on here?”
“Uh, nothing Sensei!” Ashido said, frantically waving her hands in front of her. “Everything is totally fine.”
Eyes narrowed at her antics. “That doesn’t inspire confidence, kid.” Sirius snorted. “But we’ll let it slide for now.”
Pointing at the two boys, Aizawa ordered, “Let them go. They don’t need to be secured anymore. Not that it needed to happen in the first place.”
Mina walked up to the boys and allowed a small amount of acid to eat through the tape. “We can keep an eye on them, right Harry?” She whispered in his ear.
He nodded as he got to his feet. “We all will.” He turned and reached out for Draco’s hand to pull him up as well. They cleaned up the remaining tape and looked expectantly at the adults.
“What’s the plan now?” Denki asked. “We can’t just not train while we’re here.”
“You’re right, Kaminari.” Aizawa nodded. “We have a way to get a safe place to train. But it requires absolute secrecy. You cannot tell anyone. And you have to be on your guard, there’s at least one person that we need to be aware of.”
The men joined the kids at the table and began to hash out plans to get training started. They also gave more information about the group that was joining them. It didn’t take long before they went over what they could and couldn’t do in the house. They also went through the rules around how to handle the backyard. As they dispersed, there was a chuckle around the kids as they all went outside to bask in the sun.
Notes:
So a little shorter than my usual, but that's to be expected sometimes. Updates may start to be a little more sporadic since I start a new job on Monday! But I'm going to try and get at least one chapter a week. No set day during the week cause that just takes the fun out of the writing for me.
Chapter 10: Chapter Ten
Summary:
Starting to plan for the Weasley invasion! And to get plans for healthy kids!
Notes:
So this one was kind of a tough chapter to get up. Between new job and where my brain went in terms of being mean to characters...
BUT! I'm hopefully gonna be getting more and more consistent hours which means a more consistent writing schedule.
I really hope y'all like this one! Thanks guys!

Chapter Text
“Alright, the Weasleys and Hermione will be here tomorrow. We’ve got the rooms ready, but should we warn at least the twin terrors and Ginny?” Sirius asked, looking at Remus and Severus specifically.
Remus tapped his chin in thought. “It may not be a bad idea. If needed they can help run interference when Molly gets here. God knows how bad she’s going to commandeer this place when she gets here.”
Severus grimaced, “That woman is a menace. How at least those three kids turned out the way they have, is astounding.” He looked at Aizawa. “She, her youngest son, and possibly the girl coming with them will need to be watched. They aren’t as trustworthy, we believe that they are in Dumbledore’s pocket.”
Aizawa nodded, “It’s easy enough to keep things hidden from nosy people. I’m well versed in doing so.”
“We’ll have to keep the acts up when they get here. They can’t know that we at least tolerate each other. There would be too many questions that could put us all in danger.” Remus piped up. “Severus, you and Sirius have it the easiest since everyone assumes that you absolutely despise each other. We’re going to have to separate Harry and Draco. Severus, I know you don’t particularly like Spinner’s End, but that’s going to be the safest place for you and Draco to stay.”
The man nodded and rose from his seat. “I’ll go tell them, we should be able to stay the night and leave early. One of you two should send a letter to the hellions, let them know to keep it quiet minus Ginny.”
Remus stood and walked out the door with Severus, shoulder to shoulder. Sirius shook his head stifling a laugh. “Those two think they’re subtle.”
“I knew it.” Aizawa said, “But unless you know what you’re looking for it’s not that obvious.” He groaned as he stood from his seat, joints popping. “I need to check on Problem Child One and Two. Care to join me?”
The man smiled and allowed himself to be pulled on to his feet.
They walked up to Sirius’ room and poked their heads around the door. They found the boys wrapped around each other, Katsuki holding Izuku in tight to himself. He cracked open a ruby colored eye and moved a finger to his lips in a shushing gesture as they eased themselves inside the room.
“Hey kid,” Aizawa started quietly, settling on the foot of Izuku’s bed. “How are you both doing?”
Katsuki blinked rapidly, clearing the sleep from his eyes. “He’s been sleeping pretty heavily. After everything, he needs it.” He ran his fingers gently through the curls with a fond expression on his face. “I never thought this would be a thing again. This isn’t the first time this has happened. It usually happens when he’s incredibly stressed and tired.”
“What do you mean, Bakugou?” Aizawa asked, an eyebrow raised. “What happens?”
Katsuki sighs, shifting slightly when Izuku starts whimpering quietly. “When his body actually stops to rest, he gets really bad nightmares. The thing is, when it happens any sound he makes shuts off into utter silence. He’ll toss and turn until he wakes up abruptly not long after he falls asleep. The only way to really get him to sleep is to do what I’m doing for him right now. Essentially being a human weighted blanket.”
Aizawa reached over and placed his hand on Izuku’s ankle. “What about you Bakugou?” His voice soft, “This has been a rough couple days now.”
Katsuki shook his head. “Izuku is the one that needs the help right now. I’m not concerned with myself. I just want to make sure that he’s going to be okay.” He tightened his grip on the other boy, as if scared to lose him.
Izuku, hearing hushed voices above him, shifted slightly against Katsuki. He felt the boy tense before relaxing again. He heard the last comment that the boy made and buried his face in the blonde’s neck, feigning sleep. The voices silenced momentarily, almost waiting for Izuku to make some noise. He bit his lip waiting for the conversation to pick back up.
“There has to be something that you need, Bakugou.” Aizawa spoke, his voice still soft in an effort to keep Izuku asleep. “I’m sorry that I played into the assumption that you hate Midoriya. You tried what you thought was best. But now we know and can help you protect him.”
“You love him, don’t you?” Sirius’ soft voice came from the area near Izuku’s head. “That’s why you’re trying so hard to protect him.”
Katsuki inhaled sharply, “He can’t know. He’s too good for me. I was an absolute menace and definitely don’t deserve him.” His voice shook. “I have so much to make up for.”
Izuku’s eyes widened, He loves me? I thought he hated me! He keeps getting mad at me. But he did fall back into an old habit. Maybe we can move forward from here. He thought, his bottom lip caught between his teeth.
Sirius sighed and muttered, “God the past shows itself. Kid, you need to tell him. If you don’t you’ll just watch him leave you behind. That almost happened with Sev and Moony. I don’t want to see that happen to you. I’m not saying you have to jump into a relationship, but don’t let the unknown stop you.”
“I don’t know if I can tell him yet.” Katsuki said, resting his cheek on Izuku’s head. “I don’t know how.”
“So don’t tell him,” Aizawa said, “Show him. You work better through action. Play to that strength. Words can come later.”
Izuku felt the nod, and decided to shift awake. “Kacchan,” He said, his voice rough with sleep. “How long have we been asleep?” Lifting his head from Katsuki’s neck, he turned to slot his back against the warm chest behind him. Looking at the men in front of them, “How long have you been here, Mr. Aizawa?”
Aizawa snorted, “Maybe ten minutes kid. You’ve been asleep for a couple hours. Sirius and I just came to check in on you two. The rest of the class, Harry and Draco are all worried about you.” He squeezed Izuku’s ankle, “We do need to continue the conversation from earlier. Nothing too invasive this time. Just general information.”
Izuku nodded and moved to stand, only to be kept in place against Katsuki’s chest. He looked at the blonde questioningly, seeing his face flushed a slight red. He smiled and nudged the arms encircling him. “I’m okay now Kacchan. My back doesn’t feel as bad as it did earlier. You can go back to everyone else, I’ll be fine.”
Katsuki shook his head vehemently, “Not a chance nerd. You need to keep sleeping and more of that salve on the rest of your back. I’m not leaving you.” He smirked, “Plus, Aizawa won’t let you get up anyway. The extras can deal with waiting a little longer. They’re outside right now, you can hear them through the window. You and I are gonna be stuck in bedrest for a bit. More for you than me.”
Izuku blushed furiously and buried his face into Katsuki’s chest. “B-but your friends are gonna wonder where you are! You don’t need to look after me.”
“Shut up nerd. I’m staying and you can’t make me leave.” Katsuki said, his voice slightly more harsh than he intended. Feeling Izuku stiffen against his chest, he apologized. “Sorry, I’m not mad at you. But it’s gonna be you and me for a long time.”
“Are you sure, Kacchan?” Izuku asks, curling in on himself as much as he was capable of with Katsuki’s arms around him. Gasping quietly when warm fingers started combing through his hair gently, carefully detangling the curls.
“I’m sure, Zuku.” Katsuki said firmly. “I told you I was going to make things up to you and I intend to do just that. And if that means me staying in here with you to make sure you get taken care of and get some fucking sleep, I’ll do that with minimal complaint.”
“He’s right, Midoriya.” Aizawa cut in before Izuku could respond. “You need to rest and more importantly heal. There’s nothing more for you to do, physically. I need to ask you some simple questions, nothing too invasive but it needs to be done so that when we figure out how to get home we can then put things into action. I’m not going to let anyone get off scot free. Bakugou, you and I will be talking about things that you’ve said.”
Katsuki nodded, a solemn expression on his face. “Yes sir. Before we get into everything, can we get some food? Izuku needs something to eat.” He glanced down at the green curls shaking rapidly. “You know you need to eat. You know that you’re too skinny. It’s not healthy, especially when we can practically count every rib.”
“Midoriya, how long have you been this underweight?” Sirius asked, his voice dripping with concern. Turning to Aizawa, “I’m not being accusatory with this question, but how was this not noticed before?”
Aizawa shook his head, “He’s never changed in front of me, and his clothes always fit him well. But Recovery Girl should have mentioned something about this with all of the times he’s been in the infirmary.” His eyes narrowed at Izuku’s shoulders as they tensed. “She knew, apparently. But she didn’t do or say anything about it to me. I’m not even sure she told Nezu, otherwise he would never allow this to continue.”
Severus tapped Izuku on the shoulder to get his attention. He waited until the boy turned one eye to him. “What did she do, Midoriya?” He asked, his voice even more gentle than it had been before. “Or rather, what did she not do when you were under her watch?”
Izuku’s jaw clenched as he felt tears slip down his cheeks. “She didn’t really do anything, other than tell All Might. She only ever healed the really bad injuries, like the breaks in my arms before I started using my legs. But the little stuff, fractures, cracked ribs and that stuff? She would just send me to the dorm with explicit instructions to go straight to my room.” He raised his crooked hand. “She barely healed this, wanted it to be a lesson about going overboard I guess. But as far as I know, she never told Nezu. She saw everything, the scars on my back, the cigarette and lighter burns… And other injuries.”
Severus’ eyes sharpen, “What other injuries, Midoriya?” His voice was sharper than what he had used before. His grip tightened slightly on Izuku’s shoulder.
“Please don’t make me say, Mr. Snape. I can’t have anyone else know.” Izuku’s voice breaks, his eyes terrified.
“Katuski, Shouta, and Sirius,” Severus said, his voice razor sharp. “Leave, now.” He glared at the three as they started to protest. “It won’t be for long. But you three being here is not going to make him talk about it.”
The two men clenched their jaws as they stood, seeing the hard look in Severus’ eyes. They waited for Katsuki to untangle himself from Izuku, impatient. When he stood, Aizawa quickly gripped his upper arm and pulled him from the room. Sirius followed slowly, his eyes narrowed slightly before closing the door quietly behind him.
Severus, as soon as the door closed, cast the strongest privacy wards in rapid succession to ensure that they were not going to be overheard. Sitting in front of Izuku, making sure that the boy was looking him in the eye, he firmly asked. “What did he do? You are not going to be punished or anything else by telling me. I have ways of keeping everything in my mind hidden from all but those who are more powerful than me.”
Izuku trembled and pressed his back into the wall behind him. Pulling his legs to his chest to make himself as small as he possibly could, he shook his head. “I can’t tell anyone. They’ll just say that I’m lying.”
The raven man’s jaw clenched as he moved down to sit directly in front of Izuku. Gently tugging the boy into his chest, he cradled the green curls against his collarbone. “I know you’re scared. But let me tell you what I tell all of my first year Slytherins. If you don’t tell anyone what’s wrong, it can’t be fixed. It doesn’t matter if it is the absolute truth, or even a little embellished, you still need to speak up.” His long fingers twisted the curls as he waited for Izuku to respond.
Izuku sniffed, rubbing his nose with his hand. “He used me, Mr. Snape.” His voice sounded like a small child. “Please don’t make me say it. It’s bad enough that it happened to me, but I can’t say it.”
Severus’s grip tightened, causing Izuku to squeak. “I understand. The only thing I need to know now is how long ago?”
“The morning that Harry and Draco showed up. He had kept me overnight. I had barely enough time to get dressed and ready to show my face to the class since we were going to be watching a movie.”
Severus held Izuku as he cried into his shoulder. Desperately wishing that he could go out and torture this person who treated this child so horribly. After the sobs quieted down, Severus shifted to look at Izuku again. “I’d like to try something. There should have been signs of sleep deprivation and things of that nature. But from what I’ve seen and heard, Aizawa never saw anything until today.”
Izuku cocks his head, “What do you mean, sir?”
“I’m curious to see if you have any sort of magic in you. Quirks may be a new branch of magic. I have a spell that would cancel any that are currently on you.” Severus cleared his throat, “But I need to tell you that any and all magic would be removed. I don’t believe it would affect the actual Quirk.”
“Is there a way to put things back before the others would be let back in?” When Severus nodded, he drew in a breath. “Okay, we can try it.”
The two shifted to face each other, Severus on Sirius’ bed. As Severus raised his wand to point at Izuku, there was a pounding on the door from multiple fists. The raven haired man scowled and silenced the noise before getting back to Izuku. They both took a breath as Severus muttered, “Finite Incantatem.”
Severus watched the boy intently, seeing the facade of bright eyes fade away. His face paled as Izuku became gaunt, cheeks sunken and eyes devoid of the life there had been before. He watched in even more horror as more scars and bruises appeared on the boy’s body. He swore as finger marks bloomed around Izuku’s wrists and neck.
“Izuku,” Severus said, his voice shaking. “Please stand up and turn around, I need to see if there’s any other damage. Then we can make a plan to get you back to being healthy.” He clenched his fist around his wand, studiously ignoring the increasingly frantic pounding on the door. He did not see Remus slip into the room and add more wards to the door. Severus jumped slightly at the hand that rested itself on his shoulder. Remus’ hand tightened as they took in the sight of the boy’s injuries.
“Izuku,” Remus started softly. “We need to bring in our healer, Madame Pomfrey is trustworthy and incredibly skilled in what she does.”
Izuku startled and the two men watched as the glamor immediately went back into place around the boy. He dove back under the blankets on the bed that he had previously occupied. Curling into a ball with only his head popping out he squeaked, “When did you get here Remus?”
“I haven’t been here long, but I know everything that you told Sev.” He said, his voice tight. “The wards that were put up blocked everyone else from hearing what you had said. So it’s only going to be between the three of us right now. But that won’t be for long. The only one of your peers that will know is Bakugou so that you get as much help as possible.”
The Izuku shaped lump curled tighter to himself. “Is that entirely necessary?” his voice squeaked. “I’ll be fine after a few days.”
Remus and Severus gave him unimpressed looks. He deflated quickly and awkwardly chuckled, “You’re right. Might as well get this over with.” He sighed. “Mr. Snape, do we need to show them everything or do you think you can just describe it?”
Severus nodded curtly as he took down most of the wards before moving to open the door. He slipped out briefly before bringing the rest of the group back in.
Katsuki beelined to Izuku, taking in the boy curled up into a tight ball. He knelt down in front of Izuku, “Can I rub some more of that potion stuff on your back? I only got about half way. And some of those scars are gnarly.”
Izuku sighed and shifted to lay back on his stomach. “Yeah Kacchan, that sounds good. Just be careful with the lower back and legs, okay?”
Katsuki’s face crinkled as his head tilted. “You got it nerd.” He tugged the comforter off Izuku’s back and gently straddled his calves. Dipping his fingers into the potion he warned. “Alright nerd, I’m going to start at the middle of your back now and then work my way down.” He pressed his fingertips to the boy’s back and began slathering the paste on the visible marks.
Izuku allowed himself to relax into the gentleness of Katsuki’s hands and melted into the bed. Sighing in content he ignored the glaring elephant in the room. The only sounds in the room were the breathing of the individuals in the room.
“Severus, what happened while you and Problem Child were in here?” Aizawa asked, breaking the quiet. “And what is the plan going forward?”
Severus watched Izuku tense, causing Katsuki to pause briefly. He took a few moments before explaining everything that had happened. He watched as the others grew more and more tense, Katsuki even pausing again with horror on his face.
Aizawa blanched, his shoulders shaking in rage. He looked at Izuku, “Is this something that you can show me Problem Child?”
Izuku took a shaky breath and looked over his shoulder at Katsuk. “Kacchan, I need you to promise me that you won’t think less of me. Or treat me any differently. I also need you to get off my legs cause I know you’re going to want to explode something. Can you do that for me?”
Katsuki nodded, moved off of Izuku and strode to the other side of the room. Once he was against the wall, Izuku slowly stood up and turned to allow his back to face the others. Taking a deep breath he looked at Severus, “Would you do the honors, sir?” He shivered at the feeling of the glamor leaving his skin. Wincing at the sharp inhale and the sound of small explosions popping, Izuku turned around to face the others.
“Oh my God,” Aizawa rasped. “Problem Child, when is the last time you really ate something?” He growled at the half hearted shrug.
“Zuku,” Katsuki began softly. “Can I come back over? You look like you’re going to fall over.” As soon as the boy nodded, he made his way over and wrapped his arm around the shaking shoulders. He sat first and drew the boy onto his lap, slowly rocking him.
“It’s been a couple of days, Mr. Aizawa.” The soft broken response came. “And I hadn’t had much to eat before then. My stomach is too small to let me eat a lot or anything rich. I don’t even really get to eat my favorite food because of it.”
Sirius cut in before Aizawa could get into a tirade. “Now we know and can make the correct actions to fix this situation. He’s going to get better. He has the 5 of us, Harry, Draco and will have the twins and Ginny on top of that. And I’m assuming that if the rest of the class figures it out, they’ll be on top of it too.” He looked at Severus and nodded. “We’ll start on the nutrient potions right away, that’ll help get the eating and stomach situation back to normal. As for the bruising and the scars, we’ll do as much as we can even though the scars won’t all go away completely.”
“Winky,” Called Severus. “Please bring me a vial of nutrient and stomach soothing potion.” Two vials appeared next to his hand and he held them up to Izuku. “I need you to drink these. I warn you now, they will not taste the greatest. But these will help with getting your stomach to the correct size and replace the missing nutrients in your body. You will take the nutrient potions at every meal and the stomach soothing potion in the morning. You will get reminders and will not be able to skip.”
Aizawa piped in, “You will not be doing any heavy physical training until you’ve gained at least 15 pounds. Anything light can be done, but if you look like you are flagging you will be on the sidelines to rest. Is that understood?”
Izuku nodded softly. “Yes sir. Is there anyone I should avoid training with until I get the okay to work harder?” His voice was blank and devoid of emotion. “I don’t want to cause extra concern or be a burden on everyone else.”
“No, Izuku.” Remus sighed, reaching over to clasp his shoulder. “Other than those stipulations, you are more than welcome to do anything we can help with.”
Izuku sighed and took the potions, face contorting in disgust. “Why are these so bad?” He coughed. “And how are these supposed to help someone?”
The wizards snorted and shook their heads. “You’ll never get those answers. Just ignore it and take a good chaser with it to mask the lingering taste.” Sirius barked a laugh. “I think it’s time for us to check on the other kids. Who knows what damage has been done. We also need to make sure that the other rooms are set up correctly.”
The men nodded as they stood up. Aizawa looked at the boys on the bed and asked, “Do you want me to tell them anything? Or send any of them up?”
Izuku shook his head quickly and pressed back into Katsuki. “We’ll come down soon. They’re probably worried and they don’t need to do so for any longer than necessary.” He bit his lip at the looks directed at him. “It’ll be okay, I promise.”
The men nodded and made their way out of the room. Once the door closed, Severus and Remus went down the stairs to start getting the rooms ready for the new arrivals. Sirius lightly gripped Aizawa’s shoulder and steered him back toward the roof. They walked quietly until they got to the furniture that they had previously occupied. They were lost in their thoughts listening to the noise from the backyard below them.
“Kiri!” Mina called, a sparkle in her golden eyes. “When do you think Blasty is going to come out?”
The red head snorted as she sat next to him. “Mina, Bakubro was doing some training this morning.” Kirishima said, his lip tipping up in a grin. “That’s why we didn’t get the usual explosions at breakfast.”
She nodded, bumping his shoulder. “That’s a good point.” Looking around at the class lounging in the sun. “What about Midoriya? Something’s happened and nobody is saying anything.” She pulled her knees up to her chest.
“He probably went too far in training again. He’ll come down when he’s ready. They made sure he’s got food so we don’t really have to worry about that.” Kaminari cut in, throwing his arm around Kirishima’s left shoulder.
“I guess.” She sighed, “I’m still worried though.”
“Worried about what, Mina?” Ochako asked, leaning over to look Mina in the eye. “About Deku and Bakugou? They’re not around each other so they’re safe from anything happening now.”
Mina nodded. “That’s a fair point. I think I’m worrying for nothing.” She smiled and stood up, pulling the boys up with her. “Let’s go explore a little bit. Maybe find something to take as a souvenir home.” They all laughed as they wandered around the yard.
“I wonder what those big hoops over there are for.” Kirishima pointed across the lawn. “They’re too high to be useful for anyone.”
“Oh those are Quidditch Hoops.” Draco said, his voice smug as they came up to the group. “It’s a sport played on brooms.”
“Wait,” Kaminari said, pointing at the hoops again. “Those are for a game? That’s played on brooms?”
Harry laughed and nodded. “It’s a Wizarding sport. We can show you tomorrow when the rest of our guests get here. Or we can do a small demonstration of a specific position.” Smirking over at Draco, “Assuming you want to lose yet again.”
The blonde scowled at the teen, “Don’t even go there Scarhead. You ‘re just lucky with the broom you have.” Pursing his lips, he said. “But we haven’t been up in a while so why not put on a bit of a show?”
Harry grinned and nodded enthusiastically. Grabbing onto Kirishima and Mina’s hands he started dragging them toward the hoops. “Go get one of the adults, Draco!” Harry hollered back. “I’m not entirely keen on getting literally grounded. I’ll make sure to grab the brooms.”
Draco rolled his eyes and made his way into the kitchen to track down one of the wizarding adults. He just got to the door when it opened to show Severus and Remus. “Oh good, I don’t have to do too much tracking down.” He said. “Harry and I are actually following orders, so we need one of you three to come supervise a quick Seeker’s game.”
Remus snorted, “Let me guess, Harry wants to show off?” He shook his head at the emphatic nod from Draco. “Alright, I’ll meet you out there in five minutes.” Severus and Remus chuckled as the door slammed shut.
Five minutes later they found the teens waiting for Remus in excitement. Harry and Draco were standing in front of the group with their brooms on their shoulders. Remus was surprised to see that Harry hadn’t pulled out the Firebolt for this game. Instead he saw that both boys had the newest Nimbus brooms to even out the odds.
“Alright boys, you have enough time for 3 rounds.” Remus instructed. “Severus and I need to get the rooms for the others set up.” The two men conjured chairs for everyone while the two boys hopped on their brooms to set up their game.
Severus walked over to stand between the boys, “You will allow a 10 second count before kicking off. This had better be fair or there will be consequences.” He drawled, causing a shiver to go down Harry and Draco’s spines. They nodded quickly and once the Snitch had been released, they were off to the chase.
The teens watched as the boys wove around at incredible speeds on their brooms. They cheered at the end when Harry was declared the ultimate winner. The lunch bell rang and they all made their way back to the kitchen to find a feast in front of them.
Severus put his hand on Draco’s shoulder to stop him from going inside. “We need to make arrangements for a few things before tomorrow. Meet me in the library after lunch.” He made his way into the kitchen without further elaboration.
Lunch was loud with the conversations and laughter. It didn’t take long before Severus and Draco were seated in the Library.
“Alright, Uncle Sev. What’s changing?” Draco asked, crossing his legs in front of him. “And how much groveling am I going to have to do to make Harry agree?”
Severus snorted and rolled his eyes. “He already knew that this was a possibility. The Weasley’s and Granger are going to be coming tomorrow and since they don’t know about you two, we need to stay at Spinner’s End for the rest of the summer.” He grimaced, “It’ll be the same with me and Remus. They either don’t know or are too arrogant to see what’s in front of them.”
“Are we still going to be able to train with everyone before school? And how does this affect the new arrivals?” Draco asked, his eyebrow cocked.
“Training will be a little more tricky to handle, but doable.” Severus stated. “As for the arrivals, there’s no way to hide them. So they’ll be introduced to the group and inevitably to Dumbldore.”
Draco nodded with a grimace on his face. “Understood. When do we need to leave?”
“We have until 9pm.” The reply came quickly. “So go spend the time you want with Harry. We also need to discuss some other information about Midoriya that absolutely cannot be overheard by the other teens in the kitchen.” The raven haired man waited for the blonde to nod before dismissing him. He sighed as the door closed and immediately began writing out instructions for the potions that Midoriya would need for the next three weeks.
Hagakure, having noticed something off earlier had followed the two into the library, was trying to piece together what the older man could have meant before Draco had left the room. She was silent as she looked over the shoulder of Severus Snape to see a list of what looked to be medicines and what they did specifically catered to Midoriya. She bit her lip as she slowly backed up toward the door. Stopping quickly when a floorboard creaked under her feet. She held her breath when the man’s head whipped up. When he went back to the list he had been writing, she made her way slowly to the door and crept out onto the stairway. Unsure of what she needed to do next, she made her way back to where Mina and Kirishima were sitting in the kitchen.
When she entered the room, she made a beeline toward the chair between Mina and Ochako. Tapping Mina on the shoulder rapidly to get her attention she whispered, “Something is wrong with Midoriya. They’re making him take something called a potion every day for the next three weeks at least.”
Mina tensed, cutting off her conversation with Kirishima to face Hagakure. “What do you mean?” She brought her hand to squeeze Hagakure’s hand where it sat on her shoulder. “And what do we need to do?” She leaned her head into Hagakure’s shoulder as they began whispering to each other about what could be happening to their friend.

Chapter Text
“Shouta,” Sirius says his voice low, his eyes watching as the man paces back and forth. “He’s going to be okay. It was too well hidden and he never showed any signs.”
The man gripped his hair with both hands as he snarled, “I should have seen the fucking signs! I’m supposed to be observant but I missed this!” He clenched his jaw as he threw himself into the empty space beside Sirius. “I’ve failed this kid so many fucking times now, how the fuck is he still alive!? How did Severus notice this when I didn’t?” He dropped his head onto his knees with his hands still gripping his hair.
“Shouta,” Sirius said as he gently untangled the grip Aizawa had on his hair. “Severus is scarily observant. He also has some personal experience with looking for and hiding this type of thing. At least, most of it. I don’t think he had an inkling of the rape happening.” He twined their fingers together. “You have not failed him. You were working on incomplete information and what you could discern. He had never given any sort of indication that anything was wrong. He has probably never thought to ask for help from you because nobody has ever helped him before.”
Aizawa shook his head, “You’re right. Now it’s just a matter of keeping him safe and getting him stronger.” His expression darkened. “You mentioned more people joining us. How do we handle the inevitable blowback?”
Sirius leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes, “The twin terrors, Fred and George are solid kids. They’re pranksters but they don’t take things too far. I trust them with Harry and Draco’s lives. Same with their little sister Ginny. They’re going to be joined by their mother, Molly, Hermione Granger and their baby brother Ron. Molly and Ron are the worst. They may make some inappropriate comments about your kids.” He sighed, and crossed his legs. “Hermione is difficult, she’s got a good heart but she has a bossy streak a mile wide. I think with time we can trust her, she is going to ask a million questions though. Brace everyone for that.” His lips tipped into a quick smirk as he threw his arm around Aizawa’s shoulders.
Aizawa shrugged Sirius’s arm off his shoulders, not wanting to get too comfortable. “How much trouble are the troublemakers? I don’t need any more stupidity.” He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “And do they listen when they need to?”
Sirius hid the slight frown on his face while dropping his arm. “They listen as well as any 17 year old. But they know when and where to keep any sort of stupidity contained. They’re good kids and they don’t let people get fucked with.” He snorted, “They also listen when Harry is talking. He can help keep them in line if needed.”
They both listened to the sound of the kids rising up from the yard below them and enjoyed the sun on their faces. The two were about to get up when they were joined by Severus, who sighed and sank into a chair. They all sat quietly for a few minutes before Aizawa got up and moved to sit next to Severus.
“What happened?” He asked, his voice gruff.
“One of your kids may have snooped while I was writing out instructions for Midoriya’s potions. But I’m not sure. I didn’t see anyone.” Severus groaned. “Keep an eye out just in case. And we should tell those two in order for them to be prepared.”
Sirius and Aizawa nod, breathing deeply. Sirius rises from his seat, stretching. He walks to the door calling over his shoulder, “I’ll go check on the boys while you two handle that mess.” The two men grimaced at the cackles following him, the door silencing the sound as it swung closed. They sat in silence for a few moments before following the man down the stairs, making their way to the kitchen. When they got to the door, they both took steadying breaths before opening into the room. The dull roar that they had heard immediately silenced as the inhabitants saw the door open.
“Mr. Aizawa!” Hollered Mina, as she made a beeline to stand in front of the man. “What is happening with Midoriya? Something is happening and we want to know how we can help!” She crossed her arms over her chest and started tapping her foot impatiently.
“Ashido,” Severus started, placing his hand on her shoulder to steer her away from her teacher. “We cannot say anything at this juncture. You will have to let him tell you himself. Just be there for him and help when he asks for it. Is that understood?” He glared at the students, making sure to maintain eye contact with each teenager in the room. He allowed his posture to relax minutely when they all nodded in acknowledgement. “Good. For now Midoriya is on bedrest to get some needed rest. Bakugou is with him to make sure he is taking it seriously. So do not bother them.”
“Mr. Snape?” came Hagakure’s voice from next to Kirishima. “Can we help with the list of medicines that you were writing out?” The students looked at the man expectantly, some going as far as tapping their feet while waiting for the answer.
Severus grimaced, pinching his nose. “Unless you can learn to create potions quickly, with the correct ingredients and temperatures. No.” He said, “I highly doubt you’d be able to get the ingredients grown quickly-”
“What are the chemical compounds of the ingredients, sir?” Momo interrupted. “I can try to create a way to grow what’s needed in a faster time frame than what you usually get.” She squared her shoulders, “We all have something that we can do to help. Just tell us what to do and how to do it. We can get it done.”
Severus looked at each student, making eye contact with each individually before looking to Aizawa. “Is what she says true?”
The man nodded and opened his mouth to respond when Remus’ voice broke the quiet from the table in the corner.
“She can make anything inorganic, Severus.” His eyes flashed gold, “Including any type of cauldron needed. And these kids could probably make the potions. We would just need to write out the instructions.”
“Shouto can keep the temperatures regulated with his dual Quirk. Each of these kids, except for one.” He pointedly looked at Kaminari, “would be perfect for making potions. And that’s not saying you couldn’t Kaminari, that’s more to the point of you literally being electric around explosives.”
The electric blonde nodded, “I understand. What can I do to help them?” His face grew determined. “I want to help any way that I can.”
The three men looked at each other contemplatively before Aizawa answered, “You’ll be in charge of keeping people on a time schedule.” He held his hand up before any protests could leave lips. “You’ll have help in that regard. It won’t be just you. There’s nothing to worry about. You can also help Bakugou with Izuku. Well, if he lets you help any.”
The boy snorted and nodded, “That may be the hardest part.” The other students nodded and laughed a little bit.
“We need to get some rooms ready for the guests that were expected. But we will start getting the stuff for the potions for Izuku.” Remus said, standing from his seat. “Momo, you and Severus will be in the Potions lab to get everything set up to his specifications.”
The girl and Severus nodded, “I’ll also need a few of the boys for the heavy lifting. You other kids can help them get the rooms ready.” The group scattered to their assignments.
