On a radiant day, the sunlight shines warmly through the lively green leafs of the trees, the glass reflecting the sunlight sweet shine as a intoxicating smell of lilies could've been smelled from afar, that scent was from no one other than the own faerie Queen, Saint Lily cookie, or White lily Cookie for intimate ones. She had been spending quite a long time with her beloved friend Pure Vanilla cookie, who insisted on working for the Moonflower Queen after successfully sealing the Beasts, the King was resting in a nearby infirmary after giving half of his life powder to White lily cookie to stop the Beasts cookies from escaping the witches seal from the Silver tree, although she spoke kindly with her friend she couldn't help but notice on how his eyes had gotten more lighter recently and how he often was having difficulties to wander without accidentally tripping on a small pebble or tree branch that he couldn't easily avoided and his eyesight was starting to worry her even more, she and the others knew Pure Vanilla didn't have the best eyesight ever since he was young but she didn't expect it to worsen even more after all they've went through. Looking outside the window seeing the beautiful landscape from the Faerie Kingdom she sighed and pondered thoughtfully, soon enough her gaze landed onto Pure Vanilla cookie who was on her side looking at her with his usual admiring look, a small smile appeared on her lips but soon enough she remembered something she wanted to personally talk to him, she put a hand onto Pure Vanilla cookie shoulder in a comforting manner until she started to spoke.
"My Sweet Friend, I've noticed you've been acting rather strange lately, always using your staff to look, yet not using your usual gentle eyes... Has your blindness worsened after all those years?" White lily cookie softly asked her friend as a silver butterfly carefully rested onto her delicate yet gloved fingers, worry was clear as day onto her beautiful Fandango colored eyes as her greenish wings fluttered worriedly, the beautiful eyes Pure vanilla cookie was starting to forget on how they actually looked like. Even in his sweetest dreams, his best friend, and first crush, for real, he was starting to forget on how White lily cookie looked like, the most he could make out was that beautiful, long, white hair of hers. But he couldn't make out her face, nor her eyes, the eyes he loved to look at even if he couldn't see it perfectly, fear striked his mind but he quickly shaked it away, brushing it off as if it was nothing. He sighed as a gentle smile had appeared onto his lips.
"My Dearest Queen, you shouldn't worry about it, my vision is fine as day, it won't get worse... I promise." Pure vanilla cookie told, dismissing the fact that his once bad vision, was actually starting to make him go blind, he wouldn't be helpful to his Queen if he went blind... No, no servant should be as useless and blind as he was, he should be better than that. No matter the amount of lies he told, Lily would soon notice his poor eyesight going to fully blind soon enough, at least, that's what he thought. But a certain Faerie noticed it first and quicker, no one other than the actual and only King of Faeries, Elder Faerie cookie. Pure vanilla cookie didn't want to admit it, but he was rather jealous of the King, even if his beloved Saint only had the Title of Queen by deserving such reverence by saving Beast Yeast from the Beasts unlike Elder Faerie, that cookie had always been the King of the Faeries ever since he knows by the fact he helped to seal the Beasts and kept them sealed in the Silver tree for a pretty long time in his whole life serving the witches and keeping his promise and not faltering. Footsteps were heard in the distance quickly arriving near them, the sound of a door opening and by the purpleish coloration of the figure behind both of them as they had turned themselves to see who it was Pure Vanilla cookie had assumed it was the King, Elder Faerie cookie.
"Forgive me for interrupting so abruptly, Moonflower Queen... but Pure Vanilla cookie, may I talk to you?" Elder Faerie apologized kindly but soon turned his head calmly to Pure Vanilla cookie with a expression the other couldn't recognize perfectly, the blurry vision was blinding him, almost everything, all he could notice was the concerned tone onto the King's voice, "Shall I leave your majesty?" The queen wondered freely, "Please, I'd be thankful, I need to talk with him privately." he explained getting the Queen by surprise at his own words but with a small nod of Pure vanilla cookie's own head when he looked at the Moonflower Queen she simply nodded in response leaving the two of them alone.
The sweet and lovely expression he had onto his face had quickly left once the Queen was absent only leaving a calm but indifferent smile onto the Servant's face, even with such Sour expression the King sighed softly and put a hand onto Vanilla's shoulder.
"Pure Vanilla cookie, why do you lie?" the King asked worriedly, Pure Vanilla cookie simply chuckled using a confused facade, "Your majesty Elder Faerie cookie, I simply do not know what you're talking about–" the servant inquired with a sweet yet confused voice but suddenly and quickly the King interrupted the servants words, "Pure Vanilla cookie. Do not lie, I know your vision isn't great, your eyes looking at the pretty nowhere of the Faerie Kingdom says it all." Elder Faerie told with a angrily concerned voice, he should let the Moonflower Queen know it and their Comrades but the way Pure Vanilla cookie acted with them as if everything was fine when it wasn't just simply ruined him, how could a Cookie like him be this... Selfless. Pure vanilla eyes lightly widened and he tried to look away from the King's face but all he could do was look to the side or at his hand that so gently squeezed his shoulder which such care, such gentleness of his reminded of his beloved Queen... He sighed with a calm face replacing the indifference with guilt.
"Your Majesty, I thank you for your concern, but I can't worry my friends like this, I can't be a dead weight to them." he explained sadly gently touching the King's hand and removing it off his shoulder, sorrow was in his charming heterochromatic eyes as he tried to find the King's face to understand his blurred expression, the eyes who only admired the Moonflower Queen and no other cookie. Pure vanilla was a cookie whom the King wouldn't be able to understand, even after having such beautiful two pair of wings and a creamy blond long hair, beautiful hydrangeas between his neck, those were enough to make him one of the most prettiest beings he had ever seen in his whole life, he knew that it'd be useless to love the Moonflower Queen, after all, she always would've chosen knowledge over small yet lightly significant things as love.
"Pure Vanilla, you're no dead weight, you're no servant, you're their beloved friend, you are their most beloved light to guide them through the darkest times on the earthbread... Please refrain yourself from saying such saddening words about yourself." the King said, that soft but gentle tone almost sounded as if he was begging for Pure Vanilla cookie to not say those words about himself like that, his beautiful pale yellow and faded blue eyes still being widened at the King's sweet words, his once cold eyes softened showing true warmth to the King instead of that saddening indifference, tears lightly formed in the corner of his eyes.
"My King, I must say, your words... They're quite comforting, I must thank you for such kindness, although I showed you only jealousy of my part I must forgive myself... Will you forgive me, Elder Faerie cookie?" he calmly wiped away his own tears having a sweet smile onto his lips, his cheeks having a pretty dark color resembling a adorable blush although of a unidentified feeling, Pure vanilla cookie was truly a precious diamond in the huge yet menacing earthbread. Having such gentle words reminding himself of the own Moonflower faerie Queen, a small but honest smile sprouted on his own lips.
"Of course I will, you're important to everyone, and even if we didn't meet each other for a long period of time... I must say I grew quite fond of you, the Moonflower Queen must really like having such a genius yet elegant cookie as yourself on her side." he accepted, adding more kind and innocent words to purify the once jealous and broken heart of a once young cookie, giving him a new reason to persist the darkness and have a reason to keep going on, by how the servant expression grew gentler and softer, he must've really done something to melt his beloved heart.
"Your words... It's been a rather long time since I've ever heard something like this... I must say I'm charmed by you yourself, your kindness reminds me of the Queen herself." he complimented kindly finally freeing the others hand, but instead of taking it back instantly, the King gently touched the others cheek for a few moments admiring the servant's beautiful face, such a delicate face he had, and those blushing cheeks of his with his docile eyes... But he must not focus on trivial things, he removed his hand and lightly covered his mouth with his other hand letting out a slight soft forced cough as the servant himself looked away.
"Forgive me for such sudden act, but I must go this instant, there's something I must do." the King told explaining himself and finally leaving the room where he caused such... Lovely tension, when he opened the door he saw the Moonflower Queen talking with a few guards there and he closed the door calmly, the Queen looked at the King with worry. "Your Majesty," she started " Did Pure Vanilla cookie do something wrong? Is everything alright? Can I help in someway?" she inquired worriedly getting closer to the King gently grabbing his hands with worry, he should tell her about the blindness of Pure Vanilla cookie, but he must not say it without his permission, he sighed and looked at the Queen with a comforting gaze.
"Everything is fine, Saint Lily cookie, I just needed to ask a few questions to your companion. I hope you didn't mind his slight absence in the meantime." he explained calmly reassuring the Queen's worry, a soft sigh left her lips and a small smile was there, it was obvious by how her glove looked that her own grip in her staff had been tightened a little demonstrating her anxious habits, despite acting more mature and conscient of her own actions she still has that little nervous side. "Oh my divine creators... Thank you." she thanked him going to the room Pure vanilla cookie was, of course she wouldn't let her companion behind, after all, she had always knew that Pure vanilla cookie loved her ever since they were only little cookies, and she couldn't let the reason of her will to help the cookie kind alone, after all, even the sweetest butterflies can get attracted to the most beautiful light at night.
