Chapter Text
Goodbyes were sad, everyone knows that
Especially the ones that are forever
Peter knew this, experienced it
With Ben
May
And now Peter two and three
They may have not know each other for a long time but they’ve grown really close
And now, as he’s standing in front of Dr Strange, soon after Beck revealed his identity to the entire word
He felt a goodbye creeping it’s way over
“There must be a way to fix this” Peter said
“I could cast a memory spell but I don't know if it’ll work” the wizard pondered
“What do you mean?”
“The universe is really unstable after the whole ‘multiple Peters and their villains’ thing, if I cast the it may not work properly and cause even more trouble”
“then what can you do?” MJ placed her hand on his shoulder
“There must be a way to fix this” Ned said, walking to Peters other side
Strange thought for a moment before looking at the spider teenager sadly
“Peter, i will have to transport you to a different universe”
Peter’s eyes went wide
“What? What do you mean?”
“I will have to send you to a universe, where Peter Parker does not exist, doing that will automatically erase memories of you from everyone that has ever known your name” Strange explained
“that means we’ll forget you” MJ said, her voice wobbly
“But I don't want to forget Peter, he’s my best friend” Ned protested, Strange looked at the boy with sympathy
“I don't want to either, Ned but it’s the only way” he said sadly
“Can I at least pack my things?” Peter asked, staring at his feet
“Sure, just don't take too long” Stephen smiled softly
Peter swung to his apartment, it was completely empty and quiet, too quiet for his liking
He rushed into his room and grabbed his school backpack that was by the door, dumped all the books that were inside onto his bed and started putting in some loose shirts he could find. (Remembering to take his “i survived my trip to nyc” shirt and his favorite NASA one)
Three in two hoodies, a bunch of pants, underwear and socks
His phone and charger were placed in there as well
He chucked his wallet in too previously taking the money from Mays box under her bed, he didn't know if the world he was going to used the same currency as this one but better safe than sorry
Peter rummaged through his desk for a moment before he found what he was looking for, an old picture from when he and Ned where both 6 years old, in the picture Peter was getting a piggyback ride from Ned, they were both laughing with faces smeared with ice cream they’ve eaten earlier
Peter remembers that day well, he doesn't know if Ned remembers it too but oh well
He soon won't remember for sure
He folded the picture and placed it on the inside pocket of the backpack
He went into the kitchen to take some good but stopped to look at the shopping list on the fridge
He and May were supposed to go grocery shopping after everything was over
Peter shook his head and opened the cabinets and grabbed some protein bars and took them to the room to chuck them into the backpack
He also took the chance of being in his apartment to change from his spider suit
He putted on a plain blue shirt, a gray hoodie over it, jeans and green sneakers
Then the nanobots all disappeared into his web shooters who were now disguised as bracelets
He came back to the statue of liberty with a full backpack on his back and tearfull eyes
“Peter” Ned walked up to him as he landed and took of the braided bracelet that he had on his wrist “here, for luck”
Peter took the bracelet and putted in on, right above his right web shooter
MJ then tackled him into a tight hug
Peter can feel her tears soak his shoulder
Ned joins in too, crushing his friend from the other side
“We’ll miss you dude” Ned choked out
“I’ll miss you too” Peter said
MJ pulls away and unclips her necklace, handing it to Peter
“Your Black Dahlia I gave you?”
“I want you to have it, Ned gave you his bracelet, I’m giving you the necklace”
Peter accepted the necklace and clipped it around his neck
“Peter please hurry up” the teens hear the wizard say and look at eachother with even more tears
MJ kissed the corner of his mouth for a final goodbye and Ned does their secret handshake with him
It was time to go
Peter gave his friends (one being his girlfriend) one last look before walking up to Doctor Strange
“Okay, i’m ready” he wiped the tears that were almost spilling and putted on a brave face. Strange noticed and placed his hand on his back in a comforting manner
“Hey, it's gonna be alright” he tries to sooth him “i’m sure it won't be that bad there, i’m certain you’ll meet a lot of nice people there”
Peter didn't say anything, just looked at him for a moment before hugging him
Strange flinched at the sudden contact but soon calmed down and hugged back
“It’s gonna be fine Peter, i promise” the teen letted go, looked at him and nodded
Stephen opened the portal, it was dark on the other side, or maybe it was just the way the portal looked? Peter didn't know
“Goodbye Peter” the sorcerer said
Peter took a shaky breath and stepper into the portal
Into his new life
Peter was falling, that one was sure
He was falling and felt like shit, clinging to his backpack for dear life
He landed on cold concrete with a loud thump, his cheek laying on the ground, turning red from the impact but healing soon after
Peter picked himself up and sat down on his knees
He felt, smaller for some reason, but that wasn't his main concern at the moment
It was the constant buzzing of his spidey sense
The place he ended up in clearly wasn't save at all
Stephen was a liar
Not safe
In the open
Find somewhere safe
What the hell?
Was that his spidey sense talking
That has never happened before
Or maybe he just lost his mind
LISTEN
Find somewhere safe
Now
Okay, okay he’ll go find a safe space. He’s tired of the constant buzzing in his head anyway
Dummy
Now that was unnecessary
But he’ll ignore it
Peter stood up on shaky legs, and dusted himself off
He adjusted the straps of his backpack that got too long for him and went on his way
ignoring the urge to get on the nearest wall and just scitter on it until he found what he was looking for
Peter kept himself to the alleyways, only going on the main sidewalk when the spider sense warned him of something up ahead
And as he was walking his stomach started rumbling
He was about to take out a protein bar from his backpack when he spotted a rat by a trash can
Food
Catch it
What? No! He wasn't gonna eat a rat
But maybe-
NO
He wasn't gonna do it
But
As he watched the rodent his mouth started to water, and before he knew it he pounced at the animal and sunk his, unusually long fang teeth, into its back
The rat letted out a loud squeak and went limp in his hands. Soon after Peter felt the rodents insides liquify
He used on of his fangs to connect the two holes in the rats back, creating a thin slit
Peter pressed his lips into the opening and slurped everything that was inside
After he was done he putted his fingers in the slit and pulled, exposing the rats bones exposed
He took some of the flesh that was on the pulled over flap and slowly separated the meat from the furred skin with his nails. He then placed the meat on his tongue and devoured it
Peter repeated the process a few more times untill all that was left was only skin and bones
Peter felt disgusted
But also sickenly satisfied with himself
Keep calm
Don't panic
Keep searching
Right, of course. He needs to find a place to say
Peter threw the rat remains onto the ground turned his eyes away from his doing
•••
After about an hour of searching he found an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city
Perfect place to stay
No people around
Spider sense was right
The warehouse was a perfect place to stay
Peter placed his hand on the door that opened on their own, he used this as a chance to slip in
When he was inside, Peter closed the door and looked around at his spacious new home
But something was missing
Peter looked at his web shooters and activated them, making them morph into their true shape
Peter got to work
The way his webs were placed could only be described as organized chaos
Webs sticking to every possible surface, creating an entire jungle gym for Peter to move around in
The teen effortlessly climbed his way onto the top of his web and grabbed some strands, connecting then with more fluid
He added some final touches and looked at his creation
A bed in the iconic spider web shape
Peter was proud of himself
The boy sat down on his “bed” and took off his backpack
He wanted to open it but decided against it
It can wait until tomorrow
He sticked the backpack on the two strands that connected in a V shape and laid down
The web was surprisingly comfortable
Comfortable to lay on
Didn't Peter 3 did something like that once
Peters yawned and decided that thinking can wait
He closed his eyes and drifted off to dreamless sleep
