Chapter 1: 1985
We open to a Danny Elfman soundtrack playing in the background of a WB logo in snow.
After it faded out, it opened to GothamCorp 1985.
A scientist named Victor Fries.
Attended a board meeting for his latest project of Immortality.
“Ladies and Gentlemen allow me to present to you my hopes for mankind’s path to Immortality.” Victor said.
He clicks on a remote showing a screen image of a cryogenic design.
“I will give you the AC 1000. A cryogenic suspension capsule that freezes age and anything terminal. Once put in you will be in hibernation remaining in current age and conditions frozen. And in enough we will live long enough to see centuries of time.” Victor explained.
Ferris Boyle nodded impressed.
“Impressive Victor. Most impressive. I’m one on Immortality but I don’t remember funding a project like this.” Boyle said.
“I…ordered funding for it.” Victor said.
“Without my authorization?” Boyle asked.
“Well you see, Mr. Boyle…” Victor said.
“I never made fundings on this cause I never authorized it! What are you cooking in your own Victor?” Boyle asked.
Victor tried to explain but Boyle kept interrupting him…
“Please Ferris if you would just…” Victor said.
“I don’t want excuses Fries! In fact I want this project terminated NOW!” Boyle said.
“Wait please Mr. Boyle you don’t understand.” Victor said.
“Oh I understand alright. You’re trying to bankrupt me! Well not in my company. You’re off this project Fries.” Boyle said.
“But sir…” Victor said.
“Out of the matter!” Boyle called.
It seemed hopeless for Victor but the look in his eyes was clear he wasn't gonna give up…
Later that Victor was forced to carry out his project in a lab outside of Gotham.
The equipment wasn’t easy to move or remain unnoticed but he was determined because this experiment wasn’t for fame or fortune.
His terminally sick wife: Nora was in the ice chamber being treated for her illness.
Victor worked tirelessly to save his wife from death no matter the cost.
As soon as he was able to counter a clean serum he stole from GothCorp he was able to use it to sensitize a counter agent. This serum was a project out of an old drug invented in the early 60’s a drug called…VENOM.
He managed to make a clean process with it for the first time in months Victor felt hope…
But suddenly he was startled by the door being barged open to Victor’s surprise it was Boyle and some hired hence men and he was angry.
“Ferris?” Victor asked.
“I know it. I been bankrupt for months and somehow I knew you were the Fox in my henhouse!” Boyle said angrily.
“You don’t understand Ferris. My wife is dying.” Victor said.
“So why not put her in a hospital?” Boyle asked.
“You think I didn’t try that?! They can’t help her. But I can. Please just give me more time!” Victor said.
“YOU’RE CRAZY! You put me under four million in death! All this equipment belongs to me! Not you! I could give a rat’s ass about your dying wife! I want ALL this back NOW!” Boyle called angrily.
Victor snapped hearing Boyle didn’t care about his wife’s life on the line he yelled in rage attacking Boyle but pushed him back in self defense but Victor landed in stacks of cooling units causing them to explode in cold gas.
Like cowards Boyle and his men ran out and Victor crawled as his suit began to mutate pure blue eyes bleeding red…
He leaned on the glass containing Nora sleeping inside trapped in time…
“NOOOOOOOORAAAAAAA!” Victor called his wife…
