Chapter Text
There were things that Goki couldn't explain, like for instance her home life. She was slightly above average in terms of her life. She grew up with her Grandmother Ruta who taught her how to protect herself. Until her eventual death to a Heart Attack. She was given to the Briefs Family where she met a girl named Bulma and her boyfriend Yamcha, as if things couldn't get weird there was a little girl she met named Chi Chi who found interest in her.
She began to form a deep connection with her and then it escalated. Being best friends with a Girl changed everything and she ended up hanging out with her and making a promise to her.
"You promise you'll be my girlfriend?" Chi Chi asked.
"Of course." Goki said, thinking it was some sort of food.
"Goki! COME ON! If I leave you at the CUTOFF THEN DON'T GET MAD AT ME FOR LEAVING YOU BEHIND!" Bulma yells.
"Coming! Bye Chi Chi." Goki ran off to Bulma. and sat in the car.
"Gosh. is that your girlfriend? I didn't think you were that type." Bulma comments.
"No, she's my best friend." Goki said.
"Doesn't seem like that." Bulma said.
"Where is Yamcha?" Goki asked.
"He and I broke up so it's just me and you. Girl's trip." Bulma said. Goki looked down.
"Okay." Goki said.
"Look... I know you care about him. But us girls have to stick together." She grips on the steering wheel. "But. I promise you, things will end up fine."
Bulma didn't want to tell her that she cheated. She felt ashamed. But she drove off to their destination as Goki watched out the window. She looked hopeful and smiled.
"I'm sorry."
As they traversed through the adventure, Bulma felt close to Goki and considered her a friend. Or something like that. Watching her have fun in the river and have fun with the Cherry Blossoms made her gush.
Goki was a mystery. Even when her father brought her back home. She couldn't understand what made her so unique. She was pretty set for life with a family as rich as hers and she found having a "younger sister" of sorts thrilling.
Grandma Yuta was a very nice woman from what her mother described. Currently Bulma was watching Goki wash her hair in the river. She was naked, but nothing she hasn't seen before. The child was very much washing her hair.
Something that Bulma didn't understand was that Goki's hair was never able to remain short. It would just go back to the wild hairstyle and stay there. Bulma placed her legs to her chest.
"Bulma!" Yamcha shouts.
Bulma directed her attention towards the sound. It was Yamcha. She sighs and groans.
"Why haven't you notified me of you two going on a trip together?!" Yamcha said, making a scene. Bulma tried to shush him because Goki is nearby.
"Look, I just want girls time alone with Goki. Is that too much to ask?" Bulma asked standing up.
"She's my friend too!" Yamcha said.
"Hell no! I introduced her to you so if anything she's MY friend. I don't want you anywhere near her!" Bulma shouted.
"You're not her mother! You can't forbid me to see her!" Yamcha said.
"But you're forgetting that me and her live together NOW fuck off!" Bulma said. Yamcha's fists clenched. He storms off.
Bulma sighs as Goki comes back. "Bulma! I caught a fish!'"
"That's nice." Bulma said.
"What's wrong?" Goki asked, dropping the fish.
"Look. I want you to promise me something." Bulma said.
"Hm?" Goki asked.
"Don't go anywhere near, Yamcha." Bulma said.
"Why?" Goki asked.
"It's for your own good." Bulma said.
Goki went silent. "Okay..."
Things have changed over the years. Goki kept her promise, and as she turned into a teen she ended up breaking Bulma's promise because she came across Yamcha one day.
"Goki, is that you?" Yamcha ran up to her with shock in his eyes.
"Yamcha?" Goki was pretty shocked.
"Yes. It's me." Yamcha said. Goki didn't know what to say to him as it's been years since she's seen him. But she agreed to sit down next to him.
"So, what... Has it changed?" Yamcha asked.
"I'm going to participate in the National Tournament." Goki said Yamcha was interested.
"I see. Hey, you want to hang out like old times?" Yamcha asked.
"..." She looked down.
"Sure of course." She agreed.
