Chapter Text

Regulus black:

Regulus was used to getting unknown calls for odd jobs here and there so when he agreed to meet with this man he figured that was all it would be just some house robbery but he was wrong because what this guy is asking for is way more than the usual house robbery.

“You want me to rob a series of very high security museums?” Regulus asks, feeling confused.

“Yes well not alone but I figured I'd let you pick your own team for it” The old man- Dumbledore said back to him.

“Why? in general and why me?” Regulus asked the man leaning back in the chair of the man's office.

“Well back in my day I was one of the best when it came to heists and as you can see my years are getting away from me and I want one last big blow before I leave this world, I also would like you to retrieve a painting that was painted by an old friend of mine, as for why you I've heard whispers about you they say your good and that you never get caught even when the people are still in their houses I need someone like that to run this heist” Dumbledore says back sincerely and Regulus considers it for a minute there's a high likelihood he could end up in federal prison after this but hell what does he have to lose.

“How much?” Regulus asks the old man.

“50 million, to be split evenly between you and the team of course” Dumbledore says back and Regulus's mouth hangs open for a minute before he composes himself 50 million is life changing money.

“I'm in” Regulus says back simply.

“Great, so as for your team you can choose whoever you want but you'll need two guards to handle everyone who tries to get in the way of the heist, three people to actually conduct the heist, two artist for counterfeits, two tech people for the alarms and surveillance, someone to scale the buildings inside and out so someone charming unexpected and good at climbing this person will also do the actual heist and show you were everything is and this is the most important part you need to be able to trust these people most of them at least because if they start turning on you that won't end good and you'll be traveling around a lot so make sure you tell the team that” The old man says again and Regulus takes notes of the positions he needs to fill so he doesn't forget.

“Alright got it” He says looking back up to Dumbledore.

“Alright well it's a pleasure doing business with you Mr Black reach out after you've chosen your team and I'll send you the arrangements I have made for you” Dumbledore says putting his hand out for Regulus to shake which he does before walking out of the man's office and out to his car.

The drive home is around thirty minutes but he stopped to get tacos on the way home because god his stomach was growling.

“Sirius” He calls for his brother as he walks in the house.

“Regulus you saint” Sirius says as he walks in the room and sees the bag with the tacos in them which of course Sirius immediately rushes towards and shoves a taco in his mouth.

“So how would you feel about doing a few Art heist for 50 mil split ten ways so 5 million dollars all for you?” Regulus asks nonchalantly causing his brother to almost choke on the taco he has in his mouth.

“What?” Sirius asks.

“The job offer I just got was to run an art heist for this guy. I get to pick the team. It's ten people I have to pick. I want you to be one of us stealing the art” Regulus says looking at his brother with a serious expression.

“Oh you're being serious” Sirius says back.

“No your Sirius” Regulus said back with a deadpan.

“Oh shush you, don't steal my jokes, but 5 mil you said?” Sirius said back with a glimmer in his eyes that Regulus could tell meant he was in.

“Yep 5 mil for you 50 total” Regulus re explained taking a sip out of his drink.

“Oh I'm so in” Sirius said with a huge smirk on his face.

“Good” Regulus said back almost matching his smile.

They continue eating their dinner Sirius just chatting away about whatever comes to his mind which sometimes annoys Regulus but other times it's soothing that knowing no matter where he goes as long as Sirius is with him he'll never be alone and Sirius's constant talking was simply a reminder of that fact.

The next morning Regulus wakes up bright and early to go talk to the first on his list for Security. He wanted someone good who had no moral qualm in doing whatever it took to make sure a job got done and there was one person for that, the mad man himself.

“Oi Crouch” Regulus says as he walks down the alleyway Barty Crouch usually hangs out in during the mornings.

“What's it to you?” Barty asked back with one hand holding his cigarette to his mouth and the other touching where his gun was in its holster.

“I've got a Job for you” Regulus said back, coming closer to him and leaning up against the wall across from him.

“What job?” Crouch asked not moving his hand away from the gun but calming down slightly.

“A couple art heists you'd be running security you know taking out any threats to the operation there's 5 mil in it just for you” Regulus said calmly leaning back against the wall he'd prefer it if Crouch said yes but if he didn't there were others.

“Did you say 5 mil? Yeah I'm in” Barty said back with his crazy smile Regulus had only heard stories about.

“Alright there's travel involved so tell your usual bosses you'll be away for a bit” Regulus said back and Barty nodded.

“And give me your number so I can be in touch with further plans” Regulus continued and Barty obliged by taking Regulus's phone and putting his number in and handing it back then Regulus walked away two down seven to go.

Next on the list was another guard and Regulus needed this person to be a tad bit more sane than Barty to keep him in check but still sane enough to pull it off so that's how he found himself walking into the lion's den bar on a mission for two people actually because he was sure the other person for the heist would be here because he was always here.

“Marlene” Regulus said, trying to sound friendly because he actually knew her, she is friends with Sirius.

“Baby black long time no see what can I get you to drink” Marlene said back with a smile on her face. She always had this bartending job on the side of her actual work though Regulus could never understand why but he guessed it was because it was crawling with people in their line of work so good for intel.

“No drink I actually have a job for you” Regulus said back.

“Oh really do you well what is it” Marlene said still smirking at him.

“A couple art heists you'd be for security making sure no one gets in the way of the operation, it's 5 mil per person involved and there's travel so let your bosses know” Regulus said back voice barely above a whisper and leaned in he didn't want anyone else to hear.

“I'm in” Marlene said back.

“Alright I'll be in touch with details, is Potter around?” Regulus asked not bothering to look around.

“Yeah he's over there, you bringing him in on this?” Marlene asked as she wiped her mixer cup off.

“Yeah” Regulus said before walking off to the empty table James was sitting at and taking a seat.

“Regulus to what do I owe the pleasure” James says back with a sweet smile. Regulus has met James a few times before and each time he wonders how in the hell a guy like that got involved in the shit they do but it doesn't matter because what matters is that he's good.

“James, I have a job for you” Regulus says back.

“Yeah?” James says softly, sipping his drink, a club soda.

“A few Art heists you'd be a part of the team stealing the art, it's 5 mil per person”Regulus explained in a low voice looking around to make sure no one was paying attention to them.

“Yeah I'm in 5 mil is great” James says smiling so widely Regulus doesn't understand how he doesn't hurt himself when he does that.

“Alright give me your number” Regulus says back because he isn't really asking.

“Ooo, do you have a thing for me Reg?” James asks winking at him at the end and god Regulus almost wants to take the whole conversation back.

“No and don't call me that, If you don't give me your number then you're out” Regulus says back with a look of mild disgust and disinterest on his face.

“Alright,Alright here I was just messing with you” James said putting his number in Regulus's phone and after he gave it back Regulus borderline sprinted out of that conversation.

“Pleasure doing business with you Reg” James called back after him and god if James was any less talented than he was he'd strangle him but unfortunately that was not the reality of the situation so he just left.

Next was the artists which surprisingly there weren't a lot of skilled artists in this line of work but there were two that he could think of: Lily Evans and Pandora Rosier, first was Lily.

He arrived at the small studio and headed in trying to find the door with the right name on it then he found it.

“Lily” He said as he walked through the already opened door and the girl looked up at him.

“Yes, what do you need?” Lily asked softly as she continued to paint on the canvas in front of her.

“I have a job offer for you” Regulus said back trying to make his tone of voice show he wasn't going to be asking her to paint his portrait.

Lily fully turned her chair around and stopped painting then getting the hint she gave him a ‘well go on then’ look.

“A few Art heists you won't be going in just need you to travel with us and make replicas” Regulus said back leaning against the wall where no paintings were hanging.

“How much do I get?” Lily asks back raising her eyebrow at him.

“5 mil” Regulus replied back smirking.

“I'm in” Lily said back with a small smile on her face.

“Alright give me your number” Regulus said back and Lily obliged by putting her number in Regulus's phone easily ‘yeah look James it's that bloody easy’ Regulus thought bitterly but turned the thought off almost immediately.

“Pleasure doing business with you” Regulus said back as he walked out the door and back into his car.

Once he got in his car he dialed a number on his phone.

“Hello Pandora It's Regulus Black” He said into the phone as he drove away from the art studio.

“Oh hi what's the job” Pandora said softly already knowing it was for a job Regulus had heard she had a way of just knowing things before anyone told her it's impressive and useful.

“Don't want to tell you over the phone are you and Evan home?” He asked back though he was already driving to the house.

“Yeah we are home” Pandora said back into the phone simply.

“Alright I'm on my way” Regulus said back before hanging up the phone not really caring much for her response.

He arrives at the Rosier house shortly and knocks on the door.

“Hello Regulus” Pandora said, opening the door and he could already see that Evan was laying on the couch with his gun on his chest.

“Hello” He greets back before he goes to sit on the couch opposite Evan while Pandora sits next to her brother pushing his legs slightly out of the way.

“So me and you can skip the pleasantries I don't care how you've been or who you've robbed lately what's the job” Evan said back from the couch and honestly that was understandable he hated small talk as well.

“A few art Heists I need Pandora to help with replicas of the paintings and Evan I need you to scale the place inside and out you'll be inside during the heists showing us everything and helping us steal the art as well” Regulus explained a little uncomfortably because Evan was playing with his gun the whole time.

“What's the pay?” Evan asked, barely looking up at Regulus.

“5 mil each” Regulus said back and the twins shared a look.

“We're in” They both say at the same time.

“Good there's travel involved so let your bosses know you're busy” Regulus said back and honestly he was getting a little tired of saying the same thing over and over again but only two more times and he was done.

“Alright” They both say simply before Pandora shows him out.

Last on his list are two people for tech and surveillance and of course there were the two best in the business Remus Lupin and Dorcas Meadowes. The thing about tech people is that they are always so hard to find, so when he sees a familiar scarred face in a café he practically runs towards him.

“Lupin” he says as he sits across from the man.

“Yep that's my name” Remus says back, not bothering to look up from his computer.

“I got a Job for you” Regulus said back feeling repetitive as hell at this point.

“Do you?” Remus asked, still not looking up from what he's doing.

“Yeah a few Art heists I need you on surveillance like hacking into cameras and security” Regulus explained.

“Hmm how much?” Remus asked, actually looking up at him now.

“5 mil” Regulus said back.

“Okay I'm in” Remus said looking back at his computer.

“I need a way to contact you and a favor” Regulus said back.

Remus wrote a number down on a napkin and slid it over to him then looked up again.

“What favor?” Remus asked simply.

“Do you know how to find Dorcas Meadowes?” Regulus asked.

“She hangs out at the serpent's rose” Remus said back simply.

“Thank you” Regulus said back before picking up the napkin and turning to leave.

Regulus arrived at the serpents rose about an hour later he was now back by his house though which was convenient.

He walked into the small pub and immediately spotted her while she was at the bar chatting with the bartender Nott about something.

“Dorcas” He said as he took the barstool next to her.

“What do you want?” The woman asked coldly.

“I've got a job for you, let's talk outside” Regulus said before standing up and looking back to make sure the girl was following him.

They got outside and Regulus leaned up against the building while she stood across from him.

“What kind of job?” Dorcas asked with less of an icy demeanor though she was still a bit cold.

“A couple art heists. I need you to help hack the cameras and disable alarms. You know all the tech stuff” Regulus explained while tapping on the wall.

“What's the pay?” Dorcas asked back.

“5 mil” Regulus said back.

“I'm in” Dorcas said.

“Good, I'll need your number” Regulus said, holding out his phone for her to put it in, which she did.

“Alright I'll reach out soon with the info” he said before walking away and getting in his car Dialing the old man's number.

“I've got my team, what's the next step?” Regulus said speaking into the phone feeling almost excited which was a rare emotion for him so he could tell this one was going to be interesting.

Chapter Text

Sirius Black:

Regulus finally returned from his long day out of the house announcing he got the team together and that they would be leaving first thing in the morning on a private plane Dumbledore had arranged for them. Sirius was honestly excited about the heist. It was something new and he'd get to meet new people which was something Sirius always enjoyed. He loved talking to anyone he possibly could. Most people found that to be annoying but Sirius didn't care because that was just who he is.

“Reggie, are you as excited as I am?” Sirius asked curling up next to his brother on the couch already feeling tired.

“That would be impossible Sirius but yes I'm excited” Regulus said back rolling his eyes at the first part as he always did with Sirius but he saw right through it he knew his brother found his constant talking endearing even though he usually said very few words himself.

“I'm glad you're excited Reg” Sirius said softly.

“Me too, now go to your room you don't need to sleep on the couch” Regulus said sounding more like a parent than a younger brother which was common he was always so grown up never really a kid that was something Sirius full heartedly blamed his parents for.

“Fine fine i'll go goodnight Reggie” Sirius said getting up from the couch.

“Goodnight Sirius I love you” Regulus said looking up at him briefly before turning back to his book.

“I love you too” Sirius said back smiling before walking into his room and crawling into his bed.

The next morning Sirius awoke to his brother shaking him awake.

“Reg” Sirius said in his sleepy voice, feeling the need for water or an energy drink.

“Get up you need to pack and shower then I'll take you for breakfast” Regulus said throwing the covers off of him which Sirius immediately wanted back because god it was freezing.

“Alright alright” Sirius said after a few moments of Regulus glaring at him.

“Good and hurry” Regulus said before walking out of the room.

Sirius rolled out of bed and found his nirvana sweatshirt and threw it on before walking into the kitchen and grabbing a bottle of water out of the fridge taking a couple sips before heading into the shower.

He showered quickly taking extra time on his hair because it was his favorite thing about himself and it needed to be cherished then headed to his room to pack he decided on a large suitcase and a duffle bag and put basically all of his possessions he may possibly need in them because Regulus had neglected to tell him how long they were going to be gone then walked into the living room with the things in hand.

“You ready?” Regulus asked from the couch.

“Ready as I'll ever be" Sirius said back.

“Good then let's go” Regulus said standing up and walking out the door of their apartment and as Sirius followed he blew a kiss to the apartment because if shit went sideways he may never see the inside of it again.

Once they get in the car Sirius's stomach growls loudly.

“So breakfast you said?” He asked looking up at Regulus with a small smile who just rolled his eyes and kept driving till they reached a small little café.

They sat at a table in the back and looked over the menu once deciding what he wanted to eat he told Regulus who went up to the counter to order their food. Then Sirius saw him the most beautiful man he's ever seen in his life and yes he knew he shouldn't really be flirting with someone before he leaves town for god knows how long but he couldn't help it this man was gorgeous.

“Hello” Sirius said walking up to the table the man was sitting at and throwing himself down in the chair across from him.

“Hi?” The guy said back but it seemed more like a question from the confused look on his face.

“I must say you are undeniably handsome” Sirius says back completely unashamed as he looks back and sees his brother walking towards him with an amused look on his face.

“I see you've met Remus” Regulus said with a smirk as he stands behind him.

“Wait huh like the Remus Lupin?” Sirius asks suddenly feeling embarrassed because he just hit on someone who he'll be spending god knows how long with.

“Yes the one and only and I'll assume your Sirius Black” Remus says back before looking at Regulus “You two look freakishly alike I thought you grew your hair out and got tattoos in the span of one day”.

“We get that a lot” Sirius said back laughing slightly even though he still felt embarrassed.

“I bet anyways I guess I'll be seeing you all again in like an hour” Remus said back.

“Yes you will” Sirius said winking before him and Regulus returned back to their own table because honestly if he already hit on the man why not just double down.

Him and Regulus ate quickly before heading back to the car and driving towards the hangar.

About thirty minutes into the car ride Regulus sighed loudly causing Sirius to look up at him from his phone and raise an eyebrow in question.

“I wanted to be the first one there and we are running behind” Regulus said adding another sigh which Sirius had to hold back a laugh at because Regulus always acted like he was the only dramatic one but Regulus was just as dramatic if not more.

“Reggie, we are 30 minutes away and it's only 7:15. We are going to be there twenty-five minutes early” Sirius explained.

“Yeah but what if someone is there before us and then I look unprofessional” Regulus said back continuing to pout.

“If someone beats us then they clearly don't value their sleep” Sirius said back rolling his eyes as Regulus did the same and continued to drive.

After that Sirius fell asleep and woke up to Regulus poking him and saying someone did in fact beat them there.

“Whoever beat us here is lame who shows up somewhere more than twenty-five minutes early” Sirius said groggily as he got out of the car.

“Well hello again to you too” Remus said back clearly over hearing Sirius's words which made him want to dig a hole and crawl into it and die.

“Ah sorry not you you're not lame” Sirius tried to explain while rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly but Remus just laughed which was against everything he had ever heard about Remus most people said he barely even spoke.

After that they fell into silence which Sirius dreaded he hated silence but thankfully it only lasted a few minutes before another car pulled up and a buff heavily tattooed man hopped out of it walking towards the group.

“Hello” The man greeted not seeming too overly friendly but also not the coldest person ever which was good.

“Hey” They all greeted back.

“Oh yeah I'm Barty” The guy said back after a moment and Sirius' mouth practically dropped open because that was ‘the madman Barty Crouch’ who would've thought.

“I'm Sirius Black" He said back still a bit stunned but he hoped he wasn't showing it.

“Remus Lupin” Remus said back sounding more distant than he had earlier which confused the bloody hell out of Sirius but he decided not to give it much thought as another car pulled up and an extremely familiar face jumped out.

“Marls!” He practically screamed- no definitely screamed as he ran towards her and gave her a huge hug Marlene was one of his only friends.

“Siri!” Marlene said, matching his enthusiasm.

They hugged for a while before pulling away and allowing Marlene to introduce herself to the group.

The next car came shortly after that and two semi familiar Blondes walked out of it.

“Hey” Evan and Pandora said as they walked towards the group.

“Hey Evan, Pandora” Sirius said back as Marlene,Barty and Remus introduced themselves to the twins. Sirius had only met them a handful of times and found both of them odd but in more of an intriguing way than a bad way.

Another car pulled up right after them and a tall dark-skinned girl walked out of it looking unhappy to be there though honestly she could just be tired it is 8 am.

“I'm Dorcas Meadowes” The girl said, skipping saying hi completely and everyone else went around introducing themselves to her.

Finally the last two cars pulled up at the same time and a red headed girl walked out of one and a tan man with messy curly hair and glasses walked out of the other.

“Hello I'm Lily Evans” The ginger said with a small smile.

“Hi I'm James” The man said with a huge smile on his face and Sirius could already tell they were going to get along great.

Everyone did their final rounds of introducing themselves before Regulus spoke.

“Everyone give me your phones” and everyone obliged looking half confused before Regulus put them in a bag and tossed them out into the field by the hangar.

“What the hell mate?” Barty asked, looking more annoyed than mad, which Sirius was thankful for based on the stories he's heard about what happens when Barty gets mad.

“No outside contact and those things can be easily traced” Regulus explained before getting into the plane.

Everyone followed him, some still looking annoyed and others understanding.

“Here's your new phones, you can only contact people in the group if i find out about any outside contact you will be handled accordingly” Regulus said, handing out burner phones to everyone in the group before they all took their seats, Sirius sitting at the front of the plane next to Regulus with Marlene and James in the seats across from them.

“So Regulus now that we're all here where the hell are we going?” Evan asked from the back of the plane next to his sister and Barty.

“Bordeaux” Regulus said back as the pilot pulled them out of the hangar and they took off towards Bordeaux.

Barty Crouch jr:

Towards the end of the plane ride Barty was feeling restless most people had fallen asleep already but Barty was wide awake he had always had trouble sleeping which was particularly annoying when you were on a flight with nothing to do so he pulled his vape out of his pocket and took a hit trying to not blow out too much smoke so the plane wouldn't get cloudy.

“Can I hit that?” Evan asked from the seats across from him and Barty wordlessly handed it to him because once they landed he could switch it out for his pack of cigarettes so why not put it to good use for now.

“Thanks” Evan said back to him and Barty just nodded before taking a good look at him he had piercing green eyes the kind Barty wasn't sure if he wanted to stare into all day like he was entranced or rip them out and put them on display.

The plane landed after that and Barty let out a sigh of relief because finally he could get up and move around. He hates sitting still.

Everyone woke up or got woken up and they all quickly gathered their stuff and headed off the plane.

Outside the plane there was a limo waiting for them and they all got in after throwing their stuff in the back and headed to wherever the hell they were going. Honestly Regulus was so vague about all of this he wasn't sure it was a ploy for them to all be murdered but he didn't think Regulus could take him so even if it was he wasn't worried about it.

They arrive at a large house that reminded him of the ones people he worked for live in except it was prettier, he had always wanted to live in a house like this as a kid he use to stare at houses like this and wonder what his life would be like if he lived in one instead of in a tiny run down looking house.

They all get out of the car and head into the large house and everyone looks at Regulus hoping he'll tell them what to do next.

“Okay first I'm going to run you guys through some stuff. For security Barty and Marlene will be working together, for the heist, Me,Sirius and James will be doing the actual stealing with help from Evan who will be scaling the buildings, Lily and Pandora will be making replicas, and Remus and Dorcas will be on tech. For the operations it's best you all trust each other and are at least friendly with one another I don't want this going sideways because two people can't fucking get along though if you prove yourself to be untrustworthy I won't hesitate to send Barty and Marlene to go put an end to that any means necessary and trust me they will not hesitate either. I will start filling you all in on this heist tomorrow and I will not tell you the locations of the future heists till we arrive in case one of you turns out to be a snitch. Unless I send you out you should not be leaving the house but if you really need something run it through me first and I'll let you know. Lastly, there's 10 rooms go pick one.” Regulus explains and everyone nods their head before they all run up the stairs borderline knocking into each other as they did so which pissed Barty off he didn't really value others personal space but he highly valued his own.

He picked a room on the top floor of the large house because it seemed like less of a disturbance than the lower floors would be after he threw his stuff down on the large soft bed he looked out of his room to see who would be sharing the floor with him he hoped it wasn't anyone fucking annoying because that would be unconvient.

He sees Evan in the room next to him when he walks out the door and Regulus in the corner room by the hall their two rooms are in and they both seem less loud and irritating than most people so he was completely fine with that then he walked through the living room area of that floor to the other hallway and saw Pandora and Remus which they both didn't speak much so he was completely fine with that.

“Pretty nice setup here right” A voice said from behind him scaring the shit out of him because he hadn't realized anyone was behind him.

“What the fuck Rosier?” Barty asked, sounding more startled than angry which was definitely a first for him.

“Sorry I thought you noticed I was there” Evan said back simply smirking a little bit.

“Don't smirk you creepy mother fucker, I don't think anyone notices you following them isn't that like the whole point” Barty says back sounding semi annoyed.

“Yeah I suppose so also I wasn't following you I wanted to say hi to my sister” Evan explained with an arrogant look to him that made Barty want to slam him against a fucking wall and watch the facade fall away but Evan wasn't a normal person he was fucking insane he'd probably find it amusing.

“Oh” Was all Barty said in response.

“Sorry though I didn't mean to freak you out or whatever” Evan said back coolly and that made Barty calm down slightly and Evan from what he had heard really didn't seem that bad so he decided to follow him into his sister's room.

“It's no problem” Barty said back and Pandora looked amused so she definitely overheard the conversation.

“Evan quit freaking people out. I have a good feeling about this job and I'd like to make friends” Pandora said, swatting at her brother who laughed and god the sound of that laugh was like a melody. It was soft and sweet, completely the opposite of the Evan he had heard about and just witnessed in the hall.

“Aw Pands but it's so fun” Evan fake pouted which made Barty laugh in turn.

“I'm imagining it with other people and yes it's definitely fun just don't do it to me again I'll kill you” Barty said laughing still during the first part before going serious on the last.

“I won't this time was really an accident though” Evan said back not seeming intimated in the slightest actually smirking still.

“You really are fucking nuts huh” Barty said back laughing.

“Likewise” Evan said back smiling a large smile and yeah Barty's made up his mind him and Evan Rosier are definitely going to be good friends.
