Chapter Text

1,000 years ago… on the planet Krypton 83 million light years from the planet Earth a creature from another universe stirs. Leif opens her eyes. It was pretty hard to breathe something about  the atmosphere of this world that felt toxic. As she coughs she hears the sound of an engine getting closer until she hears a loud thud. Two Kryptonian soldiers emerge from the ship and walk over to examine Leif. 

Roll-Jel: “What are we looking at?” 

Fitha Vir-Zan: “Beats me.” 

Roll-Jel: “ Looks like she’s holding something?” 

Fitha Vir-Zan (Grabs the box): “Looks like some kind of music box?” 

Roll-Jel: “Why in Rao's name would some alien have a music box?” 

Fitha Vir-Zan: “I have no idea?” 

Leif (Struggles and coughs): “Must warn…Your leaders.” 

Roll-Jel: “And she’s out of it.” 

Fitha Vir-Zan (Hands Leif a rebreather): “Our planet's atmosphere is not compatible with your biology, This should help.”  

Leif puts the rebreather on her head in which it readjusts its shape to fit Leif's head. Now that it was easier to breathe she looks up at the two figures they looked to be wearing a kind of armour with a long flowing cape on their backs, Their chest plates had some kind of symbol on them and they were wearing an alien looking helmet which covered their entire heads and obscuring their faces

Fitha Vir-Zan: "How are you feeling?" 

Leif: "Better." 

Roll-Jel: "Do you know where you are?" 

Leif: "No, But I need to warn your leaders! There is an attack coming!" 

Fitha Vir-Zan: "From where?" 

Leif: "I'll explain everything once I can speak to your leaders!" 

Roll-Jel: "Oh no! We are not just going to take you to the Council of Krypton! They would surely kick our sorry-" 

Fitha Vir-Zan: "Roll...Krypton could be under threat! We can't just sit around and just let this happen!" 

Roll-Jel: "Dude the last time we 'Warned the Council' We got demoted! Who knows what the council will do to us this time!?" 

Fitha Vir-Zan: "We have to try! And this alien and the box it came with is not in the Kryptonian archive!" 

Fitha Vir-Zan: "I think she is telling the truth and we need to hear her out." 

Roll-Jel (Sighs): "Fine, But this is a really bad idea." 

Fitha Vir-Zan helps Leif on board the Kryptonian ship as the flies off for the Council citadel

The ship docks on a landing bay and the Kryptonians along with Leif exit the ship. As Leif looked around the citadel she realized how alien it all looked, ruins in a language she couldn't translate and a material that looked metallic in quality but was clearly something else. The Kryptonians stopped at a door with regal patterns on it. 

Fitha Vir-Zan: "You're about to meet the Council of Krypton. It is best I inform you of the proper etiquette." 

Leif: "No need my best friend is a prince. I think I would know the proper etiquette when addressing leaders."  

Roll-Jel: "Oh we are so getting court martialed for this." 

Roll-Jel inserts some kind of object in a keyhole which causes a greyish metallic looking hologram to emerge from it. 

Roll-Jel: "High Councilmen I apologize for the interruption but a stranger has arrived with a warning." 

Gok-Dan: "This better not waste our time." 

The three of them enter the Citadel chamber and find the Council of Krypton staring them down 

Gok-Dan: "What is the meaning of this?" 

Roll-Jel: "Forgive us for disturbing you councilman but..." 

Gok-Dan: "Enough let us hear this so-called warning." 

Leif gets between the two soldiers and speaks to the council 

Leif: "My name is Leif and I am from the Newtopian empire." 

Gok-Dan: "Yan-El do we have any records of a 'Newtopian empire'?" 

Yan-El: "No, we have no record of this empire anywhere in the Kryptonian archive." 

Gok-Dan: "Why should we fear this empire, Alien?" 

Leif: "This empire has conquered countless worlds and I'm not referring to just one planet I'm talking about whole universes being conquered!" 

Tal-Zod: "If I may Councilmen Gok, The Kryptonian warrior guild is not ready for another war, We are worn out by Coluan and Apokaliptian forces we would be unable to fight against such a threat." 

Gok-Dan: "Then what do you propose we do?" 

Leif: "Well I'll go back to my world and leave the box here so you can destroy it! It's the only way to protect not just your world...But every world." 

Gok-Dan: "Very well we will consider your proposal." 

Leif: "Consider? No, you will destroy that box! I've seen what it can do! It will destroy everything and everyone here!" 

Gok-Dan: "I never said we wouldn't destroy it but our race collect knowledge from all kinds of different worlds and with this box we will learn about worlds from different universes." 

Leif: "Are you even listening to me!?" 

Yan-El: "Enough!" 

Yan-El (Turns to Gok-Dan): "The alien has made it clear of her desire to see the box destroyed but perhaps we could study the box and when we are done we send it away far from Krypton." 

Yan-El (Turns to Leif): "Is that a fair compromise?" 

Leif: "No but I know you will not listen to me otherwise."  

Leif opens the box and goes through the open portal. Yan-El picks up the box and walks off with it

Corvus Galaxy: Rao system: Planet Krypton: 1,000 years later: Earth year: 1991 

General Zod waits in his quarters until Lara Lor-Van wife of Zod's best friend Jor-El walks in

General Zod: "Lady Lara? What are you doing here?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "Did you not receive my transmission?" 

General Zod: "No, My communications are down. Is there something wrong?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "Jor-El has been monitoring the council's communications and they have been mining the planet's core more intensively." 

General Zod: "Meaning?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "We're running out of time, Just yesterday Krypton had months left now it only has a few days." 

General Zod: "Damnit." 

General Zod: "What about Jor-El? Did he get the codex?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "He is in the process of stealing it." 

General Zod: "You know...I was really looking forward to meeting him." 

General Zod: "Your son, Kal-El I mean." 

Lara Lor-Van: "I feel the same Zod." 

General Zod: "Since this is the end of the world I would like to make a request." 

Lara Lor-Van: "Sure, But I too have a request." 

General Zod: "We'll walk and talk." 

Lara Lor-Van begins to follow General Zod through his base. As she walks she finds various wounded soldiers being treated by their comrades or by hovering mechanical drones 

General Zod: "Our forces are being stretched thin and the loyalist forces are closing in, So we will attack the temple of wit and make our last stand here." 

Lara Lor-Van: "Wait!? You plan to steal the stone?" 

General Zod: "If we are going to build a new Krypton then we need that stone, It contains the collective intelligence of Krypton's greatest minds so it will be critical in rebuilding Krypton." 

General Zod: "So? What was that favour you wanted Lara?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "Jor-El and I were wondering if you wanted to be Kal-El's Godfather?" 

General Zod (Stunned and turns to look at Lara): "Really!?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "You're a good man Zod and I think you are someone Kal should aspire to be." 

General Zod: "I'm not a good man Lara, I've done things that are unforgivable." 

Lara Lor-Van: "You're not that same man anymore Zod you've changed." 

General Zod: "I didn't change, I'm simply reformed." 

General Zod arrives at his private bedroom door. The two enter Zod's room and Lara Lor-Van closes the door behind her. Lara watches as Zod walks to an obscured corner of his room and seems to grab something. Lara Lor-Van much to her surprise watches as General Zod holds a baby girl in his arms 

General Zod: "Lady Lara Lor-Van of the house of El, I want you to meet my daughter, Mara Tan-El." 

Lara Lor-Van (Reaches to softly rub the baby's cheek): "She's beautiful." 

Lara Lor-Van (Looks back up at General Zod): "Wait Mara Tan-El? Shouldn't her name be Mara Tan-Zod? And since when did you have time to go to a genesis chamber?" 

General Zod: "I didn't, You really thought I was just going to let you and Jor-El be the only ones with the honour of being the parents of Krypton's first natural birth did you? As I said to you earlier Lara I didn't change, I'm reformed." 

General Zod: "Don't worry Kal is older by a few weeks." 

General Zod: "But Mara isn't registered yet and...I want her to be a daughter of the house of El not of the house of Zod." 

Lara Lor-Van: "I don't understand she your daughter Zod she-" 

General Zod (Snaps): "She would be disgusted to be related to me." 

General Zod: "My apologies Lara, I didn't mean to snap at you like that."

Lara Lor-Van: "I understand, But why do you want to register her? The planet will be destroyed soon?" 

General Zod: "I don't want her to grow up knowing her father is a murderous, genocidal monster." 

Lara Lor-Van: "But she-" 

General Zod: "Do you remember when I asked for the prototype of Kal's ship?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "I do but I don't-" 

Lara Lor-Van (Realization): "You want to evacuate her?" 

General Zod: "That's correct, my ship forgers have made the needed modifications to make it in line with Kal-El's ship along with a few modifications of my own." 

Lara Lor-Van: "Zod I haven't found a planet yet so I have no idea where Kal or Mara would-" 

General Zod: "I have." 

The base alarm begins to blare as a alien looking robot emerges from the wall  

Kivel: "Sir, multiple attack cruisers have been detected en route. Fortress defenses are being scanned and readied for battle." 

General Zod (Turns to Lara): "I have to go...Thanks for giving me a second chance." 

Lara Lor-Van: "Don't thank me, Thank my husband it was his belief you could change and so far...You're proving him right."  

A large cruiser containing Zod and his elite military task force known as Black zero are flying towards the temple of wit 

General Zod: "Okay everyone here's the plan, Temple fortifications go through repairs every 48 hrs during these repairs we can sneak in unnoticed by the temples security systems but once we steal the stones all hell is gonna break loose." 

General Zod: "Faora, Nam you're with me, Ursa you sabotage the turrets to allow us escape." 

Ursa: "Yes sir General." 

Zod and Black zero enter the temple with guards already waiting for them which Black zero dispatches before they can react, Ursa runs to the turrets to deactivate them and the rest of black zero heading towards the central chamber. Faora-Ul would sneak up on two of the guards and easily dispatch them and Nam-Ek charged at some other guards and grabbed them and smashed them into the floor with brute strength.  

Faora-Ul: "We'll hold the line here General." 

General Zod: "Thank you commander." 

General Zod punches the lock of the door allowing him to open it and enter the central chamber. As he enters he finds a small but bright green gem in the middle of the chamber as he begins to walk towards the stone he feels somebody lunge at him with the two struggling for a moment until Zod manages to throw the attacker off of him, His attacker is Kara Zor-El the daughter of Admiral Zor-El of the Kryptonian warrior guild. 

Kara (Panting): "Zod! I am not letting you steal the stone." 

General Zod: "I know you will try, But you will fail." 

Kara charges at General Zod but Zod simply elbows her on the back of her head knocking her to the floor. Zod walks towards the glowing green gem. He slowly reaches out for the stone and it slowly descends into his hands. He looked at the stone for a moment even just looking at it made him feel uneasy as if the stone knew what was happening and allowed it to happen. Zod is startled from his thoughts when the temples alarm begins to blare and as he runs from the chamber he feels Kara grab his leg 

Kara Zor-El: "My father will stop you!" 

General Zod: "Ha your father? Your father is a dog, And dogs like him, Must be put down." 

Zod is able to kick away Karas grip and runs out of the chamber regrouping with Faora and Nam-Ek 

General Zod: "The stone has been secured and we are returning to base." 

Faora-Ul: "Yes, general." 

Nam-Ek simply grunts and nods, The three soldiers run out of the temple as fast as they can while exchanging fire with loyalist forces, as they board the ship and fly away they see various ships around them fighting each other with ships being destroyed all around them as they return to their base they are cornered by a massive Kryptonian dreadnought ship 

Ship Captain: "General Dru-Zod! Under the authority of Admiral Zor-El, Surrender the stone." 

A cannon from the base fires at the dreadnought causing it to crash into the ground allowing the ship to dock.

General Zod enters his quarters and places the stone on a cellular absorber and walks towards Mara picking her up 

General Zod: "Have you set the coordinates?" 

Kivel: "I have coordinates for the 3rd planet of the Sol system in the milky way galaxy have been locked." 

Kivel: "Forgive me for being suspect but I have scanned the native inhabitants. They are a primitive race who treat others who are different as freaks and....She will grow up an outcast, she will be alone." 

General Zod: "No, They will kneel before her." 

General Zod places Mara inside the ships cockpit 

General Zod: "Goodbye my daughter, Be a better person than I ever was."  

The pod door closes and the pod begins to rotate towards the roof. The absorber activates inside the pod with the stone dematerialising and being absorbed by Mara's cells

Kivel: "General Zod, I am setting the ship's course to the Sol system now." 

Zor-El , Kara and his forces bust into Zods private quarters 

Zor-El: "General Dru-Zod of the Insurgency of Yuda, For your crimes of murder , treason and stealing the stone of wit you are under arrest." 

Kara Zor-El (Confused): "Is that...a baby?" 

Zor-El (Horrified): "Zod...What have you done!?" 

General Zod: "I've had a child Zor, Krypton's first natural birth in 10,000 years and she will be free, To make her own path." 

Zor-El: "Heresy!" 

Zor-El: "Destroy it!" 

Two soldiers try to fire at the pod but General Zod fires his energy rifle at both of them killing them, Zor-El tries to grab the rifle from Zod's hand but Zod right hooks him, Kara lunges at Zod trying to restrain him but Zod simply tosses her to the wall, Zor-El now furious tackles Zod and punches him multiple times but Zod bites his hand causing Zor-El to lose his grip with Zod's mouth now being bloodied spits out a few teeth, Zod simply laughs. 

General Zod: "That has to be the hardest you've ever hit me, But I've been hit harder a lot harder."  

Zor-El charges once again but Zod simply punches him in the back of the head causing Zor-El to fall to the floor

Kivel: "General Zod the ship is now in position and is ready for launch." 

General Zod walks over to the console and gets ready to activate the launch but Zor-El tries to plead with him 

Zor-El: "Zod! The stone is Krypton's future! Abort the launch!" 

Zod coldly looks at Zor-El and press the launch button on his console and the ship activates and flies off 

Kivel: "Setting course for the Sol system."  

General Zod watches as the pod flies high in the sky, Zor-El manages to get up and slowly limps towards Zod, However much to General Zod's horror a blast from a Kryptonian cruiser and is seemingly destroyed right before it can warp away 

General Zod: "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!" 

General Zod activates his armour's wrist blade and stabs Zor-El seemingly killing him. Kara-Zor-El runs towards her fathers body  

Kara Zor-El (Crying): "You monster! You'll never change!" 

General Zod simply stands there seemingly dazed however soldiers from the warrior guild emerge and quickly arrest General Zod, General Zod does not resist 

General Zod sits chained in a prison cell with Lara Lor-Van entering his cell

Lara Lor-Van: "Zod, I had heard what happened, I'm so sorry about her." 

General Zod: "Don't be, There's a chance she could still be alive. But I'm still doubtful." 

Lara Lor-Van: "What makes you think that?" 

General Zod: "Self repairing nano-machines along with advanced life support systems." 

General Zod: "But that's irrelevant, What about Kal? Did he make it." 

Lara Lor-Van: "Thanks to the coordinates you sent, He did." 

General Zod: "Thank Rao!" 

Lara Lor-Van: "We launched someone else as well." 

General Zod: "Who?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "Kara Zor-El." 

General Zod: "You saved her? The daughter of that monster!?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "Kal is going to need a protector and Kara is the only member of the house of El who has experience with intergalactic travel, It has to be her." 

General Zod: "You have connections to the council, what is my sentence?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "You are to be sentenced to the phantom zone and Jor-El-"

Later during General Zod and Jor-Els trial 

Fonn-Ke: "You are to be sentenced to death." 

Voh-Dez: "Do either of you have any last words?" 

General Zod (Furious): "You won't kill me yourselves! But you'll damn me to a blackhole for an eternity!" 

General Zod: "Jor-El is right! You're all a pack of fools, every last one of you!" 

General Zod stomps towards an injured Zor-El 

General Zod: "And you! You think your daughter is safe!? I will find her! I will take from you what you have taken from me."

General Zod (Being pushed back to his previous position by guards): "I will find her Zor...I WILL FIND HER!" 

A large cannon is being moved by by a few guards and is fired at General Zod with his skin, muscles and bones being sucked in one by one by the canon with Zod waking up inside a large ship looking down at Krypton 

It has been a few days since General Zod along with the rest of black zero was banished to the phantom zone. General Zod watches as the planet below begins to become unstable 

Kivel: "General Zod? Shall I inform our forces to seek refuge?" 

General Zod: "There is no refuge Kivel. Jor-El was right. This is the end." 

General Zod: "Build a better world than ours Mara." 

General Zod watches tearfully as Krypton the world he swore to protect with his dying breath is destroyed being reduced to a destroyed rubble 

Corvus Galaxy: Minkar system: Earth year: 2005

The pod, while damaged, survived the blast although heavily damaged. The infant Mara is in Cryosleep while the nanomachines repaired the damage engines after decades of repairs the ships engines are finally repaired and the ship begins to slowly activate  

Ship AI: "Engine systems restored setting course for Sol system in the milky way galaxy." 

The ships phantom drive activates and warps to the sol system passing by Jupiter and passing Mars, before entering the Earth's atmosphere, A young boy watches a shooting star passes by his family's farm unaware the object was far from a shooting star 

Martha Kent: "CLARK! DINNER!" 

Clark Kent: "Coming!" 

The ship enters into Californian air space and crash lands in the backyard of a local family 

California, USA, Earth year: 2019

Marcy falls to the floor before a hand reach's out to help her 

Anne: "Need a hand?" 

Marcy: "Heh yah." 

Anne helps Marcy to her feet 

Sasha (leaning on a locker): "You know I don't get it, Mar-Mar you're like the biggest person I know but you still need us to help you." 

Anne: "SASHA!" 

Marcy: "No Sasha's right! I would be totally helpless." 

Anne (Forces Marcy to flex one of her arms): "You should probably add being totally ripped to the list too!" 

Marcy (Blushes and pulls Anne away): "Anne! Quit it!" 

Sasha: "No seriously Marcy it was literally only two years ago and you were like super short and with weak nerd arms and then after your thirteenth birthday, You all of a sudden got super tall and ripped." 

Marcy: "Well uh you see I uh!"  

The school bell rings signalling an end to the school day 

Marcy: "Oh! I gotta go and looking forward to your birthday tomorrow dude!" 

Marcy runs out of the school as fast as she can. The question of her sudden god-bod was always an uncomfortable one, simply because Marcy didn't know why she had this bod she just sort of woke up one morning and there it was. Marcy used her x-ray vision to see through the walls of the school to make sure her friends weren't following her, she didn't exactly want to be followed. Marcy never really knew how she got her powers or why she has them? Every time she brought up the question to her parents they would always shut her down. As Marcy arrived at her home she opened the door. Her parents were busy at work and she was all alone. Marcy couldn't get the thought of her powers out of her head. There could be a million explanations for why she has them? An undiscovered genetic mutation or disease? As she walked she felt like someone was whispering in her ear. It was super faint, Not even her super hearing could make it out but it was coming from the basement as it was slightly more clear from there. Marcy was hesitant her parents had strictly forbidden her from entering the basement. Marcy didn't know why they forbid her but at this point her curiosity had gotten the better of her 

Marcy: "Screw it!" 

Marcy at first tries to open it but realizes it's locked but then gets frustrated and with her super strength rips the door off its hinges and gently places it on the floor 

Marcy: "I'll fix it later." 

As Marcy enters the basement she turns on a small lamp and finds a large alien looking ball sitting in the middle of the room it looked like it had detached from a larger vessel, The craft itself wasn't very big and the cockpit could only fit a baby. Marcy was stunned an alien craft was in her basement and the thought immediately crept into Marcy's mind like a snake coiling around her brain. Did she come from that pod? It would've explained everything! Her parents' treatment of her, along with her feeling of not belonging but most of all! It explained her powers. Marcy began to breathe rapidly and curled up into a ball. She could feel her heat vision begin to charge, In an attempt to calm herself down she remove her glasses and puts her hands over her eyes and begins to quietly sing 

Marcy: "The great wide open greets me as I'm floating out the door. I know I can't go back to the place I was before. So I leave this world behind me and through the sky I fall. A home you can't return to, is not a home at all!" 

Marcy: "I will find a way through the black and grey. I know I can't stay here no more. Who I used to be, something I can't see. But I know I'll find somewhere, or somewhere will find me." 

Marcy could feel the heat from her eyes dissipate. She just barely stopped her heat vision and put back on her glasses but her mind was racing with a mix of hypothesis and emotions. Was she really an alien? Why is an alien pod in her basement? If her parents retrieved her from it then how did they get it inside? So many questions, No answers for any of them. Marcy notices a symbol on the ship, While it did look alien it was clearly an S it was small and barely noticeable but looked to be made of a different metal than the rest of the ship, Marcy approached the ship hesitantly, And hesitantly reaches out at the symbol which then pops out of the keyhole and launches itself into Marcy's hand. Marcy looks at the key for a moment but when she holds the key over the keyhole the key reinserts itself producing an alien hum. Marcy notices the key isn't inserted the whole way and she nervously pushes it. All of a sudden a blinding light begins to surround itself around Marcy and the ship teleporting the two to a new location 

Marcy opens her eyes. The sudden change in temperature surprised her but she didn't shiver, She had never felt cold at any point in her life. As she observes her surroundings she notices the advanced alien technology, While some of it is frozen most of it wasn't. As Marcy walked she realized somebody was keenly observing her. While the figure looked human she was wearing alien attire with that same alien looking S symbol on her chest 

Lara Lor-Van: "To see you there, As an adolescent, If only your father could have witnessed this."

Marcy: "Who the heck are you!?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "I am your mother Mara, At least what's left of her, Her memories if you will." 

Marcy (Confused): "Mara?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "The name Marcy Wu was given to you by your human parents, On our world we named you Mara Tan-El." 

Marcy: "Where do I come from? Why did you send me here?"  

A metallic looking hologram depicts a large planet with four moons with other holograms depicting Krypton's history

Lara Lor-Van: "You come from Krypton, A world with a similar, Yet harsher environment than Earth, One hundred million years ago our race spread across the stars seeking new worlds to settle and younger races to aid, We used great machines called world engines to terraform environments to our needs. For millions of years our civilization flourished, Accomplishing wonders." 

Marcy: "What happened?" 

Another set of holograms depicting two imposing aliens appear, One looked to be organic but had cybernetic components and the other looked to have gravelly like skin 

Lara Lor-Van: "Not everyone in the universe agreed with our vision of a universe ruled by Truth and Justice, The mad cybernetic Coluan Brainiac and the self proclaimed New God Darkseid declared war on Krypton. For centuries we fought them but it ended in mutual defeat and we were confined to Krypton. No longer being able to access our colonies caused us to run out of our natural resources and so artificial population control was established but by then it was too late. Our core had become unstable, your father and I foresaw the coming calamity and took steps to save you from our doomed world." 

Marcy follows Lara to a large tank containing multiple vines with strange orbs being attached to them 

Lara Lor-Van: "This is a genesis chamber, All Kryptonians were born from these machines, every one in our society was born for a specific purpose to be a soldier, a scholar and a leader and so on." 

Lara Lor-Van: "Your father and I believed Krypton had lost something special, the element of difference. What if a child aspired to break the mold of society, What if a child chose to be more than what a society had intended for him or her? What if a child aspired to be something greater?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "You and your brother are the embodiment of that belief Mara. Krypton's first natural births in century's. It's why we risked everything to save you." 

Marcy (Shocked): "MY WHAT!?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "Kal-El, Your brother." 

Marcy (Tearfully): "Why...Why didn't you come with me?" 

Lara Lor-Van: "We couldn't Mara, No matter how much we loved you, Your father and I were a product of the failures of our world, Tied to it's fate." 

Marcy (Tearfully): "Do you have any idea what it's like to be with these people!? They are unkind and cruel AND! They make me hide who I am and-." 

Lara Lor-Van: "-Yes I am aware that humans are flawed, But they can be great people Mara but only if you guide them, If you give them hope. The people of Earth are different from us but your father and I believe that's a good thing, They won't necessarily make the same mistakes we made. And I have hope they will become better, Because that's what this symbol means." 

Lara Lor-Van (Gestures at the symbol on her chest): "The symbol of the house of El means hope and we believe that every being in existence can be a fundamental force for good." 

A dark green suit with a silvery S being on it's chest and a bright green cape emerges from a wall

Lara Lor-Van: "That's what we can bring them Mara." 

Marcy emerges from the fortress now wearing her supersuit and is no longer wearing her glasses. As Marcy walks the disembodied voices of Lara and Marcy can be heard as Marcy walks out into the arctic 

Marcy (Disembodied): "Why am I so different from them?" 

Lara Lor-Van (Disembodied): "Earth's sun is younger and more nourishing than Kryptons was, Strengthening  your skin, bones and muscles, It heightened your senses and granted you powers beyond imagination." 

Lara Lor-Van (Disembodied): "You've grown stronger here than your father and I could have ever imagined." 

Lara Lor-Van (Disembodied as Marcy looks up at the sky): "But the only way to know how strong is to keep breaking your limits."  

Marcy uses her super leap to jump at an incredible height and does so two more times and manages to seemingly fly for a moment 

Marcy: "WHOOOOOO!!!!" 

Marcy notices she is beginning to descend and despite her best efforts she is still falling 

Marcy: "Wait! NO!" 

Marcy falls and crash lands into multiple mountains and she slowly returns to her feet 

Lara Lor-Van (Disembodied): "And you will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards, They will stumble, And they will fall, But in time they will join you in the sun Mara, In time you will help them accomplish wonders." 

Marcy closes her eyes as she feels the warmth of the sun touch her skin despite the arctics freezing temperatures. With all her concentration she jumps as high as she can and begins to fly at supersonic speed. 

Marcy: "WHOOOOOO!!!" 

Marcy creates a sonic boom as she leaves the Arctic continent and now flies over the African continent with a troop of gorillas looking up at her, She then flies over the island of Taiwan and over the city of Taipei with people looking up confused by a flying humanoid shape zooming above them. As Marcy flies she passes by an airplane and waves at a little boy who happened to see her but nobody else on the plane sees her (Somehow?) As Marcy begins to fly towards California she then flies straight up and leaves the planets atmosphere now hovering above the entire planet 

Marcy: "Wow." 

Marcy (Realization): "I just realized I can breathe in space and talk in the vacuum of space." 

Marcy hears her phone buzz and she manages to grab it from her suits pocket and sees it's a message from Mr Wu

Marcy (Reads the text aloud): "Come home, We need to talk." 

Marcy gulps knowing what the message could entail but she then realized. They aren't really her parents, just strangers who took her in, She didn't have to be afraid of them anymore. Marcy sighs and fly's down to Earth and softly lands near her parents backyard. She opens the door and finds her parents sitting at the kitchen table. Using her superspeed she changes into her civies and returns to the table and sits down at the table 

Mr Wu: "We've told you that you are not allowed to ever go into the basement."  

Marcy: "I know, But I'm so glad I didn't listen, I finally know why I have these powers and where I'm from." 

Marcy: "You see it turns that I'm actually-" 

Mr Wu: "Marcy, We know." 

Mrs Wu: "We found you as a baby in that pod." 

Marcy: "You...You knew? And you lied to me for years!" 

Marcy: "Because you told me that I have a condition!" 

Mrs Wu: "We just didn't want to hurt you." 

Mr Wu: "That's true. But we didn't call you just to tell you about the basement. Do you remember what we told you after your 13th birthday?"  

Marcy: "That thing's were going to change as I get older?" 

Mrs Wu: "Yes that." 

Marcy: "I always thought that just referred to my body changing as I get older, You know, Typical Teenager things." 

Mrs Wu: "Well that was part of it but we weren't just referring to your body, Because as we get older we don't always stay in the same place." 

Marcy (Worried): "What do you mean?" 

Mr Wu: "Marcy we’re moving." 

Marcy (Panicked): "What!? WHY!? It's just to another house down the street right!?" 

Mr Wu: "No Marcy we are moving out of state." 

Marcy: "WHY!?" 

Mrs Wu: "Your father has taken a job in Kansas and I'm sure we can enrol you in a nice prestigious school and who knows! Maybe you'll make new friends!" 

Mr Wu: "Better friends." 

Mrs Wu: "Mark!" 

Mr Wu: "No we've talked about this, those friends of hers are a bad influence they've always been a bad influence! Always dragging Marcy into trouble." 

Marcy could feel her heat vision begin to charge and there was very little stopping her from letting it all out. Marcy began to hover over her parents in a imposing manner

Marcy: "NO! YOU GUYS ARE RUNING MY LIFE!!!" 

Marcy with her super hearing could hear their hearts pounding in their chests. It didn't take Marcy long to figure out why their heart rate just shot up in an instant like that. They were afraid of her. And that was the straw that broke the camel's back  

Marcy: "I..I..I....I didn't mean to! I..I....I!" 

Marcy jumps up and flies from the house accidently destroying a part of the roof with the Wu's. Marcy now once again hovering over the Earth's orbit fires her heat vision into the vacuum of space. The beams themselves were hotter than the sun and Marcy let all that anger and frustration she had felt for so long in a single moment. Marcy notices that she is rapidly descending back to Earth and there is nothing she can do to stop it. She proceeds to crash-land in a corn field as Marcy begins to fade in and out of consciousness a figure arrives looking down at Marcy with Marcy feeling as the figure picks her up in a careful manner

Clark Kent: "MA! PA! You're going to want to see this!" 

When Marcy awoke she found that she was lying in someone else's bed which causes Marcy to shoot straight up 

Clark Kent: "Oh good you're awake!" 

Marcy: "GAAAAHHH! WHO THE HECK ARE YOU!?"  

Clark Kent: "Oh I'm Clark! Clark Kent! You uh...Crash landed on my parents farm." 

Marcy: "OH DANGIT! I'm so so sorry! You see um." 

Clark Kent: "It's ok! This isn't the first time something like this has happened!" 

Marcy: "Wait what!?" 

Martha Kent enters the room 

Martha Kent: "Hi there!" 

Clark Kent: "Well uh..." 

Clark Kent: "I just realized I don't know your name!" 

Marcy: "Marcy, Marcy Wu." 

Clark Kent: "Well Marcy! This is my Ma!" 

Martha Kent: "But you can just call me Martha dear." 

Martha Kent: "We have some food downstairs for you if you're hungry?" 

Marcy: "But you just met me! Don't you have questions about how I crash landed in your cornfield!?" 

Clark Kent: "We figured you would tell us when you were ready."  

Marcy puts back on her glasses and follows Clark down stairs, As she enters the dining room she finds the Kents already sitting down at the table with Clark giving a friendly smile 

John Kent: "So Clark, Who's your friend?" 

Clark Kent: "Well that's Marcy, She crashed landed into the farm." 

John Kent: "HA! Sounds like someone I know!" 

Clark (Embarrassed): "PA!!!"

As the Kents told all the various boyhood tales from Clarks life something was tugging at Marcy, a feeling she never truly felt before, And it hurt. So Marcy decides to sit outside. Clark notices and decides to go out and join her. 

Clark Kent: "We weren't being too cringe right?" 

Marcy (Chuckles): "Super cringe, But hey I'm really cringe myself." 

Clark Kent: "I don't think you’re cringe." 

Marcy: "Why are you such a boy scout?" 

Clark Kent: "Just raised that way. Now, Can you tell me why you crash landed in our farm?" 

Marcy: "It's a little hard to talk about it." 

Clark Kent: "Well flying always helps me when I'm scared." 

Marcy: "Thanks Mr Kent but...Wait! Did you say flying!?" 

Clark Kent (Hovering over Marcy): "Yup." 

Clark was no longer wearing his clothes and glasses and is now wearing a supersuit similar to Marcy's but with the colors being mostly bright blues with a red S on his chest and a giant red cape on his back. 

Marcy: "WAIT! You're the Metropolis Superman!?" 

Superman: "The one and only." 

Marcy removes her glasses and changes into her own supersuit. Marcy grabs Superman's hand and the two fly off and are now above the Earth standing on the moon

Superman: "Now, Can you tell me why you crash landed on our farm?" 

Marcy (Sighs): "Ok, My parents, My Earth parents aren't the greatest and um..." 

Superman (Notices Marcy tearing up and puts a hand on her shoulder): "It's ok, Take your time, No one is here to rush you." 

Marcy: "My parents want to move us to somewhere in Kansas. Which would tear me and my friends apart!" 

Marcy (Pulls a picture of herself and her friends out of her pocket): "For as long as I can remember I haven't had many friends if any, I don't know if it's because I'm really shy and anxious, Or if it's because of how...Different I am compared to everyone else, Not including my powers I mean. And these two?" 

Marcy (Beginning to cry): "They're all I've got." 

Superman: "I understand, Really! I do. When I was your age my friend Lex moved from Smallville to Metropolis. I was crushed, It felt like the end of the world! But my parents and a new friend would teach me a lesson I would never forget." 

Marcy (Rubs her eyes): "What's the lesson?" 

Superman (Once again puts a hand on Marcy's shoulder): "That it's never as bad as it seems and that you are so much stronger than you think you are."  

Marcy: "Clark, I might've alluded to this earlier but I'm not-" 

Superman: "Human? Yeah me too."  

Superman: "Clark Kent is just my human name, My alien name is Kal-El." 

Marcy: "Kal-El, Then that means-" 

Superman: "Yes I know, I'm also a Kryptonian and believe me I'm just as shocked as you are!" 

Marcy: "No not that, Your-" 

Marcy (Excited): "YOUR MY FREAKIN BROTHER!!!" 

Superman (Suspicious): "Really? Because we look nothing alike." 

Marcy: "YES REALLY!!! Our mom told me about you! But she didn't mention what exactly happened to you she didn't say, But now I know! Your the Metropolis SUPERMAN!" 

Superman: "Superman, It's just Superman." 

Marcy: "Oh sorry." 

Marcy: "Thank you Clark, I needed to hear that." 

Superman: "You're welcome. It sounded like you needed a friend." 

Marcy: "By the way, How long was I out for?" 

Superman (Awkwardly): "Oh! uh! you've been out since last night." 

Marcy (Panicked): "SINCE LAST NIGHT!?" 

Superman: "It's okay! You fell from the atmosphere! I'd probably be knocked out as well." 

Marcy: "I gotta get going! Ugh my Earth parents are gonna kill me!" 

Superman: "Wait! Before you go! I want to give you something." 

Marcy: "Sure, What is it?" 

Superman: "Well it's two thing's but the first thing is this." 

Superman hands Marcy what looks to be a watch but it looks like that alien S symbol on both hers and Clarks supersuit. 

Superman (Attaching the device to Marcy's wrist): "If you ever need any help! This thing is going to help you a lot." 

Marcy: "And what's the second thing?" 

Superman: "That you are never alone! And that the people closest to you aren't only in your head, But in your heart as well." 

Marcy: "Thank you Clark." 

Marcy jumps and begins to fly towards California and Clark picks up his phone 

Clark: "Bruce It's me. You're going to want to hear about this." 

Marcy changes back to her civies and lands on a random street somewhere in LA. She looked down at her phone with various texts from both her parents and her friends with her parents sending texts full of apologies and requests to come home. Marcy knew they didn't care about her safety, just their own image. Her friend's texts seemed to just be confused as to why she wasn't at school or the library. Marcy pulls out her phone and quickly texts a happy birthday confirming she is alright. Marcy then comes to a startling realization 

Marcy: "CRAP! It's her birthday today! I forgot to get her something!" 

Marcy walks around LA in a panicked state in an attempt to find a birthday present for Anne. Marcy then finally stops and enters a thrift store in a moment of desperation 

Patrick (Raises a hand to shake Marcy's): "Well boy howdy do! the names Patrick O'Brian! And I am the owner of this finedy do establishment. Now can how I help you on this beautiful afternoon." 

Marcy (Awkwardly shakes his hand): "Um hi." 

Patrick: "Well you're the anxious one? So how can I help?" 

Marcy: "Well sir, I'm looking for a gift for my best friend." 

Marcy (Shows Patrick an image of Anne on her phone): "Well you see sir her name is Anne and it's her birthday and she needs a gift." 

Marcy (Slowly begins to blush more and more as she talks until she looks like a tomato): "She's one of nicest people I know, She's kind sweet, A total goob and she deserves the best! She needs the best! And I want nothing more than to give her something beautiful, Because she is beautiful." 

Marcy (Covers her mouth due to her embarrassment and to hide her bright red face): "Sorry I didn't mean to talk at you like that!" 

Patrick: "Hmmmm, Hmmmm ok! You look like the biggest disaster Lesbian I've ever met! Christ! you're even more of a disaster than Alex Danvers! Which is weird because she's like a sergeant in the LAPD and that is not a gig to be a disaster in. So ok I'll look for something to satisfy your little gay heart and your crush!" 

Marcy (Embarrassed): "She is not my crush!" 

Patrick: "Hm ok honey I've seen criminals be more honest with themselves than you are right now! Because little missy you are totally crushing on her so hard!" 

Marcy: "No! She's not!" 

Patrick (Sarcastically): "Yeah sure."  

Patrick: "Now let me see what I can scrounge up for you and your cru-." 

Patrick (Sarcastically): "Sorry I meant your bestie." 

Patrick throws random objects around in search of something perfect for Anne with Marcy using her super speed to dodge the oncoming objects. 

Patrick (Pulls out the Calamity Box): "Here we are!" 

Marcy (Confused): "What is it?" 

Patrick: "It's called the..."

Patrick (Flips through the pages of a book): "THE SENZU BEAN!" 

Patrick (Confused): "No that's not right." 

Patrick (Flips through the pages again): "THE INFINITY STONES!" 

Patrick (Once again confused and now a little annoyed): "No that's not it either." 

Patrick (Again flips through the pages): "TITANS BLOOD!" 

Patrick (Annoyed): "What the hell!? Why am I getting the wrong friggin page!?" 

Patrick (Finally arrives on the correct page): "AH! Here we are! The Calamity box!" 

Marcy: "Calamity Box?" 

Patrick (Reads from the book): "Legends claim that 1,000 years ago the box arrived from the stars with a warning stating it came with immense power but could come with a terrible cost, For generations it has travelled across our world and has been in the markets for centuries and now...It's arrived here. Legends say the box can transport its user to other worlds."  

Marcy: "Other worlds?" 

Patrick startles Marcy by closing the book 

Patrick: "So? Do you want it?" 

Marcy grabs the box and looks down at it. She notices that there is a small hole on the box next to the other gems indicating that there were more than two gems. Marcy knew it was risky and heck it was probably stupid but it was worth the gamble, She just wasn't ready to say goodbye. Marcy could feel her heat vision begin to charge as both her eyes glowed in a intimidating manner 

Marcy: "I'll take it."

Chapter Text

When Marcy awakes she finds herself surrounded by buildings she's never seen before. The environment felt more humid than LA but aside from that it didn't feel that much different from LA

Marcy (Whispers): "It worked."

Marcy (Shouts): "IT WORKED!!!" 

Marcy: "IT ACTUALLY WORKED!!!" 

Marcy: "THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!" 

Marcy jumps in excitement but she doesn't notice that she just jumped off a flight of stairs and begins to fall to the floor and it's a very long way down. Marcy lands face-first on the floor  

Marcy (Getting up): "Ow. That fall should've broken something." 

Marcy turned and noticed an elderly family of what looked to be humanoid Salamanders staring at her, Their expressions were a mix of both fear and confusion 

Marcy (Waves): "Hello." 

Elderly Newt 1: "What the heck is that hideous thing!?" 

Elderly Newt 2: "I don't know! But let's get out of here!" 

The two creatures scamper off as fast as they can 

Marcy (Quietly mumbles): "I guess something's never changed." 

Marcy jumps into the air and hovers over the city awed at its beauty 

Marcy: "Wow." 

With her super hearing Marcy can hear the sounds of panicked screams coming from the city below, She flies down to the source of the screams and hides behind an alleyway. When Marcy peaks around the corner to find a building is currently on fire and the local Salamanders are panicked 

Night guard member 1: "Citizens! Please remain calm our people are doing are best to search for your loved ones the best we can!" 

Great Uncle Salam: "You gotta do something! My grand-niece is still in there!" 

Nigh guard member 2: "And we will but we need to wait for the water scarabs to arrive before we can go and save her." 

Great Uncle Salam: "SHE COULD BE BURNT TO A CRISP BY THEN!" 

The citizens begin to heckle the night guard for their seeming lack of action. Immediately the thought about rescuing the Salamander pops into her mind. Marcy has never saved anyone before because her parents always told her to hide her powers besides what if she just makes things worse? Marcy unzips her hoodie unveiling that alien S, The symbol of the house of El. Marcy looked at the symbol thinking about what it represents. 

Marcy (Mutters to herself): "The symbol of the house of El means hope." 

The more Marcy looks at the symbol she begins to think to herself about what Clark would do. Marcy sighs changes into her super suit and jumps up into the air creating a sonic boom as she flies high in the sky the Salamanders look up at her pointing at her with awe and confusion 

Axolot: "Look up in the sky!"

Snoot: "It's a bird!" 

Night: "It's a planebug!" 

Marcy flies down and bursts through the roof of the building and with her X-ray vision begins to search for anyone left behind. 

'It was just supposed to be a simple job' Lillypad thought as the fire around her made it hard to see and the smoke and soot made it nearly impossible to breathe, Lillypad coughed until all of a sudden she heard a crashing sound! She assumes that it's the roof beginning to fall into itself and that this is her end. But Lillypad felt a gust of wind touch her skin causing her to recoil but when she opened her eyes she found that a monster was holding a part of the roof preventing it from falling. The monster itself had short jet black hair with a green hairclip, what looked to be some kind of facebump along with being very tall and muscular. The monster looked to be wearing a dark green suit with a bright green cape and a silverly looking symbol on her chest that vaguely looked like an S. The figure reached out her five-fingered hand 

Marcy: "TAKE MY HAND!" 

Lillypad reaches out her hand but hesitates due to the monster's unsightly appearance 

Marcy: "It's ok! I'm here to help!" 

Lillypad grabs Marcy's hand allowing Marcy to pick her up but Lillypad notices that a piece of wood is about to fall on top of them  

Lillypad: "LOOK OUT!" 

Marcy turns and fires her heat vision at the piece slicing the plank in half 

Marcy: "You...May wanna hold on!" 

Marcy jumps up into the air flying high in the sky and terrifying Lillypad 

Lillypad: "OH FROG! IF YOU GOT ME! THEN WHO'S GOT YOU!?"  

Marcy: "I got me."  

Marcy slowly lands back to the surface carefully before letting go of Lillypad allowing her to embrace her Great Uncle, Marcy turns to the burning building and uses her super breath to freeze the building stopping the fire. The crowd cheers as the day is saved. Lillypad turns to look at Marcy 

Lillypad: "Who are you?" 

Marcy: "A friend." 

Marcy jumps up into the air and flies high into the sky with the crowd murmuring to themselves both confused and excited about what they had just witnessed 

One hour later... Marcy hovers above the city, While the Salamanders used a different method of creating light than humans do it still looked beautiful regardless. Marcy could hear the sounds of footsteps arrive coming from behind her 

Olivia: "It's beautiful up here isn't it?" 

Marcy (Turns her head to look at Olivia): "Who are you?" 

Olivia: "I am Lady Olivia representative and royal advisor of King Andrias Leviathan." 

Olivia (Gestures at the Salamander standing next to her): "And this is Headmaster Albert of the Newtopian Nightguard." 

Marcy: "Can I help you with something?" 

Olivia: "Yes, The King has requested your presence and you must come with me at once." 

Marcy (Excited): "GET OUT! THE KING WANTS TO MEET ME!? I am so honored!" 

Marcy (Turns to Albert): " But what about you?" 

Albert: "I wanted to ask you if you could join the night guard. You are a being of great power and heart, You could've ignored that fire and flown away but you chose to help, Most people join the Nightguard for the thrill of it or because of status. Not to help their fellow Newt. I think the nightguard could do with someone like you." 

Marcy (Excited): "REALLY!?" 

Albert (Chuckles): "Yes, Yes although there is a trial you must do, I have a feeling you shall pass with flying colors." 

Marcy (Realization): "Wait Newts? I thought you guys were Salamanders?" 

Olivia: "Salamander is offensive. Please don't call us that." 

Marcy (Covers her mouth in embarrassment): "I'm sorry!" 

Olivia: "It's ok, But I think it's time you meet the king, Don't you?" 

Marcy: "I couldn't agree more!" 

Marcy and Lady Olivia enter the castle and Marcy is startled when she sees a huge Newt sitting on a huge throne looking very imposing. 

Olivia: "Creature, This is King Andrias Levithan first of his name and peacekeeper for a thousand years." 

Marcy: "Oh man...You're huge! You have to be at least thirty feet tall!" 

Andrias: "Huh?"  

Marcy begins to fly towards Andrias 

Marcy (Sing songy): "I just got an idea!" 

Marcy hovers towards Andrias's pocket and proceeds to get inside it 

Marcy: "HAHA I KNEW IT!" 

Marcy (Attaches a small figure to Andrias's attire): "Here is a reward for my little experiment. I hope you like it!"  

Andrias looks down at the figure. It looked like a small robot with engravings of musical notes on its body. Andrias was surprised that the creature was this 'Pure' and despite her abilities, it didn't seem she could hurt anybody she was borderline harmless 

Andrias (Laughs): "SIMPLY DELIGHTFUL! I must ask? What is your name creature?" 

Marcy pondered for a moment that a part of her wanted to use her Kryptonian name and not her human one but her human name was the name she had been called all her life. Marcy figured the name 'Mara Tan-El' would be a bit too complicated for everyone so the name Marcy was just simpler 

Marcy: "My name is Marcy, Marcy Wu." 

Andrias: "Nice name, Can I call you Mar-Mar?" 

Andrias noticed Marcy flinches a little at the name, It must have meant a lot to her 

Andrias: "Ah my apologies. I was unaware that was not for discussion." 

Marcy: "No, No! It's fine. It's just that my friends gave me that name is all." 

Marcy: "Say! You wouldn't happen to know where my friends are would you?" 

Andrias: "No, But we begin to send out search parties at once!" 

Andrias (Turns to Olivia): "Lady Olivia, Please escort Marcy to her room at once! She has a long day in store for her tomorrow from what I've heard." 

Olivia: "Of course." 

Olivia (Gestures to a hallway): "Right this way Master Marcy."  

Andrias looks down at the figure and smiles weakly at it 

Metropolis. Earth. Year. 2019 

Lois Lane sits on her office desk looking at her computer, It was a euphoric feeling taking Perry's old position although no longer being able to write articles as much was certainly a mood killer. Lois could hear a knock on the door she tensed for a moment but when the door opened, She relaxed as Clark enters 

Clark (Closes the door behind him): "Hey Babe." 

Lois (Allows Clark to kiss her on the cheek): "Well hello there Smallville." 

Clark (Notices Lois looks busy): "What's up? Did somebody's cat get stuck up a tree again?" 

Lois: "No." 

Lois (Turns her computer over to Clark): "The LA division of the Daily Planet wanted to write an article on some local teenagers that went missing yesterday and they wanted to see if I could send someone to LA." 

Clark (Points at the computer): "Hey! I know this one!" 

Lois: "You do?"  

Clark: "Her name is Marcy, She crash-landed on the farm yesterday she was scared about moving away from her friends. So I tried to tell her that it's never as bad as it seems. But I guess it didn't stick as well as I thought it did." 

Lois (Notices Clark's stoic expression): "I know that look." 

Clark (Sighs): "Yes, Yes you do." 

Lois (Sarcastically): "THIS LOOKS LIKE A JOB FOR!-" 

Clark (Sighs): "Superman."

Lois: "I'll notify the LA division of the planet that you're coming." 

Clark (Kisses Lois): "Thanks babe." 

Lois: "You're more than welcome Clark." 

Clark uses his Superspeed to leave the planet headquarters and fly to LA  

As Clark flies toward LA he slows down and picks up his phone 

Clark (Rings his phone): "Hello?" 

Bruce (Picks up): "Hello?" 

Clark: "Hey Bruce! How are you?"

Bruce: "Good, Clark why are you calling? You know how busy I am."  

Clark: "I know but hey listen, Do you remember the 'Thing' I told you about?" 

Bruce: "You mean you have a younger sister living in LA? Yeah, I remember Diana and I were getting ready to send her a letter to join The Society."  

Clark: "Bruce, She's gone missing and I'm trying to find her, You're the world's greatest detective surely you know where to start looking for her." 

Bruce: "Clark you're a reporter you should know this." 

Clark: "I don't mean where everyone would look, I mean something in the Meta-Human department we could start with." 

Bruce: "Fine, His name is Patrick O'Brian, Codename: Plastic Man, He runs a local thrift store in the LA area and was a former con/thief. Patrick is one of the society's agents stationed in LA and he is very familiar with LA's Meta-Human scene, So if there's anyone you should talk to it's him." 

Clark: "Thank you, Bruce." 

Bruce: "I'll be sending somebody to assist you in the investigation." 

Clark: "You sure? Wouldn't they be needed in Gotham?" 

Bruce: "I have Gotham covered and besides, I stay away from LA with a 50ft pole." 

Clark (Chuckles): "Thanks Bruce. See you soon." 

Bruce (Hangs up): "You too Clark." 

Bruce turns to a mysterious figure standing near the Bat-Computer in an imposing manner 

Bruce: "I'm sending you to LA to assist Superman report any of your findings on the other Kryptonian to me." 

The Red Hood emerges from the shadows reloading his pistol 

The Red Hood (Points to his gun): "No promises on not breaking them." 

Los Angles. Earth.Year. 2019 

Clark enters Patrick's thrift store with Patrick immediately recognizes him 

Patrick: "I do apologize greatly but this jackass just entered my store and that means you all have to leave!" 

Everyone stares at Patrick 

Patrick: "So in other words, We are closed! Good day everyone!" 

Everyone grumbles and leaves the store with Patrick staring daggers at Clark 

Patrick: "Ok you have 5 god damn minutes Supes because I swear to god I'm going to shove my foot so far up your ass-" 

Clark: "You can try, But you'll just have a broken foot." 

Patrick (Sighs): "What the hell do you want?" 

Clark (Shows an image of Marcy to Patrick): "Do you know who this is?" 

Patrick (Angrily tears apart the missing poster): "YEAH! THAT'S THE JACKASS WHO STOLE MY BOX AND SHOT ME IN THE FACE!"  

Patrick points to a burn mark on his left cheek 

Patrick: "You're also Kryptonian! Surely you recognize heat vision burns when you see it." 

Clark: "Sorry about that but, Why would she steal a box?" 

Patrick: "It's a music box! She wanted to get something for her best friend since it was her birthday yesterday." 

Clark: "Yeah even for a teenager that doesn't sound like a good motive." 

Patrick: "Oh yeah the box is said to have the ability to transport its user to another world." 

Patrick: "Cooky stuff am I right?" 

Clark: "I'm from another world and so is Marcy." 

Patrick: "Yeah whatever! You got what you wanted so get the hell out of my store!" 

Patrick (Bangs the desk): "NOW!" 

Clark leaves the thrift store and mutters to himself 

Clark: "What an asshole." 

Clark sits inside the reception of Saint James High School as reporters from various news stations interview various members of staff who knew the three girls with Clark being the last interviewer of the day with Clark interviewing the principal of the school 

Desk Clerk: "Mr Kent, Principal Murphy will see you now." 

Clark gets up and walks toward the Principal's office. Principal Murphy seemed like a kind but very tired woman 

Clark: "Hello there my name is Clark Kent, I'm from the Daily Planet and I'm just here to" 

Principal Murphy: "Daily Planet huh? Well, you're a long way from home?" 

Clark: "We expanded from Metropolis to LA a year or so ago." 

Principal Murphy: "Ah I see I thought you guys only ever covered Superman?" 

Clark: "Superman is just the most popular, we do other stuff too!" 

Principal Murphy: "I see, Look before we get started I just want you to know that I can't give private information about the girls, It goes against our student confidentially policy." 

Clark: "Actually I was going to request private details. I'm a family friend of the Wu's." 

Principal Murphy (Unimpressed): "Likely story." 

Clark gets his phone out and shows Principal Murphy a picture of himself and Marcy posing outside the Kent family farm 

Principal Murphy (Sighs): "Fine. But I'm only giving details about Marcy." 

Clark: "That is more than fine Principal Murphy." 

Principal Murphy gets up from her seat and grabs a file from her cabinet 

Principal Murphy (Reading from the file): "Marcy Wu, 14 years old, Straight A student minus P.E, Head of the chess club and both head and founder of the St James Young Architects Society."   

Clark: "Does her file mention anything...Strange?" 

Principal Murphy: "Well there was one incident." 

Clark: "What was it?" 

Principal Murphy (Sighs): "It was a few years ago, Some kids were giving Marcy trouble. Normally Marcy's friend Sasha would protect her from bullies." 

Clark (Interrupts): "Why didn't the teachers do something?" 

Principal Murphy: "We wanted to but we couldn't do anything unless someone came to us." 

Principal Murphy: "Anyways, These kids were older than Sasha, and Marcy and Sasha always dealt with problems...Head on so to speak and that...This led to a fight and Sasha was knocked out cold. They would have done the same thing to Marcy but...Eyewitnesses claim that Marcy...She broke every bone in their body." 

Clark (Mutters to himself): "Super Strength." 

Principal Murphy: "The bullies are fine now, Lots of surgeries were needed, But they are doing better now." 

Clark: "Do you think Marcy did that?" 

Principal Murphy: "Most witnesses claim that other people got involved in the fight and some information was lost during the brawl." 

Principal Murphy: "I just think people were just seeing things that day." 

Clark: "Do you know where I can find her parents?" 

Principal Murphy (sighs): "Here is their address." 

Clark parks his rental car outside the Wu household, The house looks quite nice suggesting the Wu's must have been quite well off. Clark gets out of his car and proceeds to knock on the door. Mrs Wu opens the door 

Mrs Wu: "Hello?" 

Clark: "Hi there! Uh, I'm Clark Kent, I'm from the Daily Planet and uh, Could I come in? I need you to answer some questions for me about your daughter Marcy?" 

Mrs Wu (Hesitant): "Um yes, Please come in." 

Clark follows Mrs Wu into the house, Clark notices that the interior seems to have cracks in it, Suggesting the house was quite worn down. Clark could begin to see why the Wu's wanted to move. Clark noticed a man wearing glasses engrossed in reading a newspaper sitting at the kitchen table who he assumed was Marcy's father 

Mrs Wu (Sits down): "Mark, This is Clark Kent. He is a reporter from the Daily Planet." 

Mr Wu (Grunts): "Mm." 

Clark (Coughs): "Ahem." 

Clark: "Well I have a few questions for you and your husband about Marcy if you don't mind?" 

Mrs Wu (Somewhat hesitant): "Not at all." 

Mr Wu (Grunts): "Hmmm." 

Clark: "First things first! How would you describe Marcy's personality?" 

Mrs Wu: "Marcy was always really quiet and preferred to keep to herself. She never really sought us out much." 

Clark uses his super hearing to listen to Mrs Wu's heartbeat. That was a lie 

Clark (Writes in his notebook): "I see, And how would you describe Marcy's social life?" 

Mrs Wu: "As I said, Marcy keeps to herself but she does have two friends." 

Mr Wu: "Bad friends." 

Mrs Wu (Shoots Mr Wu a glare): "MARK!" 

Clark also shoots Mr. Wu a look but stops before he notices him 

Clark: "And what do you and Mr Wu do for a living?" 

Mrs Wu: "Well I do volunteer work and my husband works for Lex-corp." 

Clark (mutters under his breath): "Lex-corp." 

Clark: "And now the last question. Do you have any ideas or theories as to why Marcy and her friends disappeared?" 

Mrs Wu (Shrugs sadly): "I have no idea." 

Clark didn't need his super hearing to know that wasn't completely true. While they had no idea where she disappeared to they did know why she disappeared and that blatant lie...angered Clark 

Clark: "We both know that's not true." 

Mrs Wu (Startled): "Huh!?" 

Clark: "We both know the reason she ran away was that you told her you were moving and that scared her so she ran, Didn't she?" 

Mr Wu drops his newspaper and stares daggers at Clark 

Clark: "When I said that was my last question, That was my last question from the Daily Planet, But I still have a few questions of my own." 

Clark: "Now, Where did you store her pod?" 

Mrs Wu: "Mr Kent!? What are you talking about!?" 

Clark: "Where is her pod?" 

Mrs. Wu simply stands there, Stunned at Mr. Kent's foresight on everything 

Mrs Wu: "It's...it's in the basement. But how did you know?" 

Clark sighs and begins to levitate shocking the Wu's, Clark lands and proceeds to land and look at the Wu's 

Mrs Wu: "You...You have her powers." 

Clark: "When Marcy stormed off she crash-landed on my family's farm. And once I told her about my powers and how I am...Superman, She told me everything, I tried to reassure her but I guess it didn't work out. She stole a music box and after learning that it may have the ability to..."

Mrs Wu: "To what?" 

Clark (Sighs): "To transport you to other worlds." 

Mr Wu: "Well that's just typical of her, She would rather hide in her fantasy world than face reality." 

Mrs Wu: "Mark!?" 

Mr Wu: "No! Marcy would rather put her head in the sand than face the hard facts and while the move will be hard on her...She'll manage." 

Clark: "You seriously believe that? Maybe instead of letting that sweet promotion go to your head, you see how your family is affected by your decisions."

Clark simply sighs and begins to walk toward the basement 

Clark: "I came here so I could see if Marcy was telling the truth about you." 

Mrs Wu: "Well...what do you think?" 

Clark: "Maybe she was right." 

Clark enters the basement and makes his way to grab the pod 

Smallville. Kent family farm. The USA. Year. 2019

Clark sits on a dining room chair. He had stored the pod inside the barn, right next to his own, Clark smiled at that distracting him from his thoughts regarding the Wu's, How could somebody choose to take in a child but yet...They treat her like that? Pa Kent enters the room stretching as his back 

Jonathan Kent: "Pods all secure, It's sure one hell of a workout to get it in the barn." 

Jonathan Kent (Notices Clark's somber expression): "Son, Is everything alright?" 

Clark: "I'm fine Pa it's just...Something's on my mind is all." 

Jonathan Kent (Sits next to Clark): "Well, What is it then?" 

Clark: "You know the...Other Kryptonian that landed here?" 

Jonathan Kent: "Yeah, What about her?" 

Clark: "She said she is my sister? I don't know if that's true or not, Maybe she's lying or she was lied to but...She's like us, She has human parents and they...Didn't treat her right." 

Jonathan Kent: "Oh?" 

Clark: "I just don't get it. They...At least the dad...they acted like she was a burden...They didn't love her." 

Clark (Getting emotional): "How could a parent not love their child?" 

Jonathan Kent (Sighs): "People...Start families for different reasons, Sometimes it's something out of our control, and other times it's our own choice, some people choose to have families and don't care for them because they don't want to but keep them, But they do because of the mess divorce or abandonment can cause. In other words." 

Jonathan Kent (Fidgets with his hat): "They may take care of them, But that doesn't mean they like them." 

Clark (Upset): "Why?" 

Jonathan Kent (Sighs and hugs Clark): "I don't know Clark...I just don't know." 

Cragmarrow Cove. Amphibia. Year. 2019 

Lillypad sits at her campsite, She couldn't get the image of that creature out of her head, Despite its horrifying appearance it saved her life, And that felt inspirational. Salam had always told her to do more with her life, This may have been the spark needed to finally get her to listen. Joining the Nightguard was always a dream of hers, Newts like her weren't normally accepted into the Nightguard but that didn't mean she couldn't try. Lillypad heard a roar, It was close, VERY! Close!

Lillypad (Sighs): "Let's do this." 

Lillypad begins to make her way toward the source of the roar 

Newtopia. Amphibia. Year. 2019 

Marcy is now standing outside the Nighguards headquarters with Headmaster Albert emerging from its huge double doors 

Marcy (Excited): "Ok! What do I need to do!?" 

Albert (Chuckles): "Okay, Okay settle down!"

Albert (Coughs): "Now! To become a member of the Newtopian Night Guard you must steal an egg from a Giant Golden Crab!" 

Marcy (Is handed a small painting of the crab and puts it in her journal): "Cool, Where do I find this thing?" 

Albert: "Cragmarrow Cove, It's far from here but might take a few hours before-" 

Marcy jumps and begins flying towards the cove 

Albert (Sighs): "Teenagers." 

As Marcy flies across the skies she uses her X-ray vision to try and spot the crab, But despite her efforts, she hasn't quite found anything yet 

Marcy: "Nothing!? How can there be nothing!?" 

Marcy grumbles to herself in frustration until she hears the sound of screaming as she sees the same Newt she saved yesterday being chased by...A Giant Gold Crab!? 

Marcy (Excited): "YES!" 

Lillypad runs as fast as she can but can feel her legs begin to ache she can't stop but before the crab can catch her she feels a gust of wind land behind her as her savior from yesterday lands grabbing and lifting the crab with no effort

Marcy: "You ok kid?" 

Lillypad: "I am now." 

Marcy throws the crab sending it flying and landing far from them knocking them out in the process 

Lillypad: "Hey uh! I never got to thank you for saving me." 

Marcy: "Sure, But could you tell me what you were doing inside, THAT BURNING BUILDING!?" 

Lillypad (Sighs): "It's...A long story." 

Marcy: "Right, Right sorry to pry but-" 

Lillypad: "Look I'm trying to join the nightguard alright." 

Marcy (Excited): "No way! ME TOO!" 

Lillypad: "Wait! Really!?" 

Marcy: "YUP!" 

Lillypad: "So uh...You wanna look for the crab together?" 

Marcy: "Sure! But uh...Didn't you already find it and nearly died?" 

Lillypad: "That was it's baby." 

Marcy and Lillypad are now in the nest of the giant golden crab which is currently sleeping

Lillypad (Whispers loudly): "THAT'S THE CRAB!" 

Marcy (Surprised): "Oh man, That's a big crab." 

Lillypad: "You act like seeing a giant crab is a new thing for you?" 

Marcy: "Cause yeah! This is new for me! Where I'm from crabs are no bigger than my hand for the most part!" 

Lillypad: "SHHHHH! Keep it down!"  

The two hid behind a small rock 

Lillypad: "Ok! Here's the plan, I'm going to try and sneak in and grab an egg and you'll be my lookout in case it wakes up and once I come back you get your egg, Does that sound good?" 

Marcy: "Sounds perfect!" 

Lillypad sneaks into the cave and watches the crab in case the monster can't save her in time. Lillypad grabs an egg and discreetly runs back to the small rock holding the egg in a careful yet uneasy manner 

Lillypad (Whispers): "Ok, Your turn." 

Marcy nods and begins to sneak toward the nest but just when she grabs her egg she accidentally trips on a small rock causing the crab to awaken 

Marcy: "Awwwwww fiddlesticks." 

The crab roars and knocks Marcy towards a wall with Marcy still holding the egg. Marcy flies towards the crab and tries to punch it but the crab somehow gets out of the way and grabs Marcy with its claws restraining her, Marcy fires her heat vision at the crab but the crab doesn't even flinch 

Marcy: "Well that can't be good." 

Marcy began to wince as the crab began to squeeze its claw, Lillypad began to panic, Unsure of what to do but then came up with an idea, Lillypad emerged from the rock and shouted at the crab 

Lillypad: "HEY UGLY!" 

The crab turns to look at Lillypad 

Marcy (Confused): "What the?" 

Lillypad(Throws her crab egg): "CATCH!" 

The crab lets go of Marcy and runs towards its egg allowing Marcy to escape, 

Lillypad: "RUN! NOW!" 

Marcy runs and grabs Lillypad and flies off as fast as she can 

The two land far from cave the breathing heavily before eventually laughing 

Lillypad: "HeeheehHAAHAHAHAHAAH!!!!" 

Marcy: "HAHAHAHAHAAHAH!!!!" 

Lillypad: "That was amazing!" 

Marcy: "I KNOW! IT WAS AWESOME! But I guess we're even now huh?" 

Lillypad: "Your damn right we are! It's just a shame we lost both of our-" 

Lillypad (Notices Marcy is still holding her egg): "Eggs." 

Marcy: "Invulnerability, My body is as tough as steel." 

Lillypad: "Wait? That thing wasn't hurting you?" 

Marcy: "It's not like I didn't feel it! I was...Uncomfortable I wasn't in a whole lot of pain." 

Lillypad (Sombre): "Oh." 

Marcy (Raises an eyebrow in a worried tone): "Are you...ok?" 

Lillypad (Tries to hide the fact she's upset): "I'm fine...Congratulations on joining the night guard, I think you earned it." 

Marcy: "I didn't earn anything! YOU! You Saved me from that crab even though you could've easily run away! But you didn't run away!" 

Marcy: "That's not just what a Nightguard ranger does!" 

Marcy (Puts a hand on Lillypads shoulder): "That's...That's what a hero does!" 

Lillypad: "I'm no hero, I don't even have any powers!" 

Marcy: "Being a hero isn't about the powers, It's about helping people." 

Lillypad: "Even if it is true...I'm still not going to be able to join anyway. It's been my dream to join the night guard since I was a tadpole! But the more I think about it..." 

Lillypad (Gets emotional): "It was probably a stupid dream anyway." 

Marcy (Sighs and gestures at the S on her chest): "Look at the symbol on my chest! What do you think it means?" 

Lillypad: "It's an S? How could it have a meaning?" 

Marcy: "In my world, it's a rune. And it means hope, And that everyone! No matter who they are can have the capacity for good!"  

Lillypad: "Really?"  

Marcy: "Yes really!" 

Lillypad: "It's good to have hope and all but...It's not like they are going to let me in any way..."  

Newtopia. Amphibia. Year. 2019 

Albert: "Congratulations! You both passed!" 

Marcy and Lillypad: "We did!?" 

Albert: "Yes you did. Marcy passed because she technically completed the trial but!" 

Albert: "But the trial was really about seeing how well a recruit handles failure. And in that regard..." 

Albert (Turns to Lillypad): "You passed with flying colors!" 

Albert (Walks away): "So get some rest you two! Tomorrow is another day!" 

Lillypad (Sighs): "Well uh...See you 'round uh...." 

Marcy: (Raises her hand): "Marcy Wu and uh you too uh..." 

Lillypad: "Lillypad, Lillypad Salam."

Newtopia, Amphibia, Year, 2019

The Sun rises, and it begins to slowly touch Marcy's skin, leading her to weakly open her eyes and yawns, but she shoots straight up and shouts. 

Marcy: "FIRST DAY!!!" 

Marcy quickly gets dressed and with superspeed enters the royal dining room joining Andrias for Breakfast. 

Marcy: "Good morning Andrias!" 

Andrias: "Good morning Marcy, How have you slept? We hope you slept well." 

Marcy: "It's the most sleep I've gotten in ages."  

Andrias: "Well we all are happy for you Ms Marcy." 

Lady Olivia enters the dining room looking a little annoyed. 

Olivia (Gesturing to a destroyed hallway): "While I share the king's sentiment, could I request you limit the use of your...Abilities while inside the castle." 

Marcy (Somber): "Oh...I'm sorry."

Lady Olivia was a little surprised by Marcy's delivery, It was a basic request but it seemed to upset her, Perhaps she was overstepping she is just a child after all. But still, perhaps there was something more here, Lady Olivia shoots Andrias a look of concern which Andrias reciprocates. 

Andrias: "Well, Marcy, Are you excited about your first day as a member of the Nightguard?" 

Marcy (Elated): "I'M SO EXCITED!!! I've been studying Newtopian and Night Guard history since last night and apparently! The Night Guard was founded at a time of heightened crime and corruption in Newtopian society! Its founder Sir Alois the First would give his life to stop a gang from destroying the entire city! His sacrifice would inspire generations of Newts to enlist in the Nightguard!" 

Andrias: "Marcy, I already know, I was alive when it happened. But it is so nice to see that despite the fact you have only been here for a day! You have taken it upon yourself to learn everything about our world! If everyone on your world is like you then it must be paradise." 

Marcy (Sadly chuckles): "Yeah...Paradise." 

The tone in Marcy's voice indicated that she wasn't happy on her world, Andrias had his suspicions as to why but he wouldn't pry, For now at least... 

Andrias: "If I remember correctly Night guard orientation should be starting in a few minutes." 

Marcy (Nearly trips but catches her fall): "WHOA! Heh, I'm ok! But oh shoot! I should get going!" 

Marcy (Uses her superspeed and begins to fly off): "CYA LATER 'DRIAS!" 

As Marcy flew off Andrias was a little taken aback by the nickname, Only one person had ever called him that, He wanted to be angry but that wasn't fair, Marcy didn't know any better yet the way she said it, No malice, No desire to bring Andrias pain, Just a child saying goodbye to a friend no malice, Just warmth. But regardless once Marcy had left the castle. Andrias was once again a broken husk of a Newt. 

As Lillypad sat in registration she looked down at herself, It felt weird wearing the Nightguard uniform but a good kind of weird, Lillypad then felt that familiar gust of wind come behind her as she turned to find Marcy now in her super suit standing in front of her. 

Lillypad: "Fancy meeting you 'round here." 

Marcy (Nervously): "Soooooo, You excited?" 

Lillypad (Raises her hand to punch the air): "I AM SO AMPED!!!"

Marcy (Chuckles): "Well I'm happy for you dude." 

Lillypad notices that Marcy looks to be fidgeting with her hands, The fingers of her right hand seem to be rubbing the fingers on her left, Lillypad has never seen any Newt do this before maybe it was normal for creatures like Marcy, But she wasn't sure. 

Lillypad (hesitantly): "Um...What are you doing with your hands?" 

Marcy (Stops stimming): "Oh uh...Nothing!" 

Lillypad (Awkwardly shrugs): "Ok then." 

As Lillypad walked off Marcy's expression became somber as she began to think to herself 'Stupid! Why did you have to stim in front of her? Now she already thinks you're a freak!' Marcy shakes her head 'No! This is your fantasy! You're getting the life you've always wanted! This place isn't Earth stop false equivocating!' Marcy is startled from her thoughts when she feels a hand touch her shoulder startling her and causing her to hover a little 

Yunan (A little taken aback): "You ok kid?" 

Marcy (startled): "GAH!" 

Marcy: "Sorry about that you just startled me is all." 

Yunan: "HA! No apologies needed creature!" 

Marcy: "Say! I haven't seen you around before?" 

Yunan: "Wait you haven't heard of me?" 

Marcy: "Nope! Never seen you before in my life." 

Yunan: "Well, I AM GENERAL YUNAN! SCROURGE OF THE SAND WARS, DEFEATER OF RAGNAR WRECTEHED, AND THE YOUNGEST NEWT EVER TO ACHIEVE THE RANK OF GENERAL IN THE GRAND NEWTOPIAN ARMY!" 

Marcy (Hovers in excitement): "WOW! Oh my gosh! That is so cool!" 

Yunan: "Wait! Are you flying?" 

Marcy (Nervously scratches her neck): "Heh yeah." 

Headmaster Albert emerges from his office and shakes Marcy's hand. 

Albert: "Ah Marcy it is good to see you again." 

Marcy: "You too!" 

Albert gestures for Lillypad to join him which she does, The three begin walking towards the night guard barracks, and Albert opens the door to one of the barracks revealing three Newts, The Newts are startled and pull out their weapons. 

Albert: "Drop your weapons!" 

Albert (Angrily): "You were taught to be better than that! You aren't meatheads from the Newtopian army!" 

Javi: "Right, Sorry headmaster." 

Albert: "Well Lillypad, Marcy, I would like you to meet your teammates." 

Albert (Sighs and gestures to the Newt at the door): "This is Javi." 

Javi (Arrogantly smiles): "What a pleasure." 

Albert (Now gestures at the small Newt): "This is your team's demolitions expert Kettle." 

Kettle (Passive aggressively): "Hey." 

Albert (Gestures at the large Newt): "And this is Femur." 

Femur awkwardly waves with Marcy shyly waving back. 

Javi: "Wait! Since I have the highest rank here! Doesn't that mean I'm in charge!?" 

Albert: "Hahahaha! No." 

Javi: "Wait what!?" 

Lillypad: "Wait if he isn't in charge! Then who is?" 

Albert: "Well because Marcy actually managed to steal the crab egg, She has been given immediate pay of 20,000 coppers and she is being fast-tracked to the rank of chief ranger." 

Javi: "SERIOUSLY! AW MAN!" 

Lillypad: "You know I had a feeling something like this was going to happen." 

Marcy: "Well headmaster I won't let you down!" 

Headmaster (Goes from warm to cold): "HAHAHAHA! You better not." 

Headmaster Albert slams the door startling Marcy. 

Marcy: "Well that was weird, I didn't offend him did I?" 

Javi (Chuckles): "No that's just Albert for ya one of the biggest jerks who ever lived." 

Marcy: "That doesn't sound like Headmaster Albert he seemed like a kind sweet old man." 

Javi: "Wait you fell for his act let me laugh even harder." 

Javi: "HAHAHAHAHA!" 

Kettle (Slaps Javi): "Hey not cool dude." 

Javi: "Owwww!" 

Kettle: "Yeah amongst the night guard it's no secret that Headmaster Albert is a huge jerk the only reason most Newts don't know is because Night guard whistle-blowers are silenced." 

Lillypad: "Oh dang." 

Marcy simply gulps 

Lillypad: "Sooooo uh...How long have you guys been serving?" 

Javi: "7 years." 

Kettle: "9 years." 

Femur holds up all four fingers on his right hand. 

Lillypad: "Well uh, Ahem, I'm Lillypad and you should already know who Marcy is." 

Kettle: "I mean I didn't know her name up until now but I heard you saved a Newt from a burning building. Congrats even our best members would have chickened out." 

Marcy: "Oh uh thanks." 

Javi: "Well we don't have any missions for the moment so I for one think we should just sit back and kick our feet up and relax." 

Kettle: "Well Javi, Marcy is our commanding officer so I for one think she should tell us what we should do." 

Lillypad: "So uh...Got any ideas." 

Marcy: "Well how about some icebreakers!?" 

Javi: "Wait you want us to break ice? Ugh, I guess we're going all the way to the mountains then." 

Marcy (Stutters from anxiety before managing to catch her breathe): "Well uh uh uh uh...I wasn't being literal! It's a saying where I'm from, It basically means getting to know each other." 

Kettle: "Ok well how do you propose we 'Icebreak' each other." 

Marcy (gets excited): "I thought you would never ask!" 

Marcy flies at superspeed startling everybody but she quickly returns and sets up what looks to be some kind of board game with a strange kind of dice that none of them have ever seen before 

Kettle: "CAN YOU WARN SOMEBODY THE NEXT TIME YOUR ABOUT TO DO THAT!" 

Marcy: "Oh I'm sorry I just got so excited because nobody's ever on board with my ideas." 

Javi: "Well can you tell us what in frogs in name is this?" 

Marcy: "THIS! Is Creatures and Caverns! It's my favorite game from back home, I thought we could play it together!" 

Lillypad: "Well what's it about?" 

Marcy: "Well the basic premise is that you're a party of brave adventurers in a medieval fantasy world but aside from that, It can be whatever you want it to be even down to the way your characters act in-universe and what they look like." 

Lillypad: "Oooooh! Sounds cool." 

Javi: "What's the point of going on an adventure if we have no idea what we are doing!?" 

Marcy (Excitedly): "Well that's for the CAVERN MASTER TO DECIDE!" 

Marcy: "I would explain the rules to you in painstaking detail but...That would take too long so instead-" 

Marcy (Grabs a book as big as her head from the game box): "So you can read this instead!" 

Kettle: "Whoever made this is one sick and depraved monster." 

Femur opens the book and begins reading with the others slowly but surely beginning to peak over at the book and begin reading it as well. 

After almost 4 hours of reading the Newts had finished reading the book, Marcy watched their faces intently, and as Marcy predicted they just looked confused even a little angry at how convoluted the rules were. Marcy had really hoped they would like it but it was obviously not the case 'How could I be so stupid?' 'Of course they don't like it, I should've known better.' Marcy could feel her eyes begin to water but Lillypad began to notice Marcy's tearful expression 

Lillypad (Concerned): "Are you ok Chief Ranger?" 

Marcy: "Wha-" 

Marcy (Rubs away her tears): "I'm fine!"  

Kettle: "You sure? Your eyes are...Redder than before?" 

Marcy panics and puts her hands over her eyes preparing for her heat vision to fire, But it doesn't, She then realizes that Kettle was probably just referring to her eyes being red from rubbing the tears away. 

Javi: "The heck was all that about!?" 

Lillypad (Casually): "The Chief Ranger can shoot fire from her eyes."  

Kettle: "YOU JUST TELL US THIS NOW!?" 

Marcy then hears a door open as a panicked Newt enters the room. 

Night Guard Ranger: "Who's the Chief Ranger here!?" 

Marcy (Panicked): "That would be me!" 

Javi (Tiredly): "What is it, Ted?" 

Ted (Pants): "An Emperor's Cobra is outside the city's northern wall both the Army and the Nightguard have been ordered to capture it or ward it off." 

Marcy: "Wait you guys are worried about one little snake? You know Cobras and most other snakes are more scared of you than you are of it, So how bad could it be?" 

Marcy and her team are now outside the city and Marcy is taken aback by the huge Snake. 

Marcy (Panicked): "YEAH THAT'S PRETTY BAD!" 

Kettle: "YA THINK!?" 

Javi: "Well you got any ideas, Chief Ranger?" 

Marcy: "Well do we have anything to restrain it? Like ropes or chains?" 

Kettle (Screams as the Cobra charges towards them): "NO TIME!" 

As the Cobra lunges towards her team and the other Newts Marcy flies towards the Cobra and grabs it by the fangs and tosses it away from her team. General Yunan and Albert stand there bickering ignoring the slightly dazed Cobra. 

Yunan: "YOU WANNA TRY TALKING TO IT!?" 

Albert: "YES I DO!" 

Yunan: "Cobras! Are incredibly dangerous killing it or restraining it is our best course of action." 

Albert: "Cobras are also intelligent creatures our snake charmer is a more humane approach."  

As the Cobras focus returns it lunges at the snake charmer and eats him. 

Yunan: "Yeah I don't think being humane is currently what's on its mind right now."  

As the Cobra lunges at them, Marcy gets between them and kicks it sending it flying Marcy fires her heat vision launching it into the city walls causing the walls to break due to its weight. Marcy flies into the city, The Cobra in a mix of agony and fury begins to flail wildly destroying buildings. Marcy's team enters the city through the hole. Marcy pushes the Cobra into some nearby buildings, The Cobra hisses and charges towards Marcy and swallows her whole causing her Night guard teammates to gasp in horror, But the cobra's jaw begins to slowly open as Marcy reveals herself to be just fine (Although covered in Cobra saliva). Marcy uppercuts the Cobra sending it back through a few more buildings. Marcy finally manages to pin the Cobra. 

Marcy: "If somebody has a rope or chain of some kind that would be very much appreciated!"  

Femur joins Marcy in holding down the Cobra. Javi, Kettle, and Lillypad try to put a rope on the cobra's snout. Marcy grabs the cobra and throws it sending it over the city walls where it can be restrained by the night guard and army. 

Marcy (Slightly panting): "Did we do it?" 

Lillypad: "I think we did!" 

Femur, Javi, and Kettle clap for Marcy. 

Javi: "Well I had my doubts but you saved the city and us." 

Kettle: "You're no Ernst, But I think you're already giving him a run for his coppers." 

Albert (Pushing past Javi): "I beg to differ." 

Marcy could hear the sound of Alberts's heartbeat in her head. It was beating very fast. She had grown to recognize the sound a heart might make to correlate to one's emotions. And this was an emotion that terrified Marcy to her core. Anger. And Marcy knew that Albert wasn't like her parents who would hide that anger. Albert would let it show. 

Albert: "YOU FOOL! WHAT IN FROGS NAME WERE YOU THINKING!?" 

Marcy (Poorly hiding her fear): "Why are you yelling at me!? I was just trying to help!" 

Albert (Gestures towards the general destruction): "BUT AT WHAT COST!?" 

Marcy observes the destruction around her. Various buildings are destroyed around them. Newts try to help each other out of the rubble with some Newts being slightly injured to very injured. And some of the Newts were dead. And that scared Marcy even more. The yelling was getting louder now but it wasn't just Alberts screaming but the simple whispers of the bystanders were getting louder as well. Marcy who was already upset began to cry even harder. The voices had gotten so loud they became inaudible and unclear. Marcy's eyes became hot and she closed her eyes and covered them with her hands to prevent the lasers from hurting anyone else. And she rolls herself into a ball to cover her ears.

Albert: "YOU WILL LOOK AT ME WHEN I AM SPEAKING TO YOU!" 

Yunan (Intervenes): "That's enough headmaster." 

Albert: "YUNAN!? HOW DARE YOU INTERFERE!" 

Yunan: "She's a kid headmaster, A very scared kid at that." 

Albert: "BUT WHAT ABOUT ALL THE DAMAGE SHE CAUSED!?" 

Yunan: "Buildings can be repaired and people will move on, They always do." 

Albert: "NOT FROM AN INCIDENT SUCH AS THIS!?" 

Marcy (Mumbles incoherently as she cries): "Please s.s.s..stop yelling." 

Albert (Walks over and tries to grab Marcy): "SPEAK UP BRAT!" 

Marcy (Uncovers herself screaming at the top of her lungs her eyes glowing red as her heat vision charges): "STOP IT!!!!!!!" 

Everyone stops talking as the Kryptonian screams. There was pure fear in her red glowing eyes. Marcy jumps high into the sky and creates a sonic boom as she leaves the planet's atmosphere.

Marcy floats above the planet's orbit just next to its moon. There the girl sobbed until her eyes were red and puffy. 

Marcy: "I'm so stupid, Why did I think this world would be any better?" 

Marcy begins to stroke her arms in a soothing motion to calm herself. But as she stroked the watch-like device Kal had given her begins to glow and hum. 

Marcy (Notices): "What the!?" 

From the watch, a humanoid figure begins to form. At first, it was faceless and metallic but it slowly formed clothes and organic features until it formed into an older man with a short greyish beard and wearing alien attire with the House of El crest on his chest. The figure opens its eyes and turns to stare at Marcy. Marcy didn't know why but there was an overwhelming sense of warmth coming from the figure a kind of love that always seemed so foreign to her...A father's love.  

Marcy (Nervously): "Who are you?" 

Jor-El: "I am your father Mara. Or at least what's left of him." 

Marcy slowly raises her arms for a hug and Jor-El allows Marcy to hug him. Marcy did so slowly but once they started hugging. Despite being a kind of alien projection it all felt so real. The rough texture of his armor and even down to the finer details like how gentle the hug felt and for a moment Marcy felt something she didn't often feel on Earth. To be loved and held like a precious and fragile thing. 

Marcy (mumbles as she sobs): "Why does everyone hate me?" 

Jor-El: "It is because you are different and many species...Hate what they don't understand and fear what they can't conquer." 

Marcy: "What did I ever do to them? I only wanted to help!" 

Jor-El: "I know my child, But sometimes all we can do...Is keep trying." 

Marcy: "How!?" 

Jor-El: "Your mother and I believed that you can't make someone learn, They have to choose. Most of their kind will stumble and fall but in time. They will believe that they can fly." 

Marcy (Looks down at her hands): "How could I possibly do that!? I destroyed their homes, ruined lives and people are dead because of me! I can't be this reckless not now not ever again." 

Jor-El: "If you were still on Krypton your powers would have never developed." 

Marcy (Looks at her dad): "Dad...Why couldn't I have been with you? Why...Did I have to be left behind?" 

Jor-El (Bends down to Marcy's level): "It broke our hearts when we sent you away. But you didn't go alone. Within you, You carry with you the dreams of our people and the promise of Krypton." 

Jor-El (Allows the girl to cry into his shoulder more): "You are never alone. Not really. Because we are always with you." 

Jor-El (Points to Marcy's head): "In your head." 

Jor-El (Points to Marcy's chest): "And in your heart. Never forget that Mara." 

Jor-El slowly begins to fade as he returns to his amorphous state before he eventually fades into the watch. Marcy looks at the watch for a moment. Marcy finally takes a deep breath and begins to make her way back to Newtopia.

The damage caused to the southern part of the city was quite severe most Newts thought it would take years to rebuild it. Olivia had heard about what happened Marcy had caused the destruction sure. But her team and Yunan insisted that it seemed to be unintentional. Albert of course offered a contrasting story. Olivia thought it had seemed a bit slanderous but there was some truth to it. Olivia knocked on the door to Marcy's room. Olivia heard the sound of rustling from inside. Marcy was in there obviously but from what she was told about the incident she was quite upset so it was best to tread cautiously in case she got spooked, Olivia slowly opened the door and saw Marcy under her bed sheets. 

Olivia: "Marcy? Are you alright?" 

Marcy (Weakly): "No..." 

Olivia (Closes the door behind her): "You don't mind if we talk for a bit do you?" 

Marcy (Shakes her head weakly yet nervously): "No." 

Olivia sits next to Marcy. Oliva reaches out to Marcy but the Kryptonian flinched from the gesture causing Olivia to dawn a more somber expression. 

Marcy (Sighs in a weak tone): "I know you're going to tell me about the cobra incident. I know the damage was my fault." 

Olivia's heart ached at hearing the girl's voice, She seemed so small and fragile as if she could melt from the overwhelming guilt she felt. 

Olivia (Weakly chuckles): "What gave it away?" 

Marcy: "I don't know...Just a hunch." 

Marcy (Whimpers): "How bad was it?" 

Olivia: "It was pretty bad lots of people's homes and businesses have been destroyed." 

Marcy (Buries her head in a pillow): "God, This is all my fault." 

Olivia: "I wouldn't say that. If left unchecked that cobra would have damaged the city even more than it already is." 

Marcy: "HOW IS THIS A GOOD THING!? I STILL DESTROYED A PART OF A WHOLE CITY!?" 

Olivia: "Your heart was in the right place dear, I do agree that you had a hand in the destruction, But you only wanted to help and you are still only learning how to use your powers correct?" 

Marcy: "How did you know!?" 

Olivia: "Know what?" 

Marcy: "About how I'm still learning about how to use my powers?" 

Olivia: "This is no slight against you of course but the destruction you caused felt sloppy." 

Marcy (Covers herself in a blanket): "Oh." 

Olivia: "But my point is, Yes you did cause some of the destruction but you are only learning, Besides we can pay for the damage we're rich after all." 

Marcy (Chuckles weakly): "Yeah I guess." 

Marcy: "But I don't want to use the king being rich just to escape the consequences. That just isn't right." 

Olivia: "I agree I know someone who can help you I'm sure she will help." 

Marcy gets up from her covers and hugs Olivia. 

Marcy (Sniffles): "Th-Thanks Olivia." 

Olivia (Chuckles softly): "Anytime." 

Las Angles,  USA,  Earth,  2019 

A mysterious vigilante holds a thug by his collar over a roof.

Thug: "PLEASE LET ME GO! I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!" 

Red hood: "Well if I'm not mistaken your gang is a part of the largest meta-human trafficking ring in the country if I'm not mistaken?" 

Thug: "Meta-Human? What the fuck is a Meta-Human!?" 

Red Hood briefly drops the Thug's collar but grabs it again. 

Red Hood: "Now I'll ask one last time." 

Red Hood (Pulls out a picture of Marcy): "Where is she!?" 

Thug (Cries): "I DON'T KNOW! I HAVEN'T SEEN HER IN MY LIIIIIFE!!!" 

Red Hood: "Alright then." 

Thug: "NO WAIT!?" 

Red Hood drops the thug and he screams as he falls to his death but a blue blur catches him before he falls. 

Superman: "Now what do we have here?" 

Red Hood: "Way to reign in our parade supes." 

Superman drops the thug on the roof. 

Thug: "SUPERMAN!? HE'S REAL!?" 

Red Hood: "Oh yes he's very real." 

Superman: "I think I will take over from here." 

Superman carefully grabs the thug and begins to take him to a different building. 

Superman (Sets the thug down and sits next to him): "Now, You mind telling me why you were being interrogated, son?" 

Thug (Takes a deep breath): "Ok." 

Thug: "I didn't want to be a criminal, Christ does anyone want to be a criminal? Well, I didn't want to but I didn't have a choice, You see I got a wife and two beautiful daughters who need me and we need money badly. Like do you have any idea how much it costs to live in this fucking state?"  

Superman: "Yeah California is one of the most expensive states in the whole union to live in." 

Thug: "Look let's just say some junkies offered me a boatload of money if I agreed to stand guard for them. And look how that fucking turned out." 

Superman: "I know you did what you felt like you had to do to provide for your family but there are other ways to achieve that." 

Thug (Scoffs): "Like what!?" 

Superman (Holds a rock out): "You ask for help." 

Thug: "How the hell will a rock help me?" 

Superman (crushes the rock in his hand turning it into a diamond): "Sometimes you don't have to break things to make your life better, You just change them to make someone else's life better."

Thug (Being given the diamond): "For...For me?" 

Superman: "Should be more than enough to get you and your family back on your feet." 

Thug: "How...How do I pay you back?" 

Superman: "You can pay me back by being a friend." 

Superman gets up and flies away but not before returning the thug to the city below.

Superman finds Red Hood again the two men stare daggers at each other before Superman lands.  

Superman: "Jason." 

Red Hood: "Clark." 

Superman: "What the hell was that!?" 

Red Hood: "Doing my job." 

Superman: "You don't need to go that far, especially with just some scared street thug!?" 

Red Hood: "Look supes, You're from metropolis and nothing happens there, The worst thing to happen to Metropolis is a cat stuck up a tree. I'm from Gotham and being a boy scout doesn't help anyone in fact in Gotham being a boy scout will only get you killed." 

Superman: "What happened to you isn't an excuse to hurt people!" 

Red Hood (Voice full of venom): "LOOK KENT! You have power You're a god amongst men you can do whatever you want when you want it! Most of us don't live like that and we have to live in fear every day of being killed or worse!... Left behind." 

Superman: "I know what happened to you Jason and you have every right to be angry and hurt. But you can't let that pain control you or let it spread to others." 

Red Hood: "Y'know...He didn't visit me once when I was recovering. I'm only doing this because I need time out of Gotham I'm not doing it for you or Bruce." 

Red Hood: "And I'm more than happy to let this little...dispute of ours slide on one condition..." 

Red Hood (Body slams Superman and pins him to the floor holding a gun to his head with Superman staring stoically at it): "Don't get in my way again." 

Superman: "I'm not afraid of guns." 

Red Hood (About to smoke bomb away): "You will be." 

Red Hood gets off of Superman and throws the smoke bomb away allowing him to disappear with Superman coughing for a moment as the smoke dissipates. 

Superman: "I hate it when they do that." 

Newtopia,  Amphibia,  2019 

Lady Olivia knocks on the door with Yunan opening it. 

Yunan: "Oh hey liv." 

Olivia (Sighs): "General Yunan." 

Yunan: "You gonna come in or-"

Olivia: "Yes, We have important matters to discuss." 

Yunan: "I got coffee if you want it Liv?" 

Olivia: "You know I don't drink that filth." 

Yunan: "Ugh tea drinker." 

Olivia sits down with Yunan filling up a cup of coffee.

Olivia: "I've only heard about how bad the damage is but haven't seen it yet so..." 

Yunan (Take a sip of coffee): "It's pretty bad liv like really bad, Did the city council tell you when the southern tip can be rebuilt?" 

Olivia (Sighs): "It will be decades to get it all repaired if they can be believed." 

Yunan (Sighs): "Phoo, Hard to believe such a sweet kid could cause that much destruction." 

Yunan (Awkwardly): "You don't visit unless you want something from me so what is it?" 

Olivia: "I want you to train Marcy." 

Yunan: "Really?" 

Olivia: "Yes really." 

Yunan: "No offense liv but how can I train her? I can't fly or lift monsters with one arm. Not to mention she could probably break every bone in my body without even meaning to." 

Olivia: "I don't mean teach her how to use them. I mean teach her how to be disciplined and restrained." 

Yunan: "Okay...I can do that." 

Yunan: "Buuuut! What do I get out of it?" 

Olivia: "I'll pay you." 

Yunan: "We get paid pretty much the same amount liv that ain't going to work." 

Olivia: "Ok, Then I'll go out with you then." 

Yunan: "Wait what?" 

Olivia: "It's about time I took you up on your offer." 

Yunan: "Liv I know you aren't really into me, You're really going to take me up on something I said two years ago?" 

Olivia (Leaving the apartment): "Well then I'll pick you up at six if that sounds good." 

Yunan (Blushing): "I uh...Yeah sure." 

Olivia: "Y'know I could never understand why you still live in a crummy apartment. You said it yourself we get paid the same amount you could probably buy a mansion if you want." 

Yunan: "I've got a lot of army stuff on my plate and it's kind of overwhelming so I try and make things small when I can." 

Olivia (Gets up and starts closing the door): "Well I know someone else who would like to hear that from you." 

Olivia closes the door and leaves and Yunan does a little air fist bump in celebration. 

In the sewers a cultist bows before his leader a Newt wearing a golden mask 

Gold Mask: "I gave you a direct order." 

Cultist: "I know my lord but I believed it was necessary."

Gold Mask: "Now why would defying my orders be necessary?" 

Cultist: "I wanted to observe the creature under the control of the army." 

Gold Mask: "I thought our spies said the creature joined the night guard?" 

Cultist: "Now that the public knows of Alberts's true nature, The King has now merged the Nightguard as a part of the army." 

Gold Mask: "Can you get to the point?" 

Cultist: "Most of the southern corner of the city was destroyed by the battle between the beast and an Emperors Cobra, The beast is formidable she is strong enough to lift the Cobra effortlessly and she could fly, Fly faster than any arrow and she could shoot fire from her eyes." 

Gold Mask: "She could shoot fire from her eyes?" 

Gold Mask: "You may go my friend but do not defy my orders again." 

Cultist (Bows): "Thank you for your mercy, my lord." 

The cultist retreats further down the sewers. Gold Mask gets up from his throne and retreats to his private quarters. His quarters are filled with historical artifacts from Amphibia's past. Gold Mask looks up at a mysterious mural. 

Gold Mask: "It is as I always feared...The Kryptonians have returned." 

The mural depicts various Newts and other Amphibians fleeing with one Newt being held in a chokehold being held by a Kryptonian in Kryptonian warrior armor with the symbol on the Kryptonian chest being the family crest of the house of Zod.
