Chapter Text
Things were weird. I supposed that was a given considering that I had died and then been brought back to life. I had been able to successfully stop the Anti-Monitor with the power of the paragons. I couldn't believe that my daughter was one of them, but she seemed to take after me a lot. The thing was I basically in charge of recreating the many universes. For starters, I wanted to bring back everyone who had lost their lives because of me that also wouldn't prevent me from becoming who I was. That meant that I wouldn't be able to bring my father back to life. I could however bring my mother, Tommy, Quentin and Emiko. Second, I kind of wanted everyone to be on the same Earth to limit interdimensional travel. They would be able to interact with one another a lot more easier.
"So you did it." The Monitor told me. "You've successfully restored the multiverse. Now you can move on to the afterlife."
Part of me wished that I could see all of my friends and family who died again, but I knew that wasn't possible. The only person that I would be able to see would be my dad.
"So how does it feel?" He inquired.
"I mean it feels good knowing that I saved and restored the multiverse, but I don't really want to leave." I admitted.
"I know. Saying goodbye is the hardest part. I've seen it happen dozens of times. I also had to say goodbye to all of the people that I loved to become what I am." He replied.
"Do you ever miss them?" I asked him. I couldn't help but think that people in charge of protecting the multiverse by yourself would be very lonely. I didn't think that I could do it.
"All of the time, but this is the life that I chose." He replied.
"You know sometimes I wish that I could do it all over again, but different so I wouldn't make some of the same mistakes." I stated. I knew that wasn't possible.
"You know there are many worlds out there." The Monitor declared. "Just because you cannot return to your own world does not mean that you would not be able to travel to one of the new worlds that has been created as a result of the multiverse being restarted. For example, to merge your friends' universes, new universes will have to take their places in the new multiverse."
"I don't think I would want to do that." I replied.
"It's too late, Mr. Queen." He said as I watched my body start to fade away. "Your wish has already been granted."
I couldn't believe it. I had no idea where I was going. I really did not like interdimensional travel. I supposed that I shouldn't have said something about wanting to do things over again. I could only imagine where I was going to end up but I couldn't help but think that it would involve me going back to Lian Yu. I wasn't able to see where I ended up because I blacked out.
While I was out, I started to think about my life and how I had gotten to where I was. I started out as overly-privileged boy. That title basically continued to stick with me through my 20s. I had been arrested several times but hadn't ever gone to jail because my family had money and none of the things that I had done were ever serious that money couldn't buy my way out of them. I had also knocked up one of my ex-girlfriends. She originally told me that she had lost the baby, but I later found out that my mother paid her to say that and then leave the city. I couldn't help but wonder if that was the change that I was going to experience. Perhaps I would have to learn how to be a dad at a younger age.
I had become a vigilante. Originally, I was only doing as a sort of Robin Hood-type, trying to take from the rich and give back to the less fortunate. However, the fact that I wore a green hood was purely coincidental because I had already the hood. Eventually, I wanted to defend the city and focus on saving everyone. Over the years, my team had grown, not just in my own city, but also though around the country and even throughout the multiverse. I had become the leader of a movement. It was something that I would have never seen myself doing as the 22-year-old who snuck his girlfriend's sister on a boat trip.
It was then that I saw a light and started to move towards it. I found myself waking up. I looked around and saw that there was Chinese on the walls. I had learned how to speak the little but still wasn't very good at reading it. I appeared to be hooked up to several machines and I deduced that I must have been in the Chinese hospital after being rescued. I had also gone to the hospital at home because my mom didn't trust the Chinese or something. It wouldn't cost me anything because the Chinese had free healthcare.
It was then that I saw her: someone that I hadn't seen in over five years. She was supposed to be back on my Earth, but we weren't on my Earth anymore.
"Olivia." She said. Olivia? It was then that I decided to look at myself. I could see the long hair and noticed my body was a lot smaller. I didn't see a mirror so I couldn't be entirely sure what I looked like, but one thing was definitely certain. I was a girl. If I ever saw The Monitor again, I was going to kill him.
So that's the prologue. Oliver is now Olivia but things may not go completely the same way that they did before? How will she deal with being a teenage girl and will she have to go to school at all? Olivia is played by Olivia Holt. Please don't forget to review.
