Chapter Text
Victoria stomps her way down the stairs and stops in the kitchen.
Max looks up from her cereal and smiles. "Good morning, Vic."
"Don't you 'Vic' me!" Victoria places her hands on her hips and frowns, making Max worry.
"W-what's wrong?" Max's voice wavers slightly from the anxiety, but Victoria doesn't notice.
"You stole my shirt, you little hipster!" Victoria looks around the room and shakes her head. "It obviously wasn't Chloe because her style is completely different and Kate isn't even in the country right now!" Victoria sees that Max is getting upset and she takes a deep breath, walking over and kneeling next to her. "I just want my shirt back, I was going to wear it today."
There is a yawning sound as Kate slowly walks in from the other room, scratching the back of her neck. She is wearing Victoria's shirt and a pair of shorts. "Oh, hey Vicky. Hey Maxy." She smiles at them warmly, but stops when she sees the looks on their face. "What's wrong?"
"Kate, when did you get home?"
"I came in last night. I didn't want to wake you so I just grabbed some clothes to change into and slept in the guest room." Kate sits down at the table and looks between her girlfriends. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
Victoria blushes and feels the sting of guilt in her heart. "Max, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have just assumed that you took my shirt." She gives Max a big hug and kisses the top of her head. "Can you forgive me?"
Victoria doesn't see Max blush, but Kate does and it brings back the warm, love filled smile to her face.
Max closes her eyes and leans into Victoria's hug. "Already forgiven."
They stay there like that for a moment before Victoria pulls back and sits down next to Max and across from Kate. "So..." She looks over at Max's breakfast. "Did you really just want to have cereal?"
Max shakes her head and rubs her elbow. "I didn't know where you put the waffle maker."
Victoria smiles and gets up, giving Kate a kiss on the forehead as she walks over to the cabinet and pulls out the waffle maker. "You two hungry for some waffles?"
"Yes!" Max and Kate speak up at the same time, making the three of them laugh as Victoria begins making breakfast for the three of them.
