Deleted Reactions

Summary:

While many secrets come to light in the grand theatre, there are some things that remain mysteries. Lost by time or an unwilling to learn.

Or they get deleted from the chapters because turns out the reds and blues CAN get picky about what they watch on the big screen.

So here's a collection of deleted scenes from the series so at least the readers can enjoy what the reds and blues refuse to. Honestly, you forget how picky those guys can get, it's a miracle they've lasted this long...

Notes:

this was Cut out from the 9th chapter that should be uploaded in a few hours from now. It's the fight between the Meta and Washington, except I used Eproth Studios reanimation to describe the scene, rather than the canon video with halo gameplay.
We ended up cutting it from the fic because we both agreed that when reading a reaction fic, people are mostly going to be focusing on the reactions of the characters, rather than the show we're all familiar with already.

However, I was pretty proud of this one, begin the first time I've written a fight scene before. Which led to the creation of this spin off 'Deleted scenes' fic.

Chapter 1: Meta vs Washington

Chapter Text

The camera zoomed into agent Washington on the other side of the room on the same level as Church and Caboose, holding what looked like a grenade in his hand.

“Look, there's Wash. I hope he gives us some kind of-”

“NOW!” Wash screamed, throwing a plasma grenade down, barely giving anyone else time to react.

Church slouched, lowering his sniper rifle in exasperation. “...Signal.”

“Move up!” Washington called out, jumping off the platform with his gun trained on the Meta. Washington only got a few shots in before the Meta turned around to face him.

With the plasma grenade headed straight for the Meta, it took out its weapon and swung it around, knocking the grenade out of harms way. Exploding in a blast of fire and sparks.

Washington used the distraction upon landing to give him a moment to adjust his position before The Meta proceeded to fire upon him. Dodging to the left, barely scraping past one of The Meta’s own grenades in the process.

Despite being on the low ground, Wash had a faster weapon than The Meta, giving him the chance to return fire before The Meta could reload. However, on the other hand, The Meta’s brute shot was a lot bigger than Washington’s battle rifle, acting as a decent shield as Wash gradually gained ground.

While also acting as a fairly decent shield, Wash might have forgotten that the brute shot was made for devastating melee attacks. As Washington approached, The Meta waited until he was close enough to take a swing at the Freelancer.

Once again however, while The Meta excelled at strength, Agent Washington excelled in speed. With one smooth movement, Washington tucked under the attack, and used the lack of a shield to shoot at the Meta’s exposed chest.

Barely flinching, The Meta was quick enough to switch tactics, grabbing Washington’s gun with its free hand, pulling the battle rifle out of Washington’s grip with ease and tossing it aside when the Freelancer tried to reach for it.

Weaponless, The Meta attempts to kick and overhead stab Washington out of its way, but Washington remains.

Wash attempts a strong blow to the Meta’s chest, but it fails to affect the brute.

The Meta throws a swing of its weapon to cut Washington in half,

Wash barely manages to leap over it.

With Wash managing to avoid two of The Meta’s brutal swings in a row, he quickly gains access to its back, where the charging cord was embedded into The Meta’s port.

With one harsh tug, Washington ripped the core out, a shower of sparks flying out from both the cord and the Meta himself.

Wash took a moment to look between the cord and The Meta, thinking he had won the battle if The Meta’s armour was too powered down to move. a big mistake. The delay of thought gave The Meta time to recover and finally land a blow on Washington, hurtling him towards the fence in front of the generator it was using to charge its equipment.

Collapsing to the floor from the impact, we see a quick POV from Washington’s perspective as he frantically looks over to where The Meta is preparing to finish him off, leaping into the air to put more force on the impacting fall of his blade.

Wash was lucky there was enough space to roll away.

Scrambling to stand back up, The Meta inexplicably pulls the Bruteshot out of the floor, and sheaths it onto its back. Choosing to fight more fairly with the other Agent.

The Meta attempted to kick Wash back down again, the freelancer nimbly moved out of the way.

Washington sidestepped another punch to the side, throwing his own in return.

The Meta mirrored his dodge, using the Agent’s fumble to deck Wash in the face.

Blinded by the unexpected assault, Wash didn’t see when The Meta managed to reel its hand back to clock him in the stomach with such an intensity he was sent flying into the air, high enough for The Meta to violently grab Wash by his foot to throw him back down to the earth.

Conveniently, Wash managed to land right where his battle rifle had been thrown moments earlier.

Weakened by the attack, Wash did his best to crawl towards his weapon, missing the fact that The Meta wouldn’t give him the advantage.

With a powerful swing of its foot, the Meta kicked Washington back to the fence. Stumbling backwards, Wash hit the fence with a loud ‘clang’ of the chain links, sinking back down to the floor.

Picking him up by his neck, The Meta refused to let Washington go. Holding him higher than even The Meta stood. Wash would not survive this encounter.

Except, the Meta failed to calculate something. While Agent Washington did not manage to get his hands back on his primary weapon, he did manage to grab something possibly even better.

Washington jabbed The Meta with the sparking charger in its sensitive neck, violently electrocuting it.

The Meta surrendered, pushing Washington through a hole in the fence, where he only managed not to fall into the pit of the massive generator thanks to the charger he was still holding onto.

Not taking the moment of freedom for granted, The Meta let out an inhuman snarl, turning around sharply to run out of view.

Climbing back up from the pit, Washington cast a look up towards Church’s position. “Don't just stand there, after it!” He shouted, forcing himself back up to his feet.
