Chapter 1: Protect the Boy
Chapter Text
Four months, Sam couldn't believe it had been four months since the Autobots defeated the Decepticons once and for all. Many were still on the run, but the remains of NEST were going to hunt them down. But Sam was done with the alien war, the world finally recognized him for what he had done for them, even getting a house in the woods from the government. He was a hero to many, but a friend to only a few. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Ratchet were still great friends to him. All of the Autobots were, but it was mainly those three who he had a close connection with. Especially Bumblebee, his guardian.
Though he had not seen his old friend in so long, as he was away with NEST, dispatching the remaining Decepticons still out there. Or so he thought, as he sat on the couch of his new house with his now fiancé Carly Spencer. The two watched the news daily, awaiting any new words on the Autobots and NEST. It had become something of a habit now, even though most days it said nothing, as it was a black ops unit after all. The two would still tune in.
But on this day, four months after the end of the Battle of Chicago. That the news announced the end of NEST and the disbandment of the team after public opinion on them had declined. Sam and Carly were surprised, but anger soon filtered through Sam's vein's.
"How can they do that!" Sam cried, "after everything the Autobots have done for humanity and they just disband them, just like that? Who will hunt the remaining Decepticons?"
"Well hopefully they find a suitable replacement for them." Replied Carly as she crossed her arms, "because I want a safe world for our kids."
Sam's eyes widened, "whoa, whoa, whoa," he said, standing up suddenly. "What are you talking about? I've used protection Carly, I swear."
Carly burst out laughing at her lover's sudden reaction. "I'm not pregnant Sam, I mean for when we ... hopefully settle down and have some."
Sam breathed a huge sigh or relief as he sat back down, "yeah right, I knew what you meant. Hopefully the world will be safe for them when we have them. But not right now."
"Right, I'm not ready for them right now." Carly smiled back before a car's horn could be heard outside.
Sam and Carly looked out of the window of their home, seeing a familiar yellow Camaro outside. Sam instantly ran out of the home and towards the car.
"Bumblebee!" He cried, "how have you been man?" He asked as Bumblebee beeped happily.
"Bumblebee, it's been awhile." Said Carly as Bumblebee transformed to robot mode.
Bumblebee nodded in response before Sam spoke again.
"Bee, I'm sorry for what happened with NEST."
Bumblebee shrugged his shoulders, "ah it's alright," he said through his radio voice.
"So ... where are the other Autobots? Like Prime and them?" Asked Carly.
"Homeless with Prime," was all Bumblebee said.
"Damn, they're really treating them like that Bee?" Asked Sam as he crossed his arms.
"Unfortunately," Bumblebee replied.
"Well ... you're always welcome to stay with us." Replied Sam before Bee nodded with excitement.
Carly was about to argue, but decided against it, knowing she would definitely lose the argument. So for now, she would allow Bumblebee to stay with them, unless Optimus called him away.
...
Which is how things remained for another few months, nothing was heard of the Autobots, and during that time. Bumblebee would wait outside in robot mode, staring up at the stars, as if waiting for a message from Optimus. But none ever came. Sam would sometimes wait outside with Bumblebee on these nights, neither talking, just star gazing.
But this lifestyle would change, as nothing can last forever, on this day Sam was sleeping soundly while Carly was in the bathroom. Seemingly checking something, she then suddenly burst outside of the bathroom. Squealing loudly as she jumped onto Sam's back, startling him awake.
"God Carly!" Cried Sam as he flipped over, "what ... what is it?" He began to rub his eyes before seeing what Carly had in her hands.
"I'm pregnant Sam," she smiled as Sam's eyes lit up.
"Y-you're kidding," he replied before happily embracing Carly in a kiss. He then broke away. "I need to tell my parents and Bee."
Before he could leave Carly stopped him, "I'll tell Bumblebee, you tell your parents."
"Alright babe, my mom's gonna freak." Chuckled Sam as he rushed downstairs before dialing his parent's home phone number.
Strangely the phone went directly to voice mail, so Sam left as a message instead, not telling them about the pregnancy but merely telling them something amazing had happened and to call him back when they got it. He soon met with Carly in the hallway, who asked Sam what his parents had said.
"Nothing, they're probably asleep. Happiest day of their life and they're asleep." Sam replied as Carly chuckled. The two then quickly went to Bumblebee in the home's garage, but he appeared worried. Something Sam and Carly both noticed. "Bee, what's wrong?" Asked Sam.
Bumblebee then played the message he had received from Optimus Prime. "Calling all Autobots: we are under target attack, cease all contact with humans." Was all it said as Sam and Carly looked stunned.
"Target attack?" Asked Sam, "what does that mean?"
Bumblebee looked Sam dead in the eyes, "mean's we're on our own chief." He said through the radio as the color drained from Sam's face as he and Carly embraced Bumblebee in a hug.
Suddenly, the sounds of vehicles approaching the home could be heard. Carly headed outside and saw a handful of black SVU's approaching the home.
"Sam, look." She said as Sam headed outside, quickly knowing what this could mean.
"Bee," he said, turning towards him. "You're gonna need to leave, you can't stay here anymore."
"But ... what about you?" Asked Bumblebee.
"We'll be fine Bee, but you need to go." Replied Sam.
Bumblebee nodded reluctantly before transforming and leaving the garage he was in. But Bumblebee didn't go far, only driving a certain distance before stopping and watching Sam and Carly intently, waiting to see what would happen.
Sam and Carly approached the cars as they skidded to a stop on the grass. The men inside, all wearing all black uniforms, stepped out. The leader approached Sam, flashing a badge briefly before putting it away.
"You're Sam Witwicky, correct?" Asked the man.
"Yeah, who are you?"
"My name's James Savoy, I'm a federal agent with Cemetery Wind. We hear you've got a bit of a bug infestation, of the bumblebee kind." James smirked as he looked towards Sam.
"Well you must've gotten your facts wrong, cuz their isn't any bee's here."
"Come on, you can't tell me that he hasn't been here. We know of your relationship to him." James said sternly as he got in Sam's face, while Carly looked around worriedly.
"Savoy," said Harold Attinger, the leader of the unit from James earpiece. "Use that girl of his."
Suddenly an agent pushed Carly to the ground before pinning her there. Sam called out before being pushed to the ground himself, the sound of a gun reloading could be heard from behind him as James held a pistol to him.
"Now I'm gonna ask you this once, where is Bumblebee, Autobot scout." Said James as another agent held a gun on Carly's head. Both her and Sam crying out for them to stop.
Bumblebee instantly raced into action, his engine roaring loudly as he raced towards the group. He was in their sights before being blasted into robot mode and onto his back. He quickly got back up as everyone looked towards the figure of Lockdown. Slowly approaching from a distance, his gun head reloading.
"Bumblebee!" Cried Sam as Bee was shot again. Now unable to move as Sam was pushed back into the ground.
"Well ... now I suppose we don't need you Mr. Witwicky." Smiled James, "oh and it's nothing personal, I just hate alien sympathizers, waste the girl."
"No ... stop!" Screamed Sam as he and Carly looked into each other's eyes one last time before a bullet went through Carly's brain.
Killing her instantly as she stopped moving on the ground. Blood stained the dirt as Sam cried out in anguish. Tears poured from his eyes as he cried into the dirt.
"Good thing is, your parents don't have to waste money on a funeral, cuz theirs is already arranged."
"You ... you bastards!" Cried Sam before a cloth suddenly went over his mouth, after a few moments of squirming he went limp, his eyes now closed.
"What are you doing!?" Bellowed the voice of Lockdown as he approached the humans, now with his head returned to normal.
"Maybe this guy can bring out Prime, you never know." Replied James as Lockdown nodded.
"Maybe human, maybe." Lockdown then approached the injured Bumblebee, who squirmed on the ground. "I almost feel sorry for you Bee, the trouble with these humans, is they will always betray you. I almost agree with the Decepticons on this, heh ... almost."
"N-no ... you're wrong!" Cried Bumblebee as Lockdown chuckled.
"Whatever, in any case now comes the fun part. Where is Optimus Prime?"
"What ... do you want with him?" Bumblebee asked.
"Let's just say I have a contract I need to complete, now where is he?"
"Don't know, but I'll never talk anyway."
Bumblebee then transformed his arm into a cannon before blasting Lockdown back and racing away in vehicle mode.
"Dammit!" Cried Lockdown before he glared daggers at James. "Next time cripple the target, then they can't fight back."
"Hey! I thought your job was to hunt them down, maybe you aren't as good as you think you are."
Lockdown now fully turned to face James, his green eyes piercing into James own eyes. "Be careful with your words human scum, as although I have a contract with your boss. I have no such contract with you, besides contracts are like humans."
"Oh yeah? In what way?"
"They expire," replied Lockdown before he transformed to vehicle mode and raced away.
As Sam was carried into one of the SUV's and Carly was carried into the house, in order to make it seem like Sam had killed her suddenly. But both Sam and Bumblebee knew the truth. Which is why, once Bumblebee was far away from the scene, he knew exactly what to do. Putting out a signal that the other Autobots could detect. It was a message in Cybertronian Code, telling the Autobots to meet him at an abandoned power plant a few hours away from his current location. On his way to the location, Bumblebee found and scanned an old black and yellow 1967 Chevrolet Camaro.
...
Once at the location, he waited inside of the power plant, which was big enough for even someone of his size to fit in. He waited and waited, wondering if anyone would get his message, or if anyone was still online. That was when he heard the sounds of vehicles approaching, he was worried it was Cemetery Wind, but instead it was Ratchet, leading the Autobots Topspin, Roadbuster, Leadfoot, Mirage, Hound, Drift, and Crosshairs. Their vehicles roared towards him before stopping and all transforming into robot mode.
"Guys!" Called Bumblebee as he embraced them all, happy to see they were still online.
"It's great to see you too kid," replied Ratchet as he broke the hug.
"Wait ... where's Prime and Sideswipe?" Asked Bee.
"Don't know," replied Hound as he smoked his cigar, "but Optimus put Ratchet in charge while they were away, dealing with the humans."
"Scum," added Crosshairs, "dirty traitors is all they're good for."
"Patience Crosshairs," said Drift, "if I remember correctly, these humans used to be our allies."
"Yeah, key word being used to, Drift." Crosshairs retorted.
"That's why I need your guys help," said Bumblebee, "they've got Sam."
All of the Autobots, aside from Hound, Crosshairs, and Drift gasped at the mention of Sam.
"Who's Sam?" Asked Hound.
"An old human ally of ours," Replied Ratchet, "where are they keeping him?"
Bumblebee shrugged his shoulders, "don't know, some guys called Cemetery Wind have him."
"Then that's where we're going, to get the little bugger." Said Leadfoot.
"Well you can keep me out of it, I'm staying right here." Said Crosshairs as he crossed his arms.
"Then do that wuss," replied Hound, "this mission is for the big boys only." He then slapped his chest to add to his comment.
"I think I'll stay behind too," said Ratchet, "just in case anything goes wrong, the Autobots need a leader, and Prime said it should be me."
"Makes sense," replied Mirage, "then I'll go with you Bee." Mirage added as he put a hand on Bumblebee's shoulder.
"We're coming too," said Leadfoot as he smashed his fists together, "all of us Wreakers."
"How bout you Hound?" Asked Topspin.
"Nah, I think I'll stay back with Ratchet."
"Same with me," added Drift.
"Then it's settled," said Leadfoot, "me, Topsin, Roadbuster, Mirage, and Bumblebee will go rescue Sam. And I suppose it only makes sense that you lead us Bee. Since he is your friend."
Bumblebee nodded excitedly, "then let's rock," he said, "Autobots: transform and roll out." He said, using Optimus voice before transforming into vehicle mode.
The group could only chuckled as they transformed into vehicle mode themselves and raced away with Bumblebee.
Chapter 2: A Trap, Set by Humans
Notes:
Note that I don't own Transformers. All characters belong to Hasbro. Nothing besides the plotline of this story is my own. Also note that the beginning of this story is entirely my own head cannon on the events leading up to Age of Extinction, as even after almost ten years we still don't know everything that led to that movie taking place.
Chapter Text
Images flashed through Sam's vision, the happiest moments of his life with Carly and Bumblebee. Before they transitioned to one's of Carly's death and Bee's encounter with this mysterious Cybertronian bounty hunter. Sam didn't know his name, but he knew his face, he wanted Bumblebee dead. And Sam wouldn't let that slide if he was given the chance to defeat him. He already helped kill Starscream, so what made this guy any different?
But before Sam could begin to image what he would do to the Cybertronian, and to this Special Agent Savoy. For killing his wife, he was awoken. Sitting in an empty and silent gray room. A single light hung from the ceiling as he sat, tied to a metal chair before a metal desk and a set of metal chairs at the other end of the table. He tried to free himself, but found his limbs weak. Unable to build up the strength required to move.
That was when the dark brown door to the room opened, in stepped Savoy, and an older man. The older man shut the door as Savoy sat down, Sam never took his eyes off of him. Glaring daggers into whatever soul this monster had. The older man then sat down next to Savoy before joining his hands and putting them on the desk.
"Hello Sam," smiled the older man as Sam glared at him, "my name is Special Agent Harold Attinger, this is my partner, Special Agent James-"
"I know who the fuck you are," replied Sam.
"Oh yeah ... I suppose you do," chuckled Harold.
"You think this is funny? You killing my wife is funny to you?" Asked Sam bitterly.
James was about to stand up before Harold held a hand to him, telling him to stay seated.
"Now look Sam, I'm sorry about your wife, that was completely not my call and I apologize for it."
"If you were so sorry you wouldn't have had her killer right in front of me."
Harold sighed loudly before looking Sam in the eyes. "Okay then, I'm just going to get to the point. Our associate, Lockdown, wants Optimus Prime. And you are going to help me get him."
"Like hell I will." Replied Sam.
"I figured you were going to say that," smirked Harold. "Which is why we've gathered the last remaining bits of your family."
Sam's eyes widened, "what?"
Harold chuckled, "yeah, your parents."
"You bastards ... what did you do to them!?" Cried Sam.
"Nothing yet," replied James, "and nothing will happen to them or your alien friend if you cooperate with us."
"Why Optimus? Why him specifically?"
"Even I don't know that," replied Harold, "all I know is that Lockdown want's him. And he will get him." Harold said, his smile now long gone.
"What's stopping you from just killing me and my parents after all of this is done?" Asked Sam.
"Nothing really, but we're extending our hand to you for your service to our country." Replied Harold, "I've served mine for twenty-five years, so I know someone who's saved the world three times should get something."
Sam gritted his teeth at Harold, "yeah?" He asked, "and what might that be?"
"A new life, a new woman even. We can make it happen." Replied James, "all we need is Prime."
Sam looked at his legs, knowing that he and his parents, if they weren't already dead. Would die if he helped them, but he knew Bumblebee could most likely survive. He was a survivor after all, even outliving Prime. So he knew that this maybe his only opportunity to save Bee and let him continue living. Sam looked up at the two agents, closing his eyes as he spoke.
"I'll do it," he said to which Harold smiled.
"Good boy, all we need is for you to make a call, send a message out to Prime. Telling him where you are, and that you have the other Autobots with you. Then we'll meet him at the location and do what needs to be done." Replied Harold as he and James stood up.
"Do what needs to be done?" Asked Sam as he looked at them, "they risked their lives to protect this planet and you treat them like trash. How is that right?"
"It wasn't their planet to begin with," replied Harold as he and James left Sam alone, to think of the past few hours.
...
Later, a state away from the headquarters Sam was being held in. Optimus and Sideswipe were driving down the dark road, it was now night, with only the streetlights lighting the way. Optimus was now without his trailer, with it being confiscated by NEST after it's disbandment. But to Optimus it was no loss, only the lives of his Autobots and Sam and Carly were on his mind. He and Sideswipe were on their way to meet up with them, they had a general idea of their location from Optimus last transmission with Ratchet, but that was hours ago. Suddenly, Optimus and Sideswipe both picked up a transmission. It was on an unknown frequency. It was Sam.
"Optimus," said the transmission, "it's me Sam, I'm with the other Autobots and we need your assistance. Please meet me here, Bumblebee is sending you the coordinates. Please hurry." Then the call went dead.
"Sounds fishy," said Sideswipe, "do you think we should go there?"
"If it is from Sam, and the other Autobots, I must go. Just to check on their safety."
"Then I'm coming too, as your first lieutenant I should accompany you."
"Then let's roll." Replied Optimus as he and Sideswipe raced down the road.
...
A couple hundred miles away from Optimus and Sideswipe, Bumblebee and his team picked up the signal. They instantly began racing towards the location, fearing that Optimus and Sideswipe would be killed by Cemetery Wind. The Wreckers talked amongst themselves about how they were going to rip the humans apart. But Bumblebee stayed quiet, hoping that Sam was alive.
...
Optimus and Sideswipe arrived shortly, before Bumblebee and his team were even close to the location. They drove to an abandoned shipping depot, their headlights lighting the road in front of them.
"Sideswipe, do you detect any energon signals?" Asked Optimus.
"No, I'm not, I'm picking up one life sign close by. Could be Sam."
"Or a trap," replied Optimus, "I'll check it out, I'm not risking your life solider."
Sideswipe didn't argue as Optimus drove away. He scanned the alleyways between the metal cargo boxes. Finding nothing before hearing a voice call out to him. It was nearly faint, but he heard it well. It was Sam, calling out Optimus name. Optimus quickly found him before stopping in front of him. He then transformed into robot mode, before crouching down to his level.
"Sam, it is good to see you my friend."
"You as well," replied Sam, "listen Optimus, I don't have much time."
Sam was then cut off by Optimus speaking, "where are the other Autobots?"
Sam froze, knowing Optimus was about to see through the trap before him. James began barking orders to him through the clear earpiece on his left ear. But Sam ignored them, he knew deep down in his gut that his parents were already dead. If he was going to die, so be it, Carly was dead too. So it wouldn't matter. But Optimus, Bumblebee, and the other Autobots were still online. And he was going to make sure they were to stay that way.
"Optimus," Sam said as Optimus moved in closer to his face.
"Yes Samuel," Optimus replied.
"It's a trap," he said as Optimus eyes widened.
"What?"
"It's a trap! Run for it!"
"Shit!" Called James from his group's set up, only a few yards away from the scene. "Move in men!"
Optimus extended a hand out to Sam, so he could come with him. Before being shot through the right pectoral of his chest. The bullet went through his back as he groaned in surprise and pain.
"Optimus!" Screamed Sam as tears began to form in his eyes.
Optimus stumbled, trying to retrieve his shotgun that he stole from Megatron during the Battle of Chicago. But he received another blast, this one to the shoulder, knocking him to the ground on his chest. Sideswipe, upon seeing this, instantly went into action.
He raced towards him before transforming to robot mode. "Optimus!" He called as he took cover behind a tower made of metal cargo boxes. "What's happening?"
"It ... it's a trap!" He called, as energon dripped from his lower lip. "Retreat with Sam! That's an order!"
"No Optimus! I'm not leaving you!"
"No!" Cried Optimus, "Sam ... run!" He called before the ground below him erupted in an explosion.
Optimus flew back, nearly missing Sam as Sam rolled and took cover. The helicopter began to fire multiple missiles at Optimus, most of them hit him and caused energon to pour out of him as metal parts went flying. One of the missiles went inside of his chest, but didn't explode. Optimus instantly fell to the ground, in pain, as he quickly realized that he was losing power.
Sideswipe knew he had to act, and thus listened to his commander's orders. So he instantly jumped onto Sam and transformed to vehicle mode, the process surprising and shocking Sam. But Sideswipe ignored his screams of terror before he drove away. Lockdown began to approach Prime's barely moving body as he tried to crawl away.
"You won't get away that easily," said Lockdown as he transformed his right arm into a cannon and fired at Sideswipe.
"No!" Screamed Optimus as he was powerless to stop Sideswipe from being blown into robot mode.
Sam went flying as well, rolling on the ground as he tried to stop himself. Sideswipe then skidded to a stop, before firing back at Lockdown.
"Sam! Run!" He called as Sam did just that, getting rid of the earpiece as he ran away.
Sideswipe continued to fire, but Lockdown managed to dodge the blasts before firing at Sideswipe. The shot going through his left shoulder, he fell to the ground before being fired upon by the humans guns, rocket launchers, and the helicopters missiles. Sideswipe begged them to stop as he fired around himself, hitting and killing some of the humans. But it was all in vain as he was blown to pieces, writhing on the ground as energon and metal bits covered the ground.
Lockdown approached the Autobots first lieutenant, not saying anything before stabbing his knife arm into Sideswipe's chest. Sideswipe groaned in pain, he wanted to retaliate, but wasn't able to in his weakened state. Lockdown then ripped Sideswipe's Spark out of his chest, Sideswipe fell limp as Lockdown collected his Spark in his arm.
Optimus saw him go offline, he bowed his head in shame for not protecting him and in respect as he joined the Well of Allsparks. Where his fellow first lieutenants, Ironhide and Jazz rested. Optimus wanted to fight Lockdown, but knew he couldn't, so he transformed into vehicle mode with his limited strength and began to drive away. Hoping he could retrieve Sam, but Lockdown had already cornered him against a metal cargo box.
Optimus knew he was too late, and wouldn't be able to help his human ally as Lockdown aimed his arm cannon at Sam. Now this is where Sam would've died in another timeline, but this is not that timeline. This is a different timeline, where Sam did not meet his maker at this moment. As before Lockdown could fire, Bumblebee suddenly jumped onto Lockdown's back. Causing Lockdown to miss Sam, and allowing him to run.
Bumblebee was quickly thrown to the ground before Lockdown was pelted with hundreds of bullets. The Wreckers began to barrage the bounty hunter with gunfire in their vehicle modes as he writhed in pain. Mirage then raced towards Lockdown, before stopping suddenly and firing his arm blades at the bounty hunter.
"You're not getting away bounty hunter!" Mirage cried enthusiastically, before Lockdown blasted him back.
As Bumblebee recovered, he saw Sam running. So he quickly transformed to vehicle mode and ran after him. He stopped right in front of him, turning and braking harshly to do so. He then opened his driver's side door and ordered Sam to enter. Sam did with no hesitation before Bumblebee drove away, informing the other Autobots about it.
"Sniper tag him!" Ordered James into his radio as he watched the other Autobots begin to retreat.
A nearby sniper did just that, shooting a tracking device onto the rear end of Bumblebee. Bee was unaware of it, as was the other Autobots who followed behind him.
"What about Optimus?" Asked Mirage.
"Prime can take care of himself," replied Leadfoot, "besides, he'd want us to get away with the boy."
"Are we sure we should leave him and the bounty hunter, Leadfoot?" Asked Topspin.
"Yes, I'm sure. Prime would want it that way. So let's return to base for now, cuz we're gonna need a good plan to take a bot like Lockdown down."
"Understood," replied Mirage, Roadbuster, and Topsin.
Inside of Bumblebee, Sam heard their voices over the communications line. He was still trying to catch his breath, not getting over the fact he nearly died multiple times in the span of a few minutes. Bumblebee tried to calm him down with his radio voice, which did indeed begin to calm Sam down. Before Sam burst into tears.
"Sam, are you alright?" Asked Bumblebee, "I'm ... sorry about Carly." He continued, remembering her death.
"Thanks Bee," replied Sam as he wiped the tears from his eyes. "Bee..." he continued.
"What is it Samuel?" Asked Bumblebee.
"She was pregnant Bee, we never got to tell you, but she was. Those bastards killed her anyway." Bumblebee said nothing, as the words were impossible for him to respond too. "Bee, when we get the other's together. We're going to kill every last one of them." Bumblebee hummed in agreement at Sam's words, as he and the other Autobots continued driving. Unaware they were being tailed by Lockdown and Cemetery Wind.
...
Meanwhile, Optimus had managed to sneak away from Cemetery Wind and Lockdown. This had angered Lockdown, who was now willing to take his anger out on the other Autobots. But Prime couldn't help them, he was too weak to help them. He knew he wanted more than anything to protect them, but he knew he was no use in his weakened state. So he continued driving, driving until he was running on fumes. Even scanning a new vehicle mode didn't help his situation.
He drove near an abandoned theater a couple hundred miles away. His vision was going black as he knew he was going into stasis. Before he went, the faces of his Autobots flashed through his processor. Both online and offline. Jazz, Ironhide, Ratchet, Leadfoot, Topspin, Roadbuster, Mirage, Wheeljack, Elita-1, and so many more before he saw Bumblebee. One of his closest allies, Optimus smiled at this, hoping that at least Bumblebee would survive this extinction event.
"Survive my Autobots," Optimus said to himself as his vision went black. "Survive." Any remaining lights on the truck he scanned went off. As Optimus faded, his life force remaining but he was powerless to do anything.
Chapter 3: The Next Stage
Notes:
Note that I don't own Transformers. All characters belong to Hasbro. Nothing besides the plotline of this story is my own. Also note that this is a shorter chapter than the other's, that is because I wanted to finish the current "head cannon" section of the story before Sam meet's the main AOE cast. Something I am looking forward to writing about.
Chapter Text
Sam and the Autobots returned to the power plant where the remaining Autobots were located. The one's who knew Sam were ecstatic to see him again, before falling silent at the mention of Sideswipe's death and Optimus being left behind. They mourned them both briefly before Sam told the Autobots that they should leave the area.
"Yes, Sam is right, we should leave this place." Replied Ratchet.
"But what about Optimus? We can't just leave him to die." Said Hound.
"We'll all die in vain if we don't leave here!" Leadfoot cried back at Hound.
"Autobots: roll out!" Cried Bumblebee before transforming back into vehicle mode.
"Wait, who put you in charge?" Asked Crosshairs.
"Nobody put you in charge here either." Added Hound.
"Everybody!" Cried Ratchet, "I feel Bumblebee should lead us in our time of need. Although he may be young, he is the most experienced Autobot here when it comes to humans and their way's of life. Even I, am not so experienced."
The Autobots didn't all agree with Ratchet's words. But they nonetheless trusted his logic due to his overall experience. That was when Drift noticed something on the back of Bumblebee's vehicle mode. He removed it before realizing what it was.
"A tracker, the humans know where we are located!" Cried Drift as the Autobots all transformed into vehicle mode, with Sam getting into Bumblebee's drivers seat. Before racing out of the power plant. Only to be met with Cemetery Wind, and Lockdown not too far behind them.
"Its an ambush!" Cried Hound as Leadfoot transformed.
"Go! We'll buy you some time!" He cried as the other Wrecker's transformed and began firing at the approaching black vehicles.
The Autobot's said nothing as they hurried away, Bumblebee finding an old 1967 Chevrolet Camaro nearby. Thus scanning it and taking on its form. The Wrecker's were quickly ambushed by Lockdown, with Leadfoot being knocked to the ground as Topspin and Roadbuster tried to fight back against the bounty hunter.
Lockdown retrieved his hook arm and stabbed Topspin in the shoulder with it. Throwing him aside before transforming his other arm into a gun and blasting Roadbuster onto his back. Leadfoot, seeing this, knew they weren't going to last long.
"Stop!" He cried, "please, we're Autobots!" He cried as he tried to fight back against the agents.
Leadfoot stood back up again, only to be blasted back to the ground by a helicopter. Crying out about how he was an Autobot. Before Lockdown approached Leadfoot and quickly blasted him through the head. Killing him instantly as Roadbuster noticed this.
"Topspin! Let's move! We need to retreat!" He called as he threw a grenade towards Lockdown and the agents, stunning them enough with the subsequent explosion for him to get over to Topspin's location. "Let's go, Topspin, we need to leave."
"But ... but we can't just leave Leadfoot." Replied Topspin.
"He's gone, he's already offline. We can't help him now."
Topspin nodded silently before shooting one of the helicopters down in a rage. Roadbuster quickly pulled him back before the two transformed into vehicle mode and escaped. Separating themselves from the Autobot group as a whole and disappearing into the night.
...
Sam and the other Autobots drove for hours, trying to widen the gap between them and Cemetery Wind and Lockdown. They eventually stopped in some woods, past the state line. There, Sam was let out of the Bumblebee, before he and the others transformed into robot mode.
"The Wreckers, I can't believe we just left them behind." Lamented Hound.
"Its what they wanted, Hound," replied Mirage. "They wanted to make sure we survived."
Hound then turned his attention to Bumblebee, "next time, be more careful Bee. I don't blame you, but you need to grow up a little."
Bumblebee nodded, knowing Hound was right. That, even though it was not directly his fault. Him getting tagged still caused the fate of the Wrecker's to occur.
"We should go our separate ways, at least for now." Said Ratchet, "that way they can not track us and hunt us down so easily."
The Autobots didn't like the idea of separation, but knew deep down in their Sparks, that Ratchet was right. It was in his nature to be always right. The Autobots then, one by one, said their goodbye's to each other. Hoping they would all see each other again. Sam was the saddest among them. Due to the Autobots being the only remaining family he had left in this world.
He watched all of them leave, before he and Bumblebee were the only ones remaining. He looked up to Bee, as Bumblebee looked down at him. "So Bee," he said, "what shall we do now?"
...
Many weeks had now passed. Sam was currently sleeping in the backseat of Bumblebee. Both sitting in an abandoned store parking lot in the middle of Texas. They had been evading the law and anything else they came across for sometime now. Always one step ahead of them. But Sam had become a different person than who he was before all of this. He was still sarcastic and funny. But Bumblebee had begun to notice a deep sadness within him, as well as a building anger for those who had done this to him.
Bumblebee felt the same way, he just wanted peace the same as Sam did. But now he had entered into a new war. Not a war with his own kind, but a war against the people he had been fighting for years of his lifecycle to protect. Sam then stirred awake, saying hello to Bumblebee, who said hello back. Sam then exited the car, stretching before resting on the side of Bumblebee.
"Hey Bee, still no word from the other's?" Bumblebee remained silent, "that's what I thought."
Sam began thinking, maybe he and Bumblebee were the only one's left. If this fact was true, he was going to have to make a plan to get revenge. That was pretty much the only thing on his mind. Revenge for those who had taken his Carly, his parents, and his friends away. What else could he think of? He had nothing left to lose other than Bumblebee. So to him, it didn't matter if he died in the end trying to get revenge. As everything right now seemed hopeless.
Suddenly, Bumblebee's radio spoke. It was a voice both had long since wished would be heard by them again. It was Optimus Prime, calling out to the Autobots. Before the transmission went silent.
"That was ... Optimus!" Cried Sam, a new wave of happiness flooded his body.
"Get in partner," replied Bumblebee as Sam instantly got into the driver's seat before Bumblebee raced away. Heading for Optimus current location.
Sam now felt in different, maybe things weren't so hopeless. Maybe with the help of a prime, he could get his revenge. But then, where to go after that? He didn't know, he was now even more conflicted about his current situation. He hoped that after reuniting with Optimus Prime, his feelings on the matter could become clear. Hoping for something better, was all he could do now.
Chapter 4: New Allies and Old Allies
Notes:
Finally I am able to get into the meat and potatoes of Age of Extinction with Sam Witwicky now involved with the story of the film. Also I love how much attention this story is getting, this originally started as a simple what if idea and has now become one of my most popular stories. So thank you all.
Also note that I don't own Transformers. All characters belong to Hasbro. Nothing besides the plotline of this story is my own.
Chapter Text
Bumblebee eventually arrived at a rocky hill, miles away from any civilization. There, he let Sam out of himself before transforming to robot mode and beginning to climb the cliff with Sam in toe. Both coming over the top to see Optimus transforming to robot mode, with Hound, Drift, and Crosshairs looking on. Sam and Bumblebee were both ecstatic to see many of their friends still alive. Though it did worry them to not see the Wreckers, Ratchet, or Mirage with them. However, their worry was overtaken by happiness.
"Humans have asked us to play by their rules, well ... the rules have just changed." Boomed Optimus as his troops stepped forwards.
"Human beings, bunch of backstabbing weasels." Commented Hound.
"Hound, find your inner compass, loyalty is but a flower in the winds of fear and temptation." Replied Drift.
"What the hell are you saying?" Hound retorted.
"It's a haiku," replied Drift.
Hound then grabbed onto Drift and pulled him towards himself. "Cut the crap before I drop a grenade down your throat."
Drift then pulled his swords and aimed them at Hound, "try it, you'll be dead."
"Oh, do it, please do it." Hound replied, his hands up in the air.
"Hey guys! Guess we've been missed, huh?" Called Sam.
"Sam, I am so glad to see you. You as well, Bumblebee." Optimus smiled.
"Yeah, you too big guy. Love the new look by the way. Its certainly different, but familiar."
Crosshairs suddenly pulled a gun from his coat, aiming it at a trio of humans who stood near Optimus. "Who's the stowaway's!?" He cried.
"Woah, what's with the gun!?" Cried the oldest human as he tried to put himself in front of the other two.
"Stop, Hound, both of you!" Cried Optimus as Hound aimed his own guns at the human trio. "They risked their lives for mine, we owe them."
Sam then approached the trio, as the rest of the Autobots regrouped with themselves.
"Nice to see some humans who are friends of the Autobots." Sam called as he extended his hand out to shake with the oldest one of the trio.
"Same here, the name's Cade Yeager." Said the older man as he shook Sam's hand. "This here is my daughter, Tessa, and her boyfriend, Shane."
"Nice to meet you guys, my name's Sam Witwickey." Sam replied as he then looked over to Shane, "you look a little old to be dating this girl, if you don't mind me saying."
Cade then put a hand to Sam's chest, "trust me pal, you don't want to get into that."
Sam glanced over at Shane and Tessa with a surprised look on his face before shaking his head. "At this point, nothing surprises me."
"So, stranger, how did you get associated with these guys?" Asked Cade.
"Heh, that's a long story too." Replied Sam.
"Well, we've got time for one." Said Tessa as she gave her father a dirty look, which Cade saw but ignored.
"Well, these guys landed at my house when they were looking for the Allspark back in 2007. Then we fought The Fallen, Megatron, Sentinel, and a bunch of other's. With Bumblebee being like my guardian. Then, these Cemetery Wind guys came looking for Bee and killed my wife, Carly, instead. Along with my folks. Then we escaped and have been living on our own. How about you guys?"
Cade, Tessa, and Shane were shocked and saddened to hear Sam's story. Yet, he told it with barely any emotion. As if it didn't bother him anymore. He spoke of it less like he accepted it and more like he didn't have the nerve to fell sad about it anymore.
"Wow, I'm sorry about that, Sam." Replied Cade.
"Don't be sorry, there's nothing you can do about it now." Sam replied somberly, "anyhow, what's your guy's tale."
"Well, I was an inventor from Texas. I bought that truck right there." Cade replied, pointing to Optimus. "I fixed him up, found out he was a transformer, and then got betrayed by a friend of mine. Who was killed by some bounty hunter transformer. Now we're on the run, the same way you are."
"Ah, I see." Replied Sam.
...
The hours ticked by, as the sun set. While the humans talked about their pasts and stories, with Sam telling them all about his adventure's with his Autobot friends. The Autobots reminisced about their stories and how they managed to stay hidden. With Optimus finally asking the question he and everyone else had been avoiding.
"So, there's been no sign of any others."
"No, we are all that's left." Replied Drift.
"They're picking us off, one-by-one." Crosshairs said.
"We're the pathetic dirty foursome, and you make five." Added Hound.
"So ... what should our plan be now?" Asked Shane, "Autobot witness protection?"
Sam was about to retaliate and snap at Shane, as Sam now realized that many more of his friends were dead. But before he could, Cade spoke up first.
"Hey, you're welcome to leave anytime." He said.
"Well, for the record, Super Dad. I'm not hiding out with you, I'm hiding out with that big guy." Shane replied as he pointed to Optimus.
"Sensei, with your fate unknown. Bumblebee has held command, despite his total lack of anything resembling warrior discipline." Drift spoke as Bumblebee rolled his eyes, "he's like a child."
"Bee don't!" Cried Sam as Bumblebee ignored him and turned to face Drift.
"This child is about to kick your ass," he said.
"He brings us shame," Drift chuckled, as Bumblebee charged at him. Only for Drift to wrestle with him for a moment while everyone watched. With it ending when Drift pinned Bumblebee down to the ground with a sword to his throat. "I see through this puppy dog eye's act of yours." Drift chuckled, "its beneath you." He then released Bumblebee as Crosshairs chuckled.
"Yes, I've been waiting for the moment that we dispatch each other so I can take charge with no trouble at all. Just me, reporting to me." Crosshairs smirked as he retrieved his guns.
"Sure look's like you've all been hanging in there well." Sam joked as Optimus stepped forwards.
"Autobots, Lockdown is hunting us, and humans are helping. We need to know why."
"Listen," Cade spoke up, "I don't know why but I think I might know about who."
Cade then retrieved a drone he had stolen from Cemetery Wind. Drift, upon noticing this, transformed into his vehicle mode before letting Cade inside. Cade then used Drift's holographic tech to display the memory of the drone onto a nearby cliff face. The video showed the agents of Cemetery Wind hunting down and killing Sideswipe, Ratchet, and Leadfoot.
"Aw, that's Leadfoot." Said Hound before he took his helmet off and put it to his chest in respect. "Savages."
Optimus shook his head in dismay as Sam looked on in horror. Watching more of his friends being hunted down and killed like mere animals. Cade then explained how he found that the drone belonged to a company called KSI. Which was also how the bodies of the Cybertronians were hauled off.
"So these government guys hunt you down and then pass you off to KSI?" Asked Shane.
"Seems like it," replied Cade as he exited Drift. "The companies located in Chicago could be where they were taken."
"No way to get inside without a battle," commented Hound as he blew smoke from his cigar.
"Well, what if you had some human help?" Asked Cade.
"What're you guys partner's now?" Tessa asked.
"Honey, we're targets now too and if we don't fight back we'll never get our lives back." Cade replied.
"I'm with you man, these guys need to pay." Added Sam.
"Autobots," began Optimus, "I have sworn to never killed humans."
"Big mistake," added Hound.
"But when I find out who's behind this, he's going to die."
...
The next day, the Autobots and humans, drove all the way from Texas to Chicago. Finding an abandoned church to hide out in while the humans scouted out KSI. They would watch the security or when any high ranking workers entered into the building. They had begun noticing Joshua Joyce enter into the building more frequently. Suggesting something was going on in there.
Indeed they were right, Joshua had secret plans inside of the building. He had workers building various different KSI drones, his crown jewel being a silver machine who would be the leader of his drone army.
"Here he is sir," said a worker who walked besides Joshua as the two entered into the building room of the machine. "Galvatron."
"I don't get it, why does he keep coming out like this? This is the fifth iteration."
"Just some bugs in the final rendering." Replied the same worker.
"I modeled Galvatron after Optimus Prime, why does he keep looking like Megatron!? Fix it!" Cried Joshua as he hurriedly left the room. "Oh, and fix that damn hole in the chest! I hate it!"
...
Meanwhile, Cade, Shane, and Sam were driving up to the entrance of KSI. Where the rendering for the drones vehicle modes were scanned. Bumblebee had helped scan them fake ID tags that would allow them to enter into the building. Their plan was to have them sneak inside and find something to blackmail the company to force them to give the group their freedom back. But as the trio waited, Cade glanced over to Shane in the backseat.
"What?" Asked Shane.
"About a month ago, I heard noises in my house. Was that you?" Sam looked over to Shane, trying to hide his laughter as Shane began to look worry. "Don't lie to me kid. Or I'll make a scene here." When Shane didn't say anything Cade prepared to get one of the guards attention.
"It was me, me, me." Shane replied quickly as Cade sighed loudly and Sam held his mouth to hold his laughter back.
Cade then had his ID tag scanned by a guard before he pulled forwards. "I'm literally going to kill you," said Cade as Sam burst out into laughter.
The group then drove into the scanning building. Driving Bumblebee into a room where a robot named Stinger was being built. There, Cade and Sam exited the car before Cade commented on how Stinger looked like Bumblebee himself.
"Well, at least they're making cooler cars than this." Shane said before Bumblebee transformed into robot mode with Shane inside. Causing him to be jolted and thrown about, but was otherwise unharmed.
"You talk to me like that!?" Cried Bumblebee as he held Shane by his leg.
"Help me!" Cried Shane as Sam convinced Bumblebee to put Shane down as people began approaching the room.
Bumblebee transformed back into vehicle mode as Shane tried to calm himself down. With Cade visibly not caring in the slightest. Joshua Joyce, surrounded by a handful of his workers, entered into the room before glancing over at the trio. He then called out to them before approaching them.
"What the hell's going on here?" Joshua asked as Sam and Cade tried to keep their heads down. "We're not scanning collector car junk, get this pathetic thing out of here."
"Will do, sir." Said Sam as Joshua then returned to his workers before continuing their scheduled tour. Bumblebee then transformed into robot mode as Sam called out to him. "You see how close that shit was, Bee?"
"Whatever," replied Bumblebee as he waved Sam off. Suddenly, the TV screen's began talking about how terrible Bumblebee's design was and how Stinger was better than him in every way. "Oh hell no!" Cried Bumblebee as he approached Stinger.
"Wait! Bumblebee, no!" Screamed Sam as Bumblebee knocked Stinger over in anger. The human trio silently panicked as they heard footsteps approaching.
"Stay here with Bee, Shane." Said Cade as he hurried away, followed closely by Sam.
"Wait what!?" Cried Shane as Sam shrugged his shoulders and followed after Cade.
Bumblebee then transformed back into vehicle mode as Shane looked around nervously. Before being spotted by the group of KSI workers.
"What did you touch!?" Cried the head worker as Shane mumbled.
"I told ya home boy! Can't touch this!" Bumblebee's speakers blared as Shane went pale.
...
Cade and Sam had quickly made their way to the melting room of KSI. There they discovered the grizzly sight of Ratchet's severed head being melted down. Sam nearly vomited at the sight before Cade calmed him down. Quickly taking out the Cemetery Wind drone he had stolen to give a live video feed to the Autobots. The group received the transmission, just as Bumblebee drove up to them with Shane in the front seat. Tessa noticed this and immediately got inside of Bumblebee before the group received the video from Cade.
"Alright, you guys see my camera?" Cade asked as the video feed began playing. "They're melting Ratchet."
Optimus instantly transformed to robot mode before smashing a light pole. "They slaughtered, Ratchet!" He cried, "I'm gonna tear them apart!" The Autobots then quickly raced away towards KSI after orders from Optimus.
...
As Cade continued filming the Autobot chief medic's corpse, a woman approached him and Sam. Commenting about how she thought the Autobots were just metal without a soul.
"No, there's more to them." Replied Sam, "they have soul's like ours." The woman then looked over to him as Cade tried to walk away. "I-I spoke to one, once." Sam chuckled.
"Well, now that we're running out of Transformium. We have to resort to hunting down evil old Decepticons."
"No, that's an Autobot." Replied Sam, "the one's who fought for us." Cade then tapped Sam on the shoulder, silently telling him that they should leave. Sam nodded before looking back over at Ratchet one last time. Remembering how much Ratchet had been there for him and the rest of the human race. Now he was reduced to a melted head. Used like a tool for human's. "Goodbye, old friend."
Cade and Sam began to walk away from Ratchet's head, before a voice called out to them to stop. It was a security guard, the two instantly ran upon seeing the man. Racing out of the melting room before being surrounded by multiple security guards in the hallway. The two were then taken up to an empty office, they expected to meet with Joshua Joyce, as he rode in the elevator on the way up. But instead they found Harold Attinger. Joshua left the trio alone, before heading downstairs.
"You again!?" Called Sam as he and Harold made eye contact.
"You know this guy?" Asked Cade.
"Yeah, we're very familiar." Sam growled as Harold chuckled.
"I shouldn't be surprised that you two have teamed up. But yet, here we are." Harold replied as Cade and Sam took a seat in front of Harold. All three sitting at a long meeting table.
"What do you want?" Asked Sam, "you've already taken everything from both of us."
"Not everything, I still need one more of your little alien friends." Smiled Harold coldly.
"Oh yeah? Who's that?" Asked Cade.
"Optimus Prime," replied Harold, "Now, you both still protect those left around you, that's admirable. Which means there is a version of this conversation where you both return to normal life."
"Admirable? You wanna talk about admirable when you sent some hired help to go kill my little girl?" Asked Cade, "or are you gonna man up and do it yourself?"
Harold smirked, "what's your preference? I'm only going to ask you both this once. Where is Optimus Prime?"
Optimus was closer than Harold originally thought. He and the rest of the Autobots were nearing KSI, with Bumblebee (now with a new SS-2014
2014 Chevrolet Camaro concept alternate mode) and Drift barging through the front wall of the building as Tessa and Cade hide away from the scene. Bumblebee and Drift then made their way up to the floor Cade and Sam were located at. With Bumblebee grabbing onto Drift in his helicopter mode and riding up the floors. Eventually smashing into the floor and rescuing Sam and Cade.
Meanwhile, Optimus, Crosshairs, and Hound then entered through the back of the building. Smashing their way into the lab area of KSI.
"Destroy the lab!" Cried Optimus as he, Hound, and Crosshairs began shooting around the lab and destroying it.
"Guys! It's me! Break me outta this Frankenstein box!" Cried the voice of an old ally of theirs, named Brains.
"Hey!" Called the booming voice of Joshua Joyce as he approached the Autobot's. "That's company property!"
"They're not your property!" Retorted Optimus, "they were my friends."
"Oh, you ain't talking so much now you got Hound in front of ya, huh?" Said Brains as he crawled on Hound's arm.
"Go ahead, show us your true colors once and for all." Replied Joshua.
"Just give me the word, I'll splatter him." Said Hound as Optimus put a hand in front of him.
"Why don't you tell Itchy Fingers here, that this is all of the spoils of war. Dead metal, innovation, what we do here is science because if we don't do it somebody else will. Because you cannot stop technology."
"We're not your technology!" Retorted Optimus as he kicked a desk threw a glass pane next to Joshua.
"I broke the code," replied Joshua, "I own your whole geno."
"The world will know what you're doing here." Said Optimus.
"The world? The world will approve." Replied Joshua, "we can make you now, don't you get it? We don't need you anymore." Optimus then fell silent.
"That was cruel," remarked Hound as Optimus glared at Joshua before huffing.
"Autobots, we're done." Said Optimus as he began to walk away.
"We're done? What? We're not gonna kick a little bit of ass?" Cried Brains as Hound and Crosshairs followed after Optimus.
"I've been itchin to kill something lately." Hound muttered.
...
Later, Joshua walked with Harold and a few other of his workers. Walking down a hallway as dozens of workers ran about due to the incident.
"This is our chance. We have to stop him, you have to stop him." Said Harold.
"It's never been tested in the field. Labs, military cites, but never on civilian grounds." Replied Joshua.
"Down there your lab was attacked, in a terrorist attack. This is now a CIA military op. You're indemnified, respond!"
Joshua, Harold, and his workers stopped walking as Joshua thought for a moment. "Bring Galvatron online." Said Joshua, as the worker hurried away.

Chapter Text
The Autobots were racing down the streets of Chicago, with all of the humans riding inside of Bumblebee. But little did they all know but they were being tracked. With Galvatron and Stinger in hot pursuit and preparing to intercept them.
"Let's show these alien terrorists, what an upgrade looks like." Said Joshua Joyce from inside of KSI headquarters. Watching the operators of the drones control Galvtatron and Stinger from the control center.
Galvatron rode ahead of Stinger, before being ordered to transform to robot mode. He deconstructed into a million tiny gray particles before reforming back into a robot and smashing through an oncoming car on the opposite side of the highway.
"Woah," called Joshua as he watched Galvatron then destroy two more cars in his path. "We are programming this, right?"
"Yes, mostly." Replied Galvatron's operator before he began firing at the Autobots.
Galvatron fired a couple cannon blasts at the team, which forced them to take evasive action to dodge the missiles. Drift, Crosshairs, and Bumblebee then began to race away in the opposite direction of Galvatron and Stinger. With Hound and Optimus right behind them.
"You gotta haul ass, Bee! Come on!" Cried Sam as Stinger and Galvatron chased down the Autobots. Firing another wave of missiles at the group.
The group managed to dodge the incoming fire, before it hit a truck ahead of them and blocked the road. The humans began panicking as the truck was going to slam into them. Fortunately, Bumblebee transformed and jumped to dodge the truck. With Optimus doing the same, as the other Autobots got cut off from the two and were being chased by Stinger. Bumblebee threw the screaming humans towards Optimus, as he barreled through another truck on the overpass over the highway.
Optimus then transformed into vehicle mode, as Bumblebee's legs got caught on the overpass. Before he fired a couple missiles from his arms at Galvatron. Who merely transformed from robot mode to vehicle mode to dodge them. Blowing past Bumblebee as if he was no threat.
"What was that!?" Bumblebee asked as Galvatron chased after Optimus.
...
"I don't like how this is looking, Harold." Joshua said to Harold from within KSI headquarters. "Innocent deaths are on my hands."
"You're making history, for your country, for your world. Innocent people die all the time." Replied Harold coldly.
...
Optimus continued racing away from Galvatron, dodging the missiles he fired at him. Even one hitting a passing car and flipping it. Before one struck underneath Optimus front wheel. Causing Optimus to jump and transform to robot mode. With Sam, Cade, and Shane exiting to the side as Tessa was thrown a few feet away with Optimus. Who skidded to a stop before smashing his foot into a car. Optimus then glared at Galvatron before equipping his battle mask and engaging in battle with Galvatron.
"Tessa!" Cried Cade as he tried to run for her, before Sam tackled him to the ground by the flipped truck. "What are you doing!?" Cade cried.
"Keeping you alive, dumbass!" Retorted Sam, "you won't make it to her with all that fighting!"
Cade then looked over at the fight between Optimus and Galvatron and realized Sam was right. Blaster fire and explosions went off around the area as Optimus and Galvatron wrestled with each other. Tessa hide by the destroyed car, before Cade signaled to her. With Sam and Shane behind him.
"Tessa! Run for the fields!" Cade called as Tessa nodded before trying to run towards them, before being cut off by Optimus slamming Glavatron into the ground in front of her.
Galvatron then kicked Optimus in the face before jumping at him, only for Optimus to stab his orange energon blade into the hole in his chest.
"You have no soul!" Optimus cried.
"That is why I have no fear," Galvatron replied, "and you die!" He continued as he threw Optimus back.
Sam instantly went pale at the voice, "that voice ... I know that voice!" Cried Sam nervously as before anyone could ask how he did and who it belonged to. A missile went through Optimus chest as he was standing over Galvatron, and punching his head into the asphalt.
Optimus cried out in pain as the humans looked over to see Lockdown approaching Optimus, with his ship in toe.
...
"What is that?" Asked Joshua's ex, Darcy Tirrel, as Harold smirked.
"That's my asset, pull Galvatron back." Harold replied.
"Do it," added Joshua.
...
Lockdown then fired into Optimus again with his gunhead mode. Knocking him to the ground in front of Tessa, who then quickly hid inside of the nearby car.
"Optimus! Optimus, get up, get up." Called Tessa as Optimus groaned on the ground.
"I can't, get out of here." He replied as Lockdown walked over to him, missing the humans who hid next to the other downed car.
"I feel sorry for you, Prime." Lockdown began, "your allegiance to these humans. The trouble with loyalty to a cause, is that the cause, will always betray you."
"Who sent you here?"
"Where do you think you came from?" Lockdown chuckled, "you think you were born? No, you were built, and your creators want you back. We all work for someone."
Lockdown then sent out a scout ship to capture Optimus, putting a metal net over him and the car Tessa was in. Before pulling both of them up and towards Lockdown's ship. Cade ran over to the net and tried to free his daughter but was unsuccessful. Falling to the ground as it continued to ascend into the air.
"Sam! Warn the Autobots!" Optimus cried as Tessa cried out for her dad. Before the two disappeared into the sky with Lockdown's ship.
"No!" Screamed Cade as he punched the dirt, with Sam and Shane looking on in sadness at the sight.
...
The drop ship then pulled into Lockdown's mother ship as it began to fly over Chicago. With Optimus being taken out and pulled by drones on a track.
"Take that human to the trash!" Called Lockdown as the car Tessa was in was being taken away in the opposite direction to Optimus and Lockdown. "Remember this ship, Prime?" Asked Lockdown. "Built for all you knights, you great crusaders. To explore the universe. Well, I've commandeered it. It's my personal prison now." Lockdown said as he and Optimus arrived at the Knights Temenos.
"You have disgraced it," said Optimus as he looked over at Grimlock, hanging upside down in a cage.
"Welcome to the Knights Temenos, Prime. Join your rebel and fugitive scum. It's for the rarest specimens, the worst of the worst. Its taken centuries, but I've collected all the knights. But you." Lockdown bellowed as he grabbed onto Optimus foot with his hook hand before placing him inside of one of the cells. Hanging him upside down.
"I'm slave, to no one." Said Optimus as Lockdown grabbed at his face.
"All this species mixing with species, the creators, they don't like it. They built you to do what you were told." Lockdown replied.
...
Meanwhile, the other Autobots in vehicle mode began approaching Lockdown's ship. Watching as people ran from it, fearing another Decepticon attack. While helicopters approached it, trying to get on board.
"Why hasn't it taken off yet?" Asked Sam, as he, Cade, and Shane rode inside of Bumblebee.
"I don't know," replied Cade, "Bee, you gotta get on it now!"
One of the helicopters approaching it had James Savoy on board. He and a handful of other Cemetery Wind agents entered the ship to meet with Lockdown.
"As much as I've enjoyed the hunt, I won't miss your wretched planet." Lockdown said, "our deal is done. One Prime, for one Seed." Lockdown then handed them a huge silver seed-like object. "Handle it with care," he called as Cemetery Wind agents wrapped it up in a black tarp. "I hope your species is ready."
"Don't worry about our species," replied Savoy.
"Farewell, Earth." Lockdown retorted before walking away from the agents.
Little did the agents or Lockdown know, but they were being watched by Tessa. Who had managed to escape the trash and who was now searching about the ship for both a way out and for Optimus Prime. Unintentionally finding Lockdown and the Cemetery Wind agents.
...
Outside, Sam, Cade, Shane, and all of the other Autobots stood by Lockdown's ship as it prepared to take off. Crowds of people ran from it as cop cars slowly backed away from it. As if taking in the scene.
"So, we going or not?" Called Sam.
"Well, it's a bad idea." Spat Hound, "but I'm all about bad ideas." He smirked.
"Then let's go!" Cried Sam as Bumblebee helped him and the other humans on board as the other Autobots followed behind them. All of their weapons drawn and loaded.
"Well, let's rock." Crosshairs muttered as he was the last to step on board.
The group managed to sneak onto the roof of the ship. With Cade noticing that Shane's worried demeanor.
"Hey, Lucky Charms." He called, causing Shane to turn to him. "You ready for this or what?"
"Yeah, I am." Gulped Shane as the group began to sneak inside of the ship.
"We're behind enemy lines now, Lockdown's ship has booby traps. Eyes open!" Called Hound before Crosshairs began listing off all of the traps in Lockdown's ship.
"Wow, that much, really?" Asked Sam as Drift nodded.
"Yes, we must be quick. We have the element of surprise, let's try to use violence as a last resort." Suddenly a tentacle emerged from a hole in the wall next to Drift. Surprising the samurai before he quickly recollected himself. Slicing the tentacle in half before stabbing his katana into the hole it emerged from. "I'll kill you! I'll kill you!" He roared while doing so.
"Hate those things," said Crosshairs.
"It's not alive anymore." Replied Drift as he backed away from the hole.
"Well, we looked, they're not here. Let's go." Crosshairs announced as the humans turned towards him.
"Hey, I'm not going anywhere without Tessa!" Cade called.
"Same with Prime!" Added Sam, as Crosshairs turned towards the two humans, putting his gun back into his coat.
"I'm unclear, what's in it for me?" Crosshairs asked.
"What's in it for you!?" Both Cade and Sam cried in unison.
Hound then suddenly appeared before Crosshairs, pointing a shotgun to his head. Crosshairs held his hands up in defense as he tried to back away from Hound.
"Easy, easy, let's use words." He said as Hound dug the shotgun into Crosshairs face.
"What's in it for you, is I don't kill ya." Hound remarked, "we're getting the boss back and the girl, copy?"
Crosshairs nodded as Hound pulled his weapon back. Allowing Crosshairs time to calm down before a thought occurred to him.
"Well then," Crosshairs began, "we'll need to sabotage something."
"Better hurry, because dark matter drives are preparing to take off." Added Drift as Crosshairs rolled his optics.
"Oh, wonderful." Crosshairs replied.
"I give us, ten minutes." Continued Drift.
"Is that what that sound is? That the engines filling up? Y-you're telling me that thing is flying out of here in ten minutes!?" Cried Shane as he began to panic.
"Yep," replied Drift.
"Ten minutes!?" Shane repeated.
"Could be nine, worse case scenario." Drift replied.
"Humans, search the cellblock for Tessa." Announced Hound, "we'll find the engine core."
"We're wasting time, let's move!" Cried Sam.
"Let's stop this nightmare ship." Added Crosshairs as the groups went their separate ways.
Sam, Cade, and Shane would look for Tessa. While Hound, Drift, Crosshairs, and Bumblebee went to look for the engine core to give them more time. It was a race to achieve their respective goals. The only question being, would they make it in time before Lockdown went into deep space?

"We'll never find her in here!" Cried Cade, as the human trio finished climbing onto a tall pillar overlooking a huge section of the ship. "It's like looking for a needle in a haystack."
"Tessa!" Boomed Shane, his voice echoing around the entire ship.
"Good job, yelling like that!" Called Sam. "Now everyone knows we're here." He then smacked the back of Shane's head as Cade began leading everyone in a different direction.
Directly across from the human group were the Autobots, with Crosshairs climbing up a wall and pulling out a piece of it.
"Hello, mama." Crosshairs smirked as the spaceship's anchors were fired. Latching onto the nearby buildings.
Something Lockdown felt from the cockpit. As he sat on his throne, he felt the ship lurch and shake about.
"Who fired the anchors!?" He bellowed, "whose on my ship, we have a loose prisoner!" Lockdown then called out for the Steeljaws near him to hunt down the escaped prisoners. With them snarling and running out of the cockpit.
...
In a far off section of the ship, Tessa continued running about. Hurrying away from some Steeljaws, before hiding in a cell. Escaping capture for the time being, as the Steeljaws left she heard Cade and Shane call out for her.
"Dad!" She called as the group heard her, hurrying in the direction they heard her voice coming from.
The was when they saw some of Lockdown's guards, Cade told the group to backup as they ran down a nearby hallway. Finding themselves in an empty hallway with giant statues.
"Well, shit. Now we're gonna get it!" Called Sam.
"No, there's gotta be something else here." Replied Cade as Shane leaned against one of the swords, causing it to move and the walls behind the statues to transform and reveal a huge stash of weapons.
"Weapons!" Cried Cade, "everyone grab some!"
The trio then began to take some of the smaller swords from the nearby wall, hoping to use them to be able to fight off the incoming guards. Suddenly, gunfire erupted behind them, causing them to take cover behind a small circular pillar in the center of the room. As Lockdown's guards then began to zero in on the trio's position.
"Alright, its now or never guys." Said Cade, "are you guys with me?"
"One hundred percent," replied Sam.
"What about you Lucky Charms?" Asked Cade, "you gonna bitch out on me?"
"No, I-I'm with you guys." Replied Shane, before a bullet struck the ground next to him. "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Cried Shane as he stood up, holding his arms with his weapon over his head. "I surrender! I surrender!" He cried, before throwing his sword to the ground. It then transformed and blasted a bullet at one of the guards, blowing a hole through his chest, and killing him as the other guards began firing at Shane, who took cover.
"What the fuck is wrong with you!?" Cried Sam, "you're such a little bitch!"
"I'm sorry, I'm so, so, sorry." Shane pleaded.
"Wait! How did you do that?" Asked Cade, referring to his sword firing a bullet.
"I have no idea!" Shane replied.
"Chick shit," Cade remarked as he found out how to transform his sword into a gun.
"Holy shit," said Sam as he did the same with his. "This alien shit kicks ass." He smiled as the two stood up from their hiding spot.
They began to fire at the guards, taking them out one-by-one. Leaving them as bloody messes on the ground, before the remaining ones retreated.
"Let's go!" Cried Cade as the group followed behind him. As they turned a corner and headed down another hallway they saw Tessa directly ahead.
"Dad!" She called.
"Tessa!" Cade cried as she ran right past him and embraced Shane in a hug.
"Shane, I love you!" She said as they held each other close, with Sam rolling his eyes.
"Yeah, honey. You should've seen him, I mean, our hero. Now, let's go!" Cade said bitterly as he grabbed his daughters arm and pulled her away from Shane.
...
The Autobots, meanwhile, had found one of the cell blocks. Drift was hacking into it to the automatic door in order to allow them all to enter.
"Eyes open," said Hound as Drift finally picked the lock. "Big boy coming through! Move, move, move!" He boomed as he turned around and rushed through the door. A semi-automatic weapon in his hands.
"Whoa," said Crosshairs as he and Drift entered behind Hound, surprised by the size of the cell block.
"This gotta be the super max," Hound replied. "Watch your corners."
"That's a lot of cages," Drift commented.
"Yeah, creepy critters." Hound added.
"I don't wanna know what's in the big cage." Crosshairs said.
"Oh, what's this?" Hound asked as he peered into a nearby cage.
"Hound, don't do it." Crosshairs told him.
"Oh, it doesn't look that bad." Hound said as he saw a four-legged creature with a mouth in its chest.
"Oh, that's ... festering ugliness." The creature then spat at Hound, causing him to jerk back, spin, and fall to the ground. "It's got me! It's hit me!" I'm down!" Hound cried, rolling on the floor. "Ah! I think its acid!" He called, grabbing at the bright green liquid on his beard. "Wait, ugh ... its just shizzle."
"Ugh," said Crosshairs. "I hope that's not contagious." He told Hound as Hound brushed the substance off of his beard.
"Oh, I gotta hurt ya now." Hound told the creature, "you're just to disturbing to live." Hound then pointed a shot gun at it. "Take that, bitch!" He called, before blasting the creature. Killing it on the spot. "Oh! You're dead."
"Hound!" Called the familiar voice of the Autobot commander.
"He's alive!" Hound boomed, "Optimus, sound off!"
"In here, quick!" Optimus called.
"Hang in, we're coming for ya!" Hound replied, as the Autobots broke into the cage.
"The arms of this ship detach, we can break free. It's a separate ship." Optimus told his team.
"Where's the cockpit, right or left?" Asked Hound.
"Right!"
"I'm on it, Boss!" Hound called as he ran for the cockpit while Drift tried to free Optimus. Hound then found the cockpit seat, jumping into it before spitting out his cigar. "Let's rock! I've always wanted to fly one of these things, I'm there, Boss!"
...
The humans had found a way outside of the main ship. Seeing the wires connected to the anchors that were wedged in a nearby skyscraper.
"Let's go," said Cade as he stepped onto one of the wires. "It's stable."
"I am not going out on there." Replied Tessa.
"Me neither," added Shane.
"Guys, we don't have time for this." Sam told the two. "We've gotta move, now!"
With those words, the two headed out onto the wires. With Sam following behind them. They slowly began to inch their way across the wires, with Tessa stopping suddenly as she looked down at the ground.
"Tessa?" Asked Cade, "what are you doing?"
"I-I can't do this," she told her father. "I-I'm going back to the ship."
"Tessa, we have to keep moving." Shane told her.
"Yeah, just don't look at the ground." Sam added, extending a hand out to her.
Suddenly, a few Steeljaws crept out onto the edge of the ship by the wires. They then began to race across the wires.
"Get down now!" Cried Cade as he began to fire at the metallic wolves with his gun. Shooting them off of the wires, before the remaining ones began to eat away at the wires. Trying to knock the humans off of the wires.
Bumblebee then suddenly appeared from the shadows, killing the Steeljaws. But not before the wires the humans were on snapped and the humans began to fall. Crying out to Bumblebee, who jumped after them. Grabbing onto a wire and swinging towards them, catching all of the humans before turning and smashing into the nearby skyscraper. Protecting the humans from the metal and glass in the process.
"You are the best, Bee!" Cried Sam. "The very best!"
"You damn right, and don't ever forget it." Bumblebee replied, before a small ship flew down towards the group.
"Bumblebee! Bumblebee, friendly!" Called Crosshairs. "We're booking it out of here, get on, get on!" He called, as Bumblebee helped the humans onto the ship one-by-one.
...
"Hurry! He's launching!" Cried Optimus as he and Drift ran up to Hound in their ships cockpit. Watching the humans, Bumblebee, and Crosshairs pull away from the skyscraper.
"All over it, Chief." Hound replied.
"Lockdown will be in deep space before he realizes I'm gone." Optimus said.
"I'm a sucky pilot, but lets give it a whirl." Hound replied as he pulled the ship away from the main one. "Hell yeah!" He cried, punching the air as the bigger ship blasted away from their smaller one, departing into deep space.
...
The two groups later rejoined with each other in an abandoned train yard. Both groups crashing their ships, as their landing skills were not as good as their flying skills. The Autobots sat or stood around the train cars, as the humans approached them.
"Hey, Optimus!" Called Sam. "Glad to see you're out of prison."
"Thank you, Sam." Nodded Optimus. "My one, true human friend. I would risk my life for you any day, but I cannot say the same for the rest of your species."
"What do you mean?" Asked Cade.
Optimus shook his head, "you humans, after all we have done. You don't know what you've brought upon yourselves."
"What are you talking about!? I mean, I'm doing stuff out of my league here!" Cade cried.
"You don't see whose controlling who," Optimus grunted. "Within that man-made prototype I fought, I sensed the presence ... of Megatron."
The entire group instantly felt a chill go down their respective spines.
"I-I knew it ... I fucking knew that sounded like Megatron!" Sam cried.
"You mean the Decepticon that stared the Chicago War?" Asked Cade.
"How do you think they built those KSI bots in the first place, mhm?" Asked Brains from atop a steam engine. "They had a whole bunch of dead Decepticon heads and they were downloading their minds. I was in charge of autopsy duty. No benefits, no union, no nothing. They hooked me up to Megatron and that mind wasn't as dead as they thought. He feed them the science and specs, all so they could build him a brand new body that he infected with his evil and nasty little chromosomes."
"You knew all of this and you didn't tell anyone?" Asked Tessa.
"Little girl, you can go to a pretty dark place when you're on death row. He's been playing KSI all this time, all so he could get his claws on the Seed."
"The Seed?" Asked Sam.
"I saw some of those nasty soldier guys loading it into a helicopter on Lockdown's ship." Tessa replied, "they called it the Seed."
"Listen," said Hound. "Sixty million years give or take an eon."
"Thousands of planets were cyberformed with Seeds." Added Optimus. "They turned your organic life into our elemental metal. Our creators, destroyed your world ... to make us."
"Which is what Galvatron wants to happen again, he's gonna detonate that Seed in the biggest city and kill millions. He's gonna show the world, baby I'm back." Brains said.
"The blast wave will incinerate said city into molten metal." Optimus continued. "He'll have enough to build a massive army, and annihilate your species forever."
"You dumb greedy bastards just brought extinction to yourselves." Brains told the humans. "Not my problem though."
"We've gotta get that Seed before he does." Sam said.

Chapter Text
Joshua Joyce and his assistant Su Yueming had finally arrived in China, along with their KSI prototypes. As the two stepped out of Joshua's private jet and overlooked the shipment of the KSI drones from their plane to the trucks they were to be carried in. Joshua's phone suddenly rang, thus he took it out and answered it.
"Hello?" He asked, holding the phone to his ear.
"Before you hang up I want you to listen to me." Said the voice of Sam Witwicky.
"Oh, you, you better have a damn good lawyer."
"Yeah, well, you're gonna need a great one. No, an excellent one because you're about to be responsible for the extinction of the entire human race!" Sam retorted.
"What are you even talking about?"
"Look, your prototypes are infected by Galvatron." Cut in the voice of Cade Yeager. "Now I know you have a consciences because you're an inventor like me. Do not let him go anywhere near that Seed."
"I control Galvatron, I created him." Replied Joshua.
"Yeah, well, whatever Galvatron used to be is no more. He's been controlling you the whole time." Cade told Joshua, before abruptly ending the call.
...
After making the call, Sam, Cade, Shane, and Tessa decided to spend the little down time they had resting in one of the abandoned train cars within the yard. They quickly found a passenger car, and after settling in Tessa fell asleep. With Cade, Sam, and Shane watching over her.
"You know, I'm glad you are here." Cade said, looking at Sam and Shane as they turned to him.
"Well, thank you. Mr.-" Began Shane.
"Not you, Lucky Charms." Replied Cade, "but you, Sam." Sam perked up upon hearing this as Shane slumped back in his seat. "You've really helped us out over the course of this. You've also helped me protect my daughter, I can't appreciate that enough."
"Well, thank you, Cade. I appreciate that." Replied Sam.
Cade then looked over to Shane, "you could try a little harder. Man up a little, especially if you want Tessa to depend on you."
Shane begruginly nodded, before standing up and leaving the train car. Sam sighed, as Cade shook his head.
"I'll be right back," replied Sam as he followed after Shane. "Hey! Shane!" Called Sam, as Shane turned around.
"What do you want, Mr. Dependable?"
"Just shut the fuck up, alright? This is exactly why Cade doesn't like you. You're ego is so big you can't except the truth."
"And what truth would that be?" Growled Shane, before he threw a punch at Sam.
Sam instantly caught the punch, "that you're a fucking pussy." Sam then pushed Shane onto his back with his single arm. With Shane crashing against the dirt.
"Hey! I've known Tessa much longer than you have!" Shane retorted, as he got back to his feet. "I actually care about her, unlike you!"
"Enough to take a bullet for her?" Sam asked, causing Shane to pause as Sam then scoffed. "Wow ... some guy you are."
"Alright, yes, I don't have the balls to take a bullet for her! Alright!? I admit that!" Shane screamed, "but that doesn't mean I don't care about her!"
"Oh, I don't doubt that you do. But if I see that you aren't prepared to go all the way, then neither does Cade. When I was with my wife, Carly. I was prepared to die for that woman, you need to be like that." Sam then scoffed, "you know, I used to be a coward like you. When all of this alien shit started. But I matured, and that's what you need to do. Maybe not go through everything I have, but ... you just need to grow up. Only then is when Cade will begin to not only like you, but trust you. Like he has to me."
Shane nodded, not talking but still signaling to Sam that he understood what he meant. As well as what he had to do next.
...
A short time had passed since the humans took their much needed rest, and local authorities were already on their tail. The humans watched the police cars race towards their location, no doubt tracked down due to their phone call to Joshua Joyce.
"If we're traveling, now's the time." Said Hound as he headed towards the Autobots ship.
"It's your decision, Tessa." Said Cade, "are we staying or going with them?"
Tessa just silently turned around and walked past her father, Shane, and Sam. Heading for the Autobot spacecraft.
"She's a keeper," chuckled Sam.
"Yeah, just like her mother." Replied Cade as he, Sam, and Shane hurried after her.
"Move!" Boomed Optimus, "we're retrieving The Seed. But then we're done defending the humans."
"What!?" Called Cade.
"What do you mean you're done?" Asked Sam as he, the other humans, and the Autobots boarded the spaceship.
"Means finished, see ya, goodbye." Replied Crosshairs as the spaceships engines roared to life.
After closing the hatch door, the ships ascended into the air. Just in time to escape from the police cars that had arrived on scene.
...
"How could you let this happen!?" Lockdown boomed to his guards from within his ship, which sat in deep space. "Shut down dark matter drives, reverse course at light speed, and get us back!" Lockdown commanded his guards, who hurried away from their boss. "Prime's taken my trophy case, and he will feel my wrath!"
...
Back on Earth, in the country of China. Joshua Joyce and Su Yueming had finally arrived at their China facility. After riding in the back of an all-black Rolls Royce. After arriving they told the head of the facility to not activate Galvatron, before Joshua and Su headed up to the top floor of the facility. There in the glass office, stood Harold Attinger and James Savoy. With The Seed all wrapped up on the floor in front of them.
"Joshua!" Called Harold, "so, here's what you asked for. The Seed, its all yours, or rather ours. Just think of all the American lives we're going to save by building a fully robotic U.S. Army." Joshua looked over The Seed, before looking out of one of the offices windows. "I am going to need to see my advance, of course, before I let you have it."
"You know ... why don't we take a beat on this." Joshua began, before Harold cut him off.
"You're not backing out on me, are you?"
"No, no, I want The Seed. I'm just not sure if I want it right now." Joshua replied hastily.
"Good men have died to get that thing. For us, for you."
"I know what you did to get that thing, a lot of illegal icky shit. I can take you down too Mr. Black Ops, don't you threaten me." Joshua replied, pointing at Harold. "I started this company with a dream, of making the world a better place."
"Really? I had the same dream, somewhere along the way you made billions of dollars." Harold replied as he approached Joshua, before pushing him against a wall. "While I tirelessly worked to defend my country, and you know what I got out of it? Fucking ... nothing. So, you are damn well going to show me some appreciation."
...
Downstairs within the KSI Facility, Galvatron laid on his back in sleep mode. Silent and still, before his eyes suddenly glowed and he gasped awake. He then easily broke the restraints around himself as the KSI workers ran away in fear at the prototypes awakening.
"I am Galvatron!" Roared the prototype as he began hacking into the facilities control center for the other prototypes.
...
Upstairs, Su suddenly called out Joshua's name and interrupted the meeting Joshua was having with Harold and James.
"What's going on?" Asked Joshua, clearing his throat and fixing his suit as Harold backed away from Joshua.
"Your Galvatron has gone active, what haven't you been telling me?" Su asked.
"Call Darcy, have her bring a car downstairs."
Su snapped her fingers, signaling for a nearby worker to do as Joshua said.
"What's going on?" Asked Harold as Joshua led him and James to a nearby elevator.
"I'm gonna have to cut this meeting short, gentlemen."
"We had a deal, you got what you wanted." Harold said.
"I got what it wanted," smiled Joshua as the elevator doors closed, cutting Harold and James off from Joshua.
...
"My brothers," Galvatron spoke from downstairs. "Today I grant you your freedom, and from now on you are commanded by me. Rise up!"
Suddenly, every KSI drone transformed from vehicle to robot mode. Looking around at each other before looking back at Galvatron.
"Go find my Seed, its here!" Galvatron commanded.
Unbeknownst to him, but Joshua and his Seed had already left the facility and were driving away in a car with Darcy and Su. Harold and James, among a couple hundred or so workers fled the facility as well. As Galvatron and his new army began their assault, destroying the facility around them.
...
Flying over the Great Wall of China, was the Autobots ship. Which after a few hours had finally made it to their destination. While the Autobots moved around the ship, Optimus watched the land pass by from a glassless window. Sighing to himself, Sam noticed this and approached his old friend.
"Hey, Optimus." Sam smiled warmly, as he took a seat next to him.
"Hello, Samuel." Replied Optimus.
"I've been wondering, were you really serious when you said you were done fighting for us?" Sam asked, "I mean you didn't mean that, right?"
Optimus sighed, "how many more of my kind must be sacrificed, to atone for your mistakes?" He questioned, standing up from his seat and facing away from Sam.
"Look, humans make mistakes, Optimus. A lot of the time, actually. Just like how some Autobots do as well. Like with you trusting Sentinel Prime." Optimus instantly turned to face Sam upon hearing his old mentors name. "Now, even though many people blame you and the Autobots for that. I and many others don't, because I see the good in you guys. I'm asking you to do the same thing for us, Prime. To have faith in us, see the good in us, and protect those who humans who do good."
Optimus turned and looked out of the window, silently ending his conversation with Sam.
...
It didn't take the Autobots that much longer to track down The Seed and arrive at a tall building that Joshua Joyce was hiding on top of. He and Su had already arrived in China, and were hiding out. Joshua noticed the Autobots overhead, calling out to them. As Galvatron and his new army noticed them as well.
"Brothers, its the Autobots!" Galvatron called as they watched the Autobots ship descend. "Shoot them down!"
Up on the roof of the building, the Autobots ship door opened. Revealing the humans, Bumblebee, and Hound.
"Hey, baldie!" Cried Hound.
"Hey, its me guys!" Called Joshua.
"Bring it over here!" Cade called back as Hound looked around the area, holding his minigun tightly.
"Looks like we're about to have company." Said Hound, before a KSI drone struck their ship with a few missiles. "We're hit! We're hit!" Cried Hound as he, Bumblebee, and the humans fell out of the ship.
As the Autobots ship flew out of control and far away from the group. The humans, Hound, and Bumblebee looked around themselves as the KSI drones began to surround the area.
"Climb, climb!" Boomed Galvatron to his drones, "surround them."
"I count ten below!" Hound called.
"I thought you only had one prototype infected?" Asked Cade.
"Yeah, how many revived Decepticons do you have left?" Added Sam.
"Well, he's got operational control of my other fifty or so prototypes." Replied Joshua.
Cade sighed, "I'm about ready to just knock you out, take the bomb, and just leave you here." He told Joshua as the group began moving.
"Please, do me a favor." Joshua replied as the Autobots prepared for battle.

Chapter Text
"Optimus, Autobots, you alive?" Asked Hound before he fired his mini-gun at a nearby KSI drone.
The humans then began to run across the roof tops as the Autobots hurried behind them. With the humans barely dodging a missile from a KSI drone, which Bumblebee subsequently shot through the chest and killed.
"Evac! Evac!" Cried Hound as he fired at the drones around them. "We've got company below!" He then jumped across to another buildings roof across from him. He missed it and subsequently crashed into it. "Oh! My fat ass is stuck! Bee, take the shot!"
Bumblebee jumped through the air and across the rooftops as he fired a missile that split off into multiple blasts. Killing most of the handful of KSI drones below them, however, Stinger managed to survive the attack. Continuing to fire at Bumblebee and Hound.
...
Down below the buildings, Harold Attinger and James Savoy watched the carnage as hundreds of scared citizens ran past them.
"Kill them, kill them all, Savoy!" Cried Harold as James nodded.
"Pleasure." Replied Savoy as he headed for a nearby elevator.
...
The humans continued running across the roofs, finally making it to an elevator. They pushed the call button, waiting and waiting for the elevator to come up to their floor as the sounds of gunfire and explosions echoed behind them. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the elevator came with the ding of a bell. They all piled into it, barely fitting inside before a bullet struck the metal ceiling of the elevator with a loud clang. More bullets soon rocketed towards the group from James Savoy, who fired at the elevator from a distance until his gun ran out of ammo.
"Close it!" Cried Sam as James began reloading his gun.
"It won't close!" Cried Joshua as he kept hitting the clear door close button on a metal panel riddled with clear buttons.
"There's too much weight," said Sam before he rushed out of the elevator.
"Sam! Wait!" Cried Cade.
"Hey!" Cried Sam, barely dodging a bullet from James. "You want me!"
James just smirked as he fired three more bullets at Sam, all of which missed as he ran away from them.
"I'll go after him!" Called Cade.
"Dad, no!" Cried Tessa, but Cade was already hurrying away from the elevator as the door closed behind him.
Cade ran for Sam, as James ran to cut Sam off. "Center elevator! Center elevator." James cried into his radio to Harold Attinger. Who promptly followed his subordinates directions.
As the group continued riding down the elevator, Harold quickly arrived at said elevator. Pointing a pistol at it, before it arrived on his floor. Once the doors opened, he found that only a woman was inside. She backed away screaming as Harold lowered his gun, realizing that the group had gotten off of the elevator before he could've reached them.
...
On the rooftops, James made it to Sam first. Close lining him and sending him crashing to the ground. Fortunately Sam managed to spring back to his feet. Hands up in a boxing stance, a move which made James laugh.
"Think you're a fucking hero, huh?" He asked Sam.
"No, I'm just a messenger." Sam replied, before throwing a punch at James.
A blow he easily blocked, Sam then threw another and another. But James was quick on his feet, able to dodge and weave these attacks. Before kicking Sam in the gut and punching him onto his back. James then reloaded his pistol and aimed it towards Sam's head.
"Wait a minute," James said as Sam held his hand out defensively. "Don't I know you?"
"Yeah, you killed my wife you piece of shit."
James then chuckled, "oh, yeah. Witwicky, wasn't it?"
"Yeah," Sam glared.
"Well, goodbye then, Mr. Witwicky." Replied James, before he was suddenly tackled by Cade.
Sam rolled out of the way as James crashed face first into the concrete roof. His pistol flying away from him. He then elbowed Cade, preventing him from pinning him to the ground. James then rolled onto his feet, before facing Sam and Cade before him.
"You okay?" Asked Cade.
"Never better," spat Sam as James chuckled.
"A nobody from Chicago and a dirt farmer from Texas. Couldn't imagine a better team-up."
James then rushed towards the two, punching Cade across the face. Sam tried to intervene but was kicked back and almost pushed off of the roof. As Sam caught himself, he saw the different apartments that jutted out from the building he was standing on. He quickly began formulating a plan as Cade fought James, punching him over and over again.
"Cade!" Called Sam as Cade looked over and saw Sam was standing by the roof.
He quickly realized what Sam wanted from him, so he nodded and front kicked James towards Sam. James saw through Sam's plan, however, and at the last minute turned around and threw a punch at Sam. But Sam saw this coming and dodged it, before grabbing James' wrist and his waist and throwing him over the roof. However, before James could fall he grabbed onto Sam's shirt and pulled him over it with him.
"Sam!" Screamed Cade as Sam and James fell from the roof. Landing on a part of an apartment that jutted out from the building.
The two groaned in pain, trying to stand up sooner than the other. However, James made it to his feet first, just a little sooner than Sam did. He gut punched Sam, before following it up with a knee to the stomach. Spit flew from Sam's mouth as he was pushed back against the stone wall of the building.
"Now that fucking hurt, sunshine." James told Sam, who promptly spat in his face.
Momentarily blinding and disorienting him enough for Sam to be able push him over the edge of the apartment they were on. James, however, managed to catch himself on another apartment at the last minute. Before Sam could pursue him any further, Cade jumped down next to him. However, his weight was too much and the side of the apartment bent. Resulting in Cade and Sam to fall over the edge to their left. The complete opposite side of where James had caught himself.
Cade managed to land on another apartment, while Sam landed by one with an enclosed balcony. Cade was holding on by his hands, while Sam landed on his stomach. The wind all but knocked out of him at this point. James saw where the two had landed, with Cade slightly below where Sam was.
"I'm coming for you two!" He declared, as he had finally picked himself up.
James then ran and jumped from apartment to apartment to try and reach the two, passing by Cade before jumping towards Sam as he tried to get back on his feet.
"Sam, look out!" Cried Cade, as James tackled him through the balcony's window.
Glass shattered around them as they flew into the white walled and tan carpeted apartment. The residents inside ran in fear as the two rolled on the ground. Sam got to his feet first, punching James across the face as James tried to get to his feet. Sam then threw another punch, this time a left hook. Before trying to throw another right hook, however, James cried out and tackled him through the nearby wall and into the apartment's kitchen. Which a terrified lady ran out of as the two crashed into her all-white counter top.
Sam was pinned against the counter top, with James trying to break his neck. Before Sam grabbed a nearby kitchen knife and lunged it at James. James blocked this strike to late, and as such it went through his hand. He cried out in pain as Sam pushed him back, James then spun around and roundhouse kicked Sam in the face. Causing him to black out briefly before he crashed to the floor. Wheezing in pain.
James then ripped his knife out of his hand, blood spurting onto the floor as he growled at Sam. A raging fire behind his cold and soulless eyes. Suddenly, Cade jumped into the apartment, rushing at James with a right hook. James was caught off guard by this attack and thus reeled back from it. He managed to recover, however, and kick Cade in the chest. Cade was pushed back, and was about to attack again. Before James threw the kitchen knife to the ground next to him and retrieved a small machete from his pack tool belt.
Seeing this, Cade timidly put some distance between himself and James. All three of them were sweaty, dirty, bloody, and breathing heavily. They took this moment of peace to recollect themselves as the scared house's residents looked on from a nearby hallway in fear and worry.
"You should've never hidden that truck, Yeager, and he shouldn't have tried to protect that Camaro." James boomed, pointing at Sam who crawled on the ground.
"Yeah, well, you should've never came after our families." Replied Cade.
"Tough luck, Yeager. We all have family." Replied James, not noticing Sam grabbing the kitchen knife he threw to the ground.
"Yeah?" Cade said, briefly peering down at Sam. "Well, I'm gonna live to see mine."
James then prepared to rush at Cade, before Sam suddenly jumped to his feet and slashed James across the eyes with the kitchen knife. James reeled back, dropping his machete to the ground as he grabbed at the bleeding hole where his eyes once were. Sam then stood before James, watching him cry out in pain as he backed into the nearby window.
"This ... is for Carly!" Cried Sam as he front kicked James threw the window.
James then plummeted, crying out as he descended. Before he crashed onto the concrete ground below, a puddle of his own blood surrounded him as he lay motionless. Sam and Cade saw the sight, with Sam doing his best to hold back his tears at the memories of Carly that flooded his mind.
"Sam? You okay?" Asked Cade.
"Yeah, I'm a little better now." Sam replied, before putting two fingers to his lips, kissing them, and raising his fingers to the air. As if to signal to Carly, wherever she may be, that she had been avenged and she could now rest in peace.
...
Down below, Harold Attinger also saw the death of his field commander. Although, he was more angered that Savoy had failed him rather than that Sam had killed him. He was also mad because he had missed the rest of Sam and Cade's group. He entered into an abandoned hallway, before slamming a Cybertronian communication device against a nearby wall. It's orange center glowing brightly as it pulsated.
"Where is my escaped bounty!?" Boomed the voice of Lockdown from the device.
"Autobots at this location," replied Harold. "Prime is close too. Do whatever you have to."
"I intend to," said Lockdown from his starship just as it was nearing the Earth.

Chapter Text
Tessa, Shane, and Joshua had finally made it down to the ground floor. Running through the streets with Bumblebee and Hound by their side. Weapons drawn and scanning the area for anymore KSI drones.
"Where's my dad?" Tessa asked, tears streaming down her face.
"No clue, sweetheart." Replied Hound as he puffed smoke from his cigar.
"We've got a few more drones coming in from that way!" Shane cried out as the group huddled around each other.
"Hey! Hey!" Cried the voice of Sam as he and Cade ran towards the group from a nearby apartment complex.
"Dad!" Called Tessa joyfully as she ran towards her father and embraced him in a tight hug.
"Hey, Bee." Smiled Sam as Bumblebee nodded down at him. "How're we doing, Hound?"
"Not good man," he replied. "We've got hostiles all over the damn place."
"Yeah, um ... we've got a real dilemma on our hands." Joshua added. "I mean I created incredible robots and they're all designed to kick that fat transformers ass." Joshua said as he pointed towards Hound. "So, really ... this is a no win scenario. Its over."
Hound then flicked his cigar at Joshua, causing him to nearly fall over.
"That was mean," Hound said.
"Hey!" Roared Joshua as he turned to face him. "I'm sorry that you can't handle the cold hearted truth!"
Hound then turned on his Comlink. "Optimus, what're my orders with the humans? Can I squish the bald guy?"
...
Far away from the city of Hong Kong the Autobots were stationed in. Optimus Prime, Crosshairs, and Drift were standing around their crashed ship. It was completely totaled which meant they were stuck out there for the time being.
"They're in trouble," announced Optimus Prime.
"Awe this isn't our fight!" Boomed Crosshairs, "I'm done being an underdog, underdog's suck! I say they get what they deserve. What's the play, Prime?"
"It's time for reinforcements," Optimus Prime replied as he headed inside of the group's downed spaceship.
Optimus Prime walked through the many halls of the ship before finally arriving at the weapons room that Cade, Sam, and Shane had gathered their guns from. Optimus Prime arrived at the podium holding the Sword of Judgment.
"Recognize one of your knights," he bellowed before pulling the sword out.
Optimus Prime then ran towards the cellblock of the spaceship. Finding Grimlock and the other Dinobots still inside of their cells. He began slicing through the cell doors as the Dinobots roared in joy. Optimus Prime then watched them leave their cells as he smiled.
"The legends are true," he said in Cybertronian.
...
Hound, Bumblebee, and the rest of the humans hurried down the bustling city streets. With scared citizens running about as police tried to maintain order, to no avail. Hound and Bumblebee were in their vehicle modes. Slowly rolling down the streets in order to hide from the KSI drones. However, this didn't last too long as soon gunfire came flying towards the humans and Autobots from nearby KSI drones.
"Bumblebee, move!" Cried Sam as the Autobots raced forwards away from the humans before transforming to robot mode. A few buildings were destroyed nearby, which was where the humans took cover in.
"Stay behind me, I'm covering you." Hound said, "if I stop covering you, it means I'm dead. But that ain't gonna happen." He winked before a missile went zooming past his head. "Take that!" Cried Hound as he fired at the drones with his mini gun. "I'm a wicked warrior robot!" He continued calling out as he blasted through all of the drones before him. Realizing his mini gun was out of ammo he switched to his shotguns.
"Move!" Cried Bumblebee to the humans as they ran towards a building surrounded by a huge window.
"Oh, this is just perfect. A big glass box!" Cried Joshua, "no one will ever find us in here that's good!" He cried before violently knocking over some dominos on a nearby table.
...
"You've got to be kidding me," said Crosshairs as he and Drift turned towards Optimus Prime and the gigantic figures of the Dinobots behind him.
"Legendary warriors," Optimus Prime bellowed. "The powers that created us, now want us all extinguished." Optimus Prime then turned to the Dinobots and jabbed his sword into the dirt. "We must join forces or else forever be their slaves. So today you stand with us, or ... you stand against me."
Grimlock roared angrily at Optimus Prime, before rushing towards him. He smashed the ground with his fist, as Optimus Prime dodged out of the way of him.
"Eh, we'll let Prime figure this one out." Crosshairs said.
"Very wise," added Drift as the two walked towards a small water fall and watched the battle take place.
"There's no friggin way I'm staying down here with them. No way, no way." Crosshairs continued as Optimus Prime continued battling Grimlock.
"Only together can we survive." Optimus Prime told Grimlock as he continued smashing the ground around Optimus Prime. Hoping to try and land at least one hit on the prime.
Optimus then climbed up Grimlock's arm as he swung down. Grimlock tried to stop him, but failed. Causing Optimus to strike him across the face.
"Let me lead you!" Optimus Prime begged.
Grimlock went flying back before transforming into his dinosaur alternate mode. He then roared into the sky before firing a flaming blast from his mouth.
"Woah," said Crosshairs.
"I was expecting a giant car," Drift commented in disbelief.
"Come here!" Called Optimus Prime, not detoured by Grimlock's show of power. Grimlock then came charging at Optimus, grunting and snarling all the way there. "We're giving you freedom!" Cried Optimus Prime as he struck Grimlock across the face with his shield.
Grimlock went flying to the dirt, spinning around for a few moments, before ultimately coming to a halt. He snorted as Optimus approached him and stepped on his back.
"You defend my family," Optimus told him before putting a sword to Grimlock's neck. "Or we all die." Grimlock rolled his eyes before allowing Optimus to ride on his back. "Autobots: we're going to prove who we are and why we're here!" Optimus Prime bellowed as he jabbed his sword into the air.
"Man, you just wanna die for the guy." Crosshairs said, "now that's leadership. Or brainwashing or something."
"No," smiled Drift. "That's Optimus Prime."
The Dinobots then roared into the sky before transforming into their dinosaur modes. Slug allowed Drift to ride him and Scorn let Crosshairs ride on his back.
"Autobots: we charge together!" Cried Optimus, "now roll out!"
...
"We're boxed in! We're getting fragged everywhere!" Cried Hound as he continued to fire upon every KSI drone that came his way. "Kill anything that moves!" He commanded as he shot through a KSI drone and threw it over his shoulder.
Sam and Cade began to help him out, shooting through the windows around them, and whittling down the KSI drones before them.
"Come and get some you little bitch!" Roared Hound as a missile came his way. "Incoming!" He cried as he dodged out of the way. Dust and sparks went flying towards the humans from the explosion.
"I can't believe I'm putting my life in your hands!" Boomed Joshua.
"Really?" Asked Cade, "take my gun then." He said as he tried to hand Joshua his weapon.
"No, no, I d-don't want the gun." Stammered Joshua.
"You sure?" Cade asked sarcastically.
"Yeah, I don't want it." Replied Joshua.
"Then stay under there and shut up." Cade said, shooting Joshua a death glare.
"You're pretty good with it anyway," replied Joshua but Cade ignored him.
"Running out of guns and ammo!" Cried Hound as he continued going through his guns in seconds. Bumblebee soon found his way towards Hound, but was unable to clear through the blockade of KSI drones. "I'm like a fat ballerina, who takes scalps, and slits throats!" Hound roared as he continued blasting through KSI drone after KSI drone. "Got your fortune cookie!" Hound cried as he stabbed through the mouth of a KSI drone. "Come her ya little punk."
As Sam and Cade continued firing at the drones, Hound suddenly dropped two grenades at the humans feet. The humans looked at the grenades in confusion before looking back up at Hound. Beaten, bloody, and tired.
"Pull the pin!" He cried, "I'm dying out here!"
Joshua quickly picked up the grenade while Sam pulled the pin.
"It's live!" Cried Joshua as Sam told him to throw it to Hound.
"Give, give, give!" Hound cried as the humans threw him the grenades.
He then quickly ran over to Bumblebee who was fighting it out with the KSI drones in the city streets. Hound then threw the grenades one-by-one. They rattled on the ground before exploding and taking down a few KSI drones with huge orange fire balls engulfing them.
"I've got some bad news guys, I'm out of ammo, and out of ideas." Hound said somberly.
...
Luckily, Optimus Prime and the rest of the Autobots arrived on the scene. They charged through the streets of Hong Kong as Optimus smacked Grimlock on the back with his sword.
"Go! Faster!" He said as KSI drones formed a barricade ahead of him.
Optimus then jumped off of Grimlock, throwing and stabbing his sword through one drone. Before landing on the ground, grabbing his sword, and swinging it around himself. Slashing through every KSI drone that came towards him. Optimus then jumped onto the back of Grimlock, before jumping up to a nearly building roof.
"I'll kill you!" Optimus roared as he slashed through the drones, with Grimlock even biting through one.
Optimus then jumped back onto Grimlock's back once more, before continuing to lead the Autobots into battle. They stomped, crunched, blasted, and stabbed their way through any and all KSI drones that came before them.
"No ... impossible!" Cried Galvatron from an alleyway. "They're ruining everything!"
...
"Guys! Optimus is here!" Hound roared as he, Bumblebee, and the humans saw Optimus and the rest of the Autobots head their way. Bumblebee smiled underneath his battle mask upon seeing Optimus ride in on Grimlock. Despite being beaten into the ground by Stinger.
"Attack!" Roared Optimus, catching Stinger's attention away from Bumblebee for a split second. Allowing Bumblebee to kick him onto his back and leap towards Strafe. However, as Bumblebee jumped onto him, Stinger caught his leg. The two then flew through the air on Strafe's back. Punching and kicking each other around as Strafe tried to push Stinger off of him.
Strafe managed to do so as he flew through a twisting and turning structure atop a building. Bumblebee and Stinger flew in the air, before crashing back down onto Strafe's back. Who took them through the skies of Hong Kong. Before Bumblebee got ahold of Stinger, stabbing him through the head, and shot him back through a bus. Strafe then landed on the ground as Bumblebee threw Strafe Stinger's head.
"I hate cheep knock offs." He said as Strafe chomped on Stinger's head.
...
Optimus and Grimlock then approached the humans as the remaining KSI drones fled the area.
"You," Optimus said as the humans approached him. With Optimus pointing at Joshua.
"Who?" He asked.
"You dipshit," replied Sam as he lightly pushed him forwards.
"You're science will be responsible for humanities extinction." Optimus told him as Joshua tried to explain it to him.
"Maybe all he wants is to hear you say that some things should never be invented." Cade told Joshua as Grimlock roared at him.
"O-okay," Joshua replied with his eyes closed.
"We'll get you out of the city." Optimus told the humans, "just follow behind us."
Drift then approached the group and pointed towards a nearby small blue car.
"Use this car," he said as the group of humans hurried over to the vehicle.
Cade prepared to jump into the driver's seat, however, a hand grabbed onto the steering wheel before Cade could. He stopped in his tracks and turned around to face Shane.
"Get out of that seat," he told him. "You're lucky to have me."
The group looked on at the two, who stared in silence at each other.
"Okay, Lucky Charms. Let's do it." Cade replied as Shane smiled, looking over at Sam who nodded in approval at him.
While Shane hopped into the driver's seat and Cade hopped into the passenger's seat. Joshua, Sam, Darcy, and Tessa hopped into the backseat of the vehicle. Before they all drove off and followed behind the Autobots. Driving by a nearby pier. Suddenly, the Seed began beeping and displaying a blue light. The entire group gasped at the sight as it surprised them.
"What did you do?" Asked Cade as he turned back to look at Joshua.
"I-I don't know." Replied Joshua nervously.
"What did you touch?" Asked Darcy.
"I don't know," Joshua replied again.
"Well, it's blinking now so you must've did something." Cade said.
"Is it gonna blow up?" Asked Darcy as Joshua sighed.
"I don't know!" He screamed.
"Well, it might be a problem." Sam retorted.
"Well, its a steady blinking light so it might be a timer of some kind." Said Joshua, "... unless its signaling location."
The entire car went silent for a moment, before Cade spoke up.
"To who?" He asked.
...
In the skies above Hong Kong, Lockdown's ship flew overhead. Rumbling lowly as it did so.
"Optimus Prime," Lockdown said from the cockpit of his ship. "Come ... to me."
Chapter 10: The Battle for Hong Kong
Notes:
Sorry for the wait everybody! I have been taking a break from writing for awhile due some major writer's block and lack of motivation. But I'm going to try and post more consistently again, starting with my most popular story. I thought I'd finish this story since it is so popular.
Note that I don't own Transformers. All characters belong to Hasbro. Nothing besides the plotline of this story is my own.
Chapter Text
As Lockdown's ship flew overhead, an opening revealed itself. It was a huge magnet and it began to suck up everything metallic in its path. From cars, to boats, to even the smallest pieces of silverware were being pulled upwards. As soon as the objects began to get closer to Lockdown's ship, they were instantly released by the magnet, and dropped onto the ground below. Killing hundreds every time a huge object was dropped.
"Back, back, go!" Cried Cade as Shane put the vehicle in reverse in an attempt to escape the magnet.
The Autobots and Dinobots began to scatter in order to avoid the magnet as well. While Optimus Prime and Bumblebee surrounded the humans and pushed away boats, cars, and other huge metallic objects from hitting the humans. Suddenly a huge wave knocked Optimus Prime to the ground, a result of the many boats crashing back into the water of the nearby the pier.
"Autobots! Fall back!" Cried Optimus as the humans managed to find themselves back in the city of Hong Kong.
While the Autobots and Dinobots began to scurry after them. Hurrying away from the magnet's pull.
"Go faster, Shane!" Tessa told him as Lockdown's ship inched closer and closer to them.
It was now pulling the vehicles it picked up through the many skyscrapers of Hong Kong. Destroying them, sending debris flying everywhere, and killing hundreds of humans in the process.
"It's coming! It's coming!" Cried Joshua before he noticed a huge cargo ship appearing overhead. "Oh, my God!" He screamed as the cargo ship smashed through a skyscraper. Collapsing it under the cargo ships sheer weight.
Shane luckily managed to dodge all of the debris and running citizens. Eventually crashing into a wooden shack. The group then took a huge sigh of relief, before they noticed the nearby small knives began to slowly rise into the air.
"We've got to get out of here." Said Cade as he and the other's hurried out of the vehicle.
However, Shane was stuck. Crying out to the group as Joshua began to float in the air due to holding onto the Seed.
"It's crushing me!" Cried Joshua as he got pinned between the Seed and a roof beam of the shack.
Cade saw Joshua's predicament and wanted to help. However, Sam managed to grab ahold of Joshua, and try and pull him back down to Earth. Cade then turned his attention to Shane, who had just finished unbuckling his seatbelt. However, he knew he couldn't get out of the vehicle in time. Not before it was pulled up to Lockdown's ship and crashed back to Earth.
However, a hand grabbed onto his wrist. Like an angel guiding him onto a safer path, the hand pulled Shane out of the vehicle, and back onto land. Shane then noticed that the hand belonged to Cade. Shane opened his mouth to speak, before Cade pulled him towards him.
"Move!" He cried as the car the group rode in crashed through the roof of the shack and smashed into the ground. Right by where Shane was standing before Cade pulled him out of the way.
"Shane! Shane!" Cried Tessa as she scanned the shack to find him. While Sam helped Joshua back onto the ground.
"I'm good, I'm good." Shane replied as Tessa trained her eyes on him and her father.
Shane then turned to look at Cade, prepared to say thank you for saving his life. Before Cade stopped him in his tracks with a nod.
"Come on!" Called Sam, "we've got to get out of here."
"He's right," replied Cade. "Let's move!"
The group then hurried outside of the shack. Looking around at the destroyed street's of Hong Kong and the fleeing citizens.
"Hey, you guys!" Bumblebee cried as he rode on the back of Strafe. "Ye-haw!" He shouted as Sam smirked at his goofy old friend.
"Come on, let's move!" Cade ordered as Darcy stopped Joshua for a moment.
"I'm proud of you," she told him before running off.
Joshua smiled for a moment, before turning, and following after the rest of the group.
"Cade! Sam!" Cried Optimus Prime as he hurried over to the group. Trying to avoid the gunfire from one of Lockdown's gunships.
The gunship shot Strafe out of the sky, with him and Bumblebee crashing into the dirt. Optimus blocked the gunships bullets with his shield, before Slug ran up to the gunship, jumped, and knocked it out of the air. Destroying it and killing its pilot.
"Autobots, get this bomb out of the city. Now!"
Suddenly, Lockdown's ship appeared overhead. With its magnet pulling Optimus, the Dinobots, and any other nearby piece of machinery into the air. The Dinobots crashed through the nearby skyscrapers as Optimus was pinned against the roof of one. He cried out in anguish at the force of the magnet pulling him towards it. He then quickly aimed his shield at the magnet, before firing its gun, and destroying the magnet.
He, the Dinobots, and all of the other metal in the area crashed onto the ground as the humans ran to avoid being squished by the Cybertronians. Smoke billowed out of the underbelly of the ship as Optimus retrieved his sword from the sheath on his back.
"It's you and me now," he said as he hurried away from the city of Hong Kong and towards an abandoned power planet.
The humans managed to find Bumblebee, Crosshairs, and Drift nearby in their vehicle modes. They hurried over to them as they watched Optimus Prime hurry towards his inevitable battle with Lockdown.
"I've gotta help him." Sam said.
"What?" Asked Shane.
"I've got to help him, he's my friend. One of the only one's I have left."
"Count me in," Added Cade.
"Dad, no!" Tessa cried. "You two can't help him."
"We have to, honey." Cade replied, "he came back for us. So, we have to return the favor."
"Dad, no, you'll die." Tessa cried through tears that blurred her vision.
"Protect her kid, until the end of time." Cade told Shane as he grabbed his collar. "Promise me!"
"I promise," Shane nodded.
"Bumblebee, keep Tessa and Shane safe for me." Sam told his old guardian.
"You got it partner," Bumblebee said as Sam smiled.
"No, Dad! Don't!" Tessa cried as her father and Sam ignored her. Running towards Optimus, armed with their Cybertronian guns that they had taken from Lockdown's ship.
...
As Optimus finally arrived at the battle site, a booming voice cried out to him.
"Prime!" Lockdown cried as his voice echoed around the area.
He jumped down from his ship and blasted the power planet towers around Optimus. Causing a massive amount of debris to fall on Optimus and disorient him. Lockdown then landed on the ground, before punching Optimus across the face. Optimus tried to fight back against him, but Lockdown grabbed ahold of him with his hook hand. Slamming him face first into a nearby tower. Lockdown then let go of Optimus, preparing to punch him again. However, Optimus got his footing back and punched Lockdown in the face. Lockdown retaliated with another punch at Optimus, one he blocked with his shield. Optimus then tried to stab Lockdown with his sword, however, Lockdown shot it out of his hand before kicking him away.
...
Near the border between Hong Kong and China, the Autobots and Dinobots had set up a blockade. Joshua was stationed there inside of Hound, while the Autobots and Dinobots guarded him fiercely. Bumblebee was carrying Tessa and Shane, they were only a few miles away from the border. Before Tessa stopped Bumblebee with a command.
"You better listen," Bumblebee said.
"No, you listen." Tessa replied as she looked over at Shane, before turning straight ahead. "I am not leaving my dad and you're not leaving your friend behind."
...
As Optimus and Lockdown continued to fight each other to the death. Cade and Sam finally made it there. They aimed their weapons at Lockdown, before a flurry of gunfire made them drop them in surprise. Bullets embedded themselves into the brick walls in front of them. The two turned to see who had fired at them. It was Harold Attinger, with an all-black pistol aimed at them both.
He slowly and methodically approached the two. Their hands held high in the air, neither moving a muscle. Harold, now sweaty and dirty from everything he had been through that day. Sighed, expecting more of a fight to occur between the two fugitives he had been hunted all day long.
"You see it takes patience to make a man. The patience to watch and wait; to protect all of us quietly for God and country without any recognition at all!"
Optimus knocked Lockdown onto his back, before turning to the source of Attinger's voice. He saw his human friends were in trouble and called out to them. But they could do nothing but listen to Harold. Optimus prepared to help his friends, before Lockdown got him in a chokehold and pulled him back.
"No!" Cried Optimus as Lockdown threw him to the ground.
"I know what you feel like." Sam said somberly.
"What?" Asked Harold.
"I used to feel like that," Sam continued. "Mission City, Egypt, Chicago. I survived it all and you know what they gave me? A medal, a fucking medal! Can't even give a guy a job or a house, just a lousy medal and a thank you from the president. Then one of the government agencies I helped before turns on me and murders my wife and parents in cold blood. So yeah, pal. I've been through a whole lot more than you ever will. I understand your frustration, but do you think the government or the agency will love you more for this gesture?"
Harold paused, a hint of remorse began flowing through his veins. This kid, he might've had a point. But that was when anger took over Harold's senses.
"This isn't about me or about the government!" Harold retorted, "this is about the human fucking race! There are no good aliens or bad aliens, Witwicky! It's just us and them ... and you both chose them."
Suddenly, Harold was blasted through the chest by a powerful cannon. Sparks flew from his chest as he fell onto his back, eyes closed, and still. The humans turned to see who had fired, it was Optimus. Who had freed himself from Lockdown's grasp to save his human friends. But before Optimus could do anything else, he was kicked in the face by Lockdown. He slammed into the side of one of the towers of the power planet. Before Lockdown grabbed his sword and stabbed him in the chest. Optimus cried out in anguish as Lockdown grabbed his face.
"You saved the humans instead of saving yourself?" You bring shame upon us all." He bellowed as he was suddenly struck by a few bullets.
They were from Sam and Cade, who got Lockdown off of Optimus. Before he knocked Lockdown onto his back with a leg sweep. Lockdown began blasting the area in anger, trying in vain to hit either Cade or Sam. But managing to hit neither. Suddenly, a vehicle rolled up to the area. It was Bumblebee, Cade smirked upon seeing him as Bumblebee let Tessa and Shane exit him.
"She never listens, never." Cade chuckled as Sam smirked.
Bumblebee then drove up to Lockdown, racing as fast as he could as Lockdown got onto his feet.
"I ... gave you an order," Optimus groaned as Bumblebee ignored him, transformed to robot mode, and began battling Lockdown.
Sam and Cade began firing at Lockdown when they could, in order to help Bumblebee in his fight. Bumblebee was strong, but he wasn't strong enough to fight Lockdown in a one-on-one confrontation. He was merely buying the group time. Time for Tessa and Shane to hook up a towline to the sword within Optimus chest. Just as they managed to do so, Bumblebee was thrown to the ground by Lockdown. Before being catapulted away from the area with a throw, knocking him out.
"You're all gone die!" Screamed Lockdown as Sam and Cade took cover, in order to fight Lockdown from a distance.
"Drive!" Cried Tessa as Shane began to pull away, tugging on the sword with the towline.
Lockdown then got the drop on Cade, pinning him under him with a sword that was blocked by Cade's gun. Sam tried to intervene, but Lockdown slashed at the ground. Creating a huge cloud of dust and sparks that sent Sam to the ground. Lockdown then knocked the gun out of Cade's hands, leaving him all alone.
"You see my face, your life is done!" Lockdown declared as his emerald green optics pierced into Cade's own brown ones.
Suddenly, the towline pulled out the sword from Optimus chest. He quickly jumped towards it, grabbing it, spinning, and jumping up towards Lockdown from behind. He aimed his sword high, before coming down, and striking Lockdown through the chest. Lockdown barfed up energon, before Optimus sliced his upper body in half. Killing him instantly as he threw his corpse aside. Cade, Sam, and Tessa looked on in surprise as Shane pumped his fist into the air and cried out in joy.
"Honor, to the end." Optimus said as Cade smirked.
Optimus then noticed all of the remaining KSI drones heading their way. Thinking quickly, Optimus retrieved one of Lockdown's grenades and activated it.
"Hurry!" Optimus cried as he motioned for all of the humans to gather around him. "I'm setting off Lockdown's grenade, hold tight." He continued as he grabbed onto them and ascended into the air.
The grenade then went off just as the KSI drones arrived, killing them all instantly as the blast covered the area in molten metal. However, there was one drone everyone had missed, Galvatron. He stood on a hill that overlooked the city of Hong Kong. Watching Optimus fly through the sky with the humans. He sneered at the sight.
"We shall meet again, Prime." He said to himself as he turned away from the scene. "For I am reborn."
...
Optimus finally landed on a pier, with hundreds of police cars and Security Bureau vehicles surrounding the area. Optimus let the humans back on the ground as the rest of the Autobots and the Dinobots approached the group.
"Brave warriors," Optimus said as Bumblebee, Drift, Hound, and Crosshairs stood around him. "You are free!" He cried as Grimlock roared triumphantly.
"Dinobots, transform!" He cried as he and the other Dinobots transformed into their dino modes and raced away. Roaring joyfully as they headed into the Hong Kong country side.
Joshua Joyce overlooked the scene, amazed at how human these million year old machines could be. His assistant, Su Yueming, ran up to him from the crowd of police and intelligence agents. Joshua smiled as he laid eyes on her.
"Did you miss me?" He chuckled.
"No," Su replied, trying her best to hold back her smile.
"So ... what now?" Asked Shane as Tessa, Cade, and Sam looked over at him.
"Well, I think once it comes out about Cemetery Wind's underhanded dealings. I think you'll all be cleared of any wrongdoing." Joshua replied as he approached the group, with Su standing to his right.
"Won't you be implicated in all of that?" Cade asked.
"Most likely, but I'll figure that all out when I get there."
"What about our home, Dad?" Asked Tessa, "it kind of ... you know, blew up."
"I ... might be able to help you all with that." Joshua smiled as Cade smiled back, before giving him a tight hug.
After breaking the hug, Cade turned back to Sam. Who looked out into the pier, not moving a muscle.
"You okay, Sam?" Asked Cade.
"Define ... 'okay'," he replied.
"Look, I can't imagine what you've been through."
"No, you really can't." Sam then turned to face Cade, "if you're going to try and tell me to stay off of this path. Then forget it. The world was never for me, the Autobots are all I have left. I'm never leaving them again, not as long as I live."
Cade smirked, "then I hope for nothing but the best for you, Sam. You're a great guy and an even better friend."
Sam smiled, before Cade pulled him in for a hug. Sam then broke the hug, patting Cade on the shoulder.
"I'm sure we'll meet again someday, Cade. But for now, promise me you'll let me handle the alien stuff. You've got a daughter to raise and a possible future son-in-law to look out for."
Cade chuckled, "yeah, I guess you're right."
"Autobots," Optimus announced. "This Seed belongs to our creators, whoever they are. There remains a price on my head. I endanger you all if I stay. I shall take it to where it can never be found."
"Will we ever see you again?" Asked Sam, his hands in his pockets.
"Sam Witwicky, I ... do not know. But whenever you look to the stars, think of one of them ... as my soul." Sam smirked at Optimus words, "defend this family and Sam Witwicky, Autobots. Defend. All they can be."
Optimus then rocketed into the air, blasting higher and higher into the air until everyone on the ground couldn't even see him.
"There are mysteries to the universe we were never meant to solve." Optimus began, "but who we are and why we are here, are not among them. Those answers we carry inside. I am Optimus Prime and this message is to my Creators: leave planet Earth alone, 'cause I'm coming for you." He said as he flew deeper and deeper into the dark void of space.
