Chapter Text
I slowly woke up. First feeling cold then registering that the cold was a metal floor. Where am I? My head was foggy. I sat up when it cleared. It looked like I was in a cage or maybe a cell? Three of the four walls were metal with the fourth being bars, the slight sound of electricity buzzing in the air.
I wasn't the only one in here. I caught the eyes of what looked like a black panther with a scar under one of the eyes. I looked away to see that there were more in here. One that looked like an orange giant lizard, a spider monkey, a large yellow salamander, a pink sheep and what looks like a pile of rocks with a face? And there was a little grey bird like creature with a horn that was hiding behind the black panther. Are they animals? Why am I here?
If they're animals they might be wild so it's best to keep my distance. I move to the corner furthest away from the other occupants which was next to the bars. I could hear the electric buzz even more now. The bars are most likely electrified then.
How did I get here? I remember I was training with Kyouka and we were using one of the outdoor facilities at U.A. Then I felt a prick and I woke up here. Did someone abduct me? What about Kyouka? Was she taken as well? Where even am I? I doubt I'm anywhere near U.A. The best course of action is to wait and get more information.
Peering out of the bars I could see other cells like the one I'm in, each housing creatures, some similar to the ones with me. I heard a door open then I could hear light footsteps with the squeaking of cart wheels. I turned to face where the sound was coming from. After a few moments I could see a giant cockroach walking on two legs. It dressed in what looks like a uniform while pushing a cart and stopping at every cell. When it got to the cell I was in it seemed to pause. The antennae it had pointed straight up when earlier they were curved downward. Looking further I could see that the bug had a baton on their waist band. Sounds started coming out of the creature on the other side of the bars. Was it talking? The cockroach pressed a few buttons and the electricity stopped and a portion of the bars opened. They slid in a tray of cups in front of me and closed the bars and turned back on the electricity. I didn't look away until the cockroach left my sight range.
I looked down at what was put in here. A tray of eight paper cups each containing pellets. I picked up one of the cups and sniffed it. It smelled like mold and grass clippings. Gaging I put it back on the tray. I assume the other cups are for the other occupants but they haven't come to get them. Looking over at them they moved away from me. Were they afraid of me? I pushed the tray toward them, it was clear they weren't going to come get it themselves. When I retracted my hand the black panther pulled it closer to them and the others started grabbing the cups and eating the pellets in it. The one that was supposedly meant for me was split between them.
When they were done eating they started making sounds with each other. They were definitely speaking a language but it had too many clicks for it to be any language I know of. I watched them out of the corner of my eye as they spoke. After looking at them closer I could tell that the pile of rocks was alive. I could see that the arms, legs, hands, feet, torso and the head had specific sizes of rocks for each body part. Sometimes they would move when it was conversing with the others. At first glance it seemed like they were just rocks and not a living being. Interesting! I've never heard of any animal or person looking like that.
I moved my gaze to the little grey bird. It looked young, possibly a child. The little bird's horn looked damaged. It was cracked and looked like some pieces of the tip were missing. Feathers seemed to be missing too as I could see patches of skin on the bird's back and wings. It must be hurting, poor thing.
Looking away I started to think. Was I abducted by aliens? They're speaking a language that has too many clicks and whistles to be human. The food, or what I assume was food, was inedible to me but they ate with no repercussions. Half of the creatures I've seen are too unusual to be the result of a quirk.
I've been abducted by aliens. It would've been different if I was taken by humans I would have a higher chance of escaping or someone finding me. Maybe if I can learn the language then I have a better chance of getting out of this cell, finding Kyouka and going home. But before I could say anything to my cellmates I heard the door open and more footsteps than earlier. When five uniformed cockroaches approached my cell the others started growling and hissing. The black panther moved the bird behind it while the little bird whimpered.
The cockroaches opened the door and entered. A few of them pointed their batons at us while the others advanced towards them. I didn't realize what they wanted until one of the cockroaches grabbed the little bird and pulled out a pair of pliers.
Oh. Absolutely. Not.
