Chapter Text

Today has been a long day. The coffee shop has had little to no customers. I am in my month of silence so that is always good. I have to stream today. I guess that it is good that I don't stream with my face and voice. I am a pretty small streamer. I only have like 100 people who actually watch my streams. Though it is nice to make people smile and find some joy in watching me play.

"Y/N!!!" my manager Oli yelled "Can you help with this long line?"

I nodded my head yes as I ran over to them.

I spent an hour taking orders and also making coffee. Then the shop was slow, everyone either left or they were sitting and working, some people on their laptops and others on their phones probably just scrolling through the internet while they had their coffee. During this slow moment there was a person that popped in. He was wearing a blue sweater and he didn't come and buy anything, he sat down and just pulled out his phone. Oli then went and made a cup of tea. They went over to the strange customer and gave them the tea that they made. I only know a little bit of sign language so I watched for some signs that I know to pop up in their conversation. I saw them both sign hi to each other and I saw Oli sign favorite and also sign the tea you love. That was about all that I could find out so I should probably talk to Oli about it after they are done talking.

I started writing on a paper to talk about it when Oli comes back over.

'Who is that? I am just curious? How did you already know his order?' I finished up the little note sheet with my questions just as Oli showed up. I passed the note over to Oli.

"That is one of our oldest customers. He doesn't like talking and he only likes that one type of tea. He showed up a lot when the shop first started and he was a quiet talker. We got close and so now I make his tea so that he doesn't have to talk to anyone to get his tea to him. I wanted to make him comfortable." They said in almost a single breath.

'Can I learn it so when you go on break, someone else will know his order?'

"Sure." They laughed out

They showed that it was a simple recipe. It was black tea with ½ a teaspoon of honey with a slash of milk the last thing was a small amount of ground nutmeg on the top.

I did a thumbs up to Oli to let them know that I understood it and that I have the recipe down.

"Do you want this one that we made together?"

I nodded yes again. I drank it slowly. It was nice, it was naturally sweet and it also had a hint of nutmeg. It was nice. (I'm sorry if you don't like tea)

After I finished the tea I looked down at my watch and I saw that it was 3:00P.M and that I needed to clock out and go home. I waved to Oli to let them know that I was on my way home. They just waved back to me as well. I went and finished clocking out and I went over to my bike. I looked through the window of the shop seeing that the mystery customer was still in the shop. I had to go home. I rode my bike back to my house. My house is pretty close to the shop so that's why I ride my bike so I don't have to deal with too much of the crazy traffic.

I took the slightly longer way home after 5 minutes I was home. I went over to my computer and started by checking my twitter and checking my discord server as well. I wanted to relax for maybe 30 minutes. I posted on the discord and on twitter that I was gonna start streaming in 30 minutes. I couldn't wait to watch my followers interact with each other. I had to figure out what to play. I might just do some survival Minecraft maybe do some Redstone work on my hardcore world in my base. I could try doing a newer thing maybe even do bedwars. I think that I should do Redstone work on my hardcore world. While I was resting Herb came up to me and meowed. I let out a sigh as he sat on my lap yelling for food. I'll get up to feed him. Ok so note I need to get more cat food I am almost out of cat kibble.

After lounging for a little bit longer I realized that I might as well get my Minecraft started up my Minecraft account and get my stream ready to just press start. I grabbed my water bottle to get completely ready. Right when I start streaming I Tweet that I'm streaming and also letting the whole discord know.

'Hello folks today we are doing Redstone work on my hardcore world' I typed in the Minecraft chat. 'It should be a calm stream today and I might sit and "talk" with you guys'

I look at the chat with like 8 people saying yay and POG and just them seeming genuinely happy. There also were lots of people that were just saying hello and hi to others and just people starting to talk to the others in this community. I'm happy that my community is so sweet to each other. I get started on making sticky pistons to make a secret base in my main base. I spent most of the time digging a staircase down into the ground. After that I went to Google docs and opened it so that I could talk to my fans and so when I would talk it started out with me asking how they thought the stream was and I just wanted to see if they would want more chill streams of just simple builds and farming of items and experience. Most of the people said that they liked the stream, some people didn't though. So I came to the conclusion I came up with was that I can do more streams like this but that I should do more bedwars or just more fighting stuff to entertain the other people.

I spent some time just having fun chatting about Minecraft with my fans and I looked at the clock on my desk, it showed that it was 6:45 P.M I knew that I would have to get off soon because I needed to make myself dinner. I also need to rest so that I can go to the coffee shop early tomorrow. I told my stream that I have to go and that they are loved and that they need to eat and drink water. After I shut down my stream I went to my kitchen. I grabbed a slice of bread too much while I check when I have to check my times for work tomorrow. So my time tomorrow is 5 A.M to 1P.M with my break. Some time within those hours I have 30 minutes for my break. Sweet, ok so what should I eat I think I will just make some craft mac and cheese.

The mac and cheese was done pretty quickly. I sat down and ate as much as I could as I popped into the discord on my phone and I just watched the screen change as people talked mostly about the stream but some people were just talking about how their days went or really just anything. I looked at the art channel on the discord. I saw that there were a few drawings of my Minecraft skin and some others with my IndigoPoison (Minecraft username). They were all pretty cool and also pretty cute. I knew that I needed to get ready for bed.

I looked at my clock and I saw that it was 7 and I had to do some of my online collage work that should take me a hour and a half to do so that should be fine to do that and then go to bed with my alarm set for 4A.M so I can get ready early and also have some food plus get a little ahead on my school work.

With that all done I stretched and went to bed. Herb following close behind.

Chapter Text

Today is rather nice, the city hasn't picked up too much so it is still mostly calm and I have everything to get ready. I made sure that I would be able to show up to the shop early to get the shop open for the day and Oli will be joining me at 7 so it should be another easy day and that'll be good. I can work on school work in the first few hours normally only four to six people show up from 5 A.M to 6 A.M. I can get an hour of school in while working and when we are not having a ton of people, Oli covers me when I am listening to my class recordings or when I am writing. My college work should be over in about a month so I can get my degree for computer engineering.

There where about 6 or 7 people that came into the shop from 5 to 6. Oli showed up 15 minutes early and that meant that we had some time to prepare before the rush of people getting coffee before the go straight to work. The morning rush started at 7:15 and it was a pretty long line. There was a point where there was 14 people in the line at one time and Oli and I worked hard to get through everyone.

"That was hard, Huh."

I nodded my head. I giggled a little bit as well.

"Well I suggest that you take your break now so that you can have some free time while not a whole lot of people show up."

I bowed to them to show them that I was thanking them.

It was sweet of them to let me have my break. I went to get myself a coffee for my break and I sat down at one of the tables to work and drink my coffee on this break.

Today I was doing some simple coding. We also have to study up because in the 2nd to last week we have our finals so I needed to pull up my notes for the testing notes. My teacher is nice and allows for 1 page of notes that you can use and you can use the front and back of the notes.

After my break I then went over to Oli and they told me that they were going to take their lunch.

I signed over 'Ok'. I knew that I needed to work and make the teas and coffees for this next half an hour. I worked through that whole half hour and It was also about 11:30 so I only had about an hour hour and a half till I am off work and I think that I am going to be staying for an extra hour and a half just to work on my college work. I worked on my own while Oli was on brake. There was only a group of 5 people that came in. They were talking about some kind of fictional novel. Most of their orders were very complicated and hard to do and the line piled up a little bit behind them though there was one person in that group that had a simple black coffee. This group of people took about 15 minutes because I had to grab some toppings from the back. There was 4 people behind them. One wanted to have a chai tea with some extra milk. There was also a person that wanted a simple coffee with some coffee art which tends to be hard for me to do though I was able to do it pretty well this time I did a simple heart design. The other two wanted the same thing as each other and got vanilla coffee with some of our whip cream and some caramel. After my second customer of the last four is when Oli came back from their break. The last hour of my shift I got to work a lot on my schooling but we had about 17 people that came in for my last hour. After that I got off and sat at the last open table and pulled out my laptop to begin writing my notes down and doing some of my classes about a half an hour into working. I hear the chair in front of me begin to move and I see the person from yesterday and Oli.

"Sorry y/n, there's just no other seats so I figured that he could sit here while you work and as he works as well." Oli said.

I just swooped my hand down to just symbolize that I don't care that they could do that if they wanted. 'If he's ok with it' I signed for them.

"Well if you want to sit you can alright." After that they ran behind the counter and he sat down in front of me. I just went back to working and mainly writing notes for my test when I hear Oli set down his cup of tea and also a small glass of black tea for me as well and I looked down to see on a napkin they wrote down 'Good Luck!!' what did they mean good luck? I just get back to work while slowly drinking my tea. Once my time passes and I look to see that it is 2:36 P.M. I needed to go home and feed Herb and that I needed to start streaming at 3 ish. So I got up and almost as fast as a rapid after snow melt packed up my items. Passed by Oli at the counter and dropped off my cup as I ran outside to start biking home. Without noticing the small piece of napkin that was slipped into one of my many notebooks. Once I got home I tossed my bag on my couch (safely). I also ran to herb who was also running to me. I picked him up and just hugged him slightly. I also went and got him some kibble and I have one more feeding before I need the new food. I checked when it was coming in because I always have the food set to come in a certain day of the month. It's coming in on Thursday 7A.M so its coming in 2 days from now meaning that tomorrow Herb gets to have some wet food.

I went over to my desk to grab some chips and sit in my chair to get ready to stream. I decided that I was going to use a few mods. I wanted to try a new mod pack that made villages spawn underground or maybe the Atlantis mod pack that I found. Out of those two I think I wanted to play on the Atlantis mod pack more than the underground village one. So I started to set that up while gathering other things that I would need like a pen and paper if something was said that I needed to write down or if I needed to mark what I was doing before if I have to stop before finding Atlantis. I also needed to grab my big water bottle because I don't want to get dehydrated while playing. After that I checked the clock to see that it was 3:18 so I needed to start the stream. I hesitantly pressed start as I began the Ok I Guess we are off to Atlantis Now stream.

I welcome the chat after what they were calling a forever of the Starting Soon screen. I welcomed them into what was going to be a chaotic stream.

'Chat many deaths will await me on this journey' I typed in the Minecraft chat

'Probably mostly mine'

Most of the chat was nice as I casually died in almost every way possible. I was having a rough time playing. I saw the death screen so many times and I was just having fun watching people laugh about my deaths but there was one person that stood out to me in my chat of about 100 people.

Beefratlog: You suck you know that. Right?

Beefratlog: Who can just only spend half of a one hour stream just dieing. When they say they have an old Minecraft hardcore world. Must have cheated on it.

I know that it is just a random person but their words kinda hurt. I just wanted a calm stream and that I wasn't gonna care about dieing or even reaching the goal of Atlantis to play. Some people in chat were trying to get him to stop posting mean things and the mods didn't know what to do because they were new to modding. They said a lot of things throughout the stream and a lot of them got under my skin for some reason. Most of the time it doesn't get under my thick skin but they managed to get under it. I played for a full 2 and 1/2 hours. I fought 1 of 3 elder guardians meaning I am 1/3 of the way to getting to Atlantis. For the last part of my stream I pulled open my google doc and wrote:

Well everyone I hope that you had a great stream filled with laughs like I did and I hope you guys are staying healthy and drinking water. And of course I will see you in tomorrow's stream. I will be active on discord for maybe an hour after the stream. Byeeeeee

After that I put the end screen up and sent my 105 viewers over to a small streamer that was grateful for the raid. I saw a lot of viewers saying bye and to have a good day which is always sweet of them.

As I opened up my Discord I saw that in the art section there was one of IndigoPoison getting chased by an elder guardian screaming. I found it great so I hearted it. I also saw in the main chat that people were talking about how they wanted to have a movie night soon and that they wanted to watch the movie Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus. I was taken back by it and saw that one of the people had it on disc and that they could play it on their computer because they had a disc reader. I decided that we shall watch Barbie and that on Friday instead of streaming, we are going to watch Barbie. I went on to twitter to broadcast the news that I am not streaming on Friday because of a discord event. I scrolled on twitter looking at the comments on my tweet and a lot of people were screaming Barbie in the comments. I let out a little chuckle and went over to herb because it was 6 o'clock and I needed to sit and work more on my classes I pulled out my laptop and went back to my classes and finished my homework for the next 2 days making it so that I only had my notes and also finding a time to get my test done on my planned out calendar. The last week of this month is our testing week so I have 2 more weeks till our testing period so I needed to plan when I would join the class to do my work I needed to find a day for me to get off of work.
