Chapter Text
It's the 4th of July, 1958. The Summer air is thick with the smell of barbeque.
Steve lets his eyes wander across the yard full of familiar faces.
Then his eyes land on you. Your sweet lips are painted in the classic Victory Red. You look precious—a true trophy for THE Captain America.
You laugh along with Peggy as you balance a baby on your hip. It's a tight fit as your belly is heavy with the newest addition to the family.
This is how he makes you happy. Steal you away from the pressure of the modern society, away from a 9-to-5 job.
No need to slave away for a boss that doesn't give a damn about your well being.
Here with him, as Mrs Rogers. All you need to worry your pretty little head about is the house the kids.
He always knew that you'd make a wonderful mother.
The other wives look at you with jealousy. Why wouldn't they, though.
You have a husband that gives you anything you ask for. Not to mention that your husband is Captain America. You have an adorable baby girl, and you are glowing with motherhood.
He can't wait to put baby number three in you. He'll try and get you plump with twins the next time.
"Honey." Your sweet voice calls for him. He watches as you waddle across the green grass. Has he mentioned how perfect you look.
"Can you take Melanie? I just need to run to the ladies."
"Of course." Steve takes the 11-month-old from your arms. Stealing a kiss as he does.
He watches you slowly make your way into the house. The house that he bought for you, for your future kids.
His eyes never leave you. Trying his best ser every detail of your body into his mind.
Ass your ass gotten fatter? Motherhood has really done you wonders.
"You have scored big time with that one," Peggy's husband says, puncturing with a pat to Steve's back.
"I really did."
What can he say, second time is the charm.
